(00:00):
It's Lovak and guys on ninety fivenine Fox Sports Radio. It was kind
of what, oh, very upsetabout the loss. I can tell you
that right now. It's kind ofwhat we expected when we when we sat
down, we talked about last night'sgame for the Knicks and seventy six Ers,

(00:24):
and uh, I just I'm kindof bummed about it. Saw it
coming. Expected a physical game, borderline dirty, I would say, from
the seventy six ers. Uh,Tipo's picked off just like the rest of
us. But guys like, ifI'm the Knicks to it, I think
I bounce back and I punched youright in the throat. If you're the

(00:44):
seventy six Ers, hmm, Iwant to make sure I understand what you
mean by that. I think Iknow what you mean by that. You
mean that this should have been biggerand knockout blow. We set the tone
for the series. This is thepunch that delivers that these are the only
games the nick are gonn win.Right, that's what you mean by the
knockout blow? No? No,I mean like I mean like the seventy

(01:06):
six Yers were so physically aggressive thatif I'm the Knicks, I'm coming to
this next game, and I'm wearingbrass knuckles. That's what I mean.
That's why I clarified, because Iknow you well enough, and I'm like,
he actually might physically literally mean anactual fight they want to get into,
because Yeah, I can't believe wewaited this long to talk about this,

(01:26):
because that was about as dirty asit gets last night. Besides physically
doing what you're talking about, cockingback and unloading a Haymaker sucker punching somebody
having a seven footer on the floor, grab it another seven footers lower body.
Now the body part that's been grabbeddepending on what ankle you get.

(01:49):
Some of said foot, some ofhave said ankle, some have said calf.
The way I've described it in myhead is the Boston Crab was going
right there, the model Rick Martell'sfinishing the old WWF wrestler. There's the
model locket in the Boston Crab.Embiid wanted to take down Mitchell Robinson,
and the issue with that play ofwhy it was so dirty, why he

(02:10):
should be suspended, why all ofa sudden replay didn't work and we couldn't
give him a flagrant too and tosshim out of the game the officials.
Simple and easy is this? Tellme what basketball play Joe Allen Beiid was
trying to make there? That's it. Like if you're going for a loose
ball and you elbow somebody in theeye, Okay, that could happen.

(02:30):
If you're going up for a reboundand again you elbow somebody, you hit
him in the chest, you throwa punch like you're going the bat.
There's a ton of basketball plays wherea big blow can be delivered. Just
show me that replay and tell mewhat basketball play was being attempted by Joe
Embiid that he should still stay inthe game and not be suspended because it
didn't happen. That changed everything. He has a great game, he talks

(02:54):
about all this stuff medically going onwith him in the post game. But
if he is ejected in that game, then Nicks are up three to oh,
simple and easy as that, andbe made a dirty play, didn't
get punished, and it cost thema three to oero series in this lead.
Yeah it was. And again he'sstill embeed, like, I think
the fifty points probably happened regardless, but it was. It was just it

(03:15):
was obvious they they they came fora fight. They came to be physically
dominant. They were embarrassed up tothis point. And they you know,
they were in their fields and theywere ready to they were ready to hurt
people if that's what it took.Get that w as everything goes on and
uh and and we are so Idon't know why you're there. No,

(03:36):
you're good, man, you're good. You're over here. It's crazy.
I'm having a crazy day. Butit's just one of those deals where they
knew they wanted to fight. Theyknew they had to bring everything they knew
backs against the wall. And Idon't think the Knicks were like soft,
But at the same time, Ithink they were like, well, we
came to play basketball. We didn'twe didn't come for a street fight,

(03:59):
and you know, maybe maybe, just maybe they'd be ready for you gotta
do it. Wrestling serves right aPhiladelphia street fight in games four, because
that's they just they got out physicalby a lot and sometimes way too far
as you put it. You knowas well, show me show me the
basketball player there, show me tellme tell me when you look at that
what you would do on a littletight two that wouldn't get you thrown out

(04:23):
of the house, and maybe frontof jail, the house of hardcore deliver
it, take out the star playerto make sure he's not playing. This
one's usually my go to in theNBA when an injury occurs, or a
suspension or a dirty play happens thatchange the complete series. There might be
one that's more recent than this, but the one I always think about is
the Spurs and the Suns in themid two thousands where Steve Nash gets almost

(04:46):
hockey checked into the scorers table anda Mary Stottamayer comes off the bench to
protect Steve Nash and they suspend aMary Stottameier and it costs the Suns of
the series. Where a dirty playhappens, a non basketball play happ up,
and the ramifications of what happened afterthat changed everything in the series.
There was one. There was anotherone recently about Draymon involving the Warriors that

(05:08):
I can recall too that Draymond mayor may not be assessed the technical in
the postseason and we should have clearlybeen assessed the technical and if he had,
he would have been suspended. Thatmight have happened actually in the twenty
sixteen NBA Finals. Someone can doublecheck me on that if Draymond missed the
game and that helped the Cavalier comeback that down three to one. As
of right now, those series I'vetalked about, the twenty sixteen NBA Finals

(05:32):
and that Western Conference Classic matchup betweenthe Suns and the Spurs is not on
the same level here of an openinground match between the Sixers and the Knicks,
but it is big time players involvedthat if for whatever reason, the
Knicks do blow this series and theydon't come back and win, that play
in particular is going to be lookedat same for em Beat, like how
we viewed Joellenbiid as a career.MVP missed double the amount of games to

(05:57):
start his careers Greg Odin, butthe Sixers kept giving him opportunity after opportunity,
to the point that trust the processwas given and be the nickname of
the process. I never really wantedto consider and Beat a dirty player,
because that can be true. Therecould be guys who are clean players who
make dirty plays. That's what I'mhoping was last night, because I don't
view him as a dirty player, but there should be more ramifications of how

(06:19):
that went down last night. Yeah, and let me ask you what the
ramifications are? Does that change yourmind at all? Like, I know
you thought this was what did yousay? Six? I think you predicted
this for the Nicks? Seven?Seven, seven? You hit seven?
All right? Does it change thatfor you in any way? Is it?
Is it now? The seventy sixeris gonna win the series? Because

(06:40):
how physical they were last night atfive o'clock on a Friday. No,
could it five twenty or five fortyor six or seven. Here's why I
bring that up because there's a chancein bead gets suspended, there's a chance
by the time they tip off thenext time, in beads out of the

(07:00):
game, there's a chance that maybeMitchell Robinson suffered more of an injury than
we realize. A lot can changebetween now when you and I are talking
in Game four. So the impacton the series. Do I still have
the Nickson seven? I'll say yesto that, But if some huge thing
happens between now and tip off,I'll be allowed to change my answer.

(07:21):
I mean, you can change youranswer, but I think, like what's
what's what's huge is gonna happen betweennow and that? I mean and be
playing well, all right, ButI mean that's like, you don't think
he's gonna get suspended. I cantell you you're like, if they wanted
suspended, they would have done itas soon as possible, earlier this afternoon,
and not to mention he's all right. So let's say the suspension comes

(07:43):
down, he he he'll uh,he'll appeal it. He'll still get to
play. He's still gonna he'll getto play this one at least. So
I don't I don't think he getssuspended. I think he'll be There'll be
a big fine and something because listen, who wants who wants to see the
seventy six ers in the postseason withoutJoe beat I mean me because I'm a
Knicks fan. But realistically speaking, the league is not going to kick him

(08:05):
out nless. They absolutely have to, because they should, he should be
suspended, but even that, he'sgoing to be out there. So I
think I still feel like Nicks Isaid Nixon five originally maybe six, just
because that was so aggressive and maybethey didn't try to do it again.
Think about honestly, if I'm theKnicks, I call the Rangers and I
go, where's Matt Repie. Iwant him. I want to borrow over

(08:26):
a game before our guy Jamal who'sthe biggest Knicks fan. We know our
guy Joe g b On Twitter,I saw the stats, so let me
I know, might take about twominutes ago. Is that I don't consider
Joel and Beat a dirty player. And maybe I'm lean towards that because he
is comical on social media. Hedoes show off a personality. He doesn't
seem to have a mean spirit whenit comes to addressing the media. The

(08:48):
stat has been posted a by NewYork Basketball on Twitter at NBA Underscore New
York that people who say Joel andb doesn't play dirty, Hey, that's
me. I just said that.Well, and Beid has more career flagrant
fouls twenty three than the entire NewYork Knicks rotation this postseason. And Joel
Embiid has more flagrant fowls than DraymondGreen in his career, by the way,

(09:13):
and Beads played five hundred less gamesthan Draymond Green. Okay, so
maybe the stats don't necessarily work inmy favorite with my e Bead's not a
dirty player, it but you knowwhat, I almost look at that the
same way Cam Newton sacks, right, so Cam Newton gets sacked, and
even Ben Roethlisberger before he became thecry baby, where they're so big,

(09:37):
they're so physical that they don't getthe roughing the passer call as much as
they should. Joel Embiid is sobig, he's so physical, and granted
he is a dirty player. I'msorry, but he's so big and so
physical. Every call goes against himlike it's almost like, all right,
you be nice to your little brother. That's stop it. It's so well,
I'm not doing anything he's not doingYeah, but he's little that you

(09:58):
stop it. The big man bias. I totally get it, guys going
to the rim. The Cam newcomparisons very good. How many roughing the
passers did he get when he wouldno, no, Josh Allen's in that
mix to somewhere. Oh, Icouldn't tell if he was sliding or running
in bounce or out of bounce orgonna run this dude over. That would
be the biggest impact of the series. If there is one positive takeaway for

(10:18):
everything for Knicks fans and you andI thought about this as a top headline
and storyline going into Game three.Brunton was better. Brunton was a lot
better. I don't know if hewas, you know, like I don't
think it was Patrick Ewing body straight, he was better. You know,
I don't get Brunton is a smallbut you get what I mean. Like
he was not as bad as hewas in game one and game two as
he was game three. I mean, yeah, I agree, it was

(10:41):
good to see him. And againI almost that almost makes me feel worse
though, you know what I mean, because now he's playing well and you
still you still end up losing.I don't need that. I need him
to play well and the Knicks towin the thing. But again, it
was just such a it was it. It was a street fight. It
was not it was not a basketballgame. The nick shouldn't play basketball.
Seventy six Ers are like, nowwe're just gonna go ahead and punch you

(11:03):
in the mouth and see what happens. And there it is. And I
know seventy six Ers fans are gonnabe like, you're crying because your team
wants I'm not crying. I justI hope to God that you know,
Precious to Chua and the other topand everybody in this next game, go
out there and go, you knowwhat, I got five fouls to give.
Let's have some fun. You wantthat Philadelphia street fight and the old

(11:26):
ECW arena. You want our guyMike Falvo doing some Pa Joey style.
There's a lot of wrestling references inthis one. Philly, your home of
WrestleMania this past year. If youdo get into a street fight, if
this is a poorly officiated game inGame four, I would not give the
advantage to the Knicks in that game. I think if it's gonna get dirty,

(11:48):
it's gonna be the home team whogets less whistles on them. And
that Game four, of course,is in Philly. Yeah. I don't
know, though, because I justI look at the next team that's played
tough defense all year, and Imean anybody who plays tough defense. You
know how. There's a very thinline between tough defense and physical play.

(12:09):
So I don't go against the NewYork Knicks and a street fight, my
friend, I wouldn't. That's it. Don't go against the land dispute with
a Spaniard and uh and never neverI'll go against the Knicks when it could
be a street fight. Never fallin love with the Jersey Shore is what
I've learned. Well, that's alife reference. The wind. Where did

(12:31):
you uh, where did you proposeagain? Wildwood, New Jersey. Hmm,
interesting, interesting, Just gonna hangthat one out there. That's an
interesting thing that just happened right there. But what you do need to do
is playing for your financial future. How do you get from where you are
to where you need to be?You call five one eight two zero three

works with people who have about twohundred and fifty thousand dollars ready to invest
and move forward with How do yougo from a quarter to a full mill?
You're gonna have to have a goodplan, my friend. Nothing is
guaranteed in the world of investment. It's just it's just not You can't.

(13:15):
But I can guarantee you that ifyou don't have a plan, you're far
more likely to lose your money ornot grow it than you would be if
you had a good plan. DrewPrescott sits down with you. He's the
whole team, he's the dude,he's the one who's got your back and
he helps you came up with thatplan that you move forward with, and
he's there for you if you needto adjust the plan. Prescott pw dot

(13:37):
of Drew Prescott two day. Let'skind of talk about what's coming up this
weekend and maybe a little little FireWolves. Yeah. Doug Jamison, one of
the veterans, one of the leadersof this team, talks about how important
this Sunday matchup is, what wecan expect and sign MVPNA Arena and more.
Doug Jamison, Albny FireWolves own nextDarrel lavackan guys on five Sports ninety

(14:01):
nine eighty Voice of the Capitol Regionssports fan, Fox Sports ninety five,
nine and nine eighty. You've heardthis guy talked about a bunch throughout the
Albiting fire Wolf season, and nowwe get the playoff stretch. The playoffs
are officially here Sunday inside MVP Arena. Doug Jamison joining us here on the

(14:22):
phone lines Fox Sports ninety five nineand nine eighty. Leveak guys, Doug.
Before we talk about the playoff gamemore, Let's look back in the
season, man, like this isa playoff team as you've seen this team
grow throughout the season. What hasimpressed you the most about your teammates from
Game one of the season as youguys get ready for this upcoming weekend,

(14:43):
I think just how the young guyskind of came in and really took hold
on U on the season. Andyeah, it was really impressive. You
know, Alex Simmons, Ty Kurtz, some of the defensive players too,
just came in and kind of didtheir thing and really propelled us to start
the season. Got this rolling forsure, not just in the successful season

(15:03):
for you and your teammates, butindividually. Three thousand saves. What was
that milestone like for you to hitearlier this month. Yeah, it's always
cool to see numbers like that.Yeah, they kind of add up pretty
quickly. So yeah, that wasawesome. You know a lot of people,
oh not congratulated me, So thatwas that was definitely a cool moment

(15:26):
for me. Last time we hadyou on this show, we were talking
about on a dog at community collegeocc or grind from the central New York
area all the way to the professionallevel. For those who might have missed
that conversation, we got to bringit back. When you were playing at
OCC Was it ever the thought of, you know what, years from now,
I might have an opportunity to dothis professionally. Yeah, I kind

(15:48):
of knew then. I kind ofhad a feeling and it was things were
kind of looking that way, Soyeah, I was. I was kind
of aware of that. I obviouslyyou never know how successfully you're going to
be year, how things are goingto pan out. So things have been
pretty good so far. Hopefully Ican keep it going for a few more
years. In Albany al many firewalls. This weekend, it's the playoffs inside

(16:11):
ENVP Arena. And one of thebig reasons why this seems the playoff team
this season is the guy on thephone lines with us right now, the
elevation ten thousand phone lines elevate yourbrand today with elevation ten thousand, that's
Doug Jamison joining us. Doug, now that you're like the veteran of the
squad, you know what's going on. Have you offered any of your teammates
advice on how to prepare for thispostseason game on Sunday? I haven't really

(16:34):
think. I'm still kind of figuringit out myself, you know. I
think coming into playoffs, you definitelyget a different feeling and you kind of
realize how how crucial things can bebecause this first round is one game,
and hopefully if we can get bythat, we're, you know, a
couple of games away from an NLfinal. So not trying not to look
too far ahead, but keeping everythingin perspective. You know, you don't,

(16:57):
like, you're not guaranteed playoff birthevery year, So just being being
in the zot, like in themoment kind of and definitely not taking it
for granted. As you scot outthis weekend's opponent, get ready for it,
get ready to take the turf more. What stands out to you as
you get ready to prep for thatSunday matchup against your opponent. Halifax is

(17:19):
a team I know pretty well.A lot of the of their players I
actually play summer lacrosse with. We'reteammates for the Six Nations Chiefs, so
there's a lot of familiar larity there. They're are really good. Their offense
is pretty stacked names wise, soI think if we can limit their offense

(17:41):
and hopefully score some goals, willbe will be in good shape. The
blackout for the crowd. By theway, fans are encouraged to wear black
whatever it is, whether it's thatsweatshirt, the T shirt, the jack
to make sure that blackout feel isrocketed. MVP arena, so many players
get so a hype when you havethat home crowd, home turf, home
field advantage. For you in particular, I feel like you even feel it

(18:03):
more than anybody else because you getto have that full picture everything. What's
it like when you see that homecrowd getting behind you, guys, especially
in a big game like this,It's pretty cool. I'm seeing how it's
grown the last couple of years andjust throughout the season, even you know,
as we kind of gain momentum, and You're right, I can kind
of see the whole floor and seethat kind of a bigger picture. So

(18:25):
I get to see a lot ofthe crowd, and they like the dougie
chance going when I make a save, So I think it definitely makes a
difference, even subconsciously, you know, they kind of pumps you up.
So I'm pumped to see how itlooks Sunday. I think I'm hoping a
big crowd and I got some friendsand family come in, so I'm excited
for that now. I know theNFL Draft is going on. It was

(18:48):
going on today, tomorrow. Yesterdayat alb FireWolves. On Twitter, there's
the picture of a big ninety fourfrom Assumption saying there's a dual threat defensive
tackle. Can we clear up therumors? Who is that a photo of?
That is me playing playing football inhigh school? Some people by no

(19:08):
Assumption as a Division two college program. I will fully admit again, alb
Firewals, that does not look likea high school football player. Was there
ever an opportunity for you to pursuethe college ranks looking like that inside a
helmet? Yeah, Canadian? Ihad some looks, Canadian, Canadian University
looks. My high school team wasactually pretty successfully won the offsite championships,

(19:33):
which is like the I guess thestate would be the States kind of thing.
So yeah, that was an avenue. But lacrosse has been my number
one for pretty much my whole life, so all right, So there you
go. The Chicago Bears, theNew York Giants. Doug Jamison is taken,
all right, even though the photolooks great on social media. The
man is doing his thing this weekendinside MVP R read again the Albany Firewals

(19:56):
three o'clock face off is said Halifanksis the opponent. Before let you go.
Thank you so much. We knowyou're busy. One more question before
you go, though, tell theCapital region, the sports fans here in
the five, one, eight andmore, why they got to come out
this weekend and support you guys ofwhat they can expect when you guys hit
the turf on Sunday. Yeah,we'd love to have you have everyone out.

(20:17):
Like I said, it makes adifference here in the crowd and here
in you know, here in thecheers, and I think everybody's in for
a great game. You know, either way it shakes out, should be
a competitive, close game. SoI'm looking forward to it and I can't
wait to see everyone out. Sowe appreciate the time. Man. Best
of luck this Sunday. I hopewe were talking agains soon as this playoff
push continues, And good luck thisweekend man, Thanks for taking some time

(20:40):
with us on a big playoff weekfor you and your teammates. Thanks take
care there he goes our guy DougJamison again. The Albany FireWolves in action
this week at MVP Arena taking onHali. Thanks three o'clock making a part
of your local weekend. We wantto talk more local coming up here.
We've got such a great twenty twentyfour weekend here locally, you could argue
this is gonna be the best localsports weekend on the entire twenty twenty four

(21:03):
calendar. We'll talk more about that. Lavak's gonna reconnect with us live from
MVP Arena. He'll talk about thingsyou'd expect this weekend and more. It's
all on the way next to weclosed out this Friday edition of Leavack and
Guys on Fox Sports ninety nine eightyUS on ninety five to nine Fox Sports
Radio. Ah all right, man, So I you know, listen,

(21:25):
I love doing the show with youguys, but I have I gotta be
honest with you. I'm excited thatit's over because now it's just straight just
downhill into the kickoff of the season, and uh hopefully it's gonna be the
the Tom Goslowski, the third AndrewSantillo coming out party. That's what we're
that's what we're gonna call it.It's no longer it's no longer the kickoff
of the New Firebers. It's it'sit's Tommy gets Discovered day. No,

(21:49):
I don't think that's what this weekend, oh the thank you. No,
I think it's a thing. Idon't know what's gonna happen this weekend.
I know we're gonna have fun.I know fire Birds are gonna pack the
It is a great weekend. Onemore time Capitol Region sports. We are
so fortunate here locally to have apacked weekend like this that we haven't had

(22:10):
in a very long time. Wheretonight Albany Patroons, if you go to
their game Saturday night, you goto the Albany Firebirds. We've been talking
about it. We've been doing thelive coverage and more Sunday the Albany fire
Wolves. Just about what twenty minutesago you heard from Doug Jamison, the
big man in between the pipes,to have a Friday, Saturday Sunday weekend
of Capitol or Region sports. Andwe're talking about the best of the best

(22:33):
professional athletes representing the five one eight. This is about as good as it
gets in the five to one eightfor a weekend like this. So I'm
thrilled we've made it work. Ifyou are a sports in if you listen
to the show, go out tothese offense. What you can't say we
made it work? What do youmean, because we're gonna make it work.

(22:53):
Oh you say you can't say wemade it work on Monday. Oh
okay, but you can't like youdon't, don't, don't, don't touch
the money, don't spike the ball. You know we're we're we're at midfield,
buddy, you know in midfield. You know what I did there because
we talked about the NFL Draft, and people love to give out draft day
grades after the draft. I gavemyself a grade before anybody had played.

(23:15):
That's what I did right there.Gave myself an a before anybody had put
on the uniform. So this iswhat happens when you have the draft talk
and the local sports talk. I'llweaven to one. The whole thing just
comes together as one. Yeah,I get you, but it's uh,
you know very you know me.I'm not what's this? I don't know
who even said it. I'm notsuperstitious, but I'm a little stitches and

(23:36):
I don't want to I don't wantto jinx anything. It's been it's been
a it's been an eventful day.It's been a productive day. I had
seventeen lists when I started. I'mdown to three. So I feel I
feel good. I'm excited. Ourteam is ready. I know the firewalls
are ready. It's just it's it'sa good it's a good man. And
and again, I can't wait tosee you guys out there again where you

(23:57):
belong. So know the predators arein town. They've been bothering me all
day. They're nerds, and it'sgonna be fun. It'sna be a lot
of fun. I'm excited, dude, like I really really am. I
just Bob Belber, who runs thebuilding, came in earlier today already wishing
us luck. So it was.It was. It was pretty cool.
It feels like a legacy weekend.I don't know if we touched on this

(24:17):
enough throughout the show today, butI'll do it one more time. That
and I'm not doing the spike theball celebrating the end zone. Just talking
about storylines because you're probably gonna hearthe same storyline I see now on the
pregame show for the Albany Firebirds whenthey take on Orlando this Saturday. As
you mentioned, Andrew, and AndrewSaint Hill and I on the call of
that. A lot has happened overthe last year. Per se. If

(24:41):
you're a Capitol region sportsman who followsindoor football and arena football and everything else,
a lot has happened. In fittingthe name the Albany Firebirds and the
slogan the talk the forged in fireis out there for a reason. Because
if we got into time machine andwent back to April two thousand in twenty
three and asked, what's April twentytwenty four gonna look like inside envp Arena,

(25:06):
there are a lot of people herelocally would say, no, that's
not gonna happen. There are noindoor games coming. Football is gonna take
a back seat for a while. Not only is it back on Saturday,
but the Albany fire Bird franchise isback. A lot has happened over the
last few months. To have thishappen is something to be super proud of

(25:26):
for everybody involved. Yeah, andonce you see this team, this is
gonna be a really special team.So you know, block party five o'clock,
we're gonna have hitt and run outthere. And obviously, you know,
I know people are they don't knowhow to feel about the whole NFL
network news. But as we coveredit, it really it's it doesn't matter

(25:49):
to us. It shouldn't matter toanyone. Really, it's it's you know,
I know the naysayers are gonna enjoyit, but what was what in
Milton where the quarterback for Obama? The nay sayers, Yes, is that
what that stands for? Yeah, but it's gonna it's just, you know,

(26:10):
it's kind of it's kind of interestingas it calls earlier today and you
know, guys, you know becauseof you know, you had to negotiate
the NIXT contract. You had toyou know back in the day, you
were part of of the Yankees contractand West with one and cumless of stuff.
If you don't have a relationship andsomething goes wrong, you're it's over.
They're just not gonna do it.So the fact that the NFL network

(26:32):
in the NFL itself is like,no, no, no, no,
no, no. We were inthe AFL business. We we uh were.
We believe in you guys. Justbecause there's some you know, some
some minor hiccups or honestly, Idon't know what kind of hiccups they are
because they ain't here. But there'ssome hiccups with with production crews, but
that doesn't that doesn't mean that thisrelationship is going anywhere. So that made

(26:52):
me feel good. It's you knowme, man, when something goes wrong,
how do you act? And everythinggoes right, everybody is perfect?
Something was wrong? How do youact? And the NFL is on our
side? So that's that's pretty bigfor me. That's and again I think
that's how you know Saturday. Youknow, old Gazi Bear is gonna be
out there talking some NFL execs,is gonna be Goodell's gonna be in his

(27:14):
basement eating M and m's or gummybears or whatever he does. And you
know what, that's a star rightthere. That's a special neck gear.
Look at that thing. Never seenanybody like it in the business ever of
all time. Uh. I'll seewhat I said earlier in the show for
those who want to missed it,Apple, Spotify and the iHeart app with
all the things that are being saidbefore kickoff involving Look, sometimes there are

(27:37):
days it's better to stay off socialmedia. You know. Herm Edwards had
the quote, don't press send, maybe just don't open the app. There
are days it's better to get offbecause you can find yourself finding fake accounts
and everybody else having their own. Some days it's better to get off social
media. Today is one of thosedays, just to stay off social media
because there's a lot of nonsense outthere. You did mention the NF I

(28:00):
want to do this one more time. I didn't think I was going to
do this, but I liked howit went yesterday to close this show,
so I kind of want to doit again. Uh seven o'clock coverage gets
underway for a round two and roundthree of the NFL Draft last night eight
o'clock, which I always thought itwas earlier, but seven o'clock tonight for
round two and round three. TheBuffalo Bills lead this thing off. But
on yesterday's show, to close thewhole thing out, I asked for a

(28:22):
hot take. I said, giveme something that you think is going to
happen in the NFL Draft, andguess what cash in the bet? Baby?
I told just six quarterbacks were goingin the first round. Sure enough,
six quarterbacks went in that first round. Uh, Levac, your take
was what again? I had?I had one of the top receiver sliding,

(28:45):
so I got smoked. The chalktook me right down. Took me
right down. Yeah, and Ido. That's an odd one because while
looking back at feels odd because youhad two predictions go because you had you
had the quarterbacks, and you hadTony Kahan wearing a neck brace. Cash
cash that wager. If that wasa real prout bet to wager on thanks
a lot in New York. Uh, I want to do it again,
maybe because I'm riding a hot streakhere on the outside of the playday we

(29:08):
did an hour ago. But Ikeep I think you did this to me.
And now the reports that I've seenbefore I decided to say off social
media today, you've been mentioning thename Spencer Rattler. I'm before we sign
off today, I'm convincing myself thatat some point he is going to be
drafted by the giants. I don'tthink it's today. I don't. So

(29:30):
my take would be we see morereceivers go today than people realize. It
happens every your first round talent goesin the second round. But it feels
like Spencer Rattler will be a giant. But I think you can even get
to the fourth round. And that'smy crazy smoke in take that Rattler's not
going to be a Giant today,it might be tomorrow. I like that.

(29:52):
I think that he's I actually wasgonna say, here's here's what sucks.
Ian was He's gonna be a Raidertoday. Raiders pick. Raiders pick
forty fourth overall, the Giants pickforty seventh overall. I thought, maybe,
you know, it's the only reasonI'm not as gung hole about it
as I as I normally would beis this current Raiders team is very very

(30:15):
clearly a best player available team,Like they're gonna go, who's who is
the best player out there right now? That's who we're bringing in. But
uh, yeah, I mean that. I think, yeah, I'm gonna
go, I'm gonna I'm gonna stealyour pick a couple of picks earlier.
So unless the Giants trade ahead ofme, Raiders take him, and there
you go. He's got all theswagger you want, everything you want.

(30:37):
He became a star with the Qbeing one series where he was the one
who had the big ego. Hewas the Camus prospect, the five star
and everything else. And a differentcollege worked out well for him. And
if we told you Hey, thereason why Spencer Ratler didn't play more in
Oklahoma is because he was beat outfor his spot by Caleb Williams. Out
loud, that doesn't sound so badthat, you know, remembering how that

(30:59):
actually happened. Oh yeah, Andby the way, he played better against
SEC defenses. Hey, that's prettygood too. Hey, all those things
he said about Spencer Ratler don't soundso bad out loud. And I got
a name for you know, I'mgonna toss his name out here because I
want this on the record, rollon this podcast audience. Yesterday was one
of those days where I was tryingto figure out, like, hey,
there's a few players on my listhere of people I voted for for end
of season awards, the Negirsky, the Lombardi of how come nobody's talking about

(31:26):
these guys? And one of thenames I want people to look out for
is a guy by the name ofJonah Ellis. Jonah Ellis, He's a
defensive lineman from Utah. And whyI remember the name Jonah Ellis is because
I wrote on my phone, whothe hell's this eighty three from Utah?
I call those I call those thewife plays or uh yeah, yeah,
no, No, the hood atplays. I call that the hood at

(31:47):
plays where it's like you're watching agame sort of, or maybe the person
next to he's watching it and somebodyelse who's that? Who at? Who?
He was that player this year thatwas so dominant that eighty three is
a defensive end jumped out to me. He's got a little Eden Hutchinson in
in the Levac. So if you'rea fan who needs a defensive lineman of
the NFL team and needs in Dline, that's my player to look out

(32:08):
for. Formerly number eighty three fromthe utah Utes, Jonah Ellis AKA who
that dude? Who's gonna go properlytoday? How about man? I really
hope the Bills go key on Coleman, but I think it's gonna be Lad
McConkie with the first pick tonight. What do you think? I don't want
to agree with you at the endof the show here, but I totally

(32:28):
agree with you on that. Itfeels like the wide receiver. Although although
I've seen some talks that they wantto make a move for a veteran T
Higgins has been rumored. Brandon aYuk has been rumored. If you had
the rank who you want as aBills fan, you would want the veteran
over the rookie. And I know, salary wise, he'd say, Gods,
why would you want a heavier salarybecause they're a little bit more proven
in the league and you can havea little bit more production potential out of

(32:51):
those guys that are rookie. Who'sgotta learn everything involving Josh Allen, So
I would I would lean towards whatyou said and why. I don't think
they're gonna stop trying to bring theveteran until they're on the clock. That's
how you know. No, no, I take it back. They will
try to get the veteran until theirpick is almost over, before theyn go
for the rookie. Why not both? Why not use this year's pick on

(33:15):
a on a on a rookie andthen give up one of next year's picks
for you know, for t Higginsor whoever. I mean, because if
i'm if I'm I feel like it'sa it's a great conditional pick, one
of those ones where all right,if Brandon Ayuk or or whoever goes out
and they're a top five wide receiver, I get a second round pick.
If they're a top ten, Iget your third. Anything below that,

(33:37):
I get your fifth. Like, because you're not gonna give a first round
or for anybody anymore. He's justnot gonna do it. It would have
happened already, So I think Ithink that's that's where I'm at. I
would rather if I'm the Bills.Yeah, talk to me about next year's
picks for for players that aren't aheadof me, or you know, package
them up with something so I canreally enjoy myself and stack this team up

(33:59):
again. The Mafia, you getto lead this thing off. We think
possibly who knows by the time coveragestart trading back again. That's all we
have to do now with the NFLDraft for our different you know, I'll
keep you in the podcast. He'sa lot of love in this segment for
real, Like you could be listeningto this and be like, no,
no, you guys are wrong aboutthat. What do you mean It was
like ninety minutes before, it wastwo hours before. That was a greatness

(34:22):
of the NFL Draft. Was somuch fun. And if anything from round
two through seven can bring us whatRound one brought us, it's a stacked
weekend. I would advise watching her, following along on your phone and going
all to the capital, reaching localsporting events. But we got ady drama
like we got on Thursday night,It's gonna be in a historically fun,

(34:43):
exciting time for football fans. Couldn'tagree more. My friend couldn't agree more.
Matter of fact, like it makesme want to like kind of like
co op my workout to somebody elseso that I can sit home and watch
the rest of the draft. Iwish there was somebody who could teach me
who to hire. You know, next time, I think we need to
have watch along with Jordan Modiana andExpress Employment Professionals because he might have that

(35:04):
eye for talent we know he doeswhen it comes to helping businesses find those
people that they're looking for, whateverthe skill set might be, how to
improve that business leaning on somebody youcan trust. But you talk about getting
to know somebody and their strengths. If you're a business owner, you need
to fill positions quickly, if youhave a season coming up where you need
more help, or you're just notgreat at understanding how resumes and how people

(35:28):
look. People gotta admit maybe I'mnot the best hire when it comes to
this work with Jordan and his teamto help you and your business improve,
or maybe just recently moved out tothe capital to reach it and you're helping
out a friend, a family member, or someone else who's looking for that
new employment. Express Employment Professionals.Check them out expresspros dot com from more
information. Again, that's expresspros dotcom and their Facebook page. Love seeing

(35:50):

(36:10):
being a better employee coming from Express. All right, guys, it's time
for me to go. I gota roll, brother, I gotta get
this thing together. I got youknow, I never thought i'd say this
before. I I've got to haveinterns count out two thousand rally towels and
then twenty five hundred. I can'teven tell you what it is. Next
week's Thursday's promos here off. It'syeah, man, it's crazy so I

(36:32):
will see you when you get heretomorrow, excited to at least do another
game with you for NFL network.Pops back in the picture and I said,
who knows, Maybe this is it. Maybe this is the Gazi Bear
coming out party. That's what Ithink we'll see, I hope. So
this is an odd way to endthe show. You know what I'm gonna
do it get a taste of thisNFL Network. Wash your hands, don't

(36:54):
touch your face. Fox Sports ninetyfive nine and not eighty guys hit the Lawton
