(00:00):
I heard communities. Thank you somuch for listening. We are broadcasting from
the Traveler's Championship. We're right nextto the Mini golf. It is Birdie's
for Charity. We are raising asmuch money for charities as possible. I
want you to go to Traveler's Championshipat dot com and you're going to click
on Birdie's for Charities. Scroll throughfind a charity that resonates with you.
These charities are going to earn extraBirdie books. I'd like to call it

(00:22):
thanks to our friends at Webster Bank, fifteen percent on the dollar earned for
every Birdie made. It is sosuper exciting. Thank you to Webster Bank.
Thank you to Enterprise and all ofthe partners that are making this tournament
amazing. Now we have at oneof the partners of the tournaments here with
us today, Harvard Healthcare seated nextto me as their senior vice president of
their Community network. Please welcome EricSmall and Eric It's nice to have you

(00:44):
here. Renee glad to be here. So tell me a little bit about
what you guys are doing here.I know you have some great tents here,
a lot of attraction zem free forthe goers of this event. Absolutely.
We've been partners with the Travelers along time and we have a sport
zone tent on right on the fifteenth, and I'm really open to everyone,
hoping you'll come in and learn alittle bit about how we're serving the community

(01:06):
athletes. And there's a golf assessmentso you can look at how bad your
swing has how to get your bodyback in shape. So we're really happy
to invite people. We've been talkingto a lot of the members and a
lot of the team that are inthat booth, and I feel like this
is the best time to get getfree advice from professionals. Where can you
You don't even need your insurance card, you're just going I just did it,

(01:27):
and so you know, and Idon't want to tell you about my
golf game, but they told meabout my golf game because they said,
oh my gosh, Eric, you'refifty five year old man. You're tight.
This is why you're having the problems. And you know what, They're
right. If I do these things, I'm gonna get back. You're going
to be the pro next year here, I'm gonna play. Yeah, I
might show up. You're gonna beon the board out there. So I

(01:48):
have faith in you. But it'sreally it's really cool to have you here.
And obviously we're all having fun. We're at the Traveler's Championship, a
lot of sports is taking place,a lot of great golf, a lot
of community. But that's something elsethat we need to think about. Our
health and our sporting and our athletes. How it's all related. Right,
So talk a little bit about therelationship of Harvard Healthcare and your community network
and kind of bringing everything full circlefrom our players to their health and the

(02:12):
athletes and just the regular golfer.Yeah, So, Renee, one of
the things that we really wanted totell the story about is our campus Care
service line. So we are notjust in the community, but we're in
communities of students and on the campusesof Connecticut College, Trinity College, University
of Harvard, and Quinnipiac University, and we are bringing health to right to
campus and in advanced ways. Soall the things that the advanced care that

(02:37):
Harvard Healthcare has to offer, wedeliver that through the campus health system right
there to the athletes. And really, great healthcare is about great talent,
but it's also about great connections ofgetting access and so we make that easy
for people. And guess what, when you make it easy and people do
the right thing, they get theright response and they get better. It's
all about I like that you're goingin at a young age too. You

(03:00):
know, you're getting them as ayouth. If you're getting them in college,
you're getting them young, you know, playing and so that they can
take better care of their bodies orbe more aware and in tune with their
bodies. Whether they take the adviceor now, who don't know, right,
but I think more times than not, if they're committed, they're going
to take that advice. So wehave healthier athletes. Healthier athletes. I
mean, they're asking questions today andwe're thinking about things that no one ever

(03:23):
thought about. Really, the impactof where sports psychology is on how you
think about yourself as an athlete andhow you actually process all the stress and
demand. So our counseling team andour sports psychologists have a really huge influence
on overall health. It's it's reallytremendous on how we're connecting. I love
the studies that they conduct about peopleathletes in academia because they have shown study

(03:47):
if a child starts young with astructured after school activity. It may not
be athletics, right, but ifit's structured, they will go on to
higher education and they will do betterbecause they have that st No, obviously
we're going to talk about athletes becausewe're at the Travelers Championship, but they
have proven the athletes that have thatstructure actually more committed to their lessons,

(04:09):
to their learning right to continuing theireducation. And now they've got this health
component. And mental health is sucha big focus this year too. Yes,
it sure is. And you know, when you build healthy habits and
you really focus on wellness, thereare pieces that you have to learn to
do those and you have to learnto consistently do this. It has to
be all around you. So reallythe focus of our Campus Scare Service Line

(04:30):
in partnership with these collegiate leaders isreally make sure it's accessible so people can
practice, they learn the right things, and they just start to form those
everyday good things, whether it's eatingor whether it's exercising or sleep regulation or
just learning about who they are. We're there with specialists and partner with these
schools. Absolutely, it's the Traveler'sChampionship. Now it's day three for us.

(04:55):
But day two of play, we'regoing to be here through Sunday,
and I know your Sports Zone tenwill be here through Sunday as well.
Now, Friday today, this iswhen we are chatting. It is sold
out, So I am sorry tosay if you're not already here, well
maybe you can look on some ticket. All yeah, we'll see what we
can do to make sure some ofthese listeners get a chance to come in

(05:15):
here. Say almost want to come, knock on the door and we'll answer
and get But here's the thing.Saturday Sunday, you still have time to
come. But the point is isthat we're talking about this to create awareness
after the tournament as well, sopeople can come visit you and inquire about
you after this tournament and learn aboutcreating a healthier body. Right, yeah,
Renee, remember that Harvard Healthcare isin your community. We're in there

(05:38):
in your community to serve you,and so when you come to the Travelers
Tournament, we're also here. Soreally it's just about recognizing where your resources
are. We definitely want you tocome down and experience us and consperience what
we can support you with. Soyeah, come on down. It's always
a pleasure to have you here fromHarvard Healthcare Community Network, their senior vice
president, Eric Smollen here at thetravel Or Championship through Sunday. I am

(06:01):
