catching you up the news you need to start your day.
It's the West Michigan Wake Up, powered by Minards on
Star one oh five point seven. Well, the man hunt
continues for those responsible for a shooting at Brown University
in Rhode Island. Authorities have released an enhanced photo asking

the public to pay very close attention to body movements,
things like posture gate and other patterns in order to
help them identify a new person of interest. Remember that
person of interest detained early on in the investigation was cleared.
The shooting that left two students dead and nine others
injured have canceled classes. The campus remains very on edge,

and the governor has ordered a sweeping review of school
safety measures. So once again the enhanced photo, with the
FBI and other investigators still on the hunt for who
this could be. In Lansing yesterday, more than one hundred
people joined in protest against data centers in our state,
holding signs noting that the dangers to water and potential

electricity rate increases because data centers would need so much
of that would hurt those living in our state. Michigan
Attorney General Dana Nessel criticized to the lack of transparency
from companies like DT associated with posting tax breaks for
data center projects. There are multiple places across our state

that are looking to build data centers, with those against
it fighting the argument they do not bring jobs. A
new six month pilot program launched yesterday to help reduce
the number of er visits. The program is a partnership
between the Grand Rapids Fire Department and core Well and
it will integrate a full time community health worker in

an er response situation. Fire Chief Brad Brown said to
would TV they respond to about seventeen thousand medical calls
a year. That's eighty a day, and around five percent
of those are repeat nine one callers with maybe a
chronic illness or other concern. So for nine one one calls,
they have fire truck and ems, sometimes police respond and

oftentimes it's not always needed. So this new partnership is
looking to not only help those with exactly what medical
needs they have, but to lower the cost to those
of us here. It's a very interesting six month pilot program.
Getting into sports, our West Michigan White Caps once again
capturing awards well into the winter. These guys are just

absolutely phenomenal. There's no way that you can argue that
they have officially been named the twenty twenty five Minor
League Team of the Year by Baseball America. That record
for them ninety two and thirty nine in twenty twenty five,
that tied a franchise record. And don't forget winning that
