Kansas City continues to lead the Orioles one nothing. They
go to the fifth. A great diving play by the
second baseman Michael Massey, with runners at first and second
and went out, prevented a run from crossing the play.
He was able to get an out at first there

City as that goes to the top of the fifth.

If they win that game, the Royals will have swept
the Orioles on the road in Baltimore to move on,
just like the Detroit Tigers did this afternoon. In case
you didn't hear it, the Tigers got a three run
pinch hit double in the top of the eighth inning

in that brooke a two to two tie. They were
actually down two to one going to the eighth. Then
they had one run score on a wild pitch, and
then the double coming off Josh Hater allowed three runs
to score and the Tigers beat the Astros five to two.
Houston swept on its own field. They're done season over
season over, so right now, Danny Columbay is pitching for

the Orioles as Kansas City bats in the top of
the fifth and it's won nothing Royals as they bat
in the top half of the fifth inning. Detroit by
virtue of sweeping Houston now goes to Cleveland that starts
this week A year old. Your eyes lit up on

Series matchup. Were teams that were bad for a long
time finally have their day. I love seeing it. Yeah,
well it's happening, and the Yankees are awaiting the winner
of this. Baltimore, Kansas City is here, by the way,
in case you're won about the Yankees. Last time the
Yankees won a World Series two thousand and nine. It's

been fifteen years since the Yankees have won a series.
I remember when the Dodgers won in twenty twenty, people
said the Dodgers would allow us to know first time
in thirty two years. They had not won since nineteen
eighty eight. So obviously very very excited about that when
it did, when it did happen about that, but Baltimore
hasn't won a World Series since nineteen eighty three the
Royals won in twenty fifteen. This is their first postseason

appearance since twenty fifteen when they won the World Series.
Of course, Cleveland has not won the World Series since
nineteen forty eight, longest gap. Remember they had the three
to one lead on the Cubs in twenty sixteen and
it got away from them. Well, now they will match
up with the Detroit Tigers in a division series. Listen,
