Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time for the Top four four with Levac and Guz.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Time for the four making stories in the world of
sports on a very rainy Friday, brought to you by
mohawknor where they always gone on the way to please you.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
And I don't I don't know why I'm so flummy
all of a sudden.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
You know what, I'll move on to story number four.
I'm not quite sure what's happening either.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
We are pretty sure there's been a war in my
saliva glands, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
Yes, we got into the top four to four late here.
If you missed it earlier in the show, Apple Spotify,
the iHeart app warpick did make an appearance. Pizza made
it appearance. Preseason football fights with teammates. We've got a
lot for the next two hours of the show. Story
number four preseason Football Tonight three games include Eagles, Ravens, Steelers, Texans, Dolphins, Falcons. Friday,
(00:49):
August ninth, That is today. I say the date out
loud because this is when it gets wacky with the preseason,
because it's called Week one, but it's not really week one,
because the Hall of Fame game was Week one. But
now there's three weeks, but they're also Thursday games other
games of note. Tonight in Levac. We can dive deeper
into this in the third hour of the show, maybe
even this hour. We'll see what happens Bills, Bears, Jets
commanders both on Saturday. Rumors floating around Orchard Park that
(01:14):
the Bills might play their starters and that game here
and yeah, we'll throw this out there is the overriding
story of before we dime deeper, anything you really want
to see out of one of those two teams, Jets
or Bills.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Uh, Keon Coleman, I'm I'm I'm very intrigued to see
how how Keon Coleman is developing. That's what I want
to If if Aaron Rodgers is healthy and plays, you know,
to if if Aaron Rodgers is healthy and plays you know,
too close to the level that defense, that special.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
Team, they should win. They should win a bunch of games.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
But when it comes to the Bills, I think if
Keon Coleman is your number one receiver and it's not
even close, they're they're going to take down the AFC.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
Bills fans, I'm gonna hold my thoughts for later. Jet
fans Here's what I want.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Also, the backup running backs for the Bills, because we
know they're gonna try and run the ball more.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
Here's what I want for the Jets.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
I want one player you've never heard of before, like
Guy fifty eight, guy sixty two, to have the greatest
performance ever. And I want Jet fan to get in
a pretzel. I want Jet fan to come on Sunday
and Monday and tell.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
Me Abana Kanda, Oh my god, hall of fame. He's
the one Jet fan. You are the victim. Admit it, Nobody.
There is not a single fan Eagles are close. Eagles
are close.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
There is not a single fan base that has gone
as crazy in the preseason about random person.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
Then the Jet fans more recently.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Recently, okay recently, I was gonna say it because every year,
there's like three straight years the Raiders had a running
back Wednesday's name is Joe Aska, and that dude would
break out like three hundred yard games every preseason against
the fourth string dudes, and I'd be like.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
This is the guy. This is the year. We found
a new Bau Jackson. We got a new Bou Jackson.
His name is that it's Bouaska. We got it, and
every year that dude wn't even make the team.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
I wanted to say your raiders here, but like an O'Connell,
you could make an argument was the best of anybody,
but he actually was a starter. But you know, he
became the start. A lot of things happened on the
way to that. But that's what I want. I want
know what happened on the way to that. He was
better than Garoppolo.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
That's what was. That's what happened. He's better than well
you hear Hoyer talk about a O'Connell.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
I want Jeff Pan to be like, yeah, so what
if at one point in our lives we wanted Bryce
Petty and we wanted Christian Hackenberg and Teddy Bridgewaters our
future quarterback? So what giant fan I saw you screaming
about Tommy DeVito and Eric Gray last night?
Speaker 3 (03:50):
We can what up you tonight.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
We'll move on to story number three, New York Yankee Baseball.
It's odd that the Yankees get the third spot in
comparison to the Mets, but made it's a compliment now
of the Met's post bonus. Lavack mentioned about twenty minutes
ago the game will not be happening tonight against the
Texas Rangers, but the series will continue on Saturday and Sunday.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
Does it mean I have.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
A problem that the way I found out it was postponed,
as I saw my bet was avoided for Play of
the day.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
Is that Gambler an early submission for the pinstrae parlay
now has to be reset when we get into that
in amount forty minutes, I.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Got a new one. I like, all right, it's almost
a desperation one.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
To be honest with you, I'm gonna offer up a
bigger question for you here, not just the Ranger series,
but that by the time you and I talk again,
they would have played the Yankees, the Rangers, White Sox,
Tigers by the time you come back on Monday, August nineteenth.
Do you believe the Yankees will be in first place?
Not just in the American League East, but maybe it's
the best record in the American League. Give you those
(04:50):
opponents again, Rangers, White Sox, Tigers.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
Tigers, definitely East. I don't know about the whole American
League right now. The White Sox series actually is the
one that I that I'm most intrigued by, because that
should be a sweep, right, Like, that's like the Rangers.
If you take two out of three from the Rangers,
or it may just be two. I didn't see when
they're doing the makeup yet, off to look in the second.
(05:14):
But I just I want to get back to being
the team that beats the teams you're supposed to beat,
Like that's who they were in the first half of
the season. They didn't have a great record against the Orioles.
They didn't have a great record they would They didn't
have a great record against great teams or even very
good ones, but they dominated the living daylights out of
anybody who was average the subpar. I want to get
(05:37):
back to that, and then the rest will fix it.
Speaker 3 (05:38):
So, Okay, your lack of confidence makes me feel that's
not a lack of confidence. That's just that's I see it.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
Doubleheader tomorrow, all right, all right, Okay, I was yelling
scream and say, that's right, guys, they're gonna be four
back the Orioles by the time I'm back here. The
Yankees have a bunch of bums they're playing.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
I'm just just being realistic.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
It's Friday, my daughter's twenty first birthday. Happy birthday, Holy Birthday, Bells.
Love you very much. About to go to the happiest
place on Earth, Disney World.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
I don't want you to cry yet. You can cry
when I get back. There's plenty of time for your tears.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
For perspective, the Orioles play the Rays, Nationals and Red Sox,
so I would say it's a little harder of a
schedule on the Oriole side.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Then the Rangers are the defending World Series champs.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
Yeah, but they're not very good this season. There, I
mean they're good, there's not great.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
And also they got to rain now, so now it's
a double header tomorrow, which we know means split.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Now, obviously it'll be the wind both. But this has
been an odd Friday.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
And if you don't even by the way, hold on Sunday.
Did you see he was pitching against the Eggs on Sunday?
No of Aaldy, the guy that we brought back from
his seventy fifth Tommy John surgery, And what's he done
since go to the Red Sox and every of their
team and just dominate the hell out of us.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
So yeah, no, it's not easy. Okay, stop talking like
it's easy.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
If you don't think today's an odd Friday because of
the weather. Maybe how you're working, whether you're remote, whether
it's your tech, whether it's your cable going.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
You just heard about.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Five minutes of me thinking the Yankees would be in
first place in Levac, defending how tough the Yankee schedule.
That was a mixed match bag of things happening. They're
usually be me pumping up the Oriols, you pumping up
the Yankees.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
As you like to say. Cats and dogs fighting in
the street, cats and dogs living together, anarchy in the street.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
Held it all right, I got it. Let's move on
a story number two here, it's the New York Mets.
They scheduled to start a series tonight ten to ten.
Who knows what the weather's gonna be out on the
Pacific Northwest Mariners for three game set a's when they
come back. The New York Mets continue to roll on,
continue to find success. This New York Met team. Here
you go, Met fan. We're about to hit mid August
(07:44):
playoff contention, top three seed and Atlanta still stinks. Right now,
all things looking good for the New York Mets. A
tough series though with the Ms here Seattle, What was
it about? Two months ago, three months ago, where Seattle
looked to be the team in the American West and
the Boogeyman came back in the Houston Astros.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
Oh. I like this question because I thought of it.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
More important series Levac for the New York Mets or
Seattle Mariners tonight, I think Matts.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
I think because I do.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
I think I think the Mets. There's we mentioned this yesterday.
There's one spot left for the Mets. It's that third wildcard.
They gotta get it, and it's between them and the Braves.
And with the way the Mets have been playing, you
don't want to show any weakness to yourself. I think
you want to start barnstorming. You know, you went to Seattle.
(08:36):
You got away from the rain, which is weird. But
uh yeah, I think it's more impart of the Mets.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
I'm gonna go to the Sandel Mariners because you're star,
because you're contrary DJ hot Takey. It's the Mariners because
if they lose this series, and there's a possibility they
go down seven games in the wild card, so they're
not gonna catch New York and they're not gonna catch Baltimore.
So one of those spots has already gone, So you
got two spots remaining. You're gonna catch Minnesota, You're gonna
(09:02):
catch Kansas City. Are you even better than Minnesota or
Kansas City?
Speaker 4 (09:05):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (09:06):
By the way, the Red Sox are ahead of you
as well, So you could potentially be down six.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
Games with about forty to play, while.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
New York, even if they bump a few games off
of this, they still get a nice two and a
half game lead over the Cardinals. You mentioned the Braves tough,
they can recover the Mets. What a compliment we're giving
the New York Mets that, Hey, even if you don't
play great against Seattle, it's far more important for the
Marriers because if they get down seven, they're not coming back.
So look at that New York Mets fans. Now, we're
(09:34):
even telling you there's teams that have more important series
as opponents against you right now than you.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
No, we're not me. I said that was it a
royal Wei got a mouse in your pocket. Let's move
on to story number one.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
Believe it or not, this Sunday is the closing ceremony
already for the twenty twenty.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
Four Olympic Games. Just like gaz always says once the
track starts, summer's over.
Speaker 4 (09:58):
I know.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
Roger Wild who.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Says on vacation, Believe it or not, Rogers took another
vacation day. Who would have thought. I've heard some things
don't change three. Now you know what he works hard.
I'm just joking around three thirty Saturday, USA US say
the men's basketball team takes on France in the gold
medal game. I bring that up almost trying to pressure
(10:21):
you in to this answer. But back when we think
back for the twenty twenty four Summer Olympics, in the
storyline that's gonna jump out to you, the event, the athlete.
What do you believe you'll remember most about the twenty
twenty four Summer Olympics dot dot dot. Yes, you can
count Saturday's game if you want.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
How unpatriotic you are? Wow, that'll be. How much you
hate Simone Biles, Noah Lyles. What do you think of
Shakari Richardson? What do you think of her?
Speaker 1 (10:46):
Just fine, it's all right, it's just so fast, so
likes pot yeah whatever, whatever?
Speaker 3 (10:54):
So fast? Did you see did you see her? What
was what was? What was it? The four five? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (11:01):
Four by one hundred relaife. Did you see her in it?
So she's she's the anchor leg she gets the baton,
she takes I mean she's running. She has that blowing hair.
She's running so fast her hair is straight back behind her.
She gets up next to the chick. She's racing again.
So I think from Brazil or something.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
I don't. I don't freaking know. Looks at her out
of the side and then ghosts like, come on, man,
she is so fast.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
That's a scene out of a movie right there, right
when they slow the movie down and here comes the
bad guy coming up on the side or the good guy,
however you want to look at it.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
By as Germany's Rebeccah has.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
So here's Rebecca, I'm doing great and he goro shikari
storry he goes, she goes full road runner and just
oh god.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
She gave her the wink to while she was a
lull buyer see a peace. She literally looked at her
out of the side like, what's up?
Speaker 3 (11:51):
You think that's fast? This fast?
Speaker 4 (11:53):
Woo?
Speaker 3 (11:54):
Someone's holding me that.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
Because of the competition, obviously they're always runing agint somebody,
but something about relay that there are times because of
when the baton's handed off, that a lot of sprinters
might actually be faster in a relay than they are
in a regular race.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
That's what I've been told. I don't know the math
behind that.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
I think it's more about the time that it can
potentially catch because when if you get the baton.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
That's an example of someone told me something. I just
saw it. There's my evidence why I believe it, and
it feels real and I'm gonna go with it. We
have a talk show, so there, I.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Would say my answer will be held until Saturday at
five thirty, when I'd find out what the difference is
between France and Team USA. That would jump out to
me that I'd most likely remember.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
Really difference. They're gonna lose, we're gonna win. That's the difference.
I think.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
I think you had your moment, and then I think Embiid,
like I watch Embiid go off that because he's he
says he's been well, everyone says he's been he's been
vilified by the French people. So someone tells me he's
gonna go off against France. He's listen. I predicted he
would go off against Onebianda, the one time things, I'll
do it again.
Speaker 1 (13:01):
I'll remember Noel Lyles, but in the hundred and then
whatever that thing was in the two hundred and some
more miles, I will remember her.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
You should remember the amazing champions stand out to me,
those are my standouts.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Amazing champions. And you're just over here hating on the world.
Uh I just heard from Darius. Ooh is he ready
for us?
Speaker 3 (13:21):
Yeah? Okay, cool, you's got a little time if you
want to call, let's do this.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
If you didn't miss it earlier, there was a rumor
flying around social media about mister Darius Prince. I like,
mister rumor, what do you mean there's a misinterpretation. Okay,
excuse me, rumor and innuendo.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
How about that? Is that a better way to do it?
Speaker 1 (13:38):
No, Darius Prince from the Albandy Firebers will address things
that have been said from his personal thing. Thank you
for wiping that off from war earlier.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
It's disgusting.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
We'll get to all that, but first to Friday in
the summer, and it's one of my favorite things to
always remember, Just like the twenty twenty four Olympic story lines,
it's Lily and David Finehielder's located at the Chops of Will.
If you're listening right now in the iHeart app. Maybe
you're listening in the Capitol region and today was your
plays to get out to Saratoga. I know about people
who set up the bachelor or bachelorette parties and then
they have gotten rained out today Lillian David find ju
(14:08):
stop over to the shops. It will Lillian David Fine
Jeelers will help you find what she's looking for yourself
a gold chain. There we go, get yourself a gold chain.
Maybe that wedding is on the way and you haven't
taken care of your wedding bands yet. Always two for
on wedding band sales going on, don't forget. Maybe you're
celebrating the anniversary. Lilian David Fine Jelers get help you.
And maybe you are on that bachelor or bachelorette party
and it's time to buy the engagement ring. I know
(14:30):
from experience of Friday the summers when I stopped over
to Lilian David Fine Jeweler's sweating, nervous getting ready for
the engagement. But Alyssa and the entire team there helped
me create those memories that I also continue to remember
she had nothing to do with the potentially now intoxicated
wife of mine getting proposed to.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
She's fine, fine, a girl. Why don't you come to
work and share.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
With the rest of us, Lillian David Fine Jewelers said, family,
family owned and operated.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
My ring. I wish I'd known what it was gonna
live to. Now.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
You create those memories, I promise you'll remember them. It
might be a new character on the show Where's the Yager?
Speaker 3 (15:11):
You talk to double next year On the Voice of
the Capital Region Sports Fan.
Speaker 4 (15:19):
It's Lovakan guys on the Voice of the Capitol Regions
Sports Fan Fox Sports ninety five and nine.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
He had another crazy season of arena football in the books,
and I think you'll be happy to know that we
were joined by the Grey One himself. I actually got
a little heat for this, but I stand by it,
in my opinion, the greatest arena football receiver I've ever seen,
Darius Prince. Darius, you started, you started a little trouble online, Darius, What.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
Are you doing?
Speaker 3 (15:48):
You want here?
Speaker 2 (15:49):
Man?
Speaker 4 (15:50):
I'm text a little back at seven.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
Alf for those who will follow you on Instagram, I'm
trying to cut you off Lavac and Darius.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
But I'm gonna set this up because I'm still you lud.
He was panied. I was panicked like other Capital Regions
sports fans.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
For those of the follow you Instagram, you had a
wonderful post, but a lot of people thought you retired
this morning. Take us through that post and if you
were actually retired or not.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
No, So.
Speaker 4 (16:14):
No man, I'm not. I'm not retiring. It was just
you know, it was I was. I was able to
get my Philadelphia Eagles jersey after six years. After the
preseason game, they collected everything. And what they did was,
I'm assuming that they optioned these jerseys off when players
don't make the final roster, whatever the case may be.
(16:35):
They put it on this type of website and there's
people actually out there, I actually buy these jerseys. So
someone trucked me down and told me that this guy
had this jersey, and I'm like, oh man, I've been
I've been trying to get this jersey for over the
last couple of months. So I finally got it. So
it just came to Orlando yesterday. So I OpEd up
the box man and they just like I just relived
that whole moment yesterday, and it really made me just
(16:57):
sit back and think about my whole career, my whole journey,
everything I've been through, the ups and downs, the good,
the bed where I started at college basketball, getting in
the football, investing in the helmet and shoulder pass. Literally
went on freaking eBay. I bought a pair of shoulder pass,
a bear pair of I bought a helmet, and I
literally invested in myself, and it really just it was
(17:18):
a surreal moment. I relived all over again, and it
just was like, damn, man, Like it had me in
the choke holl a little bit. It had me choked up,
like damn, I'm gonave sitting here just looking at my
NFL jersey, and it just made me want to put
a post out there, you know, maybe just want to
put a post out there, just to talk about my
career and everything I've done so far. Knowing that fall
the time is on. I'm on the other end of that.
I'm thirty four years old, knowing that I only got
(17:40):
to nine thirty four, for sure, none thirty four. But
in the football world, you know what I mean, that's
that's that's on the other end of the stick. So
I got plenty left in me for sure, you know.
So it's definitely one of the retirement post was more
so just to you know, I just wanted to let
the people know about my career and the reason why
I'm post and mission and to let everybody know my
(18:02):
accolades and everything like that. So it was just like
me just reliving in the moment and having this a
real moment.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
Okay, everybody and think in the Campital region, Firebird fans
included breathing a sign for relief today. But I love
how you described it there, man, cause like I don't
think enough people, whether you're a football player, whether you're
a teacher, whether you're a mom a dad, like these
reflective posts of like hey, we go through life and
we set goals and there you are holding an NFL
jersey that you compete it in with your name on it.
(18:29):
Like you want to talk about moments of like dreams,
like hey, man, I'm looking at my dream right now,
like I went out and achieve this. So okay, that
reflective post. I was stressed. Now that's really cool. That's
some good stuff and you got such you know, Darius.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
The cool part is, like so many people commented on it.
You saw so much love on social media about that
post today and that and.
Speaker 4 (18:46):
That's and that's and that's what it's about, man Like.
It was just like you know, like I go like
a lot of people like we like we deal with
a lot of athletes, you know what I mean, And
there's a lot that burs on our shoulders that people
don't know about. So just to put a simple post
something like this, just to say a few words, just
to talk about my journey where I've been through it,
just to have the people comment on it and be like, hey,
(19:08):
I remember when we played back then. I remember I
coached you here or I've known you every step of
the way, and I supported your dreams and I supported you.
I watched all your games and I've been like you know.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
What I mean.
Speaker 4 (19:17):
Just to hear people speak so highly of yourself, man,
it really just put you in a place where it's
like damn, man like, because sometimes for yourself, like believe
it or not, it's like damn, like did I really
just like did I really do it? Like you know
what I mean, Like you kind of like cluctioned yourself
a little bit, and sometimes it's like a reality check
like this in a good way to where it's like, damn, man,
like people really appreciate you, Like people really do follow
(19:38):
people really have followed your journey, Like people really do
love you out there, like you know what I mean.
So it was just good, Like it was really I'm
extremely blessed to have the fan base that I have,
and I just love everybody out there issue and I
appreciate everyone. I took the time to comment on the post,
all the shares and everything like that. Man, she really
mean a lot to meet.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
Darius friends with us right now, Fox Sports Radio. This morning,
I get a text. I get a text from guys,
is Darius retiring Boston Dan from Hooters. He's like, it
looks like you they're freaking out saying I'm like, no, no, no,
I like I feel like I feel like I would
know if it was gonna happen. But I will say,
I love that you're taking a second, like in the
off season, because we all know like you're gonna start.
Speaker 3 (20:18):
I mean we don't all know, but anybody who.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
Watches closely, you know, you give yourself a little healing
time and then you ramp up training. But to give
yourself a second to kind of smell the roses and
see what you've been through to get where you are.
Is is that Do you think that's something that's that's
happening for you now because of what you've had to
go through recently, like like in the dreaded twenty three
and then this year was so crazy, Do you think
(20:43):
that gives you the ability to kind of look at
it and kind of take it in now while you're
still in it.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
Absolutely, for people that I spoke to about, especially about
rash or the twenty three season, football, just that's my
safe place, you know what I mean. That's that's where
whether practice, whether it's the game, whether it's traveling on
the road, that's a place where I'm at where all
my world life problems go away, you know what I mean.
So to have that taken away from me last year
(21:10):
and for that to be a problem in my life,
you know what I mean. Twenty three was a rough year,
you know what I mean, Like that that was tough
for a lot of people, you know, especially in the
Capital region, you know what I mean. So being able
to get this Jersey man that really just like you said,
like just kind of just put me in that Gune
word like that man, like, I really came a long way.
I faced so much adversity. You know, I doubled down
(21:31):
on myself. You know, I vested in myself. I bettered myself.
I believed in myself. I sacrificed so much time, family time,
daughter time, you know what I mean, away from home,
living on the road. You got to think about it.
Ever since two thousand and sixteen, I lived on the
road six months out the year, you know what I mean.
So I sacrificed a lot of time with my loved ones,
you know what I mean. So it was just like
(21:53):
definitely going back to the twenty three years was definitely
something where I could look back like that and I
really been through a lot, man, And the people that's
been with me on my journey. Man, it's such a
blessing just to see people take the time to comment
on it and and and share their thoughts and and
and our memories that we share together.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
You mentioned the six months on the road and the sacrifices.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
For those of you who know, where are you right now?
Where are we talking to you from.
Speaker 4 (22:15):
I'm in Orlando, Yeah, yeah, I mean I'm in Orlando
right now, So.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
You get you get to like have a little off
season time.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
What's what's a day like on a Friday for you?
Fixed by the pool?
Speaker 4 (22:31):
Oh yeah, so right now, just just made me come
a little bit of lunch. So yeah, I might go
walk over to the pool. I got a community pool
that the complex I live in, So probably post up
at the pool for a little bit. And and uh,
I'll probably watch the NFL game tonight that come on
(22:51):
the preseason games. To be honest, Okay, excuse me, what
my like the season just two weeks ago, So I
give myself a little bit of time. So I really
I haven't really focused on going back to the gym
or anything like that. More so, just let my body
just get take a break, you know what I mean,
Like my body needs a break.
Speaker 3 (23:07):
You know.
Speaker 4 (23:07):
I had a pretty pretty rough season. Took a lot
of took a lot of big hits. So right now
it's just about my body recovery. And you know I'll
be kicking it up here soon though.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
All right, So wait a minute, So so I always
joked that you're from Philly, but you're from You're from Pittsburgh.
You yeah, you live in Orlando, Albany claims you where's home? Now,
like if you like when you say I'm going home,
where is it?
Speaker 4 (23:30):
Oh? Man, that's what that's that's it's a sure not
in Orlando, no, man, it's it's it's it's seriously, man,
I mean, Pittsburgh would always be Pittfer will always be home. Man.
But I mean for those who know I've been in
I've been in Albany since and then out of Albany
since twenty twenty one. And I just was in Albany
(23:53):
since October, you know what I mean. So I vote,
I was open in Albany for a full year. Now.
It's my first time doing that. And you know, I
like to think about it as my second home, you
know what I mean. Like, I love it there. I
was coming down twenty twenty one. Man, they just embraced
me with so much love, man. And and I'm forever
grateful for that, man. And I'm in debt for them,
for everybody in the Capitol region, for the love they
showed me, the love they showed my family, just everybody,
(24:15):
the way they support us, man, they show out. So
you know, that's always love. Man's that's that's my second home.
Uh So, Darius, if I had a home a and
a home beat.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
Yeah, then Philly and then.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
So but all right, so earlier earlier during the show,
I'm sitting here and I got distracted you like I've
watched when you when you and I started working together
in twenty one, like you you were still like I
saw you taking the leadership reins, but there were still
there was like other leaders also a team, Like you've
become the leader of the team in the locker room
all that, like there's no question when you're out there,
(24:52):
but you still you get abused by our boys, any
Gelcher Mike Corda, Like I'm sitting there watching them put
these like pictures you we're cool enough to say I
miss my friends, and they came at you with both barrels. Man,
I just I think they need to they need to
admit that they miss you too. I think we should
call them all.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
I'm gonna say. Man, I'm like, I'm like, you know,
I'm sitting there, landing there. You know, it's Friday. You know,
usually I'm still in my game mode, believer or not,
even though we lost, Like I'm still I'm still fresh
off this season. So I'm thinking like us the day
before the game, and I'm just laying there. They just
hitting me like damn man, Like you know, we're all
in the group chat. We're responding back and forth to
each other, and I'm like, man, I missed my friend. Man,
I really mish you guys. So I put that in
(25:31):
the chat and it's like, bag, I take it. Love
you got you got to be vulnerable at one moment.
You don't take it for god. Man, I'm like not
at leaving alone. Showed me some love though her. My
dog's coming down here on Sunday. Man, we're going to
meet up.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
Yeah, absolutely, but because now my daughter is twenty one,
so we might have to go buy her some some azool.
Speaker 4 (25:54):
Hey, you got to give her some drinks. He's only right.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
Darius schooled me up. Man.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
I was I was under appreciating the tequila part of
the menu, and Dwayne Hollis, I now understand that there's
you can't go past it. You got to stop there.
Speaker 4 (26:10):
I'm trying to tell you, man, Like you know, I
know people they think of tequila and they're like, that's house.
They drink the bull crap tequila. You gotta get the
you get the zool, You'll be like wow, Okay, I
understand why you guys drink that. You know what I mean.
So we're really good.
Speaker 3 (26:26):
We are love it, we are very hard.
Speaker 4 (26:28):
I'm going to have them today.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
Celebrate the fact that you're not retiring like guys just
trying to push you into I was.
Speaker 4 (26:33):
Just saying, thank God. If hey, God, if you want
to act like Mikey, you want to act like and
you don't love me today, just say that. Broell something.
You want me to retire and never come back to
the Capital region. Broth.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
No, here's the problem, right, we got Becky Lynch rather
than the holding I got that. I got CD Lamb
for the Cowboys putting up weird stuff on O. Shall
I wake up in the morning, I see Darius Prince
put this.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
Out of.
Speaker 4 (27:05):
Audible.
Speaker 3 (27:06):
Throw the show right out. We need to call him.
Get down to Orlando today, Screw Sunday.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
I'm happy, you know what, everyone pours some of that
today and celebrate that he's not going anywhere any time soon.
Speaker 3 (27:17):
I'm happy to report that right here a Fox Sports exclusive.
Speaker 4 (27:21):
Yeah I'm not I'm not going anywhere.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
Man.
Speaker 4 (27:23):
It was just this kind of just a person I
wanted to put out there for myself and for the
people that that follow my journey. That's all it was.
Speaker 1 (27:29):
Man.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
Absolutely, God's breaks news that there is no news.
Speaker 4 (27:36):
Breaking news live at no news.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Oh Man, Well, Darius Man, we can't wait till you're back,
are you Are you gonna come back early again this
year or do you know yet?
Speaker 3 (27:48):
I mean, are we still in the planning phase?
Speaker 4 (27:50):
We're still on the plant phase if it's up to me, Yeah,
you know what I mean. Like I said, Man, I've
been nursed last October and I loved it there. Obviously
I've been there in the last four years, but actually
being there doing the off season, getting on the community,
doing community events, interacting with the people, just trying to
rebuild the brand, you know, that was that was special
(28:10):
for me last last off season. So I would love
to do it again this season. So we just got
to put it in the works, you know what I mean.
So we'll we'll we'll hear something soon within the next
next week or so, and we'll go from there.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
I love it, man.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
Well yeah, listen, Disney Springs, you know, let me know
when you can make it over there or wherever, because
I'm not gonna have a car with me.
Speaker 3 (28:28):
So we got to meet somewhere on the bus line.
Speaker 4 (28:29):
You know, hey, look man, look you ain't gonna have
a no wild I need to live over to you.
It ain't no problem, ain't no dang.
Speaker 3 (28:38):
But let's go. Man.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
We appreciate you as always. Capital Reason loves you, and
I will say that I get invited to way less
events now they're all like, hey, can you send Darius
so you know which works for me. I like a
little downtime. I'm not mad about it.
Speaker 4 (28:56):
Man, I love it. The man sis man, it's a
common region. Man, that's not taking home. Seriously, man, I
love it there and I appreciate everybody there.
Speaker 3 (29:05):
So thank you, Glass, thank you, gods. You're good. You
calm down. I'm good. Thank you, Terrius. We'll talk, my friend.
Speaker 4 (29:11):
We're good, good, I'm very.
Speaker 3 (29:16):
Well.
Speaker 4 (29:16):
Look I told the guys I missed my friends. No
one said they missed me. Can you tell me that
you missed me? At least make me a little bit better?
Speaker 3 (29:21):
I miss I.
Speaker 1 (29:22):
Miss you so much, many of you. A big hug,
A goss the bear hug next time I see you.
How's that sounds too far? A man?
Speaker 4 (29:34):
Appreciate it, have a good day.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
That's that's my guy. Like I said it better. I knew.
Like when you said it this morning, I was like, no,
I didn't even see his post yet, but I like
I knew, I knew, I had a feeling what it was.
I didn't know it was about the Eagles jersey, so
I was it was cool to see it, but I knew. Listen,
he's not going toward just yet. He's got he's got
stuff to do still.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
He's got that's a that's a goal oriented dude right there,
and you know he's got to come back and hang
with his best good friend, Andy Gelcher over at at
Mohawks Chevrolet.
Speaker 3 (30:02):
Look at that.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
What a perfect segue between Mike Cord and Andy Gelcher.
It's like there's a joke going around, and I don't
know how much a joke it is. That Darius Prince
is a is a silent owner of the team. But
one thing I do know is he loves Mohawks just
like the rest of us. We've done a bunch of
work up there. He was driving around that Mohawk Chevrolet
Trailblazer for most of the season, helping get the word
(30:24):
out about how great Mohawks Chevrolet is. So whether you're
looking at Service. You know maybe today, maybe you're driving
around a little leak with all this rain. Service department
will find it, fix it, take care of it, or
at least give you the good recommendation and get it
taken care of. Recharge that air conditioning. Start looking at tires, now,
get ahead of the curve. Do what you got to
do to make sure you love your ride. And if
you don't, how about how about a little how about
(30:46):
some great deals over at Mohawks Chevrolet. They are going
to take such good care of you. That's what they do.
They want you to love what you drive as much
as I love Scar Joe as a look out the
window at my Silverado or should I say Rotto as
that's they're looking beautiful. Make sure that you stop by
and get yourself set up with a beautiful Chevrolet from
(31:06):
Mohawks Chevrolet just off Exit twelve. Together, let's drive at
Mohawks Chevy where they always go out of their way
to please you.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
We've got some controversy in the play of the day.
It could be affecting you across the Capital region as well.
You might want to hear the insight and what you
and I have to solve involving something we've been doing
for a while.
Speaker 3 (31:22):
That's the next Fox Sports Radio ninety five to nine
and nine eighty.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
It's Avakan Guz on ninety five nine Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
Always good to hear from the coach Darius Prince.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
It's always gnat like we we used to battle and
now it's like, what do you mean you and Darius, yeah,
oh yeah, well you heard some of it right there,
Like we just used to we we just come at
things from different angles and it took a little while
to you know, to win each other over, you know,
like and now we're boys like that. Those are like
the best friends a lot of times too. Like there's
people you click with right away, that's that are that
(31:54):
will you know, be in your life forever. But then
there's the people that you gotta you gotta almost have
like a common enemy to figure each other out out.
And we've had more than one common enemy, way more
than one, some more famous than others. The time for
the play of the day, it's brought to about Mohawk Chevrolet. Together,
let's shrive at Mohawks Chevy where they always go out
(32:15):
of their way to please you. Now with supplier pricing, oh,
what's your play? Guys, Before we.
Speaker 1 (32:20):
Get to the play of the day, we need a
big time rule interpretation here today. Okay, because what has
happened today If you've been listening to the show, if
you feel like that sounds different for those two and
maybe you've been under a rock. The Saratoga Friddy schedule
of racing where we usually are is not happening today.
Speaker 3 (32:37):
It has been called off.
Speaker 1 (32:38):
We are in studio today for the first time in
the history of the show on a Friday in the summer,
we are here now here we also have the Naira
Bett's Challengevac. This would be our play today. We'd be
giving who we were wagering on the big races today.
We're battling right now. We're only within seventeen dollars of
each other. So I said we double up next week. Ooh,
and then see that's the problem here because Levac is
(33:02):
off next week.
Speaker 3 (33:03):
Here's my Let me throw this.
Speaker 1 (33:05):
Rule idea out to you, because next week, next Friday,
there will be just three fraudays remaining for the track season.
Each week we play with ten dollars maximum, five dollars minimum.
Here's my suggestion. We just get ten extra dollars to
use at your leisure.
Speaker 3 (33:20):
Okay, like it.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
So rather than having thirty dollars remaining in the pot,
we have forty. If next week you're like, you know
what closer Brian Maryannad's in for me. I'm gonna usee
to my ten dollars, but I want to be there
in person of fire off my other fifteen dollars or.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
I see something and I go, you know what, let's
go put twenty ten dollars one time I show on
somebody or something like that.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
Perfect. So forty dollars remains in the pot can.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
Be used as usually used as you see fai if
you want to use three, three, four, you want to
use ten twenty one week, good bouncer.
Speaker 3 (33:51):
That's my suggestion. It looks like you're very much into it. Yeah,
that works.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
I'm good with that because I was just gonna, you know,
blow it off because I didn't you know, I didn't
think about it, to be honest with you.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
And I kind of liked that idea because knock on wood,
you and I are getting kind of hot right now
when it comes to horse racing. We've had a good
solid seven days from three hits last week.
Speaker 3 (34:09):
So what on the last bat last year.
Speaker 2 (34:11):
Yeah, so you just added to if Carl Spackler is
running that last Friday.
Speaker 1 (34:17):
More drama to build the drama and everything else than
even though you won't be there next week.
Speaker 3 (34:21):
That is the new rule.
Speaker 1 (34:21):
So if you're looking for horse racing play, we're not
doing Saturday or Sun East card. But we love Matthew
De Santis and everybody, but we're holding until the rest
of the summer.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
For our player. No one to hold them. You have
to know one to fold them, no one to walk away.
And you should know when to run. Don't count your
cards when you're sitting at the table.
Speaker 3 (34:38):
You count your money. Yeah, we should. That was a
former pitcher in Major League Baseball. Also, yes, did.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
You see they remade the bandit song east Bounding Down,
east Bounding Down, Loaded Up and trucking. Jake owens Ree
did it? They're giving away a schwab trans am.
Speaker 1 (34:56):
Oh, I did not see that. I did see that
John hash hands put on. I believe the shredded version
of roundball rock. When I think about the history of sound,
you know, like cave men couldn't figure it out history
of sound, I would say round ball rock in the
new version might be what cavemen dreamed of when music began.
Speaker 3 (35:17):
Doubt it. There's probably crackling fires all they could. It's
not the best song of all time.
Speaker 1 (35:22):
It's not my favorite, but it might be the greatest
thing in the history of recorded music.
Speaker 3 (35:26):
No no, no, no, Basketball and don't care.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
Basket don't it? That's Saturday life. Skin is great, man,
every time.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
You scared me Man that.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
I don't think anybody, whether you're like hip hop, whether
you're like R and B country rock, I don't know
if I've ever heard of human being on planet Earth
not like the song round Ball Rock, and people don't
know what the hell it is like I would never
if I was never told that that's what it was.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
There's a lot of songs you can kind of figure out,
you like, lose yourself like whatever, you know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (36:05):
Like you.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
Like it's not don't wand tell nothing about that says
it's round ball rock, but it is basketball in my brain.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
We're gonna play basketball highlights over the songs. The Snlkid says, well,
how will they know.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
Artists?
Speaker 1 (36:21):
Those test brothers? So yeah, there are some of our
favorite songs we like. Oh play the day. I didn't
give you play at all, distracted by John Tesh's artistry.
I'm gonna take the Orioles money line. I'm gonna take
the San Francisco Giants money line. So it's plus one
sixty tonight. I want a West Coast game I can watch. Uh,
this feels like one of those days are gonna be
in all day long in the Capital Regis. If you're
saying up late on a Friday, making it a movie night,
(36:44):
a late night, take a West Coast game. I'll take
the Orioles getting underway into a little less than two
hours here. So give me O's Giants two money lines
plus money.
Speaker 3 (36:52):
That's my play, all right.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
My original play of the day was rained away as
part of the Pinstripe parlay, which you know I love you.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
It would have.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
Been Yankees' money line. It would have been Judge and
Stanton to hit home runs, because I just when that happens,
they win games and then over nine all voided out.
It was a beautiful play. I loved it very much.
I'm replacing it with the A's Blue Jays over eight
and a half home runs from Brent Rooker and Vladdie
(37:24):
Guerrero Junior.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
Shame, shame, shame on me. I like your play. I
do most of the times. I'll go back and forth.
I did not pay off that tease. Yesterday about the
Toronto Blue Jays, the Toronto Blue Jays ownership group said,
this is a wasted season.
Speaker 3 (37:39):
Beck, can you met? That's a scene out of the
Major League. Hey, we're done, we suck, We're terrible. This
season is a waste.
Speaker 1 (37:44):
I mean, you could admit that to your fans in public.
How do you feel for your an employee. Imagine your boss.
You got four months.
Speaker 3 (37:50):
Left to go in the year. Yeah, we wasted this year.
Speaker 1 (37:52):
Oh boss, rally the troops there, huh for that four Look,
we made a mistake.
Speaker 3 (37:57):
These guys suck. We can hear you.
Speaker 4 (38:00):
We have the internet.
Speaker 3 (38:01):
I mean the Blue Jays are tough. Keep rolling with
betting against the Blue Jays. I know he took the
over there in the home run. I need Brett ruokerd
at home home run.
Speaker 2 (38:08):
I think Vladi will hit one because both those teams
are trash. Jas are actually favored, So maybe you want
to go ahead and grab the a's of that one.
Speaker 3 (38:17):
Guys.
Speaker 1 (38:20):
I want the Blue Jays to keep losing with gosh,
there's also a little spite of that because Flag Junior
did look at against Baltimore yesterday. He's so good, man,
I feel like I want to take him every week
in the home run that's by the way. Yeah you
mentioned Rooker there. He's got keep going for you. Yeah,
because what do I have today, tomorrow and Sunday.
Speaker 2 (38:38):
That's right, all right, I need a home run from
him or I outsmart than myself.
Speaker 3 (38:42):
He'll hit one because he was he was on such
a tear.
Speaker 2 (38:44):
And the Blue Jays give up a ton of home runs,
so they give more home runs than any team in
the Major So that's mye Let's go. Let's go remind
them how bad they are, guys, tell them, tell them
you stink. There it is, hey, listen, what does his
stink is a great ice sleep And that's where doctor
Red Dreer and the Integratve Sleep Center and Boss the
Spot comes in.
Speaker 3 (39:03):
Here's the number.
Speaker 2 (39:03):
Okay, you write this number down and then I'm gonna
tell you why five one eight eight eight five six
point eight five five eight eight five six one eighty five.
I have what's known as obstructive sleep avenue, which causes
all kinds of health issues. I stop breathing in my sleep.
I think that's why I'm claustrophobic. I had weird dreams
about that. I know that that's why I would lose
my voices as snoring, I would have blood pressure issues.
(39:27):
They're all a lot of things. All started getting better
instantly when I started sleeping without sleep atnee and that's
with a mouthpiece. He's my airway open. So I'm breathing
throughout the night. I'm not snoring nearly as loud. My
daughter has reminded me now seventy times to bring my
mouthpiece with us to Disney. It has changed a lot
of things for me. It's made things all better. Uh
(39:49):
no hoses, no wires, easy to clean, easy to travel with.
Just a complete game changer. So I recommend that you
make the call five one eight eight eight five six
one eight five. If you're having trouble sleep and whatever
you need, make sure you make the call doctor Frederick
and the Integram Sleep Center and boss of Spot helping
me sleep better, They're gonna help you sleep better too.
Speaker 3 (40:07):
At the third hour.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
Coming up next, the back Guys, Fox Sports Radio ninety five,
nine and nine eighty
