Good morning, Thank you for listening to Community Access. I'm

Everybody's favorite guest Chaz the cream puff Man from the
Big E Alison.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
How are you.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
I'm so excited. I'm good.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
How are you? I'm wonderful. I'm everybody's favorite because of
the time of the year. You know, Christmas time they're
not crazy about me, But this time of the year.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
They love me.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
Why not Christmas time?
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Well, I'm not bearing gifts. Oh no, secluded. At that point,
the Biggie's over.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
We don't love you just for your cream Thank you
so much. You're welcome, but we do love your cream puffs.
They sounded bad.
Speaker 3 (00:37):
I'll take it. I'm known for it both ways.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
I just moved into a beautiful home in Thomaston and
I said on the air I have a huge beaver,
but I do and geese and all kinds of stuff.
So yeah, any rate to know. Let's go back to
the crew.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Start from the beginning, three to two one.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
It's okay, It's okay. So the Biggie is going on
in West Springfield, mass from September twelfth through the twenty
eighth and the creampuff man is here to talk about
the creampuff. You actually have a new flavor cream we do.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
We've been the last five years, we've been breaking new flavors,
which is wonderful. And this year I'm so excited because
most people don't know, but I'm an espresso drinker and
we have an espresso creampuff. Oh that is our new flavor,
along with our regular or original. I should say you
still at the park you can get chocolate ganache poured
(01:28):
on top of either or if you choose, and of
course at the cream puff station you can get it
clears and coffee. So tens of thousands last year went
out of the park. We had our biggest record attendance
last year in twenty twenty four, over one point six
million people. And we know, with your help, we're gonna
break it this year. Weather looks good. Weather looks like
(01:49):
it's in our favor for the next couple of weeks.
So fantastic, our fingers toes. Everything is crossed lakes.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Yes, I know you can't give me the recipe, but
why is the cream puffs so delicious?
Speaker 3 (02:02):
That's a great question, I know, because it is. It is.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
I mean it's it's okay. So they're prepared fresh daily.
I mean that's they're made on the premises, so this
isn't something that's made two weeks ago and they put
them there and they're old. They're fresh, they're light, they're fluffy.
The ingredients are special ingredients. Again, they are fresh, the eggs,
the special ingredients they put into it. It's blended right
there comes out and it's magnificent.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
But there's one thing you could tell me. I think, boy,
it's vanilla, right, there's.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
A special vanilla. Yeah, correct, yeah, son, I can't.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Tell you with that, but it is. It is a
special vanilla that they use.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
It's kind of like Willy Wonka and well I would,
but let me tell you, you know that special vanilla
that just makes it, Oh my gosh, it's so delicious.
For those who've never had one, you have to try
a cream puff.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
They are magnificent.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Not because I'm involved, because they are truly a great dessert.
And most people, if you're on the park and you
buy them, people try to eat them as they're walking.
They're two beings, so you have to split them in half.
But you don't cut them, Alison, you turn them like
the memories doos. You got to do them very gently,
pressed down, turn, turn, turn, and then you kind of
(03:16):
have an equal part and then they're doable to walk
and eat, to do a house so good, and then
wash them down a nice dark expresso.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
Sitting down watching my favorite show, just eating there.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
Oh my gosh, you're getting quite into this.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
Food's my favorite thing. Is the first thing I think
of when I wake up in the morning, this food.
What am I gonna eat? Where am I going to
get it? I should be like, thank you got them alive.
You know that's probably second on your list. It is
no second is I got to go to the bathroom.
Then I'm like, okay, so let's.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
Talk about the thing.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
Oh my gosh, two of them, So what is going on?
Let's talk about Let's talk about the live music, and
then we'll talk about.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
Some really great things. I mean, one thing I really enjoy.
Al Jardine, who is an Orange original member of the
Beach Boys, is coming in and he's doing a whole
tribute obviously to the Beach Boys, but with Brian Wilson's passing,
so I'm really really excited about seeing Al Jardine, and
he's he's terrific. His son is also part of the band,
has been part of Brian Wilson's band, The Beach Boys
(04:16):
for years too, So these guys are all close. They have.
We were talking about Gary Puckin and the Union. GAP's great.
I mean he still plays like one hundred and fifty
dates a year. Gary Puckett, Yeah, Firefall.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
You are the woman.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Yeah, good, nice chat.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Thank you. I thought i'd add that you didn't know
that was coming.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
No, I just know you have many gifts.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
Oh you're not just yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
They're saying you're funny.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
When we finished this, I'll tap dance a little Azzy
Tops are big act.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
That's closing. That's closing out our show.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
A foreigner there, muster rhymes, kid Larroy, I mean they're yeah.
Biggie does not let you down with talent in their
court of honor, which you get ticket. You just go
in and watch Biggie Arena, you know those those certain
shows there you have to purchase a ticket.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
But the easiest way to do is you go to.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
The big Ee dot com. If I can navigate it,
anybody can trust me. It's it's difficult for me to
dial a number on my cell phone, big e dot com.
You go there, you see the new foods, you see
what's been there before, you see what's going on. As
far as we talked about the Circus Spectacular, which is
for the key, you know, for everyone at one o'clock,
four o'clock, seven o'clock under the Big Tent. Every night
(05:28):
they have six o'clock, they have the parade. So but
these you see and then you can schedule like, okay,
I'm going next Wednesday. Oh and the seventeenth is Connecticut Day.
If anybody wants to go on Wednesday you were going
to see I got I'd beat you to that. And yes,
well that's christ job too, Yes I can. You can leave,
go have a cream puff and an espresso and I'll
finish from here. I got met Madison. You watch my
(05:50):
back right there you go. So that's that's I say.
You know, people say, how do you plan it out?
If you go on the website, you see all the acts,
the entertain at the foods, what do you want to
hit the for new stuff? Java Jungle we were talking
about before we went on the air. I mean that
is brand new. They do a crazy monkey froppuccino. I
can't that's peanut.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
Butter, chocolate, espresso, whipped cream.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Yeah, I mean.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Yeah, you could just eat your way through the big ea. Yeah, oh,
Taken the music, Taken, the Axe, something for all.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
And the rods. We need to talk about the animals,
which you know, people don't realize to start it on agriculture,
you know, in nineteen sixteen, so it's our one hundred
and ninth year doing this. So I mean there's there's
something for everybody there, you know, and you eat, but
you walk.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
You have to walk. Yeah, so you're burning it all off.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
And there's a bathroom like every ten feet.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
Which is great for us.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Yes, you know, it's drinking especially. I still have a
picture of when my kids were little. It was like
a backdrop and you put your faces in yeah oh yeah,
yea yeah, and we were all sheep. It's just so
special that we have that to look back on. We've
had a wonderful It would have.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Been great if it was all the beavers, like the
family be your family.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
I lived as well you started, Alison. It just happens.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
Animals are a good one though, Alison.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
Yes, yes, we have the farmer ramas or on Town Village,
the Avenue of the states, all of the things that
people can expect, the all the horshp yes.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
All the horseshoes. Yeah, yeah, those are terrific. Forget what they.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
Can buy there at the vendors.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
Oh my goodness, it's tens of thousands of square feet
of space. I mean seriously, and this truly happened. I
was we were on the road one day doing this
tour and it rained one day and we went back
to the Biggie and they needed socks. I actually went
and bought brand new pair of socks. Are or you
can get a hot tub, or you can get blankets.
So it's people go to shop. I mean, there is
(07:51):
really everything you can imagine. You could spend the day
there just shopping and not doing food acts, animals, you know,
any of that stuff.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
Just going shop for the day.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
Yeah, one day really isn't enough.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
No, it truly isn't. You know, it really isn't. And
also we're talking with the cream puffs. There are satellite
places so you can come to the bakery. You were saying,
why is it so good because they bake them fresh there,
But there are two other satellite spots where if you
go on the Biggie and look at the maps you
will see those, so one is kind of near an exit.
So if you want to buy them before you leave,
you don't have to carry them the whole time you're
(08:24):
there because they come in these nice boxes and you
can free JEFFI freeze one.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
You told me to last year, Yes, yes I did, and.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
It's like an ice cream sandwich. It's a completely different
taste for those.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
Again, if you've never been to the Biggie, you need
to go. If you've never had a creampuff, you need
to taste it. It's heavenly, it's light, it's luffy. Honestly,
I don't even know what I can compare it to.
You know how you love If you've ever had a begnet, Yes, okay,
there's nothing in the world a benette, right, there is
nothing like creampuff from the Biggie.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
And it's only you know, I say this every year,
but there's only seventeen days you can buy these and
they freeze great.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
I mean, if you freeze them.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
You can pull them out and thaw them out a
month later, or you can eat them, as we just said, frozen.
So you know, come in, buy a few dozen and
you should well absolutely, because you're not going to get
him till another year.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
I'm speaking with Chaz the creampuff Man about the Big
Ee again. It's going on from September twelfth through the
twenty eighth and West Springfield, mass Go to the Big
e dot com and get your tickets and make sure
you get that delicious greenpuff and try the espresso one
that's the flavor for this year.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
Yeah, and I'll be their opening day. If anybody's around
the bakery, come and see me.
