Cowboys LB and former Longhorn DeMarvion Overshown suffers season-ending injury

Former Texas Longhorn and current Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown suffered a season-ending knee injury during the loss to Cincy. Hear Jerry Jones' comments on D-Mo's injury and his expected timetable for a return.

Was talking about this morning on his weekly interview on
one five three the Fan. He was talking about that
he's satisfied with the team's attention to detail. So then
he was asked, is he comfortable with the play calling
and in specific the play calling down the stretch of
the game.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Yeah, we were running out of time and even second
guess that as well. We'll always be second guessing the
last part of that game. But the key influence in
that game was how effective their quarterback is and how
accurate he is and how well they execute the passing game,

(00:48):
and it was we had some great defensive stands during
that ball game and really played well. My hat's all
to the way our defense to play hold him to
twenty points and get it down to that at that
juncture of the game. Now, they made twenty steven obviously,
but were for practical purposes. The game was at twenty

to be in that spot, and we had real risk
as to whether or not if we would have gotten
that ball on that end of the field, we could have
made the first down required to get us at a
field goal. Rage sure risk, more risk than we actually
took kind of box to get okay.

Then he was asked for an update, you know, just
to was hated to see Demarvey and overshown be injured
again last night.

I do he'll need surgery on his right knee, and
we're doing the m or right this morning, but we
know that it will require surgery.

Do you have do you have any indication on whether
he'll be ready for next year or we looking at
twenty six.

I don't know at this time the time date on
his rehab, but it is I feel. I just can't
tell you how bad I feel for him because he's
just been true that that that weal the mental and

the physical rehab on his other knee. To turn around
and have to go through that again, it's gonna call
on it in a lot of ways, and uh uh,
it's the toughest time for a player, and you we
all see the loss and what it's going to mean
for us in our remaining four games. But the bottom

line is that it's really sad that he's having to
have this surgery for him as an individual and obviously
us as a team.
