A screening of the Office is goingto be Wednesday, May eighth. I'll
have all the links and everything upfor that. But what inspired this tour
(01:27):
that you're doing. Well, youknow, just really demand. You know,
wherever I go, people are justwant more office stuff. There's now
office conventions around the country and officemeetups and stuff like that, and so
we thought it would be a goodidea to try a screening. I mean,
(01:49):
we've already sold more than a thousandtickets. It's going to be a
huge crowd. There's stuff for sale, there's gonna be a Dwight lookalike contest,
there's going to be a Q anda section the IP experience, and
you know, just office fans arerabbit and just want to give them more
office experiences. I can't tell youI'm not one of those. I'm not
(02:12):
very good at quoting movie quotes, some of them like the I guess maybe
the Bigger Ones or whatever my husbandis and I don't know anyway, but
I am able to quote Office TheOffice, because I just loved that show
and I think it resonates even today. Let me hear some quotes. What
are your favorite quotes? Oh,don't ask me now, Like I don't
even know. I don't even Ican't right now now, I fail hashtag
(02:32):
hashtag fail fail, immediately fail, immediately fail. No, I'm not.
I can't. Like I just ithas to be like in the moment,
or I'll remember, like a situation, or like the jokes that Jim did
to to Duy. It's just like, I don't even know. I can't.
I can't play. I'm not goodat these kinds. Again. I
suck at drinking games. I suckwhen I get put. I'm a DJ
(02:53):
for thirty five years. Don't evenask me a song right now. I
can't. I can't work under pressure. But I'm telling you I love.
What is a Bruce Springsteen song abouta moving body of water? The Tunnel
of Love? No, it's theriver. Well, besides the Riveride,
and also I work on the river. Do you see how I'm not good?
(03:16):
I'm not good. Yeah, I'msucked, really bad. It's really
bad. But I'm a fan ofyours, so you should be nice to
me. So now listen, Okay, I will throw it back to one
of my favorite movies on the planetthat you were in though, and I
don't even know. I bet youI would. I don't. Well,
I'm sure people would bring this upto you, but you probably wouldn't see
this coming. But I love RobZombie so much, and the fact that
(03:37):
you're in House of a Thousand Corpsesand that I know this information and retain
it is amazing. That was mythird movie I did. I came to
LA I did Almost Famous and GalaxyQuest, and I played small parts in
those movies, and then I gota lead in this crazy horror film House
of a Thousand Corpses, and uhsomehow I did auditioned and lucked into it
(04:00):
and Rob and we got along. And you know, that movie lives on
just like the Office does. Somethousand Corpses fans are are just as rabid
as Office fans. I that movieI'll never forget. I made a friend
go with me to the theater, and then they looked at me differently afterwards.
I'm like, but I love fromSafie. I love this movie.
So it was it was awesome.Right now, are you allowed to say
(04:24):
what episode of the Office you're goingto play? Is it going to be
snippets? Is it going to bean entire episode? Could just sort of
run our audience down the way it'sgoing to go? I was, I
was so afraid you were going toask me that. I can't. Okay,
I forget the name. I forget. Oh wait a minute, Wait
a minute, sir, Are thetables now turned? Are there? Are
(04:46):
there? Are that because of me? See? Because now you're married?
Hold on, no, you're lookingit up. I don't. I'm out
of the office. Hold on,stop talking for a second. I know
it's hard talking about one. Checkon. You have to stop decaffeinate yourself.
I just quoted the Office. Isaid, Oh, how the turntables?
(05:10):
I know? This is fantastic. All right, we're screaming Season four,
episode five, launch party, inwhich Dwight tries to sell more paper in
one day than the company's new website. That is the episode. There's it's
going to be q and a behindthe scenes stuff. VIP tickets are available
(05:33):
for a post show photo op.I don't know how much those are,
but you can. You can findthe tickets on Live Nation Toyota Oakdale Theater
tomorrow night, seven thirty. Iwant to see you Connecticut and Renee Dino.
I know there, oh you knowlisten. I love inside jokes.
(05:53):
I just still I definitely see whatit's a quote. Never mind, that
was pretty good. Thank you forgood But first and foremost so too,
I do want to talk quickly becauseI know we don't have a lot of
time and we have to wrap upbecause I know you're doing interviews and things
like that. But I do wantpeople to go out and see this.
But I also want to give youan opportunity because you your career is more
than the office. I mean, you've really never stopped working, and I
(06:14):
love that you can reinvent yourself justa little bit. And may I say
you with like a beard and likea lot of hair around your face look
like a serial killer in a goodway and a very different person. Because
it's like one of these times wereI forgot we were watching my husband and
I and I was like I thinkthat's Rain Wilson. He's like, that's
not Rain Wilson. I'm like,I think it is. We had to
like google you and like, ohmy god, that's Rain Wilson. So
(06:35):
like you could you could rob banksand not get recognized. I feel so
you've already compared me to a serialkiller and a bank robber. I love
that because that's what I aspire to. I do apologize. You know,
listen, listen, Renee, Listen, Connecticut, listen to the River.
(06:57):
I'm just an actor. I wasin New York City for ten years doing
theater before I did The Office.I did dozens of roles before I played
Dwight. I've done a good dozenor two roles since playing Dwight. And
I'm just an actor. This isthe one role that kind of took off.
But you know, there's been lotsof other stuff that I get to
do, and I'm just so grateful. I mean, if you get a
(07:19):
career in doing something that you love, like you having a radio show and
being able to babble incessively, thankyou. I deserve that. Then you
know we've made it right. Soyeah, I've got a new movie coming
out next month. Actually, withRobert de Niro. It's called Ezra and
(07:42):
it's about an autistic kid on aroad trip with Bobby Cannabali, a great
actor, and it's a fantastic movie. It's heartbreaking and funny and moving.
And I'm really excited to be apart of that. And I've got a
new book sold Boom that came outabout spirituality. I've got a new soul
(08:03):
Boom podcast you can check out thatfollow that podcast to have the probing,
meaningful conversations about the human experience.I got a lot of I've got a
lot of irons in the fire, and someday maybe I'll turn into an actual
serial killer or bank Robert, allright, Well that when you say it
like that, I hear what youmean. It sounds wrong. I just
(08:24):
meant as an actor. That's probablyyou know that. I feel like this
is terribly but I am a hugefan and I do want people to go
and see you, and I hopethat if I go there tomorrow and see
this, that I'll get to shakeyour hand because we are huge fans.
And of course I want to makesure people know that all the links and
(08:45):
everything, you can still get tickets. You can even walk up day of
show tomorrow to the Toyta Oakdale Theater. This is going to be a fun,
fun night. A live conversation withRain Wilson, of course, the
screening of the Office and Ray.Thank you for joining me. I really
appreciate you, Renee. It wasso nice talking with you, and I
hope you do come and I wouldlove to see you. Make sure you
get backstage or sneak backstage or dosomething. Would love to shake your hand
(09:09):
and say Hi, I know people. Maybe I'll make it happen. All
right, I'll see tomorrow, I'llsee all right. Sound good bye bye,
