the history of the National Football League, there was a discussion we had that

in their fifties and sixties can rememberOJ. There are people to Levak's age,
closer to your mid forties that youjust laid out the mid nineties,
that he has what's been called anAmerican history, the crime of the century,

O. J. Simpson. Therewas probably a time he was the most

all this started, didn't want nothingto do with me anymore because I was

Just didn't really care what color youwere, just wanted to have fun,
wanted to talk smack and have agood time. All of a sudden,
you couldn't couldn't ignore it. Youhad to talk about race. You
had to. You had to betreated different based on what call you were

that than anything else someone view thatthat discussion. You're talking about a phrase
that was used over the course ofthe last four to five years. People
use the phrase nationally as an awakeningis the term. You might have heard
that when racism was talked about inthe United States of America, that White
America didn't realize oh, while BlackAmerica said, see like, oh,

you mean someone can potentially be foundnot guilty because of race and White America
and Black America's like, oh wow, there's a sketch. And I know
it's not about OJ, but there'sa Saturday Night Live sketch that did something
to this effect. Dave Chappelle's thehost in twenty sixteen when an election season's
going on about the results of twentysixteen, and all of a sudden,

it's a whole racial thing about theelection, and it's about OJ, and
it's about George Flake. All thosethings have been a course of the American
history of the last thirty years.And he talked about the race out of
it where some of that impact hascome to twenty twenty four, whether it
be political, whether it be throughthrough media, whether it be through sports.

Yeah, Like the end result inthat case has had an impact decades
plus from what is announced to thecourtroom. And listen, I know there's
there's probably somebody out there who's thinkingthe and listen. I've thought it,
like how many people went to jailbecause they were black? You know,

Can't it be a guy who cheatedon his taxes, not a guy who

you know, I never felt comfortabletalking to you about race before that.
Well, yeah, I was,you know, sixteen seventeen years old.
I mean, how deep is thatconversation gonna get a sixteen seventeen years old?
But like that was. I justremember I never walked into a room
and went, oh, there's alot of black guys in this room before
that, because I would walk intothat room then I'd be like, what's

the seventies, eighties and early nineties. Well, he's on a pestle.

I'll tell you that God's last truth. People that I'm good friends with,
we respect each other, you know, despite our differences. I will
never have a conversation about Jayceepson withthem because they have legitimately tried to convince

me that, hey, he wasfound innocent, and it's like to stop,
you know what I mean, Ican't like he's just at that point
where it's like, yeah, buthe was also found guilty. I mean,
you know, civil you know,so it's financially punished instead of you're
losing his freedom. But it's butit's just the one of those ones where
I was raising a time where youdidn't talk about politics too much publicly.

like them at all. And theystayed away from them. But if you
