Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's Lovak and Guz on the voice of the Capitol
Regions Sports fan Fox Sports ninety five to nine and
nine eighty. Remembervac and Levac is here the birthday boy
and joining a nice beverage there. Uh, maybe we can't
do this anymore because remember the top forard. For like
an hour ago, I was struggling like, oh man, what
should be that fourth story? Hey, what should be that

(00:21):
fourth story? And then I just didn't do it. I'm like,
you know, I think I feel good about the transfer portal,
even though I thought it was better at this even
though we're going to dive deeper into a story later
in the show. And this is what I'm when I
looked the show run and see news breaking before the
show goes on the air. Even though I knew we
were going to talk about this segment about Ceedee Lamb's contract,

(00:42):
I did forget to put it in the top forward four.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
There's definitely I was gonna actually pull you aside later
and be like, hey, look, big stories get repeated.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
I had a feeling that's why, because I can't you
can't waving me off on this one.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Like trying to space it out, like, hey, We're not
gonna give it four minutes. Usually I'm gonna say, hey,
coming up in the third hour, we got this coming.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Well, it's got ramification, it's got repercussions, it's got some
questionable math. It's a lot going on here. Dallas Cowboys
and Ceedee Lamb have agreed to what will make Ceedee
Lamb the highest paid non quarterback in the history of
the National Football League.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Who it is a.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Four year, one hundred and thirty six million dollar deal.
Now this says the second highest paid non quarterback. I'm sorry,
second highest paid. I was I'm sorry I was wrong.
But it also what confused me is so it's one
hundred and thirty six million. He's got a thirty eight
million dollars signing bonus and one hundred million guaranteed.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
I thought that was one hundred and thirty eight million.
I'm confused. The numbers are not right. Whatever.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
This is the reason I waited an hour and a
half and two hours to do it, because these reports
are stupid and silly. I'm right, people love that transfer
portal talk.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
So see Lamb now the highest paid Dallas Cowboy wide receiver.
The Amari Cooper twenty twenty deal, five year, one hundred millions,
it'd gone. Now it's four year, one thirty six, so
the holdout is over. Ceedee Lamb is coming to play
for the Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
You look like you have a question.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Yeah, no, or you have to fart this discussion. This
discussion can change every August. Christian McCaffrey's almost always been
the answer of this, like who's the best skill taking
quarterback out of it skill guy in the NFL? So
I'm talking running back, wide receiver at some positions called
semi the tight end. I would say the discussions christ

(02:38):
McCaffrey's won. Tyreek Kell had an incredible season last year,
so some would say two. But if someone said, I
think Ceedee Lamb is better than Tyreek Hill because Tyreek
Kill had injuries last season. Ceedean Lamb is pacing the
season because of how bad the backfield is in Dallas.
And I know it's Zeke Elliot put a much older
Zeke that Ceedee Lamb could potentially set a new record
for most receptions in a season. Tyreek I almost did

(03:00):
it last year. Could Ceedee Lamb set a record this
season for most receiving yards in a season. He definitely
could now again, a lot of these wide receivers are
gonna have the benefit of playing one extra regular season game,
which is massive and helps with those possibilities of records
being broken. But when we talk about the best in
the NFL, some have talked about Justin Jefferson. There was
a time where it was Cooper Cup who basically was
going I believe he did win the triple Crown of receiving.

(03:23):
We've gone through the rotation of who can be the best.
Derek Henry is still in the league, Saquan still in
the league. Ceed Lamb is in that discussion, and I
know it's the Dallas Cowboys, and I brought up Zeke
where people criticize the ex contract and there's a lot
of Cowboy fans that still criticize the dat contract because
of when it happened post injury. He's about as good
as he's been for anybody for the Cowboys, as Ceedee Lamb,

(03:44):
from the hype around Oklahoma to the pick to Rock
in eighty eight and the pressure that comes with that.
This is one of the best players in football. And
there's an argument to me made in twenty twenty four
that he's the best skilled guy in the entire NFL,
and the Dallas Cowboys just signed him, and you might
have little Tea's right there. I think Ceedee Lamb. If
I had the number two pick in fantasy, I take

(04:04):
Ceedee Lamb.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
So McCaffrey wants Ceedee Lamb too.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Unless you're in a bonus league and get like numbers
for like one hundred and fifty, they're like you and
I played in the league before. If you get a
fifty yard catch, like unless you're in a wild bonus
league like that, the tyree kill will benefit. It's almost
eighty percent of the time. I'm taking Ceedee Lamb number two.
And McCaffrey's been hurt, you know, like Ceede Lamb could
be won this season. I would if someone told me
he's gonna be the best player offensive player in the
NFL this season, I'm not gonna argue with you. That's

(04:29):
how good he is. And he deserves the deal today.
That's tough.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
That's that's tough for me, just because who else they
have like they're there, he is. You can key on,
you can key one. See Lamb now, you can key on.
And I do believe in him, and it makes me
furious because do you remember what he wore like the
entire time league off the draft, no throwback Raiders jerseys.

(04:57):
He like was begging the Raiders to draft him, but instead,
at twelve, the Raiders went with Henry Ruggs the third,
and Ceedee Lamb went seventeenth to the Cowboys. I'm just
saying that. I'm just putting that there. She's gonna put
that right there for you. You took a wide receiver
and you want we went for the burner. It's very Raiders,
I get it. Unfortunately, ce Lamb has made way better

(05:19):
decisions in his life than Henry Ruggs has, Unfortunately for
Cee lam which I'd say, you know what this means though, hmmm,
Michael Parsons, Dak Prescott, where's mine?

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Where's my money?

Speaker 1 (05:35):
You don't think they did that wrong though, right the
order like it should have been, Ceedee Lamb gets paid
first and then they figure out Michael Parsons and Dak next,
right like that in that order?

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Probably probably, But I think I think Dak is like
an underrated quarterback. I really do like he's it's because
he was a fourth rounder, because he was this, because
he was that, because he's been hurt, like he does
not get the respect he deserves.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
He is under contract, he's still making a ton of money. Whatever.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Okay, so this is a chefter. Seed Lamb now the
eleventh receiver to sign a lucrative contract this offseason.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
I mean, it's it's.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Insane the money and you still we're still waiting on
Jamar Chase and Brandon Ayuk.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Jamar Chase is really good, Jamar Chase, no criticism. There's
a chance the podcast audience might be listening to this
and Chase signs not too far after Seed Lamb. That's
usually what happens, right, he could signed by Monday night.
He could sign by Tuesday. Here's the thing. Usually when
there's huge contracts, like the quarterback position went through this,
people would push back and say quarterbacks don't deserve that

(06:37):
much money. And then we saw Mahomes and Allen and
all these go, Okay, maybe they do deserve that much money.
Have I really love I never heard a lot of
people talk about a wide receiver not deserving the money,
not at all. If that's skin Fantasy Football's on my mind.
Stats are on the mind. The new rules of the
NFL and the position of the quarterback getting help. I

(06:58):
don't have any issues any of these. If you want
to argue to do a few of them, I would
say the third now most important position in the NFL quarterback,
offensive tackle, and then wide receiver. Cornerback used to be
in that mix, but it's hard man to find a
really good shutdown corner because of the rules. I would sayither,
why do you have issues with them?

Speaker 2 (07:17):
Jalen Waddle three years eighty four point seven five million,
Jerry Judy three years fifty two point five million, Calvin
Ridley four year ninety two million. Some of these are
a little, a little big. Those three aren't great. Yeah,
some of these not okay? You know and and listen.
I think you'll look back at Nico Collins three years

(07:38):
seventy two point seventy five million ago. That was a steal.
I think Nico Collins is going to break out this year.
A mount Ross saying Brown four years, one hundred and
twenty million dollars, I'm with it. I'm with I love
a mont Rossaint Brown, I absolutely do. DJ Moore four year,
one hundred and ten million dollars, love it. Gotta have that,
gotta have that stud receiver you traded for him. You

(07:59):
got them pay him.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
Some of these guys that are a little overpaid somewhere.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Percy Harvin's like, wait, hang on, hang on, I don't
want to be a running back. I know it was
a wide receiver. Travis Aten's like, can someone call Urban Meyer.
I was cool being a wide receiver. All the poor
running backs who could have been wide receivers, They're like,
what about us, We could have taken some of this.
Can't you give us a little bit? I think it's
a big deal for Dallas. I'd be thrilled the files

(08:26):
of Cowboy fans today. It's a big deal getting him back.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
No, and I think he needed to. Yeah, And look
to your point, I think he is. I think he's special.
I think he's the guy you double cover him, he'll
still get the ball. Stuff like that. But again, I
would like I would have liked to have seen more
around him than what I've seen. I guess, and that
that could be nitpicking at this point. We'll see how

(08:50):
it goes. It's it's the biggest deal for Dallas right now.
Is one of the main reasons I wasn't sure if
I wanted to put Dallas as the winner of the
NFC East was all this, Well, a third of the
turmoil is gone. So now it's just a question of
will Dak Prescott Michael Parson's playing no problem on their
contracts or will you get them done? Like what's the

(09:10):
what's the deal going to be? But also can Rico
Dowdell and Royce Freeman run the ball a lot? Because
right now they're under Zeke Elliott as you're starting running backs.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Yeah, I'm kind of joking it a little serious. Do
you think they call Adrian Peterson at some point?

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
We'll see how bad it can.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
I'll see how I don't think how about Brandon cook
still around?

Speaker 1 (09:38):
Gams love Brandon them.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
You're starting wide receiver, clam Brandon Cooks, Jalen Tolbert, Like
that's Brandon Cooks, just pop it up everywhere, that's what
he does.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
I'm more convinced now with you run through that depth charts.
D and Lamb's gonna have a monster year, you know,
like a historically good year.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
Couldn't you make the argument that you Ferguson tight, it'll
probably the second leading reivers.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
He's good, but like.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Actually maybe Ferguson and Cede Lamb stack him if you can,
because they're gonna get the majority of the targets, right.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Yeah, for sure, then cooks deep. Remember it wasn't too
long ago when Dak had that one season. I believe
it was the season he got hurt, where that first
four to five weeks the numbers were hilarious, like that
first September with Dak Prescott. He was gonna average to
throw for seven thousand yards in like eighty touchdowns and
they got hurt. So Mike McCarthy loves throwing the football.

(10:36):
People are not Mike McCarthy fans, But if you love offense,
like remember this Cowboy defense. It feels like a ten
years ago. That Cowboy defense is the best defense in
the NFL until Green Bay ate him up. Like Dallas
for a lot of weeks last year looked like the
team to beat. People looked at that defense and said,
this team can win a super Bowl. And then I
got blown up in the playoffs and we all forgot

(10:57):
about is what.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
If you done?

Speaker 1 (10:58):
Dan Quinn left, he's gone from Washington. People wanted to
fire me even though I had a great defense. So
Dallas is a super Bowl contender. Whether you love the
Cowboys or hate him. There's no doubt they are a
Super Bowl contender. You would take Sea Lamb over Tyreek
Hill in non bonus leaguause I would because of all
so like Jalen Waddles an option out there, I trust
Dak more than two.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
I would take Ceedee Lamb over Tyreek.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Hmm.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
You're Scott my fantasy football draft, you and I on Thursday.
You're hoping for the three pick. I see now?

Speaker 3 (11:30):
Is either way me? I don't know.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Actually, I like I like being close to the wrap round.
I just if I can get if I can, I
don't want the number one pick.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
Oh, you like later in the first round?

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Yeah, I think this year, I feel I feel pretty
good about it, especially like we just talked about the
running backs the other day, and it's one of those
situations where you look up and down the rosters and
you go.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
Huh, that's the starter. Huh, that's the handcuff. Huh huh.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
I feel like, you know, I feel like you could
put a good tea together in your mid rounds. Your
first round is not as loaded as it should be.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
We have the birthday game coming up on our sister station.
Are we doing that next week? Next week and we're
on the same team. Ninety nine to five, the river
tune into that.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
You know me, I like to carry you through that.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
I like to control my own destiny. I would like
a top two pick, so nobody else gets to decide
who I get to pick. If I'm gonna go down,
I'm going down because of myself.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
If you are a forty nine ers or a Cowboys fan,
pray to everything you believe in that Goz is not
getting a top two pick because if he takes Christian McCaffrey,
season's over. If he takes Ceedee Lamb, it's be the
worst year of his career. Guz is we we looked
at like the number one overall picks were we were
like the biggest flops.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Gos had most of them.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
David Johnson has not recovered to this day.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
Still he's in witness protection at this point. It's sad.
It's actually kind of sad at this point.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
All right, So congrats to us, he Lamb, Congrats to
Cowboys fans. You got your number one receiver back where
he belongs. And uh, maybe maybe a little Sea four
energy drink will take care of that.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
I had some Sea four. There's some c four in
the fridge by the way, I left there for our coworkers. Yeah,
there's a couple in there.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
The final week, Levak, I want to take it that
over the beer of the Sea four Bank or Old Challenge.
You are in the lead and you could finish this
thing off on Thursday. Acknowledge me by thirty by and
then we'll have it all figured out. Who's gonna win it.
But if you need that extra boost, don't forget school
starting for a lot of you parents out there. If
you want to get that extra sleep, that extra energy
you might need, gearing up here for September, Sea four

(13:29):
can give you that extra boosts. It doesn't taste like
other energy drinks or coffee. It tastes great tastes like
what it says it is. Yes, the popsicle flavors, especially
at Stewart's and Speedway, get them in your assistant today, Levac.
And I love my head one this morning.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
As did I. I had. I had a popsicle. Grape.
Grape and Cherry's my two favorites. Now that's where that's
where I live.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
I had the creamsicle.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
Oh those are good.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
Just putting it out there, all right, Ce four Grab
yourself one today popsicle or Ultimate Energy Speedway or Stewart's
the best place to grab those?

Speaker 1 (13:57):
You tea something earlier in the show, Lovak about a
story about you a media member. I gotta find out
if it's a local person or not.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
All right, well, let's talk about that next right here
on Fox Sports Radio ninety five nine, nine eighty.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
It's Lavac and Guys on ninety five nine Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
We we're kind of doing the jump right now because
our good friend Jordan Moriano is coming in. I just
my voices did something weird. We're gonna talk about the
race for us as.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
One see these microphones. Man, I'm telling you someone was
touching something.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
The struggle bus is very prevalent today and it's not
because of beer. I swear.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
It's my birthday, all right, So everything we did is great.
You go, you go and you write that we did
great today. So what I want for my birthday I
want everybody to say, levag and Gods were great today.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
Done. What did you want?

Speaker 1 (14:39):
You had a story you teased and the Kickstarter, Apple Spotify,
the iHeart up that you banned somebody from the fire Birds.
There alway Empire.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Media that that was the Empire's right. So like, I've
never done the local guy. I've threatened a couple of locals,
like jokingly for the most part.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
But there's a.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Guy and he's actually had a Florida and he built
his own little media outlet which was kind of which
which at some point became focused on that league, the
n AL. And he was such an insane people would
warn me about him before I even started running the team.
They're like, watch out for this guy. He's insane, he's unstable.

(15:19):
We just we we were nice to him just to
keep him calm. And because of the coverage we won,
the good coverage. I'm like, okay, cool, whatever, you know.
So he comes for me for like no reason, going nuts,
saying like Outland is terrible things, threatening to fight me.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
What Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
It was insane over now, I don't remember when it started.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
It you know me, man, Like, if you're gonna threaten
to fight me, a well, let's just get it out
of the way.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
Let's just get it over with.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
I'd rather not do it, but I'd rather also not
have you, like, you know, find me when I'm not ready.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
So I was.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
I told the guy was like, here's how it's gonna work.
You are never allowed in any of these buildings again.
And I actually ran three buildings at that point. You're
not allowed any of these buildings. You're not allowed to whatever.
Your people aren't allowed in Albany. I'm going to petition
the league to ban you and everything you do. Well,
then it like it turned out the people who were
taking pictures and stuff for him up here hated him

(16:15):
and the only reason they were dealing with him is
it was what was getting them into our games. So
I sat down with all of them and I gave
them media financials around him, and I blocked him. And
then the league finally blocked him when he turned on
one of the one of the higher up owners, rop Storm,
who then then all of a sudden he was a
bad guy.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
And I think the problem with remembering this story in
the banning deon Sanders, Dana White and Area Home. Oh yeah,
I think all three of them are different.

Speaker 3 (16:42):
Like the was violatile and was was a liar?

Speaker 1 (16:45):
All right there it is. I don't think the guy
was telling the truth. Like Ariel Hajuana got banned by
the UFC, Dana White because they didn't like that he
was reporting stuff without their permission. That's pretty lame. According
to Ariel Holwani's side of the story, which I think
he probably was right on that. On the Dion side,
I didn't like what you said, so on need to
talk to you very child is very immature. You do
actually have to, but some ways are right. You don't

(17:05):
have to talk to him. This was I'm going to
make stuff up to get clicks and try to get
a social media following of the AF or.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
The n AL is awful all but he's awful.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
Sorry, photo shopping stuff to draw attention. He wasn't He
wanted that like you actually wanted to get banned.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
Joh.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
How it ended, No, I was in Florida. He got
quiet because I was in Florida for a while, I
wasn't far from him. And also a bunch of people
that he had wrong in the past sent me his
police reports. Ooh, so I sent them to him and
I said, I'm an adult, I'm not going to put
these out there. Just know that I could if I
wanted to, and unlike you, these are truth. And then

(17:45):
he stopped talking to me. So I think he still
pops off about me. Once in a great while. But
it's you know, I don't see it. I'm not going
to be looking for it.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
You don't, you don't.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
Not everybody wants to be your friend in this world.
I have one more thing for the dump. Yes, would
you watch your favorite TV show if the star will
a part of it? I guess office fans can answer
this better than most people.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
Yeah, I think I would.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
Would you watch ted Lasso without Jason Sadakis?

Speaker 1 (18:08):
I don't want anything to do with season four ted Lasso?
Nothing what I liked said last I think season one
in season two is in the discussion as one of
the top ten, maybe even top five.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
And two got a little weird. I thought season three
got back on course.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
H I'd say season two is better than season three,
but I would say the discussion of that is in
the top ten television show seasons of all time. I
have nothing with season four. I don't want to lose
in season three. I thought season three ended the show.
I'm good, so I'm good.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
Rumor is or reports are that they have greenlit a
season four that Rebecca Roy, Kent, and Higgins are all
already signed because they're part of a different different actors guild,
but Sadaikias might be the executive so Ted Lasso might
be the executive producer of the show, but he may
not be back for it.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
You don't want to see how the team does with
Roy Kent.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
No, I'm good. I think that was a perfect setting off.
They'd always said they only had a three season arc.
I like how it ended.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
I'm good.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
They must have thrown so much money at him, got
so much money.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
He's here, he's there, He's every bleeping where Roy Roy.
I'll definitely check it out, but I hope today this
comes back. If they do it, that show is such
a feel good moment for me, like every week. Season
two got dark, like the darkness of what was going
on in life was there. Season three got back to
like finding something happy every day, and I liked it

(19:31):
because it actually made me happy.

Speaker 3 (19:33):
God Forbid, I'd be happy, guys. God Forbids. Two was
so good.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
They must have thrown again a ton of money at him.
I don't know if I'll give it a shot. Maybe
I do know this, Levak. We have some two gas
