Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning, thank you for listening to Community Access. I'm
Alison Demurz. My guest today is Zach Morris. He is
a marketing manager with Flight Adventure Park in Manchester. Good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Hello, that's great to be on.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Thank you so much for being here today. For those
who don't know about Flight Adventure Park, what happens there.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
So we were once a trampoline park, but now we've
taken it to new heights literally with all new space
and aviation themed attractions. So you go from we have
like a lunar park, which is a twenty four hundred
square foot inflatable to a lunar court where you can
play basketball, dodgeball or soccer, and then we also have
the trampolines that were well known for So there's just

(00:39):
so much, you know, that we've added to this park
and it just got a huge visual update as well.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Wonderful. Where are you located in Manchester.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
One forty five Spencer Street.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
And if people'd like to go to your website, it's
Flightadventurepark dot com backslash Manchester. That's correct, you just had
your grand opening.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Yeah, absolutely, it was this Friday and Saturday. We on Friday.
Welcome to aviation legends, which Robert hoot Gibson, he commanded
four of the five Shuttle missions that he flew, and
his wife actually is doctor Ray Sedden and she was
one of the first six female astronauts in space.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Was it a great turnout?

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Absolutely? Yeah. We had a lot of fun, tons of vendors,
lots of prizes. Everyone seemed to be having a blast
and enjoying the new look.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
How nice. What are the ages of the children or
adults who can attend?

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Yeah, absolutely so. At flight we go by if you
can walk, you can jump, so pretty much you know
walking age, you know you can participate. We also offer
a program called Kid's Flight, which is exclusively for jumpers
age six and under. We have our own little dedicated
time every Monday through Saturday for them to enjoy the
park and one parent or guardians included in the price
of admission.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
You have stem or steam elements that are included in
your aviation attractions. How does that work?

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Yeah? Absolutely so. It's kind of like learning without realizing
your learning, Like going up our Shuttle climb, you don't
realize you're actually jumping out of an aircraft and it's
supposed to kind of stimulate your mind and get you
thinking about like space and aviation and things like that.
And then also in our party hangars, we have like
space and aviation facts, So if you have a birthday
party at our park, you'll walk into one of our

(02:08):
rooms and see facts on the wall like, oh, the
Milky Way galaxy is like thirteen point six billion years old.
So a bunch of cool little space and aviation themed
rooms and tidbits that you'll see throughout the park.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Fantastic. Let's talk about your blog. You have monthly articles.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Yeah, absolutely, it's www dot learn dash with dashflight dot com,
and yeah, we post monthly articles that are related to
stem and steam. So this past month we actually talked
about like space rovers and robots, I think specifically on Mars.
But what's cool is these are geared towards our younger
audience and they're really reader friendly, and you can read

(02:42):
the article and then we do a short little three
to four question quiz at the end, and then you
can take the quiz redeem points and then actually use
them at flight, whether it's jump time or a family
four packer checking out our glow in the dark flight night,
Like there's actually you can redeem for those kind of things.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
That is so great. So take me through the day.
I walk in through the front door. I'm five years old.
I'm going to lose my mind. What do I see? First?
Give us a visual of all of it.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Absolutely, So you'll walk in first, you'll get checked in,
you'll get your wristband, and then you'll head up to
our platform. Straight ahead, you'll see our lunar court, which
is where we have the basketball, the dodgeball, and the soccer.
And to the right of that you'll see a big
space shuttle, which is our Lunar Park inflatable. And there's
actually about like six to eight attractions in that inflatable itself.
One of my favorite ones is called Planet Hop and

(03:26):
it's like three different planets and you jump to each
one without trying to fall off. I mean, I can't
do it, but watching guests do it, it's pretty entertaining.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
I know, just being in the trampoline. My legs were
burning at this age, you.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Know, absolutely, Yeah, I've I did a promo video for
our company a couple of years ago, and one of
the funny part was me doing these attractions and it
was just I was out of breath. In thirty seconds,
I was falling off like the shuttle climb and things
like that. It was really funny. But yeah, no, it's
intense that it's a good workout and I you know,
like I said, it's for all ages.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Yeah, it's really family friendly, which is wonderful.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Absolutely. We have a lot of like programs that you
know are geared towards family. We actually do a family
Night on Tuesdays where we have I think it's five
jumpers for forty dollars can jump for sixty minutes. We
do a buy one, get one free every Thursday evening
so you can purchase one ticket at the second one free.
Like I said, we have our Glow in the Dark
Jumps Friday and Saturday from seven to nine, and then
we also do memberships and things like that, and our

(04:20):
memberships are really good price. It literally pays for itself
in two visits and it's you know, you can do
it monthly, every six months or yearly.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Let's talk about the multiple party rooms absolutely. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
So in Manchester we have six different themed rooms. We
have like a space shuttle room, a plane room, and
they're all geared towards that theme. Like you'll see a
little mural with a little blurb of like a space
factor or like a plane fact. So each room kind
of has its own theme. So that's really cool because
depending on which room you're at, you can see a
different space factor, a different aviation fact.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
It's like Christmas morning for these kids. They just walk
in and they don't know what to do first.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Absolutely, yeah, there's honestly so much to pick from this park.
There's a lot to see and do. And what's really
cool we haven't even touched on it yet is our murals.
We got new upgraded murals and a lot of it
has the glow and the dark paint. So at night
when we do our flight nights, you literally feel like
you're glowing and just like looking around the park. It
is like the coolest experience.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
So what is flight night?

Speaker 2 (05:12):
So flight night is almost like our regular jump time,
except we turned down the lights and we turn up
the music. We turn on our black lights and you
glow underneath them. So I would recommend wearing like a
neon or a white shirt because you really look like
really cool on our trampolines and our attractions. But yeah,
flight nights where we turned down the lights and crank
the music and whatnot.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
So this is the last of eight parks that were
retrofitted with these themed experiences.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Absolutely, yes, Manchester was the final one. So it's been
it's been a process. It's you know, before COVID, like,
we didn't know if this would all be possible, but
our CEO, Steve had a vision and we made it happen.
But yeah, Manchester is the last of the eight and
then all of our parks will be fully aviation in
space themed.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Wow, how are you liking it?

Speaker 2 (05:53):
I love it honestly. I honestly wake up some days
and I can't believe this is an actual job to
get to go to these parks, work with these teams,
you know, relaunch these parks. But you know, all the
feedback we receive is super positive. Everyone loves that lunar
court playing basketball. There's people that purchase our memberships just
to play on the lunar court because they'll play basketball
for hours. So the reception has been super positive. You know,

(06:14):
I think just the whole space and aviation theme fits
us being flight so it's it's awesome.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Why should somebody do a membership program over just purchasing
a ticket?

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Now and then our jump Passes started around twenty dollars
and for a monthly membership, you're almost paying twenty five
ninety nine a month and you get to jump all month. So,
like I said, within a couple visits, it pays for itself.
Plus there's also discounts on our cafe. There's some retail discounts.
We host special events throughout the year, which we're about
to launch Member Nights, so they'll you know, you'll be
able to attend that for free. Then also we do

(06:44):
events like Monster Mash, which is like a Halloween event.
Jingle Jumpers is our holiday event, and with a membership,
especially our first class one, you can attend those for free.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
That is just so great. I could just stand there,
maybe do work on my phone, and let my kid
get all that energy out, just jump and jump and jump, run,
and it's just wonderful.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Absolutely. Yeah, we pride ourselves on like kind of shifting
away from the screen time so the parent can work
and hang out and you know, you take care of
the fun here. So, like I said, we promote active
play and we want you to have a once in
a lifetime experience every time you visit.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
I'm speaking with Zach Morris. He is marketing manager with
Flight Adventure Park. They're in Manchester. They just had their
grand reopening. If you want more information, just go to
Flightadventurepark dot com backslash Manchester. Zach, thanks so much for
being here today.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Absolutely thank you. It's been an absolute pleasure. I hope
everyone can come down and see our new look. We'd
love to have you
