Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good afternoon, and welcome to a Friday edition of the
program here on Sports Radio AM thirteen under the Zone.
My name is Craig Way. Glad to have you with us. US,
of course, includes the producer Cameron D.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Parker.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
The D on the birth certificate stands for Dallas, as
in being named for his favorite NFL team that he
refuses to watch now out of his own measure of.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Personal disgust on that.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
So it's a different kind of a D standing going
into the weekend.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
What could the D stand for today?

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Cameron Parker want to figure out throughout the discourse of
today's show. But there's a lot happening this weekend. Texas football,
Texas basketball, the overlap begins and will be fun to
be back at DKR tomorrow for the one hundredth anniversary
of Texas Memorial Stadium as they take on a Florida
team that has shown some signs of life now most

(00:54):
likely will be without DJ Lagway, the former Texas high
school football quarterback Warner the yelled transfer. But it's a
Florida team that led Georgia by a touched on a
halftime and they were tied late in the second half.
This is not a pushover game by any means.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Took Tennessee in overtime in Knoxville, so it's not as if,
like you said that, they would be a pushover. So yeah,
I agree with you, and I know that Long Worton's
head coach Steve Sarkisian has said the same thing. So,

(01:31):
by the way, in case you're wondering, DJ Lagway is
still listed as questionable on the student athlete Availability report
for the Florida Gators. Kind of figured to be like that.
Whether whether he goes or not, he's still listed as
questionable on that. Meanwhile, the Long Worn football team has
been back at work coming off the bye week. Ready,

(01:52):
later in the program, it'll be in the four o'clock hour,
we'll hear from longwrtn's head coach, Steve Sarkisian. It'll be
from last night's airing of Long Worn Weekly. You know
the drill on this thing. We record the program on
Wednesday evenings at six o'clock at Pluckers, the West Campus
location that's at twenty two to twenty two Rio Grand,
So we record it on Wednesdays. It airs Thursday nights

(02:13):
at seven o'clock. In its entirety here on the Zone
and then on Friday we bring you an excerpt from
it where he is discussing the opponent for the weekend,
in this case the Florida Gators.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
So we'll hear that coming up at the four o'clock hour.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
We will also hear in the four o'clock hour from
Rodney Terry, long Worn men's basketball coach. This will be
his media zoom, like we bring to you Sarks press
conference and the highlights and comments from his Thursday media zom. Well,
Rodney Terry did a media zoom yesterday and we're going
to bring it to you in its entirety, complete with
the reporter's question, is there so you'll know what they're

(02:48):
asking him about. The long Oorns, of course, started off
the season on Monday night in Las Vegas. They fell
to Ohio State eighty to seventy two. Folks got a
chance to see how exciting Tray Johnson might be this
season as a freshman for the log Worns, with a
freshman debut record twenty nine points in the game, but
they were without Tremond Mark. They were also without Davon

(03:13):
Pryor in the game and both with ankle injuries. But
we'll hear Rodney Terry discussing those things and others coming up.
This being the two o'clock hour, we'll get into some
other college football, NFL football. We do have inconceivable coming up,
and we know what inconceivable means on a Friday.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Cameron Parker, it's fitting that Florida comes to town tomorrow
because we'll be traveling to the more flask to the
lower forty eight states today on inconceivable and reaching for
that low hanging through.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Yeah, the Florida man Friday.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Hey, let me tell you, the Florida men and some
Florida women are already in town. I went over to
the stadium this morning to pick up some equipment, and
they were just wandering up and down the streets, their
trinity behind the press box, shout in public, out in public,
in bright orange and blue, just being walking around, taking

(04:08):
in and all taking all of it in so that
you know that's.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Part of the deals.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
So anyway, and our coverage of course begins tomorrow morning,
bright and early or overcasting early.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Do you think they have crocodiles in their hotel bathrooms?

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Probably not.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
They may stop off from the Greater Houston around the
way back see if they pick up an extra one
or two down there in the Bayou. They might, I
don't know, but yeah, they didn't have them ounta in
public today anyway, if that were the case, And so anyway,
we'll talk to more college football. This is also a
huge high school football weekend. It's the final weekend of

(04:51):
the regular season and there are some impactful games determining
playoff spots, seeding, district championships. There was one decided last night.
We'll tell you about that. So there's all of that
as well. And then there's NBA to discuss, So we
have plenty of things to get into. And again, our

(05:13):
coverage will begin of the game tomorrow morning. As I said,
it could be overcast and early, or it could be
bright and early. The forecast, by the way, is supposed
to be good for the game. I think the highs
like seventy five, so that'll be good, but it might
be a little overcast. We might get a little more
rain in the area, and then it might be overcast
at the start when the game.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Kicks at eleven.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
But our coverage here on sports Radio AM thirteen under
the Zone will begin at eight am sharp from Bevivo
Boulevard from Look, come hang out there so our long
run game Day programming comes your way, and it'll be.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
At eight a m.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
That's when it'll start with Cameron Parker and also Mike
Hard All Hard and Mark Henry. No Mark Henry this week.
No Mark Henry this week. Thank you for the update
on that. Didn't realize that you got a big event.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
He'll yeah, he'll be traveling. I think he's out Indiana
or somewhere, but yeah, me and Harge will hold down
the fort cut of a fun show. We have assistant
Affleck director Drew Martin will be coming on. Norman Watkins
will be coming on, Eric H. Henry from Horns two
four seven, and then Graham Hall from Swap two four seven.
We'll get a run down the Gators so action pack

(06:30):
show and of course we'll always visit. We'll visit with
Craig and Roger in the booth, so it'll be fun.
It'll be a fun show, bright and early. But I'll
get my double Express, so will be good to go.
Do me a favorite.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
When you have Drew Martin on, ask him if one
of the attractions one of the features in the game
is the dude that catches marshmallows in his mouth. Come again,
Well there's this guy you know that from distance it
catches marshmallows in his mouth and apparently.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Well it's a guy.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
It's it's like can act, like the quick Change guy
or or Red Panda or whatever.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Yeah, it's an act.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
And apparently the guy was practicing inside the stadium earlier today. Yeah, yeah,
going through his reps. So you can ask him about
that if that's happening. So anyway, the pregame coverage begins
at eight am the network, it begins at ten am,
and the kickoff is at eleven am as Texas will

(07:32):
take on Florida. So there's a lot to discuss here
on the program, not just people who catch marshmallows in
their mouths. All right, coming up, we've got college football
the weekend to examine, because it's already being labeled CAM
separation Saturday, Separation Saturday. Yeah yeah, in a lot of areas,

(07:53):
not just in the SEC, although there's some huge games
in the Southeastern Conference, but in other leagues as well.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
So we'll get to that.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Like I said, we've got inconceivable this hour, we'll talk
some NFL. Did you have to watch Ravens and Begels
last night.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
A little bit was at a concert last night, but
my friends were blowing me up because of, you know,
some controversy at the end. And we'll get into that.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
Okay, all right, yeah, we'll do what concert? Did you say,
Magic Jordan? And did you like it? Yeah? Okay, good,
good show, good, all right. Coming up next, we'll get
into some college football.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
That's next when we continue on a Friday afternoon, A
fire me Up Friday for Cam Park at the producer
here on Sports Radio AM thirteen, under the Zone and
the iHeartRadio app.
