Speaker 1 (00:00):
Play another team twice. That's how MathWorks. I often start

(00:02):
from the start right last year, the reigning defending champion
Capitol Region Radio legend raining McCart and somewhere behind.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
There he is. He put the trophy right in front
of me. It's like he was like, listen, I know
this is going to be yours anyway, here take this.
And I was like, I was like, game respects game.
You know what we're.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Going to try to do here is give you draft strategies.
So wherever you're drafting your upcoming fantasy football draft, figure
out your position, what the strategy might be, players are
going to target. And just the biggest advice I tell
everybody every single time, we always have to say this,
realize the rules of your league. We are very typical
right here. This is a half point PPR classic roster.

(00:45):
Nothing out of the ordinary. This is very basic. Not
to get no, I'm not taking that as a job.
It's like, this is a standard league we're playing it.
You might play in the league where you got bonus
points for hitt one hundred yards. You might play in
the league where you're not PPR. You might play it.
Find out the rule of your league before you ever
do it, because you might not draft the same way
all the time. Always got you and I were in.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
The league ones and we're watching it our It was
our boss at the time starts picking up quarterbacks and
we're like, why are you grabbing all these quarterbacks? Like
nobody drafts two quarterbacks the first two picks. What are
you doing? And then we go back and look it
was two starting quarterbacks. Whoever set the league up? So
it was he was he. I don't know. I think

(01:26):
he might have won that year just based on the
fact that he was the only person who read the
rules before the draft.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
He smoked everybody. And it wasn't even just a two
quarterback league. It was called the super flex And how
the haw the commissioner did it. Usually you can see
it like it will say QB slash running back. Nobody knew.
It was like pete, what you call Pete out?

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Pete?

Speaker 1 (01:43):
You didn't tell anybody who's a super flex? And we
just got smoked at this. Oh sorry, guys, Oh my gosh.
So always remember the actual roster set up as well,
so I'll check the rules. Okay, Levac, we've got our
draft order. Would you like to talk to your strategy first.
You want me to go well, but.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
You got the higher pick. Why don't you go first.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
I'm thrilled. I could not be happy here. I don't
know if I'm ever going to hop off this. I
know there's been maybe some years, but it's probably as
long as Lavacks known me. I love picking at the
top of the order. I want to be here. Why
do I like picking within the top four? If I
got a choice, I'd always go number one. I want
to control my own destiny because you like to destroy careers.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
David Johnson has never been seen it. He's on a
milk carton. You drafted number one.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
There's the stat out there. I could pull it up
right now, but we'll just paint with the rod Rush here.
If the number one pick in your draft. Over the
last eight seasons, there have only been about three of
those eight players that have actually stayed in the top five.
McCaffrey's been one of them, Antonio Brown's been one of them.
I'm blank. Adrian Peters an't think it was the other one.
So universally they were a number one pick. Usually it

(02:51):
doesn't factor that way. But the reason I love a
high pick, I have number two here in this draft
coming out, Yeah, number two out of fourteen. I control
my own destiny. It's hard to go through a draft
and see a player that you really want go when
you have those back end picks. So I'm talking the
number one overall pick or the bottom whether you're in
a ten team league, at twelve team league of fourteen
team league. When you get to the turn, you get

(03:13):
to kind of reach on a player because you know
you're never gonna get him again. Hey, if you love
Travis Kelcey or Patrick Mahomes, you want that stack, you
might think about it at the bottom of the second
or the bottom of the third kind of league size.
You make that decision for yourself. You control your own destiny.
You get the guys that you want. So I have
the number two overall pick, non keeper league.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
So that's unless something crazy happens, you're going to get
your boy Ceede Lamb.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
I want CD Lamb at this pick. Now AI Annihilators
has the number one pick. I don't have any type
of This is Quinn. By the way, If Quinn is
signed on and does this, he is likely gonna take McCaffrey.
He has no allegiance to a certain player, like if
he was a Dolphin fan, maybe he'd take Tyreek Hill.
So I believe he's gonna take McCaffrey overall, Quinn, I'll
take cd Lamb. I think Ceede Lamb's poised to have

(03:57):
a huge year. So my strategy is Ceedee Lamb.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
I would rather be two than one, because I would
rather because again, the number one pick almost always falls
like it just doesn't doesn't pan out appropriately. So let
the other person take the glory dog, the big one
that everybody wants, and then you get to take your
pick usually and usually like let's say, like so in
this particular Yahoo draft, they've got it ranked Ceedee Lamb two,

(04:22):
Tyreek Hill three, Bryce Hall four is the way they've
got it. So like if you wanted to go, no,
I think Tyreek Hill is better than see Lamb. No
one's gonna go you idiot, you know what I mean.
But if you took Tyreek Hill or Ceedee Lamb instead
Christian McCaffrey, you now have to listen to that for
months until your pick is either justified or destroyed.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
My hope, and that's exactly right. And my hope here
at the number two spot is that I would get
Ceedee Lamb here at this two pick, and by the time,
if you give me.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Ten bucks, I won't text Quinn to take Ceedee Lamb.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
When it wraps around, every person views running back so
differently twenty twenty four. You're gonna play with people who
want to do zero running back. You're gonna tell people
that wide receivers score now more than running backs. Oh
that's true. But there's a chance when this flips around,
Saquon Barkley could be on the board. Derreck Henry could
be on the board. Jonathan Taylor could be on the board.

(05:16):
You've got some lower tier wide receivers who maybe gets
you excited, maybe Mike Evans, maybe Travis Kelsey, Sam Laporta.
So my goal by the time the second and third
wraps around, quick math right fourteen team League twenty seven
twenty five picks are gonna go ahead of me. I'm
hoping when I split it, so I'm talking quarterback, running back,
wide receiver, tight end, I can get somebody in the

(05:38):
top four. I don't think the math will be in
my favor, but if I can get somebody that thinks
in the top four, hope somebody reaches on some players
at different positions. That's my hope. Uh, Levac, what spot
do you have?

Speaker 2 (05:49):
I am in eleventh, so eleven out of a fourteen
team league. The only pick that really, you know you
you might be like, oh man, I missed out is
the first one. And that's and that's because ten people
pick before you. I am a big fan of letting
the draft come to me. So what I will do
is I will load my queue up with all the

(06:11):
players ahead of my pick, or allegedly ranked ahead of
my pick, or that I feel should be ranked where
my pick is. Because every once in a while, like
God said, everybody will go a different direction. They'llzig where
you think they should zag. And all of a sudden,
you know I'm sitting there at eleven and be Jon
Robinson's available. Well maybe I don't have it set up

(06:32):
right now. Not seeing that, don't be afraid to use
your cue. Your cue is the staging room. It's where
you decide. That's where you put everybody you might possibly want,
even close to your pick. I love the eleventh pick
for a couple reasons. Hey, I'm forced to really evaluate
my team. It's not there's gonna be very few times
that I'm gonna make a pick where everybody's gonna go huh,

(06:53):
I don't understand what you did there. There's gonna be
a lot of times where I'm gonna make picks where
people are gonna go, oh, good play or him, and
I thought that was coming to me. I am not
beholden to the rankings of Yahoo. When I get here
at eleven, if Yahoo's got let's say, I really love
Davante Adams, and I'm just using a name. I'm not
saying I love anybody or whatever. I just the Raider.
Everybod's gonna asume I'm taking him. I wore all my

(07:15):
raider gears, so everybody assume I'm taking all the Raiders.
I'll take him at eleven. If I want it's my pick,
I'll do what the hell I want with it, my party,
and I'll cry if I want it. The wrap around
is where I get that next pick, which would be
about the eighteenth pick of the draft. That's what you know.
You want to gamble? Do you really want a Davante Adams?
Do you want I put everybody into the que big

(07:37):
house over here trying to scam When you pick five,
he's got five, He's got five. Yeah, so he's ahead
of me anyway. It doesn't matter. But like if if
I put everybody in my queue, I'm if you really
really want somebody and you're like, yeah, you know they
might be there at eighteen, they might not, Okay, So
don't be afraid to take him at eleven. Take him
where you want them. You have to be ready to

(07:59):
make two picks. It's not the straight back and forth,
which you're going to be close to with that second pick,
but there's going to be a lot going there. Most
important thing again, let the draft come to you. Don't
get married to any one player because if they go
right before you pick and you're scrambling and all of
a sudden you turn into Dave Gettleman try and you
got your Darius Tony on your team, you know, so

(08:21):
so you know, be fluid with it. Get the best
player available at all times. Worry about Bie weeks later.
It's all about just getting the best player available when
you're the eleventh player in a draft.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
I want to add a little to that lock because
that's all really good stuff. There was a story you
and I did this event gosh, six years ago where
Matthew Berry mister roto himself skyped into the event. I'll
always remember this is the craziest advice he offered me.
There was some guy sitting in the second row and
the guy puts his hand up. He's been waiting to
talk to Matthew Berry. He goes, all right, so I
already know in the first round I'm going running back.

(08:53):
Do I go wide receiver wide receiver? Or do I
go wide receiver running back? And Matthew Berry goes, whoaho?
Slow down the draft come to you, like Lack said, like, hey,
if you're sitting on the board, and we'll just use
Bjeon Robbinson for an example. Okay, b Jon Robbinson is
a really nice player. You've got the eleven pick, like Levak,
you think v Jeon's probably gonna go ahead of you.
Maybe you're thinking Pukaakua or Devon Satams or somebody else.

(09:16):
All of a sudden, the eleven pick rolls around and
there's Bjeon Robinson. Oh boy, I didn't think Bijeon would
be there. You have this idea of how going to
structure your roster. To add to that, don't ignore what's
happening in the actual draft things go. That's what actually
makes fantasy football so much fun. Let's use like a
Bill's example. Right, Let's say you're gonna legue with a
bunch of Bills fans. Is there a chance that somebody

(09:38):
in your draft's gonna take Josh Allen in the first
your second round? Yeah, they just might. They just might
fire off a pick and take Josh Allen. Our guy, Junior, right,
Junior was talking about some draft strategy he has for
this team. He hasn't played fantasy in a while. He
is a bit I believe he's a Giants fan. He
said he might, you know, try a quarterback he wants
early on. So be prepared for those changes of if

(10:00):
you know somebody is a Bills fan, If you know this,
don't structure your roster of how you thought it was
gonna go and ignore what's actually happening. If you get
three good running backs, you got three good running backs.
If it's like the fifth round and Lamar is still
on the board or Mahomes is on the board, and
nobody started the waterfall of quarterbacks and you want one

(10:20):
to love xpoint, go get one. It's your team, you crap,
you want.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
To And here's something that people aren't going to tell you.
If you know your league, you know who you can
deal with, you know who you can take advantage of. Okay,
so here's the thing. You end up with three great
running backs out the rip. Well, I look over, Goss's
got three wide receivers. I'm literally gonna look at Gods

(10:44):
at some point and be like, hey, we're gonna swap
at least one of those were one of those. Yeah,
all right, cool Now I'm not as worried. But like you,
you and I were in a draft one year. We're
going into the draft. Bostond and I had the exact
same theory on and Sony Michelle and the couple of
the tight ends he had. So he had he had

(11:09):
three tight ends. Darren Waller was his second. When he drafted,
I had. I was stacked on running backs. We both
thought Sony Michelle was gonna blow up. We both thought
it was. It was the thing where we sat at
the end of the table and I looked at him
and I went, I need a tight end. I want
Darren Waller, I want my raider. You want Michelle, I
know you do. We talked about it all week. You

(11:31):
want to swap anyway? Will you give me anything. On
top of it, I'm like, I buy you a beer.
Like I mean, we both think he's I think I'm
giving you a stud. You think you're giving me a stud.
I don't care about ratings. The rest of the league
exploded because we made that trade. But you know what,
he left that table satisfied with his team. He had

(11:51):
stud tight ends. He had. It ended up being study.
It was the kid that they drafted for Atlanta, Kyle fits. Yeah,
and so he thought with Pitts and then Michelle, he
was good. He had a nice one two punch. I,
on the other hand, I ended up with Waller. Waller
didn't do what he's supposed to either, and I think Waller,
I'm getting hurt. He ended up actually, they were pretty
He ended up being pretty even.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Within thirty or forty points in a sixteen week season.
That's two to three. That's basically eaving exactly right. And
we're two minutes away from this draft.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
In our way. So but my point being, I knew
what he wanted and he had what I wanted. So
I took Sony Michelle. I was on the fence. I
was I was like, I don't need another running back. Whatever.
But I thought to myself, I was like, let me
grab him now. Before you think that was a one
sided back and forth. You know, Hosiary, how many of
the Raider players that I was in on. There was

(12:39):
three Raider players I wanted that year. I wanted Derek Carr,
I wanted Josh Jacobs, and I wanted Darren Waller. It
is the only three I wanted. I knew I could
hunt a round for a lay, and I knew I
get somebody else late whatever. That dude took every one
of those right before I went, like the pick before me,
he took him. Yeah, and he was looking at them.
And then we've had other years where our old producer,
Matt Woods, not the great Matt Woods from from the

(12:59):
fire Words, the somewhat good Matt Woods from from Radio,
was looking at Mike Cue. There's another reason to load
your que everyone, because someone's gonna look at it. So
load your que just in case you get up to
go pee and then some unscrupulous human goes ahead and
tries to steal your picks. Less than a minute until
this draft gets under way. I think this is the

(13:21):
only conventional draft I'm in this year. I mean I'm
in a keeper league. I'm in this one, and we're
not doing the Gazilla League this year.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
And we used to do a Hooters league.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
We see it.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
We had a bunch of leagues.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
Well, the the Hooters League was the Gozilla League. Yes,
you got rid of your media company. Everybody who was
in that joined the Hooters League.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Exactly right. I would say this one other thing. With
thirty seconds left to go, here, have fun, enjoy this.
This is socially really cool. Talk so much trash.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
I'm so shocked that Quinn is not He's auto draft.
Which one is kids? The sons of Marconi, I believe. So. Yeah,
the two of them are two, they're one in three
and neither one are logged in. There's a couple not
logged in. All right. The name what's the name of
your team this year is Gizzies. I hate you so much.

(14:10):
My team and this is for my buddy Chris Stallion
scouting service. That's what the name of mine. All right,
we're all right, here we go, and this is why
we wait because people aren't logged in. This is well,
we're quick here back, I think we've got there.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
We go.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
So the first player Offcaffery is off the board, gaze
is up.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
All right, So I'm c clam that's my pick. I
think he's gonna have a better year than Tyreek Hill.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
This means Tyreek Hill is gonna come off. Because this
is an auto draft. I think he would have went Chris.
You just got fired by our salesman. He's a Cowboys fan.
You took the one player he wanted, all right, So yeah,
so now we just uh there was that was an
auto draft. He's off. We're now in the fourth pick. Allegedly,

(14:56):
the best player on the board is Breise Hall. This
is Junior on the board. Here as good as your boy.
This is Zach boy and Junior on the board. He
is a giant fan. He is back into fantasy football.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
I feel like with the fourth or overall pick a
lot this is in your draft, ward can get a
little interesting. Jamar Chase is dealing with some issues off
the field contract wise. Justin Jefferson is a new quarterback,
a modron Saint Brown and Breiese Hall. If he went
in that director or even Garrett Wilson, if he decided.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
Well, I remember mom's a big time Dolphins fan. It
probably blew his mind that Tyreek Hill came off. He's
probably all about that.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Yeah, he's probably not thrilled. This is where it can
get a little interesting if he what did he do it?
Not a bad pick?

Speaker 2 (15:34):
Who's throwing the ball though. That's the only reason I was.
I was on the fence about Justin Jefferson. This's early
Sam Darnold. Is he gonna be good enough to get
him the ball? Jared Hall gone in Minnesota?

Speaker 1 (15:43):
Now our guy Allen's on the clock at Packer fan.
This is always fun storylines. Does he root against his
Packers when Saint Brown is his pick potentially here? Or
does he say Jamar Chase is better for me.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
He may go all the way down and find Jordan Love.
He may just go full. He just drafted Brett Farv's
B John Robinson. Nothing wrong with that. That's a great pick.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
I like that a lot.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
I think B John Robinsons gonna have a hell of year.
Remember we're live here at Rivers Casino and Resort inside
Van Slicks. We're going commercial free because the fantasy football
draft that we're both in is happening, and guys thought
this was gonna be great programming. I hope that it
is our guy. Jay Will is listening and he's I
love Jay Will. He's in a fourteen team league where
they have an amazing like you was tone of the
Championship Belt. We need, we need to emulate the Championship Belt.

(16:24):
We need that thing.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
So we're seeing the trend right now in this Tress
Hall just came off the board. So three of the
top six picks McCaffrey, Robinson, and Hall have come off
the board. So already the theme of this draft is
people want to get their running backs.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
Live Arrett Wilson off the board.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
No issues with Garrett Wilson.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
No, I think Garret Wilson's gonna be a monster this year.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
Maybe top five wide receiver potentially Jake Marcus Siena Zone
is now on the clock. Uh Saint Brown.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
See, that was the only guy that was ranked above
where I'm picking that I had in my I still
had in my cue.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
So Jamar Chase, according to Yahoo and other sites, would
be the biggest drop right now. Someone say he should
be a top six pick. He's now falling all the
way to nine.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
Is there any chance he doesn't play? Yeah, I think
there's a chance he won't play because right Now it's
my turn, and I've got Jamar Chase, Jonathan Taylor, Derrick Henry,
Saquon Barkley, Jamier Gibbs. Oh man, you know what I'm
gonna do. I'm gonna go with my boy. Who thinks

(17:23):
that Saquon Barkley is gonna have a big year. Oh
my god, I'm taking Saquon Barkley in honor of gods.
God said two thousand from sub scrimmage. Listen, He's gonna
run angry this year. He's gonna run angry.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
So running backs are flying off the board.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
Here if Jamar Chase finally off the board, if.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
You are close enough. And that is Sarah. She got
Jamar Chase with her thirteenth overall pick, and she's probably
confused of what she's gonna have to do now. She
probably never thought chance would get that low. You got Barkley,
like you said, I'm a huge fan of him this season.
I thought maybe had to have a chance with Barkley
and Henry, no chance.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Now I think him as a number two overall pick
in the past. I feel way better about him this
year than I than I did that year. Stallion's scouting
service is is alive. And well, we're cute up pretty
nice here. Everything so close enough as an auto draft,
that's gonna be Jamior Gibbs. That sucks. I would love

(18:20):
to grab Jamiir Gibbs. I'm two picks away. So now
it's Kyne Williams is the is the slated pick by
Yahoo by all and too Well, I'm not sure who
that is, but I know Monsters of Mini mart who
I believe is Randy over there.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
He's out of the bottom. He took Marvin Harrison Junior
where he knew, like, he's not getting back to me.
I think Marvin Harrison Junior is gonna have a huge season.
He's not getting back to me. Marvin Harrison Junior some
projective to me, I want to say right now. But
Jeco is still on the board for you. Davante Adams
is still on the board for you. I think you're
liking how.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
I'm not that. I just I don't. I'm just hoping
they take Karen Williams like they've been told.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
Drake London has hyped up there. They took him a
home so we got our first quarterback off the board.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Seventeen overall, I'm gonna go ahead and grab the man
who runs angry, another angry run. I got angry backfield
right now. Isaiah Pachecko now part of SSS.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
So you've been in leagues before, you've stayed away from
running backs. But I think you looked at that value,
not horse racing style, but this value, said like, how
can you pass on either one?

Speaker 2 (19:18):
I mean, honestly, if this falls a certain way, which
I don't think it's possible, I might go three straight
running backs to start to If that's the best player available,
that's who I'm taking. I'm the best player available guy
right now, that's where I live.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
There is a chance Josh Jacobs could get back to you,
So I'm watching how this rest of the thing is
gonna fall.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
Well, you know, to be perfectly honestly, there's no way
to get back to me. Travis Aten Junior, I think
is a hell of a steal this draft. I think,
if you can get I almost took him right there
instead of Pachecko, But I just think Pacheco, I think
when you look at the metamorphosis of the Chiefs building,
the defense, being stronger outside the ball, being a strong
running team suits them well. So that's why I went

(19:55):
with him instead. At that point, and you.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
Would think at that point too, like maybe potentially can
just get into the end zone. You're like they've had
some situations on off and feel like, okay, like maybe
this could be they Gosh, I'm gonna have a lot
of options here coming around. The problem is like Cooper
Cup's coming off an injury, Miko Collins is fairly young,
Jalen Waddle, I'm probably gonna go wide receiver here.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Again.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
The only running back I'm really thinking of is Josh Jacobs.
Kyron Williams is on the board.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
I guess I have to remember Josh James A. J.
Williams is hurt. Yeah, so you're looking at he's he's
gonna be your your primary back. He's good at that role.
But could he get run down by not having another
big back to take care of him.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
It's very possible.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
And to Kyron Williams, he's returning punts now for the Rams.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
Yeah. I think that's why he's still sitting there right now.
I think that's why. I mean, if if he if
he's here, when do you pick?

Speaker 1 (20:53):
I got I'm about four picks away.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
If he's there when Europe, I would I would definitely
have to take him. Uh but I I you also
got the Rams, and they're weird. The Rams are weird.
You never know what you're gonna get out of that
quarterback position. It's just like a box of chocolates.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
I've got three really good. I got four guys.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
I like here.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
I like Evans, I like Jacobs, I like DeVonta Smith,
I like John Atta, I like all these. I think
Josh James is gonna off the port here to a
Packer fan, though I think it's a nice thing if
he wants Jacobs here.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
It's kind of hard not to do that one at
this point. I hate that there's auto drafts here.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
Oh gosh. He took Drake London, who was with potentially
Cousins and Pannix and a new offense.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
Because there's a player. I think this year he just
I think he explodes unless, if you unless something goes
horribly wrong with Houston. I think Nico Collins could have
a year. I think, you know, if you guys don't remember,
Nico Collins was a Michigan wide receiver who never seemed
to like hit that level they expected him to. He's

(22:02):
super talented. He got in a little bit of trouble.
The team was in a little bit of disarray. He's
special and I think he's gonna go off in Houston
this year. He is so good.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
He had some highlight real places. Okay, so I'm two
picks away here Zach is taking his sweet time on
the board. If my dream scenario could play out, I
would love Mike Evans and wrap around and get Cooper Cup.
But if I get uh Cup and Smith, I'm okay
with that. I'm one pick away from Cup. Off Junior,

(22:32):
heard you, Okay, Juniors listening.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
Back in the studio. That's what's going on. Gon Me
just stole his pick.

Speaker 1 (22:39):
Stay away from Mike Evans. Stay away. Okay, I could
draft the great arguably. How about this stat Mike Evans,
my Tampa Bay Buccaneers. You could make a case now
he may be the greatest Tampa Bay buccaneer player of
all time. Remember Warren Sapp went to the Raiders, Lynch
went to the Broncos. Dereck Brooks, it's probably between Derek
Brooks and Mike Evans. Down is the great of all time.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
And you just talk yourself into taking them. I took
myself out there, Travis at and gets auto picked, and
now Nico Collins will also get auto picked. I hate
the auto picks. I hate him. They're doing well, it's
all right, it's working. Golzzi's you back up?

Speaker 1 (23:15):
Do I take?

Speaker 2 (23:16):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (23:16):
Here's what I'm between Josh Jacobs or Deafante Smith. Am
I gonna have Cdey, Lamb, Mike Evans and Davante? No
thought about going Laporta here for you, and iowas I
am very much thinking about it, and I pray he's
gonna get back to me in the next red. I
might lose out on that. I want that so bad.
And Kelsey, I'm pulling DeVante Smith. I liked DJ Moore
a ton there at like DK Metcalf, but that offense.

(23:39):
There's been some staffs floating around about what the slot
receiver can do for the Eagles coming up in twenty
twenty four. A. J. Brown's there, Dotson's there, auto picked.
I'm good for that right there. I think that's a
solid three right there with Lamb, Evans and Smith. I
got no running backs though, right now.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
That's one of those things I might I might have
a few. I might have a few for you, all right,
So as I look here, again the auto pictures. I
hate it because you never know what they would have
really done.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
C J.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
Stroud just came off the board. If did Jalen Hurts
already go?

Speaker 1 (24:12):
I don't think hurt Allen? Would you Jackson?

Speaker 2 (24:15):
Would you go Jalen Hurts if he was there when
you came back around? Get the wrap around with Devonte Smith? Yes,
if there's you who took him, you got him all right,
all right, at least a Packer fan got him out.
Jalen Hurts just came off the board. So so don't
have to work. You don't have to think too hard
about that. Thank you. That's good.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
I would have thought about it though. On the wrap around?

Speaker 2 (24:38):
Are there any more auto drafts between me and no? Okay,
so everybody in front of me is going to actually
make their own picks. That makes me happy because I've
got a lot of that. Like, I think some some
interesting things could could fall into place for me here.
I just don't want to go quarterback this early, but
I mean there are some quarterbacks they'll sit and everybody's
running on them kef the board.

Speaker 1 (24:59):
Do you think of what's that beeping?

Speaker 2 (25:01):
Nice?

Speaker 1 (25:01):
Do you think about molik neighbors here? A rookie wide
receiver or is a too unproven for you? Probably my
next way around sam La Porter just came off the board.
I'd love to get my hands on DJ Moore, but
he is the next one and they just took him.
So all right, So I'm this is where it gets
a little tough for me because I like a lot
of these players right here. I do like Milak Neighbors
a lot.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
I don't know what I want to do. I don't
know what I want to do.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
You have forty five seconds rejected? Is the best? Dk Medcalf,
Stefon Diggs, Amari Cooper, Tank, Dell Kelsey still on the
board that.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
Do the do the Jim Rown thing for me?

Speaker 1 (25:36):
Tony Romo, Yeah, oh, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
Jim.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
What's he gonna do. He's got quarterbacks on the board,
He's got.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
The bar and give me a rookie. Let's go. He's going,
Mylak Neighbors, let's do it number one.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
We didn't mention that on today's show. How about that
we got a little storyline the first time a numbers
been unretired for the first time in nearly eighty years.
Mylik Neighbors will wear the number one is he got
permission from the family to rock that. I've gone completely
different on my pick. I used to have issues with
that because the level of a answer swagger. But if
the family says okay, I got no beef with it,

(26:10):
we didn't have it. Collect dust if you want to
have the legacy honor.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
For somebody off the board.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
So right now after we're getting close to about signing off,
here about ninety seconds away from signing off, Lavak's gonna
have another pick before we get But my team after
a fourteen round, three rounds, I have Seedy Lamb, Mike Evans,
and DeVante Smith. Lavac right now has Molik neighbors Saquon Barkley,
and he's got another opportunity to pick up another player.
He's looking at who I want, but I don't know

(26:37):
who's watching me. He's looking at Chris Sarry, sales guy
yelt something out. He's looking at Waddle. Why to help
him charge his phone? Why to help him charge his phone?
I never should have done it. Kelsey is off the board,
so he's potentially Leavak looking at a quarterback and he
likes one. But Digg's flowers pickings keep I know I want.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
I know who I want.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
I think we're gonna get it before we sign off.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
Here too, we'll get because auto draft in the way,
So Jalen Wattle will finally come off the board one
way or the other. Lamar Jackson and Maari Cooper are
sitting there. I'm gonna get a choice that I don't
I don't love the running back situation in Tampa.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
You don't like Rashad Way.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
I mean I like him, I don't love him, especially
you said I already have running backs I like. I
would hate to let some good wide receivers go by
considering that. I think you know, I think I'm better
off with what I already have than what he could add.
Dak Press got off the board. Ryln Waddle off the board.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
So Levac, you are gonna get the final pick before
we gotta sign off. What's your thought process right now?

Speaker 2 (27:37):
Zay Flowers, we both hate Antonio Brown and I think
he's gonna explode this year. Give me Zay Flowers. Everybody there,
you go there.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
It is an absolute animal at Boston College. If you
remember the z Flower story, he said offered millions of
dollars to potentially leave Boston College. And said, Na, Na,
I'm staying here. And now you've got two wide receivers,
you've got flowers, you've got neighbors, and you've got Barkley
in your backfield. So that's where a lot roster looks like.
I've got Ceedee Lamb, Mike Evans, and Devandi Smith.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
So you got you have three solid solid wide.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
Receivers, three solid wide receivers, and I've got one in
the flex right now. I could potentially fire off a
fourth wide receiver.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
I do at some point, Fergus, are you just taking
every cowboy over there?

Speaker 1 (28:27):
Lamar Jackson's off the board for me. I got Joe
Burrow if I want him.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
I got kind of theatre.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
I got Jordan Love. I don't love the running backs
that are left good.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
Tomorrow we are alive. From the Saratoga Race chorus. It
is the It's the final chance for guys to try
to get a race named after him. Uh. Something tells
me I win that one as well. I have a
bigger lead in that one than I did in this one,
didn't I Yes, that's coming up tomorrow. I want to
thank everybody here at Rivers always great. Inside Van Slex
we always have a blast war here. We will be
back for the NFL season on Sunday morning. Stay tuned

(28:57):
for full details. We are your home for the New
York Football Jets, and I am building a championship roster
right here. That's it. Gods, we gotta get out of here.

the Rangers.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
Secret swings and belts one deep to right field.

Speaker 5 (29:24):
This one is way back and backpool is history. Cory
Seger with his two I'm drift career home run, his
thirtieth of the years, and it's one nothing Texas in.

Speaker 4 (29:35):
