Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's Lavak and Guz on ninety five nine Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
I knew you'd love j Cole eventually, even ha it
was Friday.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
I don't, It's just Friday. I love Friday. Hey, everybody,
it's Levac and guys. We're here in the GT Toys
the studio that's Toys with a Z because well we
would have needed to use the actual travers canoe to
get around the track. Today it's a it's it's a
rainy one and they actually shut the whole card down.
So normally on a Friday you would you'd hang with
(00:31):
jaboys up in Toga. Today just in your dashboard or
or wherever you listening to us.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Whether samples Spotify of the iHeart app driving across the
Capital region. Levak, you've been doing shows for more than
ten years, more than a decade. It's Sarahtoga on Fridays.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
Jesus, Well, not just sports, I mean twenty six years.
I mean it's I've always been We've always been there.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Okay, so twenty six years for me, I'm closer than
about eight or nine years. This is history for me today.
That shows the weather in the Capitol Region. I can
never remember a time since I've lived here in the
five twenty eight that the weather has impacted it so
much that we cannot go to the track. And by
the way, I would side with Nira because of how
wild the weather's been in because of the Hurricane Debbie
(01:14):
and everything else that's happening.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
Has this ever happened to you?
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Can you remember another time in your career where we
have been taking off the track for a Friday in
the summer because of weather?
Speaker 3 (01:22):
No? I mean, I know they've changed the time because
of heat and stuff, but not I don't remember this,
Like definitely a lot of scratches, different kinds of days,
stuff like that, but no, this is different. And look,
you're good. You know you got time, you got those
extra dark days, might as well use them. Good. Good
for Nira, Thanks for you know, letting me do the
(01:43):
show in the studio. It's a little easier for me,
you know, it makes my life easier. I'm not mad
about it, much.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Easier drive for you, a little closer, a little closer
to the house.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
So here's the deal. Just because it wasn't an horse
race doesn't mean it wasn't a horse in the race.
Last night, Baby Eric Gray, we both were waiting for
different rookies to pop off. It wasn't a rookie, but
it was a guy with limited experience in the pros.
Eric Gray running back for the giant story of the
(02:13):
game last night, probably the story of the preseason so far,
the most exciting player of the preseason so far. Yeah,
free games.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
I would say Eric Gray had a moment last night
where I had to take a step back and say,
he has been the name that's jumped out to me
to the preseason that looked in three games in the
Hall of Fame game we could come back on.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
Actually not even three games because the Hall of Fame
game didn't eve play the fourth quarter.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
So okay, two and a half gigs. Yes, you know what,
Eric Gray, have a day, have a moment. Look on
Sports Center, look on the vac guys, listen to the
people are talking about you today. There are two things
that are gonna happen to mister Gray. Two extremes.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
Okay, sorry, christ Law, do you even know that you
just referenced a bad guy from a Stephen King movie?
No DreamCatcher, mister Okay, all right, it's to a had
no idea either.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
This is the moment right now that we will never
forget Eric Gray, that he will become an impactful player
for the Giants. He is the Victor Cruz levels. The
referenced yesterday that that preseason performance alone, basically with things changing,
whether eyes across at the Empire state, this is your
day to the start of a fantastic, impactful twenty twenty four,
(03:26):
or this will be the last time we ever say
your name on the air. This will be the last
Eric Gray reference because he'll be cut. He'll get to
say I scored a few touchdowns in a preseason game
that will never hear from a movie.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
I mean, there's a chance there's something between the no,
you know what I mean, Like you you all you
extremists out here are driving a little crazy. It was
weird because this morning I heard Mike Tannenbaum all over
the Four Letter Network, multiple shows and different radio hits,
and he said Eric Grage just made the team. Eric
Grages made the roster. He's the back of running back.
(04:00):
And at first I was like, bro, it's the first
game of the preseason. What do you like? Chill out?
I thought about it. They don't play preseason anymore, they
barely play. He may very well have just made the
fifty three man. I think he did. I think he's
part of the roster now because listen, if I'm Tommy DeVito,
I'm paying for him to be on the roster. Because
(04:21):
it was not the story of Eric Gray having two
rushing touchdowns. What was its four carries fifty two yards
aftering thirteen yards of carry on the ground and four
catches forty six yards in the air. If Eric Gray
is not the story, the story is Tommy DeVito brought
an energy. He looked really good, but he also looked
(04:42):
like he didn't know elike Neighbors was on the team.
So like, if I'm Devino, I'm sitting here right now
going Eric Gray is great. I love Eric Gray. I
know that's I wanted to highlight Eric Gray. We all
know elite neighbors are gonna make the team. I was
highlighting Eric Gray. I'm not going as far as and
the bomb Drew Lock was completely missed that it was
Drew Lock and miss him first, right, Yes, yes, yes,
(05:04):
Drew Locke, I knew what you meant. Though. These white
quarterbacks look alike to me.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
Here's why I'm not as confident and I want to
do mister Gray again, mister Gray's abilities here that Look,
you had Tracy, you drafted, who I thought was gonna
be the impact player last night.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
He has some smart right like he was fine.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Nothing that jumps off the page, and it's it's not
a historic performance body stretch. That seems like the theme
I want to go with in this opening segment. But look,
Tracy got drafted. They're not gonna cut a fifth or
sixth round running back because he didn't look great in
the first preseason game. He's gonna be on the roster.
They're not gonna waste a pick. He's gonna be on
the team. So Tracy's gonna be on the team. Singletary's
gonna be on the team. So if you're gonna tell
(05:42):
me there's a competition now between Miller and Gray, okay.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Yeah, but with with Tracy's skill set, you can stash Tracy.
You can make Tracy a returner, you can do yeah,
you can do different stuff with him. Right now, Yeah,
I would think right right now. The way that the
depth charts listed a lot of places Singletary one, Tracy two,
Gray three, Miller four.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
And Miller by the way more yards last night, triple
the amount of carries out of the backfield. Gray, what
ninety percent of his yardage came on one run?
Speaker 3 (06:17):
Yeah, but I mean, but that's what That's what this
team has been missing. Is that home run hitter. You
know that that that big threat, that big play threat,
Like that's that's a big deal. That's not going anywhere.
Here's the deal. If Eric Gray does this again, he
may be the second string quarterback going in the season,
the running back, sorry, that quarterback. I mean, then things
(06:37):
are really good. But like, you don't have a fullback
on this roster. How many wide receivers are you bringing?
How many tight ends? Like you could carry four backs
for a while if you needed to.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
That is an interesting thing that Joe Shane could potentially
do if they decided to expand the backfield and have
that type because of kickoffs, kickoff return punt coverage. If
you think Daniel Jones is not going to be what
you hope he can be without, say Kwon Barkley, you're
not just gonna punt on the running attack this season,
and say, you know, Daniel Jills, we need you to
throw the ball forty times a game. We need the
(07:09):
league neighbors to have one hundred yards receiving every game.
We know we lost our tight end, we know we
lost our running back.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
But don't worry. I got an idea for running backs. Now.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
It's almost laughable, but almost necessary. I will stick by
this point. Though Gray played fine, Tracy looked good. Gray
played fine. Yeah, but yeah, that was a great knight. Here,
here's a great knight. Here's the thing, giant fans, this
is the first time in a long time.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Who's the dude. Who's the dude? The running back that
Kim just came out of cues Shawn Tucker. If Sean
Tucker had this night, you would be anointing him as
a Hall of Famer.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
Well, here's the thing. Sean Tucker did look good last camp,
and then I watched him sit on the bench for
the Bucks because White out played him the entire sea.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
Like if Shon Talker went out to when did the
Bucks play tomorrow or today? I'll look soon. We's this weekend.
So if Sean Talker was on does the exact same
thing Eric Ray does, You're going to annoint him as
the starting running back of the Buccaneers. I would be thrilled.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
Yes, I actually drafted Sean Tucker on two fantasy teams
last season. I regret that now looking back, that I
thought Sean Tucker had the impact. But I would say
the same take about Sean Tucker that I will say
today about Eric Gray. No, no, no, I will same
take about Eric Gray and Dante Miller. I would say
the same thing about him today, which is, if they
are the running back for the team in October or November,
(08:29):
that is not good.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
That is a problem.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
As nice as they looked last night, If Sean Tucker
was the leading back for the Buccaneers last year, they're
not going to the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
White was great.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
If Devin Singletary is not the one getting the most
touches by October November and it's Gray or Miller or Tracy,
start looking at quinn Ewers's tape for twenty twenty five's draft.
That is an issue. That is a problem. Nice players,
but if these are your running backs in October and November,
start looking at mock drafts because these.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
Are not the guys. But it happens though, like Jontay
for him and they like we've had, we've had backs
come out of nowhere. It's it's actually one of the
positions where it happens, like if you you didn't pick
the running back room for the for a lot of teams,
obviously Christian McCaffrey, of course, but before Isayapa Checko, Like
those guys aren't even on the Chiefs anymore. The guys
(09:19):
who were like help them win the two previous Super Bowls,
they wont like that's it does happen in the running
back position. You're anti Eric Gray because you wanted yo
boy Tracy to go off last night. You wanted Tyrone
Tracy Junior to go off last night. And the fact
that he just had a good night, not like he
(09:39):
looked okay in his first his first ever NFL action
and Eric Gray stole the show. You're anti Eric Gray.
It would have made me.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Look smarter if Tracy looked better last night. I just look,
Eric Gray, you're a nice player. I don't know if
we'll ever talk about you ever again in the history
of the show.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
I don't I get the vibe that they're gonna give
him another shot. They're gonna he's gonna get some opportunities
in the preseason. He's bought him off. Opportunity is that
he was done that I can agree with you on.
But but like I said, with the way the preseason
has been shrunk, if he looks good in camp two,
he may very well be a roster guy. Now he
may very well be, you know, the the man, not
(10:15):
you know, not not singletary, but like the two but like,
like five carries for twenty six yards, that's great, good
job Dante Miller. Okay, Also let's remember Dante Miller, who
do you go against a bunch of dudes are gonna
be driving for ups next week? You know what I mean,
Like like it's there's a little difference, it's gotta be
you gotta like you gotta kind of weigh it all out. Yeah,
(10:37):
Dnte Miller had the better yards, the better whatever, more carries. Okay,
Eric Graye did most of his on one or two plays,
but he did his against better players, guys who are
actually gonna be on the Lions fifty three.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
And here's the other thing we probably should have said
this sooner for giant fans. Eleven minutes into the show,
they did win. You know, Betroit Lions.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
You know that's well, And that's the thing that's where
I was kind of I was kind of going, like
it's it's they're They're I like the giants. I think
it's gonna come down to Daniel Jones. And I think
Daniel Jones. Daniel Jones looks mean with the beard, with
the look now like I think I think something's broken,
(11:16):
and Dan like he's the broken Daniel Jones. Delite, delite,
he is. Hope somebody got that pretty they I mean
it's literally like you're this is a team that has
got some camaraderie to it. We know who the stars
are because they weren't on the field, with the exception
(11:39):
of Lake Davers. But like, but like.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
All the losers out of the field, right, I got
to play football.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
That's great, little Timmy. No one else did. But like,
but like, I believe in their defense. I think their
defense is gonna be fine. I believe in their offensive
line now because Bastilla the car the the the coach,
is the dude who made the Raiders line. You can't
name everybody who played offensive line for the Raiders last year,
but that offensive line was good. With the exception of
(12:09):
the game against the Chargers where Khalil Mack said why
are you wearing my friend's number? And destroyed Aidan O'Connell.
That line played really good all year long. All year long,
they played good. This line's gonna be okay. This defense
is gonna be better than okay. They're gonna be good.
You got weapons on offense. If Daniel Jones can not
(12:32):
turn the ball over, which has been his biggest to
quote my my dearly parted mother, bugaboo, then he I mean,
then we could be onto something with this Giants team.
They could be on their way. And to have a
guy like Eric Gray who could be a home run
hitter here and there, to have, you know, Tyland Tracy,
who you're bringing along. I saw I saw my dude
the tight end theater. I saw him throw a couple
(12:53):
of blocks and they all had to say. There was
a camaraderie to it. I like the Giants. I between
the hard knocks and this, they might they might be
the most They're one of the two most stable teams
in the ANFC the NFC East right now.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
The most successful Giant team of the last ten years
was a Giant team that won a little ugly I
remember you and I would talk about, you know, they
didn't score over thirty points this week. You know, they
ran around twenty again, twenty four, twenty one, seventeen. But
they were winning games, and they were finding ways to win.
They got to the postseason. They were successful. You can
combine the Daniel Jones led team that beat the Minnesota Vikings,
(13:28):
or you can combine the party boat team that also
got to the postseason. It's never been a thirty five
plus point performance by the offense.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
It's never been.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
You got to make sure you got Daniel Jones on
your fantasy team in the running back.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
This is probably how they're gonna win this season.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
If you're a Giant fan and want this team to
become a postseason contender, want this team to improve, You're
probably gonna win games twenty four to seventeen. You're probably
gonna win games fourteen to ten, doesn't matter.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
Ten, Yeah, wins, It wins. This is it. This is
a Giant team. This is the strength of the team.
Here's you want. It was something funny. I look at
what's going on in Philadelphia, and I think it's a
lot worse than you want to believe it is. I
look at what's going on in Dallas. I think there's
a chance that gets fixed. Historically, Dallas has these issues
like like Ezekiel Elliott, EMMITTT. Smith. You know these stars,
(14:15):
they're oh, never playing for you again. And then here's
the bag. I'm on my way. You know, it's like
and everything's fine. I think Philly's problems are real. I
think Washington is a very similar team to the Giants.
Right now, what do you get out of your quarterback?
I think that's what it's gonna come down to. I
think everything else is solid on your rosters. But like
(14:35):
when I look at the Raiders and I and here
he goes the Raiders. That's right, that's right. I'm talking
about the Raiders. The Raiders are going to have a
top notch defense. They have maybe the best punter in
the game. They they're they're a very good kicker. So
they're gonna there's special teams. Their defense is gonna be good.
Their running game is going to be good. They there
(14:57):
are two first their last two first round picks are
tight end. You know they're gonna be The offense just
needs to not suck, like, don't turn the ball over,
be out there along, get some field goals, like you said,
manufacture seventeen to twenty four points if you can. If
(15:17):
the Raiders or the Giants both. If they score twenty
points a week, they're gonna win ten games each because
that's how good the rest of the team is. And
the different the biggest difference between the Raiders and the
Giants right now, in my opinion, Daniel Jones is an
NFL quarterback and Gardner Minshew and Aide O'Connell are quarterbacks
who are in the NFL. There's a difference between an
NFL quarterback and quarterbacks who are in the NFL.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Attitudes, swagger, confidence broke in the way we describe this
giant hum almost evolving this Officely. We got a text
our guy Dan this morning, really early, and said, hey,
did you guys catch the interview with Dexter, Lawrence Kevon
Thibodeaux and Brian Burns. And Dan's not Dan is a
Giants fan, and he said, I feel so much better
about this team. All those guys feel good. Only they
(16:00):
all beast, not only some of the top defenders in
the NFL, not on one roster, but there's like, let's go,
let's bring on the pressure. Burns embraces it. I know,
I saw what you guys hyped me U about in
Hard Knocks. Came out was the number one player in
the country come out of high school. Feels like you
should have been number one pick. He wants to embrace
New York dexter Lawrence. He's getting paid. You know it
(16:20):
was already Ranks and Madden. He knows right now if
he did the highest ranking of New York athletes to
be him and Josh Allen. The swagger, competence of this
Giant team, those are the things to get excited about.
You won the game against the Lions. You found a
sty you could play with, you might have found a
contributor to your team, and you've got three of your
best players ready to go. So wins across the board
(16:41):
for the New York Giants. Was it the most exciting
football game ever played?
Speaker 3 (16:44):
No?
Speaker 2 (16:45):
Was there a time when I was driving to the
studio today thinking, gosh, I don't know if we're gonna
find any storylines out of his game?
Speaker 3 (16:52):
Yeah? Was Panthers Patriots far worse?
Speaker 2 (16:54):
Oh yeah, but Giant fans a lot of positives from
last night?
Speaker 3 (17:00):
All right, So I just got very and I got distracted.
So far this season, Giants have looked the best in
the preseason in me, not by a lot. I mean,
the Bears look okay, Patriots look good in the rain,
the Patriots Patriots again. There's there's gonna be two kinds
of football teams this year in the NFL. Well, actually three,
(17:20):
three kinds. Okay. There's gonna be like the Chiefs Ravens
types who can just go out there and they can
do it all. They can score forty if they need to.
There's gonna be the teams that just plain suck. And
then there's gonna be these teams that are gonna go
out there and out and try to outwork it. Because
I can't win the arms race. I can't out play
Patrick Mahomes. I can't outrun Tyreek Hill. I can't. No
(17:43):
one can bottle up Lamar Jackson if he doesn't want
to be bottled up with Derek Henry back there too. However,
I can slow a game down. I can. I can
hit you every single play, I cannot make mistakes, and
I can take you into the deep water and see
if you can swim. So that's gonna that's what the
If the Giants, the Raiders, the Bucks are in between
the top two, I mean they're either gonna be the
(18:04):
your Buccaneers are either gonna be really good or really bad.
I don't think you got that's true. Yeah, so so
like I'm I'm out here looking at it going I
want to be the ground and pound fighter. I don't
want I don't want to be Connor McGregor. You could,
you guys can be the flashy fighters. I want to
be the ground and pound guy. Giants, you're the ground
(18:25):
and pound guy unless Daniel Jones goes off and then
and then, and then you better look out the rest
of the other c east because it could get bad. Uh.
Cool stuff.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
Yes, take that bragging rain throughout the weekend, Giants fans.
No NFL team has looked better in the preseason than
you so far.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
That's true. Things can change.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
But haven't enjoy that brag about that on a Friday.
Speaker 3 (18:45):
I'm just uh, I'm sorry, I'm just getting distracted. You
started something earlier today.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
Oh gosh, while you're looking at that, well, no, I
just gonna tell you what it is. Oh gosh, so
so earlier today, you you thought Darius Prince Darius is
in his feeling like he was.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
He's in his feelings right now. And it's cool because
Darius hasn't always been the dude who's willing to talk
about his feelings. So he's he's looking at his career,
you know, you know, he had hit a cup of
coffee with the Eagles stuff like that, but he knows
like he's got probably two maybe three four years left tops.
So he's been posting like, hey, you know it's this,
(19:21):
I've done a lot and you were like, did you
see you retiring? And so I like text him, like Joe,
I was like, hey, God's thanks for hanging it up.
And he's like, I'm not hanging it up. What are
you talking about? I like, can you call in today?
He goes, yeah, well I'll so we'll have Darius at
some point to that all the time.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
Thank you because as much as I feel like I
felt like Darius Prince retired, I read his post today.
One of the most popular athletes here in the Capitol region.
You want to about guy was had an impact over
the last five years that people are buying jerseys of
I saw the Instagram comments I do not stand alone.
This is a huge deal that went down this morning.
(19:54):
So Darius, I'm glad. Thank you to Darius for making
the time for us today because I think a lot
of Capital Region sports fans just want to make sure.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
Well, he just want to make sure. So there's a
group with like Andy Glcher in my courtA. There's a
bunch of us and Damon Ware and Darius is like,
you know, hey, I miss my friends, and Andykelcher puts
soft and now it's just a battle. Now. It's like
anybody who's gonn a picture of like Andy hugging, anyone's
putting that in there, anyone who's gonna picture of of
(20:23):
Darius like looking at his feet. That's it. Like it's
just it turned into a full battle out of nowhere.
At least be nice to Darius when he calls it.
If you're gonna call it, I Darius wrote, I'll admit it.
He got me because when he wrote he wrote this
one post and he like, you know, hey, we've had
a long road together, and I was like, we have
(20:45):
so so I ain't got nothing to say. It's Darius,
but it's all love there. But yeah, he'll joys at
some point. I'm not sure when. Ye he's gonna let
me know when he can when he can hop.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
On, Okay, no worries on that. Just make sure you're listening.
If you're on the podcast side. You can find in
the description of when Darius is gonna join us today.
We got a lot of energy on this Friday. It's
a different friday. It's a different vibe on this Friday.
But we didn't know we were gonna be here.
Speaker 3 (21:05):
Yea. It's like it's like, you ever do a half day?
What did you do during half day schools? I know
you're trying to wrap but.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
No, no, no, I'm not sure if I understood your question.
Speaker 3 (21:14):
Anytime there was like a half day of school and
in the winter, a bunch of colony kids, we'd all
get a keg. No, I did not.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
I just went back to my house just I don't know,
played video games, played outside. I did not get the keg. No,
are you feeling that today?
Speaker 3 (21:30):
That's what it feel like. I need a. We had
a pizza party earlier. I enjoyed it.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
I'm the only one who still gets hyped about workplace
pizza parties on Fridays to thank people.
Speaker 3 (21:41):
I know.
Speaker 2 (21:41):
That's like Tamboo now ten years later. Oh it us
a pizza part I love it. I'm all about I'm
also about Sea four is what I'm about. I had
another C four this morning last night was one of
those nights if you're a parent of young kids. Four
o'clock in the morning, five o'clock in the morning, six
o'clock from.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
Hey, what do you do about tomorrow morning with a
with a freshly minted twenty one year old who's going
out tonight with us. Yeah, she's gonna need the Sea
four tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
Whether it's the energy you need in the morning or
in the afternoon before the workout, whether you're like Lavac
and has a wild scheduled traveling coming up this weekend,
you need that.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
That's also part of this. I just said DP. I'm like,
you know, I'm gonna be down there next week. He's like, bro,
let's get together. So we'll do that too. Four Well,
C four there's C four in Orlando, right, there has
to be yes, they.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
We know, there's Stuart's. We know there's speedway here in
the Capito. Agency four can always give you the ship
it down. I'm gonna have Spence ship it down for me.
You're also leading the Sea four Bank World Challenge right now.
Three winners yesterday on the Sea four Bank World Challenge
Quin in Cancerra.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
They're all hyped. Told Cantara, he might be up next
after all our hits yesterday, He's gonna hit one next week,
is he though? I mean, listen, he had his luck
last year. Now the skill steps up, you know what
I mean? The cream his Risien and an ultimate energy
C four the cherry power bomb, you know, and then
I power bombed you for making wish. So what I'm
(23:02):
I'm I'm almost double you, so like you know, hey,
let's just let's just keep going with it. C four.
If you don't, if you don't know what we're talking about,
just try one. It's a whole other animal. It's it's
explosive energy. You can feel C four ultimate energy, see
four popsicle flavors like guys Ad Stewart's speedways. Listen, I
don't even know what else do you want to talk
(23:23):
about these? Do we have to talk about the Yankees? Yeah?
We do? All right, let's see that next. We'll be
here Will Volpe. It's Fox Sports Radio ninety five nine,
nine eighty.
Speaker 1 (23:32):
It's the Vacan guys on ninety five nine Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
For my entire adult actually, no, even my childhood. If
you like I knew I hated you by seeing one
thing like this isn't racism. Okay, this isn't like a
colored thing. This is the choice that I knew you made.
If I saw a filthy red be on you, I
knew you were a bad person. Like I just knew it.
I just knew you were a bad person. I didn't
(24:01):
need to know any more about you. Now. There's exceptions
to every rule. Like Boston Dan. Every once in a
while he's okay, But majority of the Boston Fans are horrible, horrible,
terrible people, and I don't like to be around them.
There's a group that may be worse. Oh that I
may actually like, I may actually have started a dislike
(24:24):
one group more than Red Sox fan. Ohio State fan
is even like because what it does is that it
seems to corrupt good people like like like like Red
Sox fan, I just feel like you chose the dark
side out of the womb. You know you didn't you
You're like, you're wa I want to be evil. Let's
(24:44):
go Red Sox Like that just happened, right, We're like,
Ohio State fan, You're going through life. Everything's good. You're like, oh,
you're picking a flower. You know, maybe you save a
baby from a fire or whateverything's cool. You're a good person,
and all of a sudden one day you're.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
Like Ohio State rules, I love Satan, Like it just feels.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
Like you've chosen like a bad path. My friend Laurie
from high school, she's a Yankee fan, so we always
get along on that level. She's she went to Ohio State.
Terrible decision, you know, bad person. Now you know she's
been giving me a hard time about the Yankee It's
my fault. The Yankees lost last night, even though since
I broke this hat back out, they have a they've
(25:24):
been back on a on a heater, on a winning streak. Okay.
But because she's an Ohio State fan, like they forget
how to spell four letter words. Oh h i ow
oh you that's your part of it, you know. And
and they're just not good people. So when the Yankees
lost last night, the Ohio State fans who happened to
also be Yankee fans were like, you, what's wrong with
your hat? Me like spell hat h A D yah.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
They like the dating on and off, turn on, turn off.
The author for the levac is an Ohio State Red
Sox fan.
Speaker 3 (25:58):
Oh my gosh, there's some there's some it's I keep
I keep going down these YouTube rabbit holes at night,
and there's a it's a dating game. It seems to
be predominantly like like black people in the in the
dating game. But everybody holds a balloon. So if it's
like six women with balloons and a dude walks out,
(26:19):
and as soon as you don't want to date the dude,
you pop the balloon and then they do it at
verse like it's you know, six dudes and then chick
walks out. So like if you came out with the
Boston Ohio State, I've got pop, I like I would
pop everybody else's balloons. I would hop was that light
that was like was like you all right, son, kill them? No,
(26:40):
I'm sorry, I don't kill anyone.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
Our sales manager, Chris is the Ohio State fan cutting
the lights.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
Get get them off. I'm saying, Chris, good guy, made
made bad decisions in life, you know.
Speaker 2 (26:50):
I think about the story. This girl, her name was Grace.
She was in college. I was a senior. She was
a senior. She ended up like in a weird way,
like was not just friends with my college friend, but
also found her way dating one of my high school
friends who went to a different school. Wonderful girl has
three great kids now, But I remember the day where
she had a little too much to drink and finally
(27:11):
she ripped off her hoodie and had a Duke shirt underneath,
and I just stared at her. I'm like, why are
you the way you are? The Dhobe line from the office.
I'm like, everything about you was so bad? Is that
the trigger for you is Duke?
Speaker 3 (27:21):
Duke? I guess it's for me because it's like I
thought it was Georgetown.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
The problem with Georgetown is I haven't yes that, and
like I just haven't run into a lot of Georgetown
fans like Ohio State and Red Sox, just because.
Speaker 3 (27:33):
Where we live a little bit more and they recently
were successful. So now they're all like they'll they'll fade
back into obscurity where they belong. You know, Ryan Dale
cried tears, and they'll slide down the river of his
tears into obscurity again.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
Yukon's moved the number one for me because they've been
so good.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
That's it.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
I don't like when it's the double, the rival and
the success. But I get what you're saying here. There
are people are sticking out the chest way too much recently,
and with your combination with the guys in the rents.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
Oh man, I wouldn't even know like I would. I
would just be like, get help. You know, life's not
this bad. I was talking to a female this is
like fifteen years ago, and she had a Boston tattoo
(28:22):
in in a non public area. Oh you want to
see him like I got a great tattoo. You want
to seem like, of course, I want to see a tattoo.
I'm like, I ran out of the room. You know,
never talked to her again, put your close back on,
made quite a few odor jokes and this never Yeah,
(28:43):
I was done. I was out. I was out. It
was over. You've changed me, No, just not change, its
change changed my mind, that's for sure. Yesterday Yankees lose
nine to four to the Angels. Nester cort Has he
had that just great outing right after the trade deadline.
Everyone was hopeful that it was like, oh, he's confident
(29:04):
now and he's worried but lungs and he just have
he's not worried about leaving, and it's yay kumbah yah.
And we all had a drum circle and then Cortes
went out and just was okay, yesterday wasn't good. Wasn't
you know? We was? He's out in four and two
thirds And then the bullpen wasn't much better. And when
(29:25):
I say, okay, six runs, they never overcome the six
but even that, like just you know, and then Vulpey
fouls a ball off his own foot, waiting to hear
exactly how bad that's gonna be. You know, good times,
good times. But that's my hat's fault, you know, So
you know, what are you gonna do? I guess I'll
switch again another hat every way. Do you see the
(29:47):
hat I'm wearing at Disney That'll fix everything? No straw hat,
full on, I'm going Merca, Merca. I did see that
in the mass text. That is a sweethet. My brother
saw it and said, it looks like you're voting for Trump,
And I was like, why, why is the American flag
now bad? What do you hang out with? Gods? It's
not out.
Speaker 2 (30:07):
I like America. I'm I don't have to defend my
American love here. Uh yeah, there's there's not a lot.
Speaker 3 (30:13):
Nothing really good came out last night.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
No, it's so weird because of the Giant and almost
Yankee connection from the topic we opened the show with
today talking about the Giants preseason, where it's like, Okay,
there were some glimpses of something that can be successful
for the future. Other things may have no impact, and
the negativity is probably gonna be taken out. Like that's
almost the same thing here for the Yankees, but there
were some glimpses of things that could be good for
(30:36):
the future. Jazz continues to play great, another home run
for him last night. Yeah, Stanton making some contact, driving
in some runs, Cabrera staying hot, Like there's some positives
of impact players. The EH isness, Cortes's you let off,
the conversation with EH and the concerns for the future
of the bullpen.
Speaker 3 (30:56):
And vape. Yes, yes, yes. The thing about the thing
about Volpey that is is weird because I feel like
any other organization and he is being carried around on
people's shoulders. So you've got a twenty three year old
(31:16):
shortstop in his second year as a player, who's hitting
two fifty seven, he's got eleven home runs, forty five RBIs,
and he's got an ops of seven oh five. Like
that's your shortstop now he's not he's not a big
musclehead shortstop. He's but he he's a plus fielder. Hold on,
let me look up his war. Careful, don't say too loud.
(31:37):
I don't want to see all of it. I think
with there, I don't think his mom drives in the rain.
So I think we're okay. Any that much liquid in
the studio with all the rain, yeah, I don't think
she drives in the rain. Volpey three, he is a
three three games wins above replacement. I think any other organization,
we're all sitting there going this guy's gonna be great.
He's gonna be the fun on the Yankees, following even
(31:59):
though not direct falling, but following Jeter and the same
team as Judge and Juan Soto. And he's just like
Volpi's okay, he's all right. I don't hate him.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
What it's almost like you have to get defensive with Vulpan.
Actually saw Michael Kavim this discussion the other day talking
about some wild ninth innen rule he wants to do.
But he's like, you know, if you had to pick
the three Yankees to represent the team of the ninth
inning for the Big hits. He'd pick Judge and Soto
and Vulpy. I mean, I don't mean Vulpey. I wouldn't
pick him. I'm just doing random play. WHOA, it's almost
offensive if you mentioned him now as a good player
(32:32):
on the Yankees, like no, no, no, he's on the team.
It'd be nicer if you could go into that category
of don't feel embarrassed and you mentioned is a good
player anymore.
Speaker 3 (32:41):
He leads the team in at bats, he's the third
in hits, he's fourth in doubles. I mean like he's
he's having he's very very good. And he's twenty three,
you know what I mean. He like the other day.
(33:02):
You know, you're you're you're a little tougher on Cashman
than I am. But that's historically the way we are
when I go on cash, when I go all the way.
But but like we talked about the guys, he's protected
the guys were, Valpey's got to be one of the
ones you got right, like you kept vulpay Vaalpez here
or whatever. So hopefully that the foot just some bruising.
Maybe maybe he gets a day, a couple of days
off and then everything's fine. He might be out there tonight,
(33:24):
might be a little tour it all and go. You know,
that's a that's a the football players talk about. That's
how we say things were. They were getting a room
full of like older football players and somebody goes like,
some yeah, my doctor gave me Tierra to Turtle. Yeah,
oh you're in for a good day. That's my doctor
(33:47):
when he gave it to me for my back. He goes,
you're about to find out. I'm like, what, why? Why
did you say it like that? He goes, you about
to find out why football players love Turtle. I'm like,
I don't know what you're talking about. She was able
to like I love Tourtle.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
You're doing the autumn wind singing, ready to suit up
for the Raiders.
Speaker 3 (34:03):
I'm tackling nurse Joan in the parking lot. Row. Don't
bring that week stuff, Jony.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
People remember Terry Tait office linebacker?
Speaker 3 (34:13):
People? Remember that? Is that Terry Cruz? No, no, no, no.
But you know we should do that with Haig. But
when I get back in town, we should. If you
have an office and you want Haig to start lighting
people out, I'll get set it up. Actually, the other
problem is, like off the field, Hagg's a sweetheart, quiet, nice,
plays with that little dog, beautiful wife. But then you
(34:34):
get him on the football field, he's he turns into
the Tasmanian devil. So like, so, my, I guess my
My point is I hope Bully is gonna be gonna
be fine because he's way more important than people give
him credit for. Yes, he's a fine player, he's good. Fine.
Speaker 2 (34:49):
I didn't want to do it again, I didn't want
to be like healthy. He's not on the level of
Judge and subtle, which is almost unfair to him. It's
like you can't group him in with those guys. Yet
he's the next tier for doing a tear system. For
the Yankees, he's in the second tier if they didn't
get Soto. Now, mind you, if didn't have Soto, with
the way things are going, they probably would be a
very average team. But if they didn't have Soto, he's
(35:09):
the second best player on the team right, not picture
non pitcher. Yes, and the reason that even hesitate answering
that is like, boy, that would be a problem, Like
I don't know if you would brag, yeah, Averages is
probably being poloite. They'd probably be around gosh, you've said
the war was three, and they'd probably be right above
the Boston Red sox, I go back.
Speaker 3 (35:29):
And look at what.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
Let me throw this question at you though.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
Okay, oh my god, what a guess? Three? No bull
pace three? Yeah, all right, Judge leads the team. Yeah,
I guess judges war. I would be careful.
Speaker 2 (35:46):
I would say I would say Judge has the second
highest war in baseball after Otani. So I guess I'd
say like five point eight. That seems really high, though,
five eight.
Speaker 3 (35:56):
Kevin point eight you lose here? Seven Kevin point eight
lud here stupid. I don't know why you're so dumb.
You're just a dumb god Vin. Seven point eight seven
like the number seven eight nine, the number that all
other numbers are afraid of. Seven. Judge has the war
(36:18):
seven point eight. Now, try to re ed your call,
try to regain some of your war. What do you
think one shotos war is? First of all, I thought warpick.
Your mom didn't drive in the rain. I'm not he didn't.
I have a CDT, a navigator. App Okay, that's you
want to talk about winsubber placement. That's making Okay, guess
what Soto's war is stop galling. I'm I'm happy that
(36:41):
you're here. War Pig. Thank you.
Speaker 2 (36:43):
Actually, I'm not like you get your mouth six point nine.
Speaker 3 (36:50):
Even your brid squirrel find and you are absolutely correct
her at tick point nine run out of the money,
the money, you know. You know what, guys, your war
just increase exponentially. You now have a war of minus
seventy three. That's not that's that's been good for yes,
your all time high, Warpig. One day, I explain to you,
I guess six point nine because because it's the accurate number,
(37:17):
because you finally got something right in your life, which
I the call wife for your load there lady easy Warpick, Yeah,
I heard that she's got a minifan. It's like my mom,
who told you that? Into this crappy show when I
can't get anything else. I have one of those ham
(37:37):
radios and some of my friends from Poland and Denmark
played the showback for me. Warpick. Before I throw you
out into the radio, throw me out. What's tany on
that list? Warpick. Yes, I'm just I was just bringing
up the Yankees list. But if you want, I will
give you the next thing you know. If you want
to talk war, what is he good for? I'll tell you.
(38:00):
I'm not afraid to tell you. I'll tell you whatever
you want to know.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
Do you love Rady days warpeg As you're looking up
the stats that like, you don't have to go outside
at all.
Speaker 3 (38:07):
I don't go outside. It's not really for me. Pokemon
tried to get me one time. Okay, So you had
some many accuracies today, So you're right back down to
your crappy war from before. The leader of the entire
Amajor League Baseball in War is Jaron Judge. Okay. Oh,
Kanye is a miserable number seven. Okay, he's got to
(38:30):
Sally tie for six. But Bobby Wick Jr. Seven six,
Con Soto is a six point nine Jenner Henderson from
your crappy team, he's six to eight. Jaron Durant from
the wonderful Boston Red Sox the sixth War to tell
Marque Shoe hey, o'kani are about five point five point.
Speaker 2 (38:54):
This will be the time a yelling screamship about how
dumb war is and how it makes no sex.
Speaker 3 (38:58):
What is he good for? You know what this joke
I could catch. It's just something that my dad listened
to before he went to get some milk for us.
I haven't seen him. Have you seen my dad? I
have not. Do you want to play Pokemon?
Speaker 2 (39:11):
Laiter?
Speaker 3 (39:11):
So you know what get out you want? I see
you wearing a Ninja Turtle shirt today. You act a
Ninja Turtle.
Speaker 2 (39:16):
As if you didn't know the Who's your favorite Ninja Turtle?
The Ninja Turtle TV shows out on Paramount today?
Speaker 3 (39:21):
Is your favorite? I watched it last week? Who's your
favorite Ninja Turtle? I like Michael Lane Nerd wrapped me
out in the corning. I hope you sit on a shredder.
I'm out of here, baby. There he goes war pig.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
I thought on a Friday in the rain during the
Yankee Ancils.
Speaker 3 (39:38):
Did you watch you? You saw hard knocks? I feel
like this slipping this for the slipping slide here, that's crazy.
We had clean update today at the office.
Speaker 2 (39:46):
Have you ever been left out for Joe Ballagher on
the weekend?
Speaker 3 (39:50):
Now it's been pressure washed, just disgusting. Change the microphone,
turning the break We have a towel in there. Oh yeah,
stand pick Do not eat that pizza that's left over.
That's for me. Geese track said he gives me wicked.
Speaker 2 (40:13):
Check it out, Yeah, like gluten free. I think Warpick
didn't said wicked toots. It sounds like you got he's
got the hots for your wife.
Speaker 3 (40:28):
He might, he might. It might be warp pig of
a replacement, trying to get trying to boot a little
Ghazi bear out of there home and Washington Inja turtles,
war Pick and a hell of a step dad. Your
guns would have a very nice life with me. We
would play video games. No thing wouldn't we would. I
would teach him the plastics in the minuses, how to
(40:48):
cut your underwear so that when you get wedgies ripped
instead of going straight up your your tool hole. Warp Pick.
You said you listen to the show. Do you know anytimes?
Speaker 2 (40:57):
Do you know anything about c d T A A, Yeah,
I do.
Speaker 3 (41:01):
I love CDTA to when mom won't drive me places,
I go to CDTA. There's a fan fest this weekend
and it's right on one of those amazing routes of CDT.
Do you know what CDTA stands for? No, the Capitol
District Transportation Authority, the authority of transportation in the Capitol District.
Very impressive I have, well, I have the navigator app.
(41:21):
You do, but of course I do. I'm not stupid
like you. You know out there. You know what your
carbon footprint is? God, it's abs third, Mike, I have
zero carbon footprint. My mom drives me to card shows
and then aside from that, I get on CDTA. I
don't have a license. I'm only forty seven, so I
love CDTA. They've got a trolley up in Saratoga that
(41:45):
though very much. You know so much about this. This
is where I go sometimes. So Dad hasn't been home
in six months, and every once in a while Mom
goes to one of her netting parties and she's gone
for like three to four days. So I got my
cdt A and I just ride around the Capitol region
and make new friend.
Speaker 2 (42:03):
Here's what we're gonna do. Thank you, war Pig.
Speaker 3 (42:05):
Cdt A has a eighty four win. Have you ever
done the parking ride some time? As you park and
then you just ride to the airport or whatever.
Speaker 2 (42:19):
Bec is loving life right next to seeing the other
room and join the pizza. I'm gonna take you out
of the studio.
Speaker 3 (42:25):
No, I'm going to get you now, and I'm gonna
welcome to war Pig and guy win but predacent and
gdt A. Here's what I'm gonna do, get you, okay,
connecting you to what matters, and I'm gonna find leven
you don't me a hard time about survivor. I bring
my girl Cup and.
Speaker 2 (42:43):
I'm gonna close out the next hour, or we'll do
it together with Levac, or you'll be out of the building.
Speaker 3 (42:47):
We'll find out altogether. I'll never leave.
Speaker 1 (42:50):
It's Lovak and Guz on the voice of the Capitol
Regions Sports Fan Fox Sports ninety five, nine and nine eighty.
Speaker 3 (42:59):
More details coming up, but a lot less baseball in
New York today. I know we've been kind of hinting
towards it, but uh yeah, well we'll talk more about
that coming up. Guys just runs in here. So they
they're cleaning the They cleaned the office today, so they
bought pizza help for people who helped clean the office. So, hey,
I refuse to help clean the office. I'm not here enough,
(43:22):
and b I already ate, so I didn't. I'm not
touching the pizza, but and no one told me I couldn't.
I just that's I feel like, if you buy pizza
reveal clean, you know clean, you know, get pizza. That's
the standard. You're pizza, gotta clean.
Speaker 2 (43:32):
I came out out of the gates with a box
and then went right to the pizza.
Speaker 3 (43:36):
Right. I did my part right, which is right. Like
I said, I don't care what other people do this,
it is my rules. So right, like like two minutes
left of the commercials, door flings over the studio. Guys,
I'm like, what you ready to go? I'm like, yeah,
I've been sitting here, but I couldn't you had like
a whole mouthful of pizza. Yeah, like you can't You
(43:57):
if you told me, like the jokes were all real
and you were a sasquatch and that was when you
shows to tell me I'm a sasquatch but in your
native tongue'm stop squatching. I would have believed you right
then and there. I'm just trying to.
Speaker 2 (44:07):
Shove as much crust as I can into my mouth
as possible. There was a point in mine radio broadcasting
career that I feared that the most to go all
the air with food, And then we've done so many
live shows now and it's just life has changed.
Speaker 3 (44:19):
Now.
Speaker 2 (44:19):
Broadcasters like want to eat the stuff during the game.
I'm like, Okay, that was don't worry about that. You'll
be fine. You're a human being.
Speaker 3 (44:25):
You can eat right, which I mean the show is
an extension of our actual lives. And don't no, no, no,
what you are on the air and you gave me
like a look like you were offended, Like what where
are you ready to go? I'm like, yeah, I'm ready.
I've been sitting here all right. It is uh. It
is the fact, guys, Happy Friday. Everybody track rained out, yanks,
(44:49):
rained out, sad Day when the Mets have to go
to Seattle to get away from the rain. But this
story out Apple Ash and State. I've been wanting to
get to it all week, but it was so busy
I haven't chance to. Did you see did you see
the practice for APP State? I did not, so in
practice for app State, they actually app won't even like
(45:10):
give out the names. Dudes rushing the passer and he
gets he gets into it with the offensive lineman who
kind of blocks him. He rips the offensive lineman. So
this is the same team you know, black white jerseys
at Scrimmage's practice, rips his helmet off, hits him in
(45:30):
ahead of the helmet a La Miles, Garrett, Mason Rudolph
back in the Browns Steelers day. So first of all,
it just looks terrible because it's the same team. It's
everywhere app states that were handling it. He's he's gonna
be there, but they're not saying who the guy was whatever.
But we've been talking all week about like fights in
practice stuff like that, what's the what's the fight or whatever?
(45:52):
It is being you and a teammate where just it
it boiled over and maybe you went too far, maybe
you didn't. What's what's the one that you remember? What's it?
Sticks out? So I usually would.
Speaker 2 (46:02):
Always try to fight other people, like, you know, the
opposing team. Like I think I've told the story before.
There was a brawl that started against Sint John Fisher
and McCoy field, which she referenced earlier. But you asked
a teammate, You asked the teammate, So this is the
one that jumps out to me. So my junior year
there was it was one of those camps at Hobart
where like everybody wanted to get in one fight to
like I don't know if it was the machismole thing
(46:24):
I don't know if it was just like it was
a competitive camp. Everybody wanted to get in one to
get a compliment in film or that a boy from
coach or whatever. So everybody's doing it. We had a
guy by the name I'm just gonna call him Chats
for the sake of this conversation, but uh, Chaz had
never played football before ever, never played competitive football. But
(46:44):
he was massive, one of those people that's walking around
to campus and you're like, what are you doing and
he's like, no, I don't play. The coaches he was
making burritos at the Mexican restaurant on campus and the
coaches said, whoever you are, come out the football.
Speaker 3 (47:00):
That's how big Chazz is.
Speaker 2 (47:01):
And he like really, He's like, I don't whatever, Like cool,
I got recruited making burritos. So I'm going up against
Chaz Chaz playing attack on playing center at this point.
Speaker 3 (47:09):
And he hits me in a certain way.
Speaker 2 (47:11):
He got me, but then I got him and I
just kind of like upper cutted him a little bit.
But he doesn't know, like, you know, this is like
a regular guy's battling the trenches. And then he hit
me back hard and then I just went right back
at him, like right in the start of the scrimmage,
to the point where it's like, oh, we're two plays.
Speaker 3 (47:27):
In, right, But Chazz like he didn't know right and
unlike me, like.
Speaker 2 (47:33):
Hey, it's on the field. What happens on the field
stays on the field. Your buddy's after the field, I'd
be going. He stayed at the Mexican restaurant, so he
still is doing like I think it's like a college
comp job or whatever chased him out of football forever.
I'd go to get I'd get my burrito. No, no, he
played football and then kept the job, but I go
get my bread. I was like, yo, guys, why are
you gonna do me like that? I'm like, what are
you talking about? He's like, Yo, you tried to fight
(47:54):
me on the field, man, But he was watching, and
I'm like, of course everybody's watching, of course the coaches.
Speaker 3 (48:00):
What do you mean, Chess, It's let it go, man.
Speaker 2 (48:03):
We're come back two months later. Yo, guys, why you
try to fight me on the field.
Speaker 3 (48:06):
I'm like, so, Chas, you gotta let it go. Like
it was one place I will say. I will say
Goz is one of the last people to have a
real conflict, a verbal conflict, but you are terrible at
explaining your side of it when it when it finally happens,
like like like there's like two times that you and
I have ever disagreed, like really disagreed, and each time
you're just like, no, no, you're wrong. No, do you
(48:28):
want to get soda? Wait? What can we Why do
you think I'm wrong? I feel like like if you
like you now, would have told you then to explain
to chess chess in the trenches. That happens, it boils over.
It's not a real fight. I would never actually fight you.
You're my teammate, you're my guy. Blah blah blah. Now
make my burrito and put some extraquak in there. But
(48:50):
like you, I could see you back then go, dude,
get over it. Like that's it. Just get over it
and that's the end.
Speaker 2 (48:54):
I would say in that Chaz discussion, I would say
discussions the two times you and I have added to it,
I would say discussions with bosses. I would say ninety percent,
if not one hundred percent of the time I could
say whatever I want. They would be no convincing that
person was gonna think what they want for the remainder
of that. Like I could have kept saying Chazz like
it didn't matter. He would have been like, no, no, no,
we fought on the field. I was there like, no, no,
(49:16):
you're not getting it. It doesn't matter, it doesn't matter. At
this point, we're gonna move on. You're not gonna let
so that would be my biggest But.
Speaker 3 (49:21):
You get to that point before other people get to
that point. Yes, and it's probably it's probably it's probably
healthier mentally, But like me, I'm gonna be like no, no, no, no, no, no,
we're gonna we're gonna I'm gonna explain this to you,
and you're gonna get it.
Speaker 2 (49:34):
You're gonna be on my side at the end of that.
Probably not because I'm stubborn.
Speaker 3 (49:38):
Too and so so. How much bigger was he than you?
Speaker 1 (49:42):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (49:42):
He was about three or four inches shorter than me,
but he was one of the strongest people on the team.
Could are you asking could I have fought him off
the field?
Speaker 3 (49:49):
I'm saying that if on a on a football field,
would he look like the the player that would go
before you in like an like a pick them? Hmmm?
Speaker 2 (50:03):
I think we'd probably be even if you're saying if
we had a physical combat, he'd probably.
Speaker 3 (50:06):
Be if I was if I just lined up twenty
two guys and we had coaches and we're picking our
teams basic. Because you said how big Hee was.
Speaker 2 (50:15):
I would say probably heightwise, I would still go ahead
of him. But if you're looking for like beef, like
an old lineman, yeah, like he was just so unbelievably strong,
like I think it'd be fifty to fifty, I would
say myself obviously.
Speaker 3 (50:27):
Because when you said it, remind me like you look
like big ee. Imagine big e links did it? But
eight okay, and that's almost permanent for an offensive lineman
because most quarterbacks can throw over that. Yeah. Fine. When
I worked a different story than what I was even
thinking of, because like the one I was thinking of
is I played. When I played lacrosse, we got I never,
(50:50):
I never. I was always quiet in the locker room
and something like I'm quiet, I'm actually most of my life.
I was shy, like I before, like I had to
get rid of the shy before I got into radio.
But like I remember a teammate were horsing around and
I just shoved him just right and he did something
with his stick. He was missing the plastic cap on
the end of his lacrosse stick and it got in
(51:11):
my helmet and sliced my eyebrow open ooh, and like
but it was like like literally we all started laughing
instantly because we were about to go out for the
game and I looked like a crazy person in goal
that that like I looked. I looked. I looked like,
you know, like hawk or animal for the road Warriors,
because I was just bleeding and I was and when
(51:33):
I get out there, I was different. It was louder,
but because of the size thing. So we we started
a flag team that we were because a couple of
our buddies actually were like collegiate level players. They just
wanted to play more duing our in a kitchen I
worked in. His name was his name was Rick. Everyone
called him Big Rick. He was a monster. It was
like six six, probably like three fitty, not fat, not
(51:55):
like jacked, but not fat, and just like you like
literally like could pick you up movie if you wanted
to whatever. And I just remember because like how big
he was. I thought like, oh, I can hit this
dude as hard as I want because he's bigger than me.
I sent him flying across the kitchen one time, and
it was almost the same exact thing, where like he
like he landed on like a cart and he's like
(52:16):
sitting there looking at me, like why would you do that.
I'm like, I'm like, you push me first, Rick, And
he's like, I didn't push you. I'm like, Rick, you
pushed me first. He's like, I'm sorry for pushing you first, Jeff.
And but like if he went if like if that
dude ever snapped, I don't know if I would have
been all right. I don't know. I don't know because
there's like like hindsight being what it is. I probably
(52:38):
shouldn't have gone as hard as I did joking around
with that guy because he was a huge human, huge human.
But this thing, like how do you come back from
the weapon? Like you were saying, like you threw a
little uppercut, it's a little pushing. This dude held onto
it for months. Every time you got a burrito, he's
spit in your guacamole for like the rest of your life.
Like this dude took you, took your helmet off and
(52:58):
swung it at your head. That's an automatic suspension for me, like,
that's almost you can't do I don't know what expulsion
that's a weapon? Right, Like when did somebody say like.
Speaker 2 (53:08):
We can now use helmets. That's insanity to me. You're
not right in the head if you're doing that.
Speaker 3 (53:12):
Especially your own team, like like the Miles Garrett Mason
Rudolph thing always bothered me. It's I think it's like
it's funny now because everybody's okay and like whatever, but
like there's it was never like okay, okay, but at
least it was a different team, you know what I mean,
Like your own team. You dude, like you ride buses together, planes, shower,
(53:34):
gym all at like you're and you're swinging a helmet
and that dude's mellon. I don't know if I could
ever forgive a guy for a helmet, like I think
like I could forgive a guy for a punch. Obviously
the crosstick was funny, but but like an actual like
taking the helmet and doing the helmet, that's that's just
way way too far. So app Statey Don'll have to
deal with that this year. We'll see how that if
(53:55):
that comes out, if that becomes anything at all. You
got ready for the top four or four, let's do
the top forward. You can get more pizza in the
break come in. Is there more left? I haven't been
out there. I told you I didn't clean. No no cleaning,
no pizza. That's what that's how I live. It's Levet
