Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's Lovack and Guz on the voice of the Capitol
Regions Sports fan Fox Sports ninety five to nine and
nine eighty.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Line with the g G Toys Studio. That's toys with
a Z. It is Lavack and guys. I'm sure you
thought a short time before, guys, I'm done. I'm leaving
Blacking bye.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Well, I'm glad you're here. Two more segments I got
you for because we're going to close out the show
with a very impactful interview we got coming up to
close the show today. So you got two more segments
to go, Lavak before I'm going to dismiss you. The
bell doesn't dismiss you. I dismiss you, mister Belding, say
by the bell. So you got two more segments before
you close out this Friday edition before you head to Disney.

(00:38):
I teased in the top four to four though, what
should Jet fans and Bill's fans expect about tomorrow's preseason action?
What can you look forward to? What are the storylines?
What is gonna get now? I asked the question and
didn't answer it, though, I give you a little teaser,
a little appetizer, Lavac. I said that I want one
crazy Jet no Name, to have an unbelievable game, to
have Jet Fang go crazy and annoint them as the

(00:58):
savor of the franchise. I don't think that's as likely.
I guess I'll ask you the question Jets Bills. For
the fan base, what should they hope for in this
matchup against the Commanders for the Jets and then the
matchup against the Bears against the Bills, which I'm sure
we'll see on Hard Knocks later on in HBO this summer.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
For the for the Jets. Like I guess, it's just
like you're looking depth, right, you want to see who's
behind Aaron Rodgers in case the worst case scenario happens again.
But realistically again for me with the Bills, it just
comes down to comes down to the you know, Keon Coleman,
comes down to you know that that defense that is

(01:37):
fresh and young, like it's a it's a different They've
got a major turnover, but I'm not worried about them.
I just want to see fun. If Keon Coleman is
as open as Leak Neighbors was, I'm thrilled for the Bill.
I think the Bills are onto it.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Going back to that Jet I'll start with the Jets first,
so they play the Commanders, and I've been getting grief
for it as it still sits out there in podcasts
worldland of my prediction that not only would the Commanders
get to the postseason, but they'll win double digit games
this year. The thing why this game is more important
for Commander players, not the rosters. You win or lose
this game, I won't affect the season unless an injury happens.

(02:14):
Is because they have a new head coach, is because
they have new ownership. Is because they have new decision makers.
That what you thought would have been safe in twenty
twenty three is no longer safe in twenty twenty four. Oh,
by the way, they've got a new quarterback who was
a number two overall pick. So the Commanders are going
through these changes. So what you thought would have been
safe in the past isn't it anymore. So, so many
guys are battling for roster spots, So many guys are

(02:36):
battling for carries, touches, plays, all those things. So this
game is massive for the Commanders of what their season
is gonna look like because of who's.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
It gonna be.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
Are there really super intriguing Jet position battles, Like, are
we really gonna struggle to figure out who the impact
players are for the Jets? Maybe you and I just
do this so often and talk about this team so
often that for us it's a little bit easier. But
I don't feel like there's gonna one guy who's gonna
They got a ton of veterans and they brought him
Mike Williams, they got Garrett like we could run through them.

(03:05):
So when it comes to the impact players, and like
you said, it's about depth for this for the Jets,
while for the Commanders it's who's gonna be our playmakers?
Who is gonna be the guy going forward? So Jet fan,
maybe another wide receiver? I would, but I can't. I'm
even like struggling with that because, like I'd like to
see Rogers throw him the football. Maybe you can see
how bad it is that Zach Wilson wasn't twenty twenty

(03:27):
three When I have somebody else besides him throwing the football.
This feels like one of these things. I'm not gonna
wager on this game, but gosh, it feels like Washington
he could get like a touchdown early or we get
a like fourteen nothing in solid by like I've seen enough.
I've seen enough. Get him off the field, run him around,
We'll wait to Rodgers gives. I feel like they don't
care as much as what you just said about Buffalo

(03:49):
Keon Coleman, Josh Allen. Starters are expected to take the field.
Do they just want to look good for HBO Max?
Do they just want to hear your leave shreiver say
their name? I get like a cool spotlight. Are you
a little confused as to why this is going on?
Why Buffalo wants to play the starters?

Speaker 2 (04:05):
No? I I I think it's a mindset thing. I
think they want to play and they want them to
play and listen, it's a ton of turnover. Like when
you look at the Jets right you are Rogers, Hall, Wilson,
They're all Gibson, they were there last year. You know,
you brought in Mike Williams. Hopefully he gets you know,
hopefully he's healthy enough to get there some point. Alan
Lazard rumor is he looks like he's bought back in.

(04:26):
He looked like he kind of fell out. But the
majority of the Jets were here last year. Now do
that same thing with the bills roster and it's it's
there's quite a bit of turnover. There's quite a bit
of difference, you know when you look at the defensive
side of the ball, like you know your your safeties
in your corners and stuff like you know, Little Live Fire,

(04:49):
go through the what it's like to prep for a
real game, because that could be it too. Don't forget
mcdermot's that, dude, what I want you to feel, what
it's like to start a football game together. I want
you to leave the hotel, come to the facility, you know,
do the whole thing. I want you to go through

(05:09):
the steps that we do every game day because I
want it out of your system by the time we
do it, real Live Fire, I I like it. I
would prefer you did it to be honest with at
least a drive.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Josh Allen, do you see his quote about what he
said about playing No, he said, uh, as some outlets
have viewed, it doesn't feel strongly either way.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Quote.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
I don't feel like it makes a difference for me
at this point in my career. To get things rolling
would be nice, but I understand not getting out there
and making sure that we're being healthy and being productive. Again,
it's a double edged sword anyway you look at it.
If I'm asked to play, I play. If I'm told
not to play, I won't play. So the competitive juice
is in me want to play. But I understand week
one we still got time. That is a beautiful answer. Yeah,
well hold on, that's how you do. You're kind of

(05:51):
what your VACA saying here. It's like, hey, I want
to everybody, whether it's him or Calebilites if he plays,
run through the pregame, make it feel like a game.
Get those reps in. If you don't, you're Josh Allen
at this point, you're a top two to three or someone,
say one Mahomes is still there, Jackson on the MVP
of quarterbacks in the NFL. If we got it, if
you want to do it, that's great.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Even his answer for Steph Diggs, Yes, do you miss
Stefan Diggs? Miss? No, I wouldn't say I miss him.
I like what our guys are doing. I know he's
a gamer and he's doing great things and blah blah blah,
but no, I like where our guys are at. Like
I thought it would be one of those as a friend. Yeah,
that was my guy. I missed him as a friend,
but you know, as as a team you move forward.
But he was right there. He's you talk about a

(06:33):
guy that does it right, and it's Josh Allen. Like
when we were there and he's signing autographs. His grandmother
sitting on her chair, waiting to get together with the boy.
You know, the family's waiting, but he's like, Hey, the
fans are here, I'm gonna sign outgraphs. He's the one
he's putting. There's videos when putting the hat on kids
in the stands. You if you don't like Josh Allen,

(06:55):
you must know something I don't know.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
I'm a fan, you're a fan. A lot of people aren't.
Bills fans don'troot agains him critically, it's hard to root
against him. Let's play a new game. I'm gonna call
it guess the Internet. It's a frightening game. Look, which
one of these two things will get more traction? I
guess You can make it in three categories. If you
want to rank him, which one of these three three
things will make the Internet break? Potentially one gable Steve Hasson,

(07:21):
one of the most decorated Olympic wrestlers of all times
debut for the Buffalo Bills, who's never ever put on
a set of shoulder pads until training camp, making his
debut in the NFL, never played football before. Travis Clayton,
also on the Buffalo Bills, who was drafted out of
England as a part of the International Player Pathway program.

(07:42):
There's a lot of peace as a seventh rounder who
also has never played football before. Both are taking the
field expected to on Saturday for the Bills. Will one
of those twos? Will call it highlights or low lights?
Break the Internet or choice number three like it happened
for Hard Knocks. Caleb Williams has been going viral because
the Internet reacted to a scene in which it can

(08:02):
see with him with a purse. Well, Caleb Williams do
something that, let's say not traditional for quarterbacks to break
the internet? Well that your choice? What will win the Internet?

Speaker 2 (08:13):
It's more likely it's the Caleb Williams thing. Did you
see the theory behind these guys, these these these big
brutes that they're bringing in, these rugby players, these these
wrestlers waiting in Stevenson. It's because of the new kickoff,
because of the short distance that you get to get
before you before you are, you try to, you know,
take over your ground. That's what's love it. There's the Beast,

(08:37):
the bees, you're trying to get in again. I'm leaving
for a week. Bees haha, sting somebody else good.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
I love this, not the Beast. I mean the science
behind this, of the kick off. I guess that's the bed.
The transcer won't look good for that. Uh, that's great.
Somebody's gonna figure out the math to this. It's gonna
be a new position. I've been saying that all week,
trying to evaluate what works more wonderful You're to give
me Olympians and guys who are just massive can make plays,
and you believe it's gonna help special teams. I'm willing
to let that thory run until it's proven wrong, and

(09:04):
it might get proven wrong Saturday. But I also agree
with you. Well, I mean, I think so far, I
think they're gonna zoom in on these guys, hoping they're
gonna screw up in the internet, can roast him like.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Dude, or they scoop slammed somebody. It's like, whoa wait
a minute, this is maybe you're onto something the Caleb
Williams thing, like if you if you get upset about
that stuff, you gotta go touch grass, go do something else,
like don't zoom in on a.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Hard knock, Loo, what's you doing?

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Satchel.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
Indiana Jones had one like this is who he is,
Like everyone's known this, Like he likes fashion, he likes
to do these things. He doesn't bother me. He's a
different cat.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
He clearly brother. There's other people and he doesn't. I
wouldn't say it bothers me, but most importantly doesn't bother him.
As long as it never bothers him that people are
talking about it, go for it, go after it. But
if it starts, if he starts hearing it and he
starts reacting to it, then it could be a problem
because that's that's when you're inviting criticism for something has

(10:07):
nothing to do with what you do. As long as
you can handle it, go ahead, rock and roll. But
the second I look over.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
And you're like, why are they picking on me, I'll.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Be like, dude, put the pocketbook down, let's go.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
Caleb Williams with the purse is like the guys who
had ear rings at a certain time, or guys who
had long hair at a certain time, A clearly generational
thing that I'm sure at that point of their generation,
Like what do you mean, what do you mean he's
got an earring? What do you mean he's got long hair?
This is the generation version of that, Like what do
you mean he paints his nails and wears the like

(10:40):
this is in the meat. You don't think it's different.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
Do you think that Rex or West are gonna come
home with a pocketbook earlier nails painted? I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
I would hope not in the sense that like, why
do you need to have that as public? Like I
wouldn't understand that. I wouldn't understand it. I would ask
why you know? But I can't say, like without a
shadow of doubt that's going to happen because how he
views that, both my sons won't be the same way
I probably view it. And that's probably how Gael Williams
have used it that like I just ran for two
hundred and ten yards at eight touchdowns, but I had

(11:10):
my name on my nails. That's what got people work. Okay,
you should have worried about tackling me. Sure where it
is stop in the past. If he plays well, it's
not gonna matter. Also like right now, those same like
old school Chicago Bear. What's wrong with this guy over
here with his pocket book and his nails paint? He
throws three touchdowns and runs one in on opening where
he does that against the Lions and the Bears or

(11:31):
you know, the Lions of.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
The Packers or whatever. And I just got a new pocketbook.
What do you guys think? What you like? It's just
statcheled Bobby. Oh, sorry, like you.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
Know there is something I painted du Bears on my nails.
I have to admit this as a sports radio host,
there is something cool. There is something to this for him,
whether it's controversy, whether it's excitement, whether it's getting people
worked up with emotions about what they see about. I'm
going to be vulnerable enough talking about Kla Williams here.
I'm gonna be vulnerable enough to physic show you something

(12:01):
you can criticize about me, whether it's my like Joe
Burrow's hair is bleach blonde, he's painting his nails. He's
at Okay, I'm gonna give you the easy stuff to
make fun of you about. And watch what, like you said,
watch what happens when I outplay. You watch what happens
when I do this, and look, this is the history
sports Joe Namath gave people to talk about Dion the
way he acted. I think people would be concerned of

(12:22):
can you not give reasons as to why you'd face criticism,
Like that's why fathers or uncles or grandparents be like
you're gonna face criticism from strangers. Don't make it easier
for them to face that criticism. But some people are like,
this is my thing and I'm gonna show people how
I can do it. There's that's pretty badass, like that
would be cool, Like you're putting out like I'll do
it the way I want to do it. I have

(12:42):
my own style, my own fashion. So I think it's
a pretty easy answer, though. It's about how Caleb Williams
will dry people insane on the internet, yep.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
One hundred and and then again if he's good, you know,
well name it is wearing pantyhose. What's wrong with him
over there wearing panty hose? This guys don't wear those.
You just threw four touchhouse. I mean they do make
his legs look nice.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
I will you know, Tom Brady's got Uggs and Russell
Westbrooks wearing his whatever he does the games.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
Yep, no, no, it's it is. It is what it is.
But yeah, as long as you can handle it, as
long as you can handle the criticism, fine, But if
you're inviting criticism that you can't handle and it affects
your ability to make millions and millions and millions of
dollars at the quarterback, now you should be a stupid.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
It's gotta be going back to like what we do
for a living, Like if you talk trash, Like if
you went out in the public and like said like
we're gonna smoke Buffalo and then had to come back
and defend yourself. I feel like I would be personally
more comfortable with defending what I said because I talked
for a living. I feel like you would be more
comfortable defending what you had said because you talked for
a living. I have to remember if people don't do that,
they have other ways where they can defend how they've acted,

(13:46):
performed or we'll say.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
You know earlier with Darius, like when when I first
met Darius as a friend, not as as as an
op it was he was nervous to get on microphones.
Now He's like, all right, cameras, microphones, let's go, let's
do he could He could if the AFL took off
and they he could be a studio guy in the future,
if you want it. He could be the guy they

(14:08):
cut back to and he goes, this is why this
game sucked, This is why this game is great. Maybe
he should just, you know, start elevating his brand today
with Elevation ten thousand. Oh he could.

Speaker 3 (14:17):
The elevation ten thousand. Uh oh man, I looked down.
I'm like, I'm not wearing Elevation ten thousand shirt. I'm
wearing a Ninja Turtle shirt. Ninja Turtles are back tonight.
I've been talking about marketing and advertising. Does elevation ten
thousand work with the teenage mutant Ninja Turtles. They're all
over the place social media, marketing and more. Elevation ten thousand,
can you make you the teenage mutant Ninja Turtles of

(14:37):
the Capitol region or your business if.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
You want that. I mean, if you think about what
your budget is, they'll sit down with you. You'll come
up with a plan. The strategy is it? You know?
Do you need a new website. Do you need an
online store? Do you need Maybe billboards are the right way,
maybe maybe online advertising. Whatever it is, it's gonna make
your brand obvious to the people that you need it
in front of. That's what Elevation is gonna help you do.

(15:00):
Then the apparel, the signage, just day to day, the
things that you're like, Man, I wish I knew somebody
could help me with this. It's Elevation ten thousand. Elevates
your brand today with Elevation ten thousand. It's Fox Sports
Radio ninety five to nine and nine.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
Eighty Base of the Capitol Regions Sports Fan Fox Sports
ninety five, nine and nine eighty.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
No music. I don't get music on my last break?
What's going on my last break for a week? And
there it is, Oh you gonna be my girl. I've
leaned the weather, but didn't somebody used to end this
show with this rack them Oh that guy mine, that's good.
I'm in a show, all right, So the things that

(15:39):
I didn't it is kind of the dump because you
have a very important special interview coming up next which
I'm not I can't be on because I have to
get out of here. Guys on my kid's birthday plans.
So thank you for covering that. I appreciate it. Please
send my my warm wishes. It just my daughter comes
first to everything and the fact that we have resume.

(16:00):
We're gonna get that done. The CD LAMB stuff. I
know you've alluded to this a couple of times of
the show, The fact that there was a tweet out
there where Jerry Jones goes he's not in a hurry,
no urgency right now to hurry up and sign CD LAMB.
I won't and then CC retweets cd CD Lamb sorry,

(16:23):
retweets it with L O L. That's not good, right,
That's bad for who or for both? Yes, for everyone
who wants to see CD Lamb play football.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
I would say that Jerry Jones should not have said
that was ceedee Lamb trolling a little bit where he
went digging for the cut. Did he search his name
to find out what people were saying about him? Yeah,
that's a little odd, but nothing right now, He's kind
of got a lot of free times. So let's always

(16:56):
play this game. Imagine you're in this person spot. Imagine
you're trying to get a new contract with your boss,
and your boss goes out in public and says, hey,
whoever you are, is it a need to sign them?
Not really, not really a top concern. How ticked would
you be? How fired up?

Speaker 2 (17:15):
Would you want to quit?

Speaker 3 (17:16):
Would you want to leave? Would you never want to
work there again? Those all seem like very human, healthy feelings.
And now he's been doing more and more on social
media today. Right, he's just been playing game.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
Ceedee Lamb.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
Didn't I see a report that he's changing his profile
picture to him in Hollywood Brown. He might be to
the point where he's removing all cowboy stuff. He's just
putting up random numbers in letters. He's having a day like.
It's not Darius Prince.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
Yeah, him and Hollywood Brown.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
It's more Uh, Darius is more open. It's people like
me still couldn't figure out what he meant. Ceedee Lambs
is more cryptic, but we all know what he's probably
trying to get at. Yeah, it's that's on Jerry Jones.
To me that Jerry Jones doesn't need to say that.
But he's been doing that for what forty fifty years?

Speaker 2 (18:01):
Yeah, I don't know. Well he did, he's still doing
his youth camp. Well, he did his youth camp and
he didn't talk about anything. Then I ate Dash eight.
I don't know. I guess that's that was the date yesterday.
I don't know. I think I think yeah, I think
he's seede lambs in his feelings. He's bored. What do
they say, idle hands do the devil's work. I say,

(18:24):
twitter fingers do the devil's work. It's it's kind of like,
if you're a Giant fan, you gotta be loving this man.
Giants are looking great in the off season. The comedies
are looking great in the off season. The Eagles are
the quarterback and the head coach are fighting the Cowboys.
Jared Jones out here miking people angry. I mean, this

(18:44):
is this Washington and New York are just sitting there
like going listen. I don't like you at all, but
this is fun, right Like you're enjoying watching this too,
aren't you.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
I would be a little hesitant if I was a
Giant fan to start popping the bourbon and celebrating the.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Fun that is right there, that looks beautiful and nice
little and nice little start to the vacation. I would
be a little fish vacation. I'd be a.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
Little careful if I was a Giant fan to start
celebrating too much about the Cowboys, because there is a
little similarity here and maybe a little just being nice
on a Friday afternoon between the Mahors and Jerry Jones,
and there is no here.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
It is here, it is all right, Yeah, you gotta
have to work for this one. Here is the similarity.
They're old white people. That's the easy one, okay.

Speaker 3 (19:33):
But they've done things a certain way for so many
decades they don't want to change the way they do it.
The biggest criticism of the mayors is they are super loyal.
That's not a bad thing in life. If one of
the biggest critiques is that you're too loyal to somebody,
you probably want to work for them. However, it's not
that easy when you're in a competitive sport like football,
where you might be too loyal to somebody. I think
with Jerry Jones, is did this happen in nineteen ninety

(19:56):
four or guys just not. I know Emmon Smith is
a famous holdout, but this the social media Jared, do
you hear what he said about you?

Speaker 2 (20:03):
On Twitter? Twitter? Twitter? TikTok is she is she that dancer?

Speaker 3 (20:09):
That I had on the bus last night. Jerry, he
changed his profile picture on his X account.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
He got arrested, Like he doesn't know what about he
break up with you?

Speaker 3 (20:19):
He doesn't know. He can say he does, but he doesn't.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
Oh, he does not, He doesn't. He does.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
Does he understand why it's happening?

Speaker 4 (20:28):
No?

Speaker 2 (20:28):
But are other people able to explain to him what's happening? Yes?
I don't want to do it. Jerry jonesvian.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
You can do the impression like he's done this for
so long that he's like, this isn't how we do things.
You don't hold out, you don't go on social media.
I got Mike and Parsons, I got Dak Prescott, I
got Steven Ain't going wild about I got local sports
talk radio. I got national radio talking about my players
that are so good. I have to pay him more.
This isn't what happened in two thousand and four, not
to this degree. I know I'm always holding my press

(20:54):
conference and everything else. It looks a lot bigger. He
worked for a while a non traditional media company, a podcast.
What I don't think Jerry Jones wants to change the
way he does things. The hard, the hardest thing that
Jerry Jones had to do. And this is more so
like ten years ago, was give up some of the power.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Right well, hold on? Know so, so you said that
they were alike, the Barras and Jerry.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
They've done things a lot of the same ways for
a long time. They found success doing it that way,
and they see the formula for success is this. I
don't want to change it. I'll be very imagine to
do it.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
Imagine the scene from Hard Knocks offseason where Barrow walks
into Joe Shane's office and goes, I just don't know
if I'll be able to sleep if Saquon Barkley is
an Eagle with Jerry Jones. I'm gonna tell you what's
gonna happen right now, Shane. You ain't gonna let Saquon
lame because I ain't letting him sign him right now.

(21:49):
And I'm fire you like do what I want, Like
there's no way that goes that way. Like it's I mean,
if you want to say it's an old school okay, fine,
Maren lets his people lead.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
It's the Jerry Jones. It kind of happened in twenty twenty.
It actually sort of did Zeke Elliott might be the
lead running back for the Cowboys this year.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
Already paid Zeke. I'll do it twice.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
There's a clip of Zeke Elliott. I want to feel old?
He's doing He's doing the drill.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
There's twenty one today. How much older do you want?
Mean to feel?

Speaker 3 (22:21):
Zek Elliott's doing the drill? Or he runs through the
padded like you know the defenders are hitting them and
try to hold the ball or whatever, and at the
end of the drill he falls down, whether on purpose
or tired or just goofing around. The part that shouldn't
be funny for Cowboy fans is when he had to
get up and he looked like.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
A guy turtle. He wearing a turtle shirt.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
Turtle just grunting off a couch Like that's your running back.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
Huh.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
The guy who's grunting trying to lay off the ground
on a summer workout and when you're celebrating used.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
To be let me eat. I mean you know that happened?

Speaker 3 (22:54):
Told you we should have paid him?

Speaker 2 (22:55):
Who like?

Speaker 3 (22:57):
That's that happened for the Cowboys?

Speaker 2 (22:58):
And right attition too great?

Speaker 3 (23:02):
Will they pay CD lamb? I guess we missed the
point of this, I don't know if he actually will
he should get paid. I don't know financially what they're
gonna do to bend to make this sp because well, hold.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
On, let me ask you. Let me ask you this.
Would you would you take two first round picks for
Ceedee Lamb if you're the Cowboys? No, I would not.

Speaker 3 (23:21):
And the reason I'd say no to that deal is
because the Cowboys believe right now they can win the
Super Bowl. This roster right now, with Parsons, with Lamb,
with Prescott, with how good that defense was last season?
Green Bay destroyed them in the postseason.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
How much better than Brandon ayuk is see Lamb? How
much better is Brandon ayuk to City Lamb or or
vice versa. I don't think it's too I don't think
it's two first round picks better. I think Ceedee Lambs.
Oh No, that was that was allegedly what Pittsburgh was
gonna send over, was two first round picks for Brandon.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
No, No, don't do that.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
No, I would.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
I think that's too high a price for Brandon.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
Now to what about two ones to Mark Cooper for
Brandon ayuk Er bring back and Mark Cooper? No, here's
the problem.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
Why I keep saying no, Like do you say, gods,
that's a lopside of deal, you should take that. The
reason I'm saying no is, then this roster twenty twenty four,
right here, right now, the team they're gonna put out
on the field, they think they can win the Super Bowl.
Why compromise your super Bowl winning roster for twenty twenty
six when you've got the best roster you can half
right now? And I believe Jerry Jones probably has that

(24:28):
attitude that's probably see the lamb stopping.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
He also thinks they're gonna play. They're gonna play on
their contracts, and there's gonna be a point where the
Fins are gonna be too much and they're gonna show up.
But right now, it's not your quarterback's mad. Your best
pass rusher slash best defensive player is mad. You bet
your wide receiver is mad. What are you doing?

Speaker 3 (24:50):
They can blow Let's say the Cowboys go let's go
ten and seven. Okay, they go ten and seven, they
squeak into the postseason, they get blown out by Green
Bay again. Jerry's gonna blow the whole thing up. Dak's
gonna be gone, Parsons could get traded, Lamb could get traded.
So if he trades those guys, or those guys move,
or however this comes together, he might say I got

(25:10):
one more run left on this team. And then in
twenty twenty five, We're gonna bring in Shador Sanders, We're
gonna bring in Quinn Ewers, We're gonna bring somebody else in.
We'll get a young running back, wide receiver, will find
one in the draft, will have a ton of picks.
Everybody else in the East is building towards Washington's building
towards the Giants are trying to improve. Maybe we can
get in the postseason at like eight nine. Philly's gonna

(25:31):
be awesome. They got one more shot at it, they
got one more crack at it, and then they blow
the whole thing up if they're not good this season.
So that's why I'm staying go all in for one
more season, like Jerry.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Likes to go on. That's if you can get everybody
to show up and play.

Speaker 3 (25:44):
I would be shocked if Ceedee Lamb, Micah Parsons, and
Dak Prescott are all not Week one starters, or the
Dallas Cowboys have to have that part for the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
I'm just saying something like, see, Lamb looks easy in
his feelings, So until he gets paid, he's gonna be
in his feelings. And even once he gets paid, he
might still be in his feelings. So you gonna like
kind of keep an eye on that part of it.
It is the dump. Did you have anything for the dump?
Because I have more if you need it, I got
one quick one here.

Speaker 3 (26:16):
You're not gonna have an opportunity to respond to Team
USA versus France.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
This could be the biggest.

Speaker 3 (26:23):
Game in a long time for American sports fans and
everything else. I do want to go back to Serbia, though,
like that matchup with a team coming back and winning.
Have you heard the controversy involving my guy Carmelo Anthony?

Speaker 2 (26:34):
No, what was your boy do now?

Speaker 3 (26:36):
According to some reports, Carmelo was a big part of
what happened in the comeback.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
However, he want to view this.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
So you and I were in an interesting spot when
we were consuming that game yesterday. We're at Rivers Casino Resort,
so our feed to the game might have been different
than the feed you watch or listen to. In the
third quarter, the Serbia team kept doing the Mellow three
thing on the headband. Now they were going at Melo
and there's some trash talk back and forth. Now there
might also be some maybe I'm drawing too big a conclusion,

(27:05):
resentment of great all time nugget versus great all time
nugget Yo Kich versus Carmelo. But as Carmelo started to
bark and go at it a little bit, Carmelo's yelling
and screaming. Some these are the places that I live
on Reddit in social media. Believe Carmelo Anthony had just
as much to do with that comeback because he fired
up the team as much as Steve kurtd. That's a

(27:27):
real thing that happened yesterday. I didn't make that up.
That's not a goss story. That's a real story out there.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
I'm serious.

Speaker 3 (27:34):
That happened type of Carmelo Serbia. Give my man Mellow credit.
He led the country to the comeback yesterday.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
I will I will say it's it's it's one hundred
percent likely or possible that they responded to Carmelo on
the side.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
Yah yeah, now pour that drink before it did taste good.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
But I will also say that that'd be his first
assist probably ever. Know.

Speaker 3 (28:03):
I should have just should have let you go out early,
should have just left.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Sixtieth anniversary of pop tarts. They're celebrating the occasion with
the quote biggest toaster pastry ever, seventy three times the
size of a traditional pop tart. It's called a pop
tart party pastry. But it's exclusively limited quantity and you
can only get them in New York City, LA and Chicago.

Speaker 3 (28:26):
Two big things about pop tarts. One, did you have
a food that your mom or dad never let you
eat as a kid? Look at me, No one was
obviously different styles of meat for me. Others was a
combo of lunchibles and pop tarts. So that was the
food of Like, what do you mean, what is it?
I probably have eaten two styles of pop tarts my
entire life. So those chocolate pop tarts are, oh my gosh,

(28:47):
I got one. Every time you want to talk about
marketing working.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
In sixty bucks or a giant pop tart, every.

Speaker 3 (28:53):
Time someone brings up the word pop tart. Now to me,
I think of that scene at that Bowl game. Yeah,
I can't unsee it where people marketing.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
Is on points they're doing they're doing a good job
with the marketing, because again, giant pop tarts, living pop tarts,
pop tarts. Jesus, there's there's a lot going on with
the old pop tarts. Would you be able to eat
a pop tart that is seventy three times the size
of a traditional pop tart?

Speaker 3 (29:18):
I would get a two bites in and I'd be done.
My body couldn't handle it.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
No, come on, you can get Popstart. How about you?
Oh your Popstart. That's a big pop tart. Though, that's
probably like eating an entire like birthday cake by yourself.

Speaker 3 (29:32):
That's kind of sad, will you. I'm not saying, I
don't know what's what's sadder? Eating worth that pop tart
of the birthday cake alone? Gosh, I'm I say.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
It's really like I'm putting candles in it and crying
in the corner on the twenty sixth before birthday to
me by pop tart. Everybody knows something. Eat free wings
on my birthday? Come on, No, that's a dump.

Speaker 3 (30:02):
France versus Team USA coming up this weekend preseason football.

Speaker 2 (30:06):
I've got a lot on the way. Giant pop darts.
I'm pop Tarts. Happy birthday to my beautiful daughter, Bells.
I love you, Thank you for being amazing. She's gonna
be a top, top notch nurse in the not too
distant future. And I just listened. I got it. Get here.
I'm tired.

Speaker 3 (30:23):
Enjoy Disney, my friend, Enjoy the time. We will see
you again next week. We have a lot of people
filling in for you next week. A lot of people.
That means a very big compliment. Where Sean Martin, Ryan McCarthy,
Brian Mariano, Zach Harris, anybody good, somebody on Wednesdays filling

listening right now Wednesday?

Speaker 2 (30:39):
Allegedly Quinn Canter are still going to call me Thursday morning, Okay,
so we'll see if I wake up for that. And
then I've got to do some of my some work.
I have to work from there a little bit. So
if you need me, call me, but don't call me.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
Let's talk about Mohawkan before you go, because you love
our friends over Mohawkan.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
It is a Friday here on Fox Sports ninety five,
nine to nine eighty and we closed down week with
a special story a message a fantastic golf tournament coming
up later on in this month. Shaw Rabodi joining us
here now. You may have heard him on WG one.
If you haven't, a fantastic conversation you had with our
friend w g Y morning host Doug Gowny.

Speaker 3 (33:15):
Shaw joins us now.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
Shaw. For those who don't know, let's get right into it.
The phil with Love Foundation phil with Love dot org.
This might be the first time people here on the
Fox Sports radio side have heard about us. Let's learn
a little bit more about that foundation this afternoon.

Speaker 4 (33:31):
Thank you, nice to meet you, Nice to see be here.
Phil is my son, Philip, and Philip was a great
human being. I went to school in this area. We
lived in this area for over forty years. It's a
great community to be in. Philip was top of his

(33:57):
class in high school, college, medical school, and were his
work at Saint Peter's Hospital. So he went to Albany
Med He was a physician assistant and he was great
with his hands. He's the expert. He was the expert

(34:17):
in robotic surgery, the non invasive robotic surgery type stuff.
He loved to play music guitar, saying Great Carpenter thirty
five years old. He was taken away from us in
April of twenty twenty two. So that year we put
together a legacy fund throughout through Albany Medical College. We

(34:42):
raised over one hundred thousand dollars for scholarship for the
purpose of scholarship for Philip, for students that went to
follow the same footsteps as Philip, and we raised that
same year, we raised over eighty thousand dollars at Saint
Peter's as the first golf outing that we did back
in twenty twenty two, and that money actually is dedicated

(35:07):
for training physician assistants and physicians, if you will, on
the use of robotic surgery and latest technologies in the
operating room. This past year, twenty twenty three, we had
our second golf outing and from that we raised in
excess of eighty thousand dollars and we donated that to

(35:32):
a whole bunch of different causes in the area. So
that year we basically decided to invoke on and put
together a new foundation, our own family foundation, Filled with
Love dot org, and through that we wanted to reach

(35:53):
a wide ranging of different causes that we cared about
that basically, in a sence, they are reflect what Philip's
generosity was, what Philip's humanity was, what he loved to
do in his community, and to offer assistance in any way,
shape or form. So everything that we've done so far

(36:16):
is really aligned with what Philip wanted to do in
his life, whether it's education, research, whether it's helping animals,
whether it's caring about women's issues, whether it's dealing with
some and supporting the food Bank for food insecurities. So
we did all of this back in twenty twenty three.

Speaker 2 (36:39):
This year, our goal.

Speaker 4 (36:41):
Our mission is to raise in excess of one hundred
thousand dollars to continue on the same path, and that
same path is to continue to support those causes that
align with philip life, what he loved to do as
a thirty five year old old, beautiful human being.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
Fill with Love dot org you can support this event.
There's so much information online and I know this topic
is sensitive, I know it can be emotional, but I
have to do this as my job because there are
people who are listening on the iHeart app who are
not from the capital or region. There are some people
maybe in the capital region who aren't familiar with this,
and they're wondering the story of Philip and what happened.

(37:23):
So as much or as little as you want to
share about that, I know that's a difficult topic to discuss,
but I know there are some listeners who are just
don't know the story. Yep.

Speaker 3 (37:32):
So I'm just gonna let you go from there and
take it from where you would go.

Speaker 4 (37:35):
Well, the website, our foundation's website, philolove dot org explains
a lot of the things that we are talking about.
You know, what legacy funds we have, what foundation money
we raised, and where did it go, and who are
the supporters who are the donors in our community for
this cause. But about Philip again, as I mentioned, he

(37:59):
was of his class, did great work in anything that
he did. If he would walk into this room right now,
you know he would light up the room with a
dad joke or probably just to make you make you
feel at ease. Philip finished college twenty fifteen and about

(38:21):
a few years later met this beautiful woman. They got
married in twenty twenty one September twenty twenty one. That
earlier that year, in the beginning of twenty twenty one,
they built a beautiful home and they moved into it
in August of twenty twenty one, got married. In September,
we had another destination wedding for my other son, my

(38:44):
oldest son. It was a beautiful event, and as you
could imagine from the time that we spend time with
Philip from his wedding all the way through December for
the second wedding, the holidays and all that kind of stuff.
It was just a an enormous, beautiful time to spend
with your family and get to know them, you know,

(39:05):
at a whole different level, if you will. In April
twenty twenty two, he was killed in his brand new
house that he just lived in for about six or
seven months. In the nutshell. This ex boyfriend of his
wife was really deranged, stalked the folks in the area,

(39:33):
got to know some of the people, got to know
where Philip lives, got to know where they work, and
he stalked them, spent about four days in the four
days in the area, and then he came in one
morning and he committed a crime, walked in his house
and killed him. You know, there's been written, a tremendous

(39:57):
amount of stuff been written about the case. There's no
really a good way to describe what this thing was
all about. Two years almost of trial and tribulations and
all the stuff that went on with jury selections and
decision makings and all that.

Speaker 2 (40:19):
That.

Speaker 4 (40:21):
The important thing to remember here is it's a great
loss for me and for my family and for my
other son, for my other daughter. So what do you do?
What do you do if the listeners are interested, you know,
we want to talk about golf more than anything else.

(40:42):
I'm not a great golfer. My handicap is golf, by
the way, And so they can find the information online.
I know WNYT Channel thirteen did a YouTube channel segment
approximately half an hour or so, so they can actually

(41:03):
get to know the story a little bit more. Our focus,
our mission is dedicated to raise funds through events like
the Golf Outing and the golf outing that we are
having this year. On August twenty fourth is the third
Golf Outing, and from that the money that we raise
are basically dedicated to help support all these other foundations,

(41:28):
all these other causes in our region, in our community.
Those are the people that actually supported our family throughout
the years, and we will go back and support them
as well. You know, we've had like six dogs, for example,
that we rescued. We love dogs, our family does. I
work with people with the Food Bank, I've worked with

(41:50):
people in the American Heart Association. I worked with people
in the medical field in the past. My son did
as well. As a family. Our roots are here in
the Capital region. We went to school here, we got
married here, we lived here, we lived and built our
careers in the area. So it's natural for us to

(42:14):
just put something out there that says, you know, we
have this huge, devastating situation that developed, that that took place.
It's a messy, screwed up situation that suddenly is in
our laps, So what do you do with that? And

(42:36):
for me and for my family was just to really
sit back and say, how do we give back? And
through the foundation, the fill with Love dot org or
fillip filled with Love down you know, foundation is just
really a way to reach our community in such a
way that says we care about our community or unity

(43:01):
provided us with their shoulders. They helped us through the
most difficult time. And how do you acknowledge what happened
and how do you turn around and do something about
it to make such an impactful thing with our community.
And that's with the purpose in the mission of this foundation.

Speaker 2 (43:22):
His name is Sean Rabondie. He joins us here to
close out this week sharing that emotional story. We appreciate
your candidness in that conversation with a difficult topic. You've
mentioned the coverage that NYT has provided. We've mentioned the
coverage that our sister station has provided. I could keep
you here for three hours, four hours.

Speaker 3 (43:40):
I just asked of.

Speaker 2 (43:41):
This as we get closer to the event, Let's not
make this the last time we talked to each other.

Speaker 3 (43:46):
Please don't be a stranger. I don't want to keep
you any longer than you need to be kept today.
Your story is incredible. Please for more information check out
fill with Love dot over shaw. I appreciate your time, Yes,
and one more time will plug our sister station WG
wide Doug Gaddie. The conversation to head with him powerful
and impactful. If you missed any of that, go watch
that on our iHeartMedia side listen to it on our

(44:07):
media side. So thank you for doing this and best
of luck for the event coming up later this month and.

Speaker 4 (44:12):
In the thank future. I appreciate that, you know, just
for the listeners as well, you need to know that
we're closing our registration for the golf outing this coming
Friday or Saturday, because we have twenty seven holes that
were approximately going to be filled up. So you can come,
you can play, you can donate, you can enjoy the scenery,

(44:35):
you can enjoy the contests. There's a whole bunch of
stuff that I think Doug and I spoke about in
case your listeners want to check that out. But yeah,
come on out and have some fun and donate before
we go.

Speaker 2 (44:49):
I just want you to just look around a little
bit real quick. I want to look at our guys,
Zach and Jim and Dave and Doug and Alan. I
don't think I've ever seen this happen where I've interviewed
and had a conversation with somebody and somebody's story brought
people into a room to hear what was going on.
So I don't know if I could offer a bigger
compliment that this entire building has now walked into different

(45:10):
rooms to hear what you're saying. So thank you for
sharing the story.

Speaker 3 (45:14):
You're seeing the impact around you of people wanting to
hear your story, and I hope people across the camp
but region continue to support you.

Speaker 2 (45:20):
Thank you so much for your time.

Speaker 4 (45:21):
Thank you very much. Guys appreciate it. Great job by
the way,
