Rolling on through a Thursday afternoon, and I wanted to
give you the rundown on high school football playoff action.
That a story off tonight, primarily in the Greater Austin
and Central Texas. There there's a couple of pretty interesting
matchups on the statewide which normally you don't get when

you have a sixty fourteen bracket. In every division except
the two divisions of one A, which is six man,
they have a thirty two team bracket. So normally most
of the ones are rather lopsided in nature. For example,
in Region one, that the computer likes certain teams to

win by I'm looking at twenty five points, eighteen points,
twenty four, fifteen, thirty seven in the case of the
number one team in the state, Duncanville against Temple twenty four,
twelve twelve, twenty thirty eight, forty three, you know, thirty eight.
Stuff like that. There are a few that will be
interesting to watch. For example, and I cannot remember the

last time an El Paso school was favored against Odessa Permian,
and yet El Paso East Lake, which is is playing
at home against Odessa Permian playing at the Sikoro ISD
Stadium is tonight. And by the way, some of our
friends from the Greater Austin chapter are actually officiating that

game as well. But anyway, a couple of the more
interesting first round matchups might be in Region one, Allen
against Lewisville. I mentioned Nconville's playing at Temple or playing
Temple at home. In Region two, they're expected to handle
that one pretty easily. There. In Region three in the
Greater Houston area, it should be pretty easy walks for

North Shore and Katie. And then you get to Region
four in the Greater Austin Central Texas area, round Rock
is playing like Travis. Round Rock is the Acts will
host that game because they are the top seed from
the Division one bracket out of twenty five to six
A and the number two seed would be Vista Ridge

and round Rock as a higher sea than Lake Travis
the number two seed th D one bracket out of
District twenty six behind Westlake. Therefore, round Rock gets to host.
But they're not playing it at Dragon Stadium. They the
way they did a few years ago when they upset
Lake Travis. They're playing this game at Kelly Reeves Athletics Complex.
All the computer likes Lake Travis to win it by
twenty seven points. Westlake playing at home against Vista Ridge,

of the Trees tomorrow night at Gupton Stadium, Cedar Park

This is a byproduct, by the way of what happens
when you have before the start of the season, the
classification is already broken down into districts or into in divisions.

through the six man Classification one A, but in six
A they wait until you get the four playoff teams
determined out of each district, and then the two highest
enrollments go in the Division one bracket and the two
lower enrollments go in the Vision two bracket. So that's

why there's more travel involved in the postseason. In the
early rounds, so Rouse has to go to Highland Park
and Island Park is, according to the computer, favored by

Bernard are both in Region one, and LBJ and Travis

what that mathematically means. It is mathematically possible for two
Greater Austin area teams to play for a state championship

So in other words, it would be mathematically possible for
Lampassas to play LBJ for a state championship. Just saying
that's the math. We know what the likelihoods are, but
that's what the math is. In that in Division two,
Wimberley expected to pound Piersol. They are picked to win

that one by sixty two points. Wimberley is playing that
game at Alamo Stadium at the Rock Pile as they
played Pearsol in that contest. Divine a one point pick
over Soledo. Lago Vista favored to beat Bandera by seven points,
and that game is being played in San Marcus at

selections there, and then on to three A. The three
A picks include in region for Atlanto is a four
point pick to beat Crystal City by the computer in
