Speaker 1 (00:02):
One and a half.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
It's Lovak and Guzz on ninety five nine Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
This first fine blows out the show strong.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Here we are.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
We are joined by Jordan and Rachel, Jordan Modiano and
the Racers for Autism website is where I've already made
my donation.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Guys, have you made Georgia or.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
It's the website's loading a little slow here, but I
will get it in. I will get it in.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Weit was not loaded and slow.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Have you ever seen somebody with longer arms? They can't
reach the bottom of their pockets.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
I'm gonna get it. They can't get to the mailbox either,
next in the mail.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
All right, So listen, since the last time we spoke,
and of course the big Races is coming up. It's
eleven days. Is that what it is? Because they after
the start of the season for for football.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
I didn't know we were coming here to do math.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Well, all right, So so now a week from this Friday,
the Big Race it is going to uh it over.
So it's ten thousand dollars to the winner.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Ten thousand dollars to the winners, courtesy Upstate Chevy Dealers.
It's the autism acceptance trace absolutely ten grand to the winner.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Let's go, and that's but more like more like what
almost thirty in prizes? Right over thirty over thirty five? Guys,
you're ready to drive? You already get the CRV rowling.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
I'm no, I'm not ready to drive. But I'm hearing
some rumors, Jordan, I heard some rumors, and if you
want a drum roll, I can give it to you,
although the act doesn't like my drum roll. We had
some breaking news, some big information that broke moments before
we started turning on on the MIC's.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Here, Yeah, what do you got for us? So commonly,
the way we do these races, and the way we
start the drivers is everybody qualifies and then we take
the top twelve drivers and we have them drew off
a position. So even though you qualify twelve, you might
be starting on the pole position, you might be starting

(01:55):
six or fifth. It becomes a luck of the draw
off of the top twelve. We're going to do it
slightly different because this is a charity race. So before
we pick the top twelve, we're going to give the
fans the option to bid on a driver, and fans
can put their money where their mouths are. And if
they want X y Z driver of the top twelve
to start up front, they just bid in the highest

(02:16):
bidder there's been on the right money towards the Autism Foundation.
That driver starting up front.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
What a cool idea, What an awesome idea.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
I like that a lot and uh.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
I checked with a bunch of different drivers, check with
the track promoter. Every want to make sure everybody felt like,
you know, we weren't going to play favoritism in any way,
shape or form, and everybody was all about this is
great for the charity. And so now we're going to
tell all of our drivers you know, hey, if you
think you're going to be in the top twelve, you
better bring as many people as you can to sit

(02:47):
in those stands and have them bid for you to
start on.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
The pole position. That's insane. I love that because it
adds the challenge, It adds the hey do you do
you want the polls? You want to be? You want
to be, you know, top three in the race to
get to get started here, you go get your people
out there, use your social media, use your I don't know,
maybe call your friends on our radio show.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
The track absolutely you know, and then we're going to
have a second part to it. So we already have
more drivers who are signed up, then they're going to
make the show. So if our two provisionals and we
have two provisional drivers, the driver who won last year,
Chad Jazzo and the driver who won on our I

(03:26):
can't ever say that our first event, thank you, Richie Crane.
You know, if they both qualify, we're not going to
use those two provisionals. So for all the drivers who
didn't make the race, we're going to give them an
opportunity to buy in. So the one who wants to
pay the most money right there, check right there that

(03:47):
day to the charity not for profit, they get that
final starting spot.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
So so you get a chance at the ten grand,
well part of the thirty, but you get a chance
at the ten and it's a tax right off.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Absolutely wait, and it's for a good cause.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Yes, And whoever thought of this, Jordan, If it's you,
I give you credit. If it's somebody on your team,
because you com bind two really great things here, compassionate
people who care. You know three things, compassion, caring and competition.
Because la Back and I talked to coaches and athletes
all the time. But what I'm learning talking more and
more with you and learning more and more about these
great causes and these great drivers racers may be the

(04:26):
most competitive people I've found out about. Like I think
about this, I think so like we don't talk to
as many Jeffs, but Jordan, I think you see it
all the time, Like you want to talk about true competition.
Now you're hanging out there, says let's how good you
guys are. We know you can move fast, but let's
see what it's all about right now.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
And you know you're one hundred percent right. The drivers
ar true competitors, but they're also some of the best
people you'll ever meet. And as I talk to these
guys and every single one of them like absolutely, this
is for charity, involves the fans, it's fantastic. And no,
this wasn't my idea. I'd love to tell you it was.
There was another race yesterday and one of the guys
in the race ends up calling me and I look

(05:03):
at the phone and I said, in my life, oh,
something must be wrong. Before I know what, I'm gonna
have to go to his shop, get parts, go to
the track. He lands the phone. It's like, I got
a great idea. My guy just called me and told
me he just saw this, And you know, stuff trickles down.
You know, I'll take the great ideas all day long.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
How How good are the racers in this race? The drivers?

Speaker 1 (05:26):
We got some of the best racers in the country,
I think. I mean, so when you think about racing
on dirt, it's a slick surface. Our cars are heavy,
our tires are kind of thin and hard, so it's
hard to control. Stuff happened. Sometimes some of the drivers
get a little too aggressive and they push too hard,
and Rex happened. And you know what happened last night.

(05:46):
I wasn't there, but a friend of mine barrowrolled, and
you know, he's got some work to do to get
his car back together for next Friday night.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
He not worried about how he his health wise. He's fine,
he's fine, fine.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
I walked him this morning. I'm like, you, hey, I'm
a little bumped and bruised. I'm like, all right, get
to work, you know. But so but it happens. But
it takes a lot to drive these cars and and
get get the cars to do what you want them
to do. You know the movie Days are Thunder. Tom
Cruise said, I'm trying to control something that's out of control.
That's exactly what we're trying to do.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
And he's smiling what he says, that's fun.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
It's absolutely fun. And Rachel smiling too.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Yeah. So all right, so Rachel's here with us as well,
and the race is coming up. It's a week from Friday.
Go to racersfo autism dot com. That's where it's a
big gods, it's a big red button that says donate
that got you?

Speaker 1 (06:42):
All right, Yeah, that's fire the racers number four autism
dot com. We tried to make it really simple. You
didn't even have to spell the word for.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
How No, So does my donation go towards putting you
on the pole?

Speaker 1 (06:54):
No? Well, no, no, no, no, you'd have to be
there that night. I'd have to qualify the top twelve
and that's more money. You know, you need as much
as possible. All right, Nope, doesn't go towards that. Anything
that anybody does on the website is really just going
towards the charities and to help us help them.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
So for for me to help you get the poll, you.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
Got to be there that night, I gotta qualify in
the top twelve. And you got to say I got
five grand for Jordan to be on the pole.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
I got. I'm a little less than that, but I.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Got a lesson.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
I mean, I'm not you know, listen to radio. It's
not it's not the same.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
But I know you know people, I do know people.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
I do. Yeah, one of them in the other room
that takes it right now, thinking about let's make it
seventy five. I like it. I like it, Jordan.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
For those who don't know, this might be the first
time they're finding out about it, where they're listening on
the digital side, whether they're listening on the radio side.
I know you're going to join our pound Dug down
Ey tomorrow and w G why in the morning. But
for those who don't know, we've had the opportunity over
the last year plus to learn about it. Why is
this race so important for you and people across the
Campital region?

Speaker 1 (07:55):
All right, good, I'm glad we have some time so
I can talk about this. Yeah. So I brought Rachel
with me today. Rachel's my daughter. She's my hero, my superstar,
and she has autism and the stuff that she can
do blows my mind. So there's a lot of times
where what could be challenging for her she has to
do it and push through it, and I see it

(08:17):
over and over and over again. She did it this weekend,
multiple times, and knowing that, I decided years ago to
build my car and make it the Autism awareness car.
So what happened is people started coming up to me
over time saying, that's awesome that you're doing this. I've
got a child with autism, or I have a niece

(08:37):
or a grandchild, and we don't know where to get help.
We don't know what to do, and it's hard. I
know it's hard. I'm lucky. I've got a wife who's
a school psychologist with a PhD. She knows far more
about this than I ever will, and she does a
lot for Rachel and to help her. So I said,
you know, we've got to do something, and we decided
to do Autism Awareness race and we did the one

(09:00):
two years ago and it was a big success. And
then last year Upstate Chevy Dealers came to us and said,
we want to be part of this. This is a
really important cause. One in thirty six children are diagnosed
with autism everybody in one of our dealers is impacted.
Everybody you know, we have clients that are impacted. We
want to be part of this. So Upstate Chevy Dealers

(09:22):
came and said, you know what, let's up the ante.
And if we up the ante, we can get more
media exposure, we can do more good. And that's what
we did. So we up it last year. We made
it ten thousand to win and when it was all
said and done, I realized, like this almost killed me.
There's a lot of work, you know, to run a
full time business and do this. They came back and
they said, we want to do it again, and you know,

(09:44):
let's do it a little bigger this year. And with
that we were able to build a website and we
were able to do some other stuff. And it's really
all about raising those funds for the Autism Society of
the Greater Hudson Region and bring on the spectrum. There
are two local organizations that are not for profit and

(10:05):
they do wonders for the.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
Autism community right here in our own backyard.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
They were in our own backyard. I love it. Jordy.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
You mentioned last time you're in with us that I
got a text hearing me and Levac are all on
a mass text and says, see what you guys started.
It's not just our friends here at iHeartMedia right here
Fox Sports ninety five, nine to nine eighty w g
WID tomorrow. I see you got a little bit of
love our friends over at ABC ten as well.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Recently, absolutely, Rachel and I were on the news in
the morning. It was Rachel's first time on TV, so
she was in a studio first, when she was here
last time, then she was on TV. Rachel, how'd you
like being on TV? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (10:46):
So was it? Was it fun? Was it scary at all? Or?
I think I'm trying to get guys to figure out
who it's what? Yeah, the MIC's not working. Probably She's right,
she can teach guys's work.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Sorry, Okay, that's why TV is better than radio.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
On TV, right, So, you know, and you guys know
GT Toys, I mean absolutely, I mean I can never
say enough good stuff about them and about Greg because
I told you, guys this last time. I've known him
for so many years. You know, I knew him long
before Rachel was born. And as soon as he found

(11:31):
out you know what we were doing, and you know
it was for autism. He was like, I'm in you know.
He sponsors our car. He sponsors our autism awareness on
the car and sharing autism facts. He sponsors the race, like,
how can you beat that?

Speaker 3 (11:47):
No? Absolutely? Absolutely, Rach here you.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
By so much?

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Meant oh my, and I like people cheering when I.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
Start the race.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
You're starting the race?

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Yes? And is that your favorite part? Yes? Tell everyone,
Tell everybody why it's your favorite part. You told them
on TV? Tell them again. Now I.

Speaker 3 (12:27):
I throw the race.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
I just start the race, and it shows and it's
a hard thing for me to do it. Just people
think they can do hard things too.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
That's awesome.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
Isn't that amazing?

Speaker 3 (12:41):
What's gonna be more fun? Starting the racer?

Speaker 1 (12:43):
If dad wins it both, we'll take that.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
Very cool.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
Hey, when she starts the race, I already won.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
I love it all right?

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Very cool? All right? So the racers for Autism dot Com,
the number four, get over there, get to get all
the details, clear schedule for Friday night. Let's cheer you
guys on. Let's get you w did you just win
a race?

Speaker 1 (13:08):
Yeah, we just won Friday night, just one Friday night,
Friday Night.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
We got to teach guys how to use the microphones.
It's not is it the other mic? Yeah, it might
be there. That's okay, just scram that one right there, Rachel. Yeah,
we'll teach guys.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
That's it. I just heard the thumb. Share your hands
on it. There you go, pick it up. There you
go pick it up for Rachel.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
There you go. That was his first day in the studio.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
So, by the way, Jordan set us that video. He said,
guys all just check out this video. Really thirteen minutes
in a row.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
In my in my defense, the second I got in here,
people started talking to me today. So it was it
wasn't my fault. Your birthday, right, it is my birthday,
but yeah, they have to be nice to me one day.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
You don't look at day over.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
Racers four Autism dot Com. Support Rachel Jordan. I gotta go.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
Yes, absolutely support Rachel and support our sponsors. I mean
you can go to the website see our sponsors. You
can follow Modiano Motorsports on Facebook. We are constantly updating
stuff there. But I mean, we can't do this without
our sponsors, and we've got so many. I highlight the
Upstate Chevy Dealers because they are by far the biggest sponsor.
This doesn't happen without them. And you know, I can't

(14:34):
be on the radio and not tell everybody drop what
you're doing. Go to a Chevy dealer and buy a Chevy.
I mean, that's it.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
I'm all about it.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Yeah, they're awesome. I mean, I absolutely, It's what I drive.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
It's what the race car is. And their mission to
help us and help us do this. You know, that
becomes near and dear to my heart. So when companies
are going to do things that are near and dear
to my heart, I've got to go out of my
way to help promote them and help them grow.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
And right up until you were mean to me, I
felt the same way about you in the temployment and
everything you do.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
All right, I've got beer in the truck, all right.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
I've always liked you. All right. So yeah, clear your schedule.
We'll be out there. It's a week from this Friday.
All the details everything you possibly you know, Racers the
number four autism dot Com. Did we miss anything, Well.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
Sorry, real quick, Jordan, and back by the way, if
you're listening to our digital sign or you listen to
our radio side and get those links head to our
digital sign Fox Sportsnevy dot com. All those links and
all that information that you need will be on de
band the entire week and then following next week as
we get closer and closer as you mentioned the back
to next Friday. So all those details online and across
social media.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
If you can figure that out.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
No, I can figure that out. I played the g
y guys Jordan, you know those non Zach and Doug.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
But go on.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
I'm sorry to say something, so I'll add this. It's
at Albany Saratoga Speed Yeah Root nine, right between Eggs
and twelve and Eggs at thirteen. I think for adults
to enter, it's fifteen dollars and kids eleven and an under.
It's like two dollars. Where do you go with your
family and have four hours of entertainment and great food

(16:20):
and yeah, just dusty and little dirt flying around, But
that's part of the experience. Where do you go for that?
Like you just don't what's that?

Speaker 3 (16:30):
Rachel?

Speaker 1 (16:30):
It's too dushed you from my eyes? Oh yeah, so hey,
anybody who's who's not a regular race fan, you know,
I'm glad Rachel brought that so brought that up. You
bring eye protection, you know, bring eye protection.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
You got lumped not too long ago, right, I thought
I saw on social media. Did a chunk hit you?

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Yeah that was a different track. Okay, all right, different
track that other track. We won't mention any names. They've
had some challenges with surface this year. And yeah, Rachel
and I went out. They were doing a want to
some event that night, so we went. But yeah, so

(17:11):
so yeah, so give some sunglasses, some protection sunglasses. You know,
adults don't necessarily wear them, but if you've got young
kids coming, some air protection is always a good thing.
Some of the cars are kind of allowed, but it's
it's such a great time, and you know, bring the family,
bring your friends, come out. We're gonna have so we'll
have the Autism Foundations there. We're gonna have the Saratoga

(17:33):
County Sheriff's Department there. They've got a wonderful autism project,
Life Saver, and uh, with a little luck, we're gonna
have somebody from the Firebirds there. I don't know, I
waiting on some confirmations on that, but we're gonna have
an incredible auction going. All of it to raise money
and raise awareness for autism. Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (17:55):
Yeah. When't I got the call from Quarta that you
guys wanted Spike, I was at Disney. So now that
I'm home, lucky care for you.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
Okay, all right, we'll get Spiking, maybe a few Flames
and well let's wake some college you can.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
I'll see what you know. Listen, they the Flames don't
talk to me as much as Spike does. I can't
get rid of them. He's everywhere the bird. Everybody loves Spike.
The Flames are always welcome. We love them.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
They're both all of them. I mean we it's there's
so much fan interaction there and that's what we're just
looking for, more stuff for the fans.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
Absolutely absolutely and looking forward to it. I'm gonna I'm
gonna go to your car and make sure that you
were lying about the beer. All right.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
Well, in fact, we've got about sixty seconds before we
got to sign off here for Vino and Rich, We've
got sixty seconds left.

Speaker 3 (18:39):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
Happy birthday, my friends. We close out. Today is Monday edition.
It's cool to have some great people in the studio.
Rachel and Jordan.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
Go ahead, Jordan, Yeah, happy birthday, Rachel. We want to
tell him happy birthday, Happy birthday.

Speaker 3 (18:51):
Thank you, that one made my day. Rachel's made my day.
The rest of you guys, are you know?

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Once I leave you, everybody's gonna say you were okay?
But Rachel, she's always want what did I say when
I walked in?

Speaker 2 (19:01):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (19:01):
Radio star? That's I mean going though? And now she's
a TV star too.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
And a celebrity for throwing a Greens flag. All right, well,
thank you guys.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
No, thank you. Make sure you check out all the
details again, racers for Autism dot com. She's cracking me up.
