Speaker 1 (00:02):
It's time for the Top four four with Levac and
goz Day.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Now for the four biggest stories and the world of sports.
It's called the Top four of four. It's broad you
by Mohawk Condo where they always go out of their
way to please you. And here's guys with the fourth
biggest story.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
I haven't known what to do with this story all week,
so now here I go, jammed it into the Top four. Frodia,
we have not mentioned these Danny Jansen situation, Levak. Have
you been following this Danny Janson situation of Major League Baseball?
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Sure?
Speaker 3 (00:33):
I have.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
What are we talking about?
Speaker 3 (00:35):
Toronto Blue Jay turned Boston Red Sox catcher Danny Jansen
didn't just play for two teams in the same game.
It's the first time ever in the history of baseball
this happened. So if you don't know what we're talking about,
he also did, by the way, in the same inning.
Danny Jansen became the first Major League baseball player ever
(00:56):
to appear on both sides of a baseball box scorer
when he took the field yesterday for the Boston Red
Sox as they started up a rain delayed game against
the Toronto Blue Jays from back in June. Well, he
was traded, that's right on the Red Sox. Excuse me,
on the Blue Jays back to the Red Sox, same game.
Jansen quote. I was surprised when I found out I
(01:19):
was the first one to do it back. What do
you make of this happening? Danny Jansen playing for two
teams in the same game, and it never happened in
a baseball history before that.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
I'm kind of shocked. It never happened before. He didn't
like play play for the second part, right, He's just
on the box score, but he didn't. I don't think
I don't think they had his uniform ready. He walked out,
he like ripped off one like a stripper and threw
the other one on like that. That's not what he caught.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
He got pitch hitting for Danny Janssen defensive changes. Danny
Jansen now would catch her. He was then behind the plate.
I mean, that's that's kind of crazy. Then he get
hit later in the game in the bottom two outs
to the bottom half of the inning.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
That Will Ferrell thing he did where he shut up
and he played like for every team. It's like that.
It feels weird. I like it, though it's weird.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
This is if you go out and play trivia here locally,
or if you're listening to iHeart app, this will be
a trivia question that's not on the list, but like,
what is it like? The impossible trivia question to answer
the hartist the tiebreaker, this will be on that list
of In the year twenty twenty four, one player became
the first player ever to play for two teams in
(02:25):
the same game. His name is Jannie Janssen.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
You are jonesing to host trivia against in the last
two weeks. I have heard you referenced. Oh, that'd be
a great trivia question. Oh did you know I used
to host trivia. I hosted a trivia here before. I
used to your Hey, if you're looking for a trivia
host and a reasonable pay, gozz is in. He wants
to be a trivia host again, so bad.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
There was a time in our lives, more so mine
than yours, that every Wednesday we'd have a staff, we'd
play trivia, different categories. We'd call the interns in. We
would stop everything and I play a good thirty to
forty five minutes of tribute with everybody to get over
a hump Day happy hour and make every way to.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Practice your questions for you too. And it was fun.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
It was always a good time. We always enjoyed it.
Now I've got kids, and don't leave the house.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Kids aren't cheap? Who lost the host? Trivia? Answer?
Speaker 3 (03:16):
God, if you're willing to pay me, I will be there,
all right.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
I mean I didn't think you'd go for free. Oh
we used to one at one point one of the
I'll let us get back to the top four or
four in a second. One of the stations I worked
at it was are you smarter than reddeck Trivia? So
you had to go against me. It was me and
then all the teams. So if you won, uh, you
got like a gift card or whatever. If you I'm
sure you got a prize if you want and beat
(03:41):
me at a gift card too. I got to choose
the categories. That was my handacah. So like if you
were the host, you'd be like, all right, is it
Nascar or uh, you know, award shows or whatever, and
I'd be like, Nascar, let's go like it was it was,
so it'll cost double. But we could do that somewhere
if somebody wanted.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
Now there's a part of me that wonders like if
I was just out there for free yelling out trivia.
It's been a while, Dandy Jansend Daddy, I can't wait
for the River next week. You and I are on
the Birthday Game next week. I'm just gonna be yelling
out answers.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
Is it? I don't know if I've recovered from the
whooping Honorado gave me. It was a beat up.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
We're on the same team next week. If you missed it,
seven thirty in the morning, every day next week, ninety
nine to five, the River Birthday Game. We're battling Kevin
and Tracy Jack Lamson's hosting by the way.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Back killing me already.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Let's talk about story number three. If you missed it
earlier in the show Apples Spotify, the iHeart app We've
got news involving former first round pick by the New
York Giants, Kadarius Tony, now a member of the Kansas
City Chiefs. Psych Kadarius Tony cut by the Kansity Chiefs
today they brought a Juju Smith Schuster Tony, the former
first round pick, now a free agent. Uh Lavac also
(04:48):
just want to add this as well, rumors still out
there that Cole Burgess talking about cut down days. The
product Greenwich Division three Zone Cortland State National champions may
have made the Bengal roster. But let's focus on Kadarius
Tony here. You mentioned earlier in the show he can
be a match for an NFL team. Yeah, do you
think he gets a shot here in twenty twenty four
with another NFL team?
Speaker 2 (05:08):
I do? I think he does. I mean, you're out
here talking about signing forty year olds, So if that'd
be the case, I think young Djoko could get a job.
What like I thought about it, like the Raiders, Right,
So the Raiders have a definite quarterback situation, Gardner, Minshew
Aidan O'Connell. Neither one of those guys right now are
slotted to be Pro bowlers, right. What if you had
a guy who could turn a bubble screen into another
(05:29):
forty yards You've got You've got good weapons right now?
Could you add him? Problem is would he buy into
Antonio Pierce's what he's selling. I don't think he would.
So you got you gotta find the right leadership that
would be able to get him in line. You bring
up Josh Gordon a lot. Josh Gordon got a lot
of opportunities because Josh Gordon was a freak athlete. So
I think Darius Tony also a freak athlete. Will someone
(05:52):
give him a chance to become a return man? What
is he?
Speaker 3 (05:56):
I don't want to do this, but it actually does
make a little bit of sense if you're telling me
the Cincinnati Bengals are a team that you think is
a player away, Like that's really what it'ud be. Kadarius
Tony would go to a team that you think the
missing piece for this is a explosive wide receiver, like
the Bengals would fit this offensive we the Bengals would
fit this, The Packers would fit this, the build, the
Bills sort of Atlanta sort of all these teams that
(06:19):
say we can get over the hump by having this
guy out here. The reason I brought the Bengals first
is because they mentioned that Colbert just makes them. But
someone said, hey, Cincinnati things they can be over the
top here with Tony. He might lose his roster spot
because of that, but he also has his offensive coordinator
who he knows, Dan Pitcher, with a Courtland connection that
maybe that keeps the spot. I don't want Tony to
go to the Bengals anywhere else. I guess if I
(06:42):
had to really pick between unemployed or another team, gosh,
the boy, I don't have you know what I'd have
to say, unemployed. I don't have a team that like
screams he's going to the I don't feel confident anybody
for Cadarius Tony on August twenty seventh can change.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
I think Jacksonville's refits.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
They need another troubled wide out. Calvin Ridley's firing off
parlays bring him in. Yeah, perfect, Herbert Meyers screaming that
could have been made. Told you so about Percy Harvinac.
Now that comparison earlier in the first.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
Hour, Peterson did pretty well with uh with he's the
OC when t O was there? Yeah, why not for
the Eagles.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
Let's be won the story Number two, The New York
Mets take on the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight. That's a nine
to forty first pitch in the desert. The Snakes shut
Naya on the mound for the Mets tonight. This is
a very important series, Levac. You and I both believe
in this. This could potentially put the end dare I
say the snake bite to be venomous if the Mets
(07:45):
get bit in the series that the airs on Diamondbacks.
I don't think I was too much of a stretch there.
This is a nope, we're not doing that.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
No, do it, do it, do it, don't, don't come on,
do it? Change my way.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
I'm a different man now take ye hot ay kee.
Will we look back and say this was one of
the most important series of the season for the New
York Mets. I didn't want to do it, shot myself.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Yes, if they make it. I think if they were
able to win out in this year, like do well
in the series and they can propel them for it.
If they lose, I think we'll just look back and
be like, yeah, it's just more losses. But if they
win it, I think we could very well look back,
go this was an important series. A big al over
in sales wants to every time you do something like that,
he wants to save it at the end of the
(08:28):
week doing oh my Gods segment like, oh my gods,
what did he say? Now?
Speaker 3 (08:33):
I have worked with you too long. I'm not making
this up. As I read that out loud, I thought
about Big Al and I'm like, this would have been it, right, And.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
I didn't even know.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
Did I even know you talked to him today?
Speaker 2 (08:44):
He told me this morning.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
I didn't even know. I had no clue. I thought
the same thing. So there you go if you're your
local business and want the oh my gosh moment of
the week, oh stumbling through a Is this the most
important series of the season for the New York Mets
and the fun week of August against the top team
in the wild Card. By the way, here's a dumb
stat but maybe impactful for tonight's game. Did you know
(09:07):
that when the arias in a Diamondbacks hit more than
two home runs in a game, they are thirty seven
and twelve.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Did you know that when wait, let me look ahead
and real quick, I'll tell you next, I'll give you mine.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
Did you know who no old school sports center closing
it out?
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (09:25):
And sorry?
Speaker 2 (09:27):
Number one?
Speaker 3 (09:28):
The New York Yankee tack on the Washington Nationals tonight
six forty five, first pitch in the Nation's Capitol. Garret
Cole on the mound for the New York Yankees tonight
the ace of the team and at one point not
too long ago. Someon would have thought this player could
have been the ace for the New York Yankees, but
he said nah, not signing with the Yankees. That is
former Central New York pitcher Patrick Corbyn, the pride of Cicero,
(09:49):
North Syracuse heighth School. I believe the HVCC four player
did he pitch at Hudson Valley, so he's got a
little capital or regent ties as well.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
I believe he's a Hudson Valley former picture as well.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
Patrick Harvard and the Hudson could it be your own
modern if you didn't actually graduate, you just went there for.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
A while, just attended. Excuse me, Mohawk Valley community. What
a nerd?
Speaker 2 (10:15):
We used to pick on all those kids. It's stealing
lunch money. That's not true. How about this for a
stat when Juan Soto and Aaron Judge both hit a
home run in the same game. The Yankees are four
and oh I like that.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
That's a freaking stat.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Okay, I like that apples huh all right, uh, listen,
I don't like Patrick Corbyn. I'll talk about it him
to play the day, all right, play the day. Corbyn gets.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
Both barrels there's a lot of stories about Patrick Corbyn
that I don't know how many I believe and don't believe.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
At this point.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
I believe that he played for Mohawk Valley, that he
didn't actually want to play baseball till the sophomore year.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
High school.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
CNS is like the shen of Syracuse and there's like,
all right, guess I'll play my senior year and just
dominated it's like, I don't you people, man, I don't
need this.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
I don't need people.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
I don't need you, like kind of interested in a
sport and then getting a huge deal in Major League
Baseball and you're like, eh, all right, fine, I guess
I'll do it.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Maybe if you would listen to your beautiful wife and
got your shoulder fixed, you could have been the Ali
Marpett of Hobart and played for the pros.
Speaker 3 (11:16):
These lefties of their advantages just showed up when they
feel like, I don't think it's called two arms.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
You only have one that works. Now I have.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
Another, Oh my gosh moment. I keep that to myself,
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
What is it? What does it? Do it? Do it?
You want to do it?
Speaker 3 (11:30):
No?
Speaker 2 (11:30):
No, no, do it?
Speaker 3 (11:31):
You can't say that I'm seeing pictures be successful in
baseball with one.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Arm, well, well one and a half he was missing.
It was like a third that was missing. That's your
top four for I mean, was a kid and he
first allieder, first started pitching, and I was on vacation
up Heirst Lake and now later has two arms about
(11:58):
Jim Abbott, Oh Jim Abbott. Sorry yeah, listen, you got
me off far. He took me off guard. You went
down the path was expected. Well, there much Jim Abbit.
So it was ab had just started just I think
he I think he just made his debut. I'm up there.
(12:19):
It was my aunt's friends and they had the twin boys,
and one of them his arm was almost identical to Habits.
That kid beat the daylight out of all of us
in a whiffootball game, just beat the because he's like
I always knew I could play. And then I saw
they started telling me about Hi when I was in college,
and like he just I was frightening how much better
(12:41):
he was than the rest of them.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
It's inspiring. And then like they were being serious, like
it's inspired. I think there are some kids, whether it's
male or female, like who are faced with these disabilities
and they just go so far in their life. You're like,
this is not a disability. I'm living my life, Like
I know, we just had fun there about jim Amba,
like for real, Like he's inspiring to so many people,
Like they don't. Hey, this is a part of my personality.
(13:03):
It takes maturity and all those things.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
Yeah, I see, I see Twitter is already going off.
Am I getting getting roasted? I hope? So it's possible. No,

He's got an opportunity to close it out and wins
some wonderful donations to a local charity here in the
Capital Region. Wish that's right with Capital Region ties and
all the great things going on there. But we are
all within striking distance. In my mind. I'm in second place,
Quinn's in third, Cantara can Terrors in last. But maybe
you can find a super effective cash in. We're hoping
(13:49):
all of us cash.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
Ins vacation are they gonna get in?
Speaker 3 (13:52):
I feel the confident they will. They did last time.
They took two vacations this summer. I'm confident they're gonna
get their wagers in C four Up. What about that
nice text we just got there, Lavac. I wish you'd
shared on social about the Tamarack Athletic teams being C
four fans.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
Well, the coaches, at least are are into it. I
don't know about the kids. The kids are like watching
the coaches run circles around right now because that explosive
energy you can feel. I think this is what's going on.
The orange popsicle seems to be the flavor of the
day thought since their colors are read where they drink
the cherry. But whatever, what do I know? But they
can go grab those over at Stewart's at Speedway. I

and nine eighty.
Speaker 2 (19:12):
Because all these NFL players are being released today so
clubs can make their fifty three man roster. You know,
we saw Kadarius Tony, thought about young Joco, We you know,
covered him for a minute. One of my favorite players
has been released by the Las Vegas Raiders, possibly the
greatest preseason quarterback.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
Of all time, Mister August.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Mister August himself. Nate Peterman. Nathan Peterman, thirty years old.
He's out there, He's available, coming off of a twelve
for nineteen, one hundred and eight yard touchdown performance against
the San Francisco forty nine ers. I don't know why
I love certain players the way I do. Nate Peterman's
(19:55):
preseason stats. If he's on a roster, bet that team,
I know they're gonna score.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
I know why you of Nathan Peterman because I trashed
him for so long and he wanted him to be
good for so long for this show, because I.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
Like him too, Like his preseason How can you be
like not just good? And I get it, Like a
lot of times he's facing the side of the twos
or the threes, but even against the ones in preseason,
that dude will throw six touchdowns in a game. In
regular season, that dude will throw six interceptions in a quarter.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
There is an argument to be made about Nathan Peterman
that he's one of the worst quarterbacks who has ever
played in the NFL. Now, I'm not talking like skill wise,
because there's guys who've been slower than him, but statistically speaking,
with more than like two games played, I'm not talking
like somebody who played once and was tear I'm like
four or five games. There's an argument to be made
that he's the worst quarterback who's ever taken the field.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
However, he's seen Johnny Manziel.
Speaker 3 (20:51):
Johnny Manziel was better than Nathan Peterman. He doesn't he didn't.
He didn't have as many turnovers.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
Yeah, but he didn't have as many touchdowns. He's not
as good, you know.
Speaker 3 (20:59):
I mean, he got more to be there. And that's it.
Like I was gonna say the same thing I've sid
for the last to be there. The last five years
for Nathan Peterman has been like, how does this guy
keep getting other opportunities? The answer is he's a good teammate,
he knows the offense, he plays well in the preseason,
he looks great in practice. That's it. Like, miss, I
cannot deny the greatness of mister august. I don't know
(21:21):
if you'll ever get a chance to get in a
regular season game, but he's been. There's no denying how
good he's been in the preseason.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
None.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
That's why he keeps getting all the opportunities. He is
historically bad in the history of the NFL in the
regular season. This just makes sense, does not up.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
I don't like it. It makes me mad, Poor Nate Peterman.
Speaker 3 (21:38):
Do you want to get madder? Sure, We've been talking
about this throughout the show today, and I think I've
done a good enough job of coding this the right way,
making sure I cover myself There are now reports coming
from Cincinnati that Colbert just is not making the fifty
three man roster. This came moments ago. Yep, Corey, there's
(21:58):
usually a early only call in once, but Ben Baby
from espanis the source on this. Jennifer Schultz is a
source on this. Jeremy Rouch so Fox and Cincinnati are
saying that Cole Burgess has been waived. However, he is
going to be on the team's practice squad, which doesn't
sound very exciting to some people. That is a huge
(22:20):
deal if he made the practice squad, because not if
an injury happens, they own his rights. He's gonna get paid.
I believe the practice squad's eighty to one hundred and
five thousand for a salary. I think it's sixteen hundred
a week, is the last time I heard. But here's
the thing with that too, You're now I can sign
him off your practice squad. Where if you're on the
fifty three man roster and I'm not gonna use you,
you just sit there. Sure, you make a little more
(22:41):
money whatever, But now you go out there, you wreck it.
People are talking about you. You might get scooped up
and moved over twelve five hundred a week for practice squad.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Okay, I thought it was sixteen. I think that with
the reason I remember it is the Bengals offensive lineman
whose daughter had cancer and he made the practice squad
so they could give him health benefits. I think with
the benefits at sixteen hundred a week.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
Yeah, that might be right, and especially it's gonna increase
every year up until twenty thirty.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
So still still Devin, still yeah.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
Steven still yeah. So those are conflicting reports. We're rooting
for Cole. But yeah, we're seeing a lot of big
names hit the market now who have had impacts in
the NFL. We're looking at Gable Stevenson. I want to
make sure he nailed that last name of the former
olympian who the bill signed. He's also been he had
a long way to go, though. It was almost as
if like, hey, we're gonna give this a shot. You're
probably not gonna make the team, but there's nothing wrong
(23:35):
with us kicking the tires on an all time great
olympian trying to play football.
Speaker 2 (23:39):
Bad news Packers fans. The Pack have placed running back A. J.
Dillon on season ending ir So you got Josh Jacobs,
which is nice, but it would have been nicer to
have that one two punch. Did you see the Ari
melrav Is the is the one who put it out
the pictures on the legs on this dude, the Quad's
(24:01):
Quadzilla AJ Dillon. So hopefully he heals appropriately and he's
he's back in the NFL. At some point.
Speaker 3 (24:07):
There's something about Boston College and their running backs. They're
one of the few college teams who really care about
running backs. Giant fans might remember this number, Andre Williams,
who was picked by the Giants a few years ago.
I want a Boston College running back to do well.
I would like to see that happen, but it seems
like A J. Dillon, Andre Williams and others who come
from there. It's a different type of impact. You got
(24:28):
to catch the ball out of the back film everything
else but Green Bay. That is actually a big loss
for then with that's that means a lot more for
Josh Jacobs and Aaron Jones left.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
Yeah, well Josh shas left me, so I don't care.
Speaker 3 (24:40):
We are getting rapid fire NFL news here in the
fourth we got more news back Odell Beckham Junior breaking
news he's also going on the pup list. He is
with the Miami Dolphins. Dolphin wide receiver Odell Beckham Junior
will begin the season on the popp list, missing the
first four games of this season.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
That might be good for him though, because he has
when was the last time he played a full season? Like,
if I have to miss four games for OBJ, let
it be the first four because I don't remember last
time he's played well, seventeen sixteen, eighteen nineteen with playoffs whatever,
I don't remember last time he played full through.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
He had a fifteen million dollar deal with the Ravens
last year, fifteen dollars fifteen dollars, fifteen million dollars for
a one year deal for Baltimore. He was It's okay,
he was fine. The stats for Odell Beckham Junior are
wild And I don't know, I said, say you're a
hater of Odell. I just feel like you've thought at
times he's been wildly overrated, that those first three seasons
(25:37):
for him are all time great seasons, and then after
that it was not. I mean, the twenty fourteen was
his rookie season. That's a decade ago.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
My problem with the O'Dell Beckham Junior is the same
one I have with the Baker Mayfields of the World
and stuff like that, where it's just like, you have
so much talent, you were a freak, but you it's
not the most important thing to you. Like I've watched that,
I've seen people who have real, real talent, and it's
just so amazing to watch it and then watch the
(26:07):
people who go, I have real talent. I don't care.
Those people are just it's makes you wish I was
good at something. I don't really care what something is
that coming off.
Speaker 3 (26:15):
That Patrick Corbin tik I just had. Are we both
feeling that vibe after that?
Speaker 2 (26:19):
I just i't play baseball or whatever? Yeah, I mean
well no, I mean that's the thing with with oj.
You watch what he could do on the football field,
and it was it was otherworldly. One handed, fallen down
catches in a loss. Sorry, I I want to get
in trouble for that one. But he was way more
worried about Instagram and TikTok and everything else. And he's
still to a degree, I think he still is. So
(26:42):
imagine if they if you get a full buy in
from a guy.
Speaker 3 (26:45):
Like that, it's Jerry Rice two point out, no one
wants to have a wash when they do a big
time deal with their favorite NFL team, Like they say
that nobody on the trade because that's not fun. But
Odell Beckham Junior in those first three seasons for the Giants,
that yardage he has yet to have that can bind
since then six seasons. That's unbelievable. So some Giant fans
are always gonna say they made the right decision moving
(27:07):
on from Odell Beckham Junior. Some are gonna say that's
absolutely right. Others are gonna say we didn't because we
didn't get better. We had one playoff season post Odell,
So how are we gonna say we made the right
decision when he left? When he didn't weren't good after.
There's a lot of trades like that that happened where
both teams feel like they benefited. Really the true benefit
is did your team win more football games post trade?
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Mike mcdale crazy offensive line doesn't have OBJ Now is
that where Kadarius Tony goes goes to Miami, fits in
some crazy scheme package that they've got for him. That
could be impressive, that could be fun to watch. I
(27:48):
forgot OHJ was even in Miami. That's how long ago
that news came out.
Speaker 3 (27:54):
I don't know how much of an impact he's gonna
have this season. I thought he could potentially, Like when
you were off, we did a quick segment about O'Dell, like, hey,
he could in a super competitive division with the Jets
and the Dolphins and the Bills, change a game, and
you know what, I'm gonna stick by that still in December,
when there's a close game, Odell could still go for
a seventy yard touchdown. If there's an injury to the secondary,
(28:15):
he could still beat somebody one on one. He could
still decide the AFC East in a pivotal game this season.
I'll stick with that take.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
Odell could. Oh yeah, well, then so could Gadarius Tony.
Speaker 3 (28:28):
He's not on one of those teams yet.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
Well right now, I don't disagree with that. I not
for four weeks.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
I'm not as much as I'm not a huge Tony fan.
I actually would agree with that point too, that if
caius like Cincinnati, I'll go back to it again, like
Cincinnati's looking for a third wide receiver, or Atlanta thinks
they can win the South this season. Green Bay has
some unproven targets. I don't think the Jets makes a
lot of sense because Rogers knows who he wants to
work with, and I think Tony again in the New
York media might be too much. The Jets don't want
(28:57):
any type of distraction. The Jets two thousand, twenty three
Jet and twenty twenty four Jet and I'm talking Jet fan,
Jet media member, Jet player. Whole different mindset this season.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
What's wondery?
Speaker 3 (29:12):
Isn't that like the wordle?
Speaker 2 (29:14):
I know it's Amazon's I believe it's their Amazon's pod Center.
I believe, Oh, okay, because they just gave one hundred
million dollars to New Heights Whoa Travis and Jason Kelsey's podcast,
one hundred million dollars for a three year play where
they will have all the distribution rights and everything else
(29:34):
for the podcast. According to Variety, one hundred million dollars
for three years. Could we survive on that? I mean,
I don't know if we could do that. I think
we'll be okay, figure it out. How insane is that
to be that good at the any things? Damn that
I hate them so much.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
Jason Kelsey retired more than likely going to be a
Hall of Famer when it's all said and done. Travis
Kelcey following that same path rumors of whether or not
he was going to retire following the Super Bowl championship
for the Chiefs and his relationship with Taylor Swift back
to people being super talented. Like you said, Kelsey, I've
read a stat somewhere that he's triple the amount of
(30:14):
any other NFL player in twenty twenty four for upcoming
marketing commercials. Someone Darren Ravel's working real hard to get
those stats up there. But he's got all the marketing.
He's got the podcast. Maybe he sees that and says,
got the woman. He's like, Hey, for my podcast to
be more successful for this hundred million dollar contract that
was offered by this business. If I stay active this season,
(30:35):
more people are gonna care about me as an NFL
player than a post NFL player. Might be short sighted,
might be underselling himself for his abilities, but that's a
strategy right now. Most people see one hundred million dollars
away from the field and be like, I'd like to
get to that one hundred million dollars police, I'd like
to go in that direction.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
Yeah, but you can do both. I mean he's been
doing he's been doing both like he's he still makes
what he I think he's what seventeen eighteen million a
year or something like that, And if things stay the
way they are with with his girlfriend, he's never gonna
need money ever again. I mean, she's got way he couldn't.
I don't think he could catch her. There's I don't
think there's any way he could financially catch up to her.
(31:14):
She's Taylor swith is is. It has to be one
of the most lucrative just entities in the world right
now by and not even close, not close, but there's
all right, the more podcast stuff or such a broadcast though.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
And also I think Annie Agar, our dear dear friend,
also signed a deal with them. So if you like her, yeah,
I think if you like your she's super too. I'm
so bummed you got to meet her at Vegas and
I didn't.
Speaker 2 (31:43):
It was quick.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
It was very quick, quicker than what I got. I
just stared at them cross the room. I was you
were quicker than I was. Yeah, that's that's right. Good
for Annie Agar. I hope I see her again very soon.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
Where's ours? Where's ours? Guys? You've been the one who's
been you know, you put us on on podcasting also
this now we're back on radio because of you. What
are we doing? We've got where's one hundred million dollars?
Where's one hundred million dollars?
Speaker 3 (32:08):
Come on, iHeartMedia. Where's the money.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
Did you hear who's replacing here? We give you another one.
Do you hear's replacing Tom Brady on Let's Go the
show that he does?
Speaker 3 (32:17):
Jim Gray just doing a Tom Brady impression. Nope, Oh,
let me guess. Hang on, hang on, hang on, Peyton Manning.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
Bill Belichick is replacing Tom Brady on Tom Brady Show.
Let's go.
Speaker 3 (32:33):
Someone let Brady know freaking sent He's like, I'm done,
I'm coming back. Shout out to Jim Gray. Jim Gray
before ad get Brady.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
Said quote for twenty years, I threw the ball for
Coach Belichick, and now I'm passing the microphone to him.
Speaker 3 (32:49):
Let's go, all right, Belichick, He's he's gonna be busy
this offseason. You're gonna get a lot of Bill Belichick,
maybe more Bill Belichick. You're ready for, maybe more Bill
Belichick than Bill Belichick's ready for this offseason.
Speaker 2 (33:06):
Also Max Crosby will be part of the show. Oh
very cool. All right.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
You see you reacted as a woe is if? If
you don't want that to be a thing. No, I
mean I don't, I don't.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
It's all right. I mean, here he does a podcast.
What's the big deal? But I would like for him
to be focused on eating quarterbacks. But he's fine, he's dedicated,
he's in there. He's no Baker Mayfield. Jim Baker's fine.
Baker's fine.
Speaker 3 (33:30):
Jim. Jim Gray got the Bill Pelichick podcast, the Tom
Brady podcast, the Decision, Big Time Boxing. There's some Jim
Gray haters.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
He sold his soul.
Speaker 3 (33:39):
That's what the other that's what other media people say
about Jim Gray. A lot of media people are jealous
of Jim Gray because he got every spot that they wanted.
Speaker 9 (33:47):
What do you sell his soul for?
Speaker 3 (33:49):
It was nice to us, he was very nice to us.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
When he's pumping up his book, he's all right, he's
all right. He didn't buy me a watch, didn't buy
me ring, didn't buy me anything.
Speaker 3 (34:00):
David Lilli and David Fine jewelers can do that. They
are not the Jim Gray of jewelry. Although I like
Jim Gray. I love Lili and David Fine, Jueliers, Alyssa
and David and Tammy and Gee. I love saying their
names because I've got a real relationship with them. I've
talked to them before. I know all the great things
that g has going on his family. A listen David
as well. It's Tammy Facebook friends. These are real people
who want to help you celebrate those great moments in
(34:20):
your life, whether it's that engagement moment guy's been waiting
for it, whether that's two for one wedding band deals,
if you're getting engaged or sitting at a wedding.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
No fall weddings.
Speaker 3 (34:30):
Enough of that especially, I'll even offer of this. If
you've booked October twelfth as a wedding day, that is
the best college football Saturday of the year. Cancel your wedding.
Shut it down right now, Lillian, no wedding for you.
Lilli and David Fine Jewliers would have given you advice.
You can walk in there. What do you think about
fall weddings? God said no, and then they.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
Brought you in as a consultant. And that's what you did.
Like here's Alyssa, here's this perfect band, the cut, the clarity,
all that boom boom boom, and now here's here's guy's
for a little extra planning. What do you thinking?
Speaker 7 (35:01):
No?
Speaker 2 (35:02):
Have you seen the slaty games?
Speaker 3 (35:03):
My weddings and sid No? What about No? No, nope,
just eliminate the fall. But they will help you, I
know from experience. My wedding band, my engagement ring, a
wonderful pair of Verian's necklace, all the great things that
fits my wife, style and fashion. They've helped me find
it and they can do the same for you as well.
Family owned and operated business. If you've got one more
road trip, Lilian David Fine Jewelers up north here in
(35:25):
the camp reach, you can do it, Levac. You and
I are going to be broadcasting from Wilton, New York,
coming up in September as well. So if you're gonna
transfer that broadcast, leave with our friends at McGregor Lynx
come out in September. So if you're heading in the
Wilton direction in September, we're gonna be up there as well.
Lillian David Fine Jewelers, stop and say hello, yo, our
friends Chris and Chad. It's been too long. Those guys
are doing a bunch of stuff. We got two events
(35:46):
coming up them in September.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
Just posted something to tell you about, like I need
a sledgehammer after six o'clock? Can you bring it to me?
And I'm like, what the hell is? I don't want
to know. I just don't want to know. He's probably
playing golf with it. For what I know.
Speaker 3 (35:58):
Chad text me the other day and said, come and
play golf.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
Mischief man. He missed those guys, all right, listen when
I also missed his play of the day and winning.
Maybe we can get back to that today, huh. Maybe
Slovak Gods Fox Sports Radio ninety five, nine and nine eighty.
Speaker 6 (36:14):
Hi, everybody, it's Savannah got thron hotocopy from the Today Show.
Speaker 1 (36:17):
It's Lovak and guys on the Voice of the Capitol
Regions Sports Fan Fox Sports ninety five, nine and nine eighty.
Speaker 2 (36:24):
Time for the Play of the Day, which is brought
to a Mohawk's Chevrolet where they Taylor's drive a Mark
Chevroy where they always go out the way to please you.
So weird. My arm like broke out after I got
back from Disney and it's finally like healing, but it
was like it was like it was all like, right here,
a bunch of little bumps, but they're gone now.
Speaker 3 (36:43):
But you don't want to share that on social You're
gonna have amateur doctors.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
Oh my god, have you ever have you ever put
anything in the web md like I hit my toe
into a door, like you currently have pancreatic cancer and
you're gonna die. It's like bang of toe, yes, but
it's everything's everything.
Speaker 3 (37:00):
You've got a symptom. You're gonna die soon. So right
by the way, your survival rates zero, so you're dead.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
Hey, I don't know if you know this, you're not
gonna survive how long. I don't know suit later.
Speaker 3 (37:10):
I say this is joking, but this is probably some
real business behind this. If WebMD was smart, they'd put
stuff behind a paywall. Well, we've got four of your symptoms,
but if you want to find out the other four
and what they cause, you can sign up for nine
ninety nine a month thanks to web You know how
many people would pay for that immediately? I gotta know,
I gotta know that you're gonna tell me I'm gonna
die soon. I'll give you one hundred and twenty bucks
(37:30):
to tell me that's bad.
Speaker 2 (37:31):
You go see a doctor evil, you might live or
die ten dollars to find out, Like, I mean, it's real,
Like what you're saying is real evil.
Speaker 3 (37:40):
There were a lot of newspaper companies out there that
when there was some health scares, be like, yeah, here's
your cure to whatever you have, as long as you
sign up to this newspaper.
Speaker 2 (37:49):
Was what was the Ellen DeGeneres a little bit like this,
this food is killing you.
Speaker 3 (37:54):
She's like, it's it peace.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
I bet it's peace. I just had peace, and then
like more after this. No, oh, I don't want to
sit to the commercial. All right, so do you? You
don't have your play day yet?
Speaker 3 (38:06):
I have a play but I'm I'm very nervous. That
might be the theme of the next I botched mine
last night. Oh no, you didn't botch yours last night.
I watched mine last night.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
You know, but I also didn't win.
Speaker 3 (38:18):
Why don't you say why you didn't win? Well, because
I thought Wan Sotto went hit a home run last night.
As we spoke earlier, I thought the standing ovation took
him off his game. I think he felt bad, you know,
I don't think he realized there's a lot of Yankee
fans there.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
But what you know what? Okay, so I didn't win.
I didn't win my bet.
Speaker 3 (38:35):
That's what you call batching your Monday play. If you
were listening to the show yesterday and my play of
the day was the under in Cubs Pirates, thought that
would be a nice matchup Keller on the mound for
the Pirates young pitching staff. Again, that over under yesterday
for Cubs Pirates was eight and a half. The Cubs
scored eighteen runs. How often in any sport, football, baseball, basketball,
(39:00):
hockey might be the most the biggest culprit where you
wager it over under and one team not just hits
the number by themselves, but double the over under.
Speaker 2 (39:12):
That's right.
Speaker 3 (39:13):
I did the math. Eighteen and a half times two
is seventeen. The Cubs had eighteen runs, Levac it was
eighteen to eighth the final, Ryan McCarthy, you mark this down.
There are gonna be some epic whiffs in the play
of the day that is the winner in twenty twenty four.
I don't know if I'm gonna whiff worse than having
(39:33):
the over under total hit by a team and doubled
by the team. So I'm very gun shy. I know
in the history of the play of the day, I've
always given a play. My confidence is beaten right now,
so I need you to lead off because I'm struggling
after last night's awful performance.
Speaker 2 (39:48):
I got a little greedy with the pennstroy parlay. The
Wan subtle home run didn't happen, The over nine didn't happen.
I had the other three, so jodsh got ahead. Cortes
four plus strikeouts. He actually five Yankees one, so like
I was. If I was betting those individually, I would
have been okay. But as as making them, you know,
the penstraight parlay, I got banged up, which would lead
(40:12):
you to believe there's no way I would do it again. However,
I am Jeff Levac and I represent the pin stripe parlay.
Acknowledge this, my friends Yankees money line over nine runs
(40:37):
home runs not only from Aaron Judge but also from
Wan Soda. That is the pinstright parlay for today. Over
nine Yankees win. Judge and Soto both go yard. That
is plus one eight. That is a ten dollars wager,
bringing back a one hundred and fourteen dollars and eighty
four cents plus my initial ten back. And the reason
(41:00):
I do that is because Patrick Corbyn is on the
mound for the Nationals and Patrick Corbyn about to get
smoked by the Yankees for everything he did wrong.
Speaker 3 (41:10):
Was it thirty seven or fifty seven? I know I
gave the stat last week. I believe it's fifty seven,
but it's so outraged it seems too high that he
ended his streak finally, a fifty seven consecutive starts for
when he was on the mound. The Nationals weren't favored
in the matchup.
Speaker 2 (41:25):
Well that's not the case tonight. They're very big underdogs
this evening, as they should be, as it should be, thankfully,
and I feel like it's gonna be fine. I feel
that the Yankees will handle business, by the way. I
know what you're wondering. How many times does Patrick Corbyn
face the Yankees. He has faced them four times. He
(41:47):
pitched very well when he was in Arizona back in
twenty thirteen. He did okay in twenty twenty with the Nationals,
but in twenty one and in twenty three he got
his butt kicked okay, And that's what's gonna happen tonight
when Soto, Judge, probably Taurus, maybe stant Maybe everybody goes yard.
(42:07):
Maybe Garrett Cole hits a home run from the pitcher's mound.
I think it's possible. I think that's something can happen.
Yankees win ten to one tonight. It's gonna be ooh beautiful.
Speaker 3 (42:15):
A beat down, just a beat down, as you say, yes,
I have like three I don't like soon Mack Action
football will be back soon, college football soon in the NFL.
Speaker 2 (42:27):
Thursday, we get all the football. I can't wait.
Speaker 3 (42:29):
We're gonna be live at Rivers and a half an
hour to end the show commercial freezer, we do our
fantasy football draft. That's gonna be a lot of fun.
Speaker 2 (42:35):
I'm a better move because if we get if that
starts and then everybody's like taking their full like two
three minutes, whatever the hell it is, and we're sitting
there forever going all right, everybody we got like you
and I'll have how many people in the league, twelve twelve? Yeah,
you and I will be like eleven and twelve and
we won't get a single pick in because everybody's over
there emmin and on not knowing what to do.
Speaker 3 (42:54):
The worst part is gonna prob at least, I'm gonna
give out my draft strategy as soon as we know
the draft order. Simon's gonna listen and driving into rivers,
be like, oh you love Garret Wilson. Huh oh, guess
what one pick ahead?
Speaker 2 (43:05):
Gone?
Speaker 3 (43:05):
You like Kelsey Gone? I'm between three picks here tonight?
Speaker 2 (43:08):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (43:08):
Do I take? Do I take the Orioles as a
dog against the Dodgers tonight on the road. I don't
love that matchup with Los Angeles at home in Baltimore.
I think Flerty is actually a pretty good picture, and
Baltimore's throwing Irvin tonight, who's not very good. So I
don't love that. But plus one sixty five is a
dog on the road, thinking about it for my favorite team.
(43:29):
But that's too much of a heart play Rangers White Socks.
The Rangers are throwing a picture tonight, and hey, who's
four and thirteen and the White Sox are only plus
one point fifteen? That doesn't seem right. That line stinks
to me. I don't want to roll around in the stench,
But can I read? That's what I like when I'm wagering.
If it stinks out loud, you have to roll around
(43:50):
at it. I can't be afraid of the stank. So
Am I really gonna wager on the Chicago White Sox
on a Tuesday in August? Can I really swallow that?
Or do I go even deeper saying?
Speaker 2 (44:00):
You know what?
Speaker 3 (44:00):
You don't like any of those baseball games tonight? You
know football is around the corner. You're gonna fire off
a WNBA mat You're gonna watch on NBA TV as
the seven and twenty two Wings take on the eighteen
and eleven Las Vegas Aces with the Aces is a
nine and a half point favorite. No, I'm not No,
I'm not gonna do that to myself to watch Dallas
Wings NBA Action. Give me the White Sox tonight. You
(44:23):
just one fifteen. That's what I had at Orioles is
a road dog. I had White Sox baseball, and I
had a WNBA matchup with the teams seven wins.
Speaker 2 (44:33):
All right, I mean, listen, it's not great.
Speaker 3 (44:36):
I got did you hear what happened yesterday for my
Play of the day? Yeah, eighteen runs Levac.
Speaker 2 (44:42):
Yeah, I yah. I don't know what else to say
besides yeah, That's all I got for you today? Is
is me over and over against it. Yeah, you just
remember soon we get to pick football too, yes, and
maybe we don't always. Again, you don't always have to
do a play. You could do something. He gives them advining.
You know, you can always talk about something different you
(45:03):
don't because the best Sometimes the best bet is the
bet you didn't make. And that's one to grow on. Slugger,
A little slugger, you know what I'm saying. Like Uncle
Joey given advice, you can cut it out. Do you
bet every night?
Speaker 3 (45:19):
Do you want to college football play on a Tuesday
for a Saturday.
Speaker 2 (45:22):
You might need to, you might need an intervention.
Speaker 3 (45:24):
Just drop in that Florida Gator plus two and a
half fair place.
Speaker 2 (45:29):
I love that.
Speaker 3 (45:30):
That's such a great playing It probably will close the three.
Speaker 2 (45:35):
I wait till it's three. What are you doing? You
think they went out right? Yeah? I do, actually, but
I do. I don't know why. I just yawned into
the microphone like a completely unprofessional person. That happened.
Speaker 3 (45:50):
I do nothing, says exciting Miami Florida Gator action and wait,
yawning into the microphone, give me that white stop.
Speaker 2 (45:57):
I'm tired. Okay, A whole hour left of the show.
I make no promise. I may go take a nap.
I got my mouthpiece handy. I might just go take
a nap.
Speaker 3 (46:04):
I don't think I'm ever gonna shake anytime any human
being yawns. Frank kellyendo, that was yelling at me, and
I didn't yawn. I don't. I'm not a yawner, you know.
Excuse me of yawning during his impressions.
Speaker 2 (46:14):
Frank Kelly endo, we'll probably see him if we do
get to go to New Orleans, and I'm gonna remind
him right away that you're the one yawned while he
was talking. No, No, I'll do it right away, right
from the beginning.
Speaker 3 (46:23):
I gotta bust out my impression for him this year.
Speaker 2 (46:26):
What's your impression?
Speaker 3 (46:27):
You know, I'm working on it. I'm work shopping it
on the air. I think I got a good one. Now,
I got a couple of good ones. But my constipated
Tony Romo's pretty good. I don't know jam gonna do
how you did that.
Speaker 2 (46:38):
For him last year than one.
Speaker 8 (46:42):
Damn. No.
Speaker 3 (46:46):
I think I think he's gonna like it.
Speaker 2 (46:48):
No, he's gonna be like, can you use yawn again?
Can you anything.
Speaker 3 (46:58):
That's gonna be like perfect by the NFL kickoff. Yeah, whatever, game,
Nance and Romo we're on you, mark my words. That's
gonna be in a perfect impression for Caliendo by week one.
Speaker 2 (47:09):
You worry me, You worry me.
Speaker 3 (47:10):
Sometimes Noah can be too close to the mic. Calando's
gonna love it. You don't think he's gonna like that
impression you gave him Tyson last year?
Speaker 2 (47:25):
Yeah? Yeah, but I don't think any of my impressions
are good until somebody says something, what.
Speaker 3 (47:31):
About that one?
Speaker 2 (47:31):
Do you think that's good for me? I think it's
It's just I think you need more. You need to
roll into like more of it, like you mean, like
just going. I don't know if that's more grunting for
my I think he does it all right, I think
more words.
Speaker 3 (47:49):
All right, I'm gonna listen to some Romo tape. I'll
shine it up for a Week one. I'll be ready
when we're by the way, when we're live Week one

me a lot of money and all those things. And oh,

which is always a weird thing. So if you are
having issues, whether it be loud snoring, sleep, abna, no
