what inspired her diving passion, makinga career out of jumping off insane heights

(05:24):
and loving it. Welcoming down tothe show is the amazing Molly Carlson.
Welcome superstar. Hello, thank youfor having me. I'm so excited.
Great this, let's dive right inno pun intended love. High diving is
an incredibly intense sport. In fact, high divers jump from heights of up
to twenty seven meters, reaching speedsof over one hundred miles an hour before

(05:47):
hitting the water. So it's goingto be fascinating to hear how you discovered
your passion and made such a uniquecareer choice. Can you tell us about
that moment when you first fell inlove with high diving and decided this is
what I'm to do. Professionals,it's definitely a crazy sport and people ask
me like why do you do this? Probably every single day of my life.
But you know, it started asa regular diver. You know,

(06:11):
springboard and platform diving that you seein the Olympics goes up to ten meters
and I fell in love with thatwhen I was ten years old. I
was jumping off the ten meter likeit was nothing. You know, kind
of fearless, little daredevil, veryvery brave from day one, and then
I you know, got into morecompetitive competitions representing Canada from a really young

(06:33):
age. At eleven, I wastraveling the world representing the Maple Leaf and
the pressure started to climb and Ikind of lost the love for the sport
of regular diving. So when Iwas nearing my you know, end of
career on the ten meter platform,I was like, something's missing, Like
I still want to compete. SoI actually put all my Instagram story should

(06:56):
I be a red Bull Cliff Diiverwhen I retire? And ninety nine percent
of people were like, yes, this would be great for you. And
my mum was the one percent. She was like, please do not job,
Please do not do it. Butyou know, I clearly, in
that moment, realized that so manypeople could see this for me and believe
in me, and I was theonly one holding myself back. So I

(07:18):
finally took the leap and literally tookthe leap. Wow, what an incredible
inspired story. You gave me chills. Now your achievements clearly are truly inspiring.
And for those of you listening guys, did you know that high diving
only became an official FENA World Championshipevent in twenty thirteen, and since then

(07:39):
it has gained a huge following, the thanks, of course, to athletes
like you who pushed the limits, literally pushed the limbits of what's possible.
Now, what has been your mostmemorable experience or achievement in your high diving
career so far? I would saythe first time I ever got a perfect
ten. We were in Ireland andthe waves were crazy this like location was

(08:03):
terrifying, and I looked at mycoach. I was like, no way,
we're jumping into the North Sea.Like it was insane, like three
meter waves, you jump and youdon't know if it's going to be twenty
meters or twenty four meters, likesuper scary environment. But I happened to
put down one of the best divesof my life and made zero splash,
four flips into the ocean. Itwas insane. I came up and I

(08:26):
saw tens and I was like craggingimmediately because my whole diving career as a
kid, I never got a perfectten, and it's probably because I didn't
love what I was doing. Itwasn't until I switched over to high diving.
That you know, I found exactlywhere I wanted to be and I
saw that perfect ten and I waslike, this is this is it for

(08:48):
me? I could cry? Boytalk about raising the bar now. Mental
and physical preparation, of course, are crucial, especially considering that high divers
experienced forces of up to nine g'swhen they hit the water. Girl,
it's impressive to see how you managesuch extreme conditions. How do you prepare

(09:09):
mentally and physically for a dog suchyou know, from such incredible heights.
You're like, why, why doyou do this? How are you ready
for this? No, it's it'sa great question, and I think it's
one of those sports where you haveto be so dialed in mentally. You
cannot do this sport without one hundredpercent mental strength and one hundred percent physical

(09:30):
strength. So for me and mycoach, you know, Stefan Laplaine,
he comes everywhere with me and wetravel the world together and he makes sure.
He's like, if you're not init one hundred percent today to jump
off that scary platform, then we'renot doing it. It's it's better to
say no if you're not in theheadspace because your life's at risk. You're

(09:50):
hitting at one hundred miles an hourwhen you're touching that water. If you're
not perfectly upright, it could goreally bad. So you want to make
sure your one hundred percent in it, and we do a lot of mental
preparation to be in that that healthyspace. I've interviewed so many people,
and you are one of the mostimpressive and women humans that I've interviewed,

(10:15):
and just the most courageous and bravest. Now, the Brave Gang community sounds
amazing. Community support is so importantin sports. Statistics show that athletes with
strong social support networks performed better andare more resilient in the face of setbacks.
True to your story, your audiencetold you to go for the Red
Bull diving team. Now, canyou share more about the Brave Gang brand

(10:39):
and what inspired you to create thiscommunity. I you know, I'm so
passionate about the Brave Gang brand.I started high diving three years ago and
I blew up on social media. All of a sudden, I had millions
and millions of views. They're like, who's this girl jumping out of the
roof in Montreal And the biggest commentwas brave the word brave. She's so

(11:03):
brave. I want to be bravelike her. And I was like,
how can I connect with six millionfollowers now on their brave journey? You
know it's you don't have to jumpout of a twenty meter platform to be
brave. We all have our ownbrave stories and I think it deserves to
be celebrated. So I created thehashtag Brave Gang that got over a billion

(11:24):
views, you know, everyone sharingtheir own brave story, and it inspired
me to keep jumping off crazy thingsand every single day I was like,
I want to make it a brand, an official brand. Came up with
my cute little logo, my pinkvibes, and you know, it's important
to have that community because the biggestthing is is mental health as well.

(11:46):
If you're feeling alone on your bravejourney, then it's a lot harder to
get through the hard times. Sothat's what Brave Gang's here for, is
that safe space and to remind youthat you're not alone. Beautiful Now,
hydration is essential for peak performance, especially in high intensity sports like high diving.

(12:07):
That's have shown that even mildhydration can impair athletic performance, making
proper hydration strategy strategies crucial. SoI personally love coconut water, especially once
Pawted coconut brand, because they actuallyhave the sweetest tasting coconuts from Vietnam,
not Brazil, which tends to besaltier coconuts, hence why most companies add
sugar. So I particularly love thisbrand. But how do you stay hydrated

(12:31):
and maintain your energy levels during yourintense training and competitions. No, I'm
also addicted to coconut water. It'sso delicious, but you know you have
to balance it out. You needto stay hydrated up on that platform,
especially when it's crazy degrees hot andyou're just trying to, you know,
stay healthy and do four flips oftwenty meters. You know, you can't

(12:52):
be dehydrated. You can't be unwellgoing into these events and your health and
safe. He's also crucial. So, you know, hydration is a really
big part in my life and it'sso important. It's so important to be
there and keep your physical up aswell. Agreed, Now, what advice
would you give to young athletes whoaspire to compete at the elite level like

(13:16):
you do. There's so many piecesof advice I could give, but my
favorite one is to remember to lovewhat you're doing. If you're not having
fun, if you're not enjoying whatyou do every single day, then it's
okay to step away. You know, you need to love what you're doing,
and you're going to go so muchfurther if you do. And I
think that's something I wish someone toldme as a kid. You know,

(13:39):
I was going through my miserable daysof I just know I have to keep
going because of the pressure, andit's not fun to cry every day.
So if you can truly find andtell yourself why you do it every day,
why you love it, why youstarted it in the first place,
then you're gonna remind yourself how muchfun you can have and how much success

(14:00):
you can have if you're enjoying itwell, said motivational speaker. Add that
to your resume now, the challengesthat you face in general are significant.
High diving requires not just physical skill, but also incredible mental fortitude. Like
you alluded to earlier. According tosports psychologists, the ability to manage fear
and maintain focus, to your coach'spoint, is what sets elite athletes apart.

(14:26):
Now, can you discuss some ofthe challenges that you face as a
high diver. Of course, there'sso many challenges in high diving. Of
course, you have your intense competitionpressure, you know, you want to
nail every dive, but then there'salso every single external factor. There could
be birds flying in front of youand you just have to keep going.

(14:48):
There could be massive ways, therecould be you know, tides that are
ever changing, and you just don'tknow what to expect every single time you're
competing versus in regular diving, perfectflat water, perfect flat platform. It
was really a hard switch to switchover, and it takes a lot of
mental strength to know that there's goingto be so much uncertainty in your sport

(15:09):
and sometimes you can't control it.So what I work on with my anxiety
with my you know, I alreadyhave anxiety with my mental health. Adding
on uncertainty is not my favorite thingto do. But I work really hard
with my mental performance coach to justbe comfortable with uncertainty. And I find
that fear never goes away either. You just get more comfortable with it and

(15:31):
you learn how to handle the fear. So as soon as you let in
fear or like you're stressed or reallyrecognizing that anything's there, you can then
WelCom it and learn how to handleit better than pushing it away. Now,
looking ahead, it's exciting to seehow you're going to continue to inspire
others because you are a trailblazer.High diving is gaining more recognition globally and

(15:54):
with role models like you. Ofcourse, the sport's popularity and the positive
impact of initiatives like Brave Gang aregoing to continue to grow. But what
are your future goals both in yourdiving career and with the Brave Gang community.
I definitely have a lot of futuregoals that concern my diving and my
athletic abilities. I would love tobe world champion one day. I keep

(16:15):
coming second, and I know mytime is coming. It's I don't want
to be runner up anymore. Ithink World champ is in my horizon and
we're working really hard to get there. But there's also a part of me
that's so proud of how far I'vealready come. And that's where the Brave
Gang comes in, you know, celebrating the little things and really building this

(16:36):
brand to recognize community members that aredoing insanely brave things. It could be
you know, coming out to yourparents during Pride Month, or a mom
getting back into the dating world likesuper just what could be so brave to
them? Or like a kid goingto school on an anxious day, Like

(16:56):
what bravery means to everyone is sodifferent, and I really want to highlight
that in so many people and thatwe're not alone on our crazy break journey.
So there's a lot in the futurefor Brave Gang. I'm going to
make it, you know, alittle tour. I want to go around
speak to people. I want tosend out all the merch to really brave

(17:18):
people and just make it a funenvironment. I love what you're saying.
And to all those brave warriors outthere battling cancer, medical complexities, or
disabilities, we got your back too. You're all brave and all brave.
They aren't at it. Oh yeah, that's right. Well, we are
officially at the end of our segment, My dear thank you so much for
coming on, inspiring us and sharingyour journey. You are truly incredible and

This is Denzand's your favorite iHeartRadio hostfrom seven to ten, wore the
voice of New York iHeart Radio. And today I'm all the way in Nashville,
Tennessee at Scale twenty twenty four. And today I'm here with the very

(19:34):
famous doctor Wendy Roberts. She's anauthor, she's a mom, Stanford m
d. Trained, she's the founderof generational Dematology, and she's one of
the biggest skincare and hair experts.Thank you this. Okay, So scale
twenty twenty four, CO two Liftwill start with that. What makes you

(19:56):
want this product in your practice?Okay? So this product CO two lipt
is everything I say. It's likethe quartico stereroine of the future. It's
used for everything. We use itfor hair growth, we use it for
inflammation, we use it for aging, we use it for a topic dermatitis.
We use it for acne post procedure. Have you noticed I've covered every

(20:21):
category of what dermatologists do, whatuse case doesn't it? Yes? So
if you're going to have something inyour armamentarium, then in twenty twenty four
you need to start with the COtwo Lift. An amazing product. So
let's go back. COO two Lifthas been around since the nineteen thirties.
The backdum delivery has clearly changed sincethen. It's available in a mass gel

(20:45):
like format delivered over forty five minutescutaneously. But more importantly, we've started
to see an increase in the trendin the search. Carbboxing therapy is actually
the number one skincare Google in searchof two four of twenty twenty three,
and so a lot of people aretrying to understand, well, what else
can I do with carbon dioxide therapyand how is the skin being tricked into

(21:11):
responding and reacting so quickly? Canyou break that down for us? Sure,
It's called physics, and specifically thefour principle. When you raise the
level of carbon dioxide or CO twoin the skin, your body basodilates.
Your blood vessels expand to deliver moreoxygen to the area, and so many

(21:34):
of our tissues suffer from oxygen deprivation. So CO two lift will get more
oxygen to your area, vaginal area, lady parts. It's amazing what it
does there because the skin is dryingup an atrophy from a lack of circulation,
a lack of nutrients, and itdoes this everywhere it hits. When

(21:55):
you put it on your face,it basodilates. You'll see an immediate glow.
When you have ulcers on the skin, cut scrapes, you put the
CO two lift on it, andwhat does it do. It brings blood
and oxygen to the area, soeverything heals faster. It's like your skin
gets sped up like on steroids. It just heals so much faster than it

(22:18):
would. I mean, let's faceit, we're in a state of deprivation
environmentally right, there's everything hitting us. We're just dying, dyeing, dying
on the bike. And our jobis to decrease anti inflammation and bring everything
back to life. And that's whythis product is useful in so many areas
because it does the basic things thatwe need. Give oxygen, give blood,

(22:40):
improve skin quality wherever that skin is. I'm sold. I'm convinced.
Now let's talk about Scale twenty twentyfour. Let's talk about your expertise.
So what do you specialize in atGeneration Well, I keep people looking young.
That's my handle at doctor Wendy RobertsYouth Booster, and my goal is
for everyone to look their best forever. And how are you going to do

(23:03):
that? It's head to toe,it's hair, it's skin, textures,
tone, its movement into everything.I'm here, I'll be talking about hair
loss and I'll be you know, telling people about different things that they can
do to maintain their hair and preventthe hair from this decline which happens every
woman starts to lose hair up toforty So get ahead of it. Generational
is about getting ahead of things.I'll also be talking about chemical peeling and

(23:27):
texturing and then all of the differentthings that partner with it. So it's
multifactorial. You know. I wouldjust say to the audience out there,
you know, check into a dermatologist, get all of the new stuff,
listen to Zen because the et bringingit all, and utilize everything. It's
never going to be one bullet. You need a lot a lot of tools

(23:49):
to keep these women and men lookingfabulous forever. Well, you do such
a good job, but more importantly, you practice what you preach. Your
skin is glowing. I've recently noticedthat you've ditched the makeup. Really,
I think you're just fresh from within, and I think it has a lot
to do with where we're headed intwenty twenty four and twenty twenty five with

(24:10):
these skincare trends. It's really abouttreating the skin at the root base.
It's no longer just putting a bandaid over a band aid. Talk to
me about this regeneration. Exosomes,Tell me what you're thinking about this.
Yeah, exisomes are wonderful. Stemcells are wonderful because basically with stem cells,
exisomes they do they trick the skininto being young at performing and like

(24:30):
the young. You know, weused to try to remove things peeling lates,
remove high things with camouflage makeup, but now we're now in the realm
of affecting skin performance and skin cells. We're getting to the cells and making
them younger, delivering what they needlike prp xisomes to perform in a younger

(24:52):
way, which is going to makeus look natural. And that's exactly why
I'm going to no makeup natural modeto just kind of promote the science and
the technology that we have now.So well, you look beautiful, and
you're radiant, and you are notjust a mom and an author and an
expert speaker, but you are afriend to so many here. I've seen

(25:17):
so many women come up to youand hug you and thank you for your
training and your expertise and all theknowledge that you provide during You are a
trailblazer in your field. Thank youso much for chatting with me today.
And I'm what the beautiful Dr Rainey, Doctor Rainey, so nice to meet
you, very nice to be here. First of all, tell me your
practice's name. So I'm doctor RainieCooper. I practice in Katie, Texas
at sinco RAN's dermatology just outside ofyou soon. What's your specialty? I

(25:42):
do a little bit of everything, mostly medical dermatology, cosmetic and the surgical
as well. Okay, and howlong have you been in practice? For?
About seventeen years? You look soyoung? Would you get to me
to my next question? You mustknow all the latest and all the coolest
technologies when it comes to skincare andskin rejubidation. What's your favorite perk procedure

(26:08):
that you're advocating for When patients comein and say I want to look young
and beautiful again, what's your firstrecommendation? I'm going to ask you for
non surgical and then we'll just search. I mean, my first recommendation is
always on screen. That's the key, if you would say that the key
to looking young. So I'm obviouslyhere to learn new treatments and we do
the time of neuromodulators and fillers. Here to learn about new options. Yeah,

(26:33):
there's well Music City Scale twenty twentyfour is exactly where you want to
be to get all of the latestand the coolest trends. Now, let's
chat a little bit about carbon dotoutside therapy for skin legitimation. We know
it's been around the nineteen thirties. The method of delivery to the skin was
changed. It's no longer an injection. It's now delivered forty five minutes continuously

(26:55):
in a gel like format. Mapcould be done at home or at a
practitioner's office. COO two Lifts Pausean incredible line of products. How did
you hear about CO two Lifts.I've heard about it from colleagues. It's
not something that we have yet inour practice, so through other dermatologists around
the country, I heard very promisingthings, and I'm here to try and

(27:15):

media world and how she's disrupting traditionalindustries with emerging tech. Welcoming down to

(30:21):
the show is the incredible Amanda anda welcome superstars. Hey, thank you
for having me. I am soexcited to chat with you. You are
a trailblazer within your own field.Incredible, incredible. So before we dive
in taking the look back, pleaseshare with us your journey in the tech
industry and what initially inspired you topursue a career in this field. I

(30:44):
mean, how far back do wewant to go? So I graduated high
school when I was sixteen. I'ma total nerd and I was on my
own. I moved out of myparents house at sixteen, so to be
honest, I looked at the collegecourses available and I saw computer programming was
one, and I was always quiteintrigued by tech, so I ended up

(31:07):
taking computer programming in this analysis, and at the time, I was also
a fashion model, so dichotomy ofthe two very different. However, I
worked at a call center for awhile from a tech perspective, and in
my twenties I owned two agencies inthe fashion space. I owned an artist
representation agency and a model placement agency. And then when I was twenty seven,

(31:32):
I had a brain aneurysm and hadbrain surgery, so that sort of
pivoted my career to focus more onthe media and the tech side of things.
I was traveling a lot time,and I decided I needed to travel
less and focus more on my careerand building something a little stable. So

(31:52):
I had partnered with an organization andwe created a startup in the traditional media
space of out of home advertised, which is like billboards and whatnot, and
we created a first to market mobileretargeting and offline so it was kind of
combining offline and online advertising. Thisis back in like twenty ten, twenty

(32:14):
twelve, excuse me, So itwas quite innovative at the time, and
we sold that company to a verylarge publicly traded company about three years later,
and then I went in to buildanother company once again in the ad
tech space while a lot of mycareers specifically in the advertising technology space,
and built a first to market. We called it an audience intelligence platform,

(32:36):
where we were able to once againcombine offline and online advertising and take some
of the granular details of the digitalspace, online capabilities, targeting, audience,
demographic, lifestyle, et cetera, and brought that to the offline out
of home space. And then wesubsequent subsequently sold that to another large publicly
traded company. Ooh, that's somejourney. That is a book right there.

(33:01):
It is now. It's incredible. And I know. Back in the
early pandemic days, the tech industryflourished because many companies rapidly increase their digital
efforts. However, in more recentyears that growth faltered with high inflation and
elevated interest rates and workforce reductions andmore. But this year, a tech

(33:22):
comeback is in the works. Infact, according to the US Bureau of
Labor Statistics and lightcasts, in thenext ten years, the tech workforce is
projected to grow twice as fast asthe overall US workforce, with a study
from COMPTI predicting approximately three hundred thousandnew tech jobs that are going to be
created. And to go one stepfurther, it should also come as no

(33:44):
surprise that the Lloyd twenty twenty fourTechnology Industry Outlook predicts a strong focus on
artificial intelligence for this year of twentytwenty four. So you have certainly positioned
yourself very well in a rapidly growingindustry to be able to understand and evaluate
the constant emerging tech and make decisionson how it can best innovate and disrupt

(34:06):
more traditional industries. And that isat the heart of it all. So
congratulations, really what you've done now, And I know you have some questions,
so I'll let you take it away. Yeah. I love what you've
laid downs, and I think thatone thing I want to underscore is Amanda's
superpower. It's your passion for disruptiveand innovative thinking. And I know you've
held back because I know you've hada lot of career wins, but I'm

(34:29):
just wondering if one stands out asa real turning point where you understood how
that superpower was like key to yoursuccess. I think, Uh, for
me, my biggest win, Isuppose is being I was the youngest female
executive in a publicly traded company afterselling my company to this publicly traded company,
it's a very large organization. SoI was thirty four by the time,

(34:52):
I had two successful tech exits, and when I was thirty seven,
I took over as the youngest presidentof a data science company that ran the
out of home industry in the Canadianmarketplace. And at now forty one,
but when I was forty, Itook over as the only female CEO of

(35:14):
Billboard globally and the youngest as well. So for me, those are my
career wins, trying to showcase apassion for you know, being a female
entrepreneur, and it doesn't matter whatage, who are, you can succeed
just a few of my career wins. Elenia, we could take all day
on that one. It's amazing. Now, you know, while I'm mad

(35:39):
that you are amazing, but whileyou're innovative and open mindset is clearly valuable
because I think that that's at thekey of it all. Not everyone shares
this mindset. Right, In aworld with such rapid growth, many people
fear some of these technological advancements technofolb. Since actor's actually a term,
right, technophobia, And this fearsometimes arises for various reasons, right,

(36:04):
But it may be for privacy concernsin alarm, for making the human workforce
obsolete, right, or even justa general aversion to the change. I
think it's general aversion to the change. But this fear doesn't just emerge on
a consumer level, even on abusiness level. And according to Forbes,
forty three percent of businesses are concernedabout technology dependence and therefore are hesitant,
hesitant to integrate new tech. Butas we all know, change is often

(36:29):
for the better. So, inyour expert opinion, what emerging trends or
technologies in the tech industry excite youthe most right now? That should not
be overlooked? Honestly, AI Artificialintelligence. I know people are scared of
it. However, it's not goingto replace the human role, it's going

(36:49):
to enhance it. If you're notusing CHATJPT, and I'm not talking the
free version of chat GPT, I'mtalking the paid version. It's twenty twenty
five dollars a month something like that, if you're not using that to en
enhance your personal knowledge and your efficiencywithin the workplace. At the end of
the day, AI is specifically aboutefficiency. It's not about replacing human power.
It's specifically about efficiency, and everysingle one of us in any workforce

(37:15):
should be looking at AI. Weshould be leveraging it to be able to
ensure that we are more efficient andare able to actually enhance our roles and
our value within an organization. Itwill never replace us, in my opinion.
I'm I'm glad you're talking about thistechno positivity because I think a lot
of people are scared about it,and I think they see it as a

(37:37):
threat to their job. But again, I want to underscore something really human
about you, because when I firstheard your story, I was really inspired
by your ability to overcome adversity andthe way you pivoted A lot of people
pivoting right now, and I wantto know, is there something human that
really kept you going during that time, leving those times of change. I

(37:58):
mean, as I alluded to,I did have brain surgery when I was
twenty seven, so that is avery grounding experience and Frankly, you wake
up every day and you feel blessedto be able to wake up and to
have the opportunity to live life whereothers may not. So that to me
is what keeps me going and keepsme wanting to succeed and wanting to change,

(38:22):
and wanting to innovate and wanting toinspire you know, the younger generation
of entrepreneurs. So it's positivity acrossthe board, pastivity across the board.
Ohways, now, I note thatyou're going to be launching Billboard UK later
this fall and Rolling Stone Quebec justin a few weeks, so you've clearly
got lots on your plate, Amanda. But looking specifically at your current rule

(38:44):
as CEO, with your tech backgroundand disruptive approach, how has the company
evolved under your leadership and what aresome of the key changes or even strategies
that you're implementing or implementing going forward. That's a great question I think you
know in the Canadian space specifically withI'll speak to Billboard Canada and Rolling Stone

(39:05):
Quebec for upcoming launch, there's alot of legislation from an advertising perspective that
is limiting to advertisers. There's variousfederal and provincial equivalent to state legislation that's
coming into play with respective privacy andwhom can advertise outside of the Canadian market
space within the Canadian market space. So it was a bit of a down

(39:28):
market for us in Canada, andmy business partners and I took that as
an opportunity to replace some publications thatwere unfortunately unable to sustain because they lost
a significant amount of revenue with thislegislation coming in. So I think that
that's an exciting place and position tobe because we have the ability to foster

(39:52):
community, and that's one of ourlarge ethos across all of our House Media
Group titles. We really want toprovide a platform and a voice for talent,
whether they be you know, Canadiantalent or international talent on a more
international scale and an international platform. So for us, it's really about community

(40:13):
and building and fostering that community.I love that's near and dear to my
heart. You know, I'm ason writer and I worry about the market
in general for artists, and Iactually met Canadian artist Brian Brian Adams recently
iness in a kind of a tightcircle and I said, what are you
most excited about right now? Andhe's just said freedom. And I won't

(40:35):
go into the recent why he's feelingthat freedom, but it's just such a
changing landscape and it's important to honorartists, and I know you're doing that
in communities. It's a wonderful world. Can you give us some like success
stories of ways that you've helped emergingCanadian artists. I'm going to reference our
inaugural cover for Billboard Canada. Sowe had the opportunity to put any number

(41:00):
of major A list Canadian celebrity musicianon our cover. You know, we
could have had access to any oneof the big ones, not name names,
but we decided to take a differentapproach, and our inaugural cover was
focused on the Punjabi wave. Soin the Canadian and on the global scale,

(41:22):
Punjabi music and musicians and art isa huge cultural trend and it's not
widely known to those who who maynot be overly familiar with the music industry.
So we took the opportunity to takefive of the most successful Canadian Punjabi
artists and put them on our cover. So we did five independent issues or

(41:44):
independent covers and then we did acover with all five of them on Each
of these artists have over ten millionstreams monthly on Spotify, so they're very
successful. But for us, itwas the opportunity to really put this genre
on a global and international scale, and our cover was featured globally and internationalized.

(42:04):
For our US counterpart, which wecall Global had covered that. We
had out of home assets and thelargest billboard in Mumbai with the out of
home billboard with the cover of Billboardmagazine. So we kind of typed that
together Billboard on Billboard and it wasa huge success and I think that that
is representative of what we want todo. So highly disruptive, but you

(42:28):
know, very much driving community, way to build community globally. I mean
really high five on that one.Yeah, very creative, very very well
done. I have been at theforefront of the music scene, especially with
our FM channels, that FM stationsthat we own, and we had Naomi
Atchu was the Queen of Bamenda innot long ago. We also had Young

(42:50):
Wilin in with a song good energyand a lot of the afrobeats are re
emerging now and it's really taking ahuge wave. So I really echo your
sentiment in wanting to build community basedon the music trends that we're currently seeing,
and when you look at truly music, the one thing that's universal is
community about that it brings people together. Now, I know you're so excited

(43:15):
about the Billboard Canada Women in MusicCelebration this September seventh, and I'm excited
to hear more about it. Whichis this prestigious initiative that celebrates and acknowledges
the contribution of women and gender diverseindividuals in the music industry, fostering inspiration
across generations. Such a beautiful theme. Can you share why you're particularly passionate

(43:37):
about this event? I mean nothard to tell why, but what particularly
threw you close to this? Thisis not just personal for me, but
personal for the entire Billboard Canada team. So seventy percent of the executives at
Billboard Canada are female, female entrepreneurs. So that's a huge stat in my
opinion, and we're all here totry and provide more of a platform andays

(44:00):
for female artists and you know, gender diverse artists. We announced this actually
with iHeart Canada last week during CanadianMusic Week and we had the Beaches,
who are in all female bands,do a private performance, very exclusive with
honance during our announcement. It's justan initiative that is truly powerful because it

(44:22):
represents an underserved market, if youwill, an underserved genre within the music
industry. And I'm just really excitedfor our set. It's going to be
epic. We'll probably have about fourfour hundred and fifty people in attendance,
and we'll give a lot of awardsout. We have some very a list

(44:44):
talent who will be in our presence, which I can't say who yet,
but I'm excited to announce that soon. I've regrecited for you. Yeah,
great cliff banger then, yes, right, great teaser. I would just
like to say with Zen Amanda,I just feel I feel this moment.

(45:05):
I'm really happy to be with bothof you. We are. I do
believe that media can change the world. I do think women of our caliber
and I can throw myself in.They're just women of our caliber looking out
for that community globally. I'm reallyproud of this conversation, but especially where
you're going and having you here,I just can't wait. I can't wait
to see what happens next. Canyou give us a discovery your potential takeaway?

(45:29):
Like, what are you hopeful aboutin the future. I am hopeful
to continue expanding and growing and inspiringthe next generation. Frankly, you know,
at the end of the day,I want the younger females to know
that you can be an entrepreneur,to know that you can be disruptive,
to know that you can have aseat at the table without you know,
worrying or without being self conscious.I want to have the next generation look

(45:54):
up to our entire team or withinart media group and within you know,
both Billboard Uku Billboard Canada and RollingStone Quebec and feel inspired. I want
them to know that they can dothis too. You are amazing, Okay.
I can't wait to have you hereat headquarters. I'm going to introduce

(46:15):
so all our all our FM partnersMaxwell from Z one hundred take you to
Q one O four when we're gonnago visit classic rock and dash out breakfast

element, music element, okay, and then we're gonna celebrate and do drinks.

Tune in to a Moment of ZenSaturday nights from nine to ten pm on
WOOR, the voice of New yorkiHeartRadio. Hi, I'm Sarah Katz.
With this week's Express Beauty segment fora moment of zet have. Do you
see what's going on on the newslately? Well, unfortunately, there have
been cases of counterfeit botox resulting inpeople be hospitalized for adverse events. So

(48:53):
what happened? In about nine states? More than fifteen people experienced really scary
side effects from boatox. Some peoplewere even hospitalized for not being able to
swallow, difficulty breathing, difficulty holdingtheir pet up, alert visions, alert
speech. Well, how did thishappen? Unfortunately, there are unlicensed medical

(49:16):
professionals out there performing these procedures innon medical facilities using counterfeit boat TX.
So how do you know if you'rereceiving bake boats? What can you do
to advocate for your own safety?Fortunately they are raised to safeguard against these
side effects. Always make sure you'regoing to a licensed medical professional. Make

(49:37):
sure you're being seen in a medicalsetting. Always check that that provider has
been properly trained and is able tobe found on the Allergame website if they're
performing boat ts, and you canalso even investigate or check out with bottles,
you should be able to ask yourprovider to see the bottle and make
sure that some authentic characteristics exist onthat box. Oh, there should be

(50:00):
holograms. It should be administered indoses that are normal for the way that
that product is produced. It shouldnot say botox type A. It should
say on a botch of line inTX. Right. So these are definitely
characteristics you can look up on theFDA websites. You can be educated consumer.

(50:21):
And unfortunately, even though these sideeffects can still happen even with a
licensed medical professional, they are very, very very rare. And if you
go to someone who knows what they'redoing, who's experienced, your experience should
be safe and a happy one.So know before you go and always advocate
for your safety. This is SaryTax's work. Today's Express Beauty segment on
