What Are Your Christmas Traditions?

exactly a week from today is Christmas Day. I told you, man,
it goes in a blink, doesn't it. I'm curious about
your Christmas traditions growing up. I had one very specific

and that was we got to open one gift on
Christmas Eve. I think a lot of families do this,
and we did it last year with the kids. I
think it was our first year doing that because the
year before I felt like they were still little enough
they wouldn't have had any self control, so the gift
wrap would have come off Christmas. Even then, all of
the gifts would have been opened at Christmas Eve. And

they're all already hitting me up because we started to put
out a few, you know, like the gifts that come
from aunts and uncles and maybe Grim and Grandpa have
shipped a couple things, and they said, yesterday, he goes, so,
so will we be able to open one gift on
Christmas Eve? I was like, well see, and they're like, well,
I think that's what Santa like. I think Santa would

because then there's less to do on Christmas Day. My
little negotiators, this is what I call them. Six one six, four,
five eight, one oh five seven. Your Christmas traditions, maybe
it is opening gifts on a Christmas Eve or do
you save everything to Christmas Day? I feel like it's
a very fifty to fifty kind of thing. Good morning, Star.

Well, I have a pretty big blended family or step families,
so we do actually Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Oh wow, that's impressive.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
On Christmas Eve is like my immediate family Christmas, so
all the big stuff is done technically on Christmas Eve.

Well, invite me to your family. It sounds like you're
just getting two straight days of awesomess. Six one six,

I I have extended family here since I'm not from uh,
since I'm not from this town. I'll end up going
with my boyfriends and so his stepmom does the night before,
but then we celebrate the day of with the sister
the next day.

So both oh wow, okay, so that's right. Yeah, you know,
were the marrier that is a woman that's like, it's
a long couple days, but we're doing it.
