Speaker 1 (00:00):
Especially in the Gym and morning show with DJ Foreign
and Sunty Glynn.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
You need to know, No, we got you three things
you need to know on Boston's number one for hip
hop and the best throwbags.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
Do you haven't any more?
Speaker 1 (00:13):
Five? We saw an apartment building in gulfed in flames.
I saw the fire inch and pull up this afternoon
a fire captain have one of his firefighters attach a
hose to a hydrant, and that hose didn't fill up.
Alex and I asked the captain, out of every ten
hydrants you attached to today on average, how many are
(00:33):
you getting full water from? He says little to none.
And it was at that point that really the whole
crew stopped, looked up at this apartment building, and they
realized there was nothing they could do.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
Thursday, January ninth, National Guards officially been called in la
Is literally burning to the ground.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
La Is on fire. Parts of SoCal are ashes as.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
We wake up this morning and counting, like I said earlier,
but over two thousand structures reduced to nothing. The aerial
shots of Pacific Palisades is like something you would see
post apocalyptic in a movie.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
In a film, it's it's nothingness.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
The iconic Hollywood Boulevard, you know, home of the Walk
of Fame, the Chinese Theater, Hollywood Bowl all have been
evacuated because another massive fire has broken out in Hollywood Hills.
Another one hundred thousand people have been told to get
out now while they can, because there might come a
time period where they're unable to. That would take the
(01:29):
number of people that have been forced to evacuate over
two hundred thousand. Wow, over two hundred thousand people have
been told get out now while you can save yourself.
Five people reported dead as of now, we know that.
Speaker 4 (01:43):
Number is going to climb in like.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
The wildest thing is, I don't know when this is
going to stop, because I thought that yesterday was gonna
be the worst, but then waking up today it's even
worse than it was.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Only three of five have I mean, I'm sorry, only
two fires have been contained. Three of the fire I've
have zero containment, which is.
Speaker 5 (02:02):
A scary thought. So what are they expecting this thing
just to go and keep me?
Speaker 2 (02:05):
And that's why I just played that clip because firefighters
are trying, but there's nothing they can do if they
have run out of water and the fire hydrants are
providing no water. Yeah, now they have, they have been
cleared for you know, planes and helicopters, but again you can't.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
And it's the hell.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
The wind is one hundred percent eighty to one hundred
miles per hour winds. That's why it's traveling so quick.
But the helicopters can't even bring that much water up there,
you know what I mean. This thing is spreading football
field lengths in minutes. TMZ is reporting as of this morning,
Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Eugene Levy, we know, Paris Hilton,
Heidi and Spencer Pratt just to name a few celebrities
(02:46):
have completely lost their home.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
Here's Jamie Lee Curtis. I was listening to this earlier.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
This is Jamielee Curtis kind of talking about the fact
that not only are her family and friends losing their home,
but like things you don't even think about your grocery door.
Speaker 6 (03:00):
It's just a catastrophe in southern California. Obviously, there have
been horrific fires in many places. This is literally where
I live, everything, the market, I shop in, the schools,
my kids go to. Friends, many many, many, many many
friends now have lost their homes.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
So it is.
Speaker 6 (03:20):
It's a really awful situation.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
I am.
Speaker 6 (03:24):
I am, you know, obviously going to go home first
thing tomorrow and be with my family and try to
help my friends.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Obviously there's a big time change for us. But if
you know anybody out there, for sure, reach out. I
know a ton of people in the southern California area,
Like I said, my best friend lives in Manhattan Beach,
very close to all of this.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
Airbnb dot org.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
If you do know somebody that is there and that area,
and yeah, they're in a hotel. I can tell you
many hotels are filled to capacity because people are trying
to get out. They're going, you know, as far as
they can check into these hotels there. It's they're inundated.
But Airbnb dot org right now is offering free emergency
homes to people who have been impacted by the wildfires.
(04:03):
But I'm with you, like when will this send.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
Well, the forecast, I don't see wind on it for
the next week, so hopefully that can help. It looks
pretty stable, yes, but then the water like is.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Yeah, the water issue is a real problem. So we're
gonna check in with a friend of the.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Show, Anthony Flores from bone Vita Films.
Speaker 5 (04:24):
He's a film director out there, but he's a local guy.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Yeah, And Anthony was in Hollywood Hills, got out and
is now in Venice. So it's kind of just going
to talk about his experience and what's going on.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
We'll check in with him in a couple of minutes.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
I don't know if I believe this story, but I'm
still gonna put it in here for you guys. Anyway,
Diddy is supposedly throwing quote tantrums in jail right now.
Why you ask he doesn't like the attention Luigi's getting
in cluded Luigi.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
Killer Killer. Yeah, because they're in the same place right.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Now, and the rumor is is that Diddy is mad
that Luigi's taking no such I would think the opposite, right,
I would think did He's like, oh thank God.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
But if you're Diddy and you went to the freakofs
and you like it a little.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
This says this, says Luise, Well, he is pretty it
says Luigi, who is being held in protective custody, has
become a sensation among other inmates because remember there's a
lot of people that are calling him a quote hero.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
So he doesn't like it, and he's good looking, so
he's definitely getting a lot more attention.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
By the way, Did He's in gem pop, which is
still so crazy to me?
Speaker 3 (05:34):
Really why because he's famous? But he wants yeah, yeah,
he wants.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
To I know that guy.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
There's like a party. There's like, Hey, what time is
the did He's party?
Speaker 6 (05:51):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (05:51):
Tonight, it's a sixth you know.
Speaker 7 (05:53):
I would want to be gem flopped, though, I don't
want to be isolated because I'll probably go crazy.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
I agree, I would probably, But there's a lot of
people celebrity wise that get put in jail that they
put in isolation because they're worried about what could happen
if they're in gen pop.
Speaker 4 (06:07):
So that's why I say that.
Speaker 7 (06:08):
And remember who did he is? Did he probably got
a couple of tides to the streets, so I'm sure
he's good. He's a protectic.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
Quote source told the Daily Mail quote did he has
been throwing tantrums over the fact that Luigi's getting all
the attention in prison and is being revered as the
hero after literally murdering someone on camera even in prison.
Speaker 4 (06:23):
Did He's ego is bigger than life.
Speaker 7 (06:25):
Stop.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
I'm not buying it either I'm with you, shower time man.
Speaker 5 (06:29):
Did he just wants to be a gen pop?
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Okay, let's let's bring it back to home. Let's do
a quick Boston story, a lighter one, if you will.
We know Zendia is in town filming a movie with
Robert Pattinson.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
I forget the name of the movie, but we do
have it.
Speaker 5 (06:45):
Was it Passengers or did I just make that up?
Speaker 4 (06:47):
It doesn't sound far off either way.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
Zendea's here, her fiance Tom Holland here as well. This
story is wild because we have a connection to it.
There's a tattoo shop on Newberry Street called the Boston
Tattoo Comempany. The Boston Tattoo Company has done some work
on Santi's body physically here in studio. The tattoo artist
came into the studio and tatted you while we were
live on air.
Speaker 5 (07:09):
That's right.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
I got my thighs on. I got some vintage playing
cards on my thighs and they have been in here.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
The guy's name is Jason and he actually, back in
the day, also did a tattoo for a listener who
wanted wrestling tickets. So this guy, uh, he allowed us
to put the logo of the show on his arm.
So some there's a guy we're walking around wrestling wrestling
tickets and I'm not even talking about like one of
the big events.
Speaker 5 (07:30):
It was like a random Yeah, he's.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
The movie called The Drama, The Drama Passengers all over close.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
Yeah, very close. Good good. Spread that yeah, spread that
one around the series today.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
But anyways, we know for a fact that India Tom
Holland have been out and about in the city walking
their dog in the South End, getting coffee on Newberry Street.
Now we can add couple's tattoos to the list. They
went to Boston Tattoo Company right there on Newberry Street.
Zendea got a little tea on her rib cage. Tom,
wait and day, I got a tea.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
Tom got busy.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
Yeah, okay, like everybody else.
Speaker 7 (08:09):
He had a couple of people with them and they
asked if there was availability, and it took us a
little while to figure out actually who they were, and
the two of them were seems smitten one another, and
they were they would just hear your average.
Speaker 5 (08:21):
You have a successful couple. There's an honor to have
them here.
Speaker 7 (08:24):
It's it's a big deal being on you know Newberry
Street and it's it was just great. We appreciate you know,
them stopping by.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
It was it meant a lot to us, and then a.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
Lot to the staff. You need to shoot them ATTACKX.
I want more info.
Speaker 5 (08:34):
I already did.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
Yeah, I need more info. But I believe.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
I believe that because again, any place that they've gone
to on Newbury Streets so far, everyone's like, they're so nice,
they're down to earth.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
I can stomach the letter, but if they did the names,
that would be the kiss of death.
Speaker 7 (08:47):
About to say similar.
Speaker 4 (08:50):
I still don't love it because.
Speaker 5 (08:52):
I can stomach it me too. It's gonna hurt. Yeah, yeah,
this is interesting.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
But again this is always they at least with the initial.
You can cover it up at some point, yes, or
you could say it's been something else. Yeah, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
Yeah, the best.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
