Speaker 1 (00:00):
We were talking about the the folks who were texting
in the program.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
You said we had a couple others that Texas did.
Speaker 3 (00:08):
Yeah. Commenting on our YouTube live stream, we mentioned the
earlier comment from from Zach Zach Callway said he was
watching from Lexington. Well, Genie Buckner said, not to be
outdone by the Lexington listener, I'm listening from Davidson, North Carolina.
I love that I lived, I could walk across the
(00:28):
Cornelius Davidson lines. I love that. And then Terrence McLean
commenting listening in from Omaha.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Okay, Nebraska.
Speaker 3 (00:35):
So we have people from Canada, Nebraska, North Carolina. Man,
we got some got some listener diverse listeners. Omaha one
of my favorite towns in the country, especially in June.
If the word's there, but I like it anyway. It's
a good It's a good and friendly city. You may
or may not have heard. The Texas men's basketball schedule.
(00:57):
Complete schedule released today.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
Now I say that with a caveat all the non
conference games had already been announced. The SEC schedule of
games has been announced. For example, the Loghorns will open
their SEC play. Their first ever conference opponent in basketball
will be Texas A and MH and it'll be at
(01:23):
read Areena in College Station on Saturday, January fourth. Now
I should point out that the start time for that
game on that Saturday is TBA. In fact, every start
time for every SEC game is TBA. Not only is
(01:45):
every start time TBA, but the games that are not
on Saturday are on either Tuesday or Wednesday, and that
has not yet been determined. So, for example, they do
open play on Saturday, January fourth in College Station at
Texas A and M. Then their first ever SEC home
(02:07):
game will be against Auburn, and it'll be either Tuesday,
January seventh or Wednesday.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
January eighth.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
The ensuing Saturday in the eleventh, Rick Barnes gets his
first experience of Moody Center, Tennessee will be here that's
January eleven. Then there's another Tuesday Wednesday in Norman at Oklahoma,
and then from there on to the O'Connell Center there
in Gainesville, Florida to play Florida on Saturday, January eighteenth.
(02:39):
Back home either Tuesday the twenty first or Wednesday the
twenty second against Missouri, and then they wrap up their
A and M series pretty early in conference play. Actually
on January twenty fifth at home against the Yaggies.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
Then I know you'll want to mark this down. They
go to Ole Miss and it'll be.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Either Tuesday, January twenty eighth or Wednesday, January twenty ninth,
when they play the ole Miss Rebels.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Of course coach by Chris Beard. They come.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
Then they go from there to Baton Rouge to play
LSU Saturday February first, they come home and play Arkansas
either Tuesday February fourth or Wednesday February fifth. The ensuing
Saturday Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville at Alabama. Come home another
Tuesday or Wednesday, February eleventh or twelfth against Alabama, followed
(03:29):
by a home game on Saturday fifteenth against Kentucky. So
Kentucky we'll play in Austin. We'll play the Long Horns
in Austin for the first time. I saw him play
an e leite eight game years ago at the Iarwin Center.
And then they have their open date in the middle
of the week that following week, and they play at
South Carolina on Saturday, February twenty second.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
That's the week.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Remember On Thursday night, Kadi and the Phoenix Suns will
be taking on the Spurs at Moody Center on Thursday
the twentieth, but Saturday, the twenty second, Texas will be
at South Carolina, then followed by a Tuesday or Wednesday
in Fayetteville, Arkansas against the Razorbacks, followed by a Saturday
home game on March first against Georgia, one more Tuesday
Wednesday on either the fourth or fifth of March at
(04:16):
Mississippi State, and they conclude the regular season on Senior
Day at home Saturday, March eighth against Oklahoma.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
So there you go. There's your that's your.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
SEC conference basketball schedule, and of course the non conference
games at Albeny already been released. They're going to play
in Brooklyn against Syracuse and then, depending on winning and
losing either Texas Tech or Saint Joe's, they will play
at NC State in the sec ACC Challenge on Wednesday,
December fourth. They will play Yukon, the two time defending
(04:50):
national champions at home on Sunday, December eighth. They will
play all of those and many others. They open the season,
of course against Ohio State in Las Vegas at T
Mobile Arena on Monday, November fourth, and tba's on a
lot of those games. The Syracuse game is at six
o'clock in the evening from Brooklyn that we know, and
(05:11):
then if they win, they would play at eight thirty
in the championship game the next night against the winner
of Saint Joseph's and Texas Tech. If they lose, they
would play the loser of that game at six o'clock
the next night. Just About everything else is TBA, but
they did release the schedule so they know their opponents
and the dates that will play. With the exception of
(05:32):
those midweek SEC games will either be a Tuesday or Wednesday.
We'll be back to wrap up Hour number two on
Sports Radio AM thirteen under the Zone.
