Speaker 1 (00:00):
Couple of questions on the text, lin Man Cbe asking
if Sonic still offers the fifty cent corn dogs on Halloween.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
I've not seen it, CB.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
I know they had seventy nine cent slushes medium slushes available.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
On the app yesterday. Oh did you partake?

Speaker 1 (00:15):
I did not, but I should have really like a
good cherry slush or a grape slushy.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Get rid of the orange one. Unfortunately like that. Okay, So.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
The a couple of the things that we was talking
in about the Jerry Jones line. So I'd say he's
all in for three quarters, the first, the second of
the fourth.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
For some reason. I mean, I bet if you've looked
up highest scoring teams in the fourth quarter of this season,
I don't wonder there's a stab us. I bet the
Cowboys are up there because they had so many fourth
quarter comebacks for some reason.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
I gotta believe the Lions are probably in there.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Dallas is seven point six points per fourth quarter, he said,
Detroit is.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Thirtieth three point three.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Who's number one?

Speaker 3 (01:07):
Indianapolis, Chicago second, which makes sense because Chicago always has
zero points for the first like quarter and a half.
Tampa Bay third, with just over a touchdown per game.
Same for Pittsburgh, Case Seed, and Philly in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
So yeah, yeah, okay.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
But in the last three games, Dallas is about nine
points in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
You know, we were playing that SoundBite from Jerry Jones
and when they asked him about Dak running, somebody on
the Texan said, nobody on the team is running. It's
a good way to describe. He's like, nobody on the
team is running, at least not right now. Anyway, let's
hear a little more from Jerry.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
This. This again.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Came from his weekly radio drop in on one oh
five three of the Fan. He was asked, now, this,
this is kind of a loaded question. This is these
guys always do this, they ask with regard to salary. Now,
I just take a different look at things with salary

(02:17):
because it doesn't bother me or worry me or whatever
how much they're paying Dak Prescott. And I don't know,
I'm a RAMS fan out of the Cowboy, but but he
wouldn't bother me or worry me or whatever.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
What they're paying Cooper cup or or Matthew Stafford or whatever.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
You know, I understand where some folks say, well it
bothers him because then he doesn't have money to spread
it in other areas where he needs to do it.
That's that's the counter argument, and I get that. But like,
here's the question Terry was asked. Does he keep a
constant evaluation of how Dak Prescott and Cdee Lamb play

(02:55):
after paying them so much money or is he waiting
to laughter the season you imagine sitting there just like
tabulating things or whatever. So that that was a question,
and there's a follow up for Jerry out of this.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
Well, neither neither one of them. I basically was well
aware of our commitment to Lamb and well aware of
our commitment to Dak. They were really the principal reason
you saw that all in thing so much. I wanted
to make that commitment with Dak. And so to answer

(03:33):
your question, I don't look at it as matter of fact,
I'm not so sure. I look at anything as as
suc sainfetly as that game or or that situation has
given you, well the kind of return. I've always looked
at the dollars we spend in football and on the roster,

(03:59):
I've all looked at them as scholarships. And you give
one player five scholarships. If it were college monacular, you
give another player one scholarship. The more guys you can
have out there with the one scholarship, the better off

(04:19):
you are. Because of attrition. Our game is built in
that you're going to lose, and you've got to have
people behind them to play, and you can. When you
give a lot of scholarships to any one player, then
in terms of your cap, in terms of the dollars,

(04:40):
then that's much less you got to give to another player.
But we're seeing right now in some degree the system
at its best as far as the impact it can have,
and it's your depth. You've got to bring that depth forward.
And when you've used to a lot of your scholarship

(05:01):
money on several players, then that depth's got to be young.
Not necessarily not talented, but young. Young means more mistakes.
Always young means less stability to communicate out there until
they get it down. So that's where I look at it.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Do you ever get buyer's remorse?

Speaker 4 (05:23):
No, No, not at all. You know yesterday yesterday is
as dead as Napoleon. Can't get yesterday back any morning.
Go get Napoleon. It's today right now and going forward,
always going forward. Can't do one thing about that San

(05:44):
Francisco game today, now the things that impacted the San
Francisco game. If you have a chance to get better there,
which can, then that's what you should be looking at.
The other day, when we had a dust up here
on our program, A part of my my response what
to do with I'm spending if you recall I'm spending

(06:06):
looking at today, I'm looking ahead at that day that
was looking ahead at if you will San Francisco leave,
and that's where your tension has got to be spent.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
That line, that's my new favorite Jerry Jones line. Yesterday's
his dead is Napoleon. Napoleon right?

Speaker 1 (06:27):
That is awesome And like how he use his words scholarships. Yeah,
well it's a scholarships, I mean okay, moving back to
wrap up, I'm her number two on sports radio.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
I'm thirteen under the zone.
