Speaker 1 (00:00):
And back to talking about some college football in the SEC.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
We've already talked quite.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
A bit about Oklahoma and what you know, we'll find
out quite a bit about them. If maybe they're just
holding a few things back as some have suggested against
opponents like Houston and Tulane to in preparations for a
really good Tennessee team coming in. He kind of hope

(00:30):
so if that's the case for there, because they haven't
really been impressive impressive, they just haven't really been that impressive.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
So we'll see. We'll see if that's in the case.
I think also correct, they're kind of injuries like Texas
are starting to kind of ramp up in Norman, they're
dealing with a little injury bug as well. Yeah, I
get healthy. A lot also depends on the development of
Jackson Arnold. He's still a young quarterback, still young quarterback,

(01:00):
and is he has drives where it's like you can
tell he's got that fresh he's got that. He's just
a sophomore now. The drives were he looks like a
good quarterback. He's definitely mobile and had a big touchdown
running the game as well. We've talked about Texas A
and m LSU with some resilience. What a fun game
that was.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Yeah, coming back and and you know it's it's a
shame that the that the penalty was called on what
would have been a pick six for South Carolina might
have put the game away.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Uh but uh, great helped me out with with the
ruling on that. So even though it was after the
interception was thrown, it still comes back. Why isn't that
just a dead ball penalty?

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Yeah, because because the play is still alive, it's not
a dead ball.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
That makes sense.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Yeah, if if if he had cleaned the quarterback's clock,
if the guy intercepting just went down to a knee
and then he cleaned his clock, different issue post possession foul.
But the play is still in in uh, in action
at at the moment as well. Other than Texas or Georgia,

(02:05):
most impressive SEC team you've seen to this point.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
I think it's Tennessee. I think Tennessee's up there, just
because I think they have some dogs on both sides.
The line, offensive line, defensive line. Ole Miss is right
there as well. Jackson Dart has looked phenomenal so far
this season. I got that star wide out Trey Harris
Henry Parris Junior has been a great running back. But

(02:29):
I think Tennessee is a little bit better of a
football team than Ole Miss, and unfortunately for Texas they
avoid both those teams this season. Tennessee will not play
Ole Miss this season in the regular season. So, but
I think if you're looking at potential SEC title matchups,
honestly correct. I think Alabama can be Georgia at Bryan
Denny in two weeks, and if Georgia loses that game

(02:51):
and Texas wins, there might not be the Bulldogs in
the SEC title game. It might be either Alabama, but
it could be very well Tennessee or miss Either way,
a really good SEC team is going to be left
out out of Atlanta.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Yeah, more than one.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
I think when you consider LSU in South Carolina being
sold Missouri.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
I mean Andy, they came back.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Yeah, they're all solid teams. All right, We'll be back
to wrap up today's edition of the program on Sports
Radio AM thirteen under the zone of the iHeartRadio app.
