It's Levak and Guz on ninety fiveto nine Fox Sports Radio Monday Edition.
It's a Monday Monday. Like Ijust I was talking to a couple different
people today. Everybody was like Islept fine, but I feel like like
dookie, like I just feel slowtoday. I think everybody's going a low
case to the Mondays. Uh.Yeah, I don't know. I figured

(00:23):
this out. I've learned this, and I don't want to say who taught
me this. But if you figureout vacation a certain way, this time
between mid May and July fourth canbe maximized because now you've got Juneteenth,
now you've got Memorial Day, you'vegot July fourth. So if you figure
out a certain way to manipulate this, like you can go six weeks without
working a full week, now Fridayhere, take a Monday there, save

(00:47):
your holidays. There's accounts out there. Do you notice that there's a counts
on the internet that actually do themath for you now of what's the best
way to maximize your vacation time,Like, IY only taking four days to
get nine days off, that's prettycool. Yeah, I would you have
to you wouldn't have to know thename of those not a fan. Typical
guys gives us such a great leadin and then doesn't have it doesn't payoff.

(01:11):
Oh dare you speaking about that?I was gonna lead off here with
presidential music, because let's do apresidential address about the Albandy fires A ton
back. I thought you guys hadan away game. You did. A
ton happened over the last two daysinvolving the Arena Football League and the Albandy
Firebird franchise. I don't have themusic, so I'll just internew you see

(01:33):
a presidential address, Why don't youlead off before you take questions from the
media. Me. I mean,we won another game seventy three seventy over
the West Texas Desert Hawks. Itwas it. It was entirely too close.
It was one of those games whereyou I sat there and I watched
it. I thought to myself, this is this is the statement game for

(01:53):
the season. This is where everythingworks. Get out to an eighteen to
nothing lead with like less than fourminutes off the clock. You know,
touchdowns, touchdowns, more touchdowns,Deuce is getting kicked. Everything was everything
was great, everything was phenomenal. We let him back in the game,
had to hold him off, gotdone in overtime as we do, got

(02:14):
the w again, and well theyfired their coach afterwards. Yeah. I
wasn't going to start there, butyou just set me up for that.
Okay. So Chris Siegfried, whois the former commissioner, the last time
the Albany Empire won national right, the last time the Albany Empire won a
championship was in twenty twenty two whenhe was the commissioner. He came to

(02:37):
the Capital Region, he was givingthe speeches, doing the interviews, running
the show. Drops the suit andtie for the ball cap and polo how
I phrased this the way I want? Uh, you know, we'll just
do it. Let's do it thisway. Is there anything more to that
story that you know of? Becauseto me, watching West Texas play you

(02:58):
could make a case they had allme be at least once, and West
Texas fan can argue maybe twice sobecause they lost to the best team in
heartbreaking fashion twice. Yet there's stilla playoff contender that's worthy of getting fired
for. It seems confusing to me. I would think there might be a
dust up with ownership or management orpricing or something with the locker room.

(03:22):
I know that's a lot of scandalousstuff I'm turning out there, but is
it at least safe to say theremight be something else besides the actual coaching
on the field that might have causedthis, or you maybe don't know out
I don't, I don't have Idon't have inside information on this one,
but I will. I mean, you kind of said it, like,
can you imagine having this team thatyou have, because West Texas is the

(03:42):
hell of a team, like they'rein my in my opinion, you know,
obviously Aubany's not. If I wasdoing my power rankings right now,
Albany's number one, Orlando or WestTexas I still have fighting for number two
even with their records. Then it'sthen it's Billings than Nashville or Natural than
Billings, pending up on how youwant to look at it, and then
it's everybody else, Like it's everybodyelse. So you've got this super strong

(04:06):
team that you built, it's it'sa really well built team, it's a
well coached team, but you losetwo to Albaney that you you feel like
you should have won, And thenI don't feel like sick Freed did himself,
and he favors after that first losswhere he publicly stated that he didn't
know there was a four point conversion, like you don't want your head coach

(04:28):
to not know the rules, andand I like, you know, listen,
he's an honest guy. He's We'vehad our differences in the past,
but I hate seeing him get fired. But uh, if you know,
if that one hundred percent is thecase, yeah you get fired. But
like, you can't do that.You can't, you can't. You can't
go out and say, oh,man, I was unprepared for that game.
It's going to keep your job.So right now, if from what

(04:49):
I'm hearing, if the playoffs startedtoday, West Texas is definitively on the
outside looking at it. Do weknow if he's also the general manager of
the team. And I asked thatquestion because if a new GM and a
new head coaches hired mid season, which is very rare in professional sports,
but that's going to have to happen, someone's either going to take the interim

(05:10):
tag or someone's gonna take the intermGM tag. I would assume, Okay,
West Texas has decided they want togo in a different direction. They
obviously have two pass to go.One, continue to compete for a championship,
which is the rare side of whata coach gets fired because usually record
wise a team is no longer competitive, not the case here for West Texas.
And Two, if you have acoach who has its own style of

(05:30):
off it's a defense they want tobring in their own style of player.
I think you see where I'm goingwith this. If they hire somebody to
replace both of those roles, wouldn'tthis team be the most likely team active
at the deadline or trading players ormoving rosters. Is he the GM?
I guess they should go back tothat question. Do we know if he
was the decision maker on the team. I don't think he had the title
of GM, But based on thetalent that was on the team, I

(05:51):
would say he had a lot tosay about it. Yeah, there are
a lot of guys that he knewwell. And again, talent, why
the team is right there? Likeit's right there, Like I mean,
obviously we had to pull off twomiracles to beat their butts, like you
know what I mean. So it'slike it is what it is. But
he I don't I don't know who'sin charge of this point. Like on

(06:13):
their website, he's the only onelisted. Like I know some of the
guys in the coaching staff through ourguys, but like no, I don't.
I don't know will they make willthey make changes? Probably? I
mean why wouldn't you. Whoever comesin is going to have their favorites,
I would think. But if youjust promote from within two I maybe say
the same because you believe what youhave. But it's it'll it remains me

(06:34):
seen. But the it's we.We are going through a gauntlet this season
of who we're playing and when we'replaying them. So if you told me
that we because these other teams areavoiding us at all costs, we are

(06:56):
able to keep the West Texas,Nashville, maybe even the Orlandos of the
world out of the postseason. Okay, I'll do my playoffs now, because
that's basically what we're doing. Ifyou look at if you look at the
Firebirds schedule, almost every game isa playoff game, almost every single game.
We've had one game that we wouldhave been favored by probably thirty five

(07:18):
points and we covered it. Everyother game has been has been a playoff
game. Depending how this lays outhere just going through the schedule, and
I know it's a little different combinationwith some teams playing more games than other
teams. How I see the playoffsplaying out would be this, Let Orlando
and Albody play this weekend. Albany'sundefeated. If they lose this game,

(07:43):
we'll just play this set. Okay, Albody somehow gets upset by Orlanta,
which was a great game to startoff the season, they'd have one loss
and they have the ability, rightand the Billions Outlaws have one loss at
this point. That would set upa June twenty second game in Montanne that
you would assume the winner of thatgame would win the regular season. Because

(08:05):
if Billions wins their next game andthey have one loss going into the final
game, and Albany has one lossgoing into that game, then the winner
of that game would have the tiebreaker. They'd go on to the final week,
and even if both teams lost,Billions would have the tiebreaker over Albany.
With two losses, they'd be thenumber one seed. Again, that's
assuming a lot happened. They'd assumeAlbody would lose their last three games and
everything else. But you could alsohave a scenario where Albany wins, Billions

(08:28):
wins, and then Billions and Albodyplay each other in Montana on the twenty
second, the Outlaws win and they'dboth have one loss, and then they'd
still have the advantage. Now I'msaying all these things out loud, assuming
that's how the playoff scenario would go, team with the best record would host
that have a home playoff game, they potentially could face off again in the
Arena Football League Championship? Am Imaking too many presumptions here about how the

(08:52):
playoff format would be and where thegames would be in, how seeding would
go, or is I'm hearing whatI'm hearing right now? This is and
this is not one hundred percent guarantee. But if you look on the THEAFL
dot com you'll see this Five wouldplay four for the right to play one.
One would then the following weekend hostfour. Two would host three,

(09:13):
and then the championship game would bebetween the two winners. That's what I'm
hearing. So five teams would havethe chance to play after the season one,
you know, four place five todecide who gets to play one hang
out hang out hang on four plays, So five teams that make the postseason
four to play five winner would playone two versus three, and then the
championship would be the winner of thosefinal two games. Okay, okay,

(09:37):
So that means there would be abye week for the first three seeds,
the top three seeds. Yeah, they would all get by weeks. So
two and three would be sitting thereand knowing they're playing each other, preparing
for each other the whole time. One actually, if you think about it,
doesn't have as much of an advantageas two because one is now waiting

(09:58):
to see who they're gonna play. But then if we to get ready for
him, and that team didn't haveto play an extra game. So but
either way, again, I don'tknow how it's gonna shake out. I
don't obviously, But if the seasonended today, we would be the one
seed, Billings would be the twoseed, so Line would be the three
seed, and then Orlando would playSouthwest Kansas to decide who would get the

(10:22):
playoffs. Did you mention location? The last I heard, high seeds will
host playoff games, not championship game. Championship game is still up in the
air. I don't like that though. Well, like I said, I
don't. I don't, And againthis is all hearsay could move. The

(10:43):
only reason I feel like remotely confidenceis if you go if you click on
schedule on the on the thefl dotcom uh, you can there there's a
the playoffs show up? We did? I don't know. Maybe the reason
I'm pushing back a little bit onthis is because you know, about a
month ago I requested on this showthat they don't do that, that they

(11:05):
don't make it a neutral site becauseit's harder fans to buy tickets, and
flights will be more expensive and hotelrooms will be more expensive. When you
get to that, if it wastwenty twenty five and you named Vegas or
Atlantic City or Orlando, whatever,Hey, this place is gonna be the
home for the Arena FOOTA leagu championship, then you can market that within the
market and have casual fans from thecity. I asked for that. Why

(11:26):
was I ignored? That's what I'llsay? Who who? All you?
This is a question for coach ware. But I have the team president here
and I like doing these presidential addresses, and I'm sure Flock University, which
will air Saturday morning back and it'sa regular scheduled time at nine o'clock and
coach where because of our schedule thisweek is scheduled Jonas on Friday. What

(11:48):
is the status of Malie Henry Uh, a quarterback who could potentially be the
starter for the Firebirds. For thosewho didn't catch the news last week,
these last I saw because of certainthings. We we actually have room for
all three on a roster at thismoment, and they'll compete. That's that's
last. Like right now, we'rea little banged up, like we've we've

(12:11):
been playing a gauntlet, like wehave not had an easy week. We
really haven't. Even the Southwest Kansasgame. People got beat up. We
got guys who are you know, little Bruce, little ding Lil Dnnet.
They need some time. He's gonnaget to compete for the job. From
the way I understand it, Butas of right now, we have room
for three. So we're gonna enjoythe luxury of having three quarterbacks on the
staff. I'll wait for coach wearfor it later this week. Go ahead.

(12:35):
I mean like he knows more thanI do about it. I don't
handle the I don't handle the actualroster. I my my job is to
make sure he has what he needsto handle the roster. That's what I
do, so I don't give meanswers. Uh, Malie Henry is a
member of the Albany Firebirds. That'sright. We're happening to have very quiet

(12:56):
guy quiet. That's more of aquestion. That probably interesting Tillo, Brian
Marianna. Who are gonna be onthe call this. We're gonna have to
figure out who's going to get themost snaps? How I get some of
its practice, some of it's adjustingthe offense. There's a lot that goes
into this. But I think coachWaer understood that was gonna be a challenge.
So the undefeated league leaning al ManyFirebirds will potentially have a quarterback change

(13:16):
with Jake Medlock, deal with someinjuries and more. The playoffs seem to
be five seeds. That was ahuge win for West Texas, who you
could argue has been one of themost competitive teams against the Firebirds and almost
pulled off a come from behind upstfired their head coach. Did I miss
anything that we need to talk about? I feel like I had covered up
just about everything well for the league, for the league and the Firebirds.

(13:37):
I mean that's a lot of storylinescoming out of a mid season game.
Team coaches fired, playoffs, neutralsites, quarterbacks changing, maybe not changing,
maybe not changing. How about theleague itself? Jerry Kurz is now
the senior advisor two league Player OperationsGeneral Counsel's a. He was a stalwart

(14:00):
back in the glory days of theAFL, and now Gary Compton is the
director of football Operations. He andI had a nice conversation on Friday.
We're gonna work together. He's gonnabe the leader and I'm gonna help wherever
I can. And then we justfound out that Tracy Leaning is the President
of Football Administration. So the frontoffice finally coming together. We got people

(14:24):
kind of actually have a league office. Something I'm new to me. You
know, you said, the poorguy who got canned down in West Texas
was the entire league office for meback in the day. So it's kind
of neat, kind of neat seeingit come together and flesh out and look
a little more a little stable.Titles are weird Sometimes I don't know what
they mean, and I honestly,I'm not trying to be mean about that

(14:46):
guy's position. I don't know whatthat means which one general counsel. Like
when I hear that, I thought, like that's a lawyer. Yeah,
okay, no, but I thinkno, I think it's basically he's gonna
he advises Jeff Fisher and the leagueon what to do and went on to
do like like he's seen it.He's seen almost everything, because again he
was he was a huge part ofthe original AFL. So what he's what

(15:07):
he does is he says, don'tdo that. Well that's a good idea,
Hey try this. We didn't trythis before. Uh So yeah,
no, he's so basically almost likea like a deputy commissioner. It's kind
of what I view it as now. Like I said, I talked to
Gary Compton already. These guys hadon a shoulder. He played in the
AFL, he coached in the AFL, he's been an administrator. Uh,

(15:31):
he's somebody that works well with withJerry Currz already. So talked like I
said, talk to him on Friday. He's uh, seems like a nice
guy. He he got me though, because when I called him on Friday,
his voicemail beaped, So I startedleaving with a voicemail. Somehow he
answered right when it was beeping,So like I'm going through my spiel,

(15:52):
like, hey, Jeff, withthatack? How many firebirds? Anything?
You guys need let me know.I got a couple of requests from me,
just want let you know if hey, I'm here. Wait what huh?
I heard a beep? Yeah?Sorry about that. I don't know
how that happened. How you doing? I don't know how you did it?
See magician. It'll be funny.I might do that to people in
the future. Just get a littlebeep sound and then like when when you

(16:12):
answer, beep it and then ifthey start talking you don't like what they
have to say, you just sitthere quietly like it's a voicemail. And
if you do like that, Hey, what's going I'm here, I'm here,
what's going on? I'm here? What do you What do you got?
It's a smart move. I learnedsomething from Gary already. I have
no further questions. I said that. I have about ninety five questions like

(16:36):
is he magician? Is he knowhow to do tricks? Is he have
everyone's phone staped? What does hedo for a living? I'm just glad
the arena football lea. Here's whatI like that when you Google, when
you go on social media, whenyou have conversations about the Arena Football League,
there are people from a month agothat are looking for dirty nonsense scandal
and that has gone further and furtherdown the headlines and actual football is being

(16:56):
talked about now. It's yeah,it's it's it's been a it's been a
little wonkey to start the season. But here we go. You know what
I mean. We got the schedulesout. We've got to run to the
finish if we can. If wecan go ahead and win, I think
we need to win two more tolock up the top seed, just because
it's twenty percent inches involved. Butwe're pretty much gonna have a home playoff

(17:21):
game. It feels like knock onone. That's again, this is what
I know. Things change all thetime. There was a time when I
thought I would be running stuff forthe league that was not that turned out
to not be true. Uh,but but here we but here we are,
you know, and here we are. We're having We're gonna go.
We're gonna We're gonna win everything.That's what I want. We're gonna win
so much and get tired of winning. I don't know who's said that.
Sorry, it's like I said,it's it's just cool. It's good.

(17:45):
These are these are these are bigbrain dudes who know a lot about indoor
football. So we're gonna we're gonna, uh, We're gonna have some fun

(19:12):

some complaints about the Bellmont and I'mshocked. I am shocked when you found
out door Knock was Mage's brother. What happened? Then we're gonna talk about
that next. It's Levakan Guz onninety five nine Fox Sports Radio Monday edition

just promote from within two I maybesay the same. You believe what you
have. But it's it remains meseen. But the it's we We are
going through a gauntlet this season ofwho we're playing and when we're playing them.
So if you told me that webecause these other teams are avoiding us

(26:21):
at all costs, we are ableto keep the West Texas, Nashville,
maybe even the Orlandos of the worldout of the postseason. Okay, I'll
do my playoffs now, because that'sbasically what we're doing. If you look
at if you look at the Firebirdsschedule, almost every game is a playoff
game. Almost every single game. We've had one game that we would have

(26:45):
been favored by probably thirty five points, and we covered it. Every other
game has been has been a playoffgame, depending how this lays out here
just going through the schedule, andI know it's a little different combination with
some teams playing more games than theirteams. How I see the playoffs playing
now would be this. Let Orlandoand Albany play this weekend. Albany's undefeated.

(27:08):
If they lose this game, we'lljust play this set. Okay,
Albody somehow gets upset by Orlanta, which was a great game to start off
the season, they'd have one lossand they have the ability. Right the
Billions Outlaws have one loss at thispoint, that would set up a June
twenty second game in Montana that youwould assume the winner of that game would

(27:30):
win the regular season. Because ifBillions wins their next game and they have
one loss going into the final game, and Albany has one loss going into
that game, then the winner ofthat game would have the tiebreaker that'd go
on to the final week. Andeven if both teams lost, Billions would
have the tiebreaker over Albandy with twolosses, they'd be the number one seed.
Again, that's assuming a lot happen. They'd assume Albody would lose their

(27:51):
last three games and everything else. But you could also have a scenario where
Albany wins, Billions wins, andthen Billions and Albody play each other in
Montana on the twenty second, theOutlaws win and they'd both have one loss,
and then they'd still have the advantage. Now I'm saying all these things
out loud, assuming that's how theplayoff scenario would go. Team with the
best record would host that have ahome playoff game. They potentially could face

(28:15):
off again in the Arena Football LeagueChampionship? Am I making too many presumptions
here about how the playoff format wouldbe and where the games would be and
how seeding would go or is determined? That what I'm hearing right now,
this is and this is not onehundred percent guarantee, But if you look
on the THEAFL dot com you'll seethis five would play four for the right
to play one. One would thenthe following weekend host four, two would

(28:40):
host three, and then the championshipgame would be between the two winners.
That's what I'm hearing. So fiveteams would have the chance to play after
the season one, you know, four place five to decide who gets to
play one hang out, hang out, hang on four play, So five
teams would make the postseason four toplay five winner would play one two versus
three, and then the championship wouldbe the winner of those final two games.

(29:03):
Okay, okay, So that meansthere would be a bye week for
the first three seeds, the topthree seeds, Yeah, they would all
get by weeks. So two andthree would be sitting there and knowing they're
playing each other, preparing for eachother the whole time. One actually,
if you think about it, doesn'thave as much of an advantage as two

(29:23):
because one is now waiting to seewho they're gonna play, But then they
have a week to get ready forhim, and that team didn't have to
play an extra game. So buteither way, again, I don't know
how it's gonna shake out. Idon't obviously, But if the season ended
today, we would be the oneseed, Billys would be the two seed,

(29:45):
so Line would be the three seed, and then Orlando would play Southwest
Kansas to decide who would get theplayoffs. Did you mention location? The
last I heard high seeds will hostplayoff game. It's not a championship game.
Championship game is still up in theair. Ooh, I don't like
that though, well I like that, I don't And again, this is

(30:07):
all hearsay could move. The onlyreason I feel remotely confidence is if you
go, if you click on scheduleon the on the thefl dot com,
you can there's a the playoffs showup. We did? I don't know.
Maybe the reason I'm pushing back alittle bit on this is because you

(30:30):
know, about a month ago Irequested on this show that they don't do
that, that they don't make ita neutral site because it's harder to fans
to buy tickets, and flights willbe more expensive and hotel rooms will be
more expensive. When you get tothat, if it was twenty twenty five
and you named Vegas or Atlantic Cityor Orlando, whatever, Hey, this
place is gonna be the home forthe arena FOOTBA leagu Championship, then you
can market that within the market andhave casual fans from the city. I

(30:52):
asked for that. Why was Iignored? That's what I'll say? Who
who? You? This is aquestion for coach ware. But I have
the team president here and I likedoing these presidential addresses. And I'm sure
Flock University, which will air Saturdaymorning back and it's a regular scheduled time
at nine o'clock. And Coach wherebecause of our schedule this week is scheduled

(31:14):
the Jonas on Friday. What isthe status of Malie Henry uh, a
quarterback who could potentially be the starterfor the Firebirds? For those who didn't
catch the news last week, he'slast I saw because of certain things.
We actually have room for all threeon a roster at this moment, and
they'll compete. That's that's last.Like right now, we're a little banged

(31:37):
up, like we've been playing agaonlet like we have not had an easy
week. We really haven't. Eventhe Southwest Kansas game. People got beat
up. We got guys who were, you know, little bruised, little
dingle dnnett. They need some time. He's gonna get to compete for the
job from the way I understand it, But as of right now, we
have room for three, so we'regonna enjoy the luxury of having three quarterbacks
on the staff. I'll wait forCoach war for it later this week.

(32:01):
Go ahead, I mean, likehe knows more than I do about it.
I don't handle the I don't handlethe actual roster. I my my
job is to make sure he haswhat he needs to handle the roster.
That's what I do, So Idon't give me answers. Uh, maliek
Henry is a member of the ALMNYFirebirds. That's all right. We're happened

(32:22):
to have very quiet guy quiet. That's more of a question that probably interest
Santillo Brian Mariana. Who are gonnabe on the call this. We're gonna
have to figure out who's gonna getthe most snaps how I get. Some
of it's practice, some of it'sadjusting the offense. There's a lot that
goes into this. But I thinkcoach Ware understood that was gonna be a
challenge. So the undefeated league leaningal Many Firebirds will potentially have a quarterback

(32:45):
change with Jake Medlock, deal withsome injuries and more. The playoffs seem
to be five scenes. That wasa huge win for West Texas, who
you could argue has been one ofthe most competitive teams against the Firebirds and
almost pulled off a come from behindupset fired their head coach. Did I
miss it anything that we need totalk about. I feel like I covered
up just about everything well for forthe league, for the league and the

(33:05):
fires. I mean, that's alot of storylines coming out of a mid
season game. Team coaches fired, playoffs, neutral sites, quarterbacks changing,
maybe not changing, maybe not changing. How about the league itself. Jerry
Kurz is now the senior advisor tothe league player Operations General Counsel. He's

(33:25):
a he's a he was a stalwartback in the glory days of the AFL,
and now Gary Compton is the directorof Football Operations. He and I
had a nice conversation on Friday. We're gonna work together. He's gonna be
the leader and I'm gonna help whereverI can. And then we just found
out that Tracy Leaning is the presidentof Football Administration. So the front office

(33:50):
finally coming together. We got peoplethat actually have a league office, something
I'm as new to me. Youknow, you said, the poor guy
who got canned down in West Texaswas the entire league office for me back
in the day. So it's kindof neat, kind of neat scene to
come together and flesh out look alittle more a little stable. Titles are
weird sometimes I don't know what theymean. I honestly, I am not

(34:13):
trying to be mean about that guy'sposition. I don't know what that means,
which one general counsel. Like whenI hear that, I thought,
like that's a lawyer. Yeah, okay, no, but I think no,
I think it's basically he's gonna headvises Jeff Fisher in the league on
what to do and went on todo like like he's seen it. He's
seen almost everything because again he washe was a huge part of the original
AFL. So what he's what hedoes is he says, don't do that.

(34:37):
Well that's a good idea. Heytry this. We didn't try this
before. Uh so yeah, No, he's so basically almost like a like
a deputy commissioner. It's kind ofwhat what I view it as. Like
I said, I talked to GaryCompton already. He's guys had on a
shoulder. He played in the AFL, he coached in the AFL, he's

(34:57):
been an administrator. He's somebody thatworks well with with Jerry Currz already.
So talked to like said, talkto him on Friday. He's, uh
seems like a nice guy. Hehe got me though, because when I
called him on Friday, his voicemailbeeped, so I started leaving the voicemail.
Somehow he answered right when it wasbeeping, so like, I'm going

(35:19):
through my spiel, like, hey, Jeff withlack, how many firebirds?
Anything you guys need let me know. I got a couple of requests from
me. Just want to let youknow. Hey, I'm here. Wait
what huh? I heard a beep? Yeah? Sorry about that. I
don't know how that happened. Howyou doing? I don't know how you
do it. It would be funny. I might do that to people in
the future. Just get a littlebeep sound and then like when they when

(35:40):
you answer, beep it. Andthen if they start talking you don't like
what they have to say, justsit there quietly like it's a voicemail.
And if you do like that,Hey, what's going I'm here, I'm
here, what's going on? I'mhere? What do you? What do
you got? It's a smart move. It's a little that's I learned something
from Gary already. I have nofurther ques questions. I accept that I

(36:00):
have about ninety five questions like ishe magic? Shit? Does he know
how to do tricks. Does hehave everyone's phone stap? What does he
do for a living? I'm justglad the Arena Football League. Here's what
I like that when you Google, when you go on social media, when
you have conversations about the Arena FootballLeague, there are people from a month
ago that are looking for dirty nonsensescandal, and that has gone further and

(36:22):
further down the headlines and actual footballis being talked about now. It's yeah,
it's it's been a little wonkey tostart the season. But here we
go. You know what I mean. We got the schedules out. We've
got to run to the finish ifwe can. If we can go ahead
and win, I think we needto win two more to lock up the

(36:43):
top seed, just because it's twentypercent inches involved. But we're pretty much
gonna have a home playoff game.It feels like knock on one. That's
again, this is what I know. Things change all the time. There
was a time when I thought Iwould be running stuff for the league that
was not That turned out to notbe true. But but here we but
here we are, you know, and here we are. We're having We're
gonna go We're gonna We're gonna wineverything. That's what I want. We're

(37:06):
gonna win so much and gets tiredof winning. I don't know who's said
that. I'm sorry. Uh,it's like I said, it's it's just
cool. It's good. These arethese are these are big brain dudes who
know a lot about indoor football. So we're gonna we're gonna, uh,
we're gonna have some fun tomorrow. We're gonna fuck over at Mohawkan. Yes,
I love Mohawkana. Shout out toMohawkan and everybody over there, cannot
wait. We are broadcasting live threeto six. I believe we're gonna be

(37:28):
back in the showroom. They're calledthe renovations and more. Shout out to
Camic kind of text me over theweekend, want to make sure everything's going
well at the ride. I didforget something in mohawk Kana. Thank you
for constantly reminding me, and wouldone of the keys vehicle if but I
don't lose that between now and thetime we get to Mohawkank. But if
I do, we're gonna make sureI'm okay. Shout out to everybody over
there. From John and service toGreg Johnson who you hear more and more

(37:51):
here on Fox Sports ninety five ninenine eighty doing some great ways in what
she's talking about, the EV prologueand more Lindsay Harridon, the entire team.
It's one of my favorite places,if not my favorite police to do
a broadcast from me, because youcould truly see that when you stop in
for a year or two years,or three years, or however long you
have your wonderful vehicle for mohaw Kana, people remember you. They want to
check up on you, or theywant to make sure everything's good. And

(38:14):
whether it's a brother or a sister, a family member, whoever it might
be, You're gonna continue to goback to mohawkan It because it's people that
you trust during the carbine experience. We know from experience we've had it happen
for us. My wife loves herOdyssey, I love my CRV. It's
mohawk Kanda where they always go outof their way to please you. Coming
up next, we cover the Idon't know what we're covering it, but
we're gonna cover it. It felltto here and now it shall be made

(38:37):
public. I have an idea ofwhat we should cover was that maybe we
should talk about the Bellmont. Imean, that's not un till next year.
I have some complaints about the Bellmontand I'm shocked. I am shocked
when you found out door Knock wasMage's brother. What happened? Then we're
gonna talk about that next. It'slove Akin Guz on the Voice of the
Capitol Regions sports fan Fox Sports ninetyeight. It is time for that m

(39:07):
Everything it didn't get done in theshow today makes its way down here.
Interesting. We didn't do this onea little bit more upfront because it's kind
of the biggest news in the area. But shame shame on those two.
I mean, look, I blameyou. I'm not going to go I've
been very busy today. We lovethe Belmont Stakes. History is made over
the weekend, and I was like, are you guys serious You're talking about

(39:28):
the Belmont now? At five fortyish. We talked a lot about the
last three days right Thursday Saturday. We covered it a lot. We had
other stuff to get to today.I think that's a very valid excuse.
Over right, it's over. It'sover till next year. Johnny, And
did you really want to hear mecomplain. Is that what you wanted the

(39:50):
dump? Because here's the problem that'shappening now with big races, and it's
happening in me. I don't wantto say jinx. I think Jex is
too strong of the term. MatthewDesantas you I both like him. Naira
Bett's content producer Handy Capper. He'svery funny on social media, failed to
menace tag and I tagged him onSaturday. We enjoy his company. But

(40:12):
what has now happened is that everytime you and I see him for the
first day at Saratoga, I'm openingthe interview complaining about a horse. I
did it about four day back intwenty twenty three's Kentucky Derby. I let
off fierceness about this year's Kentucky Derby. And when I see him in July,
mark the calendar date down Friday,July eleventh. I don't want him

(40:32):
on the show. Before this,I'm gonna complain to him about mind frame.
We mac I've got the lead,I'm winning the race. I said,
Ted, are you sat there allweek and listen we complain about how
seven to two is not gonna begood off number? I talked myself into
it and down the stretch mind Framecomes. My son's watching the race,
Rex and wes. He's going, yay, Dad, where's the green horse?

(40:57):
Quiet? Caad Purple's what we Ididn't say that to him, but
he was cheering on the green mindFrame is winning Levac and he starts running
sideways. The hell happened? Allright? Well, two things I actually
know what happened. I've taken thetime to learn what happened. Irad or
Tease is left handed. Mind Framewas not used to the left handed whip

(41:22):
and what was the I don't rememberthe term close used, but so he
started wobbling to the other side.So that's that's what happened. I also
feel as though, given the opportunity, Mindframe could have corrected and won that
race, if you know, ifit was a quarter mile longer like it
normally is. That wasn't helpful forme, although it was a very insightful

(41:46):
answer and gave many other people thereason as to why they lost their wager.
That very well informed, and thatdoesn't make me feel any better.
But seriously, like, think aboutthat, if it was if we were
at the Pelmont, it's one anda half not one in a quarter.
It's extra couple extra fence posts rightthere, could have made a big difference
for you guys, our guy,the closer, Brian Mariano, I could

(42:08):
have sworn, he said a differenthorse on with us. I could have
sworn he gave us Sierra Leone's hispick and how he was gonna use everything.
Okay, he definitely yeah. Hehe was one of the first ones
to mention door knock to us.I just I was so bad, like
I I had, everything I hadwas mind framed Sierra Leone and the wine

(42:35):
Stewart. The wine Stewart came inninth, so no help there. If
if door Knock had fallen all theway out, I would have got the
exact which would have probably wouldn't havepaid that well. So so whatever,
no big deal there. I'll live. I'm not upset like about that.
But like I do want to pointout, I don't remember who it was.
I think, oh, I thinkit was. I think it was

(42:57):
Todd for the Star Chamber who saidresilient, not very resilient. It came
in tenth. Okay, that saidit's not good. The wine Stewart came
in ninth. That's what I expect, you're all boozed up. Mystic Dan.
Everything about Mystic Dan this weekend wasthat he was like rested, relaxed,
whatever. Clearly didn't wake up forthis race. He came in eighth,
going a nap on the courts.Seize the Gray comes in seventh.

(43:20):
Everybody was seized, the Grays havingthe best like lead up to a race
that's ever had. Well, No, that did not translate six protective and
whatever antiquarian, which I just soundsold to me. That's five four Honor
Marie. I did not hear anyonementioned Honor Marie the entire time we were
out there. No one mentioned ona Marie. So no one I know

(43:42):
has a super FACTA. Sierra Leonecomes in third, and like you know,
I I remember people telling us howfast Sierra Leone is. Sierra Leone
is so fast, but blah blahblah fast best now of a sudden while
the race was a little too fastfor Sierra Leo, what how how does

(44:05):
that work? And then mind frameanother one like super fast, but Sierra
Leone got bounced around coming out ofthe gate. Mind frame was uncomfortable with
the with the left handed whip doorknock. Gets it done, just gets
it done. I mean, that'sall there is to it. I got
done. Jason Worth making headlines, national headlines out there, the rated R
superstar, Jason Orth looking like Edgethe old days. Good for him.

(44:27):
I like his outfit. Happy hewon, made it interesting. I have
a good feeling though. Mark this. Mark this on the calendar as well.
I don't know who's keeping a calendartrack of Levak and Gous, but
if you are, I feel verygood about this summer. I feel like
my mind is in a good spot. Levak, you and I were cashing
tickets on Saturday. We were cashingtickets on Friday. Besides, I threw

(44:49):
all my money away, besides thosetwo horses for you on Saturday. I
feel like I'm a lot laser focused. This is a big year for us.
Did you know, by the way, I know your sched jewels kind
of we're off on different sides. The Leavac Race, the bosses know about
it today, the iHeartMedia all butthe Levak Race. They're very excited about
it. We do not invite.Would you mean they're not invited. I'm

(45:13):
not gonna. I don't I don'tneed the corporate brass, ruining my good
time. They want shots in theWinter Circle. Looks good for iHeartMedia.
When we're all out there, theywant to be Oh, that's what it
is. Okay, I see howit goes. You know, I just
want to put out I go,hey, let's let's let's negotiate contracts.
They don't know who I am allof a sudden, you know, through

(45:37):
sheer excellence, a little help fromCaddie Shack, Carl Spackler last year,
your boy, my boy who didn'tdo as well this year, and my
relationship with Tony Alvado. Now,all of a sudden, you now you
know me? Now you know me? Okay, all right, I'll tell
you what you guys can be inthe Winter Circle with us. One condition,
bring a new contract and add somezeros. How's that? Otherwise?

(46:00):
No picture for you, none foryou? How dare they? How dare
that? I thought they were offeredyou a compliment, They were excited here
to support you. Yeah, butyou nail that. They want to get
their picture taken with the winning horse, Chad Brown, maybe too, you
know, I don't listen. Idon't care who was in there, or
it would be funny if they didask you who's in the Levac race,

(46:22):
like you had to clear the horses. I don't know how it comes to
get I would It would be awesomeif it was like all like sports or
beer names, like booze names, you know what I mean, Like it's
like Whiskey Runner and the wine Stewartand this one and you know, Raider,
and like that would be great,Like if they did that. I

(46:43):
don't think I have that much powerthough, like I've I have enough power
to get us a race named afterus, I don't have enough power to
dictate who runs it, you know. And maybe it was the jockey race.
I could probably get a little Withgreat power comes great responsibility and hopefully
money like little little some for theeffort around here. You know. I'm
sorry, I don't remember the Quinnor can't a race Kevin or Tracy even

(47:07):
the great Jamie Roberts race. TheWise Owl doesn't have a race. I
have a race w G y DougDoug, no race for Doug. Joe
Gallagher may have had a race inthe past, I don't know. It's
been a long time. Yea thatwas like Model T's that wasn't horses that
was when the horses actually were transportation, so that doesn't count. No,
I just listen, I just youknow, you know, I'd like if

(47:30):
they I'd like if they, youknow, showed me the same respect that
Tony Alvanta Nirabete shows me, likemy name on a check. How about
that si a race? How woutwe go there? Well something some pretty
effort, so you know, butyou know what's gonna happen too, by
the way, right, No,I don't. They're gonna not give us.
They're not gonna want to give usthat day off. Oh no,
we're not getting the day off.We might actually work a double shift.

(47:52):
What are you talking abou I'm notworking on double shift. What are you
talking about? It's been talks ofus potentially working. I don't. We
are scheduled that day to be atRivers Casino Reserve. That is the start
of our season, opening day. We're scheduled to be at Rivers. We're
gonna be at Rivers. I can'tbe at Rivers. I got it in
my race. Then there's the problem. We might have a conflicted what times
the race go off? What's posttime? Are we the US only mid

(48:13):
card? I know? Are wegonna go from that race. We gotta
figure all this stuff out, youknow, are you gonna be there?
And I'm gonna be there? Idon't know. I'm going. I'm going
to the track. Are they gonnamove your race to Friday? I don't
very sick that day? Can Iask you one question though about your race?
Can I put one request? Whoever'scalling your race? Can they do

(48:35):
it in a British accent? Iheld this clip till all day. This
is how the Mets Phillies game Endedersare catching all those butts explodes. Are
they gonna get the river at home? They're gonna get the double play to
win the game? What an end? The shots at bet, the runner
arounds at home plates, then thebull fight into the club and the first

(48:55):
Basement takes amongs out and the NewYork thanks somehow we've stunned the Phillies rally.
And they went Game two in London, Ship tied seventeen hits? What
drawa what a kay? What afinish? Please? Please? I mean
that was good except for like,if you watch it on TV, you

(49:15):
got Michael Kay. Did you allthe Mets fans freaking out about that?
Michael Kay did the Saturday Yankee gameand then hopped across the pond and did
the Sunday Mets game on TV.Is a British accent? No, no,
just that's Michael Okay. So ifyou listen to the radio, you
got that dude fish and Chips bangusonmash pep a pig and then if you

(49:37):
live going going on the tall awkwardMichael Kay who art shaped head, whoever
associates with the Yankees. So Metsfans were all ticked off about that,
but listen it was It was afun, fun thing. That's that.
That's the excitement you need. Youneed in the English accident. The British
accident just sounds better. It does, it does. It was great.
I loved the call. I alsoliked the clip that was going viral.

(49:59):
Love Rob mclaney from It's Always Sunnyin Philadelphia. Did you see that with
d Aka's wife Caitlyn his wife,Yeah, doing the double play because the
old joke of that show is thathe wants to have a catch with Chase
Utley because he wrote him a noteas a child, but he was a
grown man. So they pulled thedouble play with Utley and Harper with Mac
obviously a big following out there becauseof the wrecksom stuff and everything else with

(50:22):
Ryan Reynolds. Yeah, I meanthat's he's international note we'ld on gosh,
I can't get to that show withoutlosing my without losing my ass? Was
that a throat pip? I reallycall it coff in Britain? A cough
I do a cough? Uh,sticky wicked. I got a call to
go back to the track on Saturday, and I was like, I can't.

(50:43):
If you saw what happened to mewhen I was towards the end,
what do you mean? What doyou mean A A friend of mine had
had really nice tickets. Oh,so they were like, hey, come
back, and I was like, you saw what just happened to me?
Because I was coughing and we mysnow, I was crying. It was
not everywhere, just pure allergies, like right away was bad. I was

(51:04):
like, I'm not coming back.A lot of people who live outside of
Albany. A lot of people inSyracuse were texting me like, hey,
how's the Belmont You enjoying it?What's going on? And I had to
fireback messages like I left a littleearlier. I think it was a risky
decision with a pregnant wife and twokids, to say, Hey, I'm
gonna be at the track for thirteenhours a week before I have a wedding
with my buddy's from back there.I didn't want to stay. Don't put

(51:24):
it on that I did want tostay, But I that's a risky decision.
I think I played it right.Well, does she do November?
Yeah, he got plenty of time, twenty of time. I didn't think
the kid was coming, levet.I didn't want the wrath of a pregnant
wife taking the day off thirteen hoursthe track the week before a wedding.

(51:44):
I got it a week before thein laws, a week before the vacation.
I gotta believe she'd viewsed a daylike that, like a break.
I gotta believe she's just like, all right, Thomas, see you tomorrow
after you know, because like Iimagine, when you're home, she now
has three kids to look at afterset of two, plus the butt in
the oven, She's probably yeah,no, no, please don't go.

(52:06):
No, no, I wish thatwas the case. Risky to say,
