now four days away from kickoff. We are a mere
four days away from the start of the twenty twenty
four college football season four of the Texas Longhorns toward that,
and we've got a lot of things on tap for today.
First of all, of course, the producer of the program

what's next for you? You wanted to get Michael Parsons

deal done? Or is that too far down the road
for Jerry's watch? Oh that's way too far. Jerry Jones
can't do deals two years out. Come on, Craig, we
know this now, y sly me Dak Prescott for sure,
But I wouldn't say I'm pretty fired up. I'm I'm
glad that Ceedee Lamb got paid. But again, you know,
I wanted to watch him play live this year, so
that'll be to let me know how he looks. And

the Cowboys are struggling meteorocrity for another season under Mike
McCarthy and Jerry Jones, who is not leaving until he dies,
according to what he told Clarence Hill just a few
days ago.

So should that really surprise any of us?

No, no, you know, I mean he is going to
sit in charge of it until you know he judged
to be mentally incapacity. There are many who feel he
right now is mentally incapacitated to operate his football team.

Regardless of that, he is the owner of the team
as well as the president general manager, so he will
continue to be the decision maker on those kinds of things.

And he was he was feeling himself a little bit yesterday.

He was pretty proud of himself, he said in the
podcast with our good friend Clarence Hill about how he
gets things done. So it was it was entertaining Jerry stuff,
as it always is.

Can you get Dak done now? Is that possible?

Because the report that came out yesterday was that the
Cowboys were not close to a deal with Dak Prescott
or Michaeh.

I guess I'm really not real surprised by that either,
you know, like you said, He'm not gonna get things
done that.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
Quickly on that sort of thing. So yeah, I'm not
really that surprised by that.

It's interesting because if Dak plays this year, I mean,
he could have another MVP caliber type year. He hits
the open market, Craig, He's going to get sixty million
dollars from some team. But again, if he suffers an
injury or something like that happens, you know, then his
value could possibly drop. Now, Kirk Cousins still got paid
by the Atlanta Falcons coming off that that injury that

cost him season last year. And Kirk is I think
closer to the forty than he is thirty, although Dak
just turning I think thirty one, thirty two something like that.
So at lot of play here, Dak does have the levers,
so interesting to see how it plays out this season.
But the price will not go down for Dak Prescott
unless something catastrophic happens, which I'm not hoping.
