Speaker 1 (00:00):
News from Nashville's music role.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
It's Anne Hudson.

Speaker 3 (00:04):
Okay. It looks like there might be some drama happening
on TikTok between Dylan marlow and Connor Smith, or is
it Is it just a way for them to promote
a new song. The song is called Country in the Clouds.
Dylan Marlowe is claiming that he recorded it first and
that it's his song, while Connor Smith is doing the same.
Dylan Marlowe is the first to go online and call

(00:24):
Connor out.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
So it has come to my attention that another artist
has been teasing the same song as me, same melody,
same words, same lyrics, essentially worth singing them on. And
I have figured that I'm just gonna drop mine first
to beat him to put it out. He's always slow
on stuff anyways, So I'm gonna gonna put mine out
April twenty fifth.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Well, Connor Smith got wind of this and well responded
to that video.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Pretty wild of Dylan to do this, But I called
my record label and they said the earliest so we
can get a song out happens to be April twenty fifth.
So I'm putting out Country and the Clouds on April
twenty fifth as well. Well when it comes out, y'all
make sure to stream my version and thank you guys
for supporting me no matter what.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
I mean que back and forth, but my prediction throwing
the song together and they're just playing this up, which
is cute. I actually love it. Well, you may remember
that Lenny Wilson kind of went viral online for her
booty because it's perfect and well for the first time
she opened up about it.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
My butt went viral on TikTok back in twenty twenty one,
something like that, I'm losing track of time. At first,
I kind of thought it was funny because I was like,
I've been working on music my whole life, and then
all of a sudden, I feel like I'm gaining a
lot of fans because of my rear end. And I
thought it was going to be like a quick, little
like viral moment and then something to laugh about, you
know whatever. But then it like kept going on and on,

(01:46):
like it really went viral. I read way too many comments,
even if you don't believe it, with what somebody says
about you, like even putting your eyes on it first,
flit second can kind of like like leave a little mark.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
I think that's such a good message and something we
all should process and watch what you say on the internet. Well,
this is sad. The record label started by superstar songwriter
Shame mcinally and Jason Owen, it's called Monument Records, which
is the home to Walker Hayes, Tiger Lily Gold, amongst others,
is shutting down. Tiger Lily Gold will be moving over

(02:20):
to Sony Music Nashville, but as far as Walker Hayes
another artist, no word on where they'll end up. Hi,
Man Hudson for these stories and more, head on over
to AfterMidnight dot com and hey, let's follow each other
on Instagram. I'd love to see where you're at. My
username is my name backwards, It's Hudson and and with
an E.
