we were talking about the statement the audio where the
athletic director for the University of Utah went off and
I do mean went off on the Big twelve conference
and the officiating crew. And also part of what he

was reprimanded for was he was also seen berating an
official on the field when the game ended, and of
course that was Kevin Mars crew, and I said, you know,
it didn't really surprise me because Kevin Mars crew really

seemed to struggle at times in some games that I
witnessed with my own eyes broadcasting when Texas was playing
in those and on both sides, it's not a one
sided thing. I was awful against Texas. I'm talking on
both sides on that. And somebody said, Kevin mar and
David Alvarez's crews are the bane of my existence. Thank goodness,
we don't have to deal with those clown shows anymore.

It's funny because people have been grumbling about the SEC
officials this year to people grumble about officiating period in
the NFL. You know, if you follow a lot of
what people are saying about NFL officials, it's like every
official who works at Kansas City Chiefs game is told,

you got to take it easy there with my homes.
He's precious property. At the National Football Leagues, you have
to be careful on that. I didn't have as big
an issue on games that I can remember that David
Alvarez's crew worked, certainly, not as much as Kevin Mar's
crew and Scott Campbell. I do find it interesting that

some officials who were considered to be at best average,
slightly above average maybe in working in the Big twelve
are now working in the National Football League. There are
three or four crews I could tell you that worked
in the Big twelve and I was like this, and
now they're working in the NFL. For whatever that's worth.

See Palace Morning said, our field goals are concerned. We
don't need more, missus. I'm going to grant Burt Auburn
and Grace on. That's a fifty one yarder, a little
bit of breeze, cross breeze coming in, so you know,
I'm not going to worry so much about that. If
he's missing in the forty to forty five range, and

he has missed four field goals this year, so if
if he's missing in the forty to forty five yard range, yeah,
then I think it would be a concern because he
should be able to make those. And actually I said
he's missed four, he's missed three. He was six of
eight going into the ballgame and he missed that one.

of the misses were in the forty to forty nine
yard range. And the other one he missed was the
fifty one yard of the other day. So that's you know,
that's where that was. Okay, So there's there's something else
I want to get to. This was something that was

written by Bill Conley, college football writer for ESPN, and
he said, now it's headed down this home stretch. He
mentions there are twenty five things, twenty five things that
could happen that could decide the national title. And I

read his column pretty regularly, although I will admit to
you what drew my eyes to it was the fact
it's a big picture of Quinn you weres throwing the
football and the and the cut line underneath the photo
said as if Quinn Ewers continues to produce like he
did against Florida, Texas could be the favorite to win
the national title. But here, with regard to what can

impact the national championship race, number twenty five quite simply
is the game Tennessee at Georgia this week. He said,
I'm really curious how far the College Football Committee drops
Georgia this week following the Bulldog's loss to Ole miss
The Committee tends to use head to head results as
tiebreakers if two teams that played each other are anywhere
(05:32):
close in the standings, and if Georgia, which was third
last week, were to fall to the eight to eleven range,
that would put the Dogs close to both Alabama and
Ole Miss, two teams that beat them. That might drop
George even farther far enough that loss to Tennessee might
knock the Dogs out of serious playoff consideration. Altogether, he's
(05:52):
got Indiana and Ohio State on November twenty third. Is
that is element number twenty four. His other things include
five potential upsets Notre Dame versus Army. If Army were
to win Penn State at Minnesota also on that same day,

on the twenty third. That's the same day, by the way,
as the Ohio State Indiana game. Notre Dame at USC
on November thirtieth. I guess that's from the Notre Dame perspective.
Tennessee at Vanderbilt on November thirtieth. And then number nineteen
on the list is Texas at Texas A and M.
He said, Texas A and M is still harboring playoff

hopes of its own, even if we tends to moralizing.
Loss at South Carolina knocked the Aggies back a bit.
The Aggies will be projected favors obviously against New Mexico
State at Auburn and could be facing when and you're
in stakes when Texas comes to town. The Long Words
look fantastic Saturday, albeit against the massively banged of Florida team,
and they might still need this one the clinch a

spot in the SEC Championship game, big stakes for the
return of a big rivalry. And then it's got five
units that could ruin everything. And it says Texas has
the highest national title odds at this point, even if
the Long Wruns have about a one and six chance
according to their playoff predictor the major reason they lead

that way, they seem to have the fewest standout weaknesses.
A few of the other major contenders don't appear to
be quite so lucky. From eighteen to sixteen Alabama's Ohio
States and Penn State's third and long offenses. He says, true,
almost no one is actually good on third and long,
but those are less of that number. Fifteen would be

Oregon's run defense. They rank thirty second in rushing success
rate allowed on forty seventh in yards per kerry with
no sacks, but among the ten primary title contenders. Teams
are more likely to run the ball well on Oregon
than on anyone else. George's passing game is number fourteen.
On that, then he's got three spoilers. Bryce and Daily,

the Army quarterback in teen number twelve, asked in Genti

with ten sacks against Florida on Saturday, however, he was

five scores, one sack, nine completions of twenty plus yards,
and he spread the ball around to a number of
exciting receivers too. The Horns overwhelmed the Gators with pure options,
and yours was as good as he's been all year.
If that continues, ut is the title favorite. Number six,
he lives Carson Beck Georgia with his shaky of lately

Drew Aller, the Penn State quarterback, Number three, Will Howard

some thoughts on what might or have happened. All of
this does for me is show how unsettled everything is.
And I don't know that you. I don't know that

you can say one is a clear favorite twin the
national title, if only because they're still head to head
games to come. If you say Oregon, you say okay.
So they'll beat Ohio State again in a rematch in
the Big Ten championship game in Indianapolis on a neutral
field when they barely beat him at home? Is that
what you're saying. If you say Ohio State, Okay, they've
already lost to Oregon. Yeah they play them at a
(09:48):
neutral site, but are sure about that. If you say Texas,
then you cite their closing schedule and having a deal
with going to college station. If you talk about Alabama
on the rise, yes they are, and they played they
looked really good against LSU on Saturday. But they actually
have almost i'm gonna say almost, not completely, but almost
(10:10):
zero margin for error involved in this. So there's lots
of George and Ole miss are in the same category
with that, So there's still a lot yet to be decided.
