Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, good morning. It's Star one oh five point seven
would feel good, variety of the eighties till now it's Schmitty.
We got to talk about this. We are having kind
of a time in the iHeart West Michigan Studios this morning.
There was some kind of work being done on our
building last night, so they had to cut power for
a couple hours, which, as you know, is not the
greatest thing when you're talking about a bunch of radio stations,
(00:21):
but it seems to have like tripped a bunch of circuits.
So we have like no TVs. The computers are having problems.
There's like it that's not connecting. It keeps being told
like the DNS server or whatever. And then also the
electricity needed for our coffee pot is not working. So
(00:44):
I want to pose to you what I think is
one of the hardest questions in life. What could you
go without technology or coffee? Because everyone on this floor
is really kind of losing their mind because we come in.
I mean, if you're talking a morning show, the first
of us shows up here at four o'clock in the morning.
(01:05):
Caffeine is kind of life for this. So we've been
out here trying to fix this thing, and then we
went upstairs to another floor that like circuit also isn't working.
So we're sitting here. It's like, yeah, my computer screen
keeps flickering, but also I really need to have some
kind of energy six one six, four five eight, one
(01:25):
oh five seven. If you had to go without working
tech or without any kind of caffeination, which would you
be less of a monster for Because just taking a
quick feel of the ninth floor, I think we all
need coffee more than we need computers. I just everyone's
a little little on edge, little salty, little saucy because
(01:46):
we're sitting here with like just water four five eight,
one oh five seven. This is interesting. I got this
call from Morgan and you are in charge. Like your
office doesn't have coffee, okay.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
So my boss always me to pick up coffee on
the way into the office, and like ninety percent of
a time he never pays me back. And I'm not
talking like a single cup of coffee. This is like
a last day with an extra shot. It's like an
expensive cup of coffee.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
Oh, you needed to get that off your shoulders. You
wouldn't tell me where you work. You just want, hopefully
your boss to listen and be like, you need to
pay me for some of that coffee. That can be
an expensive run. See this is where my frugal West
Michigan self comes in, and I'm like, you know, like
five of those visits would more than pay for the
coffee machine that, by the way, isn't working here. I'm
(02:35):
on TikTok Live right now, and i want to shout
out yeppers and said, you need to call someone and
say you're using candle light and see how fast they
get over there. Ooh, door Dash of Rappuccino. We do
have a big bee right down the street, so we're
all trying to figure out who has enough commercial time
to like run down there and get everyone coffee. What
would you do? Could you go without tech or without caffeine?
(02:56):
Give me a call and post this up on Facebook too.
I want to see just how hardcore we are, all right,
