of the two teams. The AlbanyEmpire is where it was one of the
games that we were there for intwenty one that they announced that team,
which at that point was the warBirds, was going to be joining the
league we were in, and theownership there and the ownership here which has

changed slightly, we became we becamefriendly and we talked about, you know,
how we would do it and allthese other things. Now here we
are where we're both in the AFL, different Firebirds, Desert Hawks, Jonathan
Bayne, former Empire, Calvin Fance, like Kenny, so many guys and

then guys that like were villains tous. Lannie Outlaw, the big tall
wide receiver, Devin Wilson, thebig tall wide receiver who both always went
against us. You know, Outlawwith Columbus and then I think he was
with Carolina, and then Devin Wilsonwas with Jacksonville for a lot of his
career. This team was really,really good, and we knew this was

gonna be a fight. The fireBirds knew it was gonna be a fight,
full confidence we would win the thing. Nobody knew that we were gonna
score our first point on the openingkickoff with a rouge, which is they
can't get out of the end zone. They field it in the end zone,
they can't get out of the endzone. You tackle them in there,
you get a point. So ifone nothing, it was like a

minute and a half later they score. If even yes, the Firebirds did
not lead again with time on theclock because while time is expiring, we

have ever attended. Unless your memoryis better than mine, I never even
remember a three point play being attempted. These came from the CIF roll book.
Okay, let alone a four pointplay correct. So in the CIF
rule book, and again we hadthere was six or so teams that came
from the CIF, the Continental IndoorFootball League, whatever the hell it is.

You can go for two from whereyou kick it. You can go
for three from five yards back,or you can go for four from ten
yards back, and if you completethat pass or run or whatever and you
score, you get four points fromten yards back. The beauty of the

officials were not lined up properly,so one of the officials was too close
to the West Texas bench, right, is that what happened? Well,
then we were told that West Texascalled the time out. Okay, but

that's what we thought it was.But I think he was over there because
Chris Siegfried, who is the headcoach for West Texas. I think he
wanted to try and ice Mark Rosco, our kicker, So I think that's
why he was like, don't doit yet, don't do it yet,
go call the time out. AndRosco did kick the football. So when

the whistle was blown, if mymemory serves correct, the ball was in
the air right, So the ballis like no, no, no,
I think I'm actually wrong about that. The ball was the whistle I believe
started right before his foot hit theball, but right because again I think
I think Safrey was trying to icehim. If you watch it back on
you YouTube, the sound of thewhistle doesn't come through the broadcast, so

the full kick goes through, soAndrew calls it like, okay, now
it's a dead ball. Right fromthat perspective, it's like whoa wait a
second, all but he's got another. And then of course the one the
walk off and everything. Yeah,the rouge where you hit, you hit

went by one with the walkoff score, so the first and last point of

the game were rouges and uh andin one other part, I got id
real quick on that four point play. Seven seconds did run off the clock,
so run from eleven seconds to fourseconds. A lot of times that
outdoor football, those are untimed downs. So if the clock doesn't go to
four seconds, Albany would have hadto play defense one more time against West

Texas. It was, I mean, it was, it was amazing.

you know Chris sick Free, thecoach for West Texas, who was the
commissioner of the NAL, not theCIF he flied outside, Hey, I
guess that that got passed me inthe rule book. And the reason that
I don't I wouldn't crush him forthat is simply put like I didn't know

if they changed it, because wetalked about getting rid of it. Because
there was the point when the firstrule book came out this year everybody fought
for what they were used to right. So like the CIF guys all fought
for their rules, the NAL guysoff, we were basically fully transitioned to
AFL already, so we were fightingfor AFL rules. There was a point

where when the first time that weall got together and heard what the head
of officials and everything said, itwas, Hey, there's rules in here
who actually kind of contradict each other. So we're gonna sit down and go
through it again, and it youknow it was you had to really really
look and read the verbiage to seethat. But that was the very first
rule book, So like that changed, so I thought a lot of that

stuff fell out. And again lastweek we went from Ironman football to unlimited
substitution because we were pretty much unbeatable. If you want, if you stayed
iron Man, we we are theWe were built so perfectly for iron Man
football that I feel like that's whythey changed it, because we're the only
team that was built perfectly for it. That also was a huge factor in

the second half too, like thatiron Man's storyline felt to be the storyline
of that game early on. OfWait a second, all, but if
they had the iron Man rules,would have a second half comeback like they
did against the Orlando and Nashville.Wait a second, different rules. This
is going to be far harder ifa comeback because of the league structure.
Now right, everybody's fresh. We'rebuilt for it. We're you know we
