Speaker 2 (00:04):
You need to know, No, we got you Three things
you need to know on Boston's number one for hip
hop and the best throwbags.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
She haven't any more?

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Five all right, faves, It's Thursday.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
It's February twenty seventh, and it was just a very,
very sad day yesterday. I feel like I saw Michelle
Trachenberg's photo everywhere. I mean I opened up my Instagram
and all the social media, and I'm seeing her photo.
And I think you can recognize her face almost immediately,
especially if you're somewhere around my age, like a thirty

(00:38):
eight year old. She was known for her roles in
Gossip Girl, Buffy The Buffy, the Vampire Slayer. But even younger,
she was a child actor on the Nickelodeon show The
Adventures of Pete and Peach. She also starred in the
film Harry at the Spy she was thirty nine years old.
Kind of set the scene for you. She's with her
mom on Tuesday nights. They're hanging out till around ten pm.

(01:02):
Mom says bye to her, Mom doesn't hear from her.
Next morning, Mom goes to her New York City apartment
and finds her dead. Yeah, thirty nine years old.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
And I know they're talking that like maybe it's natural causes, but.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
We have there's more, there's more info now.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
At first they were saying die of natural causes, and
I text you and I'm like, something's not adding up.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
Years old.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
So, according to sources, she had just undergone a liver
transplant and was experiencing some complications from that transplant. And
people are now believing that her body may or may
not have just rejected.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Us, because if you see pictures from like the last
few days, she does look super frail.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
She doesn't look like what she did when she was young.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
She does, and I guess people were saying that on
social media and she was writing back, I'm happy, I'm healthy,
I'm good like you know, don't worry about my weight,
because it was noticeable that she was looking a little
bit different. She was Dawn, the younger sister of Buffy
the Vampire Slayer on the TV show. She was in

(02:03):
Gossip Girl. I think from like until twenty twelve or
something like that. Blake Lively actually posted about.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Her euro trip is a movie. She did it AJ
brought that up to that movie's so funny. Yeah, and
the first thing I think it was then like I
want to lie because the movie's funny.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
But man, thirty nine is so young and so crazy,
and I just I keep thinking about her mom. Yeah,
with her the night before until ten pm, says good
night to her, and now we'll never see her daughter again.
It's just it's awful. So as we learn more info,
you know, I'll keep you posted. But I don't think

(02:40):
there was a way in which, if you're somebody that
gets on social media, you could have missed this. Yesterday,
on the complete opposite end, this morning, ninety five year
old Gene Hackman was found dead in his bed alongside
his wife, Betsy and their dog.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Yeah, the dog is something's up. It has to be probably.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
When I saw wife and then dog, I'm like this
the crew. So he was ninety five years old. If
you're thinking, ash, who is a Gene Hackman? Gene, you know,
I believe he had won two Oscars in his time
for films like The French Connection. He was in Hoosier's
Unforgiven the Firm. He's one of the actors where you
would see his face and be like I know this man,

(03:23):
I'm not sure what or I can't remember what I
know him from. I can tell you that the Santa
Fe County Sheriff's Office says that there's one hundred percent
no foul play as of right now. Deputies responded to
a welfare check on his home around one forty five yesterday,
and that's where they found him, his wife, and the
dog deceased.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
Got to be what else it's got to be?

Speaker 1 (03:46):
I mean, if I goin to speculate, since we're here,
meybe because he was ninety five, like clearly he was
a tail end of or anything. What if they all
just wanted to go out together, Like I don't think
that's what it is, but I had to take But.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Then wouldn't that be foul play?

Speaker 4 (03:57):
I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
No, if they can if they, yeah, be a murder suicide?

Speaker 4 (04:02):
What if they what if they all did him to
themselves pails together? Yeah, Like I don't know, repect.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
That's crazy. I did not.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
Couldn't, couldn't be.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
Like they put it. Yeah, they put it in a steak.
That's crazy.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
But you know what's wild is that the picture that
they showed him from like ten months ago.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
I guess he stepped out for.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
The first time.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Yeah, I saw it.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
Doesn't even look I thought it was a I'm like, yeah,
got the wrong picture.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
He already looked like dead. It was scary.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
When Hollywood talks about the best actors of all time,
he's always mentioned in like the conversations. He was so
good and like he was well loved and well respected
by everybody. At the Oscars. They're going to do a big,
big thing for him.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
I was about him this morning too.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
I think some of the last pieces of work he
did was back and I want to say twenty twelve,
but he was like voicing a documentary. But he did
end up like kind of walking away from Hollywood. But
he was ninety five. I mean he lived a long life. Yeah,
and to be able to die with your wife and dog,
you know, inside your own home. We've talked about this

(05:14):
one this before, like that one I can digest. Ninety
five years old, lived an amazing life. You know, thirty
nine years old, you still have your whole life to live.
I mean, she was out last week with her friends
in New York. She's she's young, she's my age. Yeah,
that's weird. But it was sad.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
But to your point, though, both of these were everywhere,
more so for the first one. She was everywhere and
went like a cross.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
When I woke I don't know if you guys did
this morning.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
I woke up and the first thing I did was
go on my phone and I saw a couple different
outlets reporting about Gene Hackman. But I hadn't seen it
on TMC. So I'm like, maybe it's not true. And
now it's now, you can't miss it.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
Now it's a legend.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
Yeah, I know.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
So thoughts in prayers is that's obviously sad for both
both families.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
All right. And lastly, master P, he's got a new gig.
It's coming, I said. I saw the headline on the
I gotta read this.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Master P has been named the head of basketball operations
at the University of New Orleans.

Speaker 5 (06:13):
No today, it's history. We come a long way growing
up in New Orleans. When I was a kid, I
looked at the University of New Orleans basketball program. It's
probably one of the best in the country, and every
kid wanted to come here, wanted to come to the
lake Front Arena, and wanted to be a part of
this I'm just so appreciative and blessed that God has
given me this opportunity.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
Well there, you haven't. Master P got some time on
his hands. He's like, I'll take over.

Speaker 4 (06:38):
Did he say it's one of the best basketball programs
in the country.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
We're gonna move.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
If you live in New Orleans, you might feel that
that way the worst.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Yeah, well it's not that's crazy like master P. It's
not Duke. Yeah, we love him, but it's not Duke.

Speaker 6 (06:52):
