Speaker 1 (00:00):
We hope to help you get over the hump for
some others. And we always say this Wednesday might be Monday,
or it might be Friday, whatever it might be, We're
glad to have you with us. Welcome to the program
this afternoon here on Sports Radio AM thirteen under the Zone.
My name is Craig Way. Glad to have you with us.
US today has a different designation. If you were listening

(00:24):
to the program yesterday, you heard the erstwhile producer of
this radio program, Cameron Parker, detail a most unfortunate thing
that happened to him. I believe on Monday evening he
was lifting weights and either put too much on the
bar and didn't have someone to spot him, or just

(00:48):
did something wrong while weightlifting. As a result of that,
it has incapacitated him. It has actually debilitated him to
the point where and I'll tell you the story of
just how debilitating it was for him coming up and
inconceivable because it kind of belongs in there.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
But the bottom line isn't I'm.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Making fun of him. I hope he's gonna be getting better.
That the doctors are on my He's not here today,
and hopefully he'll be able to return tomorrow. A reminder,
I'm going to be out tomorrow and Friday, this being
the open date week. You've got some personal things that
I'll be taking care of, and Linda and I will
be heading up to the Dallas Forward Metroplex as well

(01:30):
for the weekend. So I'll be out tomorrow and Friday,
but hopefully Cam will be back tomorrow and also Andrew
Zimma will be checking in also with him tomorrow and Friday.
In the meantime, speaking of firstwhile our guy behind the
counter today, if you will, on the board, is the

(01:54):
talented producer of the Morning Kickoff, which you hear each
and every weekday morning mon Day through Friday, seven am
to nine am here on Sports Medio AM thirteen hundred
the Zone. He is the eyes and ears and the
production value that brings you my cardball hard and the

(02:14):
world's Strongest Man, Mark Henry. But it's Khalil Randall who's
the secret sauce to the whole deal. It's good to
have you with us going. We do get comfortable with
that microphone there like you do with those guys. You
don't think I was gonna waste your vocal talents today.
While you're stepping in, did you.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
I did not think I would be speaking today.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
No, you're going to be speaking. You're going to be speaking.
I'm glad to have you with it now.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
First of all, because I did several years of work
in morning drive, so I know that the kind of
toll that can take on a body.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
How are you feeling right now? You're holding up all right?
I'm holding up all right.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
I have some days where I just randomly pass out
in the middle of the day, and then there are
other days where I can just wake up about four
and then go to sleep at you know, midnight, and
I'm just fine and you're good to go. Today is
one of those days.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Yeah. See, that's because you're young. He still kind of
think it doesn't hit you like a ton of bricks.
So that's good. I'm glad to have you.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Thank you for stepping in today because you know it
was tough on Cam. Hopefully he'll be able to turn
things around. Here's what's going on that we're gonna tell
you about. Coming up with a few minutes. We're gonna
be joined by a gentleman who was on with you
guys yesterday morning, Bob Ibock and He's got a pretty
unique offer, does he not?

Speaker 2 (03:23):
It does.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
It's actually very very interesting, very incredible, and I think
you should definitely tune into the next segment if you
want to find know what it is.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Okay, all right, this is a guy I've known for
a long time when I was here doing my first
tour of duty with iHeart, even when it was called
Clear Channel Radio before it was iHeart, even when it
was something before iHeart. Clear Channel purchased it all the
way back to the Butler broadcasting days of nineteen ninety seven,

(03:53):
my first year work. In the first go around from
ninety seven through twenty sixteen, nineteen years, I had this
on several times because he deals in collectibles, and they're
very unique collectibles and they're really marketed toward specific fan bases.

(04:13):
I still have a basketball, one of the collective collective
basketballs from when the Dallas Mavericks won the NBA title
in twenty eleven. Oh wow, through Bob Eyeback and this
group Nico Sports. So we'll hear from him coming because
this will specifically appeal to long corn football fans. All right,
So there's that the Wildcard series continue today. Houston Astros

(04:38):
raise some eyebrows by virtue of their loss yesterday, as
they fell yesterday to the Detroit Tigers in game one
of that wildcards here, So they have to win the
day or the season ends. And if they do win
the day, there'll be one more game, all right now,
I can tell you it's scoreless in the bottom of
the second inning in Game two.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Will keep you updated on that one.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Also Game two, Kansas City and Baltimore playing at Oriel
Park at Camden Yards. KC won Game three. Of the
four teams on the road won yesterday. Detroit beat Astars
three to one. Kansas City beat Baltimore. On the road
won nothing. Bobby Witt Junior had the key hit at
RBI single in the sixth inning, and the Royals bullpen

(05:20):
made it stand up. The New York Mets, who spotted
Milwaukee a couple of leads, had a huge seventh inning
and came all over sixth inning and came all the
way back and won the ball game. The brewer of
the Mets beat the Brewers eight to four, so the
Mets winning in Milwaukee.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Now, last night business was usual.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
San Diego Padres, who might be the most dangerous team
in all of Baseball shot out the Atlanta Breys four
to nothing, so they were the only home team to
win yesterday, so they're up one game to none. Game
two of their series is tonight, so all of these
game twos are being played. The thing about the Wildcards
series is you have three games.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
It's the best of three series.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
If it goes three games, but they play all back
to back to back, there's no travel. It's at one
ballpark in this case, in the case of Houston, all
three games. If it gets to three, we'll be at
minu at May Park. Same thing in Baltimore, same thing
in Milwaukee, and the same thing as well in San Diego.
Then when you get to the Division series this weekend,

(06:23):
it gets to a best of five where it's two games,
the first two games at the higher seeded team, and
then it could be as many as two games at
the lower seeded team, and if there's a fifth, if
necessary game, it'd be back at the higher seeded team.
You have that, then the NLCS and the ALCS those
are best of seven series, and then of course the
World Series, which is best of seven.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
So that's how that goes. We'll keep you updated on that.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
We'll also hear from log Horn's hit football coach Steve sarkisha, Yes,
it's a bye week. Yes, his only local media availability
was on Monday, the press conference that we brought TOILL
Live and of course Hardball Mike card jed I are
down there along with Cameron Parker down there. Khalil is
running it all back here and we bring you Sark's

(07:11):
news conference every Monday morning at eleven thirty is part
of our LONGRRNE Monday presentation. We begin our coverage at
eleven and then the press conference starts at eleven thirty.
And this week, because it's an open date on the schedule,
the bye week on the schedule, it's the only local
media availability for Sark. There will be no local Thursday
zoom media availability like he normally does. However, however, Wednesday

(07:35):
is SEC teleconference day. So Sark, even on a bye week,
participated that we have some audio for that, so so
we'll bring that to you. So we've got that all right.
So those are the things there with that, and we'll
here's some more from Rodney Terry, long worn men's basketball coach.
We'll hear from him as well on what's going on
with Texas basketball. There was a media availability yesterday. We've

(07:56):
got to bring you some of the sound from that,
so we'll do that as well. So a lot to
get to. But up next, Bob Ayeback joins us and
he'll visit with us. We'll do that when we continue
here on sports Radio AM thirteen under the Zone and
where you always listen to us for free on the
iHeartRadio app.
