Speaker 2 (00:00):
My name is Craig Wait.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Glad to have you with us on the program this afternoon,
and also as always, pleased to be joined by the
producer of the program, Cameron D.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Parker. The D on the birth certificate stands for Dallas.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
As in the city of Dallas, as in being named
in honor of his favorite NFL team and his father's
favorite NFL team, both of which they are significantly discussed.
At least Cameron is he's refusing to watch Where's your
Dad stand these days on the Cowboys. I mean, I
know he's probably disgusted like most Cowboy fans.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Yeah, I think he's in the same boat that I
am in terms of his Cowboy fandom not doing well
at the moment. I think if if you asked him
about the Cowboys, he would say, do you think I'm
an idiot?

Speaker 2 (00:46):
I don't do hypothetical?

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Well, he would, I'm not going to hypathetical with you.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
So we've got and Jerry Jones, by the way, he
doubled down on his statements yesterday.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
I don't know if he saw that.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
He did an interview with the Athletic Diana and he
attacked R J.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Choppy and shan Cher and again, yeah, he said, if
I have to fire those guys, don't expect to get
it from uh, you know, I'm paying those guys. Whatever
it was he said, paying, And I'm paying those guys.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
So what did he mean by that, like, by paying
those guys in terms of like because their jobs are
covering the Cowboys that in some way or is it
because because Jerry Jones doesn't own one O five through.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
The fan, I think that the autist No, no, I
think what the deal is. I think that the Cowboys
by the airtime on one oh five three the fan. Okay,
it's that way they keep all the ad inventory, that
sort of thing.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
So I think that's why.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
So part of the package planning for what he's buying
is that once a week interview.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
But he didn't like it, and he didn't likes that.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
I don't expect to get that from the other for
the guys he's paying or whatever. And so then immediately
r J Choppy was part of the deal, said well,
if that's true, then you awe us a little interest,
is what he tweeted back last night. And then apparently
d FW area media just went off on Jerry local
television writers and things saying Jerry is getting the he

(02:19):
what was I think Mike Leslie at Channel Light said
maybe you can fire them, but you can't fire all
of us.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
So, now you watched all the local news broadcasts. How
many of the sports segments showed that clip? Because I
saw at least two. It wasn't even a sports segment.
It was just covered by New Fox seven This morning
at the gym, I saw it and they were playing
that same clip.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
How many did you see from last all four? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
it was.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
It was all there. So that adds some interest to that.
But let me tell you what we have coming up.
Speaking of interest, obviously, it's a pretty big football game
in this town this week. Number one Texas, number five Georgia,
the Georgia Bulldogs will be in town, and we're gonna
visit with the play by play voice of the Bulldogs,
Scott Howard. That's coming up in a few minutes. We're

(03:06):
gonna do that. We're gonna hear from Long Warren's head
coach Steve Sarkison a couple of things I wanted you
to hear that maybe you did not get to hear
from Monday. We have that, but also today fresh Sark
sound if you will from the SEC teleconference, so we'll
have that, we have inconceivable, we have that coming up
later on this hour. So there's a lot to get to.

(03:27):
In football, the NFL trades the Wide Receiver Trades. Major
League Baseball League Championship Series play resumes in the National
League tonight as it is shifted to the Big Apple
with the Dodgers and Nets even at a game apiece,
Yankees up two games to none on the Guardians as
the series shifts to Cleveland for the next couple maybe
three games if Cleveland can win at least one. So

(03:50):
we'll get to that. So there's a lot of other
topics that we'll get to as well, and we'll certainly
be happy to take your thoughts, your questions, your comments
on our text line. All you have to do is
text the word Texas follow by your question or comment

(04:12):
to eight one five three zero. So text the word
Texas follow by your question or comment to eight one
five three zero. Standard messaging and data rates may apply. Also,
we'll talk a little NBA. I did watch some NBA
highlights stuff.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Now I did not.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
I was not home last night. I went to see
Elo Jeff Lynn's el O were getting a concert review. Yep,
I can give that to you right now. It was
really good. We enjoyed it. Bob Pickett from a ninety
eight point one FMK even our sister station was also
there last night. I saw several people whom I know

(04:52):
who are at that show last night to see Jefflins
el O. They're over and out tour. This truly is
a farewell tour for them, and sure it is, for sure,
yeah it is.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Yeah. Jeff'son his mid seventies and he said this is it.
He's done after this.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
But they put on a fabulous show last night, so
it was It was a lot of fun. Even though
if you heard of the lead man Rooney out of
Los Angeles, they opened for them and they were good too.
They were pretty good. They played for about forty five
minutes and then Jeff lindsay Elo came out around nine
ten and went to about ten thirty. It was.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Really really good. So we'll do all that.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
But today, of course, Wednesday is a yacht rock Wednesday,
so we'll be bumping back with some of your yacht
rock favorites. Don't forget tonight Longhorn Weekly with Coach Sark
coming your way from Pluckers the West Campus location. I
know we record the program on Wednesdays at six and
then it airs Thursday nights at seven o'clock. But if

(05:51):
you want to come out for the show, tonight's night
to do it. Wednesday from six to seven is when
we do it. Our special guest tonight Lifetime long Horn,
who happens to be a staff member on SARKS staff
Michael Hoff. Oh nice, Yeah, two thousand and five fourpe
Award winner. So he'll be our special guest tonight on
the program. So we had all that and more coming up.
But up next a closer look at the Georgia Bulldogs

(06:13):
as we visit with the Dogs play by play voice
Scott Howard. That's next when we continue on sports Radio
AM thirteen under the Zone and where you always listen
