Speaker 1 (00:09):
Back to the Craig waysho connect with Craig through the
text slide by texting Texas to eight one five three
zero followed by your message. Standard message and data rates
may apply.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
That was some good sound from long Worn's head coach
Steve Sarkisan will have more with sark coming up next hour.
I want to jump back. Let's let's go to the NFL.
We'll get to the Thursday night game uh in a
little bit, but I do want to talk about the
games of this weekend on Sunday. Listen, it's noon kick
Jerry World. Let's just jump right on the Is this

(00:42):
an easy game for you to skip? You you have
vowed not to watch any Cowboys. You didn't watch them live.
You saw replay stuff, but you didn't watch them live.
That's that's your your your vow and the stance you're
taking unless than until they reached the NFC Championship game.
So that was was the only game going on at

(01:02):
the time last week, so it might involved a little
more creativity to step around that this one. You've got
other games. Even though Dallas is obviously gonna be the
league game on Fox, it was a little bit easier
for him because he kicks it noon the one against
the Saints.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
That's a good question. I didn't know what time it
was until you told me. I figured it was going
to be probably the three thirty game. Yeah again, but
I mean, right now, every Cowboys game is easy to skip.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Why do you say that they looked good last week?
If you wouldn't know, you didn't say, actually you saw
the replay.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
Yeah, they're playing the Browns. The Shawn Watson, I mean,
he's too busy firing off tweets from his burner account
that he needs to get worked out with. The Browns,
by the way, would be better if Joe Flacco was
their quarterback, which is pretty crazy to think after the
Shawn Watsons twenty twenty season, in Flacco's twenty twenty season,
if he even played so. But hey, if the Saints win,

(01:55):
then maybe the Saints are for real. But Dallas should
take care of it. This is against a Saints team
that I mean, it's still Derek Carr. I know they
whooped up on the Panthers, but man, that was a
lifeless Panthers team that we saw in the Week one.
But I know it's gonna happen. Craig we're gonna win
this week. They'll somehow beat Baltimore. In week three, it'll
be three. Oh, and you're gonna be like, you're still

(02:17):
not watching the Cowboys, and I will say, yes, you're
darn tooting right, I am not watching the Cowboys. Or
they'll be one and two and I'll be like, see,
I told.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
You so, there you are. Let me get your thoughts
on some other games also in the noon window, as
they say in the TV business, Tampa Bay at Detroit,
Why two straight home games? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Well, first of all, I mean Baker Mayfield in the
Bucks last week. I mean, people including myself probably continue
the doubt what Baker Mayfield can do. But he's been
one of the more consistent quarterbacks in the NFL. And
you take away all of his years in Cleveland, which
he was, you know, probably injured for a lot of
those and just played through it. He's turned into a

(02:57):
very good quarterback. They have great weapon, I mean Mike
Evans and Chris Godwin, and their defense is nasty. But Detroit,
who believed was your NFC pick, took them out of
the NFC when Super Bowl. Some people aren't as high
of them as as they were before after they went
over the Rams because you know, you know they were
losing in that game after Goff's interception. But this should

(03:18):
be a really fun game to watch because Detroit's roster
from top to bottom Craig is so loaded. That's probably
my favorite game of the week.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
And it'll be interesting to see. It's also how the
schedule makers did this. The Lions open with two straight
home games going in reverse order of the teams they
beat in the playoffs on their home field. Interesting Rams
in the divisional round, Bucks in the wildcard round. They
beat both of them, remember or actually Rams in the

(03:49):
wildcard round, Bucks in the divisional round to get to
the NFC Championship. So it is in reverse order in
that respect. One other game, I want to ask you
about Colts and Packers. What do you need study? This
is gonna be between two old, old school NFL teams,
not really rivals anymore, that sort of thing that would
have to go all the way back to when the
culture in Baltimore. But the Packers, he'll have Jordan Love.

(04:13):
So here's Malik Willi's going up against Indianapolis.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Yeah, Malik Willis as their quarterback could be could be
a real tough day for Packers fans and for the
Colt I mean Anthony Richardson. He had some of the
best throws on Sunday and also some of the worst throws.
So well, his development continue. Obviously he's got a long
ways to go, but I mean he has flashed some

(04:39):
great glimpses of being possibly a great NFL quarterback going forward.
And can the Packers avoid an oh and two start
for a team that's in a really tough division? Now,
I mean, look at how the Vikings look that Sam Darnold.
Oh and obviously the Lions are going to be a
great team. So the Packers, who have a really tough schedule,
they may end up being one in three or even
oh and four by the time Ordan Love comes back

(05:01):
and find themselves in a deep hole looking at the playoffs.
So Kim Malik Willis be an average quarterback, can he
give him a victory? And if not, do they go
after a Ryan Tannehill or make a trade for a
Joe Flacco or Jamis Winston.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
We'll see ANAA Mitchell caught his first NFL pass and
a baby Hopefully ad can get another one and and
help the Colts no matter what It is the home
opener for the Packers at Lambeau. Remember they opened in
Brazil against the Eagles, and that's where Jordan Love got

(05:33):
hurt and he's going to be out. We're not exactly
sure how long he'll be out, but he is going
to be out. We'll look at some other NFL games,
both in the early window and in the late window
coming up in the next hour. We'll be sure and
do that. Also coming up next hour, Roger Wallace joins
us from k x AN. We'll talk about the Loghorn

(05:55):
football team. His surprise, the player who is surprised Tim,
I'll tell you who has kind of surprised me a
little bit. And it's one on offense and one on
defense so far. So we'll do that coming up, but
we will be back to wrap up our number two
of the program here on this Thursday afternoon on sports
