(00:00):
Out, Hit and Run, playedthe block party, Anderson's Windows was there.
It was it was a good day. You know. Cultural Affairs for
Albany came out to about the TulipFest, so I didn't see as much.
So I've been catching up on thelast couple of days on the Saturday
part of it. Uh. Ifind it interesting that of the three New
(00:21):
York teams, only one drafted aquarterback. It was in the fifth round.
It was the Jets, and itwas a guy who used to be
extremely highly rated, Jordan Travis.I loved that Jordan Travis pick. The
reason I loved it so much wasbecause there was a time at the start
of twenty twenty four, no no, no, no, take it back
(00:43):
in December of twenty twenty three whereyou would have thought Jordan Travis was the
greatest quarterback in college football history, not because of his play on the field,
but because of every College Football PlayoffCommittee member telling us why else a
different team without Jordan Travis. FloridaState's good. Without Jordan Travis. You
would have thought he played all twentytwo positions on the field because of the
(01:04):
impact they showed. So Jordan Travisis a quarterback who has a good career
but it didn't end the way hewanted to end, suffers an injury,
has to come back, and isperceived to be the most important player on
a team. I mean a lotof those descriptions I just had there are
Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Travis is probablythe perfect quarterback for the Jets to have
(01:27):
on the roster because they've got thebackup in Taylor, they've got the veteran
in Rodgers, and you and Isaid this going into last week, going
to the draft, They're likely goingto take a cheap, late round flyer
on a rookie who's gonna sometimes suitup, sometimes not suit up. So
they take Jordan Travis because he's agood player for Florida State, but he
suffers an injury that ended his season. Now they can basically do what the
(01:52):
Lions did with Hendon Hooker. Ifyou remember Hendon Hooker the season before,
Hendon Hooker was one of the bestquarterbacks in the country. He finished fourth
in the Heisman I voted for himsecond, led Tennessee to the number one
ranking in the country. He's abouttwo weeks away from the Bowl game and
all the most part games tears upthe lower part of his body, done
lines taking in the third round, doesn't sniff the field this year, there
(02:12):
is no I mean, you don'tknow if he sniffed it, they didn't
get on the field this year. There's no threat of Jordan Travis taking out
Rogers' spot or Taylor's spot, Andthere might not even be a threat of
Travis suiting up for some games. But it's a reasonable pick. I thought
it was a very smart play bythe Jets to find out what they got
in Jordan Travis. And you canuse him as a developmental guy. If
(02:35):
he's in can't body, you know, name your term, that means he's
not threatening your starting quarterback. Butat the same time, if he happens
to develop into something great like that'skind of where we're at because because as
of right now, like you said, you got Rogers, you got Taylor,
you got Travis. That's your quarterbackroom for the Jets at all.
(02:55):
Shocked the Giants didn't get a quarterbackin the draft. Daniel Jones, Drew
locked Tommy DeVito is their quarterback room. Yeah, it felt like Rattlers.
He fell further and further down thateventually New York was gonna look at that
and be like, Okay, weall know Spencer Ratler's better than Tommy DeVito.
Right, Let's just make the change, right now, Let's make the
change. Joe Milton. Joe Miltonwent to the Patriots to believe in the
(03:20):
sixth round. Joe Milton did nothave a very good college career. But
Joe Milton's the guy who can throwthe ball seventy yards. If we put
shirts and shorts on all the quarterbacks, most people would take Milton for the
first pick. If we're playing sevenon seven, there's your quarterback, Joe
Milton. But we're not. Soyeah, I am surprised that the Giants
did not take a quarterback. Atsome point, I get not going to
the second or third round, andso it's Daniel Jones's team. They think
(03:45):
he's the guy. They must haveloved Dre and there we go. You
know what, I just stopped myselfright there. They were so obsessed with
Drake May that they said, oh, we need Drake May so badly.
We need him, you know what, We love him so much. We
don't want a quarterback anymore. It'seither Drake nobody. Like I find it
hard to believe that the Giants neededa quarterback that desperately and then said we
don't need one anymore. I don'tknow if I believe the talk of the
(04:08):
Drake may aggressive at the top afterthe results of the draft. Who again,
it's just to have that extra quarterbackin the room. Like the Bills
didn't pick a quarterback that yeah, you got Josh Allen, you got Mitchell,
you got all that stuff for theGiants don't do it made no sense
to me. Like what the Jetssaid, you summed it up really well.
(04:30):
Let you selfish for a minute. What's worse that that the Giants didn't
sign a quarter or draft quarterback orthe Raiders didn't draft a quarterback. Because
I remember the Raiders room was anO'Connell and Gardner Minshew. It's now an
O'Connell, Gardner Minshew, Anthony Brownjunior who out of Oregon, and free
(04:56):
agent non drave free agent Carter Bradleyfrom I'll t Alabama. Ew. The
answer is the Raiders, okay now, Gardner Minshew has a lot more on
tape, as the coaches like tosay, than A and O'Connell. It's
all good though, No it's notnow that there's been times where Gardner Minshe
has probably been talking about an averagequarterback in above average. Then there's been
(05:18):
other times where like, oh,that's why he's a career backup. I
know, off come on the air, whether it's Sundays when you're at Rivers
Casino Resort or now, it'd belike, hey, why is that Gardner
Minshew a starter? He feels likehe's quarterback number thirty three in the league,
and then he'd have terrible games. So we find out the answer is
your Raiders. The Raiders are goingto enter the twenty twenty four NFL season
with the worst quarterback room. That'sworse than the Giants. I thought by
(05:41):
last week that was gonna flip. That is worse than the Giants. Do
you know? You know, damnwell, that Farva is gonna take over.
It's gonna be fine, you knowthe hill. Well, the only
reason it's worse than the Giants isbecause Tommy DeVito is a third stringer is
better than the third and fourth stringerfor the Raiders, because I've seen more
Tommy the other two. Oh,we don't know that, I mean,
we don't know that. I wouldfeel safe to say he's better than the
two for the rim, both ofthem, but together. Yes, I
(06:03):
can't just m I don't know.I don't know if I think that's true
or not. I think you knowme. I'm a big ad O'Connell guy.
I think I think he's got there'ssomething about him. And in the
fact that they didn't make a bigmove. Obviously it was it would have
been difficult to go from thirteen totwo where you had to go to get
(06:23):
Jayden Daels, But the fact that, wow, the ghost of a no
conna your body is I need atwo leter coke. The fact that that
didn't happen, I think it's justI think they're after I think they like
an O'Connell. I think Gardner minshewas there to help keep him along.
(06:44):
But I think Am O'Connell is goingto be the starting quarterback again. And
you said that before the Raider preseasonstarted last year. It's not just Levec
watched though Conna thought, oh,I think he's gonna That was your big
take from the summer that said Amno conna will be a starting quarterback.
He played a long time practice.Yeah, yeah, played a long time.
You saw what he was doing inpractice. He had a fantastic preseason.
He did everything you do when you'rea late round pick, sometimes even
(07:08):
undrafted, of prove it in thepreseason and see if you can play.
He did that, and that's whyhe's in the conversation of who is going
to be Q being one for theVegas Raiders in the season rolls around.
Let me ask you this whide rangingquestion. We've talked a lot of quarterbacks
here, we're talking about guys whowent on Day two or Day three.
This sounds like a very simple question. Maybe the answer will be simple when
(07:28):
we look at the New York teams. You already mentioned the Giants, the
Giants, the Jets, the Bills. We've talked about all these teams.
Now after the NFL Draft is nowcompleted, rosters are pretty big. Can
we say all three New York teamsdid get better? Like they found roster
spots to fill a lot of themlost veterans, especially the Bills. Looking
(07:53):
at what they did across the boardfor all three New York teams might sound
too simple and too easy. Didall three teams get better after the draft?
All right, let's dot's let's let'sdo it. Let's let's look at
him. What do you want tostart with. Let's start with the New
York Jets. All right, NewYork Jets. Yes, they got better.
Foreshado is a heck of a tackle. Any chance you have protecting your
(08:16):
guy, that's your guy. Ido like that you had a depth at
wide receiver, depth at running back, a lot of depth running back.
I would have liked to have seenmore line, more line, but I
think you did get better. Maybenot as much you could have, but
you did get better. Totally agree. I think the Jets got better.
(08:37):
The one name to look out foris Allen in the backfield, because he's
a fourth rounder. I believe hejust I'm shocked he went that loan.
It feels like it's just more aboutthe position because he's only twenty. I
think I'm gonna double check that. But I believe Braylen Allen's might even be
nineteen. He's one of these guyswho reclassified, and then when he reclassified,
(08:58):
I don't think it came in asa running So they went from hey,
let's sign a really old Dalvin Cookwho's banged up and didn't produce for
us too. Let's find the youngestof running back possible, so that if
he doesn't get carries, he'll bejust fine. And I don't think he
got that many carries at Wisconsin. So he is twenty, he is twenty
years old. He just turned twentyin January. He played the season at
(09:20):
nineteen Levac nineteen years old. Now, he did get six hundred carries in
college. He uh is a bigback. His one thousand yards is a
true freshman joining Ron Daine, JamesWhite, and Jonathan Taylor. Is the
only other freshman Wisconsin to do that. Pretty good company. Yeah, he
did that when he was seventeen andeighteen years old. It's pretty good.
(09:43):
And again we like the we likethe quarterback pick. So all all good,
All right, we're going let's dothe Giants the g men. I
like Molik Neighbors a lot. Iknow the knock on Elik Neighbors is going
to be whether or not you thinkDaniel Jones can can be a winning quarterback
this year. I think if he'shealthy, having neighbors and other weapons,
(10:07):
now I think he's got a chanceto do a little something. So they
got better. I'm just not surehow much better. I can't believe we
agree back to back times. Thisfeels like a very small margin of better.
Now, did the Giants get trappeda little bit by free agency?
Did they think Saquon Barkley was gonnacome back? Did the Daniel Jones deal
(10:28):
hurt him that they couldn't be asaggressive They signed an offensive lineman Andrew Thomas
to a deal before last year's trainingcamp. Evan Neil hasn't worked out as
well as they'd hoped. They didget a little bit better. This one
for the Giants feels like we shouldre ask that question in August. Look,
when the preseason kicks off, whencamp's going on, this feels like
(10:50):
a team that someone rained him cansteal a roster spot from and I'll be
like, oh, who's that now? Our guys, who are it?
Picks one on six? Quin can'tThey're gonna probably have an interview with Johns
Schmelkin. Maybe we will have himon the show again as well. If
who is this random like seventy fiveplaying defensive back, that's tearing it the
old Victor Cruz day. There's numberthree out there that feels like with the
Giants, So that one's tougher thanthe Jets. Yeah. Well, and
(11:13):
also I think we've I think we'veforgotten how much we've always trusted Brian Dable.
He had a bad year. Doesthat mean he's a bad coach now?
I don't think so. So Ithink these moves will work well for
him. He'll find a way touse them and use them appropriately. The
Buffalo Bills, I think they hada really solid draft. I think they
did really well. I love KeonColeman. You traded back, you added
(11:35):
more pieces. You had to cutbait with a lot of your talent,
especially on the defensive side of theball. So you bring in safety Cole
Bishop, You bring in defensive tackleDwayne Carter. You get a running back,
you get a center, you getlinebackers, edge rushers. You had
a lot of holes. Now yougot a lot of filler. Ten players
(11:58):
were drafted by the buff Bills.Ted. What if all Ted make the
roster. You know you had tomanipulate the salary cap in some way to
find contributors. He knew, asyou said, Levac, you had to
fill holes. You are gonna seea lot of these guys either be on
the fifty three men compete in trainingcamp for a spot special teams contributor.
(12:20):
The Bills knew they had to replacea lot of veterans who went out and
got paid or thought they should bepaid more, have a bigger role.
There's been a different variations of what'shappened in Buffalo. This is a great
test to find out how good BrandonBean is. Brandon Bean has not been
questioned a lot out in Western NewYork at times with talent. Sure,
Sean mcdermot's been questioned about leadership, play calling it so all coaches get that
(12:41):
leadership, more so for McDermott. But this is a draft. You look
at those players they bring in.Wonder, Okay, what is Brandon Bean
seeing. We both like Kean Coleman. But then all of a sudden the
seventh round, we're like, we'regonna take a wild player from England.
All right, We're gonna take arugby guy and see what he can do.
We're gonna take an edge rusher fromTroy. Throw them out there,
see what he can do. I'mnot even trying to make light of this,
(13:03):
but seriously, one of the wildeststories of the NFL drafts. I
believe Ray Davis was raised in aFoster home. I believe Ray Davis like
worked his way up through a differentschool system and he became a player to
Kentucky. The background story on therunning back they drafted out of the fourth
round is very Josh Jacobs like ofthe underdog story of Ray Davis, where
(13:24):
people want to see him get somecarries. So Buffalo's got some fighters,
some mentality. If we get anopportunity to go out to Rochester at saintohn
Fisher, I believe they have oneyear left out there, that is going
to be a fight in camp.Maybe not physical fights, but there's gonna
be about seventy five guys who reallytruly have a shot to make that right.
That is gonna make that team better. But how intense that cam is
(13:45):
gonna be? And a fight onthe ride home after those garbage plays.
Oh my goodness, I'm not builtlike I used to be. You know.
Found that out last night. AnyGelcher my quarter, everybody they took
us down. Any Gelscher was like, We're going to Morton Steakhouse for the
win, and I I had aTomahawk's stake. It's the bestly we've ever
(14:05):
done in my life. But Ifelt terrible all night. It's so bad.
So, yeah, the garbage placesa problem. Windows up kids,
all right, Yes, maybe inAugust they're linked you a lot. You
might be busy, though. Idon't know if we're gonna be able to
pull that off this year. We'llsee how deep the season goes, hopefully
very deep. Well, the championshipis in July, okay, so there's
a chance, all right, andthen I have in my Disney vacation in
(14:28):
August. But then we'll go fromthere. But right now, I know
my house is taking care of nomatter what else is going on because of
yous X Past Control. Yeah, that's right, us X Past Control.
That's who we go with. UHstarted for me with the non chemical exclusion

out a plan and they move forwardwith it. Non chemical exclusion means they
go around and they seal up thecrevices, they fix things so that nothing
can get in. And then there'sstep two, as God calls the marriage
saver. Yeah, Kristin texted melast week and today I'm thinking about doing
(15:09):
this new thing where I'm just gonnaad Christen to a mass text with my
wife and be like, hey,it's the Keselowski's. When are you stop
it over? What are you gonnabe here? They stopped over today.

talking about eating the whole bucket ofcheese balls. Leon on x formerly known
as Twitter, wants to do theHuge Lose Hungry Man challenge instead thirty minute
to finish a calzone filled with tentoppings your choice with a water or a
twenty out soda Marinara sauce. It'stwenty five bucks in a challenge. You
(22:11):
finish it, you get your body, you get your money back. You
get twenty five bucks in like theirmoney. See I'm not fast, like
gos would be better at that thanme. You don't eat a lot,
but you can eat faster than Ican. If it was a drinking challenge,
like can we drink a bunch ofstuff in thirty minutes? I could.
I could wreck shop. Here's whatI would do. Leon, I
appreciate you thinking of us to takingon this challenge. I have done two
(22:33):
eating challenges in my life. I'vedone two Hot doug eating contests. I
lost the first one, one onthe second one. But if I'm gonna
do that challenge, I think oursales team's gotta get involved. I gotta
get like you mentioned Chet Davis earlier. Yeah, like I got to get
into competitive eating shape, like rightnow, I need the stamina. I
don't have the stamina right now.Sleeping is not great. Toddler's a run
(22:56):
around. I'm not saying no tothis. There's a lot of things they're
gonna be taught. I don't mindif this is potentially the punishment or the
reward for our Yankees Orioles. Betlike we're throwing some ideas out there.
We talked about stand up comedy aboutforty five minutes ago. Doing a stand
up set could potentially be in themix. This could be in the mix.
Leon, I appreciate the recommendation. This is not the last time we'll
(23:17):
mention this. Keep us in theloop about potentially you and I diving into
this. I'm convinced I can eatthis ocauy I do him thirty minutes is
the question. That's the challenge there. I said, yeah, and I
don't. Again, I'm not I'mfat, but I'm not fast at eating.
So like everybody's like, oh,you're fat, you probably eat like
fast. No, that's not whatit is. I enjoy eating. That's
the problem. Also, Leon,if you have the marketing director's information or
(23:41):
purchasing or advertising, just send thatmy Uge Louse. Yeah, Huge Lou's
got a big old marketing budget. We can find out thanks to our wonderful
team here at iHeart like versus allways, Big Big Lou. He's like you,
but he's on wife number two orwhatever. They'll uh easy. They're
a sponsor too, How dare you? No, I'm just saying a huge
loop. I want a Huge Louand Big Lou were related. My favorite
(24:06):
spot. It doesn't run here anymore. My number two doesn't look like a
number two. I don't know ifthey're I hope they're not advertising with us.
I'm Okay, if they're not,I'm all right. Speaking of poop,
have you seen the seventy six erslately? Woo stanky uh ninety seven
ninety two Knicks get the win.Jalen Brunton is back, baby pressures at
(24:27):
you. He is putting some physicalityout there getting it done. And I'm
a little nervous about tomorrow night's gamejust because the seventy six Ers are so
dirty. Joel mdd is so dirtyand they are desperate. I just hope
none of my guys get hurt withthis scummy player. The seventy six ers.
Seventy six Ers are so scummy thatthe people who usually go watch them
(24:52):
and cheer for them sold all theirtickets, and Knicks fans who were chanting
a what a po beep Joel beatis it's it's over. Except for the
fact that I just told nobody getshurt because they're just so dirty. The
Sixers, for the first time inthat series, were not as good as
the Knicks. I know the Knickshad to want two other games before that,
(25:12):
but that matchup in particular, finallywe could come on the air and
say the Knicks were better than theSixers. The Sixers were the team that
everybody feared. And I never pushedback on you Levac when he talked about
that tick, because it seemed rightwith an MVP candidate, with Maxi playing
really good basketball, with the rosterlooking like it was more focused for the
postseason than ever before this, andthey were hot. They were on a
(25:33):
ton of games. This was theteam nobody wanted in the East. But
the Knicks made better plays in thefourth quarter to grab two victories in that
one and then this one. Yes, it was about Jalen Brunson. We
had waited for the moment. Wasinefficient in the first two games, better
in game three, and we usedstart putting up numbers like that where no
one's done a game like this sinceMichael Jordan, right, forty seven and
(25:57):
ten with that efficiency from the field, Not since Michael Jordan in the mid
nineties. Whenever you have a statthat said next playoff record, right,
not since Jordan is always a goodstat to have. Yeah, they finally
got that to happen. And evenat the end of the game, you're
talking about the scummy play, likethe Sixers are biting and clawed and scratching.
(26:18):
That felt like one of those gamesthat no matter what, even though
the Knicks had the game won, even that one felt like they're gonna commit
a dirty foul, aren't they. They're gonna do something to go to the
line and come miit intentional. Itjust felt like this, And I get
what you're saying about that. Itfeels like that fourth quarter game might get
a little ugly. But the bestway to make sure that doesn't happen is
if New York gets up by abouttwenty in the second half. Yeah,
(26:41):
whatever it takes, I mean literally, whatever it takes is that's you get
out of this series with it withBrunson intact five games, you little resk
get ready to go move on tothe next round. And then it's it
looks like Indiana's gonna go ahead anddo the same thing. Something changed here
with how we view star players inthe biggest games and the toughness factor because,
(27:06):
as you said, Knicks fans tookover Philly and we're changing words.
We can't say on the radio aboutEmbiid, but not Ioop, not a
single person I think I'm willing tohear, would argue that Joel Embiide is
not hurt like we all get he'shurt, right, Like he came back
from an injury. He's being alittle dramatic on the court. A little
problem. He's being dramatic on thecourt. He's making sure we all know
(27:29):
he was hurt. But what happensnow in pro sports is that I am
hurt, I'm injured. Okay, well stop being injured and play better.
There used to be like the warriormentality, murder of the back, like,
wow, he played through an injuryand got it done. Game.
Maybe the warrior mentality is only coolwhen you win, Like when you're just
like a warrior and playing through itand you're seventy percent and you're getting beat
and you're like, ah, Imean, we're not gonna give you credit.
(27:52):
We lost the serious there's the becausethen Bead's hurt and it's not like
Philly feels for him like oh Bede, We're they're killed as the way he's
playing, like he's just he's outthere just just being dirty, like to
the point where even Philadelphia, whois potentially, yeah, potentially just the
grossest fan base in the world, like they're going, well, that's too
(28:14):
far, Like they're they're saying they'relike, well, I'm gonna go and
watch Rocky for the fifty millions timeinstead of this game. Like that's there
to like wet horsepoop to celebrate, and we're sickened by what you're doing out
there. That's how bad Philadelphia is. You're making us look bad out here.
Yeah, like we have a mouthfulof horse tongue and you are making
(28:36):
us look bad. Joel embiid Yeah, that one the gods, dude,
why would you ever live it down? Why would you ever live that?
You should never you never get tolive that down. No one should ever
kiss that guy again, like everever you did it to yourself? Yeah
all right, you were the onecaught on camera getting a little Yeah,
(28:57):
we had our pala over in Atlanta. City of Michael said, Man,
when the Eagles win the Super Bowl, that place is gonna burn down.
I'm like, all right, let'sAnd then you started watching the videos at
the celebration, You're like burned downProbably wasn't the right expression expression. But
are you proud of what's happening outhere? Are you happy what you're seeing?
Oh? You mentioned timberwolves have movedon. Well they're waiting for uh
(29:19):
okay see and everybody to move on. But I think, uh, we
could be could be into something here. Nick should be Nick should be Uh
if if you say yourselfing I saidit, I didn't want seventy six ers,
but now that's almost over. Knockon wood Pacers upsetting the box that
(29:41):
you would have You would have paidgood money for that if you of the
Knicks right, Yes, the Pacermatchup, although Indiana's good and Indiana built
that roster to make sure it wasready for the postseason, credit to their
management and everything else, that isa far better. Yeah, it's a
it's a better matchup for the Knicksand the Bucks. It's close, It's
not like no doubt could have beenup. I wouldn't be shocked if this
is like another even set series forthe Knicks and the Pacers like it was
(30:06):
with the Knicks being the underdog inthe series with Philly. It's gonna it
could be going seven games for sure, Indiana. I guess of all this
series I look across the NBA,the one that is the most shocking is
that Pacer Bucks series. And it'snot so much about the lack of effort
for Milwaukee. Feels like just everybody'shurt, like Janna Sante to Kumpo's impact
(30:26):
in that series is not what peoplethought it was going to be Damian Lillard.
They're like, well they got theygot Dame time. He's gonna take
over, He's gonna be the bestplayer on the court. Some of that's
been true, But last time Ichecked, he didn't playing game before.
Doesn't it feel like doesn't it feellike doesn't play when he doesn't want to.
He just I don't know how fairthat is, but he feels and
(30:49):
maybe it's because of his comments inthe past, like I have a life
kind of thing. He feels likesomebody who could take or leave the game
of basketball, Like to be thatgood at it, to be a champion
and seemingly not care is offensive tome as a fan. It's the level
importance of his life is in ashigh as it used to be. I
get what you're saying. Look, even if Lillard was healthy and he was
(31:15):
playing fine earlier in the series andI heard his achilles and that ot loss,
even if he was playing I don'tknow if Milwaukee wins that series,
Like Indiana has just been so muchbetter. But that's the problem with the
Bucks fans now, like, whodo you blame? The easy answer is
Doc Rivers. Hey, we wehired used the head coach. How come
you're not winning this playoff series withboth your best players. We spent tons
of money on that. They're bothinjured. You know, we don't have
(31:37):
to overthink this one. But Iunderstand though, put a little more pressure
on him without onto the compo. It kind of plays to the MP thing.
The problem I can't stand about theNBA playoffs now is that Greek freak
Hurt Lillard, Hurt Kawhi, Likemaybe he'll play, maybe he won't,
Maybe he'll play, maybe he won't. Battling through injuries of what that's been.
(31:59):
We saw Zion suffer through an injuryin the play and we saw Jimmy
Butler. We've seen a lot ofimpact players miss some time, which means
this there's someone who's gonna have atake soon enough to be like we told
you the regular season didn't matter ifthese guys hadn't played so much in the
regular season, which really doesn't makesense. It doesn't Maybe if you played
a lot in the regular season inyour body would be ready. But there
(32:22):
are gonna be people who actually defoundedthe regular season again because of the lack
of superstars in the postseason. Yeah, you're I mean, you're right.
But if there's a team that usestheir starters more than the Knicks, I
don't know who they are. Andthe Knicks feel like they're hitting their groove,
like you're so to your point whereeverybody's gonna sit there and say they
didn't play they played too much. And there has been moments since Tims has
(32:45):
been the coach of the Knicks whereit's felt like he's running starters into the
dirt, and I've accused him assuch. But right now they feel like
they're at the perfect like Froth,They're just ready to go. They want
every minute on the court. Theywant to play. I think Josh hardlehoo
a better game tomorrow. It'll beinteresting. Can the Heat beat the Celtics
tonight? I guess is the question? Can the you know, take that
(33:07):
thing out as far as it cango? Keep the Celtics busy for a
little while while the Knicks advance andhopefully rest. You'll find out all those
answers and more tomorrow live here onyour home for the New York Knicks.

our three I don't know sports. We'll take a big domplo all the stuff
like we have storts news like it'slike FIBA, you know, if you're
(36:02):
gonna do the amount of fiber news. This is my favorite part of three
hours of Lavac and Gays on FoxSports. Dump. This segment called the
Dump. Anything we didn't get togoes right here. Pop culture, news,
sports. If you think we misssomething, we don't call it what
did we miss? No, no, no, that's been used before the
(36:23):
Dump. I have a rant tostart off today's nut didn't. I just
wrote that as like a being anidiot one day, and you like loved
it. So I love the dumpeven hanging out with toddlers too much.
I should have brought this up andplay of the day. I will use
this to complain about bets. Buthere here's where I was conflicted last night.
(36:43):
I have been the biggest Anthony Edwardsfan you can find for the Minnesota
Timberwolves. We're at the side.I know we covered this earlier in the
hour about the the change of theguard in the NBA, that we're in
a new era of sports and AnthonyEdwards is now getting the treatment of the
side. Dunky had that people arecalling him Michael Jordan's father or Michael Jordan's
his father and he's his son becausehe plays so much like him poster.
(37:06):
He's just dunking all over everybody. But here's what happened yesterday. I texted
you at what about seven thirty seveno'clock, and the line in the Sun's
Timberwolves game opened it even. Okay, that's a little weird. They're up
three to l but it's a homegame for Phoenix that got star players probably
would pass in a game in thepostseason. Anything within three points, I
don't like touching ever. Ever, then all of a sudden, the line
(37:30):
jumped to Phoenix favored by three. Then the Sun's favored by a point and
a half. What the world happened? Well, Scott Foster, the official
was put on the game, andpeople are saying, if that's a three
point swing for an official, yougotta take Phoenix. So there, I
mister conspiracy. I got the edge, even though I knew the team wasn't
(37:50):
better, even though I should haveknown better, even though I've been mister
Anthony Edwards, what do I do? I'm gone been on Phoenix. Here
I go lose there, idiot. But there's a point to this story.
It's worse than that too, bythe way, because you dragged Boston,
Dan and I down with you.Yes, you were both just mine on
our own. And also you're like, you gotta do this, and Dan's
(38:13):
like on it. I made funof Dan, and then I beat it
too. I went to sleep beforethe fourth quarter because I knew that bet
was toasted. I knew Phoenix hadnothing left in the fourth quarter, Minnesota
was gonna run away with it.They had more in the tank. They
were gonna win that in the fourth. But it's it's the quote that Boston
Dan here had in our mass textsI think is the most important here in
the dump again, probably should havedone us for Play of the Day.
But you get a little taste ofthis. How many people are like Boston
(38:35):
Dan And you know what I'm youknow what I'm talking about here that if
you if you wager on sports,if you get just a little tip,
a little as the tip, justto see how it feels if someone gives
you a pointer like that, whatwas it? What was the thing you
mocked him with and said like lefthanded golfers on Thursdays hit better with the
I said, if we told Dangolfers with male pattern baldness were when all
(39:00):
the majors, he'd have all hismoney on Jordan's path by the end of
the text. Let us know atthe Jeff Levak at Tom gots TYMG is
easy, at wf X ninety, wherever you'd like, like, did we
stumble upon something that maybe way morepeople who invest in sports do it that
way, that the only way theypick up their phone, the only way
they hit the Kiosi at Rivers CasinoResort, is that if someone gave them
(39:22):
an adjust stat something about the gamethat they invest in. Have you and
I missed a huge part of theaudience that consumes this show and wagers on
sports that give me an edge,Like we are here in the capitol region,
Sarah token not too far away. You know how many people probably said,
Oh, I got a tip onthis horse. I heard someone about
the six, so I'm poop himbefore he went. Gotta gotta bet on
(39:44):
him. Like the value there, good value, good value, Like did
you think about that when that textcame through? Of maybe far more people
who wager are like Boston in thanwe realize. I think everybody is.
Everybody is. So you're like, you're saying maybe higher than fifty six seventy
percent. Well, especially like you'resupposed to know what you're talking about.
You're you do this for a living, so the fact that you don't know
(40:05):
what you're talking about is the partthat's that's how that got twisted into that
I had an edge in the game. I thought I had the referees moving
a line that for me is likeyou got a wager. Now I lost,
But I thought I had stats toback me up. Educating let me
let me. So you're arguing withme that you weren't wrong. You don't
know what That's not what I said. Know what I said was you said
(40:28):
I didn't know what I was talkingabout. I had proof as to why
I placed the wager. I wasn'tjust shooting in the dark. The wager
do not well lost. So youknow what you're talking about. You know
that's like a HYPOTHEI I don't knowno hypothes And if then, if then
statement, So, like, here'smy here's my hypothesis. If Levac and
Boston Dan listen to Gos's betting tips, then they will lose their money and
(40:53):
be called stupid. That's that's myIf then there's your hypothesis. Something from
Sesame Street I learned. It waslike, I wonder, let's try,
oh man, something else in there. Like if you mix blue and yellow,
Levak, you could get green. That's my hypothesis. I had stats
to back that up. If then, if then, if you mix blue
(41:15):
and yellow, then you get green. That's a hypothesis. I mean,
if then statement. So I justwent five minutes about maybe no more.
People don't wager like that. Allthey wants the tip. All they wants
a little bit of a head chip. That's all. I could be completely
wrong about that tick. They're justfired off wagers all day. Well,
you gotta remember, though, likedoes Mike sound okay? I mean,
I know I sound like crap becauseI'm sick. I feel like the sounds
(41:37):
funny. Mike's fine. The youcan remember, like I have friends like
Jeff Morosick. Now, people who'velistened to Capitalis and Radio for a long
time, you know Morosic. Thisis the guy I used to call them
polish lepercun If he gave you heif he gave you a tip, usually
paint off, you wouldn't talk aboutit on the radio unless unless he liked
(41:58):
it. He wouldn't reach out tome unless you really like to play.
He still will reads tell me oncein a while and be like, hey,
you remember when you used to calleverything that little Well you called the
low the low, not the youthe low taking the low thought of you
thought I give you a ring. That's what I get. So like those
like I've had people in my lifewho are smart and have made good calls.
So again, when I like Lavackand guys Sports talk radio, Fox
(42:21):
Sports almost a year, almost ayear of this show on the station they
first celebrate a year anniversary of thisweek. You call ce what happens then?
You know? I expect you tocome through with some some poignant information
that's gonna help me win some kish. But nah, not you never you.
(42:43):
I'll move on to the second storyI had here in the dump.
Are you more excited less excited? No difference at all about the news involving
the Tyson Paul fight coming up onthat? What is the latest news on
Tyson versus Paul? This has nowbecome a sanctioned boxing bout. If you
don't know, Mike Tyson in onJuly twentieth on Netflix will be fighting YouTuber
(43:04):
turned prize fighters. How the Associatedpress is wording it Jake Paul. So
this is classified as a sanctioned professionalfight by the Texas Department of Licensing and
Regulations. A lot of people questionedwhether or not this was gonna be a
gimmicky fight, whether or not therewas gonna be too many advantages. Celebrity
fight's not the right term. Butwe've seen old school as the way I'll
(43:24):
say old school boxers participate in boutsthat didn't look like it did when they
were in their prime. But thisis a sanctioned bout at at and T
Stadium. I cannot believe that's that'sa pretty big deal for Paul. Fifty
seven year old Mike Tyson has notwon a professional bout in twenty years.
Again, little effects, no effects, indifferent about the news today. It's
(43:47):
that actually real fight sanctioned by thestate of Texas. Now I'm in Oh.
Now I'm in Oh because I thinkTyson. I if you saw Tyson
Roy Jones Jr. You saw MikeTyson provide for Roy Jones Junior's family,
like like, Mike Tyson could havetaken Roy Jones Junior out at any point
during that fight. Was that threefour years ago? Now? Is that
(44:10):
one? Yeah? Yeah, hecould have, but it was it was
it was a exhibition, so hetook care of him. They split the
gate, all this other stuff. That's a sanctioned bout. If Tyson plays
around and gets you know, caughtin a button, gets busted Douglas out
there by by Jake Paul, He'llnever hear the end of it. Tyson's
(44:34):
gonna go out there and take thisthis goop Paul's head off. He'll dance
with him for a little bit threethree rounds, maybe four, and then
he might put He'll put this kidon his butt. There is a number
that eventually you don't have the sameskill set as he did before. Like
fifty seven years old is up there. I can hear my dad thing,
No, it's not Tommy boy.I'm sixty five, you know, he
Burpyes, I did today, Likesir. Certain people will say age is
(44:57):
nothing but a number. Oh yeah, how many parties did I do today?
Lots? Who would I pick?I would never wager on this fight.
I would never. So you say, think it's Tyson, note out,
Yeah, and to your point, twenty seven year old Mike Tyson.
Twenty four year old Mike Tyson wouldkill fifty seven year old Mike Tyson.
(45:19):
But fifty seven year old Mike Tysonwould kill about thirty percent of the population
with ease. He's the baddest manon the planet probably still he is.
You line up fifteen fifty seven yearold men and you tell me that I've
got to take a punch from fourteen. I only get to exclude one,
and Tyson's in that group. Thoseother fourteen guys get to punch me.
(45:40):
I'm not letting Tyson punch me.You put thirty seven year old men out
there, I might let the otherI might let all them hit me first
too. You'll be shocked to realizethat. Of course, me thinking about
this fight, my first thought wasabout professional wrestling, and I thought,
hear me out here on this forthe benefit of boxing, for the future
(46:00):
of the sport of boxing. Thatthe best thing that can happen at the
end of the July twentieth fight herebetween these two is if Jake Paul wins
for the future of boxing. Becausehere's what can happen, right. Wrestling
does this all the time. Theyuse the term get over like you don't
beat somebody if you aren't somebody.Usually you see like the younger wrestlers defeat
(46:21):
the older wrestlers. So the futureis good altimate warrior versus Hull, Cogain,
Cody Rhodes versus rummen rings. Wesee examples of this through the course
of pro wrestling forever. But ifJake Paul, even though Tyson's fifty seven
years old, if Jake Paul andhis sanctioned pro boxing fight beats Tyson,
you know what the next step ishe's gonna a shot of title whatever weight
(46:42):
class he wants, he can killweight killed he beat Tyson. Like,
here's the thing. If Paul beatsTyson, I will be intrigued to whatever
belt it is, welterweight, junior, lightweight, have you, whatever he
wants to fight at. I willbe intrigued if somebody can beat Mike Tyson
for them to fight for a belt, And that's great for boxing. Now
if Tyson knocks out Paul, andlike, yeah, you're supposed to hear
(47:05):
Mike Tyson. Of course you knockout this YouTuber boy. He if he
wins, like, that's great forboxing because now you've got a star who
just loaded up Jerry's world fighting.Mike Tyson beat him in his twenties thirties.
So there's a little bit of methat wants Paul to win because I
think it's great for the sport ofboxing for the future. Frank Sanchez.
(47:27):
Do you have Frank Sanchez's uh nolace? Some have him as the tenth contender
for heavyweight boxing. Jared Anderson,Joe Joyce, Deontay Wilder, I know
him, uh, Philip Hagroik ZielaZang Joseph Parker, I know him,
(47:50):
Anthony Joshua, Oh yeah, AlexanderUsik, oh yeah, Tyson Fury,
I know all those guys. Atthe end, Tyson beats Paul, he
gets one of those guys he not, he gets one of those you's not.
I'll give it to him one time, one time, goo pull old
George Foreman. The George Foreman thinkis hard for younger sports and even people
(48:15):
in my age to realize how thehell the Foreman thing happened, because doesn't
that fight go like Foreman is gettingdominated and he just has one punch and
just chaosm and wins like he reallywasn't looking good in that fighting. Larry
Holmes is somewhere involved here. Ithink, like Larry Holmes beat him,
like Larry Holmes is forty eight,no, and he was gonna hit Marciano's
forty nine. And I know weonly have a few minutes here, but
(48:36):
I'm sure someone older than me knowsthe homes Foreman connection there of what happened.
No, I don't think Tyson wouldget anyway shot. Tyson Fury is
having his own issues staying healthy, let alone fighting Mike Tyson. I'm glad
You're more interested though, that wasthe point of that question. You are
more interested, which makes it ifit's just a If it's just just an
(48:58):
exhibition, Tyson's care. They dancearound, they take them good shots at
each other. They both get paidin there out the door. Right.
The fact that it's sanctioned, Tysoncannot lose a section fight to Jake Paul.
It ruins his legacy. Jake Paul'sa freaking joke. He has never
fought a real boxer. He's foughtmixed martial artists who have decent hands.
(49:22):
He's fought social media stars who callthemselves boxers. Fifty seven year old Mike
Tyson is is the boxer that willend this. This is all over,
Thank God, no more of thiscrap. Let's be done with it.
How about let's be done with theshow. You ready to talking about friends
over Mohawks Jeffer Leah, Sorry Ihad to cough. I would love to
(49:45):
tell you about Mohawks Chevrolet. Iwas having a great conversation with our quarterback
Jake Medlock last night. He's abig Silverado guy like I am. Where

about dude things. And I waslike, you know Andy, and uh
is you know, part owner ofMohawk Chevrolet, right, And he goes,
I do know that. I'm like, tell me, you're another one
(50:05):
who who's here because you know yougot you know, the Chevy, the
power of Chevy goes, you know, I know the guy makes good decisions.
I was like, yeah, right. So it's just it's funny to
me how many like people are likemyself, where it's like, oh,
you like something. I like you'regood at something. I'm good at I
like you. The people at MohawksChevrolet are great at getting you into the
vehicle you're looking for, helping withthe financing. The finance department at Mowaks

uh and here I go. Everybody, have a great night, wash your

five nine. Push that button.
