but he's gonna be with his family in Africa. But
I laughed to myself because I thought, to my thought, like,
hide your stuff, my.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
Dad flass time Moore's down is yere. He pretty much
took anything new that.

Speaker 6 (01:05):
Fore and a half.

Speaker 5 (01:07):
He was breaking out sneak because I thought a box.
I'm like, no, don't do that. I'm supposed to be
saving those, but nah, I'm excited. My mom hasn't been
here and geez, maybe over ten years, if not more.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
And what's the game Lime where your sister fly to
Florida too?

Speaker 5 (01:19):
Yeah, so wow, meeting in Florida kind of like an
ok yeah reunion. Yeah. So we're all gonna link up,
you know, stay there a couple of days, and then
we fly back. Me and my parents fly back and
they're gonna stay with me for like a week and
a half.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Where will everybody stay in Florida? Send your brother lives there, but.

Speaker 5 (01:34):
My brother stays at the Tona Beach. But we're getting
an airbnb out in Orlando just because it was the airport,
you know what I mean? Easy travel for my parents.
They don't got a land and then drive another hour
and a half to go somewhere else. They've already been
traveling for what fteen Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
There's there's something very special in Orland. Though I don't
know you're close. I feel like, what's that Disney It's
called Mickey. I mean, show some respect. And by the way,
you might not, but maybe your parents want to. They
want to take that info back to Africa and say
we thought Africa was the happiest place on Earth.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
It's not.

Speaker 5 (02:06):
Ten thousand dollars.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
Well, you're already there, You've already paid for that day pass.

Speaker 5 (02:12):
Yes, I heard something like people who live out there
get a discount.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
If you're a Floridian and a resident of Florida, I
think you do get a break on the ticket price. Yeah,
you don't want to take them, you just hit the
Magic Kingdom with them or even Epcot.

Speaker 5 (02:25):
Yeah, and the kids I'm sure would like it.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
Oh yeah, and kids is in yours are going? And
who else?

Speaker 5 (02:30):
Everybody? Everybody sold? My sister, my nephew's coming with my system.
Obviously my brother doesn't have kids. And then my two
sons were all traveling out there. Oh, that's going to
be It's going to be fun, so fun. I'm trials,
Yes I.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
Will, it will be tough. So you leave Sunday? What
are you doing this weekend?

Speaker 1 (02:44):
So taking my daughters to see DeAndre?

Speaker 5 (02:47):
Yeah? We googled this so the YouTube?

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Yeah, okay, but I guess the baby's going to be there.
And my question to you guys, is should twelve year
old to be attending a concert where the baby is this?

Speaker 5 (03:01):
They already listened to him? Okay, good, because why are
you saying it?

Speaker 3 (03:05):
So Mono toe ye go to the baby because.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
This dude has a song because something about women in
all night long, and my daughter made a fence face
when I was like, Hey, what's up with this like
song he has? I guess he had.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
The Baby had the controversy where I think he was
like yelling a homophobic slurs and it wasn't that him
at a concert on the But he's on the way up.
He's I think he went and had like lgbt Q
plus training training.

Speaker 5 (03:30):
Okay, so he has a big song called shake Some
All right, I'm gonna leave that in the you. So
word on the street is that he's gonna be there.
Yes he is. House of Blues already sold them posts.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Oh wow, confessed I didn't know.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
I just want everyone to close their eyes and think
of Santi's wife Joanne at a Baby concert.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
That's unreal.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
There is like like she's gonna stick out like a
sore thumb. She does not belong there, she doesn't know
anything about the music.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
It's so crazy, like this show was sold out and
you were able to get tickets for your girls.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
I've never even heard of this guy, but that's the thing.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
These young YouTubers are so famous with the younger generation.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
What's his name, DeAndre Harding? Do you know the Adrian tickets.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
A figure that out before you go.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
Let me let me ask you this is it? Is
it an early showdow No at eight? Eight?

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Yeah, it's eight until we leave tomorrow tomorrow night.

Speaker 5 (04:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
When we are not staying for the for the for
the entire thing. I already told my girls, I'm like,
we're not staying the whole long.

Speaker 5 (04:30):
They're not going to see the baby. The baby's probably
gonna come out at about ten or eleven at least,
so late. But it's a Saturday.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
So for the kids, Yeah, will you guys go in
early and do dinner and all that.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
Well, we have a basketball tournament tomorrow in New Hampshire,
so we're going right from there into Boston.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
We'll do dinner.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
Yes, Well, will they shower and get ready?

Speaker 5 (04:47):
I think we're gonna shower here. That makes you You
got to get them. Yeah, let them get a little
Because of the pictures and stuff, Yeah, that's cool, that's fine.
I'm gonna feel very out of place. I can't wait
for you to document it. It's gonna be so surprised, surprised,
how many of how many parents are going to be.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
We need a video of the baby performing and then
a pan over to Joanne.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
That's what I need, That's what I need. Farman's birthday
this weekend, Sunday is the day.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
I don't have much for him. But my mother is
going to watch the girls tomorrow night, and we're gonna
go out. We're gonna we're gonna do a little like
Self Shore. We're gonna bop around to a couple of bars,
bop around, she says, to a few bars in the
South Shore.

Speaker 5 (05:31):
So don't you love the bopping.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
He love bopping, hell love.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
He's gonna love the desert too that you have planned bopping.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
A little a little more.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
Christ It's just it took you saying it four times
and I got it.

Speaker 5 (05:48):
Got it.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
No, But I will tell you that a guy hit
me up from a car place who like I think
he kind of tricks out for runners. Then he said
putting some sort of like light I don't know what
the word is, a light bar.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
Do you think that's the farm?

Speaker 5 (06:07):
Yes, somebody someone DM I think the actually in the
am instagram had said tint his windows. That's another good idea, yes.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Because you can tint them to the point where they're
not illegal but close exactly. But I feel like a
light Remember how I've complained about how dark it is
in Marshalls, So maybe a light bar?

Speaker 4 (06:23):
Do I do it on the top or on the front,
because I do.

Speaker 5 (06:25):
Both if you really want to light up the day,
like the night of making it look like daylight, which
I think he'll love because again he's gonna be going
to the woods in dark spots. That's actually a really
good idea, okay. And they usually do a light bull.
They might do a light bull on the top. They
might do a clean one inside the bumpus so you
don't even see it, but you can light it up.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
So I buy light bar and then someone puts it in, yes, okay.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
Usually the spot where you buy it from is going
to get it for you and install it. So if
old Boy already reached out, he's probably gonna do everything
he just came up, you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (06:52):
All Right, maybe I'll like write that in a card
and that light bars lay I love it and the
bop up the bopping, So.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
Happy birthday.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Here's a happy birthday. There's a light bar and a bop.

Speaker 5 (07:06):
Oh wait, Rihanna, wait.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
Wait wait, sorry, I gotta do this again. Pop's gonna
kill her. Come on, Sorry, sorry, I'll make the joke again.
The light bar and.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Mop I teased this earlier re re blessing us brand
new music. Now this is from the Smurfs film because
she's in it. The song is called friend of Mine.
She hasn't given us music, you know, the last seven
hundred and fifty years. You know, I would have liked
a few more words, but nonetheless, it's Rihanna and it's

(07:37):
music all in one.

Speaker 4 (07:38):
Here is a friend of mine.

Speaker 7 (07:40):
Especially in the jam In Morning Show with Foreign it's.

Speaker 8 (07:43):
Saunty When you need to know, we got you three
things you need to know on Boston's number one for
hip hop and the best throwbags. She haven't any more vibes?

Speaker 3 (07:55):
All right, everybody, Friday, May sixteenth, and you gotta love
a Friday or the heartbeat. It is exciting game at
six tonight, eight o'clock tip in New York City.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
We've talked about this team over.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
The week at like legit nauseum with everything that's happened
to Jason Tatum and I think a lot of people
including Science Jolio just counting the Celtics out. But Jaylen
Brown wants everybody know they're not done.

Speaker 5 (08:19):
I know it's easy to kind of write things off.

Speaker 9 (08:22):
Obviously unfortunate what happened in JT, but we still got
basketball to be played.

Speaker 5 (08:28):
You know, I believe in his group, so you know,
don't count us out just yet.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
No, I mean, I will say his tone in this
sounds very confidential, like I'm leaning more towards the other side.
But I still think they're gonna lose by one or
two points.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
I was telling my mother last night, and I think
I said this to you guys yesterday they grab one
at the Garden Game one, game two. I think we're
having a much different conversation. But they really have put
themselves in the worst possible position, and now we're going
into New York for a do or die game at
you know, their home court, with the celebrity row and

(09:01):
all of the craziness with the Knicks fans. But that
doesn't mean there's not a chance. And that's why we
play the game so very exciting.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Technically, they proven that they can win with tatus they had.
That's positive.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
They play like they did Wednesday, so you're saying there's
a chance.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
A PM tonight, very exciting cells Game six against the
Knicks I'm assuming in front of one Timothy Chalmer.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
All right, let's go to the retrial. In detim.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Yesterday we heard a ton from medical examiner doctor Irene
Scoredy Bellow. You know, she kind of was explaining what
it was like to do her autopsy report on John O'Keefe.
She said he died of quote, blunt impact injuries to
the head and hypothermia. Now, there was so much back

(09:48):
and forth between the cross examination and the prosecution, just
asking so, I know you said this, but couldn't have
meant that. Oh well, I know you said hypo from this,
but could hypothermia also happen? Because of that? It was extensive,
it was long. It was a lot of back and forth.
I also noticed a few times when they would show

(10:12):
images up on the screen, they would go to Canoni
and she would say, I'd like to warn the jurors.
You know, these images are considered graphic. And after the
day in court was over, I was doing some reading
and at one point they were looking at John O'Keefe's
dissected stomach inside.

Speaker 4 (10:32):
You know who I think of every time Peg Oh, I.

Speaker 5 (10:35):
Know she has to sit there.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
His mother having to sit there. I mean they showed
his face, which, by the way, you can find online.
You can find the photos of his arms, of his legs,
of his face, which are horrible and hard to look at.
But yeah, they wanted to show like the small, dark
areas of hemorrhaging that he had inside of his stomach,
and they they were shown that.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
I have to assume that PEG's not going to look
at that. But at the same time, you're still in
there and you're hearing it. That's still impactful, and like
that hurts.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Yeah, because I you know, and I think Bev even
said it at one point, you have to kind of
take away either side and just really try to imagine
this as just a person and this is what this
person's injuries looked like. How does that play to whichever
theory or side you're leaning.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
To as a juror.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
And you know, I'll say it and I think this
is going to upset the one side. But I don't
feel like we got anything concrete yesterday. It's not like
she sat up there and was like, with one hundred
percent certainty, I can say that these injuries resemble a
car accidents.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
It's not.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
She didn't say one hundred percent certainty these injuries tell
me that he was beat to death to a bloody
pulp inside of thirty four fair View and they drug
him out onto the launch. She couldn't say with one
hundred percent certainty anything and or how they happened, but
she did confirm she believes he died of blunt impact

(12:04):
injuries to the head and hypothermia.

Speaker 9 (12:07):
What I look for is some sort of ruise either
on the outside of the leg or bleeding on the
inside after the skin is reflected in the soft tissues,
or any fracture of the bones of the legs. I

(12:29):
did not observe those things.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
She also said that those scrapes that you know, the
famous scrapes on John O'Keeffe's arms, she said they didn't
like they weren't deep.

Speaker 4 (12:39):
They were kind of I don't want to use the surface.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Yeah, that cut on the back of his head was
pretty long.

Speaker 4 (12:46):
It was a pretty long cut. I don't know how
deep that cut was.

Speaker 10 (12:50):
But.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
I think I've seen the Free Karen readers saying that
they thought they got a win yesterday in court, but
I don't know. I don't feel like we got anything
specific enough where I could say either side which I
guess then does play to the defense.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
I mean, I've seen the cut on the back of
his head and it's and it doesn't make me feel
like it's definitive on either way too, Like did he
get beat up? I don't know, I can't really see him.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
Or did he get hit by a car and fall
in it?

Speaker 1 (13:15):
I don't I don't know.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
Yeah, I don't know either. So either way, we will
be back.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
In court this morning on this show and in detum
Our Guy Nick Rocco will join us at seven point
thirty to talk this week in court with the Karen
Reid retrial.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
All right, let's go to New York for the Diddy trial.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
Cassie was on the cross, and you know, Fid and
I were kind of chatting about this yesterday. What what
way was the defense going to try to spin this
and or make it look like this was consensual?

Speaker 4 (13:53):
And they did it by.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
Reading Cassie's messages email with Diddy and certainly aiming to
portray that this relationship was consensual. I mean, they certainly
have text messages of her asking for freak offs, saying
she wants to do certain things, and so you know,

(14:16):
she kind of combated that with. Well, these occurred within
the context of manipulation and control.

Speaker 4 (14:22):
I felt like I had to.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
At one point, she was she said she couldn't read
the text because they were funny to her, like they
were making her laugh and she couldn't read them well,
like sheouldn't stand they were like it gave me, like
Brian Higgins, Karen read vibes.

Speaker 5 (14:38):
Okay. She was asking and requesting for a lot of times. Yeah,
she was.

Speaker 11 (14:43):
You know.

Speaker 5 (14:43):
He would be like, yo, are you ready for a
freak off?

Speaker 3 (14:45):
She's like, hell, yeah, I am, yeah, And I wanted
to be yes, she said, uncontrolled, uncontrolled.

Speaker 5 (14:51):
I wanted to be uncontrolled. I wanted you know, she
would say, she would say some things she was a freak,
the freaky. Listen.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
It doesn't help her side, but this wouldn't be the
first time that somebody was controlling a person to the
point where they were believing some of this stuff.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
At times I sent foreign for we'll get it for
the next hour. I had just DMed it to you foreign, uh,
because you know, inside the courtroom, it's it's we can't
see anything, but it's a lot of media and a
guy who was inside the courtroom yesterday kind of he
felt like it was a win for Didy yesterday and
a win for the defense because Cassie was cross examined
by a female, and he just felt like that played

(15:28):
to you know, we're not here to attack you. You know,
you and I are both women. I'm so sorry for
what you went through. Very soft, but let's but then,
but then there was a build up and it was
interesting to hear him kind of talk like that because
again we have to remember with this trial with Karen Reid,
like each side think Brennan has a job to do,
but so does Alan Jackson. So I think that was

(15:50):
a big thing in Corey yesterday.

Speaker 5 (15:51):
There was a point where the lawyer was like, Yo,
if you don't want to read them, I can read
them for you.

Speaker 4 (15:55):
That's what I was saying.

Speaker 5 (15:56):
Yeah, she laughed.

Speaker 4 (15:57):
She was like, I felt feel weird that they're funny to.

Speaker 5 (15:59):
Me, and she did. I wonder if that's the female.
Remember did he hire a lawyer that also had gone
through abuse? Yeah, that was the headline. One of his
lawyers also was abused yea at some point. So I
wonder if that was her and they're using her to
kind of be relatable to cass You know.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
Cassie is also extremely pregnant, So Cassie is working against
the clock. The Cross has to finish with her today
because they were told initially by the judge, you have
this one week with Cassie and then that's it. So
I'm you know, I don't know where Cassie was going
to be on the list of witnesses. I would assume
maybe towards the end for a real like punch. But

(16:36):
Cassie's she could have that baby today, she could have
had it last night. So the clock is working against
any testimony with Cassie. She, by the way, did also
say that did he overdosed on painkillers in twenty twelve.
I think, you know, people might think there's going to
be some sort of drop off after Cassie's coming off
this stand, but there's not. Don Richard was confirmed to

(16:57):
be up next, then potentially Aubrey o Day. Remember Dawn
from Danity. Kine filed a suit against Diddy in twenty
twenty four, claiming assault, claiming that he groped her, and
claiming that he imprisoned her when she wouldn't listen to him.
She also says she's witnessed to Ditty abusing and beating Cassie.

Speaker 4 (17:18):
So I don't really feel like there's going to be much.

Speaker 5 (17:20):
Of a drop off because.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Potentially after dawn it's Aubrey O Day, and we've been
saying Aubrey's been singing from.

Speaker 5 (17:28):
The rooftop, she can't wait, She's salvating at the chance.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
Also a big thing with the Ditty trial yesterday, Justin
bieber spokesperson made a statement because.

Speaker 4 (17:40):
Remember there's a lot of chatter that.

Speaker 3 (17:44):
Justin Bieber was groomed by Diddy, that he was at
these parties. Justin Bieber was on Ditty at such a
young age. Did he discovered Justin Bieber all of the things?
And a spokesperson for Justin Bieber came out and said,
although Justin is not among Sean Combe's victims, they were
in individuals who were genuinely harmed by him. Shifting focus
away from this reality distracts from the justice these victims

(18:06):
rightfully deserve. So Justin Bieber's like, leave me out of it.
I'm actually poor and.

Speaker 4 (18:11):
I oh, Scooter brought a lot of money and I'm
not dealing with this.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
All right, There's three things you need to know for
Friday May sixteenth. Don't forget about the pod. That is
the most simple way to catch up on the show.
I'm gonna let you take it from here and so
on and just explain it because I'm still getting DM
so people thinking that forearn is like trying to slight people.
I only go to Santy because you were here for
the meeting when Tony.

Speaker 4 (18:32):
Talked to you. But Born's not doing his job.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
So we post a podcast now in two parts, part one,
in part two, so we do the hours of six
to eight and then eight to ten. We were doing
that because we are cutting down on the amount of
commercials we are feeding you. Prior to this, we broke
out every single break we did on the air. It
was a lot up there, but there was a lot
of commercials too, which.

Speaker 3 (18:51):
Yes, And when we had this meeting, I was reminded
everybody that listens to the show, you guys are such
creatures of habit, which as am I and I remember,
when we stopped podcast just the full show and we
started doing the breakdowns, people hated that.

Speaker 4 (19:03):
Yeah, they didn't like that we made.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
It little and then now so you're always going to
have the option to listen to the show in its
entirety the full show. But this way, if we give
you two options of breaking it down, there's less commercials,
which nobody want.

Speaker 5 (19:16):
No listening commercials. Yeah, it's easy listening. I think one
pot is going to be about an now we the
next pot is going to be about a half. You know,
if you see pot one of potswo or if you
land on pot two, just find the pot one and yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (19:28):
No one likes excep these ones. These commercials like.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
Day and the Jamie Morning Show with d J four
and it's saw t Morning Cousin's.

Speaker 8 (19:38):
Number one for hip hop jam in ninety four or five.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
Sons shooting a rocco at texts, you just uh, Nick
will be on at seven thirty.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
Guys, he just actually text.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
Us to confirm.

Speaker 4 (19:50):
Obviously we would never miss it for a second.

Speaker 5 (19:53):
We have much to ask.

Speaker 4 (19:56):
The kettle overflow with at the mayor.

Speaker 5 (20:02):
What oh I did not see I saw this. I
was like, wait a minute. So instead of fixing roads
over here, like telling each other what's going on.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
The best part about this, in my personal whole opinion,
is that the woman that attacked a police officer is
in charge of the oversight of the city's police department, and.

Speaker 5 (20:20):
She okay, like, clearly she's not qualified.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
I actually don't ever do it like this, but I
want to read you guys the actual article because I
was giggling reading this, Okay. Boston may Or Michelle Wu
reacts after two members of her administration, including one working
with the office providing civilian oversight of the city's police department,
who were put on unpaid leave after a domestic violence incident. Obviously,

(20:45):
the allegations are incredibly disturbing, said Wu. It's never okay
to harm a police officer or to harm any member
of our community.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
So here's what we got.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
Twenty six years old, Marwa is accused of assaulting a
police officer. Actually called police to her boyfriend's in a
town apartment, but she and her boyfriend are.

Speaker 4 (21:02):
Also accused of assaulting each other.

Speaker 5 (21:04):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
She is the chief of staff for the city's Office
of Police Accountability and while the guy is the neighborhood
business manager for the city's Economic Development Office. According to
the report, she told officers that her boyfriend had cheated
on her, so she decided to go on a date

(21:26):
with his boss earlier in the evening, and wish and
when she got back to the apartment, he took her
phone in her keys, he held onto her wrists and
he wouldn't let her go, and she said, I was
biting him in self defense.

Speaker 4 (21:40):
He was covered with bite wounds.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
She of course, is accused of hitting the police officer
as she blocked the door, and both the city workers
are now being put on leave. She's accused of saying,
we both work for the city, so this is unnecessary,
while they were being arrested.

Speaker 4 (21:57):
And that's the one that's gonna get you.

Speaker 3 (21:59):
You can't us we work for the city, honey, you
work for police accountability, and you attacked a cop.

Speaker 5 (22:05):
Dude, she's the cops, and then fight the cops take
him away, right, yeah, they can't be like you called
the cops on him. So what do you think was
gonna happen?

Speaker 3 (22:16):
Right, You guys both got arrested because you called the
cops because you were attacking each other.

Speaker 4 (22:21):
That's the craziest.

Speaker 5 (22:22):
So she.

Speaker 4 (22:24):
Accuses him of cheating. She thinks he's cheating.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
So then she calls up his boss, which, by the way,
we don't have that name yet because clearly that person
works for the city, too, true, and then the boss
and her go out a date to piss him off.

Speaker 4 (22:37):
So she comes home and probably throws it in his face.

Speaker 1 (22:39):
And I think you can assume that she was probably
being a little like fourth right with like giving it
up on that night too, just to get him back.

Speaker 5 (22:45):
So, like what I read, he saw that they had
booked a hotel.

Speaker 4 (22:49):
Yeah, yeah, we don't. We don't have the boss's name
yet release it.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
Can we like do a background check on who we
hired to work at the city, especially if you're working
with the police. This girl is clearly nuts. Yeah, we
all know my feelings on Michelle.

Speaker 5 (23:03):
This doesn't help you don't like Michelle.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
Well, here's the thing, Jonathan Kraft may have just gotten
like the win here. This is what's going on with
with like with just the Woo's.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
This is insane, Like how you're going to be in
charge of holding police officers accountabilities and then you attack one.

Speaker 5 (23:19):
Yeah, when you called them.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
But the problem is is she tried to do the flex,
trying to tell him that we work for the state
and we work for the city, Like you can't do that.

Speaker 3 (23:27):
It gives do you not do you not know who
I am? I'm a celebrity, I.

Speaker 4 (23:32):
Work for I work for Mayor Michelle Wu.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
I can probably I can justify the celebrity party and
understand that. But you're like a city workers, not even
like you're like you're important, but you're not important.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
I mean even delete the fact that they work for
the city office.

Speaker 5 (23:45):
Like, this is messy.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
It finds out he's cheating or she believes, so she
is like, how do I how do I cut deep?

Speaker 4 (23:51):
Let me call up his boss.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
Which makes you think they probably had a relationship before.

Speaker 4 (23:58):
Yeah, because you can't just don't work like that. Yeah, yeah,
trying to get out.

Speaker 5 (24:03):
She was laying the ground that's right. He wanted to
hurt your soul. Here we go. Yeah, she was.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
Laying the groundwork on that one. Because there's this You
can't just call somebody up and be like, take me
on the date because they all work together. It's a
city love triangle.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
Yeah, that guy is hoping his name like doesn't get out,
but it's going to Yeah because boss probably got some
going on himself.

Speaker 5 (24:25):
Family. Imagine that's a bigger scandal.

Speaker 4 (24:30):
Or imagine it's mere wu.

Speaker 5 (24:32):
Oh could you imagine? I don't think she got time. Yeah,
that's on a hip fighting.

Speaker 4 (24:40):
A campaign too.

Speaker 3 (24:40):
She's in the midst Obviously, the biting I can't stand for, like,
you can't.

Speaker 5 (24:45):
Be out here, no, no, no, But she was defending himself.
So because again what I read was like.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
Yeah, he was holding down her.

Speaker 5 (24:52):
The pops showed up, yeah, screaming and heard her saying,
get off me, get off me. And then when they
found them both he had bite marks.

Speaker 4 (24:58):
Yeah, because he tried to take her key and something else.

Speaker 5 (25:03):
Why attack the cop too, He said, to help you
because I bet you they were getting ready to arrest him,
and she went psycle again. I was like, oh my god,
they're really gonna arrest this dude. This is gonna ruin
his career. And she tries to intervene. Did you like
a lady, you called us? We see, Yeah, it can't
beat us taking him, and he wants to jump on
the cops and we're like, oh, type, you shouldn't have
called the cops in the.

Speaker 4 (25:23):
First Yes, and their mugshots they wore looking the shovels.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
Okay, because now now now it's going to get out
who this third person is. It might not get to
the news because the boss didn't get arrested, but it's
gonna get out yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
Especially, I mean, I have to assume that all these
people are gonna not have a job.

Speaker 5 (25:38):
I was about to say, you think they get fired.
I think they do negative press.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
What's wild is all these people that work for the
city got to go to work today. Can you imagine
a gossip in that building like we have. We have
office gossip here, but it's not on the levels of
like office triangles unless there was one back in the day.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
There have been plenty like back in the day, but
there's nothing that got physical like this though. Yeah, but
I feel like there's always a fair is happening right
in the office?

Speaker 5 (26:02):
Is now you're always.

Speaker 4 (26:03):
Yeah, I mean for sure back in the day.

Speaker 5 (26:06):
Back in the day, they were a long, they were
a ton.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
And even at the other place where I work that
I was getting calls from one person's wife because he
was off having an affair with somebody in the office.
And I'm trying to cover and play like just the middle.

Speaker 5 (26:17):
No, don't believe in every company theys something sneaky on on. No,
I do. Yeah, and every company someone's sneaking with somebody somewhere.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
Yeah, nature, yeah, I'll give you that, especially because you're
spending so much time with that person.

Speaker 5 (26:33):
It's not why are you looking at me like?

Speaker 4 (26:35):
Are you looking at me like?

Speaker 5 (26:36):
It's not us? Don't you call yourselves like work husband.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
It's a saying. It's a saying work, husband and work.
Don't don't bring us in on the try car dam.

Speaker 5 (26:48):
In ninety four five traffic.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
We're still looking pretty good on one twenty at southbound,
just some minor delays before ninety three ninety three southbound
stop and go traffic, getting through the Medford Stretch and
Root one southbound looking good top the bottom, all the
way down to the two.

Speaker 3 (27:00):
All right, babes, here's what the next half hour ish
is gonna look like. We're gonna do three things you
need to know, followed by Boston Calling Music Festival tickets
around seven twenty. Our guy Nick Rocco cour Insider will
join us at seven point thirty ish. That way we
can kind of be up to date on what's been
going on in the Karen Reid retrial, and around that

(27:20):
time you will hear Rihanna's brand new song friend of
Mine from the Smurfs again.

Speaker 5 (27:27):
Game CARCAMEU.

Speaker 4 (27:28):
Yeah. I.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
We had a whole discussion yesterday about what the Smurfs do,
and Ford's like, so, let me get this straight.

Speaker 4 (27:35):
They're just fighting for the life every day, Like what
kind of life is that?

Speaker 5 (27:38):
It's like the apocalypse basically.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
Yeah, And Gargamell is so stupid you can't figure out out.

Speaker 4 (27:42):
But the Smurf looks so happy.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
In Rihanna's music video, she's dancing around a Smurf like
in a Little Blue Why are they blue?

Speaker 1 (27:49):
Why are they never went into like their history and
why they're blue? That's just what they are. But they
are genuinely happy. They're always like celebrating and Papa Smurf
sometimes to get to get to an attitude, but for
the most part, they're positive.

Speaker 3 (28:02):
Yeah, and because we're here via our conversation yesterday, it
also came up which blew my mind. I want to
maybe blowsm other people's mind. Alf was an alien that eight.

Speaker 5 (28:13):
Cats a dog.

Speaker 4 (28:18):
Really do still kind of doe?

Speaker 1 (28:20):
Alf was a killer? Do you really think about it?

Speaker 5 (28:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (28:24):
Eight snow real quick, love killing Katies real quick.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
Come Morning, Ashley and the.

Speaker 5 (28:29):
Jam with DJ Foign and Sonty.

Speaker 8 (28:32):
When you need to know, No, we got you Three
things you need to Know on Boston's Number one for
Hip Hop and the Best Throwbags You haven't any more?

Speaker 3 (28:40):
Five all right Babes, Friday, May sixteenth. This happened later
in the show yesterday. All of a sudden, we're sitting here,
we're looking and there it is a mug shot of
Chris Brown. See Breezy was arrested yesterday morning in Manchester,
not to be confused with.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
New Hampshire, England.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
Source to say he was detained around two am at
his hotel.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
He was apprehended in connection to.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
An attack on a music producer at a nightclub wait
for It, in February of twenty twenty three. I guess
Chris allegedly hit him with a bottle. He was taken
in on suspicions, suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
Clearly they were waiting for him, and clearly Chris.

Speaker 5 (29:24):
No idea this was going to happen.

Speaker 3 (29:25):
Yeah, it's that he arrived in match by h PJ.
His tour dates in Europe began on June eighth. We
know he's traveling for his tour, So yeah, this was
a this was a ticking time bomb working against Chris
because they were like, okay, we know his tour schedule.
The second this man lands, we're gonna surprise him, We're
going to get him.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
Why not like to reach out to him and give him,
not give him the heads up, it's be like, hey,
we're charging you with this, because it seems like it
was kind of dune shady.

Speaker 5 (29:47):
No. No, I mean, if there's a warrant in the country,
there's a warrant in the country, gonna give Chris not know.
Back then, they probably reached out to his lawyer and
it was ignored.

Speaker 1 (29:57):
Well, I guess that's my point, Like, you know, when
you you're about to get arrested.

Speaker 3 (30:02):
Maybe in twenty twenty three they were like they're just
flexing on as it's not actually serious. At two am
it became serious.

Speaker 5 (30:09):
Definitely ignored whatever whatever because he had to get hit
with some kind of summons and they probably just ignored
the letter.

Speaker 3 (30:14):
Was like, oh now, the real question today is he
still locked up or is he O?

Speaker 5 (30:18):
I don't know. I don't know how the bail works
out there.

Speaker 3 (30:21):
Maybe check his check his IG form while we're chatting
to see if he's posted like I'm free.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
I mean it's the mineral of the day there, so yeah,
he should be out right, it.

Speaker 4 (30:28):
Should be out.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
But but by the way, in the article that I read,
it never said that he got out.

Speaker 5 (30:32):
He's still locked up. No recently broke down palace, but
I assumed the prison.

Speaker 4 (30:39):
They're nicer. Chris here, all right.

Speaker 3 (30:42):
We got a new traili that dropped for an upcoming
documentary on the flicks. You know we love docs around here.
It's going to be entitled train Wreck. The Astro World
Tragedy documentary is going to feature first person accounts. We're
gonna have phone calls interviews about the Astro World crowd crush.

Speaker 4 (31:01):
In twenty twenty one.

Speaker 5 (31:02):
This is so crazy too, because you almost forget.

Speaker 3 (31:04):
Killed ten people, ten people and left hundreds of people injured.
A press release says, quote The Astra World Tragedy takes
an exclusive look at the night told from the perspective
of the survivors, paramedics, and security staff that were at
the center of this catastrophe.

Speaker 5 (31:20):
If Travis Scott live is an experience, his fans look
at him like he's the Messiah of music. Astrowood fests
with a concert that you didn't want to miss.

Speaker 7 (31:28):
There in Houston.

Speaker 5 (31:29):
We don't get a lot of festivals. We were still
like people are ready to party.

Speaker 8 (31:33):
You talk to any high schooler in Houston, they're talking
about this concert.

Speaker 5 (31:40):
Tickets sold out in thirty minutes.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
I just thought I had to be there where you
planned everything out, outfits shades.

Speaker 4 (31:47):
There was a huge buzz about it.

Speaker 5 (31:49):
Let's go get it.

Speaker 7 (31:50):
It's about to go down.

Speaker 5 (31:51):
As soon as they let the gates open, they lost
all control of the entry points. It was just overwhelmed chaos.

Speaker 4 (32:01):
You can do whatever you want because you're in ash world.

Speaker 5 (32:06):
There was a countdown clock until Travis Scott came out.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
And that's why it started getting pretty hectic.

Speaker 5 (32:11):
And I'm like, oh my god, I can't I can't take.

Speaker 4 (32:13):
A deep breath.

Speaker 5 (32:15):
The music started playing and you just felt your whole
body just move forward.

Speaker 3 (32:18):
Became overwhelming real fast.

Speaker 5 (32:20):
And then the wave comes back.

Speaker 4 (32:23):
I fell on something. I fell on someone because because
people were falling on me.

Speaker 5 (32:33):
That was crazy, man, dude, I just called their chills.

Speaker 3 (32:37):
How crazy is that that, all of a sudden, you're
at a concert and then you can't breathe because you're
being crushed by people. Remember the videos of people scaling
the fences to get in.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
And clearly they weren't prepared for that many at all
people not even closes.

Speaker 3 (32:49):
No, the final wrongful death lawsuit against Trav and Live
Nation was settled back in May of last year. But yeah,
I mean it was Chad was down and out for
a while. I think he's on the up and up.
And there was a great debate as to how much
accountability did Travis Scott need to take for this.

Speaker 5 (33:10):
People fought about that for a very long time.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
I mean, he was unaware that there were that many
people scaling the walls and all that, sof so when
he was saying to Rage like he really didn't understand, right.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
Dare I say that that show really changed the trajectory
of a lot of shows thereafter, because I feel like
artists will stop down for anything now because they're not
playing these games.

Speaker 5 (33:29):
Ever since then, even smaller venues like Big nine Live,
they all security will have cases of water in the
front and if they see anybody in trouble, they're like, yo,
anybody needs water, and they take them out, they give
them to the crowd, they pass it along.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
Artists have literally stopped down shows to be like, what's
going on?

Speaker 4 (33:45):
Is everybody okay? Train wreck?

Speaker 3 (33:47):
The Astraorld tragedy premieres on Netflix June the tenth.

Speaker 4 (33:51):
All right, let's go to Dedham.

Speaker 3 (33:53):
Yesterday, we learned from medical examiner doctor Irene Scorty Bello.
I remember Nick talking about her in the first trial.
She was the medical examiner that did the examination on
John O'Keefe, initially did his autopsy report.

Speaker 4 (34:12):
You know, again, the narrative.

Speaker 3 (34:14):
Yesterday, I saw a lot of people being like, big
win for the defense, big win for the defense. And
I could see that because we never got a distinct
without any you know, any rebuttals.

Speaker 4 (34:26):
Yes, it was a car.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
Yes, this these injuries look consistent with what I've seen
when I do autopsies on people that were in car accidents. Yes,
one hundred percent. This autopsy is exactly what I see.
What I see people are in bar fights or fights
in their home like that. She just couldn't do it.
She said he died of blunt impact injuries to the
head and hypothermia. It was a lot of back and
forth between the prosecution and the defense. Well, you said hypothermia,

(34:49):
but could it have been from this? I also, personally,
this is just me a civilian watching this. Yesterday learned
that a lot of John's injuries came from resuscitation, them
trying to save him.

Speaker 4 (35:05):
Like she would show many many of his cuts.

Speaker 3 (35:07):
Okay, this is consistent with when we see paramedics do ABCD.
This injury is consistent when we see paramedics try to
do ABC. So I learned that yesterday, Yes, because you know,
when they're doing the pads and trying to bring people back,
cutting open shirts, whatever the case may be, one of
which was his rips got cracked. Yeah, and she said

(35:29):
that is very consistent with CPR and paramedic work that
has to be done, you know, in transport on the
way to the hospital. You know, I think it was
a lot for the jury, most likely yesterday because some
of the images of John O'Keefe that they were looking at,
you know, not to be too graphic, but one was
his dissected stomach that they had to see, his face,

(35:52):
his arms, his legs. When I was watching, they would
just really kind of show like the character. We didn't
see much. We saw his arm, I believe his leg.
But you know, you think about his family in there,
You think about peg having.

Speaker 4 (36:04):
To see all of this again.

Speaker 3 (36:06):
It's a lot, but you know, listen, I'm sure Nick
Rokko is taking it as a win in the win
column yesterday, but anxious to see what he thinks about
not only Irene Scuirdybello's testimony, but I'm anxious to hear
what he says about John O'Keefe's niece's testimony because a
lot of people are talking about that as well.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
I don't remember from the first time around them talking
about the paramedics hurting John or like what happened to
the body, So that.

Speaker 5 (36:29):
To me is like news. Yeah, I don't I don't
remember them showing those graphic pictures neither.

Speaker 4 (36:33):
Yeah, I mean I gotta believe they right.

Speaker 3 (36:36):
Yeah, you know there was a point there where she said,
if you don't want to look up business Bevknona. You
don't want to look it up, you don't look the image,
you don't have to, but they will be put in
a folder and you will have to look.

Speaker 5 (36:44):
At them because they're that bad.

Speaker 3 (36:46):
Well, yeah, it's important, Yeah, you know, you have to
see them. So Nick Roko will break down that and
more for us right around seven point thirty. That is
three things need to know for Friday, May sixteenth, in
the maintime Memorial Day weekend is literally next weekend, which
is wild. So six one seven nine three one one
nine five. Color twenty five we're hooking up with two
three day general admission passes to the Boston Calling Music Festival,

(37:08):
T Paine, Public Enemy, tlc Luke, Colmb's Fallout Boy, Avri Lavine,
Dave Matthews Band, just to name a few.

Speaker 5 (37:15):
Color twenty five are going to.

Speaker 8 (37:16):
Look Rix next up with Ashley and the jam In
Morning Show with DJ Florid and Sansi.

Speaker 3 (37:23):
All Right, everybody, Kerrie and Lowell is our winner right there.
Kerrie is going to go to the Boston Calling Music Festival.
We will run that thing back at eight twenty. Hand
you tickets in because, believe it or not, Memorial Day
weekend is days away.

Speaker 4 (37:35):
We're about a week away.

Speaker 5 (37:36):
It's so exciting.

Speaker 3 (37:38):
Earlier this morning and we told you that re re
blessed us overnight with a brand new song. I mean
it's been umpteen years since we've gotten a song from Rihanna.

Speaker 4 (37:48):
She is going to be in the.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
Brand new Smurfs film. That's where you can find the
song and see it. She also did a music video
for where she turns into a smurfet.

Speaker 5 (37:56):
Yes is that the that's exactly it.

Speaker 4 (37:58):
Okay, the technical term a smurf fats.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
By the way, I think there's only one. I think
there is smurfats.

Speaker 5 (38:04):
She is the Smurfests. I think she's the only one.

Speaker 4 (38:07):
There's only one female and a smurf village.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
You should double check that, but I think there's only one.

Speaker 4 (38:12):
How do they pro create?

Speaker 5 (38:14):
They're smart technical. I don't know are there smurf.

Speaker 4 (38:18):
Babies because I'm trying to figure.

Speaker 5 (38:20):
This outies they never explained that to me. Ye, smurf
until the creation of Sassetti. Is that how you said?

Speaker 4 (38:28):
What gargemels stopping females from getting in there?

Speaker 5 (38:31):
She's like the Queen Bee. She just pro crease. And
then a Brandy Smurf was late.

Speaker 4 (38:36):
It makes sense.

Speaker 5 (38:37):
Yeah, she was the only one. I've seen videos like this.

Speaker 3 (38:41):
So smurf babies just come from thin air, I guess,
and they're blue. Well, here you have it, everybody, brand new,
Rihanna blessing us with six words.

Speaker 4 (38:50):
It's called Friend of Mine.

Speaker 5 (38:53):
And the Morning Show with d J four and it's Satin's.

Speaker 8 (38:58):
Number one for hip hop jam and night floor five.

Speaker 4 (39:03):
Hi, everybody, good morning.

Speaker 3 (39:07):
I've said it before, and I'm sure I'll say it
a million times more. I think we could get an
actual ring camera video of John O'Keeffe being drug from
thirty four very or the opposite. We could get an
actual ring camera footage of Karen Reid hitting John O'Keefe,
and Nick Roco would be able to swing it. Nick
Rocco should be a lawyer by the end of this.

(39:29):
He you were not in court all week because you
know what he was doing for and he was physically
in debt.

Speaker 4 (39:34):
Him doing live Court TV.

Speaker 3 (39:37):
That's our guy. You're mister TV man. Now, thank you
for not being too big for your friends here.

Speaker 7 (39:42):
Okay, no, never, never, So.

Speaker 4 (39:47):
What was the vibe with Court TV? How is everybody feeling?

Speaker 12 (39:51):
So?

Speaker 7 (39:52):
I mean, usually when I go on Court TV, it's always, uh,
you know, either two against one or three against one.
But this time of any polity is in debt him
that he's usually down in Atlanta, Georgia. So he came
up for the week and we've been filming every night
eight o'clock and nine o'clock down at the TLT studio
in debtum. Doing debating this case in person is a

(40:17):
lot easier than doing it in bubbles on a con
because you can, you know, you can kind of get
the vibe, you can see how people are reacting. And
this is in front of a live studio audience too,
so you have people asking questions, see you live, And
I would say, you know, ninety five percent of the
people that are showing up to these live events are
all in support of Karen Reid.

Speaker 4 (40:39):
Interesting.

Speaker 3 (40:39):
I was going to ask that, but obviously it doesn't
make for good TV if we're all just holding hands
and seeing kumbaya and saying she was framed. There has
to be somebody in there that's like on Nick.

Speaker 7 (40:50):
Yeah, I mean, you definitely have people on the panel
who believe that, you know, Karen read struck Juhn with
the vehicle, But as far as the people showing up
to the to the audience, it's majority of supporters.

Speaker 3 (41:04):
Yeah, okay, Well, let's talk this week in court. I
know it'll be obviously starting here in about an hour
and a half. We had let's just start with like
the spectacles of the week, because we had a lot
of things happen. First and foremost, we skipped a day
because we did end up finding out via the news
that Karen was sick, not doing well. She took the
day off, but she was in court the next day

(41:25):
seemingly fine.

Speaker 4 (41:26):
So it's, you know, good that Karen's on the up
and up.

Speaker 3 (41:29):
We also had the clip of Bev Cononi potentially saying
a certain word that we can't say on the radio
that started with a s s.

Speaker 4 (41:40):
I'm gonna play the clip.

Speaker 5 (41:42):
I need to be heard at side park. I don't
see you.

Speaker 4 (41:51):
What do you take from that?

Speaker 3 (41:52):
Nick? I mean, are they It never got brought up again.
It happened and it kind of went away.

Speaker 7 (41:58):
Yeah, I mean percent absolutely does not like this defense team.
You can even tell when specific lawyers asked her sidebar,
she's like, not right now, or you know, we'll do
it later. But when the prosecution asks for anything, she's
all here, she's welcoming it. Just it just shows more

(42:18):
to her bias that she doesn't like this team.

Speaker 3 (42:21):
I do feel like, you know, certain people on the defense,
not necessarily Alan Jackson, because I feel like Alan works
up to getting an attitude, but ULESSI sometimes pops up there.

Speaker 5 (42:32):
And he's like, good morning, So I have a question.

Speaker 4 (42:34):
It's like, sir, I mean, give us a second.

Speaker 3 (42:36):
I mean, there's definitely animosity happening in that sort.

Speaker 7 (42:40):
So bob Alessi up until the other day, has only
asked the two sidebars, and Judge Beverly Canoni had said, okay,
this is the last time you're going you know, you're
coming up here, So you know, when he went up there,
obviously he was not happy about that. And whatever was
said at sidebar made Judge Bev come back to the
jury and apologize for the way that she, you know,

(43:02):
was talking to bab Alessi. So whatever was said at sidebar,
he wasn't happy about it because he probably made this point.
I've only asked this whole trial. I've only asked two sidebars,
and you're telling you this is my last one. You
can't do that. You can as many sidebars as you want.
And he personally doesn't like doing it because if I
was a Journey member, I would feel the same way,

(43:22):
like if you keep going a sidebar, like what are
you hiding from us? Why do you guys keep going
up there? Like what is what are you guys talking about?

Speaker 3 (43:28):
You know, I actually never jard about it like that,
but you're right, it's like why do you know? And
by the way, I don't know if this case is
different than others. It's not like I'm watching them all
the time, but I mean we're breaking records though here.

Speaker 4 (43:39):
Sometimes court will start.

Speaker 3 (43:40):
At nine oh one, and by nine oh one thirty
we're already in a sidebar. It's just sidebar central.

Speaker 7 (43:46):
I mean, before nine thirty. The judge comes in, she's like, ah,
you guys want to see me at sidebar? I mean,
this out.

Speaker 3 (43:53):
Of the way, for the love of God, all right,
let's talk witnesses on the stand. I I you know,
I want to start with John O'Keefe's niece because you know,
obviously we weren't allowed to see the testimony, but then
the transcripts came out, and I find this testimony to
be very interesting, Nick, because if we think about it,
John o'keef's niece was the first person to come in

(44:13):
contact with Karen after you know, she pulled away with
whatever happened. She feels away, She goes home, she goes
to sleep, she wakes up, John's not there.

Speaker 4 (44:22):
They were the first people to kind of have any communication.

Speaker 3 (44:26):
And the niece says, and she has stand firm on
that Karen was acting erratic.

Speaker 4 (44:31):
She was saying things like could I have hit him?

Speaker 3 (44:34):
Did I hit him? Did he get hit by a plow?
And you know she also told her to call Jen McCabe.
I she can't be lying, and I don't want to
believe that she'd be lying in part of this big
cover up. I do believe that in those first few
moments Karen may have been so frantic and so so

(44:56):
just out of her mind that she may have said
those things. And I feel like that testimony is powerful.

Speaker 5 (45:01):
What are your thoughts?

Speaker 7 (45:04):
So let's not forget I mean, she was fourteen years
old when when this incident happened around that age, so
you know she's she's kind of had three years of
being around you know, the people who believe that Karen
Reid did this. So to get the testimony from her,
I would take it with kind of look with a

(45:25):
grain of salt, because you don't know, you know, as
a young child is developing, you don't know what is
being told to her about Karen read throughout the past
three years. But also you know, her testimony may have
been powerful, but pictures also tell a story as well.
And you know there are pictures out there where you
know Karen is with them doing things with them, taking

(45:46):
them shopping, so.

Speaker 4 (45:47):
And I believe and I believe she did say that.

Speaker 3 (45:49):
I believe she did say that Karen was a major,
you know, participant in her life and they did things
like that, they went out to eat, they went shopping.
But she also detailed and I don't feel like you
know you're gonna this by any means, because I feel
like we've had detailed conversations about this. Karen and John
O'Keeffe did not have a healthy relationship.

Speaker 4 (46:07):
And I think when this first came out, we were expected.

Speaker 3 (46:10):
To believe that this happy couple that have been together
with two years, like, how could this positive have?

Speaker 4 (46:15):
They weren't good. I mean, for God's sake, she was
hooking up with Brian Higgins a week before.

Speaker 3 (46:19):
They were toxic, And you know, I wasn't shocked when
I heard the niece say that and kind of detail
incidents where they were fighting and such like. They didn't
have this perfect relationship.

Speaker 7 (46:31):
No, I think I think at this point, towards the
end of the relationship, it would have been better if
they had just gone their separate ways. But obviously that
you know, there was still something there. If John O'Keeffe,
you know, was like, hey, you're coming out with us tonight,
and vice versa. Karen was still trying to hang around,
So there was clearly still some connection there. It may

(46:52):
just not have been, you know, the best situation at
the time for them to be together. So as far
as keeping the relationship together, I think it was it
was mutual in the sense of maybe they both wanted
to be together, but they just couldn't be together.

Speaker 4 (47:07):
They just couldn't figure it out.

Speaker 3 (47:09):
All right, let's before we get to the medical examiner,
I do want to talk about that Brian Higgins footage
at the Canton Police Department because I think that was
a big moment.

Speaker 4 (47:19):
You know, never.

Speaker 3 (47:20):
Forget the day after the incident, in the hours of
the morning, Brian Higgins said he went to the Canton
Police Department to quote, move his car from the plow drivers.

Speaker 5 (47:34):
Correct, that was what he said.

Speaker 7 (47:37):
So he yeah, he claims he went to the Canton
Police departments and move vehicles. In his first testimony, he
claimed he was actually he was the first one to
arrive at thirty four Favu Road from leaving the Waterfall
bar because he said that while Mokaus were in the driveway,
he put his plow down and took some snow out
of the driveway, even though at that point there was

(47:57):
less than a half an inch of snow on the ground.
So we know he gets there around midnight. He claims
that he left Brian Albert's home shortly after that because
he only had beer and he didn't have any Jameathan,
so he leaves shortly after I think I believe he
said around twelve forty five. We see him arrive at
the Canton Police Department around one twenty seven in the morning.

(48:17):
The Canton Police Department is about five minutes down the
road from the Albert home. So from twelve forty five
to one twenty seven, where was he Because he was
not at the Canton Police Department, so he either went
for a joy ride or he was still at the
Albert home. Now we see him arrive at one twenty seven.
He goes inside, He goes into a room inside the

(48:39):
police department. He goes back outside at one thirty six.
At this point, he's now on his cell phone making
either a call or he's listening to something. He goes
around to his vehicle, he opens another vehicle, he takes
something out of that vehicle, kind of shuffles around the
pocket lot, but we don't see him on camera really
moving any vehicles. So that was his alibi as to

(49:01):
why he went back to the Canton Police Department. We
don't know exactly what he did when he went there
or what he got when he went there, but during
his testimony he says, I was moving cars. I'm sure
it's on video, and unfortunately for him, it really wasn't
on video.

Speaker 3 (49:16):
Well if something was on video, but it wasn't that.
I never saw a target moved.

Speaker 7 (49:20):
And then here's another thing. So he claims he gets
back to West Roxbury by one forty five in the morning.
It does not He cannot go from Canton pedia at
one thirty six and get home by one forty five
in the morning and sleeping by around you know, I
think he said around Like when he made that butt
dial back to Brian Albert, he said he was sleeping
at that point, right. I highly doubt that.

Speaker 3 (49:41):
Listen, there's some sus things with Brian Higgins. I don't
think anybody is going to argue that or take away
from that. But I also feel like there is a
part of this that somebody could say, well, yeah, Brian
Higgins had some covering up to do because he was
afraid that this affair he was having with Karen Reid
was going to get out. And he was worried about
that because now we have a fallen officer, a fallen

(50:04):
brother who you know, he's going to have to act
like he cared so much about when in reality he
was hooking up with his girlfriend.

Speaker 7 (50:11):
Well, let me ask you this, then, if you were
just hooking up with a girl and you were trying
to cover up that you were hooking up with a
girl when the state please come to you, would you
now have an interview at your lawyer's office with your
lawyer president if you were only trying to cover up
a hookup. I mean, yeah, ever single witness has a

(50:33):
lawyer in this case. Yeah, every single one of them.

Speaker 4 (50:36):
Yeah, No, I get it.

Speaker 3 (50:38):
All right, Let's talk medical examiner because she was on
stand yesterday and I feel like a lot of people,
like I said earlier, the free care and readers were
like it was.

Speaker 4 (50:46):
A win for us, you know.

Speaker 3 (50:48):
Irene Scordi Bellow basically said that John O'Keefe died of
blunt impact injuries to the head and hypothermia. Now she
was asked over and over, like, can you conclusively with
certainty that John died this way, john died that way?
And it didn't seem like she could pointing to either side.

Speaker 7 (51:11):
No, and she she testified pretty much the same exact
way she testified before, and that was that the manner
of death is undetermined. She also stated that when she
was looking at John O'Keefe's body, there is no impact site,
meaning she checks from the waist down, you know, the legs,
no broken bones, no bruises on the body. And this

(51:34):
medical examiner was damning to the commonwealth theory because they're
trying to claim that John o'keep got struck by a vehicle,
but then you have the medical examiner testifying that this
is not These are not common injuries to somebody being
struck by a vehicle.

Speaker 3 (51:50):
But they're also not common injuries to somebody being beat
to death either.

Speaker 4 (51:54):
She wouldn't confirm that either.

Speaker 7 (51:57):
Right because you you ultimately can't say what cause of
that in the back of his head, right because realistically
anything could cause that getting hid in the back of
the head, falling down and hitting your head. But one
of the biggest things that stand out is there's no
grass or dirt on his body. There's none in his wound.
If he fell back and hit his head on the

(52:17):
frozen ground that the Commonwealth is claiming, there would have
been some type of remnant of something in his hair
on his cut because his hat went flying off his head.
So it's not like the hat protected any dirt from
getting in his cut. So something caused that.

Speaker 4 (52:36):
Off head. Was the hat put there?

Speaker 6 (52:39):
If the Commonwealth is saying the hat, you know, after
John o'keef gets struck, his hat goes flying, his shoe
falls off, his arm looks like.

Speaker 7 (52:51):
It got mauled by a dog, but it was really
tail light. Yeah. The medical examiner also was was uh
when she was doing the autopsy. Officer Keith and form
a troop of Proctor were there while she was doing
this autopsy, and in his text message exchanged with us
with the other officers, they were basically telling Michael Procter, Wow,

(53:15):
you couldn't get her to change it to a homicide,
like you should have had me do it. And then
he's calling her a whack job and you know so
so apparently when Michael Proctor doesn't like when women go
against him, their they're whack jobs and they're this and that.
So yeah, it's she she was damning towards the Commonwealth

(53:35):
and and initially that's why Hank Brennan also has another, uh,
not a medical examiner, but a neurosurgeon who works on
you know, who does a lot of brain surgeries. He's
going to have him testify because he knew that uh,
doctor Scooty Bellow was going to really damage his case.

Speaker 3 (53:53):
Beth is in Providence. Beth has a question in regards
to the medical examiner. Beth, go ahead and ask your question.
Your your on Live with Nick Rocco.

Speaker 10 (54:02):
Hey, good morning, Nick. Again.

Speaker 11 (54:04):
I'm gonna hug you when you figure it out. But
you focusing on what Brian Higgins was doing after he
left the house. You're looking at it from a lens
of a guy who doesn't have much game. Ryan clearly
has game with other people's women, and maybe he was
smashing some other Canton housewife, which is also why he
had to throw his phone out. What I'm saying is

(54:26):
when it comes to the.

Speaker 10 (54:27):
FK FK our people is you always focus on some
stupid piece of information instead of timeline and evidence. And
the reason why Karen was out of court the other day,
one thousand percent is because she's feeling it. She knows
that his timeline is so tight.

Speaker 3 (54:46):
Yeah, you're doing You're doing exactly what you're saying Nick
is doing and that that has not been confirmed. But
thank you for whatever your comment was there.

Speaker 7 (54:55):
So first and foremost, she's not feeling anything. That she
has the best defense team you could possibly ask for,
with more reasonable doubt than anybody could potentially bring on
a case. And when there's reasonable doubt, you have to
vote not guilty. But back to Brian Hagen's having gain
what grown man sends a text message saying can you

(55:15):
handle me? I want the real I want the realm?

Speaker 3 (55:19):
And by the way text messages again, when defense starts there,
I'm done.

Speaker 7 (55:27):
And he he persistent, He's persistent on saying what do
you want? What do you want? I want the real deal?

Speaker 3 (55:36):
You think.

Speaker 7 (55:39):
Grown man with no class Because anybody who says can
you handle me, if you're not eighteen years old, you
got some growing up to do.

Speaker 4 (55:50):
Yeah, I stay with you on that rock up.

Speaker 7 (55:53):
So and also you know it's not just focusing on
one specific thing. This is a third party culprit defense.
There are specific people that the defense team believes has
a hand in the murder of John O'Keefe. That's why
specific things are focused on specific people. Yeah, now, and
you want to but one last thing, you want to
talk about the timeline. The timeline does not add up

(56:17):
because you have a trigger event at twelve thirty one
thirty six, and John o'keef is using his cell phones
at twelve thirty two reading text messages and the medical
examiner said that that blow to the back of the
head was incapacitating him. And that's why Hank Brennan and
Aperture now want to change the time of the triggering
event of Karen Reid's vehicle because their timeline does not fit.

Speaker 4 (56:40):
And I want to get to that.

Speaker 3 (56:41):
I also want to say, you know, just like the
people that are on the opposite aisle of this that
believe that Karen Rei did it, you know, you have
to understand, of course Nick is going, that's important to
you where Brian Higgins was when he says he was
doing something and he wasn't. Because you believe this is
a cover up. Those details matter to somebody who thinks
that this is a cover up.

Speaker 4 (57:00):
Sandra is in Norwood. Sandra you know what.

Speaker 3 (57:04):
I thought this was very interesting too, because the medical
examiner was asked what kind of info she was given
before she did her autopsy.

Speaker 12 (57:14):
Good morning, Good morning ladies and gentlemen, Gigi, I asked,
I just have a question for Nick. Good morning. So
I'm not sure if you also during the live stream,
I was in one of the YouTube channels and the
live stream in the trial, and when they asked the

(57:35):
doctor Scrdy Bellow as far as information that she might
have received in regards to I'm not sure if it
was like the events of work, she responded by saying
she got like initial information or there was like an
initial report that he went in the house and there
was the party that he went to in a fight
broke out.

Speaker 4 (57:54):
Thanks for the call, Sandra.

Speaker 7 (57:56):
On the redirect, Hank Brennan got up on the stand
and he said, did you know Caren when you did
your autosy? Did you know? Karen said, I hit him,
I hit him, I hit him. Did you know that?
She called? Terry Robertson said John died he might have
got hit by Applow. Did you know this? Did you
know that? And she said yes. The only thing she
said no to was about Jennifer McKay, the the communication

(58:21):
Karen he had with Jennifer McKay. But other than that,
everything that Hank Brennan was hoping, Doctor Scodie Bellow did
not know about She knew about it, and she still
could not confirm that this was a homicide and that
it was an undetermined death because the the injuries to
John's body just don't add up to a vehicle strike.

(58:41):
And one last thing I will say is when when
people do call, I would love for people to bring
me facts and not not not your opinions, because because
the Commonwealth doesn't really have fa
