Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good afternoon, Welcome to the program here on Sports Radio A.
I'm thirteen under the Zone. My name is Craig Why
I do. Thank you very much for joining us. US,
of course, includes the producer Cameron D.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Parker.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
The d on the birth certificate stands for Dallas as
in his favorite NFL team that he actually did did
break his val and watch a little bit of them
in the right at the right proper moment with the
crazy ending to the game with Washington on Sunday, But
he picked a good time to watch them.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Are you going back to your Wait a minute, well,
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
If it will matter to you the mere fact that
they're playing on Thanksgiving Day or whatever about whether you'll
even decide to watch them against the feckless New York
Giants on Thursday.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
There is not a chance in the world I will
watch the game on Thursday.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
Really.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
Oh, and there's no way Tommy Cutlets against Cooper Rush.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Okay, I mean I got a shot to win.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
Hey, somebody pointed out what all the rest of their
games are against teams with losing records?
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Is that right?
Speaker 1 (01:06):
Or their next five? I guess it is whatever it
is winnable games. Maybe they get put themselves back in.
I was just there going no way, no way, boy
we go. I'm just I'm just telling you.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
You know, you know you mentioned the losing record part.
You know who else has a losing record The Cowboys
because they suck, okay, stink, bad football team.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
When you lose to a bad football team, it engenders
all manner of questions about your own team. Two teams
come to mind with that based on their performance of
the past weekend. One would be the Washington Commanders, who
somehow at home after having this big winning streak, let
the Cowboys beat them, and they shot themselves on the
(01:54):
foot by.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
Having their foot.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Austin Seibert missed two extra points in field go in
the game, but they lost that game. So there's all
kinds of questions today I was hearing about about, you know,
whether they've done irreparable damage they're trying to make the
playoffs and all that stuff.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
I don't think so. I think they're still in the
playoff one.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
The other team in that situation is in a much
more difficult situation. The Alabama Crimson tied because now they've
lost three games and.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
One was to vant.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Vanderbilt is not a bad football team, as we know,
and they're going to be in a bowl game. But
the other was to Oklahoma, who only won one SEC
game to that point, and that is apparently what is
going to do a reparable damage to the Crimson Tides
hopes of reaching the college football Playoff when the final
(02:49):
announcement of the College Football Playoff rankings are released on Sunday,
December eighth, But the ones that come out tonight, the
updated addition, are expected to drop Alabama into a late
fall Dakota temperature range low teens is what I'm hearing,
(03:16):
and so the question is how low will they go?
So they're in trouble forgetting it. And again that's losing
to bad football teams. For all the grief that a
lot of folks wanted to heap on the long words
for their schedule, which they had never control over, the
bottom is the long worst. Don't have any bad losses,
have one loss to a good team Georgia who has
(03:38):
already qualified for the SEC Championship, and they're trying.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
Texas is trying to get there.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
They're gonna have to beat Texas A and M on
Saturday Night College station to do that. Coming up Toward
that end, we're going to visit with Andrew Monica, play
by play voice of the Fight in Texas Aggie. So
Andrew Monico will join us. Coming up in a few minutes.
We do have inconceivable this hour coming up next hour,
(04:04):
I have a variety of things. We'll talk some basketball.
We'll hear from Vic Chafer, We'll Texas women's coach. We
hear from a couple of long worn players. We'll lot
some more football. We'll hear from Matthew Golden. There's a lot.
But also next hour, Greg Tapper, managing editor of Dave
Campbell's Texas Football Magazine, will join us for our weekly
look at both college and high school football across the
(04:25):
state of Texas. They're to the Sweet sixteen round of
the Texas High School football playoffs. Down we are one
week away from a possible rematch of West Lake and
Lake Travis in the state quarterfinals.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Could happen.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
We are one week away from the possibility of Wimberley
against Lago Vista in a state quarterfront. Now, Lago has
got a huge task. They're playing a really good Sentin
team this week, but it's possible. So anyway, there's other
area teams that still have a shot. In addition those
(04:59):
two Grange they have a tough battle with Shiner this week.
Lampassas is still very much in the fight. Mason is
playing Marlin this week. Anyway, We'll talk about all that
stuff with Greg Tepper coming up in the three o'clock
hour as well. So we've got all of those things
and a lot more to go. But up next we
(05:19):
visit with Andrew Monico, play by play voice of the
Texas a and m Aggie's here on a Tuesday edition
of the program here on sports Radio AM thirteen under
the zone of the iHeartRadio app.
