Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's Traveling Toys Studio that toys with a zeke. It

(00:08):
is let guys, we are here in Van Slicks. I
think it might it might just stout, you know, just
have something on hand ready to go. Maybe need to
celebrate at some point during the show. Today it is
the finaley of the C four Bankroll Challenge as we
as we prepare ourselves to see who's gonna win. Last
year for the horse racing section of this Cantarra won

(00:31):
it all from picks one O six. You sure did.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
And right now mister Cantara is in last place, has
not cashed a wager yet.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Did he send you today's wager? He did not. Oh
he's on vacation. Yeah, that that could be a thing.
Along with quinn Are, they're both neither of reached out.
Have you reached out to them? I know? Okay? And
they told you to go pee in your shoe. They said, don't.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Notification silence from goss.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Oh all right, that's the actually took the time to
write that back to you. Oh it's not disrespectful. They're
being It would be funny because I was last last year?
You were? Were you second or third year? So you're
gonna so you're you could stay in second, you could
continue your meter at mediocrity. I could go worse to first.
That's that's what's up. Then I would have two trophies

(01:14):
on my desk as early as tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
I'm very concerned about this today because I've got a
few wagers. I really like one in particular coming up
here within the next ninety minutes that I think can
put me over the top.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
However, if you've.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Been listening throughout our Thursdays throughout the summer, ar against
season finale for the summer here from Rivos Casinos, which
means just starting.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Oh sorry, so next next Sunday, we'll be here instead
of instead of next Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
That's right, Sunday, the seventh, the way back for our
NFL cover t we're looking forward to. But uh, Andrew
Champagne is shown us every Thursday because of scheduling, because
if things are busy with the Firebirds sometimes spoiler alert,
we've taped that interview. Andrew lives out in California. We
want to work with this schedule. There are rumors that
you are going to join the interview this week to
make sure you win.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
I'm in now, No I'm here. That's not why I'm
doing it. I'm doing it because the time has worked out.
Everything is good and uh and you know he's he's
a he's found out, he's a Michigan fan. And you know,
Matthew DeSantis, you know, hoes me with that wholecier leone.
So I'm you know, I'm, I'm I can be bought.
I can be bought over to the other side of

(02:17):
the rivalry today. If if I like what I hear
from mister Champagney, what.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
If I told you he also, is that going to
play a factor in this at all?

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Or no? If you're he's not the one who got me,
He's not the one who got me, the one who
got me? And again, because the thing is that when
you if you were listening to Friday Show at five o'clock,
Matthew DeSantis from NYRA beets, who is we love the guy.
He's great. His passion behind his play sounded like me
when I'm really fired up about an NFL play. So

(02:46):
I'm sitting there and I'm like, this is all right,
you got it, You're right. So fierceness was used in things,
but I didn't bet fierceness alone. So it's it's you know,
I know that. I tell you guys all the time.
Once you make a wager, that's your wager. If you
were like, oh, the vax said bet this, so I
bet it. Well that's your bet. Now that's not my bet,
but this one I blame the santas.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
So we'll see how that happened. Oh, Cantera, I'm sorry.
Canterra actually just texted me, Okay, he wants a seventh
horse in the seventh race.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Does he know what it is or is he just
falling out numbers.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
I thought his strategy would be to take a long
shot with his all wager, So that way he'd hope, like,
let's say he h's like a twenty to one shot
ten dollars gets to two hundred. You know, that would
be his strategy. But I had to just tell him
the seventh horse scratched. Oh no, I had a lot
of next time you joined them next week that might
be the theme of Cantara. I think that's the third
time he's like the horse that scratched.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Yeah, I would doubt it. I mean, I mean, they're
they're in the especially if he's on the case he's
probably sitting on a beach somewhere just chilling. He's like,
why are you texting me back? And then he's like, Oh,
just pick a horse already. I don't care it is.
It's a great day to be over here at River's
Casino Resort. We're inside Van Slecks. They got some drink
specials going on. We got the horses on. Uh. College

(04:02):
football gets gets gets spicy tonight. You can you can
make your wagers here.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
There's something you really like on the college football schedule.
I actually know what I think you like it. I
very much pressured you into this wager.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
It's not I don't know. I don't know what I'm
gonna bet yet. I mean, I know the one, like
I said, I just I think that there's a really
good reason to pay attention to Rutgers this year. So
I'll keep an eye on that all year. But the
other one, I know, you guys, everybody's everybody's just like, oh,
you're gonna you hate Deon Sanders. You're gonna fade Deon Sanders.

(04:36):
You know, want to hate more than Deon Sanders. Losing
your damn right there. Especially money. Losing money is the
worst thing to lose. So I'm gonna, you know, I'm
gonna I'm gonna live with it for a minute. I'm
gonna look it over and at some point I'm sure
I will make a pick on that play time. I
mean you you look at the games that are scheduled
for us, and it's I mean, it's heavyweight versus heavyweight,

(04:56):
it's power versus power. It's teams that most betting sites
don't have logos for against teams they do. It is
a weird, weird night of wagering. But there's some stuff
in there worth paying attention to. And I just and
some stinky lines, some stinky, stinky ones out there.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
One of my favorite parts about having fun into sportsbook,
having fun at Rivers Casino Resort is moments and games
like tonight Colorado, all the hype, all the preseason love
Deon Sanders. Two of the top five players in college
football this season, Shador Sanders' son and Travis Hunter. But
from what we've been reading, a ton of action on

(05:36):
Colorado tonight. But if you come and watch the game here,
have a bunch of TVs, grab wonderful seat, grab something.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
To drink, have some food.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
You might find five other people who are riding with
Colorado tonight you might find ten more people, fifteen more.
All of a sudden it turns into a Colorado home
game here in Schenectady, New York, when you start high
five and people who are tailing what you're riding with
making money with you. Yes, you can't be at the game,
but it feels like we've heard the eruption levac right

(06:05):
on a Saturday and a Sunday and tonight a Thursday.
When people start hitting what they want to hit, it
is a fun time. And especially if you're a sports fan,
you start finding some fellow sports fans with.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
You here in sconnecting.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
So hopefully the atmosphere is like that. And I believe
Colorado will get a lot of cheers tonight from Capitol
region sports fans on that game. I could be wrong,
but I feel like a lot of people are not
gonna be the way you're gonna go. And hear about Dionn,
hear about the best players, and say, let's ride with
the Buffaloes tonight.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Do you want me to tell you why you should
potentially go against you want to give you? Let me
give you a sharp take, real quick. And I'm not
saying this is what I'm doing, but I'm not saying
it's not what I'm doing. Why in the world are
they only a ten and a half point favorite to
North Dakota State. Isn't North Dakota isn't it. That's an
FCS school, isn't it. It is so so I've got

(06:53):
this big deal FBS school with the greatest motivator in
the history of college football, and this buff, the buf,
the buff the bu with his Louis Vuitton luggage and
his heisman favorite son slash quarterback, and they don't think
they can beat him by more than eleven. Now, mind you,
they open as a seven and a half point favorite.
It's been beat up to ten and a half. I

(07:14):
think you're kind of crazy if you don't look to
at least look into a little North Dakota State in
your life. They're really good.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
North Kota State has obviously pumped out a bunch of
pros recently, and not just pros, but pros who were starters.
The Buccketeers offensive linements from North Dakota State. We've seen
Carson Wentz and Trey Lance and others. This is in
that mixed for a game that people are gonna see.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Name versus name and go against it.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
You know this, And I'm not just doing this twenty
twenty four because you and I we were at a
wedding this time last year and we were watching Colorado
perform really well in some of those September games. I
never feel like I get a true line with Colorado.
That might sound a little confusing, it's not fair, but
exactly what I mean, Like, that team is so hard
to figure out. They beat TCU outright last season, they

(08:02):
get absolutely slaughtered by organ They should have beat Stanford and.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Blew that game.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
It is a very hard team to figure out. The
only thing I think they will play a massive factor
in how you might want to wait you this game
tonight is that first quarter at first, like ten minutes
of the game where you see upfront offense versus defensive lines.
Everyone's always gonna say fbs versus fcs. The difference is
the big fellas, the hog mollies. Colorado couldn't get anybody

(08:29):
to block. I believe the offensive line was this bartender,
this guy at the kios Nadia from promotions like that
was though she was very fierce. That was the offensive
line for Colorado.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
They hit the.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Portal, they got some four and five star players. We'll
see if the old line is actually gonna get somebody's
away tonight, because if they.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Don't, Genior Sanders is gonna be running for his life again,
which is okay with me. Helped me in perfectly, honest,
I don't know. I don't have a big issue with that.
All right. So here, here's here's the deal. We are here,
we're hanging out, we're having a blast. We'd love for
you to come join us betting the ponies today, but
we're also gonna get some of our college foosball bets
in Bobby Bouchet. It is just it's it's funny. It

(09:08):
feels if that's what this room is built for. And
I canta tell you. I know it's not like it's
not Vegas, right, but there's parts of the sportsbook here
I like better than the ones we were hanging out
out of Vegas. There weren't the weird messuses here, which
was nice. That freaked me out. Every time you're sitting there,
some lady comes up like would you like a massage?
And it's like, is it is this this thing? Like

(09:30):
what is this? What's going on here. I was so
creeped out by that. Yeah, I'm not a person. Usually
we're not stopped. They wouldn't. They wouldn't. They were like, no, no,
we're gonna help you. I'm like, I don't have any money,
le mean alone.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Usually you're the person says on there, you don't like
to be touched. I guess that's just by me now, yeah, realizing.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
Oh no, that's all people. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
I guess I'm in the same category too. I think
it's more because of my hair than you know. If
people start rubbing me and I feel like I'm getting
a rash somewhere and I don't want.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
To be touched by, Like you're just sitting there your
bat nelson, some some woman's rubbing your feet or whatever.
It's like in public. And I know some people are like,
why that sounds awesome. It's not. It's not my jam,
that's not that's not for me. This is for me.
You come in here, you you set up shop, you
get a couple of drinks, you relax, maybe go over
to Flip to grab a burger, you know whatever, and

(10:18):
you chill and you bet and you enjoy sports. That's
what this is about. That's why I like the vibe here.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
We don't need people yelling at support. Come on, Sanders,
throw the ball and you're throwing your arm and they're
trying to rub it, or you get somebody kicks some accident.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
I don't need that.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
This is normal, This is nice. You enjoy the crew
here at Rivers. Come by whatever game you want to
wager on, and there's so much to go, half fun with,
grab some food, looking forward to it.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
I'm messamarized by so all right. Colorado is a ten
and a half point favorite over North Dakota State. Grant
in North Kota State is a power of the of
the FCS level. Central Michigan is a thirty one point
thirty one and a half point favorite over Central Connecticut.

(11:00):
NC stayed over Western Carolina thirty two point five. Buffalo
is only three and a half point four favorite over Lafayette.
But that's Buffalo, that's not Colorado. With Sanders ucf over
New Hampshire thirty eight and a half points, ten and
a half points. For you, boy, something that's stinky, something
smells stinky?

Speaker 2 (11:20):
Do you have this is we're going deep here in
the opening segment. Do you have the updated linden Wood, Kansas.
That's right, the Kansas Jayhawk linden Wood.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Yea underbit.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Let me guess, Let me guess what I think the
oh gosh, I need I.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
Think I need to help if I know, just the
fact that you're trying to figure this out means I
think you should have to call one hundred gambler.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
Kansas is potentially an eight or nine win team in
the Big twelve. Linden Wood if they walked in here,
all the entire team until me, we I care nothing
about them. But I'm guessing because it's FBS like they're
probably a forty point favorite, like forty and a half,
maybe forty two and a half.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
They open at forty three and a half. It's been
bet up to forty nine and a half.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
Forty nine and a half. Yeah, oh my gosh. Okay, okay,
so you know what we're going with this. We are
playing the over in this game.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Okay. It So if they're a forty nine point favorite,
good gosh.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
If the Kansas football team is a forty nine point favorite,
this is one of my favorite games to play, The
Gods Classic.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
How are we gonna get there? Not that Dodd Okay,
So if you're gonna.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Win by forty nine points, more than forty nine points,
so that means let's say you're giving up fifty two.
So for you to cover, you gotta win fifty two
and nothing or Lynnwood's gonna score. So let's just give
them a touchdown. That means them a numbers gonna go
to fifty nine, so you are fifty two to seven. Nope,
Kansas doesn't cover. You need to be fifty nine to

(12:46):
seven for the Kansas cover, So that means that over
should be over sixty uh, Levac, I would put the
over in fifty nine and a half, is the way
I just worked that through my head. If it's over,
if it's like right around fifty nine and a half,
I'm taking the over tonight in Kansas. And what if
I walked my way through that correctly.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
It opened at fifty eight and a half. It is
bet to sixty two and a half over City. Let's go.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Maybe that's the only game I like tonight. Give you
the over in Lindenwood, Kansas. That's what I'm taking tonight.
A little early play of the day. We're rocking overs tonight.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
I like them.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
You know where I like my teams to resign. This
is gonna be a thing I'm gonna say all year long.
I've said it before to you. Maybe it's the first
time you're listening. There's one place you always want your
teams to resign. It's a place called Cover City. You
wanted to take up residents and Cover City. You don't
want them to leave. You want to stay right there
in Cover City. I am the mayor of Cover City
in my mind.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
Yeah, I was gonna say, in your mind, self elected mayor.
All right, just know that we are betting within our budget.
Gaza is the biggest Georgia Tech supporter. For weeks in
the offseason college football over to upset Florida State, and
I think he got three dollars.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
So hey, hey, hey you seven dollars.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Oh panties turned into some bloomers. Needs some room in there.
Huh wow. Seven. With how much you loved that game,
I would have thought you had at least fifty bucks
on it, you know what I mean. Like, I know
that's a big number. You'd never usually bet, but you
loved that game, loved it all year. You're like, this

(14:23):
is the game, this is the game. So I was
almost scared to bet it because of that. But I
can tell you that I made I made a lot
more than you did on your favorite play of the week. Man.
It's probably the only reason I didn't lose money in
week zero. Wow. There's a horse coming up called Hazardous
Humor and the next race at Saratoga is it. Has
there ever been a horse named more for me than

(14:43):
than that? With the rule of my household growing up
was if you're gonna be rude, you better be funny.
Hazardous Humor coming up. I can't I can't not throw
some some coiners on that now, one of my C
four Smartgie Bankroll Challenge bets. But it is gonna get
a little love through my NIRA bets acounty. Actually, no,
I got the machine right here. I'll do it in person.
It's kind of fun. I enjoy it. Coming up, we

(15:06):
we're gonna talk to the horse racing insider that that
you know. Listen, I can't go a week with I'll
talk to him. You know, I love this guy. I've
always said he is. He's got a special amount of
knowledge from the Pink Sheet and a lot more. Andrew
Champaign's about to join us. But you have to tell
us about Lillian David Fine Julius.

Speaker 2 (15:43):

It's probably not that long. But make sure you take
care of her. Whether it's the upgrade for the ear rings,
the necklist. Maybe she's looking to add something to her
style of her fashion. The family owned and operate a
business that Lillian David Fine Julius can help you find
what she's looking for. Even show her on the Facebook page. Hey,
here's some of the things that Lilli and David Fine jelers.

a good spot. Okay, college football all night you Fantasy girafts,
you start firing off some waigers. If you're hitting that
big parley or something else, use it on her, the wife,
the fiance, the girlfriend. I know from experience, my wedding band,
my anniversary gifts, and so Lext told me the push gift,
and you can have a better anniversary gift this time.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
You need to go back, just one you know would
be good again.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
February We're celebrated Lillian David Fine Jewelers. If you're trying
to change your anniversary now, they will also tell you
that's probably a dumb idea, but they'll help you find
the gift. In case you tried pulling that off right there,
the shops will and then they stop it and tell
them you're about Gaza, story Back and everybody else.

Go Blue, Blue, Hell the victors, Baby, That's what I'm
I mean, well, all right, so twofold actually threefold. I
think I want to fight the wise old owl who
shares the pink sheet with you. I don't know why
I have. I had this irrational just rivalry with a
creature that probably doesn't know I exist. Two, I love
that you and DeSantis are ready to throw hands over weather.

(21:30):
And three and most importantly, yeah, go blue man. We
got to stick together. It's Michigan against the world.

Speaker 17 (21:35):
Yeah, I mean we are. Let it be said, your
reigning defending undisputed national champions. God, how's your team doing, buddy?

Speaker 2 (21:45):
Uh, They're they're not that. Syracuse is prepping for a
big game with Ohio. I'll be there sixteen and oh baby,
I told you sixteen to oh guys, this is.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
The year, say to know what, what are they gonna be?
Sixteen and oh at football? No, Andrew like it's I
I apologize. That's all I can do is I can apologize.
The the Firebirds and the rest of my weird life
were in the way. But that's that's that's no excuse.
I apologize. I should have made more time for us

(22:15):
as a friend. And I think it's gonna rain tomorrow.

Speaker 17 (22:18):
No, I'm just saying bring it in, man, We'll be okay.
We will get through this. It may require some intensive
counseling and therapy, but we will get through this at
some point and we can just blame everything on Matthew
Disantas and done with it.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
After this week, I'm in. After this week, I'm in
because Andrew. You know, like sometimes you you you like
a horse, You just you start kind of keying in
on it, and then somebody is so confident in their
play that they actually win you over. And when Matthew
DeSantis went on about Sierra leone I in the Travers,
I was like, oh my god, I like fierceness, but

(22:54):
he sounds like me when I'm talking about NFL picks.
He won me over. I think I won no money
on the travers even though I like fiercess all.

Speaker 17 (23:01):
Long travers day was a rough day for yours, truly.
I ran second a lot. We were watching the broadcast
yesterday and by the way, shout out to the folks
over on the Fox Sports broadcasts of the NAIRA races.
They do a tremendous job. But they recapped all of
the races on Saturday, and I just went Iran second there,

(23:22):
Iran second there, iran second there, iron second there, And
I did drink the Sierra Leone kool aid a bit
in the Travers. I thought he was going to have
a picture perfect setup. He did get a picture perfect setup.
He actually behaved and just didn't have the punch that
he needed late. Credit to fierceness. I gotta tell you, guys,

(23:43):
really wish you would have gotten a mile and a
quarter on the first Saturday in May as opposed to
the next to last Saturday in August. Would have made
for a very good derby day for yours truly. But
say LEVI, there are no.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
Moral victories at horse racing. But if there ever is
a moral victory, the performance Torpedo Anna put on, although
not winning, feels like it's still gonna be legendary in
the history of the Travers Stakes. What did you take
away from her performance?

Speaker 17 (24:09):
Credit to Ken McPeak and the connections of Torpedo Anna
for taking a shot. They would have been one to
nine in the Alabama. They would have won the Alabama
by five or six lentths. We would have moved on.
They took a shot in the Travers. The horse ran
very very well and the Connections should be credited for that.

(24:30):
Torpedo Anna will move on. I guess they're targeting the
Cotillion at Parks on Pennsylvania Derby Day, and from there
a decision will be made on the Breeders Cup, whether
or not she goes to the Distaff or maybe goes
to the Classic. I'm not sure the Classic is the
wisest move, especially given the way Delmar tends to play.
If you've been following the Delmar races at all this summer,

(24:53):
it's basically you hit the front, you win. That's basically
been the way Delmar's main track has been playing. Hopefully
that changes between now on the first weekend in November,
so that handicapping actually requires some skill and not just
looking at the first quarter times of each races and
determining who's going to be in front. But still credit

(25:14):
to Therpedo and and the Connections. That horse ran a
very very very good second in the Travers Fierceness, though
just a little bit better on that day.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
It is our season finale, the Sea four Horse Racing Challenge,
thanks to our friends at Sea for Andrew champign you
know them from the Pink Sheet. Winners and winters you
know from Jacking Champagne podcast elevation ten thousand phone lines
hasn't joining us right now live from Rivers Casino and Resort.
I know we have a few more days left to
racing at Saratoga, and I know we're going to talk
about today's card, but I feel like we're almost at

(25:44):
this point where we can talk about the theme what
we're going to remember most about twenty twenty four Saratoga meet.
I know you mentioned this a little bit last week,
but it's worth repeating again. It feels like one of
these years that it's been incredibly difficult to handicap it.
A lot of times it's because those four to five,
three to five even favorites, they're just not hitting. Like

(26:05):
we know Sarah Tooga the nickname and everything else, but
this seems to be one of the more difficult seasons
to handicap races at the SPA.

Speaker 17 (26:13):
Part of that has to do with off the turf
races that are carted for distances like a mile or
a mile and a sixteenth. In past years, when Sarah
Tooga would take races off the turf like that, they
would go either seven furlongs or a mile in an eighth.
Main track only horses would draw in and they would
be much the best because they were entered in the

(26:34):
event the race came off the turf. Well. Now those
races are coming out of the Wilson Shoot, which is
an incredibly polarizing route that has shown it punishes horses
breaking towards the outside, and if you're a main track
only runner, that's where you start in races coming out
of the Wilson Shoot. I'm not saying it's impossible to

(26:57):
win from out there, but you've got to be about
a mile the best in order to save any sort
of ground going into the clubhouse turn from the shoot.
And I think that's part of the reason why we're
thinking okay, chalks have not been as effective this meat well.
Main track only horses and turf races are often favorites,

(27:17):
and if they wind up being compromised in the first
quarter mile by being unable to save ground, you're going
to wind up getting some pretty funky results. That's part
of it for sure. As mentioned, a lot of handicappers,
not just me, have been running second and third a
lot behind some pretty big prices, and hey, that's gonna

(27:38):
happen at Saratoga. When you have Barnes that point for
this meet Barnes that circle, certain races in the condition book.
Sometimes they wind up going, sometimes they don't. It's a
hard meat and as upset on this show. If you
can wind up averaging three winners a day for forty days,
you're gonna do better than most people. And that doesn't

(28:00):
sound like a fantastic clip, but it's a lot like baseball,
where if you go three for ten your entire career,
you've done really well.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
Andrew Champagne with us right now, Fox Sports Radio, ninety five,
nine to nine eighty. Al Right, so Andrew, the meat
is not over. I mean, it's so weird that you
do travers and then there's still, you know, a week
of racing left. But Gods and I are in a
competition against the fools down the hall. It picks one
oh six. I have led this thing from from start
to now. God says he's in striking distance. I need

(28:30):
to I need to push them away. Help me out here.
Turn off your headphone. Andrew Champagne cashed with us last week.
He's had some bad luck with us because of condition
changes in weather. Well, he's you. I came here to
help him win. I go blue.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
I cashed last week. You were not gonna take his
pick away from me to win this. You don't get
this show up for the group project and get an
A and trying to cash this. So I'm turning off
your headphones. He's not listening to Andrew Champagne. Let's get
your best play of the day in Levac. You're not
allowed to. We're gonna send you the bar. Okay, this
just you and I now, and people listen across Capitol region.
What are your plays for today that's going to help

(29:04):
me win this thing from a comfort behind effort.

Speaker 17 (29:08):
So that was actually one of the questions I was
going to ask, is if I was picking for both
of you or just Guz or whatever. So I appreciate
the fact that we have ironed that out before I've
given my plays for the day, So thank you very
much for that. So we're going to head to race
number eight actually, which houses my most likely winner of

(29:30):
the day and Gus. We're going to do a similar
strategy to what we did last week, where we extracted
some value out of a pretty heavy favorite. Last week
we keyed on a horse that was three to five.
The ten dollars bank roll turned that into between five
to two and three to one. It's not the sexiest
thing in the world, but the math checks out today.
My most likely winner is horse number one Chateau in

(29:54):
race number eight. So what we're going to do is
we're going to single that one in doubles that's art
and end in that race. We'll start in race number
seven with three dollars daily doubles that use number four
Vintage Vino and my second choice as my paper sticks
together horse number eight, Active Mutiny, So it's going to

(30:14):
be four and eight with one for three dollars, so
that's six dollars out of the bank roll. And in
race number eight we will single horse number one Chateau
in two dollars doubles that end in race number nine
with number one jaw Mode and number six Skyler's Starship,
So that's three dollar doubles. In the seventh, four and

(30:36):
eight with one and two dollars doubles starting in the
eighth one with one six. That's a total of four
daily doubles totaling ten dollars. We hit one of them,
we make some money. We hit them both. It winds
up being a pretty good day.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
This could be the thing that puts over the top.
Levacu are alive.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
Yeah, I heard the word value in the other room.
I got nerve you and de sad. It's gonna have
that battle again on Friday. Which speaking of, I know
I've been almost a constantly annoying Andrew shamp and he
mentioned he sees the Twin Bridges. He's in the capitol
region levec. You are hoping that we get a royal
rumble on Friday. I know Andrew's very busy, but you're
hoping for the royal.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
Rumble on I mean, these are two like these are
two of my favorite people to talk horses with. These
are two people who are very quick witted, and to
find out that you guys are on the absolute opposite
side of anything is hysterical to me. Please Andrew, please
come by. Gods will give you a C four, I'll
buy you a beer like whatever it takes. What is
it five o'clock? The Santas is gonna join us on Friday,
five o'clock.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
You schedule join us. I don't know if it's gonna
be those two. Is Brian Marianna gonna show up with
the steel chairs. The wise al we're gonna fly scares me.

Speaker 1 (31:39):
A little bit, Brian mary On, you're fine about.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
That, So we have an open seat for you on
Friday if the schedule allows, to watch you two battle
it out tag team style on the air.

Speaker 17 (31:48):
Hey listen, let's just say we'll operate under Joe Hendry rules.
Say my name and I appear.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
I love you so much. Make sure to check out
his stuff on social media.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Ad Andrew Champagne Winners and Winers, Drank and Champagne Podcast.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
We have appreciated you all season long doing this for us.
We really do.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
We will give you the Sea four tomorrow. We hope
to see you in person. Thank you so much for
doing this all season long with us.

Speaker 17 (32:15):
It's been my pleasure. I'll see you guys tomorrow. Go Blue.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
That's my guy. That's been my guy all year. And
how about how about hazardous humor paying me? And then
you you're almost out of the challenge now. While he
was talking, I saw a little piece of you die.
I was proud of you for keeping it professional. As
your six dollars worth of your of your bet is gone.

(32:42):
I wish I had done this for my bet. Now
that one the one horse in the last race. He
came in second, So I only got paid on place
and show I had a fifteen dollars right, so five
o'cross board brought me back thirty eight to seventy five. Ooh,
so now that wasn't in the challenge. I already bet
the challenge. I bet that while he was talking to
if you know so I walked away for one a month,
I do, and thank you for that beer.

Speaker 2 (33:02):
By the way, I appreciate that we you walked away
and feel that might have paid well for you.

Speaker 1 (33:06):
So, oh, this is weird. They look a lot like
what he predicted. Hmm, that's weird.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
I only have four dollars left house, so I've got
to do some interesting math to get to where I
want to go.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
I'm I'm I gotta figure out how you're gonna play this.
Oh I've got I've got ten dollars left to play.
Oh well, I mean I played it already, but uh,
let's just put it like this. If he's right about
that one horse, turn out the line, it's the party's over.
Let's put it like this. I would say nice place.

Speaker 2 (33:37):
Actually, if you're wagering on who's the heavy favorite doing
the Sea for Levac has now moved to a heavy favorite.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
I only have I lived.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
I would say the line is shifting with me taking
that l right there in that race, can't Tara basically
saying whatever can help me win will be my bet
and Race seven.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
I don't know if that's.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
A great strategy, but that's what he's and Quinn is
still yet to respond, which if the faith and hope
of this challenge is on the Quinn.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
The best chance we have to add ten more dollars
to the pot for being real. You know what, Quinn
just not betting. It's not bad for the kids because
Macawish needs some cash.

Speaker 18 (34:10):
Man.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
These wishes ain't cheap, you know.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
Thanks to for by the way, it's give some. We
have so many great things going on with Seaport, the
great flavors, the popsicle take, Oh like so good. I
add my uh creamsicle seam four this morning he ran
having a Seaport during that interview.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
I was, I was, It's funny. Have you you get
this a lot right where It's like anytime anyone sees
you with that thing, they like, I was coming out
of the gas station on the way in today I
stopped by Stewie's. I grabbed an Ultimate C four and
I'm walking out. Guy goes look that, and I'm like, first,

(34:44):
I'm like, I'm always like I'm standing next to a
truckle my name on it. I'm eight hundred pounds, like
I'm pretty easy to notice. But I always like, I
always feel really always feel special. When someone says, hey, wow,
you really do drink C four, I'm like, no, I
just carry the came around that was carrying around just
case guys like you see, that's what And he's like
and he looked at me like I'm just being a jerk.
You want me to buy you a C four for
being a jerk? And go no, but I might get

(35:05):
one now. I'm like, yeah you will. Yeh. So somebody's
gonna have a good afternoon.

Speaker 19 (35:09):
Man.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
That's all there is to it. But C four, it's
the beauty of it is. It's those those popsicle flavors
are amazing, the ultimates. I love the w W clap.
I think those ones are some of my favors. I
did the power Bomb one had to I had to
warm up to it, but I love that one now.
I think that's that's my jam when I need a
little extra boost, that little extra that ultimate boost. But
thanks to C four for making this happen. And you know,

(35:30):
I'm sure make a wish will write you a nice
letter to thank you after they get their donation. Uh,
C four, because I chose them this time, Would you.

Speaker 2 (35:37):
Choose I chose real men wear pink?

Speaker 1 (35:39):
Yeah, I think you should have to go fundraise for
real men wear pink. With the way you've handled yourself
in this, I think that's not a terrible idea. That's
really that's a that's actually not a terrible ada. We've
actually probably both should should do something to help.

Speaker 2 (35:52):
We've got some great charities. We're going to continue some
more up until the fall as well. It is not
over yet. Striking distance is getting further away.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
I can luckily you have super long arms. Unfortunately I'm
hiding in the one place you would never reach for
the bottom of your wallet. I'm safe. All I want
to thank you our good friends over at C four,
Like you said, and that's I just I'm excited. I'm
fired up. I came in last in this one, last year,
and I remember tell everybody in the beginning of this one,
don't bet anything. I bet I'm going to lose. I

(36:19):
think I've won like three races and that to it,
like like Andrew Champagne said, even though I wasn't allegedly listening.
Coming up. Can you imagine paying somebody three hundred and

We've got some wagers now in from Queen Canter. They're
both flying blakers. Yeah, there, let's go. H Quinn has
the one one four eight coming up and RaSE seven
a trifect a box open.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
He the what one trifecta though? Yeah, because I have
the I have the one three eight exact a box
in the next race, but not for the not for this,
but for me making money.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
He has one for eight and then canterrast plays. He's
just gonna put ten dollars on the horse.

Speaker 1 (42:19):
He thinking you can come back with. He didn't give
your name though, he.

Speaker 2 (42:22):
Just said dealer's choice. Guys, do me well, so that's
kind of how we're doing that one. If I think
the horse can help him win. I'm gonna fire off
a win bet on that. I think that's a fair
way to do it.

Speaker 1 (42:33):
You think that's fair? Huh? I got I got, I
got blasted for a show bet. But you're gonna make
his wagress for him? Okay, all right, sounds right.

Speaker 2 (42:41):
He asked for me to do that.

Speaker 1 (42:42):
Sounds right? Request that was right? No, no, hey man,
you know whatever I see how it is? Collusion is
what's going on now? It's a collusion.

Speaker 2 (42:49):
Can it be a collusion if he doesn't know what
he's colluding for?

Speaker 1 (42:51):
It's collusion because you two are working together to against me.
You're colluding, working together with mean as if he knew
what he was doing with this is way doesn't This
is ignorance, is no excuse, just like the NFL appears
to be colluding against Tom Brady. In my opinion, there's
something going on here. So all right, So for those

(43:12):
of you who don't know what's going on in the
life of Tommy Terrific. He he has inked a deal
that will actually start this year to be the broadcast man.
We don't even know chant chance, the big Fox on
the big One. All right, ten years, three hundred and
seventy five million dollars, so three thirty seven point five

(43:35):
mill a year for ten years to do these broadcasts. Well,
he's also waiting to find out if he is going
to be able to become a minority owner of the
Las Vegas Raiders. Well this is an interesting thing because
if you were a minority owner of a team and
you're doing broadcasts, well, now we got to take a
look at what you get to see, what you get
to hear. Brady is being subjected to the following. These

(44:03):
are called they call these the Brady rules. He's not
allowed to witness practice. So most broadcasters get to watch practice,
get a chance to you know, see here learn stuff
that they're gonna be able to put into their into
their broadcasts. So no practice for him. He's not allowed
to attend production meetings where the broadcast crew meets with

(44:25):
players and coaches, which is standard among announcers. He this
is at the league owners meeting. This is they present.
This is called the Brady broadcasting restrictions. He he is
not again, he not allowed to meet go to the
offices or practice fields. He's not in the production meetings,

(44:45):
and he's not allowed to publicly criticize game officials or
other clubs. So if he doesn't like a call of
f mix, he can't say anything about it. This can't
be real. What Oh my gosh, So I guess. I
guess Greg Olsen had some rules similar to this, but
he was because he was still he wasn't fully retired.

(45:07):
Once he retired, they lifted the rules, but barring not like,
you know, selling his stake in the team, these restrictions
are going to be in place, so's when he's there.
If a reugh makes a horrible call, he has to
be like, I don't know if that's the call I'd make,
or if a team is just horribly managed, he can't

(45:30):
say it because he's a team owner allegedly, even though
it's not one hundred percent in yet, the deal has done,
the money's spent, so he either has to sell his stake,
get that person approved to get in if he wants
to really do his job, or for the next ten years,
Fox hired a broadcaster for thirty seven point five million
a year that has at least one hand tied behind

(45:52):
his back, maybe both.

Speaker 2 (45:54):
Okay, a lot there, Let's start with this. Let's start
with the end part of it about Fox's investment in
tom Bray. It feels like I can't speak for our
big Fox executives, but their thought process is, we have
the opportunity to hire the greatest football player who has
ever lived to be under our umbrella. He is a
Fox employee. Now, ESPN didn't get him, CBS, NBC, Peacock, Amazon,

(46:15):
we're the ones who got Tom Brady. We want to
do a bidding war for that because we want to
have that bragging right. Plus, we think when people tune
into the broadcast, they want to hear what Tom Brady
has to say. It's hard to find people like that,
whether it's an athlete, someone who has an opinion, a commentator.
I believe those two things are very strong. But that
third part about it is tom Brady probably was going

(46:38):
to face criticism from the Andrew Marshans of the world
and the Ryan.

Speaker 1 (46:44):
Oh this beautiful sunny day is too beautiful and Sonny.

Speaker 2 (46:48):
We like John Meeterer Perrall, who's been a guest on
this show before, meets Tweets he is now he's co
hosting with Marshanna about sports media. Someone meets tweets, I
think are getting at a little high horn receive pretentious
about some of his stuff.

Speaker 1 (47:01):
But I bring all that up because people had criticized bratty.

Speaker 2 (47:04):
Oh he was good, he was just I don't truly
think Tom Brady cares. I think Tom Brady will put
effort into it, but he hit thirty seven million dollars.
Unless he has the mindset of he wants to be
the greatest sports broadcaster of all time, which Tom Brady
is a competitor. He wants to be the best at stuff.
That part's hard for me to read. But he has
an excuse built in. Now WHOA, and I can't, Like

(47:25):
you said, I can't criticize the refs. I can't do
I got one hand side behind my back, Mike cant.
They're not making me take a pay cut. I can
only do so much here.

Speaker 1 (47:33):
That deal is in place, and now Fox is the
one who employed Greg Olsen, so they knew there'd be
some restrictions obviously because because he's unless they had no
idea he was looking to buy a team when they well,
because remember this deal was put in place a while ago,
and then he finally retired and they were like, okay,
now the deal works, Like now it's a thing, and
he actually did Brady ever actually did retire right because

(47:55):
he couldn't even be a part owner if he if
he didn't retire.

Speaker 2 (47:58):
There was rumors about the Dolphins that you too, the
rumors they're gonna give him a part of ownership to
go to Miami. And then the Brian Flores thing went down.

Speaker 1 (48:05):
But if you're again, if I'm Fox, if I'm big Fox,
I paid you more than I paid anyone, and now
you can only do about half the job I thought
you could do.

Speaker 2 (48:17):
Let's go back to those first two points watching the game,
because Brady's calling it and having it via Fox employee,
do you think the two goals of when Fox hired
him are still hindered? If you think those are the
two goals, those are my two thoughts. Maybe you think, hey,
the Fox because yeah, ratings, I mean, and they want
to go viral what somebody says or people talk about
what he said.

Speaker 1 (48:37):
Well, it's it's Tom Brady, Like I think him just
being there is probably worth the majority of the money.
Not being able to overly criticize the referees or organizations. Okay, fine,
it's it's a little weird. I mean, I think there's
I think there's there's there's got to be somebody who
oversees that that goes. He said it was a bad call.
It's a bad call. That's okay. If he said that

(48:57):
referee sucks and should be fired, okay, that's there. Everybody
would get in trouble for that. I would think the
not being able to meet with teams, that's gonna be deaf.
That's gonna hurt things a little bit because there's you're
gonna have like Tony Romo, who can say, you know,
you want to do Jim, we met with so and so,
I don't know, well, we met with Jaydon Daniels. He said,

(49:24):
this is gonna be like Brady'll ever get to meet
with Jayden Daniels or any of those guys, any of them,
because it's tampering because he's an owner of the Raiders.

Speaker 2 (49:31):
And to add a little bit more to this, this
is a very inside media inside baseball, but this actually
is a very important part of it. So when you
watch a broadcast on the television side football inside football,
thank you. When you watch a television broadcast, that production meeting.
So when you're seeing the graphics and calling for plays
and talking about the offense, and sitting it up. I
think sometimes we as consumers forget how do they get
that replay so fast? How do they know what graphic

(49:52):
to circle? It's a split second, and we don't think
about it when we're watching it. That's because the number two,
the color commentator, the athlete, he is the one who
runs the production meeting. So the tradition is that, like
if Brady was to take on this role, which he is,
he's running the whole meeting. So he's like, okay, producer, uh,
we'll say producer Evan, we need this. So Brady can't

(50:14):
see what he's doing. It does affect the broadcast, like,
hey man, I don't even know what offense they're running.
We gotta have somebody else do this. So again, very
super inside stuff, But how can your broadcast be the
same when the guy who's setting up the broadcast can't
see what you're gonna see on the broadcast, right right?

Speaker 1 (50:30):
And you're the production team, You're trying to have a
meeting and you can't meet with your guy because you're
in the middle of doing the other things. So that's
it's it feels right, but it all right. I'm a
Raiders fan, how great would it be to have a
guy who goes a a Mark Mark Davis. Everybody, guys,
justin Jefferson is completely miserable in Minnesota. You guys, just
send the trade off or over. He's completely miserable. We

(50:53):
can get him probably cheap, you know what I mean, Like,
if you have somebody who can do that. Yeah, I
just talked to so and so says, in life, your
dream to play for the Raiders, like we should probably
we should probably make all we're gonna get this kind
free agent like like that kind of stuff. But he
can't do that. That's not fair. That's not no. I
mean I like it personally. I think it'll be great,
but it's it's definitely so I understand it. It's just Okain.

(51:14):
If I'm Fox, I'm ticked off right now. Like if
if I'm Fox, I'm looking at him and going, I
just want to be very very clear. If I feel
like this changes what we expected you to be when
we inked the three hundred and seventy five million dollars deal,
we might have to we might have to re meet,
we have to meet up again.

Speaker 2 (51:32):
I hope our big Fox bosses are like this. I'm
making a very broad brush stroke here with Big Fox,
but in comparison to the other networks, it seems like
they give them a lot more. Hmm, what's the right
way I want to phrase it's freedom.

Speaker 1 (51:49):
I guess I'll go with that.

Speaker 2 (51:50):
The pressure on them to be perfect on the broadcast
is not what Fox people want. They want personality, They
want to be a little edgy. They want people to
talk about the broadcast. Here's what I about it. I
think about base I gotta do the baseball comparison again. Jeter, Poppy,
a Rod, Pete Rose. Those are the names they had
a part of their baseball coverage. Are they the perfect broadcaster?
Doesn't miss no but their big name.

Speaker 1 (52:11):
Broadcaster and they say crazy things.

Speaker 2 (52:13):
And that's exactly like the reason Pete Rose is not
on the old he's not on more recent Major League
Baseball broadcast because he got in trouble off the field
with some weird stuff that came back forty years ago
and they pulled him off. Peter Rows was nuts on
those like, is Tom Brady gonna be Pete Rose on
the broadcast?

Speaker 1 (52:30):
No? But they're okay with Tom Brady being Tom Brady.
They signed him for a reason.

Speaker 2 (52:34):
So we've seen a lot of ESPN broadcasters like Shane
Betty is a great example of this man, Shane Bettier.

Speaker 1 (52:40):
We all thought he'd be great. He was not good.

Speaker 2 (52:42):
RG three showed off too much personality. Oh that was weird.
I think Dwayne Wade was great during the Olympic coverage.
So every network wants a different goal to be achieved.
I think Fox is gonna let him do everything he
wants besides this stuff. You know, like, hey, this really sucks.
I didn't want this to happen. But you're Tom Brady.
Here's the cars that have been down to you. Figure
it out, man.

Speaker 1 (53:02):
Yeah, I mean unless it doesn't work now, I think,
all right, all right, let's feel like that when you
did this, it's Fox. You did it for ratings, you
did it for attention. What if it doesn't last very
long because he can't he's he's gonna sit there with
his his mouth closed and his arm fold and just
just said, oh that was a great pass.

Speaker 2 (53:20):
That is someone in a producer agency marketing share that
has to say, because of the change we made, it
hurts our bottom line. That's hard to figure out for
an NFL broadcast. What data is gonna show that Brady
not be able to do those things is costing Fox
money ratings, I would guess. So I think it comes

(53:40):
down to ratings. Now, is that because if Brady's gonna
be on the Team one or Team two, maybe it's
two bad teams playing, maybe it's a bad matchup. There's
a lot of variables that can play to that. But
like you said, if Brady can't say anything and the
game's bad and he's not entertaining, Zoo.

Speaker 1 (53:56):
Down, goes the numbers down, going to the radios, or
does Fox to the NFL, which they can't do nop. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (54:03):
So no, yeah, not a lot of things out of
this one.

Speaker 1 (54:06):
If you end up wanting a pound of flesh, it's
gotta come from Brady. That's that's that's that's all you're
gonna be able to do, and and pend upon the
contract was written, it won't matter. But just I saw
the restrictions, I was like, damn, that's kinda like the
week of the Super Bowl is the closest we get
to being one of these guys, and it's production meetings
and this team is available, and that one's available, and

(54:26):
this guy's available for this is this one, and it's
like all you see are like the best of the
best are getting that FaceTime with players and coaches and
all those things, because they're gonna that's where they might
get that one little more so, that one little nugget
that that gives them something special that they can report
on Brady's act. We'll do it and even better than that,
what happens, it's Tom freaking Brady. If you're Josh Allen

(54:50):
and you know Tom Brady can't come to the meeting,
don't you just go to Tom Brady Because I would
love it if i'm if I'm a quarterback, I want
to talk to Tom Brady. Yes, what are you seeing? Hey?
How can you help me? Can I get some advice?

Speaker 2 (55:00):
Maybe I missed a big part of this, and I
think some people listening might have follow you should have
hit this longer. He's making the right decision being a broadcaster,
not the owner, right, Like.

Speaker 1 (55:08):
No, he's he doesn't pick right. Well, let me rephrase that.

Speaker 2 (55:12):
Derek Jeter early posts his career, decided to do the
Marlins role, to do the front office role. Yeah, they're
a Peyton Manning was potentially gonna be a part of
the Jets, part of the Colts, he decided to go broadcasting.
Jeter is now broadcasting. Kevin Garnett's been floating around as
an owner, but he's doing his own wild broadcast. And
I cannot believe Kevin Garnett can make it through a
broadcast without swearing. But there he is doing stuff for

(55:32):
Turner shocking right, Like he decided to go broadcasting before.
As you mentioned, he hasn't had to pick yet, but
someonel have said no, no, don't do the broadcasting. Think you
gotta whenever you want to start deal, run this through.

Speaker 1 (55:44):
See if you like this.

Speaker 2 (55:45):
I mean, I guess three hundred and seventy five million
dollars motivates a lot of people.

Speaker 1 (55:48):
So that's why let's be real too that most likely,
I think he's a minority. Says about somewhere the range
of ten percent of the Raiders or less. That money
probably came from the Fox money. You know, yeah, you real.
You may know he'll do one without the other. But
but I know, like the Raiders definitely want them involve.
He's a winner, he knows stuff. Mark Davis likes having around.
But it's it's very it's very intriguing. He's and there

(56:12):
still has to be an owner vote to prove him
as that minority owner. And maybe, maybe, just maybe this
is something that makes some of them say no, that
he's gonna that they don't want him having this access.

Speaker 2 (56:23):
There is some intrigue on the way for Tom Brady.
We've got the top four to four coming up, the
four biggest stories in the world of sports.

Now where they always go out of their way to

Speaker 2 (01:02:26):
In one of those rare instances where you and I
both a Koreana take, but still the take, we wonder
why isn't in happening? Now, let's say rare case where
you're right, let's talk about Jack del Rio.

Speaker 1 (01:02:37):
Both unit wondered.

Speaker 2 (01:02:38):
Why is he not a head coach in the NFL again?
Why did no one just try him out in college?
Jack del Rio a former coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars
the then Oakland Raiders. He is now back in college football.

Speaker 1 (01:02:51):
He was the first time coach at college.

Speaker 2 (01:02:53):
That's right, you're a college Wisconsin.

Speaker 1 (01:02:55):
He's going to join. He was with the.

Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
Commanders of the Decoordinator this past November, but he's joining
Wisconsin has a special assistant special advisor into Luke Fickle's
staff with the Badgers. You didn't figure this out, Lavac
and I both think Jack del Rio should still be
a coach.

Speaker 1 (01:03:12):
In the NFL.

Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
What do you make of him getting back now into
the college ranks rather than the NFL.

Speaker 1 (01:03:17):
These are the These are probably the jobs you'd rather have,
you know, a little bit less money, a little less faced.
But all you do is, you, you know, help a
guy through, let him take the play. Like if anything
goes wrong, Luke Fickle's getting you know, the finger pointed, uhm,
it's not gonna be Jack del Rio. Jack del Rio
caught heat everywhere he was. I mean, he shouldn't have
been let go by the Raiders. And and you know

(01:03:38):
that's why Khalil Mack wanted out. So here he is,
he gets a chance to you know, make some coin help. Wisconsin.
Good for him, it's probably a way better job.

Speaker 2 (01:03:48):
I hate doing this to coaches already. But let's say,
for instance, the thing doesn't work out for the Jets,
Robert salad.

Speaker 1 (01:03:56):
Spot, I mean Bilchi.

Speaker 2 (01:03:58):
Let's say the bills don't work out for Sean mcnaerriman.
Did they run the tires on Jack del Rial, Luke Bickel.
Let's say Wisconsin shocks the world's good in the Big ten.
His staff was about to be he was hoping it
was Fickle is the head coach. Del Rio is in
a special advisory and he wanted Mike Rabel. Imagine that
he just wanted all, you know what, here's my idea

(01:04:19):
to build a team. Can I just get all the
best coaches? So there's a combination here in New York Pians.
If things go poorly, there's a few names you might
want to start circulating and involvement who could take over
if things go bad for the Jensen Bills. I don't
think they're gonna go bad this season. I don't think
del Rio over a coach with Jo I also agree
with that. I think I think it's Windill's past sixty.

Speaker 1 (01:04:37):
One years old. Yeah, if I mean, if you're gonna go
for an older coach or retread quote unquote, it's gonna
be Belichick. It's gonna be you know, maybe Pete Carroll.
Carroll don think he's done at all. You know, it's
gonna be those guys. And then at Jack del Rio.
Let's move on a.

Speaker 2 (01:04:50):
Story number three, one of these where I wish I
was in the room when I found out this contract
negotiation was going on. The Golden State Warriors announce today
that they're MVP, NBA champion and Hall of Famer soon
to be and maybe the greatest shooter that's ever picked
up a basketball. Stephan Curry has agreed to a one year,
sixty two point six million dollar extension. The agreement keeps

(01:05:12):
him in Golden State as a member of the Warriors
through the two benty twenty seven season. And now he's
joined Lebron and Kevin Durant and it's the three players
at NBA history who have earned more than five hundred
million dollars in career earnings. I wondered about what it
was like with that, because Steph Curry's thirty six to
be quick, mat there, He's gonna get close to forty
when it's all said and done. The performance he had

(01:05:34):
for the Olympic team. Have you watched the show the
Throwback on Peacock.

Speaker 1 (01:05:39):
No, I don't watch as much TV as you do.
Apparently I watched I watch more movies, You watch more TV.
Here here's what happened with the throwback.

Speaker 2 (01:05:46):
Throwback aired right after Steph Curry hit those shots, So
we left Peacock on like.

Speaker 1 (01:05:51):
Oh, we'll be good.

Speaker 2 (01:05:52):
I was like, you know what I'm gonna give this
a run. By the third episode, the best friend from
high school was lying about a fake charity for kids.

Speaker 1 (01:05:59):
I like, who I'm out? I don't know. It's a
little too real, little too dark.

Speaker 2 (01:06:03):
This is like, this is not a kids show.

Speaker 1 (01:06:05):
It's it's supposed to be on Peacock.

Speaker 2 (01:06:06):
But what do you make of Steph Curry?

Speaker 1 (01:06:07):
Now?

Speaker 2 (01:06:08):
A sixty two million dollar stitches on?

Speaker 1 (01:06:12):
That's just amazing, Like, like if you think about just
one just one year, like, what's the most what's the
most you think you can get out of a one
year contract? Like if if I shot the moon all
three jobs, there's definitely not too commas. It's definitely not
I mean maybe maybe, No, No, I don't. I don't

(01:06:33):
think I could get this ex years. I don't think
I could this dude one year deal. And by the way,
that year not this year, not next year, not the
year after that, it's the year after that. So he
could literally just fall off the face of the earth
as a shooter and forget how to shoot a basketball
and you still owe him sixty two mil.

Speaker 2 (01:06:54):
In twenty twenty seven, On yesterday's show, we joked around
about like I kind of wanted to see how far
Mariano Rivera could go, like how long could he actually
go before he didn't feel like he could. You've noted
he said, Hey, I'm not the guy used to be.
It's time to call it a career. I don't want
to get shelled by some bum players who I could
have struck out five years earlier.

Speaker 1 (01:07:15):
But I would have liked to see it.

Speaker 2 (01:07:16):
We sort of get a glimpse of that in the NFL,
but it's kickers. Kickers be anam minitary played forever. Justin
Tucker might play forever. H hockey, Gordiau played for a
long time. Baseball. We saw we talked about Richil yesterday,
Nolan Ryan, Steph Curry could be in this discussion. I
wonder I was a specialized three point shooter was probably
more likely to happen in the early twenty tens. Now

(01:07:38):
you have to sort of play defense and get up
and down the court. It would be fun to see,
like how long could Steph Curry shoot like this three
point shootout competitions. Just come off the bench and me
a couple of quick frees. Steph Curry could be that player.
But it seems like when twenty twenty seven happens that.

Speaker 1 (01:07:54):
There's no way this person that is betting every track,
well he I heard him earlier.

Speaker 2 (01:07:58):
The person behind us said, that's the you have to
talk to the horse while you're watching.

Speaker 1 (01:08:01):
I heard him say that after a winner, and then yeah,
oh it is, Yeah, yeah, I'm not afraid to talk
to my horse, and then looked at me like I
had six heads when I held four. All right, I'm sorry, go.

Speaker 2 (01:08:15):
On, let's move on to story number two. It is
a packed day here at Rivers Cansino Resort. I say
that because of so many sports going on, whether it's
horse racing, whether it's baseball, which is also up here.
We got the New York Mets taking on the airs
on the Diamondbacks. Mets and Diamondbacks one nothing. The stories
they ended the thirty and the Mets on top of
the stinks. But other afternoon action includes the Marlins and

(01:08:36):
Rockies three two in the fourth, Padres and Cardinals two one,
and the six Rangers and White Sox two nothing.

Speaker 1 (01:08:41):
They decided to play the game.

Speaker 2 (01:08:43):
I'm going back to that one in a second, and
Giants Brewers right here on our west side television Milwaukee
on top.

Speaker 1 (01:08:50):
We'll do the Mets.

Speaker 2 (01:08:51):
Second, but first, did you see the picture that's going
viral involving yesterday's White Sox Rangers game. I remember it
was suspended after four pitches and oh yeah, I'm sorry, Yeah,
you and I said sorry.

Speaker 1 (01:09:04):
Way more people have seen it online though were in it.
I can tell you that.

Speaker 2 (01:09:07):
I will put actual money on the line right now.
You look around Rivers. More people right here in Rivers
than the sixty seven people they counted at the White
Sox game. Social media in the photos that were spreading.
That is all about Jerry Reinstorf. That is all about ownership.
We said, hey, Arelevan's gonna be really ticked off about
that move they pulled, about pulling the game after four pitches?
They were, And that's exactly what happened. The White Sox

(01:09:30):
did embarrassing performance. Think about this. This was supposed to
be a done deal this year. The Oakland Athletics were
supposed to be historically bad for everything that happened in Vegas,
for everything that was happening with the franchise. How terrible
Fisher is as an owner today. You might have done
this a few months ago. If you bet the over
on the Oakland A's win total this season. Congratulations, you're

(01:09:51):
cashing your wager today on August twenty nine. So the
A's are so much better in cashing over tickets. About
the White Sox did that, Let's complim it back to
the Men and Diamondbacks now. I want to find a
better storyline for the series. I want to tell you
that it's not the same old, same old of important
serious teams kind of find positioning. But nothing's changed. It's

(01:10:12):
been very even. I mean there's split series right now.
Right now with type game. I don't know if Mets
fans are more encouraged discords or indifferent about this match
with a Diamondback. It's not fun when.

Speaker 1 (01:10:23):
You say indifferent.

Speaker 2 (01:10:24):
But I'm still with the indifferent take right now, being
free of the series.

Speaker 1 (01:10:27):
I lost all faith after the postgame interview with Edwin
DZ yesterday. So he gives up that Grand Slam to
lose the game. He comes out and he sounds shook.
He's like, I couldn't locate my fastball. I couldn't do this.
I couldn't this. Like the guy who is who has
the potential to be the best closer in the game

(01:10:48):
right now is broken. He is mentally shook, and if
that dude can't shut down games for you, you ain't winning.
So I'm unless some amazing sports psychologists gets to hold
that dude or somebody figures out some way to get
him to like just throw the ball and not worry

(01:11:09):
about it, that's right in real trouble now.

Speaker 2 (01:11:12):
I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt on
that Grand Slam to Corbyn Carroll just because he's that good.
He's the best player on the Diamondbacks. He's fantastic. Diamondback
fans love him. He's the reason they went deep last season.
I guess you can't have it both ways in that spot, though,
because just because Cory Carroll is that good and hit
the Grand Slam, does it also necessarily mean Diz gets
a break.

Speaker 1 (01:11:30):
Well, if you comes out and comes down and goes
you know, I hung one, I'm like, okay, cool, Diz
came out and like literally told you like he's broken.
He's he mentally has the yips right now, Like he's
he's the dude he was before, he was the dominant
dude before he hurt himself. He's he's that guy, the

(01:11:50):
guy who can't figure out how throw to throw somebody.

Speaker 2 (01:11:52):
Out, I must be very nice Edwin dyes today and
maybe Mets fans saying.

Speaker 1 (01:11:55):
Being too soft on him.

Speaker 2 (01:11:56):
But I don't think the trumpet thing like over hypes.
It was that good, like I'm not gonna even bring that.

Speaker 1 (01:12:02):
Was all the I think the thing that broke him
was hurting himself celebrated. Yes, I think that was like
I think where maybe he thought, oh, you know, I'm
being too arrogant. I got I got dial it back
because you know, I got no problem with arrogance when
you can pitch away. That dude pitches and and the
trumpet thing was great. The trump trumpet thing was phenomenal.
We move on to story number one.

Speaker 2 (01:12:20):
It is officially kickoff of a week one of the
college football seasons tonight. If you're a college football fan
like I am, like levak Is, if you are looking
at spire offs and the wagers, I've said this, I
have never backed off this point. The best sport to
wager on his college football. So many games, so much fun,
so many different kickoffs. Whether you're firing off but in noon,
bet on a Saturday, or stayed up to chase Hawaii,

(01:12:42):
We've got tons of action tonight games of no conclude
Howard and Rutgers the twenty fourth ranked NC State Wolfpack
against Western Carolina. You've got uc after New Hampshire. New
Hampshire's pay you all, but Eve before Wake Forest Are
They're gonna sling it all over the place against North
Carolina A and T with the Marquet game. Tonight include
Minnesota and North Carolina on Big Fox at eight o'clock

(01:13:04):
and Colorado versus North Dakota State at eight o'clock as well.
Thevac College football is officially back. Cannot wait to watch
all the action across the country with Week one officially underway.

Speaker 1 (01:13:17):
It's exciting and it's just just enough good matchups tonight
to go with the good schools taking on the schools
that they should just should just dog walk like. It's
a good mixture. Some of these some of these point
spreads are there just to get you to bet the
favorite and you're wrong. There's a reason I'm going where

(01:13:39):
I'm going. I'll tell you about it coming up in
the Play of the day. But is a it's a
good start. It's a lot of fun tonight, a lot
of football to be watched. We're gonna be doing our
Fantasy Football draft last half hour of the show today
commercial free allegedly yes right here from Van Slick. So
while that's going on, I'll find fire off a few
college football bets too. I'm so fired up about this.

Speaker 2 (01:14:00):
I love that it's a mix between FCFS underdogs, it's
a mix between marquee teams that you know, because I'm
nitpicking here, but I think a lot of casual college
football fans are gonna enjoy this next point. The games
are going to be faster tonight week one Thursday Nights.

Speaker 1 (01:14:17):
Used to be known for.

Speaker 2 (01:14:19):
Wait was Ohio State Indiana four and a half hours?

Speaker 1 (01:14:22):
Wait?

Speaker 2 (01:14:22):
Why are they still stopping the clock after first downs?
That rule is gone. There's a two minute warning in
college football. The game will be faster. If you're a
casual college football fan. And I still look at that
match of Colorado. If you are somebody who comes in
and out of college football tonight, that's the game you
should watch because of the stars on the field, and
should door Sanders one of the best quarterbacks in the country,
Travis Hunter, maybe the best player.

Speaker 1 (01:14:43):
In the country. You're a nerd and you can root
against it like Levett. You're a nerd. You just love him,
he just love you some Deon Sanders, you little sheep?
How dare you? I can't wait. I can't wait for
North Dakota State to pull an app state on them. Oh,
it would be outright money. I might have to toy
with that. I don't know if it's big enough to
toy with it. But because what's ten.

Speaker 2 (01:15:05):
What's I've been sitting around four hundred I've been it's
a plus four sixty plus.

Speaker 1 (01:15:09):
Four twenty for ten bucks on that.

Speaker 2 (01:15:11):
I mean, come on, if you like to spread I
learned my lesson for not sprinkling the money line on
Georgia Tech.

Speaker 1 (01:15:15):
I liked the app that I'm logged into, like I'm
gonna walk over to the machines when I when I
do everything. But the best way to do this stuff
is to look at your app. It's just like like, hey,
reality check, you've been logged in for a while. I haven't.
It has been on, okay, don't jump in the background.
Don't tell me how to live by the way, one
hundred gambler. If you need hell, please don't don't delay

(01:15:36):
make that to make that call if you need it,
all right, where's where's Colorado. I want to see what
what it is for the plus three thirty minus four
thirty to one hour, right, I'd be a little higher.
No thanks, Oh thanks, I'll take the spread. Let's get
after it. Just start the winning, just like all I
want is win. That's all I want is to keep winning.
All right, there's your top four and four thanks to

We are live here at Van Slick's Side Rimbers Casino
ed Resort. I just love that football as I'll look back, man,
I mean, I know, like listen, let me let me
say all the things I'm supposed to say you. Week
zero was last week. I, as the president of the
Albany Firebirds, will tell you that football is three sixty five.
We hadn't worked to deal out to bet on football yet.
But this is like to be here at Rivers and

(01:22:23):
you gotta be responsible. I don't want to get in trouble.
I don't want to say the wrong thing. I do
envy big cats sometimes where you can just go off
and talk about betting every single game with the college schedule.
Do you need to go bet? No? No, no, I
got my tickets. Confused. We're good, all right? Do you
want to know my place? All right? So we're gonna
get into some more football talk, but real quick, because
we are here for the C four Smart Energy Bankroll Challenge,

(01:22:45):
which I am leading. I have after my ten dollars
of bets, I have ninety five dollars and five cents.
How much you have? I have not that.

Speaker 2 (01:22:55):
I have a pick three going. So everybody this is
one part about this. Every single person now is in action.
For RaSE seven, Cantara took the longer shot on the
board because he knows he can't win without taking the
longest shot on the board, so he took a longer
shot on the board. He put ten dollars on the
three horse who's right now at fourteen new one, because
that's the only way he can win quick.

Speaker 1 (01:23:12):
I did a double, a three dollars double. I don't
know what made me stinking. I don't think I've ever
done what are you? I did the four and the
eight in this race, with the one in race eight,
and then in the in race eight, I did a
one dollar double one over the two four eight ten.
So a little different than what you're trying to accuse

(01:23:32):
me of with your eyes right now. Yes, but raise seven, uh,
I will say this. I was for anybody who just
tuned in. Andrew Champagne has been Godz's boy all year,
so today I actually it all worked out timing wise
where we were able to all be on the phone.
Gods thought he made it so I couldn't hear what's
going on. Well, Gods didn't know is I had my ear,
my ear my airpot is. So I heard it and

(01:23:55):
I literally I looked over I looked over a Nadia
and I go listen, I'm leading, right, I think God
is gonna bet whatever Champagne says. So what I'm thinking
is is it wrong if I just bet it and
that guarantees me the win because you can't surpass me
if we have the same bets. She's like, no, that
you want to win, right, I'm like, this is why
I like you. That's why, this is why you're this

(01:24:16):
why you're my friend. So I went over and bet
pretty much. But one of the horses had scratched already,
right like right when he said it, Like I watched
the red line go through it while he said the name.
So I did his bets.

Speaker 2 (01:24:28):
Yeah you did, and I was one step ahead, I think,
because I.

Speaker 1 (01:24:32):
Made it if you lost that trifecta already.

Speaker 2 (01:24:34):
Yeah, And I had to pick three instead of the
daily double, just hoping that maybe it'll pay more although
very similar horses. And I just added the six to
race race nine, so I don't know if that's gonna
be any better, but I had a feeling I might
be in trouble. But Champagne cashed that ticket both of
those last week. That might We're all gonna find out
here very soon.

Speaker 1 (01:24:55):
Two. Here's what also could happen. But you're so mad
that I did it in your voice.

Speaker 2 (01:25:00):
All three of us could lose here win by default.
So we're about five minutes won.

Speaker 1 (01:25:07):
More throughout the season. Yeah, which is you know, which
is important to remember that I've won throughout the season.
You know, I've led this thing. I was last place
last year, so you have to understand why I'm I'm
pretty pumped up for this one. I would love I
would love to win the Sea Force Margie Bankrell Challenge
coming off of winning the NFL one, and then the

(01:25:29):
Ultimate Bankroll four Ultimate Bankroll Challenge starts, and I'm gonna
win that one too. That's that's what That's what I'm
hoping for. That's that's and that's that's a Jeff. You
guys don't want to hear from. That's a Jeff was
very loud, obnoxious. That's that's the Livac who's gonna run
his ever love and mouth and it's gonna be great
for him.

Speaker 2 (01:25:48):
We've got less than five minutes before that goes up.
Have you heard the Nasty, dirty New York Jet rumors today.

Speaker 1 (01:25:54):
Please please share, said nasty Jet rumors.

Speaker 2 (01:25:58):
Jet fan don't yell at us yet. We know where
they're kill the messenger. We know that where the report
is coming from. And there is now a new rivalry
between Jet fans and the Athletic. This is like the
third or fourth story that keeps coming from the Athletic.
That means something in a second. But the Athletic today
is reporting that they've conducted a survey of NFL agents
for their thoughts on happenings around the NFL. Three of

(01:26:21):
the thirty one agents called the Jets the most unstable
franchise in the NFL. One NFL agent said this quote, Jets,
there's a complete disarray over there. Look at how they've
handled Aaron Rodgers. Has one player had that much power
than him ever skipped Mini camp. They've been unable to
convert him into a team player. The vibe inside the

(01:26:41):
building is terrible, said the anonymous NFL agent. Now again,
the Athletic is also the team that had the weird
Robert Salazek Wilson's story from last year. They also had
another story about Aaron Rodgers. So now even media members
are mocking the Athletic that an anonymous source blasted the
Jets for a system that uses a paywall to get people.

(01:27:03):
Are you team Jets? Are you team Athletic? Or I
want to throw this theory out here. Did they call
hassansa reddick?

Speaker 1 (01:27:10):
Agents? You know, like, hey, uh, what do you guys
think about the Jets right now?

Speaker 2 (01:27:14):
What do you make of the story in the rumor
in innuendo revolving around Gang Green in this report.

Speaker 1 (01:27:19):
I don't know why, but I feel very connected to
the Jets lately. I feel very in touch with them.
I feel like they I feel like we have a
lot in commic. Let's do it. Let's do it right now.
You do set me up?

Speaker 2 (01:27:29):
It is that officially up on Fox Sports nine eighty
dot com. I emailed the Great Ken Shot, Who's still
confused me by his response, What is the Weber this
upcoming season, the twenty twenty four season. Your home for
New York Jets football is Fox Sport.

Speaker 1 (01:27:44):
Let's go take that Gang Green. We're here for you.
We got you. So in the same building you get
Giants and Jets. Our sister station Picks has a Giants,
Our sister station WGY has the Syracuse rigs football. That's right.
And then we have the Jets, so we are taking
over football play by play as soon as I can
convince it too. So where he belongs, we will have more.

(01:28:06):
That's so I'm team Jets on a lot of this stuff,
Like I I really think, I think the Athletic does
a good job on a lot of things, but the
paywall definitely cheapens the way I feel about a lot
of their reporting. I'm I'm with the Jets, and and
I like that the Jets are being saucy and fighting
back and trying to keep their stuff under control and

(01:28:26):
doing the right thing by the fan base. So team
Jets on both of these, and I think it's on Reddick, dude,
get off your butt, like go play football, because if
you don't play enough, you're just gonna be under contract
again next year with a whole new a year older.

Speaker 2 (01:28:41):
That's the problem here with the Athletic. Like rarely what
I ever say like, hey this this media outlets being
unfair to this team. This is unfair you're picking up
like that is very much a fan base thing. I
think Barstool used to actually unite fans with this. Remember
the Patriots fans and Barstool went at Bob Kravitz, who
I believe was the reporter from the flake Gate. That

(01:29:03):
guy's careers never been the same. The Yankee fans remember
Selena Roberts. Selena Roberts was the one who went in
the back page of Sports Illustrated and called out A
Rod for taking steroids. A Rod's career in life has.

Speaker 1 (01:29:14):
Never been the same.

Speaker 2 (01:29:15):
And again find out the Selena Roberts story about her
finding semi buried treasure from her mom who it's a
whacked out story, but a lot of these people's media
careers have been altered because of what they found out.
I'm also team Jets, like.

Speaker 1 (01:29:30):
What are you doing?

Speaker 2 (01:29:32):
You're calling anonymous NFL agents. First of all, agents in
their own right have a bias to teams. They are
trying their best for their clients to get the best
possible thing going forward. So they look at the Jets,
They're like, well, they had a contract situation with the
son Wreck that didn't work out. In the past, they
had Darel Reeves Rogers is doing what he's doing. It
could be a rival GM. And if you're like, let's

(01:29:53):
say the Tommy Corporate and far hired. Let's say you're
the big boss of the athletic and someone sat down
and said, hey.

Speaker 1 (01:30:00):
This yeah, too much, too much media. Listen. I'm very
anti media. I hate radio people. They're the worst sitting
around watching horse racing when they're supposed to be working.
Uh in college football insiders.

Speaker 2 (01:30:14):
I just feel like with the Jets on this, like
if you want to ban against the athletic and say
they're taking cheap shots, that's not a favorite report, that's
all that. I'm with the athletic lack of caring about that.
I'm sure that's their take, but this seems like a
cheap shot by the athletic and completely unnecessary to take
a shot at the Jets. And the timing of this

(01:30:34):
one week away from kickoff and I know the Jets
kickoff on a Monday night, but yeah, I don't.

Speaker 1 (01:30:39):
Think the Jets.

Speaker 2 (01:30:40):
It's almost like the Jets they wanted drama, you know,
like no, no, it's coming.

Speaker 1 (01:30:44):
Well, they can't avoid it. They cannot avoid it. Like
like we've talked about as a handful of times. You know,
Robert sala he never says the thing that shuts down
the press. He always says the thing that lights, a
fire underneath the you know rocket fuel that the that
the press is already spraying around the room. You signed
Aaron Rodgers, you went and got him, and you you

(01:31:06):
you traded for him and you kept him and everything
all these six everything the Jets do would be like
if if you had some of the great like press
people in a room and you said, how do I
stay out of the news, they would point to the
Jets and say, zig where they's act? Because they did
everything to get attention, and not necessarily the best attention.

(01:31:27):
But you know this in this case, the that'ssun ritting thing. Like, dude,
you're you got a contract man. Either either get out
there and play or don't. But you're probably leaving yourself
in a position where you're gonna have to be another
year under there, under their control, and it won't matter.
You know, you won't be able to do anything about it.
Here comes out four, it's not gonna make it.

Speaker 2 (01:31:46):
Here comes the one as well, and I think that's
gonna is that gonna be a one. Okay, so we've
got a few people are staying alive.

Speaker 1 (01:31:53):
Here can Tara.

Speaker 2 (01:31:55):
Is officially out by I believe Wait, that's what one four.
Wait a second, and that eight come in there for Quinn.
I think that's a one four five finish, So I
believe Quinn is gonna be out. But we're gonna check
that again. Quinn had one four eight in the top
two finishers were one in four. Maybe Quinn hit that
trifecta there, No, that was the nine quick.

Speaker 1 (01:32:18):
The four got moving a little too late on that one.
Unless we get where's one of those hail Mary Goz
inquiries that we've been getting all year, Like all year,
Godz gets an inquiry like on something like this. If
it was if this was guys, it'd be like, oh,
the one bumps somebody moving back and like the inquiry
wud be up there we have to we'd have a chance.
But no, I want one, and no, no, I don't
get nothing. I stayed like to vote beats vintage Veno.

Speaker 2 (01:32:41):
I stay alive for now. In the pick three, you win,
you had I had one eight in that one. For
my pick three I had four eight, one eight.

Speaker 1 (01:32:51):
The one in the next race. So I'm almost rooting
against the one. Yes, I'm almost rooting against it.

Speaker 2 (01:32:56):
And then we couldn't for the what third consecutive year,
second consecutive come down to the final race before the draft.
So we've got some dramas still alive if it goes.

Speaker 1 (01:33:04):
So, if the one were to win the next race,
you did you be alive in your pick three? Correct?
Who do you have in your third race of your pick?
I have the six. I believe you have the four
to ten. I have the two, four, eight, and ten. Yeah,
so you know what, that's what we need. We need
the One to win the next race and then that final,
the ninth race decides the whole thing and we go
from there. I win it. Two trophies on my desk.

(01:33:26):
They called me Jeffy two trophies, so they're gonna start
calling me, say what they want to get near my desk.
I was just I just want to point out I
came in last in this challenge last year. Can Tara
won it. Canterrra is contributing exactly zero dollars to the
winning charity. This year, we're given ten dollars a week
to wager with if you he has not won a

(01:33:48):
single bet all all seasons. Uh, it was a.

Speaker 2 (01:33:51):
Rough go for him, but yeah, but I know how
this whole thing goes. There's a chance he's gonna come
out of the gates strong for the NFL one or
he's gonna stand the tank.

Speaker 1 (01:33:58):
Hold hold on, hold on the bottom line is he was first,
now he's worst. Yeah, that's by the way, the worst.
Quinn is third to third to third to best. He
stayed where he was. Yeah, you are second. You're gonna
stay where you are. But I'm gonna go worse to first.
I'm winning this thing thanks to our friends at C four,
thanks to our friends. Award by Walsh. I'm gonna have

(01:34:18):
another cool trophy at my desk. I'm gonna I'm gonna
call it Awards by Walsh Land Soon. That's gonna be
my desk, just trophies everywhere for all the greatness that
is me. That is I just that's all I want.
That's all the only problem I have is when big
Alt goes back to Wards by Walsh, can we open
the football trophy so I can drink out of it?
That's all I want. That's because the top they knew

(01:34:41):
it was me, and they like solder to the top on.
I think they're like, we don't even back walking around
drinking out an Awards by Walls trophy. Oh like a
like a Stanley. See big Alcus, thing's done. That's what
happens because he's like, you turn it into a giant
winning Stanley. That's what you do right there? All right,
I'm ready, I'm ready.

Speaker 2 (01:34:58):
Guy's pitching those ideas next to the salesman to Chris,
like these are great ideas.

I thought you meant in the pick three how much
money you have?

Speaker 1 (01:39:36):
In the pick three?

Speaker 2 (01:39:37):
I have currently this time, drum roll sixty eight dollars
and sixty cents.

Speaker 1 (01:39:41):
That's as after your bat. Yes, you were, you're within
twenty seven dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:39:44):
I make no forty forty you have one hundred and
nine dollars and so no, I was down after my dad.

Speaker 1 (01:39:49):
I was down. I was down in ninety five. Oh
I didn't update the she Yeah, did you update yours? Yeah,
you're alliance. I did, I really did. I don't believe you.
You're cheating. You're cheating, My gosh, why are you cheating
for charity?

Speaker 2 (01:40:03):
You got ninety five dollars and seventy.

Speaker 1 (01:40:05):
Five ninety five dollars and five cents. Wow, Okay, I
think you're cheating because I had one hundred and eight
and you were way behind me.

Speaker 2 (01:40:10):
I had wait, wait, wait, I had more money for you.
If anything, I was helping you there.

Speaker 1 (01:40:15):
Yeah, but you But I don't think you took your

(01:40:40):
you guessed it. I am I'm fading. I'm fading. Colorado today.
You're right, I didn't take my number on. I knew it. Cheater.

Speaker 2 (01:40:48):
You hit wonder years in mind, We're an update cheater.

Speaker 1 (01:40:51):
Cheater.

Speaker 2 (01:40:52):
That's okay. So I'm thirty six dollars back. Okay, I'm
not sure if that made it differently I.

Speaker 1 (01:40:58):
Did ten dollars. It did it made it made it
made a big difference. All right, go ahead, So I'm
gonna the line makes no sense to the stanky line.
I am going to go ahead. I'm gonna take North
Dakota State plus ten and a half points tonight against Colorado.
I I mean, there's a there's a chance that that
the better, bigger. You know, FBS athletes go out there

(01:41:21):
and just run all over North Dakota State. But North
Dakota State is a running team. They I think they
averaged seven yards of carry last year from scrimmage. They
they're they're built like that Appalachian State team that outright
beat Michigan. I could see them making this a dogfight
or a buffalo fight, if you will, all the way
down to the end. I'm gonna take North Dakota State,

(01:41:41):
and then I have one other I like, I'm going
with New Jersey I'm going with Rutgers. Man, it's it's
up to thirty eight. I was able to clock in
at thirty six and a half points. But the bottom
line is when you've got Greg Ciano as your head coach,
you have an advantage. So Shiano was asked, I guess
kirkharb Street said, quote, you know this is a team

(01:42:04):
that this is the dark horse to make the twelve
the twelve team playoffs, Shiano said, we don't listen to
that stuff. I take care of that rather quickly. Praise
is fine, but it's like poison. If you leave it
on the table, it's going to hurt you if you
drink it. Watch out. These guys are not drinking it

(01:42:26):
because they know how hard it is to go seven
and six. This ain't a team that's gonna lead points
on the table. Kids, You you get on when Howard
gets on the field with Rutgers, they better strap their
chin straps on. Ready.

Speaker 2 (01:42:44):
Yes, he stole that from Nick Saban. Nick Saban, that
was like when they coached together. That there you go,
Nick Saban. That is one of his famous quotes.

Speaker 1 (01:42:51):
He used to call it.

Speaker 2 (01:42:52):
The only difference is he called it rat poison like
the famous Nick Saban quote about rat poison about outside hype,
and I think it went viral a few years ago.
I believe that quote was the one where Joey Molinaro,
who's now the famous you know impressionists.

Speaker 1 (01:43:05):
They'll want to be.

Speaker 2 (01:43:06):
You're not a big fan of Joey, like I was
trying to get it on the show two weeks ago,
and try help me back.

Speaker 1 (01:43:11):
But yeah, he's listen, I'd be a bigger fan of
him if he wasn't such a big fan of himself.

Speaker 2 (01:43:15):
He Gosh, that Barsceolnian was awkward, wasn't it good?

Speaker 8 (01:43:20):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:43:21):
What for Rutgers? You like Rutgers to that against Howard?
I do?

Speaker 2 (01:43:26):
There are gonna be some people who play Rutgers to
play that Big Ten College Football playoff ticket, which would
be a wild payoff. Look at Rutgers' schedule and get
used to those Look at the schedule. Talk As we
talk more and more about preseasons and previews and everything else,
here is their matchups in the Big Ten. Remember Big
Ten conference record will decide. That's really important, especially with

(01:43:46):
these non conference games in September, they're in conference opponents.
I'm not getting the swimmers one wrong. Washington, Washington's in
the Big Ten. Got myself there, Washington, Nebraska, Wisconsin, UCLA,
USC Minnesota, Maryland, Illinois, Michigan State. You know what didn't
say Michigan. You know what didn't say Ohio State, didn't

(01:44:09):
say Penn State, didn't say Oregon. Can they go six
and two? Seven and one? How far can they? Can
they go eight and two? There's a lot of conference
games on there, like there's a possibility. You look at
Rutgers and say, why can't they finish with one of
the best records. The only thing that makes me pause
about Rutgers is you mentioned Shianna.

Speaker 1 (01:44:29):
Hucket of a coach.

Speaker 2 (01:44:29):
He's been to take the program to the next level.
We know how competitive the Big Ten can be. There
is one glaring weakness they say of hot Rutgers defense
is there. It's in New Jersey. They're quarterback's awful. That's
not good, Like, can't you find some other kid to
play quarterback? Can't she out an offer up an nil
to somebody?

Speaker 1 (01:44:48):
So Rutgers, we're gonna find out tonight.

Speaker 2 (01:44:50):
If that Tommy comes out right, don Bosco Prapp, he's
a New Jersey kid. I think they're gonna kill Howard
tonight too. I think you're gonna destroy this team. But
if that quarterback is not playing well in the first half,
there's a chance they're gonna bench it. There's a chance
Shadow is gonna be like, Nope, who's else, Nope, let's
put somebody else in there. We're not messing around. The
expectation for Shiana for all those teams are so high.

(01:45:12):
I know that as a Buccaneer fan is diving at
knees and acting like a whack job, and Shiano, I
would not want to hang out with Greg Ciana.

Speaker 1 (01:45:18):
I think the defense outscores Howard. The team together, it
will cover. So that's where I'm at. Those are my
two plays tonight that I really like, I'm gonna take tonight.

Speaker 2 (01:45:30):
I'm saying this in public, Huh, I'm gonna say tonight,
I'm taking the linden Wood Kansas over. I went through
the math on this earlier in the show. I was
playing guest the line one of my favorite games because
I thought that line was gonna sit closer to sixty.
Now it's sitting at sixty two and a half. I'm
still gonna fire it off. Kansas is a forty nine
point favorite. How we getting there? I believe Kansas can

(01:45:53):
hit that over with Lindenwood that they just get in
the end zone. That's an eight o'clock kickoff tonight. So
give me a linden Wood can this over? I feel
like I can't just play that though. I gotta get
I gotta get another game that has real teams and gosh,
I couldn't even I gotta get another one.

Speaker 1 (01:46:10):
I can't one. I mean, it is a play, dude,
that it's I'm not not gonna looking at it. I
just my only question is ken Lyn who would score?
Like Like, that's that's the question. I guess I've ever
heard of them.

Speaker 2 (01:46:26):
Gosh, that's the only one I like. That's the that's
the that's your play. I'm trying to talk about your
whole two.

Speaker 1 (01:46:32):
Dollars and twelve cents on that game. There's a five
dollar minimum bat here, but at Rivers Casino and Resorts,
you got about at least five bucks on that.

Speaker 2 (01:46:41):
Okay, I'm trying to talk myself in a coastal Carolina
Jacksonville state, but I think I should.

Speaker 1 (01:46:45):
What do you well, what do you like about that one?

Speaker 2 (01:46:47):
I like that it's actually more of a rifleer game
than people realize that the reporter is there. This is
where I really I'm going too deep that Tigan Brown,
who is the local TV sports reporter for Myrtle Beach,
South Carolina, is getting booed when she walks into places
because Jacksonville State fans actually care about Coastal Carolina. Like
that's a rivalry game for some fans. So if you

(01:47:08):
give me rivalry in three and a half at home
against a coastal team, that was the COVID team, Like
if you wagered on the Chanta Clears during COVID, that
was your bank roll for a while.

Speaker 1 (01:47:17):
I think they had a streak where they covered in tenor.
I was tempted. I was tempted to do something with
them today just but it's like I just know them.
It's not like I it's not like I know, I
know what they're up to. I know they exist.

Speaker 2 (01:47:26):
I would prefer another over in that game than the spread, though,
I guess I'm gonna fire off a second bet it'd
be over in Coastal Carolina, Jacksonville.

Speaker 1 (01:47:35):
So how are you doing it? Are you going? I
think by the time the show raps, I'm gonna fire
off two overs. Well, you don't have to give it
out on the air, though, like if it's gonna count
like like I'm I'm like, I'm taking North Dakota plus
ten and a half. I'm taking the State University of
New Jersey Rutgers at minus thirty eight and a half
over Howard, those are my plays. That's what I'm doing.
I'm doing it, all right, I'm doing it. I'm firing

(01:47:56):
off two overs. I'm not a bit You know this?
How much? How much? Five each?

Speaker 2 (01:48:00):
I've got a twenty dollars bill in my p Yeah,
that's right, we'll see how much you have to get
home with.

Speaker 1 (01:48:06):
I haven't told my wife per se you all.

Speaker 2 (01:48:10):
Maybe I'm I got a couple of ones in there.
All right, here's what we're gonna do.

Speaker 1 (01:48:13):
We're gonna walk. We're doing this together. We're gonna do.

Speaker 2 (01:48:15):
We're gonna do twelve dollars on linden Wood, Kansas over Okay,
I think I got twenty six dollars in there. We
got another eight bucks on Jacksonville State coastill and then
we're gonna parlay it.

Speaker 1 (01:48:26):
That's what we're doing, all right, six dollars twenty six bucks.

Speaker 2 (01:48:30):
Gosh, I'm wanna keep some money in my pockety though
for that Florida game.

Speaker 1 (01:48:33):
You know, I love the Gators this week. I do
love the Gators, and I love Miami Ohio.

Speaker 2 (01:48:37):
Now I've talked myself into you know, it's a week
one of the college football season.

Speaker 1 (01:48:41):
When I'm firing off.

Speaker 2 (01:48:42):
Lyndon Wood, Miami Ohio, Coastal Carolina, and Jacksonville State.

Speaker 1 (01:48:48):
This is where I live.

Speaker 2 (01:48:50):
This is my wheelhouse band, the Rents is Chief, the
reds Achievement.

Speaker 1 (01:48:54):

Speaker 2 (01:48:55):
I'm the self elected mayor of Covered City, but we're
going to overtown instead.

Speaker 1 (01:49:01):
I mean, just like like like you gotta you gotta
bet within your limits. What you you know, what you
have is what you have, and and you shouldn't bet
things you don't have. I'm with all of that. But
when you sit here and talk about these these two
dollars and four dollars and seven dollars, and it does,
it cracks me up. It makes me laugh. It makes

(01:49:22):
like Thank God I'm single. I guess this is probably
where I live. If you were single, would you bet
more or less?

Speaker 2 (01:49:28):
Of course I would bet more, you kidd me, I
have nothing, what else would I spend my money on food,
booze and wagering investing.

Speaker 1 (01:49:34):
I got kids. My wife's pregnant.

Speaker 2 (01:49:36):
She's took the summer off, but she works at a school,
so I guess she didn't take the summer off. But
she keeps telling me. So I get a PlayStation. This
is where it starts. You know, we're not out of
it yet.

Speaker 1 (01:49:47):
Then you get you guys, put it like a swing
set in the backyard. Right, that's the PlayStation. That's the
actual play station. They can play at that station in
your backyard. So you already have your PlayStation. That's what
you're getting. You the you have the PS minus five.
The swing set is amazing. But man, my wife and
I argued about that swing set. She's like, we gotta

(01:50:08):
get it, and she already ordered it, and then she
didn't tell me she ordered it, and she said you're
gonna pay for it, and said, we didn't have this conversation.

Speaker 2 (01:50:14):
It's good for the kids. Other people gave me money.
The swing set's great memories are being made. No one
else could have made memories my dynasty. Okay, like Station five,
we could have had both. We were just a few
wagers away. A couple pick fives away, but.

Speaker 1 (01:50:29):
Those are my wages. Tonight, we're back in it. We're
back in this. Kill me.

Speaker 2 (01:50:36):
You gotta check out the swing set. It's pretty awesome.

Speaker 1 (01:50:38):
I believe it. I'm just afraid you're gonna have like
a donation. Can out by it like the he'll pay
for it.

Speaker 2 (01:50:45):
No, no, we got this tonight, Lindenwood, Kansas. Every you're
gonna got it seven bucks? No, no, no, you're right,
you're six fifty. I haven't checked the odds on it yet,
but that's that's probably more accurate.

Speaker 1 (01:51:00):
It's more like it. I don't know if I can
do the rest of the show. Got kill me? You
absolutely kill me. You know what you're talking about buying
a PlayStation making five dollar bets. I'm just saying, it's
a lot of five dollars bets. It's lottery tickets, buddy.
That's what you need.

Speaker 2 (01:51:13):
Growth back, It's it's growing over time. Place are expensive.

Speaker 1 (01:51:18):
I'm aware I own one. There's two in my house.
I thought I was boyfriend ball one.

Speaker 2 (01:51:24):
We're forty minutes away from going commercial for you today.
Here's what I'm a little concerned about. Our draft is
on Yahoo tonight yep. Do you think I'm gonna have
trouble getting into the draft room? You know I'm not
a big tech guy. Will I have trouble? Actually, i've
done you personally, you probably will. Yeah, I mean you
you're just not really all right?

Speaker 1 (01:51:43):
What's the word smart? I'm not a big tech guy,
but it's usually it's it's as simple as like just
pushing a button that says enter. Yeah, that's what I thought.
But that button hasn't popped on you. Well, no, because
it's not because we still were still fifty two minutes
away from the draft. You know what I'm gonna do this,
He's just about thirty minutes out there, like, yeah, exactly right.

Speaker 2 (01:52:03):
I'm not gonna click the button until we get closer
to five thirty, when we go a half hour commercial free,
when we are gonna go Fantasy Football draft. We're gonna
find out live on the air what our spots are
talking about draft strategies. Do the draft along with you
if you're listening.

Speaker 1 (01:52:14):
To fifteen, there's no unless we have the first we
both have picks in the first five. There's no way
we get both picks in before the show's over. There's
no way depends on how fast people are. Slow. People
are slowing these things.

Speaker 2 (01:52:27):
You and I will be able to have another I'll
be yelling at people.

Speaker 1 (01:52:29):
I'll be can we just go? Can we go? Can
we just go? Can you make your pick? Plays? That's it?

Speaker 2 (01:52:38):
Those are plays today? Thank Themuck cheffer let.

Speaker 1 (01:52:40):
Yeah, I'm ready, I'm fired up. I'm I'm I'm excited
about college football. I'm more excited about the NFL. Like, like,
you say that college football is the best place to wager,
My dad used to say college football is the worst
place to wager because you never know if one of
the athletes, like broke up with his girlfriend or you
didn't say that he did, did he? Yeah, Oh yeah,
I said that.

Speaker 2 (01:53:00):
On the show like two weeks ago.

Speaker 1 (01:53:01):
That's why my friends some wait, he said. He said,
like maybe they're failing the midterm. And now it's like
I wish if he was still around, I'd be like, yeah,
they don't care about mid terms anymore. Maybe when you
were a kid, that's a midterm. Of these guys, they
learned how to weave a basket and said, you know,
make a make some pottery. They gotta go paint and
sip with their girlfriend. What are they gonna do? Have
you seen new buttlight commercial for Shing Gillis?

Speaker 2 (01:53:24):
That made me laugh out loud. It's been a long
time to stay commercial. Maybe laugh out loud. That commercial
is laugh out loud.

Speaker 1 (01:53:30):
Fun. Yeah, that's just the beginning. He's gonna be he's
gonna bring back bud Light. They're gonna I find it
very intriguing that bud Light got basically canceled because they
sent free beer to h to a drag queen or
or a trans individual. I don't know what she is.
And now they're gonna be brought back by a guy
who's canceled for making Asian jokes. It's it's pretty amazing.

(01:53:53):
You know, if you're gonna if you're gonna be anti canceled,
you gotta apparently to bring in someone who's been canceled.

Speaker 2 (01:53:57):
And where wherever they are your left or right center
of what your political views are. The first commercial has
nothing to do with politics.

Speaker 1 (01:54:04):
It is just funny. It's just funny. And even if
it did have to do with podcas, it's it's time
to start laughing at that crap. We have all gone
way too far, all right, we are here, live advanced
slicks inside Rivers Casino and Resort coming up next. We're
gonna talk more crap. It's the third hour. It's that
guy's Fox Sports Radio ninety five, nine and nine eighty.

(01:54:27):
Oh you want me to tell you about Integra Sleep Center, Yes,
and spot. I didn't think you were listening. I was
done talking to you about the Integrative Sleep Center because
all I've heard about is your family complaining that you
snore on the couch and that maybe you stop breathing,
and then your snore is very loud and obnoxious and
maybe you stop breathing, to which I said to you, Guys,
if only someone who's been sitting next to you for
the last, like, I don't know, eight ten years had

(01:54:51):
been talking about a way to fix that, wouldn't it
be great if you could just call the Integrative Sleep
Center and balls the spot with doctor Fred Dreyer at
five eight eight, five, six twenty five. Wouldn't that'd be amazing.
It's not like for all these years people have locked
up me in public, and you've made fun of the
fact that they consistently ask me, does the mouthpiece from
the Integrave Sleep Center really work? And I say yes
to every one of them. Yet here you are snoring

(01:55:13):
potentially with obstructive sleep avenue and you haven't made the
call five eight eight eight five six eight five yet.
I'm just saying it's on the list.

Speaker 2 (01:55:20):
I think in twenty twenty four, I'm gonna make some
decisions that are gonna help me and the family.

Speaker 1 (01:55:24):
And they're gonna work with your insurance company. They're gonna
try and help you out. It's not gonna come out
of the PS five fund. You're gonna be okay. Just
make the call five eighty and five six one eight
five doctor Fredreer, the Integrave Sleep cent are Imbosston Spa.
They're helping me sleep better. They could help you sleep better, guys.
They can help everybody sleep better. I'm a call Fox

thirty minutes of fantasy football talk. I'm hoping people pick
fast though, that we both get to pick during that
during that time. Oh, we definitely will. You are out

(02:00:56):
of your mind.

Speaker 2 (02:00:57):
We have never done this, sinister of the show gone
live with the Fantasy foot Ball Draft. We've done fantasy
football drafts in the past. We've been out live for
fantasy football drafts. But to find the insight of what's
going on, and the fact that at least three members
of the league will be here with us hearing what
we're gonna do before we potentially pick ahead of them
is interesting, an interesting strategy that's about to take place.

Speaker 1 (02:01:17):
I don't think I've ever been in a fantasy draft
where there has been at least one person like, are
they are they auto drafting? What are they doing? Why
is it going on the end of the clock? Every time,
so we'll see. We'll see if it works out. It's
a it's a it's a bold strategy com We'll see
if it plays off for it. I want to remind
everybody that's Saturday. I'm going live over at the Capitol

longer than that.

I want bag play music everywhere I go and drums
played off Bake and Monroe or the men like I
just want to I want them like if I could
afford it, I would just paint them to follow me
around and every time I left the room, just be
like like Scotland, the brave would just come flying out
to be great. Good news for the Jets. Mike Williams
is cleared to play against San Francisco. So you got

(02:02:22):
your your your new wide receiver is gonna join the ranks.
He's cleared. He's ready to go. Get a big deal.

Speaker 2 (02:02:32):
No, des I would what they all picked big deal.
I would go a little deal because are they on
the same page. Rogers and Williams. It's gonna take him
a while, right, Like they haven't played with each other.
They don't know each other. They don't know what Rogers
is good enough where he can kind of end problem
the fly. We saw the guys with Jordy Nelson and
James Jones and others. I don't know if they actually

(02:02:53):
are gonna be good. I know he's a physical freak.
I know he can put up better yarns than on
this team than maybe other teams. But uh, San Francisco
is probably not going to be his breakout game.

Speaker 1 (02:03:03):
That'd be hard for me to believe that. I think
it'll be fine. I mean, like a lot of these
passing routes are you find the open spot and I'll
find you. So if Mike Williams, even if if Mike
Williams job is just to blow the top off the
defense and run down the sideline, that's not a terrible
thing to have. So I think I think it'll be
I think it's I think it's gear. I don't know whatever.
I could never I can never remember what matters what.

(02:03:29):
Speaking of the Jets and the Bills, it looked like
a former first round pick was going to join the Jets,
but then he changed his way. Lewis signed the safety
who was the thirty second overall pick for I believes Minnesota. Uh,

(02:03:52):
he is chie. He was supposed to go to the
Jets and now yeah, the twenty twenty two draft, Minnesota
took him, they waived him. He is now joining the
Buffalo Bills. Thought he was going to Jets, not go
to Jets. When I asked to comment, Jets Madle general
manager Joe Douglass said, quote, just to change your heart.
I guess you know what this is.

Speaker 2 (02:04:14):
This is We're gonna talk to him tomorrow. Our dear
friend Pat McKenna. This is a clinic on how to
work something in communications. Why is something different in public relations?
Well that set it up very well there. He says, Hey,
this guy is a former first round draft pick. So
a former first round draft pick for the former team
they played for, you would hope they would play anywhere
between four, eight, maybe ten years for a team, second contract,

(02:04:37):
same team. You got it right, So when you hear
a former first round pick, immediately my mind's.

Speaker 1 (02:04:42):
Like, why are we saying former?

Speaker 2 (02:04:44):
What happened in his life that we're just not saying
current member of But then all of a sudden he
signed to the team, like, hey, first round talent just
didn't have the right spot. It is an ultimate spin
job by fan bases and social media and people in
communications to say, hey, that first round draft pick who
just got cut by the team because they thought he
wasn't good enough even though they scouted him throughout college.

Speaker 1 (02:05:02):
He's on our team now and he could be an
impact player.

Speaker 2 (02:05:05):
Like I don't think he's going to be as maybe
as good as Bills fans things he can be, because
why was he cut by the team previous? Something went
wrong in you camp, something went wrong with performance. You're
just kind of taking a flyer and hopes he figures
it out for team.

Speaker 1 (02:05:18):
Two, well almost team three now, because right, all right,
let's just I get there's a lot of little NFL
nuggets for you, A big fat nugget.

Speaker 2 (02:05:29):
What do you make of the news of the New
England Patriots deciding not to go with Drake Mans the
team starting quarterback in Week one?

Speaker 1 (02:05:36):
A guy you.

Speaker 2 (02:05:37):
Insulted it to his face, Jacobe Priett I didn't insult
him to his face to insult, I didn't insult. He
thought he was insulted by me.

Speaker 1 (02:05:49):
What do you say to people who say you're just
a collegiate quarterback, to which he replied the saint collegiate,
now is it? And then sauntered away. I listen, Jacoby said,
he's let him be out there, let him. He let
him take some of these hits that they're gonna happen.
Give Drake Made as much time as possible. Don't don't

(02:06:10):
rush him, don't do nothing. He's your future if you're
gonna have one.

Speaker 2 (02:06:13):
Could Jacoby Burzette playing ten games?

Speaker 1 (02:06:18):
Yeah? I mean he could he play twelve? I feel
bad for the wide receivers that dude does not lead pass.
He just throws so hard and fast it hits you
where you are while he's letting go of it. Yeah,
he could play four games.

Speaker 2 (02:06:29):
New England really when you think about New England, You've
had Brady there for the decades in the Hall of Fame,
run and everything else. But they've had some Matt Castle,
Jimmy Garoppolo, Brian Hoyer. Gosh, some of these quarterbacks were.
Didn't t Bot get a quick cup of coffee with
the Patriots? I could have sworn it was on the
roster at one point preseason.

Speaker 1 (02:06:50):
More than anything, I think, yes.

Speaker 2 (02:06:51):
Like the Patriots look, every NFL team goes through that
they can try to find their quarterback in the future,
and mac Jones I didn't mention like they thought mac
Jones was the guy for the future.

Speaker 1 (02:07:00):
They've had some bad quarterback.

Speaker 2 (02:07:03):
You make a look at the Patriots post Brady. I
don't even know if this is a compliment Jacoby. He
could be the best one since Brady. Is that a compliment?

Speaker 1 (02:07:16):
Is that good?

Speaker 2 (02:07:16):
Like Drake Mays the Hope, I still think he's actually
gonna play pretty good in Week one. I believe that
Bengal matchup is be very, very careful on survivor pools
and just firing your money off on Cincinnati. I think
New England's gonna have some things that hard to expect,
especially with a new head coach and a lot of changes.
That is not as easy as fire your money. Don't
even think twice about the Bengals. I think you and

(02:07:38):
I might cover that a little bit more on Monday
during our NFL season preview show.

Speaker 1 (02:07:42):
Yeah, there's a lot stuf about there. How about another
giant story, Evan Neil, Your your future is is before you.
As Brian Dables said, clot we don't need any more
guards his futures at tackle. So he's the backup right
tackle right now. If Evan Neil wants to stay a

(02:08:03):
member of the New York Jets, he gonna have to
get good at tackle. What happened, like.

Speaker 2 (02:08:07):
What happened with Avenue, Evaniil was a guy that all
you gonna do was walk in the room. They're like,
this is the guy, Like he's that good, He's this big.
I've never seen somebody so athletic, holds weight so perfectly,
a beast that he looked like a can't miss this
is the guy type player, and he just didn't have it.
He just had nothing left, sort of like this one

(02:08:29):
horse in this race. My gosh, I cannot believe I
just lost. Oh my gosh, ladies, and gentlemen, The winner
of the C four bank Roll Challenge Love Act.

Speaker 1 (02:08:44):
Gosh, you gotta be kidded. Be how I just lost
that race? Unbelievable. Can we go ahead, Let's let's move
the trophy. Let's take the trophy right over to my
can we is anybody at the office, is Junior at
the office right now? Can you have him go and move.

Speaker 2 (02:08:58):
The trophy from the happy birthday Junior.

Speaker 1 (02:09:01):
From Cantera's desk to mine, worst to first, first to worst.
The winner of the C four Bankroll Horse Racing Challenge.
Thanks to our friends at C four. Make sure you
stop by Stewart's or Speedway, get yourself popsicle flavor, get
yourself an ultimate energy, and get yourself acknowledging your champion

(02:09:24):
Jeff Levakh two trophies on my desk. It's how many
get worked on with all these accolades. This is I
love this and look into our friends. My awards by Walsh.
Thank you for making beautiful trophies. If you just want
to get if you just want to start making, Jeff
Levak is the champion Dame Placards. Uh, you might as
well just keep them going. I led wire to wire

(02:09:47):
the same way I did last year with the NFL
the same day, I'll do the same thing I'll do
this year with the NFL. What is it like to
constantly lose? To me? What is it like? Are you okay?
This is?

Speaker 2 (02:10:00):
What's that race that we just watched right there? That
Levec finishes it off and wins. That sums up what
C four has been in this twenty twenty four additional
horse race, because look what the one went off at
six to five. I told you, I'm done betting four
to fives. I'm done betting evens. I'm done bett in
heavy favorites. Andrew Champagne had a feel about this race

(02:10:24):
single the one I rolled with it.

Speaker 1 (02:10:26):
I'm not blaming Andrew, yeah, understand.

Speaker 2 (02:10:29):
No, no, no, I'm just poisoned. This has been we mentioned
in the conversation. This has been the theme of Saratoga here.

Speaker 1 (02:10:34):
You know what a twelve to one over a four
to one over a forty five to one.

Speaker 2 (02:10:41):
We used to say this about Bear Filica years ago,
and Bear Filica does this thing, Bear bets and everything else.
I feel like poor Andrew Champagne has been getting heat
on Twitter from people who listen to this show because
of plays like again nothing Andrew personally did it wrong
to us, but gosh, Twitter is not if you were
a handicapper, if you were someone who does wagers, you

(02:11:03):
want to feel some venom. Social media not always nice.
Did the handicappers who miss on this show? And they've
been letting and Andrew have it a little bit today.
But I'm making a lot of excuses because we do
have a new champion for the challenge.

Speaker 1 (02:11:17):
Make a wish. There's money coming your way, not a lot,
because I was the only one to knew how to
win a horse race. Hopefully we you know, we get
to change on the Gaza's car or something to go
with the money, as as I have yet again won.
I made a wish and it happened. It's I want
to thank the little people. Actually, I don't want to

(02:11:37):
thank anybody. Was me. I did it. There's all me
when I called from my vacations and picked and you
and you mocked my picks and you mocked them, and
what did they do? They paid man.

Speaker 2 (02:11:55):
Now our friends at C four, not only will Max.

Speaker 1 (02:11:58):
I've actually begun to win so much. They're changing the
name of awards by Walsh to Levac. That's just Awards
by Washes. Now they just make trophies for me. I
don't know if that's what they're doing the business. Everyone else,
you better call today and get your trophies for the
for Fantasy Football and your belts and everything from Awards
by Walsh, because they're gonna be way too busy making
Lavac trophies. I'm gonna drink a C four out of

(02:12:22):
the trophy. Big OL's over. He's like, I'm a problem solved.
I'll put a hole on the top and get you
a straw. You'd be ready to go. I'm gonna put
a C four in there. I'm gonna drink it.

Speaker 2 (02:12:31):
Oh man, I got it with the NFL challenge, Come on,
what do you? I gotta break it through. I got this.
I got this, I got this. I gotta come back.
I got this.

Speaker 1 (02:12:38):
What if? When's the last time you beat me in
an NFL challenge? When's the last time you beat me
in a challenge?

Speaker 2 (02:12:43):
I want to bet last year at some point, remember, no,
we we we were out in the parking lot doing stuff.

Speaker 1 (02:12:49):
I don't really remember.

Speaker 32 (02:12:49):
No.

Speaker 1 (02:12:50):
Try should have phrased that better. Actually, that sounds sounds
like you're roofing me. It's what it sounds like. Ah,
you remember, No, I don't. Must have blocked it out. Man,
it feels good.

Speaker 2 (02:13:02):
It's nice now again four our friends at C four
are not only a part of this, they're matching.

Speaker 1 (02:13:08):
Are totally? Are they doing it again? Are they matching again?
I just put pressure on them to do that? Hopefully?
They said they didn't offer that.

Speaker 2 (02:13:13):
Yeah, well they didn't like I said, may or may
not do.

Speaker 1 (02:13:16):
C four called and said, listen, we've supplied you with
explosive energy. You can feel, okay, popsicle flavors. Why don't
you raise the money. They gave us the money up front? Yes,
I at least raised the money. How much money did
you raise.

Speaker 2 (02:13:33):
The second most in the challenge this year thanks to it?

Speaker 1 (02:13:35):
Yeah? How much money did can't? Tara?

Speaker 32 (02:13:39):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (02:13:40):
Can't Tara will probably zero okay? And zero zero? Okay?
How much did Quinn win? Thirty six dollars? He's not
thirty six dollars?

Speaker 2 (02:13:51):
Yeah, I gotta look at fifty nine dollars and here
it is fifty nine dollars, and.

Speaker 1 (02:13:57):
Let's break your heart. You couldn't get the sixty nine
sixty He's gonna break your art and want to do.
And then me over here, you know ninety five just
over here actually gave giving back more money than I
was given.

Speaker 2 (02:14:08):
Yes, we were something I only want to do that.
We started with eighty dollars. We had a ten dollars maximum.
Levac did finish in plus money.

Speaker 1 (02:14:15):
That is correct. And then and that's why I've won.
And that's why I've won. It feels good, It feels good,
It feels good. I might cry. I might actually cry.

Speaker 2 (02:14:23):
Are you saying it didn't come down to the final
race like I was hoping.

Speaker 1 (02:14:26):
There would be more money. That would have been nice
if there was more money on the line, because I
make it, which is great, all joking aside, all the
all the charities, great real men were paying. I know,
I know Canta was playing for the firehouse that's doing
a fundraiser around down outside of his neighborhood. I can't
remember what what Quinn was was playing for. But just
because I'm so focused on my winning, but uh, but yes,

(02:14:50):
so make It's gonna get a couple bucks, a couple bucks.

Speaker 2 (02:14:52):
I'm bouncing back.

Speaker 1 (02:14:53):
Thanks for our friends to see four.

Speaker 2 (02:14:54):
It starts on Sunday, two sundays from now. I'm bouncing
back back a victory. You've now got both. You've now
got the C four and you've got the NFL and
the horse racing on the mantle.

Speaker 1 (02:15:07):
Gosh from the Colony Chamber of Commis President Tom Nolty
All Hill the vac by the way. By the way,
see if you get a belt, they're more portable. I'm
you know right now, I got the few trophies. Uh,
it's nice. I can only touch the one trophy for
couple more days because once it's up, once it's in play,
you can't touch it, right, it's bad. But but the
horse racing trophy I can walk around with now until

(02:15:29):
next season. Uh. The NFL trophy I can walk on
around with until Thursday. But uh, it's just good. It's
just I mean, it's Is it feel good to know
somebody who's as good at winning as I'm? No, Yes,
what I'll do a celebratory beer if you don't mind. Absolutely,
it's gonna take the money that he was gonna use

(02:15:50):
for your beer and donate it to make a wish
so they get some money. Because you didn't get anything.
That seems wrong, an I p a something then whatever
ever you're getting, I'm I'm happy. I'm I'm just I'm
I'm a winner. Winter Winter Chicken dinner just feels good,
is it? What is it like to be friends with
me knowing that I win all the time? Like do

(02:16:11):
you call people and be like, I don't know what
it's like to win, but I've seen it and it
looks fun.

Speaker 2 (02:16:15):
I wish it was terrible. My buddy Josh, one of
our my former producer back in Syracuse, he goes, hey, uh,
your friend Levac, he's competing with us this year one
of our pick challenges, right.

Speaker 1 (02:16:27):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, tell them to send the
money now. Yeah. I told him, man, I said, you're
pretty good. Actually I'm in. I'm in like four or
five pick ups. I'm only in like two Fantasy leagues
this year, I think. But I'm in like multiple picking
pools and different rules and all this other stuff. So
and right now, the home run challenge that we're doing,
I'm starting to get a little nervous.

Speaker 2 (02:16:46):
Oh let's talk about that real quick. You did not
fire off of Wan Soto bed I might be.

Speaker 1 (02:16:50):
He's they're they're they're off for Friday. I'm not touching it.
I'm not touching it because he's he's not he's not
hitting them when I when I bet on him. So
I'm gonna leave him alone. I need him what Friday,
Saturday or Sunday. I need him to hit a home run. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:17:06):
My way to my stupid thing I had on the
air the other day was you're gonna fire off at
least one more wan So to'd bet either Thursday or Friday.

Speaker 1 (02:17:12):
I'll look at Randy mccarton just brought another trophy, Claro.
Maybe I can add that to my to my collection.
There's another one. Just put it at my desk, put
it everywhere it belongs, put it with his friends.

Speaker 2 (02:17:23):
That's a I mean, it's a capital region legend right there. So, uh,
we have Levac and if you're joining us late here,
not only is Levac just captured.

Speaker 1 (02:17:29):
You can celebrate with a champion at the Scottish Games.
Actually the rest of today at at Van Slick's and Rivers. Yes, Tomorrow,
I'm gonna be at the track, my victory tour. Uh, Saturday,
gonna be at uh the Capitolist Scottish Games. Sunday I rest,
you know, the Sabbath. Yeah, it's just it's so difficult

(02:17:51):
to carry those trophies around I start to wear out.

Speaker 2 (02:17:54):
Uh, if you're joining us slate here, we are gonna
do a fantasy football draft live on the air. We
are gonna go for the final a half hour of
the show commercial free. We're gonna find out our pick
what spot we have live on the air. Coming up tomorrow,
we're gonna be out live as well. It has been confirmed.
I don't know what's end today's show. Because it has
been confirmed. I tease it a little bit on social media.

(02:18:16):
We are scheduled tomorrow at three pm to be joined
by the head men's basketball coach of the Sienna Saints,
Jerry McNamara, my childhood hero.

Speaker 1 (02:18:28):
This is Live. Is this the most excited you've ever
been for a guest? Yes? Yes, shows up.

Speaker 2 (02:18:35):
I hope so too. I am very excited to interview.
They were teammates, right, No, they're not the school mcdab
left in ninety eight spring of ninety nine. McNamara freshman
and O three.

Speaker 1 (02:18:50):
No, no, no, I'm sorry, No, it's okay. Sorry, listen. I
can't be right all the time, just when there's money.

Speaker 2 (02:18:55):
I'm very excited about that tomorrow. Uh, he's scheduled. Jonas Matthew,
the Santa Sancho Champagne, Pat McKennon, every But we have
to finish up today's show, so I have.

Speaker 1 (02:19:02):
To do this the back.

Speaker 2 (02:19:04):
