Speaker 1 (00:08):
M hm. So we had we head down the home
stretch of this and nice on Halloween to have a
crowded house, a crowded room. So thanks to Andrews. And
we're pitching in this afternoon and then you popping back in.
That's that's an important thing camp as we get ready

(00:31):
for football and for basketball, with a conversation with Roddy
Terry coming up on The Longhorn Weekly. So we'll have
another basketball preview show and then basketball itself starts on Monday.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Fired up about that, dude, I'm so excited for Texas
basketball to come back. It was so much fun to
be on the road with you and Eddie Oh last year.
I'm excited for year two long Corn Radio Network. And
because we're not here tomorrow and we're not going to
be there Monday, the next time you'll hear from us,
Craig will be talking about Texas basketball. Yeah, we have
actual games to discuss, so and we'll probably be very

(01:09):
very very tired here.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Yeah you know, uh yeah, we're due to get back
in the we we we small hours of the morning
on Tuesday morning. Tuesday itself has the potential to be
a pretty crazy day. It is election day. Tuesday, we'll
be coming off the basketball season opener. We'll be coming
off Sarks game week press conference for the Florida game,

(01:34):
which by the way, you'll be able to hear on Monday.
Like Cam mentioned, he and I will not be on
campus for that because we'll be in Las Vegas, but
my cardball Harg will host it on Monday and he'll
be with our man andrews imil there on Monday, So
that'll that'll be going on on Monday, and then Tuesday
we're in the game week, but the basketball season will

(01:56):
be underway. So there's there's a great deal of excitement
about this about this coming season for both the Texas
men and the Texas women. I would think with the
Longhorn women preseason number four in the country, and of
course their season opener comes up a week from Sunday.
They originally were supposed to play in Las Vegas on

(02:18):
the front end of this doubleheader that is now South
Carolina and Michigan, but things changed and they wound up
not being a part of that deal. So their season
opener comes up on Sunday, November tenth, when they'll play
at home in their season opener against Southeast Man's every state.
The Longhorn season home opener, by the way, is a

(02:40):
week from tomorrow against Houston Christian at Moody Center, So
that's our home opener. But of course this Las Vegas
game is a good test for them against its Ohio
state group. It's a good way to open the season,
I think. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
With so many new faces on this team, both in
the transfer portal in as recruits, going to take a
little bit for probably RT to kind of figure out
his lineups, you know, his minute allotments. So you know,
early season basketball you always got to remind yourself, you know,
don't dive in deep into the wins and losses. It's
more about just kind of figuring out who you got.

(03:12):
I mean, there's some teams last year in the first
half of the season crag that looked awful and then
kind of like in Zaga, starting in January, they just
turn it around. Yeah, and that's how that's how you
build a deep run, is you know, finding out who
you are and then playing your best basketball a second
half of the year. So I'll be fun in the.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Less though, Yeah, yeah, I think so. And you know
Rodnie Terry has said and he'll echo it again tonight
coming up. That he is not really concerned about who
starts the basketball games, and he's always been kind of
like that. He wants his guys who give him the
best chance to win on the floor, down the stretch

(03:49):
in crunch time. Yes, you want to get off to
a good start, but he knows he's going to play
several guys and early in the seasons you pointed out Cam,
he's gonna play eight guys, nine guys, maybe ten guys
early on until he gets a real feel for what
the rotation is going to be. So it'll be interesting
to see all right. Again, we remind you stay tuned

(04:10):
for that because log Worn Weekly with Rodney Terry is
coming up this evening one hour from now, coming up
at six o'clock. So we look forward to seeing you
out there at Pluckers. If you can make it, wear
your Halloween costume as well, so we'll look forward to
seeing you out there. And again it's at six o'clock Pluckers,
the West Campus location at twenty two twenty two Rio Grant.

(04:33):
Thanks so much to Andrew Zimmel stepping in to help
us on the stretch here on this crazy Thursday afternoon
for Cameron Parker. I on Craigway, I thank you for
joining us, Cavino and Rich Fox Sports Radio coming up
for one hour prior to log worn weekly but Rodney
Terry and we visit with you next time on Sports
Radio AM thirteen under the Zone and int
