seven to ten WR, the voice of New York iHeartRadio.
I'm your host, Zenzam's in our seven ten WR monthly
book feature brought to you by your Home TV and
Kathy Ireland worldwide. Today, we're diving into one of the
most important topics and pressing issues of our time, loneliness,
affecting people across all ages and backgrounds.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
Loneliness has become an.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
All too common and seemingly ever rising challenge in today's world,
with many feeling isolated and struggling to find valuable human connections.
The iconic therapist, doctor Ruth Westmeyer's final book, The Joy
of Connections One Hundred Ways to Beat Loneliness and Live
a happier and more meaningful life, offers an urgent guy

(05:00):
to combat loneliness with one hundred ways to increase connectivity
right now, based on insights from her life story and
her unparalleled career. Today, we're joined by Doctor Ruth's two
co authors, Alison Gilbert and Pierre Leihew. Allison is an
Emmy Award winning journalist and one of the most influential
writers and speakers on how to find the inner resources

(05:23):
to overcome life's biggest challenges.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
Alison is also.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
Founder of pub Day, a boutique literary consultancy that helps
emerging and established writers find community and realize their book
publishing goals. Pierre has authored and co authored thirty published books,
twenty two of which with doctor Ruth. Originally working in
public relations, he collaborated with doctor Ruth for four decades,

(05:47):
spanning back to nineteen eighty one when she just had
a fifteen minute taped radio.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Show, Wow, how we have come full circle?

Speaker 4 (05:56):
They joined me today to discuss how their book addresses
the loneliness epidemic and the key to cultivating deeper, more
fulfilling connections with others.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
Welcome to the show, superstars. Oh, it's so great to
be here.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
Yeah, that's the goal, Alison Pierre. Thank you so much
for joining. Alison, let's start with you. So, this book
focuses on battling the importance of human connections and overcoming loneliness.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
With Surgeon General Vivic Murphy.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
Sounding the alarm that loneliness represents an urgent public health
concern in twenty twenty three, warning that one into adults
in America are living with measurable levels of loneliness, with
the numbers even higher among young people. Why do you
believe the messages in this book are more relevant and
important than ever today?

Speaker 3 (06:42):
And what do you hope readers take away from it?

Speaker 5 (06:44):
It is really hard to admit that you don't have
the kind of friends that you most want. It's a
lot of shame can bubble up when you try to
establish a romania connection, and for some reason, over and
over and over again, those relationships don't withstand date two,

(07:09):
date three. It just crumbles. And so if you are
left feeling like you are not engaging with the people
that are making you feel whole and seen, you probably
don't want to raise your hand to say, you know what,
I'm lonely. But that's exactly what we have to do.
We have to look in the mirror and decide what

(07:31):
is it about how we are presenting ourselves that may
be to blame, that may be worth looking at more closely,
so we can really determine how we can move forward
with the kinds of relationships that make us feel seen,
heard and valued.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
That's great perspective, very very well said.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
Now, Pierre, I know that while doctor Ruth has been
long beloved for her candid demeanor and breaking sticks was
around sex and sexuality.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
She pivoted her focus in her final years.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
To look deeper into loneliness, and this book is deeply
anchored by her own experiences and story. Now, as someone
who knew and worked closely with the great doctor Ruth
for over four decades, can you tell us more about
how this book pulls from the loneliness she faced in
her own life.

Speaker 6 (08:21):
Well, it's started when she was only ten years old
and her mother and grandmother put her on her train
from Nazi Germany to Switzerland to escape the Holocaust, and
that so she lived in for six years. She lived
in an orphanage, and she went to then Palestine and
was badly wounded in a bomb explosion and thought to herself,

(08:45):
am I going to die? And how much lonelier can
you feel?

Speaker 7 (08:48):
In that?

Speaker 6 (08:49):
She was married thirty times, divorce twice. Her last husband
passed away again after thirty five years of marriage, and
again she based loneliness. And so she recognized loneliness and
knew how to be dealt with. And in the years
that I knew were after her husband Fred passedly, she

(09:11):
was out every single long night if she didn't have
a dinner day or some friends to hang out with.
Or whatever her business meaning she would take herself to
Link and Center, go to the box office and say
what do you have going on today? And she would
do something. She wouldn't stay home alone. She always gave
herself the opportunities to meet other people.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
I love her approach to life.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
It was it's unique to see the footprint she's left
and the legacy she continues to leave. Now, Allison, let's
talk about some of the valuable lessons and strategies suggested
in this very book. So before diving into anything specific,
readers are first presented with doctor Ruth's Menu for Connection,
which represents the parts of our life that require the

(09:56):
most care and attention for building and nurturing these meaningful
relationships and upon developing one hundred ideas and strategies to
overcome loneliness and form meaningful connections.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
Eighty eight of them are divided into.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
The five categories on her menu self, family, friends and lovers,
and community and technology, the largest and most important portion
being self.

Speaker 8 (10:19):
Can you explain why first evaluating yourself, your behavior, and
your outlook is so important before taking steps towards the
actual positive change in how you interact with others?

Speaker 3 (10:32):
Well, here's an.

Speaker 5 (10:33):
Example, if you go around every single day posting online
and in your conversations. We are a selfie culture. But
if you in person keep talking only about yourself and
your accomplishments and maybe even what's wrong in your life
right now, but you don't even take a breath to say,

(10:53):
what's going on with you? I remember you had this problem?
Whatever happened to that. If you don't ask questions and
wait for the answers, it is a really lopsided relationship.
There's nothing for that other person to latch on to,
and so you might be depriving yourself of these connections

(11:16):
that we're talking about based on your lack of interest
in other people. And that's really hard to admit. There
is some tough love in this conversation about social connection.
Another piece of this, by the way, is are you
prioritizing your connections or are you scrolling for hours and

(11:41):
not leaving your couch. The truth of the matter is,
no one is going to come knock on your door.
The red carpet is not going to unfurl to your doorstep.
You have to have the inclination to get up, walk
out that door and engage, and it's up to you.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
To do that proactive work.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
Now, let's shift our focus to a major contributor to
the loneliness epidemic, social media. Okay, So while social media
has in theory made us more connected than ever, it
brings along its own set of problems, leading to increased
levels of loneliness in its users. So why do you
think social media has such a paradoxal effect connecting people

(12:26):
yet also fostering isolation And how can can we really
combat this?

Speaker 3 (12:32):
Pierre? I'd love your perspective on this.

Speaker 6 (12:34):
Well, I'm going to start with a personal story. I
lost my wife with thirty five years a couple of
years agovernment and I have a new lady friend and
she's from New Orleans and so she has this very
cute Southern accent. So when we're together, I got to
enjoy that. When we're texting, that disappears. I mean, over
the one hundred thousand years of humanity, we've learned to

(12:58):
look at body language, looking our eyes. There are so
many signs that we give each other that are not
just in a text. It's not just something you can
call boy. And so if you're only reacting to people
on this one dimensional way, we're not fully connecting with them,
and if you're not fully connecting with them, then you're

(13:20):
not really Then you stay lonely. Then you feel that
you end the conversation even though it's tight, and you
don't feel better about anything, and it doesn't feel natural.
As human beings, we are meant to talk face to
face and communicate with our hands and our eyes and

(13:40):
and our lips and every other part. Just the way
you stand, are you slouching? Are you looking stern all?
That's so important. Social media wipes that off.

Speaker 4 (13:51):
Couldn't agree more. Social media totally wipes that off, and
it's smoking mirrors in many ways, Like we were speaking
behind the stage before we got on that a lot
of the time, it's not everything that glitters as gold,
and people tend to judge a book by its cover, unfortunately,
and that's what smoking Mirrors is and social media is

(14:11):
all about.

Speaker 6 (14:12):
Now.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
While co authoring this book with doctor Ruth, were there
any standout moments during the development and writing process and
what was the most profound lesson on loneliness and connectivity
you took away from the experience.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
Allison, you can go first.

Speaker 5 (14:28):
I love this question because I felt by working with
doctor Ruth. I was in a master class of how
to fully engage in my relationships, and I remember I
had a birthday during this time, and doctor Ruth reminded
me that a birthday could be all about me and

(14:50):
just waiting on the receiving end of my friends to
show up and you know, fet me with drinks and
dinner and for me to be center of attention. But
there was this other way of approaching a birthday, and
I will never forget this is to use my birthday
as a way of thanking my friends for being in

(15:12):
my life. And I spent an entire birthday. I created
an entire day where the focus was on them and
my gratitude for what they bring to my life. And
it's an important lesson to make sure that you are
communicating what those people who are in your life mean

(15:36):
to you. And when you do that, you have the
opportunity to strengthen your connection. And that's a lesson that
I will never forget.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
So true, Pierre, how about you?

Speaker 6 (15:48):
Well, this was the twenty sixth book that I've written
with doctor Ruth. This is the first book there was
an actual co author that I was working with on
an almost daily basis.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
I e.

Speaker 6 (15:58):
Allison. So it You know, writing is a lonely job
most of the time, and here it wasn't as lonely. Yes,
when you're actually at the computer, you're lonely, but you're
into it. But you had somebody to go back and
forth year to discuss things. And so this whole experience
was a way to lessen my loneliness. And again, as

(16:21):
I said, I'd lost my wife. So having someone when
you act with.

Speaker 4 (16:24):
It to me to be able to look back in
retrospect and tell yourself sitting in Pierre and Allison's shoes
that you got to at first hand experience, learn, connect
and interact with the great doctor Ruth. That end of
itself is so impressive because she still is a brilliant mind.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
Yes, but the peer what you just said was so powerful.
Everything that the book was about played out.

Speaker 4 (16:52):
For you by virtue of meeting Alison, and everything she
preached you put into motion by now having this co author,
turning writing into more of a dual process than a
than a solitary one.

Speaker 6 (17:06):
Yeah, let me add you said that doctor Ruth was
still around. Well, really I met as it turned out,
when we met and were talking and she had a
doctor Ruth connection. She owned the store and doctor Ruth
would go there all the time to buy a doll
house one or two. So the two of us believed
that it was doctor Ruth working from above together.

Speaker 4 (17:26):
Oh, one hundred per I mean, it's it's not that's
without a doubt, that's without a doubt.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
Well, we are at the end of this incredible, incredible interview.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
I could go on and on, but this was just
a feature, and I could definitely have you back on
to talk more and to really just kind of you know,
figure out where where the where the narrative needs to
be for this generation to peel them back off of
the me me me, really just dive into the service
of others, right, and not just about focusing on just

(17:56):
what it What do I get out of this equation,
which I think is part of the problem in today society.

Speaker 5 (18:02):
I agree one hundred percent. It's purpose, it's finding meaning
beyond yourself. And so the idea that you want to
revisit this that is exactly what doctor Ruth would want
you to do. And so thank you for doing that.
It's so important and your voice in this conversation is transformative.

(18:24):
So we're so grateful Well.

Speaker 4 (18:26):
That was the seven ten WR book feature of the month,
and that was the incredible Alison Gilbert Emmy Award winning journalist,
author and speaker and longtime collaborator of Doctor Ruth and
author Pierre Lee, who you definitely have to pick up

(20:09):
talking about a queen.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
Literally.

Speaker 4 (20:11):
My guest is the unstoppable Kelsey Watts, a powerhouse vocalist
and viral sensation with over one hundred million views.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
Across social media.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
You know her from the Voice, where her jaw dropping
audition landed her on Team Kelly Clarkson, and from her
original music, where she blends pop storytelling and vocal mastery.
But now she's trading viral covers for a crown playing
Jane Seymour in Broadway's global sensation six.

Speaker 8 (20:38):
This isn't just a musical, It's a movement.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
Six remixes history, turning the famous wives of Henry the
Eighth into pop icons, giving them a voice outside.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
Of their husband's shadow. We all love this.

Speaker 4 (20:50):
With a Tony winning score and a cult following, this
show is redefining Broadway for the twenty first century.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
So welcome you on to the show. Is the amazing,
the incredible of all.

Speaker 8 (21:00):
Kelsey Watts, welcome superstar.

Speaker 4 (21:02):
Hi.

Speaker 10 (21:03):
How are you so excited to have you here? Oh
my gosh, I'm so excited to be here. This is amazing.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
Okay, dream come true.

Speaker 4 (21:08):
I heard headquarters right here in the city, just a
couple of blocks from where you perform every single night.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
What's it like to play a.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
Queen, command a stage night after night and balance Broadway
with a skyrocketing music career?

Speaker 3 (21:20):
I mean, top my word.

Speaker 10 (21:21):
The amount of answers to that question, Holy cow. I
still like don't believe I'm here. The facts that I'm
even on Broadway like blows my mind. And to be
able to like mix my music and like do like
pop music and put that on a Broadway stage is
the coolest thing ever.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
It is epic and you're no stranger yeah to the spotlight.

Speaker 4 (21:43):
I mean, you've dominated social media, performed on the voice,
and built this incredible career in pop music. But six
is next level. It's it's not just a show, it's
a global phenomenon. And the music is truly bold, the
energy is high, and each queen is a force of
her own. So what drew you to six? And what
does playing Jane Seymore mean to you?

Speaker 10 (22:04):
I mean crazy enough. The way that I even came
across Six is I was doing a gig and the
musical director came up to me at the meet and
greet and handed me her card and said, Hey, I'm
casting for this Broadway show and I would love to chat.
I was like, Okay, had no idea that she was
the actual musical director for six the musical, And that's
how I got introduced to it, and I fell in

(22:26):
love immediately. And Heart of Stone was actually one of
the first songs I listened to from the West End
cast and was like, oh my gosh, I would die
to play.

Speaker 11 (22:35):
This one day. And crazy enough here I am.

Speaker 10 (22:37):
But being able to sing a song like that every
single night is such a gift. Like you have this massive,
high energy and you're getting the audience like super hyped up,
and then I feel like I bring my song in
and it kind of gives the audience a second to
just stand back and absorb what they're watching and what
they're listening to.

Speaker 11 (22:55):
And you have this person who you.

Speaker 10 (22:58):
Know is scared to be vulner like as Jane Seymour was,
she was never allowed to be vulnerable, and then just
show like her emotions and the end of the song
is really just her like letting loose, which means I
get to sing my face off, and you know, it's
kind of just a way to emote that. So playing
somebody like Jane Seymour, who I think her characters often misunderstood.

(23:19):
Whenever I first was introduced to her, I was like,
I don't understand, and then I did a lot of
research on her and understood She's actually I think one
of the strongest like people. She's so like she's like
kind of awkward, which is really fun for me to
lean into because I'm.

Speaker 11 (23:34):
Kind of awkward, and I mean, she just has.

Speaker 10 (23:38):
This like very controlled strength that I think really a
lot of people can can relate to for sure, you.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
Are so spot on.

Speaker 4 (23:46):
It's so much more than just her story, I think.
I think it's many women's story, absolutely.

Speaker 3 (23:51):
You know, and it's incredible.

Speaker 4 (23:52):
It's one thing to sing a song, but it's another
to make people feel it. Yep, and you you feel
every note. So I love that chat about the power
of a viral moment. So going beyond the stage, right, Yeah,
So you're a Broadway star, undeniable Broadway star, but your
reach goes far beyond just the Broadway stage.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
Your viral covers.

Speaker 4 (24:10):
Have been seen by millions, and your take on the
Voice stage still gets shared today. But going viral isn't
just about talent. It's about understanding how to connect with
people through music, which is what you do. What do
you think makes a performance go viral? And how has
social media helped shape your career?

Speaker 3 (24:27):
Wow?

Speaker 10 (24:28):
Social media has helped me astronomically. Just I think half
of the battle with artists is visibility and getting people
to just see you or listen to you because there's
so many other incredible talents out there, And so whenever
I was doing covers, I just decided one day to
stop trying as funny as that sounds, and just to
sing songs that I like that I enjoyed. And so

(24:50):
one day I was in my kitchen literally making coffee
and just started singing Whitney Houston and my husband Brandon
was like, oh my gosh, we have to film this.

Speaker 11 (24:58):
So we set up his phone in my phone, and
that's just where it started.

Speaker 10 (25:02):
It took off, and I discovered people my audience specifically,
really enjoy just seeing me be me and have fun
and sing the songs that I love to sing, and
that just happens to be you know, artists that are
really popular like Whitney Houston and Celine Dion and Mariah
Carey and these people that have made music so iconic
that people have been able to relate to for years
and years and years.

Speaker 3 (25:23):
That's so true.

Speaker 4 (25:24):
Yeah, it's about relatability and authenticity because people can feel
when an artist is real, and that's exactly what makes
your performance is so powerful. Now, let's talk about the
secret weapon of a pop star. Your classical training. So
people hear your voice and think pop powerhouse, but what
they might not know is that you actually trained in
opera and studied vocal performance at Belmont University. That's a

(25:45):
major secret weapon when it comes to tackling big songs,
whether it's Broadway or pop. How has your classical training
influenced your approach to both pop and musical theater.

Speaker 10 (25:54):
I honestly owe so much of my technique to opera.
It's the reason that I can sing like I do
now healthily and not have any like vocal issues. So
even in the show, I get to hit a couple
of whistle notes in my song, and that comes from opera,
from me doing color of tourist stuff back in college,
and I still use it for warm ups, and it

(26:14):
just gives you like a really solid foundation to be
able to then apply to all kinds of other genres.

Speaker 4 (26:20):
That makes so much sense. It's why your vocals have
so much depth. There's technique, control, and emotion all wrapped
into one.

Speaker 11 (26:27):
Oh thank you all right?

Speaker 4 (26:28):
Moving on to female empowerment, So from pop anthems to
queens taking over Broadway right six is the ultimate girl
power musical, and your original.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
Music follows that same energy.

Speaker 4 (26:38):
Your song look what You Missed is an anthem and
now you're literally playing a queen reclaiming her story.

Speaker 11 (26:45):
I know, it's crazy. It's so crazy.

Speaker 4 (26:48):
How does a female empowerment shape your music and your
role in six a big part of just my story.

Speaker 11 (26:54):
The more people will get to know me, the more
you'll kind of learn.

Speaker 10 (26:57):
But is just finding yourself outside of any kind of relationship,
outside of accomplishments or like anything like that. It's just
being confident in who you are and loving yourself no
matter what. And so the next song I actually have
coming out is called fit In, and it's literally about like,
why are you trying to fit in when you already do?

(27:18):
Like it's giving people that hope and like letting them know, No,
you're already cool, No, you already are amazing, Like you're
already awesome.

Speaker 11 (27:24):
No, you do have a place that you belong. And
so I think for.

Speaker 10 (27:28):
Me, just as an artist, giving people a place where
they feel safe and they're excited to have fun and
they feel like it's cool to be themselves is super
super important and it's super special to me.

Speaker 4 (27:39):
I love that, whether it's through your lyrics or on stage,
you're proving that women's voices matter in history and in music.

Speaker 8 (27:46):
Now, let's talk about the healing power of music.

Speaker 4 (27:47):
So writing through grief, some of your music is about celebration,
but some of it also comes from deeply personal experiences.
Your song I Can't Say Goodbye about the sudden loss
of your brother has resonated with so many who have
experienced grief personally. I lost my dad in twenty sixteen
when my daughter Alexa was born, and I heard the
song and it moved me to tears. How did writing

(28:08):
that song help you heal? And what do you hope
others take away from it?

Speaker 10 (28:13):
Gosh, well, I'm so sorry if you're a loss, and
it's such a blessing to hear that it helped, that
it helped you, that it can help anybody. The way
that I wrote that song is I was literally in
my apartment playing the piano and I just started crying
and writing down whatever came out. And that's how this
song was just born to be, and that emotion I

(28:34):
wanted other people to be able to feel, to know
they're not alone. So like it's helped me process because
I feel like it gives purpose to the pain. You know,
like bad things happen, things are hard, we all go
through different like trials, and this song and music has
given me the ability to share that experience and to

(28:54):
share love and to let people know like we can
all get through it together. So it's definitely one of
the most special songs that I have, and I wrote
it in a way to where anybody that's lost someone
can relate to.

Speaker 3 (29:06):
Oh yeah, no, I totally agree to that. That's so powerful.

Speaker 4 (29:10):
I mean, music is healing and sharing your story is
helping others feel less alone.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
That's what real artistry is about.

Speaker 11 (29:16):
Yeah, So what's.

Speaker 3 (29:17):
Next for Kelsey Watts. You've done the voice, built a.

Speaker 4 (29:19):
Massive online following, dropped the original music, and now you're
slaying on Broadway.

Speaker 3 (29:24):
Crazy.

Speaker 4 (29:24):
I mean, twenty twenty five is already your year, but
I have a feeling there's more coming.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
Oh what's next for you?

Speaker 4 (29:29):
Can you give us a sneak peek at any upcoming
music or projects?

Speaker 11 (29:33):
Yeah, I mean even being on Broadway has blown my mind.

Speaker 10 (29:36):
So, yeah, twenty twenty five is insane and I'm here
with you like which is incredible. But I have new
music coming out. I'm going to keep writing and recording
while I'm here in New York. There's like live shows
that are going to happen outside of Broadway just for
my own stuff, And I mean it's It's gonna be

your host, Zenzam's up next in the Going Deep segment,
brought to you by Co two Lift. Today, we're joined
by Chelsea Richard, a former TV and red carpet makeup
artist turned top tier seven figure medical aesthetic distributor, keynote speaker, author,

(32:15):
and identity transformation coach.

Speaker 3 (32:17):
So impressive, She's passionate about.

Speaker 4 (32:19):
Living magically and advocating for sustainable leadership. She helps high
level professionals redefine success from the inside out through her
private coaching, monthly membership nectar, and her public speaking impressively.
In twenty twenty four, fab World Today recognized her as
one of the ten women making Waves across industries. She's

(32:40):
also a brand ambassador and rep for the one and
only CO two Lift carboxygel for the.

Speaker 3 (32:45):
Face, body, and even your skin down there.

Speaker 4 (32:48):
She's going to join me today to chat all about
CO two Lifts, specifically CO two Lift V for vaginal rejuvenation.
It's powerful benefits and transformative effects.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
Welcome to the show, Superstaries in. I'm so happy to
be here, so excited to have you on. So let's
dive right in. This is my favorite topic.

Speaker 4 (33:06):
As a former TV and Red cart butet makeup artist,
you've seen firsthand the importance of flawless, healthy, and more
importantly hydrated skin. That's key a passion that clearly continues
in your work as a.

Speaker 3 (33:18):
Medical aesthetics distributor. How did you first discover Co two Lift?

Speaker 4 (33:23):
And I want to know what stood out about their
products that motivated you to become involved with this particular brand.

Speaker 7 (33:30):
I was in the injectable space and I saw this
gel kind of come across and I saw the before
and after results, and having been a makeup artist, I
was like, the skin looks so impressive, Like I couldn't
get over how amazing the skin looked like almost as
if they had had injectibles, And I was so impressed.
And then I saw Laana and we connected at a show,

(33:54):
had a couple of conversations, and then shortly after that
I was distributing for the product, and the product have
just been so impressive. The results are so impressive that
the number of people wanting to bring the products.

Speaker 12 (34:07):
On board are large. And I am a byproduct of
the product.

Speaker 7 (34:12):
I use the products myself and see major results in
my skin. My husband uses the masks, and being half
Indian half American, no longer having inburn hairs in his
neck area after he shaves has been unbelievable for him
and transformative. So it's a product use in our own home,
and I can't say enough good things about it.

Speaker 4 (34:32):
I echo your sentiment. Now, let's chat specifically about CO
two lift V. When we think of skincare, we often
focus on our face, often overlooking other parts of the body,
like our skin down there.

Speaker 8 (34:43):
And this becomes especially important as we begin to age, with.

Speaker 4 (34:47):
Over half of post metopausal women aged between fifty one
and sixty suffering from vaginal dryness. And I'm going to
say that the numbers even skew a little bit lower right,
And this is where.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
CO two lift V can help.

Speaker 4 (35:00):
It's a painless, effective treatment with no real downtime, addresses
vaginal dryness, urinary issues, discomfort during intercourse, vaginal laxity, and I.

Speaker 3 (35:10):
Mean the list goes on and on and on.

Speaker 4 (35:12):
Chelsea is both a rep and someone who has personally
used COO two lift the what sets it apart from
other vaginal rejuvenation treatments on the market and can you
share your own experience with the product for sure?

Speaker 7 (35:24):
You know, I think I want to echo back what
you said in the sense of you said that you
think that that number it would even be a bit skewed.
I have no problem saying this and owning this. That
turned forty five in January, and I can definitely speak
to the unbelievable results of co two V from a
standpoint of drastic change and improvement in vaginal dryness. Prior

(35:48):
to being in my partnership now and in my marriage now,
I was in a very unsafe relationship for almost a decade.
And when you are in an unsafe relationship, you are
going to experience vaginal dryness where you don't feel safe,
and that takes years and years psychologically to recover, but
also for the body and so being in a safe relationship,

(36:09):
it is unbelievably embarrassing, humiliating, and devastating when you are
not able to experience the level of sexual pleasure that
you would like to in a relationship when your body
is not able to produce a level of lubrication that
you would like to experience, and that was something that
I was encountering for years. There was a shame, there
was an embarrassment that came around that. And the moment

(36:33):
co TWOV came into the picture and I tried it,
I immediately saw a change in vaginal dryness. But it
also changed my menstrual cycle unbelievably. It changed my period
pain like nothing else. I had the most debilitating periods
for years after turning thirty five. It would affect my travel,
it would affect pretty much every area of my life.

(36:55):
I would be in excruciating pain, projectile vomiting, passed out,
it was so bad. After doing ten treatments of COTV,
I have not thrown up or passed out in a
year and a half. And so I have many many
people that I've shared that story with and girls that
have been able to experience reduction in period pain, minstrel

(37:16):
cycle pain, and naturally an improvement in your sex life
and in librication issues. And that's just a summed up
version of what my experience has been.

Speaker 12 (37:26):
It is COTWOV has literally changed my life.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
Wow, that was it.

Speaker 4 (37:30):
Heads down in all of my years of doing the
expert on the microphone segment, specifically for this product. The
best most honest, transparent and emotional testimonial I've heard on
that product, and I love how honest you were about
really giving us some insight there. So thank you for that.

(37:50):
Now now I know going beyond COO to lift these
monotherapy benefits. It can also be used in conjunction with
other procedures such as lasers, vaginoplasts, or labiaplastis to minimize
both downtime, downtime and discomfort post procedure, which is the
most important thing for women using CO two lift V

(38:10):
as a standalone treatment or to heal from a more
invasive procedure. Can you briefly just kind of describe the
application process, how quickly users typically see results, and how
often CO two lift V should be used for say
optimal benefits.

Speaker 7 (38:27):
For sure, you know, I think from a I'll speak
like surgically and preparation. I will never speak on behalf
of a surgeon, but I'll tell you what my surgeons
are saying. I call on some of the top you
know Libya Plastic Badge of plasty surgeons in the Nation,
and some of the things that they're doing is using
it to.

Speaker 12 (38:42):
Prep the tissue for surgery.

Speaker 7 (38:45):
So I would say I would look at at least
five treatments to prep for that. If you're going to
go do a vaginal laser treatment of any kind, I
would also say, if possible, I would look at pre treating,
or I would look at pre utilizing the before they
have any form of laser device or surgical treatments, so

(39:06):
that the tissue is better prepared. For the average woman.
This is what I would say, you're going to need
to do at least five treatments. The clinical data is
on ten, so when you look at the published studies,
those are done on ten treatments. So I like women
to very much understand that you're not going to be
able to do one treatment and have the results of

(39:28):
what somebody that's done ten treatments has experienced. As a
person using this product, I can say I saw optimal
results after doing ten treatments, and my sort of protocol
because I was a woman that was navigating vaginal dryness,
I was experiencing post sex pain, and I had debilitating periods.

(39:50):
I after doing the ten, I do one right before
minstrual cycle. And I do one right after. So I
do them fortnightly and I will not go with a
doing them fortnitely. And depending on the woman's you know,
issues and her history, she may need more or less.
But I would say the average woman is going to
need to do somewhere between five to ten airing more

(40:12):
on ten and then at least doing one a month
to maintain those results, if not too and applications very easy.
People ask me if it's messy, It's no messier than
a period, and I like to sleep in it. So
I'll remove the outside that's in a volva area after
forty five minutes, and I'll sleep I'll sleep in it overnight,
and it's going to come out when you It's going

(40:32):
to come out when you be a bathroom.

Speaker 12 (40:33):
It's very easy.

Speaker 3 (40:35):
Well, thank you again for honesty and transparency.

Speaker 4 (40:39):
This is often such an uncomfortable conversation with many women,
you know, hesitating to talk about intimate health and consequently
not getting the help they need.

Speaker 3 (40:47):
To improve both their physical health and quality of life.

Speaker 4 (40:50):
And clearly, as someone who speaks to many providers and
women focused on improving vaginal health, you have a very
very full approach to these conversations to help break the stigma,
which I love and something I love about the product.
That's how it's regenitive. Utilizing the power of carbon dioxide

(41:11):
to naturally trigger the increase in oxygen and blood supply
that in turn increases hydration and elasticity and then of
course thickens the epithelium and overall improves functionality. The sciences,
the sciences, the science. I say to people, this product
is clinically verified, clinically researched, not just by a few,
but by many top KOLs in the industry right surrounding

(41:33):
Wilds from the Mayo Clinics. She's a huge fan and
for yourself right as a medical aesthetics distributor with an
understanding of the CO two, of these powerful benefits, not
just benefits, but like you said, life changing powerful benefits
but achieved naturally is what I love and non invasively.
It has really impacted the industry in such a way,

(41:55):
and I have personally seen firsthand professionals approach into while
in this very differently as a result of this product.
Now friend and providers listening right now her thinking about
incorporating the CO two lift products into their practice, even
the CO two lift V or anyone even hesitant about
trying them.

Speaker 3 (42:14):
What's your message?

Speaker 7 (42:15):
What I tell my accounts and what I would tell
anybody listening, is that these are products they're going to
do exactly what they say they're going to do. You're
going to sell more of your laser treatments for going
to do more of what you enjoy doing, because your
patients are going to have the results. The products speak
for themselves. I don't have to convince anybody that this
product does what it says it's going to do. You know,

(42:35):
in forty five minutes, you can look at a deep
wrinkle and see a reduction in that deep wrinkle. You know,
a woman can have intimacy after one to two treatments
at CO two V and there is a drastic change
and the type of lubrication that she's experiencing. You know,
it's not that fake lube type of type of feeling.
I just it's they are phenomenal products. And there are

(42:58):
very few companies out there that I can say every
product in their line you will use and they will
benefit you, and this is one of them. I've always
been a cherry picker, and so to be able to
look at an entire line and say they actually all
do what they say they're going to do and you're
going to have unbelievable results. Is pretty impressive. And then
to anybody looking to bring on you know, a product

(43:21):
like CO two V, one of the number one things
that I say to my accounts is please do not
take women's power away. It is not up to you
to decide whether or not a woman would pick this
product off the shelf. Like we project so much onto women,
you know, I'm embarrassed or you think they're embarrassed. And

(43:41):
I think the reason why I speak the way that
I do and so candidly, is because I want people
to know what does vaginal dryness looks like?

Speaker 12 (43:48):
It looks like me. It looks like Chelsea Richard, That's
what it looks like.

Speaker 7 (43:51):
That's and if I can help you better understand what
women navigate and go through, I think it helps providers
understand that women are gonna comelt for this product. Like
women are looking for this product, they just don't know
where to find it. So don't take away their power
by speaking on their behalf when they haven't had a
chance to show up to the table.

Speaker 3 (44:10):
Right there you go, exactly.

Speaker 4 (44:12):
Well, thank you so much for such an incredible and
very honest and intimate interview.

Speaker 3 (44:18):
I truly appreciate having you on my dear Thank you, Zin.
It was such a great time.

Speaker 4 (44:22):

Speaker 12 (46:01):
Hi everyone, this is doctor Days.

Speaker 3 (46:03):
I am.

Speaker 12 (46:03):
I'm a board certified cosmetic surgeon based righting in Houston, Texas.
Ozympic phase. When you hear Ozympic phase, you immediately have
this perspective of what it is right well Ozympic is
a g l P one receptor agonist that is very popular.
It's intended for diabetes, but a lot of patients or

(46:23):
not patients or using it for weight loss. So you
have a huge amount of people using ozempic, Wigovi, Monjaro.
They're all in the same family. And then you have
this ocmpic face and we've talked much about it. So
what is the ozmpic phase? Number One, You lose a
lot of fat on your face when you're taking ozympic,
and the fat is concentrated kind of in your mid phase,

(46:46):
your tear troth area and your tempo area. You lose
those fat because the phase is a very small area
of fat, So it's the first, the first to go
when you're taking this medication or supposed.

Speaker 3 (46:58):
To your body.

Speaker 12 (47:00):
When you lose this fad, you just have this overall
stunken look on your face. You will kind of hollow.
Losing fat takes away your youth, you know, because fat
is very important in the face because youthful and vibrant.
So with ozempic, your agent faster and quickly and drastically,
so you have this overall stunken look. The next thing

(47:20):
that it affects is your skin because as a rapid
loss of collagen and elastin, you tend to have excessive
stagging and loose skin that is just easy to stretch
and doesn't really give you that snap fat quality. So
you end up having redundancy of skin and that is
something that obviously most patients don't like that. So and

(47:42):
another thing that happens that you don't really think about
is that you get more wrinkles, and that's because the
texture of the skin is more pronounced, so you have
this dippling and wrinkleated facts. So o Zeppi face comes
with all these other things that you don't worry you
do really sign up for. And side note, guys, if

(48:02):
you're over forty, you tend to have more of this
ozmpic face look, so keep that in mind as you're
taking this medication. And if you're thin in nature and
you're losing weight word ozempic or any of the other medicines,
you tend to look more drastic on your face than
someone that has more excessive fat path. So how do
we treat ozimpic face? What can you do to restore

(48:25):
your face when you have this effect? Number One, volume replacement.
We have to replace volumes. So we start with our
drummer fillers and that's your holleronic acid based fillers. You're
talking about, your jubidim, your wrestling urge collectors. Just basically
put some fillers back into the teartroth in a nasy
labor fole in your cheek area to kind of gives

(48:48):
you back this volume. Then the next thing you can
also consider your bio stimulators. We're talking about sculpture and radius.
This is really helpful to stimulate your body to produce
that collagen and help restore your face to hire us before, okay.
And then we have to address the skin. So your
radiofrequency micronitlin like amorphous aid is very good to pull

(49:10):
the skin contracting each you tightening already. And then we
have non surgical option like a face type which also
uses radiofrequency to help pull the skin in the neck,
the gew, the lower face, so you have them like
a face lift but without a staate lift. Okay, so
that's like your face type procedure. That's very helpful. And
then finally, you know you have to have some good

(49:32):
skin care product to restore the quality of your skins.
You when you get a medical grade skin care product
that has your good stuff to help with your skin.
Those you're like antioxidant and your retino sin it already.
Then you have your surgical option restore fat. If you
lose fat, replace it with fat. So you're talking about

(49:52):
fat transfer to the fax, you know, but you know
the key thing with that is when you're losing all
this weight, more than likely losing your body, so you
don't even have a good fat store for us to
retrieve and replace it in your face. So that's something
to keep in mind. But side transfer is an option. Okay,
Then you have a surgical option with your facelift. You

(50:15):
can be a full face left, a mini face left,
or a lower face lift with a neck lift. So
sergical revision is something that you can actually do to
help with this ozmbic face. All right, Last but not
stain list. You think about your PRPs, your exisons. That's
still very useful. You can do it as a non

(50:36):
sarch co auption or in conjunction with your searg coal option.
And that's something like you're very helpful with an ozmbic face.
But I was cell patient prevention is better than cure.
So if you're going to take an ozentbic or a
counterpart of that nature. Think about store replacing volume while
you're on it, so as you're gradually losing weight, which

(50:59):
is the ideal way to wait with ozimpic, start using
your fillers so that as you're losing weight, you'll restoring volume.
So it's a nice way to keep it carbandized and
not have this drastic look in the journey. Okay, so
keep that in mind. Hydration is very important to your skin,
so that's a good thing to do while you're no zimpic.

(51:19):
Hydrate and then of course increase reporting intake so it

On Purpose with Jay Shetty

I’m Jay Shetty host of On Purpose the worlds #1 Mental Health podcast and I’m so grateful you found us. I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose.
