Speaker 1 (00:00):
Actually in the Jamie Mon Show with DJ Foreign and
Santy when.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
You need to know me know, we got you three
things you need to know on Boston's Number one for
hip hop and the best Throwbacks you Haven't any more.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
Five Thursday, October second, and I wish.

Speaker 4 (00:17):
I had better news.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
For the Red Sox fans, but you know, you guys
already know what it is. They lost last night four
to three to the Yankees and the wildcard series. But
let's turn a negative into the positive that it's a
clean slate for everybody.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Now.

Speaker 4 (00:28):
It's one game.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Either they win and they play the Blue Jays, or
they lose and they go on vacation.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Best case scenario, they win tonight and they lose four in.

Speaker 5 (00:38):
A row to the Jays.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
So seven game series.

Speaker 5 (00:42):
Yes, but they'll get swept.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
They won't make a fast you know, keep talking like
that because I feel like when you do that, they win.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Yeah, but the Blue Jays are really good. Maybe they
won't get swept, but they'll definitely lose.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Let us.

Speaker 4 (00:51):
I'll never forget that.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
At the very beginning of this season, Santi was like,
they'll never make the playoffs. They don't have a chance.
They're not gonna do it. It's gonna be a you know,
just a waste of a season.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
But that all changed when they made some personnel change.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
You wouldn't have said it that.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Yeah, no, No, If I knew what I knew, then
then it'd be different.

Speaker 5 (01:07):
Got it.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
There you have it.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
So eight toh eight tonight is the first pitch. Let's go, socks.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
We want to live on.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Yeah, all right, I'm gonna give you guys a nice
little feel good story. I'm taking a break from Cardi
and Nikki because this is the negativity.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
It's too much for me.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Shaquille O'Neal did an amazing thing to honor Kobe Bryant's memory,
and he gifted Kobe's mom Kobe's restored nineteen ninety six
Toyota land Cruiser on Kobe's birthday. So basically, this car
was the car that Kobe would drive around in high school.

(01:44):
So when Kobe's mother thinks of him, she thinks of
him pulling in the driveway coming back from a high
school basketball game in that car, the place that did
all the work for I got a call from Shaq
and they were so excited to get the call, but
they they were very specific with their instructions from Shack.
He said, listen, no, no modern touches to this thing.

(02:04):
No bells and whistles. I want this car to look
like Kobe just drove it from high school, you know
what I mean, Like I wanted to look the exact same.
So just such like an amazing like sentimental thing for Pam,
who's Kobe's mother, and just for her to remember him
in that way.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Isn't the actual car like a replica the actual car?

Speaker 3 (02:25):
And they were saying that the car had kind of
like sat in Philly for forever in the cold, and
then it got moved to California and it was sitting there.
It just wasn't being used. So I just think it's
a really cool thing that Shack did for Kobe's.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Yeah, like I guess because he's dead, it's a nice thing.
But if he were still alive, I wouldn't want that car.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
Is that? No?

Speaker 1 (02:46):
No, the ninety six land Cruiser now it's an old old.

Speaker 6 (02:51):
As Kobe's mom, I would zero idea he was in
high school back then.

Speaker 5 (02:57):
He's seventy one. Yeah, she's really driven around.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
You are serious right now? I supposed to, Like I
feel good because here's the thing. Shaft didn't have to
do that.

Speaker 5 (03:08):
Like Element, I don't think everybody needed to.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Yeah, there are elements of the story that are nice,
but like there are other parts that like, I don't.

Speaker 7 (03:15):
Want to seventy one. I'm sure she drives a pretty
nice car. What do I want with a ninety six
land Cruiser?

Speaker 4 (03:21):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
My son loved it and drove around it, and you
can feel his energy in there. Maybe I don't know
I loved it.

Speaker 5 (03:28):
He would have restored himself, all right. The valid point,
I'm just.

Speaker 7 (03:32):
Saying it was sitting in somebody's yard for a reason.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
You woman to start talking about kids getting their teeth
kicked in? Is that where you guys want to head like,
I'm fine if.

Speaker 7 (03:40):
That's like Carl was sitting in a yard for a reason.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Kobe isn't having going you restoring that thing?

Speaker 7 (03:45):
Okay, all right, I'm going to fix the statue at
the at the spot, you know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
It's a big.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
Second, all right, My bad, guys, not a feel good story.
Waste of everyone's time. Not bad.

Speaker 5 (03:55):
Let's see that they used to grow up in.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
I thought we were going to be like, Wow, that's
really nice.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
You guys are right dust collector original absolute dust collector.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
All right, let's talk about Kim and Chris Jenner because
they are suing ray J.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
Ray J was doing a stream and ray J.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Decided to take it upon himself to make a little
comment about a RICO investigation that he's involved in to
take down Kim Kardashian and Chris Jenner.

Speaker 5 (04:27):
The federal we go.

Speaker 8 (04:28):
I'm about to drop on Chris. Kim is about to
be crazy. The fans is coming. It's not not gonna
do about. It's worse than Diddy. Anybody know Kim and
who with Kim? They need to tell her now the
rain is coming, the fans is coming because it's like
the dirty guy normal.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Kim Kardashian and Chris Jenner's attorney said, this is the
first time they have brought a defamation claim to me.
They just don't get distracted by the noise. They're very
good at it. But this one and its false and
serious allegations has left them no choice. It's said in
the lawsuits that rage he is unable to accept the
end of his fleeting relationship with Kim that happened over

(05:05):
twenty years ago, and that he has defamed them for
years for personal game. Raj does love bringing up Kim
for absolutely no reason.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
So there's reasons, there's not reason. There's reasons. This is
called proceeding settlements.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
He's mad, he's not.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
Mister somewhere.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
Did it work out for your let it go? I
don't see Reggie Bush.

Speaker 5 (05:26):
Talking about reasons.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
I don't see it.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
By the way, they dropped the trailer for the New
Kardashians season that's upcoming.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
Did you see it? I saw yes, two major moments.
Rob Rob is back and guess who else is back?
Big Bruce Bruce Jenner back on the show.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
Waits a Bruce Kaitlyn? Okay, because I got confused him from.

Speaker 4 (05:52):
Caitlyn.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
No, but listen, we live that with him as Bruce
for so long ago.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
Guys like you were like, wait, did she switched back?

Speaker 1 (06:03):
I didn't see him for the javelin in the Olympics.

Speaker 9 (06:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
Both of you were like, that's crazy. No, definitely, definitely
still Caitlyn.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Yeah, you're like, how's that not your opening story that
she's gone back to be the man Now Caitlin is
still female and Caitlyn has the long hair and everything.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
But yeah, she's back.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
So we got Caitlin back and we got robbed. There
we have That was the crazy I'm like, why are
they not.

Speaker 10 (06:29):
Right?

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Also in this day and age, like what can you say?

Speaker 10 (06:31):
Back?

Speaker 5 (06:32):
Like, I don't know, but I knew.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
It was very yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:34):
It wasn't a thing about anything else.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
It was like yeah, I'm not even thinking yeah, I
like yeah, yes, yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
So anyways, she's back, So there it is. That's three things.
You need to know some of it. You need to
know some of it you don't. For Thursday, October the
second round.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
Two of Doja Cat four hundred and seventeen days and
you'll be kicking it with her at the Garden six one, seven, nine,
three one one nine for five Color twenty five.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
You're going to see Doja Cat in November of next year.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Scarps Dashy and The jam In Morning Show with DJ
fourn It's Sauty Good Morning, Bostin's.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Number one for hip hop jam In ninety four five. Hi, everybody,
good morning. Our favorite part of the show for a reason.
We love checking in on you.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
Take a little break from our lives and see what's
happening in yours. Six one seven, nine, three one one
nine four five. That is six one seven nine three
one one nine four five. It's not often that I
get to say that we have a CEO checking in
for the check in, but Sharon, the CEO of ABCD
Action for Boston Community Development, is on hold. Sharon, look

(07:45):
at us joined by a CEO. Welcome to the show.
We have a major event for you guys coming up
on Monday. I know you want to chat about it.
Tell everybody how they can get involved.

Speaker 10 (07:57):
Thank you, Ashley, and good morning, thanks for having morning.
Our fourteenth annual Hoop Dreams Basketball Benefit is happening on Monday,
October sixth, from five to ten, and it's a wonderfully
exciting event that supports abcd's youth programs in partnership with

(08:18):
the TV Garden. We do it at the Garden. Community
members can attend for free and enjoy a shoot around
and even for the sports museum. What's exciting is this
is the fourteenth year we're having it. It's co hosted
by Brad Stevens, the president's Basketball Operations for the Celtics,

(08:38):
and sports writer and author Bob Bryan. We have a
special additional guest, the president of WNBA's Connecticut sons. Jennifer
Rozzotti is going to come to players from the Suns.
Anisha Morrow and Aliah Edwards are among our special guests.
So it's just going to be a wonderful time. Basically,

(08:58):
what teams do. Corporate and community teams donate ten thousand
dollars to field a team of up to sixteen players
and a half court tournament style competition and you know,
just enjoy the moment and the and the spirited competition
during the evening and then after the teams enjoy a

(09:19):
Q and A with the hosts and special guests. So
it's a wonderful night. And we're looking for folks to
still looking for one team to play and community members
to come out and join us.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
And so if you're listening and you think that your
job or you know, maybe somebody that you work with
or you know that might want to get involved in this,
where directly, where's a good place for them to go.

Speaker 10 (09:43):
So they can visit ABCD Hooopdreams dot org. Okay, all
one word, ABCD Hooopdreams dot org.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
And for somebody that's listening right now, that's like what
is ABCD, Like, you know, just kind of explain to
everybody how important these events are and where the money
goes that raised.

Speaker 10 (10:01):
Yeah, So, ABCD is a community action organization. It's a
nonprofit that builds pathways out of poverty in community with
families and community so that everyone can thrive. And this
particular event benefits our youth programs. So those are summer jobs,
workforce development, mentoring, all of the youth programs that we

(10:25):
run throughout Greater Boston, giving young people a taste of
the work world, a great start, and leadership development that
they really need.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
I love it and I also love I've played in
this event before. I love watching others play in this
event because everyone thinks they can hoop and then they
go into the garden and they try to shoot and
their depth perception is off.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
It's a lot of airball that It's just so fun.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
And Brad Stevens is the best, Like you literally get
one on one time at this event with Brad. He
sits on the bench, he chats with everybody. He's just
such a great guy. So I love that he He's
always looped in on this event.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
One more time.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Sharon with the website for people if they want to
try to get involved.

Speaker 10 (11:06):
So they can visit Abcdhoop Dreams dot Org.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Awesome, Sharon, thank you so much for taking the time
and joining us this morning.

Speaker 10 (11:15):
Thank you so much, Ashley, and you're welcome to come
on Monday evening too to shoot around.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
We know. Sharon, thank you so much. I appreciate it's funny.
Thanks for joining the show. The one time I did
do the event, Brad Stevens was sitting on the bench.
My team was playing, and we came back to the
You guys are gonna think I'm making this up. I
don't even know why I'm telling it, but my team
came back over to the bench and they were like,
all right. Coach Stevens at that time, he was the coacher,

(11:41):
Like what should we do? And he was like, oh,
just give the ball to her.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
Because you were so good.

Speaker 4 (11:46):
It's hard because Brad's not here to coach.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
We were playing against people who never played basketball.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
Yeah problem, Hey, not my problem, not my issue.

Speaker 5 (11:54):
But to his point, yeah, yeah, you know what I mean,
not my problem?

Speaker 4 (11:57):
All right?

Speaker 3 (11:58):
Six one seven nine three one one nine four five
six one seven nine three one one nine four five
call us.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
We're talking about whatever you want to check in. Good morning.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
Oh sorry guys, Hi everybody, good morning. It's Ashley in
the gym in Morning Show. We are talking about whatever
you want, whatever you got going on in your world?
Six one seven nine three one one nine four five
to check in with us. Jess is in match, Hi, Jess, Hi,
how are you listen? You have called We're good. You've
called the perfect place for this, because nobody loves Vegas

(12:35):
more than Santi Diolio. Santia has been so many times.
You're headed to Vegas for your anniversary and you want
some ideas? Now do you want ideas for where to stay,
where to eat, what shows to see?

Speaker 4 (12:46):
What do you want?

Speaker 9 (12:49):
I already got all that planned. So my husband and
I are celebrating our eight year wedding anniversary. We're going
out to Vegas. We have We're going to the Sphere
on Saturday the eighteen to go see Tomorrow Land Subtronic Wow.

Speaker 4 (13:01):
Friday.

Speaker 9 (13:02):
When we land, we're gonna go see Shane Gillis. But
I need some ideas for Sunday. We leave Monday, so
I need the ideas for Sunday while we're out there.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
Where are you staying?

Speaker 9 (13:12):
We're staying at the Bag Show.

Speaker 5 (13:13):
Oh good, you are good.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
You don't need us, you need us, You're good. We
thought you were going to say, plan out, Hollywood. Yeah,
you know you don't need You're gonna wake up to
the fountain, Tenny like you got this going.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
Yeah, you're perfectly fine.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
The only thing I've really heard you say is food,
like reservations for for places?

Speaker 4 (13:33):
Have you?

Speaker 9 (13:34):
So I need a spot. We've got to make sure
we hit up a dispensary while we're out there. That's
like number one on my agenda. And then my number
two is I need a good place to eat.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
Do you want a place with a view or do
you just want a good like an amazing meal?

Speaker 9 (13:48):
So an amazing meal.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
SDK is always good. But you can't go wrong with Stack,
which is at the Mirage, which I'm not sure is
open anymore. But you can't go wrong with a steakhouse
within the major hotels like the nice ones.

Speaker 3 (13:58):
You're literally staying at the hotel, so you're not You're
never gonna miss at the Bolagio.

Speaker 9 (14:02):
Ever, I'm so exited. I can't wait for the concert
you're going with Sutronics.

Speaker 11 (14:09):
I can't wait.

Speaker 4 (14:11):
You need to come.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
Back after and review the sphere for us because we've
heard so many different things like people getting sick in there,
that it's just like the most wild way to experience
a show. So we need a full review. When are
you leaving?

Speaker 9 (14:24):
We leave October seventeenth, and we take the Red Eye
back home Monday night and I get to work Tuesday.
You're about to.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
You're about to have the best time.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
Just the only thing I didn't hear you say is
in and out, So make sure make sure you hit
in and out. You could have the if you're going
to uber to your to the Bolaggio, have them stop
on the way in whatever it is. It's on the
way into Vegas. It's not in the strip. You must
have in and out.

Speaker 9 (14:47):
Okay, So we don't have that in New Hampshire. So yes,
I will definitely take you up.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
On that one, as you should. By the way, last
thing I want to ask you. All I ever do
is hear bad things about Manchester. You like living there,
So I'm.

Speaker 9 (15:00):
Actually outside of Manchester. I'm in Gostown. Manchester is not bad,
though there's good in bad spots, just like anything else.
You know, I grew up in I grew up in Manchester.
I love Manchester, but.

Speaker 10 (15:16):
I got out, no, because I correct.

Speaker 9 (15:19):
But I have a house now outside of Manchester. My
parents still live in Manchester. I'm still very in Manchester.
I love Manchester. There's good in bad spots, just like
anywhere else. You just didn't know where to go.

Speaker 4 (15:28):
That's nice, not that bad though.

Speaker 3 (15:29):
Bosstown's nice though. Farren's taking me there. We want to
bike ride. There's a really nice place.

Speaker 4 (15:33):
All right, Jess, have the best time. Call us when
you get back.

Speaker 9 (15:37):
I will have an awesome I guess.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
I know.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
I know you were waiting for her thought he was
like drooling because he's he was waiting for her to
say some trash hotel Bellagio's good.

Speaker 7 (15:48):
So it's just true that Vegas is like not what
Vegas used to be. I keep seeing these articles.

Speaker 4 (15:53):
I like to you wait un till you hung out.
That's nice.

Speaker 7 (15:55):
Like prices have been slashed, like they trying to do
clubs of closing there. Like yeah, they're basically like offering
all kinds of discounts. There was a weekend I see
something they were like, Yo, every hotel is offering a
discount on this hotel.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
That is very true. Yes, it's very true, because it's
definitely changed. I don't know if it changed after the pandemic,
but it's not what it was. But it's still an
amazing place and you can still make the best of it.

Speaker 5 (16:18):
All I want to go is just see this fear.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
That's me too.

Speaker 5 (16:20):
That's it.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
But it's like I gotta wait for it. You have
to wait for like the perfect experience. Samantha is in
pot Sucket.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
Hi, Samantha, Hi, how are you guys good? We're gonna
do a little birthday shout out here.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
Yes.

Speaker 11 (16:33):
I just want to get my brother Nicholas a happy birthday,
and I hope he has a great day. He's actually
on his way to work right now, but he's going
to Georgia for a couple of weeks to go see
his man.

Speaker 4 (16:44):
So I love it.

Speaker 10 (16:45):
How old he's twenty seven today.

Speaker 4 (16:49):
Happy birthday, Nikki. Happy day to seven October Birthday. You're jealous.
Thanks for the call, Samantha, Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 3 (16:57):
Can we please, I know we're running out of time,
Can we please that the outdoor shower talk back? Okay,
I just need it, Like I have to address this
because my dms have been so nuts about the fact
that the fireman this was all his idea. This was
something he wanted to do for himself. When we first
bought this house in Marshville. We live at the beach now.
The man was like, we have to get an outdoor shower.

(17:18):
But the I've posted us taken showers out there and
people I get this all the time.

Speaker 12 (17:24):
Morning Ash, I just have a question, and I'm sorry
if I missed this along the way. I am an
act listener, but can we talk more about the outdoor shower?

Speaker 5 (17:31):
What's the point of that?

Speaker 12 (17:33):
Oh up this morning and it's like thirty five degrees
be showering out there on cold days? Is it because
the fireman comes home with like soot on him and
he doesn't want to get it inside. How could we
don't have a cover on it?

Speaker 4 (17:43):
I think we need more deeps.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
So I think for people who don't know the outdoor
shower life it is, it's it's very privy to a
beach town. We live in a beach town. We go
to the beach off And the answer to the first
part of that question is absolutely not. You're not showering
out there when it's that cold, especially if the pipes
could freeze, you would Most people, probably ninety percent of
Marshfield has their outdoor showers already turned off. They have

(18:08):
had the pipes cleaned out and everything. This is a form,
this is a massive thing. But we just got ours
built and for some crazy reason, we're lucking out that
it's built and it's ready to go, and we're getting
all these warm weather days. So yes, like every day
that it's been seventy something, I'm out there showering. But
usually by this time the outer shower would be closed.

(18:28):
And no, you don't put a cover on it. That
wood is built to sustain. We might have to over
a couple of years have people come and kind of
like just revamp a little bit. But everything, all the
materials used is made for the elements. But yeah, I
mean it is. It's definitely a way of life when
you live down a beach town, one hundred percent. It's
not every house, damn near in our neighborhood has one.

(18:48):
Because people are going to the beach daily. It's five
minutes up the road. So when you come home and
you're covered in sand, instead of trapesing it all.

Speaker 4 (18:55):
The way through the house, you take your outdoor shower
to your point.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
I own a house in main that's near the beach,
and it's so important to get the beach, like all
the sand off we are dying from like one of these.

Speaker 4 (19:04):
It's the business.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
It's so valuable for the beach and for the beach.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
It's specific and if you don't want to take a
full shower out there, it has the little foot.

Speaker 4 (19:11):
Thing because you don't to do to the beach and
you come off and you can clean off. It's that.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
It's it's definitely just a beach town type of thing.
But mad questions every time I post the girl the
girls love it there.

Speaker 4 (19:21):
I just if you haven't taken.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
A nice outdoor shower, it's hard to explain the feeling
of it. But showering looking up and seeing the sky
it's and by the way, shout out tot Nwr Carpentry,
that's who did it. I think people also have this
misconception that it's like thousands and thousands and thousands and
thousands of it's not as crazy as you would think.
I'm not gonna say how much of that because but
it's not as crazy as you would think.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
Can they build nine up in Maine?

Speaker 4 (19:44):
Maybe I'll ask no Ah the owner, if i'll come
all the way up.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
The main and the morning show with DJ four and
it's so at morning Bustin's number one for hip hop
jam in ninety four or five. Let's splail little game
and see how well DJ Forren knows you son.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
Let's all start light DJ fourn. If Santi.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
Had to get on an aircraft and it had this
written on the side of the plane, he wouldn't get
on it.

Speaker 5 (20:14):
S P I R I okay.

Speaker 3 (20:17):
And if Santi were to get on a cruise boat
and it said what on the side, he wouldn't get on.

Speaker 5 (20:22):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
In fact, I've heard him tell people who have called
to be like, I'm going on a carnival cruise, you
need to go in a different one. And I believe
some of the other ones you've listed have been the
Royal Caribbean.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
Absolutely, I love I love that company. They were a solid,
solid cruise. The cabins are amazing and the staff is perfect.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
Neurovirus outbreak on Royal Caribbean ship seconds nearly one hundred people.

Speaker 4 (20:54):
And you know we don't have the detail what the
neuro virus does to you.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
Yes, because I've You've had explain I've explained it, have it,
I've explained I've explained it. But symptoms of the neurovirus
include diarrhea, the word I despise, saying.

Speaker 4 (21:11):
God, and vomiting. And a hundred people caught it on
a cruise.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
By the way, when one person gets something on a cruise, everybody.

Speaker 4 (21:19):
Yeah, those are tight quarters.

Speaker 1 (21:21):
It's really unfortunate because I feel like this happens least
a couple times a year, and this hits every every
cruise line too, not just Carnival, but Carnival is the
boat that had that like poop cruise that lost power
in the middle of the ocean and people like the
toilets were backing up and there was poop overflowing in
all the cabins.

Speaker 5 (21:37):
That was Carnival.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
So they were sleeping in bed and there was poop, Like,
what do we do?

Speaker 5 (21:43):
I got stranded. Yeah, they have a whole Netflix.

Speaker 4 (21:46):
It's a dock. He just told me about this. I
don't think I could watch it.

Speaker 5 (21:49):
It's kind of crazy. I would.

Speaker 4 (21:50):
I would Titanic it. I would jump off.

Speaker 5 (21:52):
Almost unbelievable. They were.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
They were moving like all the beds to like the
outside because it smelled so bad. It was so hot
in there. And then when the toilet started to overflow.
Then the smell was next level. And there was no
food too. That was a whole other thing, and people
were acting anybody died. Nobody died, but I think like
they just people lose their sense of humanity when stuff
like this happened.

Speaker 7 (22:13):
Because it became one lady was like everybody, yeah, everybody
was for self. It became everybody was just for self survive.

Speaker 1 (22:21):
Because there was no food around, so people were fighting
for food and all this stuff, and they finally let
food out and then they brought the alcohol back, and
that made it like even more scary.

Speaker 5 (22:29):
Stranded in the middle.

Speaker 4 (22:30):
Of the other you can't find what happened to the boat.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
It lost power like no, sorry, there was a fire
in the engine room that killed the generator.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
And they couldn't bring another cruise out there and just
slowly start to get people off.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
No, because in the middle of the ocean, and all
these boats already booked for other things. So they had
all these ideas. But the longer it took, like the
cruise line kept drifting away, so finally they got some
tugboats to tow it back in. By that point, it
was like two and a half weeks had passed.

Speaker 3 (22:57):
Yeah, that that'll do something to you, you know what
I mean, Like, actually, if you're on there with your family,
you're gonna be like I'm it's it's every man for
themselves and you try to take care of your family.

Speaker 4 (23:05):
That's crazy.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
The best part is that they were handing out these, uh,
these trash bags for people to go to the bathroom in.
No yeah, so you had to poop in a trash bag.

Speaker 7 (23:14):
Like people were taking video you could see just floating
like it was just floating throughout the holes and every
like that. It was kind of crazy. Imagine that, imagine
no sleep outside like.

Speaker 4 (23:25):
Yeah, because it was also that's like a risk, that's scary.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
And like there were a few people talking about that
they were going to hold out because at first they
thought it was a couple of days. So they go like,
all right, I don't have to go to the bathroom.
It's just a couple of days. But after a while, like,
I have to go. And then they're handing out bags
like imagine like your feeling of self worth going to
the bathroom in a trash bag.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
And then they and then they allowed them to drink.
Are they crazy?

Speaker 1 (23:48):
Well, they thought that was in common people down that
made it work.

Speaker 4 (23:50):
Yeah, that's going to heighten. I gotta watch this.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
And then you walk through the hallways and people started
pointing the trash bags outside, so that caused a whole
nother like smell issue and all this stuff. It was
really bad. It's it was crazy.

Speaker 4 (24:03):
What is it called.

Speaker 5 (24:03):
I think it's called poop Cruise. I think it's called
the poop Cruise.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
Yeah, and they have all the families from in it too,
and they're all starting off the thing like, oh, we
were so happy with.

Speaker 4 (24:14):
It's called a train wreck poop cruise.

Speaker 13 (24:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (24:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (24:18):
An engine fire leaves four hundred passengers transit at sea
without power and plumbing in this wild documentary about the
infamous poop cruise.

Speaker 5 (24:26):
And they have got paid like a field. They had
to cut some checks.

Speaker 4 (24:31):
Oh my god, I don't I'm never going on a
cruise again.

Speaker 5 (24:34):
I don't think they did.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
I think what they ended up happening at the end,
they gave everybody a free cruise and they have to
pay for that one.

Speaker 5 (24:42):
I think so, I swear to God. No.

Speaker 4 (24:43):
The front of the ship says choose fun. Yeah, he
choosing something.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
They were trying to keep this thing on the hush
until you got close enough to the like one time,
like like another ship came up like right to the side,
so the Wi Fi got back on, so people started
like making phone calls. So that's when the story got
got out, is what people thirteen was because I never
even heard I remember it being a story, but.

Speaker 3 (25:05):
It was a while ago when this happened. Do they
have like plans implemented in place now in case? I
mean you had that now there has to be contingency
plans because this could happen again.

Speaker 7 (25:14):
Now there has to be Yeah, but if the ship,
if the engine of the ship and everything goes down,
if because it works, it's almost like an ecosystem on
a cruise ship, like everything works within each other. So
if if one of those main engine goes and you
can recirculate water, you can't recirculate whatever.

Speaker 5 (25:29):
Yeah, done, so, but like see what's the plan though?

Speaker 1 (25:32):
If this happens again, you can't have a ship on
standby because you want to have those things booked like
all the time, because essentially it's like a hotel.

Speaker 4 (25:38):
Respectfully, the cruise people like I have zero desire.

Speaker 5 (25:41):
To go on a cruse.

Speaker 7 (25:42):
I want my first cruise and it's it's not really
I don't understand it.

Speaker 5 (25:47):
You know, what would be good a short cruise three days.

Speaker 7 (25:50):
Some people do these seven day trips and I'm dark
three times. And it's like once, I'm the kind of
person when I get on a boat, I'm gonna walk
around Furst floor.

Speaker 5 (26:00):
Day two, I know the whole boat.

Speaker 4 (26:01):
Where you going?

Speaker 5 (26:02):
Day three on board? Right?

Speaker 4 (26:03):
You know you have a favorite place to eat. Now
you're eating the sad.

Speaker 5 (26:06):
It's like I'm done, you know what I mean?

Speaker 7 (26:07):
Those people and these people who live the cruise life,
like no cruising oh year round.

Speaker 4 (26:13):
The only thing they want to.

Speaker 5 (26:14):
Do is go on cruise points. They know how to
go on this boat.

Speaker 7 (26:18):
As soon as they dock, they go home for two days,
right back on another boat and they go away for
six months.

Speaker 5 (26:22):
And I'm like.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
Why, But what's the difference between a cruise and a
nice resort?

Speaker 5 (26:27):
A resort I can go.

Speaker 6 (26:28):
I was gonna say, one, you're not stuck. Stop stop,
you understand even whay you duck you only got like
maybe half a day or something like that, and.

Speaker 4 (26:41):
Then god forbid you don't take it back back.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
To the whole nother thing. Every time there's always somebody
sprending towards the end, and the things that people don't understand.
If it says leaving at five, it leaves at five.
Even if it's like two feet away and you're on
the dock, it's not coming back.

Speaker 5 (26:55):
It's you're gone all day. I could go do I
could go this, I could go book bad, I could
go walking out.

Speaker 3 (27:02):
You can do whatever you want. You can't on a cruise.
But you know what, so I'm gonna give you a
scenario free cruise. Everybody's paid for your entire family. You
have the nicest sweet there. It's like the penthouse suite
of the cruise. They call you and they say, hey, Santia,
it's Carnival.

Speaker 5 (27:19):
No, we'd like to think I'm kidding.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
I'm not going. It's a hard nose.

Speaker 5 (27:25):
Dashi and the jam In Morning Show with d J

get out of here bad, because Houn just wants to
go to sleep because he wants to wake up so
that the album is here.

Speaker 4 (27:43):

Speaker 13 (27:48):
