Speaker 1 (00:00):
Especially and the jam In Morning Show with DJ Foreign
and Santi.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
When you need to Know, No, we got you three
things you need to Know on Boston's number one for
hip Hop and the best Throwbacks you Haven't any More.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Five Tuesday, September twenty third. And for those of you
that were boycotting Disney and ABC, you don't have to
do it any longer. ABC has lifted its suspension of
the Jimmy Kimmel Live Show. He will be talking tonight
late Nights with brand new episodes again starting today. Disney

(00:34):
and ABC said in a statement last Wednesday, we made
the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid
further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for
our country. It is a decision we made because we
felt some of the comments were ill timed and thus insensitive.
We have spent the last days having very thoughtful conversations
with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision
to return the.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
Show on Tuesday. So the man is back. You know
what else? Is something crazy about all of this?

Speaker 5 (00:59):
To me?

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Jimmy Kimmel probably gets all of his stuff written for him.
Absolutely like his monologue. Those words aren't even his own.
He didn't even write those.

Speaker 6 (01:07):
I don't know what the number is, but it's somewhere
between fifteen to twenty people in the back there as
his writers writing all these questions, all these monologues, like everything.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
I don't watch this show. If there's clips or something,
I might check him out the next day. I do
even feel in my soul like dying to know what
he will say in his monologue? Will he mention it?
Will he just go on? You know, because people are
gonna want him to say something.

Speaker 6 (01:29):
I think he's going to have to because what has
happened with these talk show hosts as of late They
become political where Late night has always worked when the
comedians are making fun of politicians but not getting political right.
And I think it's changed the last couple of years.
Pross the board.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
Yes, yes, and it's easy with Trump, like I mean,
the jokes kind of write themselves.

Speaker 6 (01:48):
But like again, yeah, stick to the jokes. Don't make
opinions on what the what should be happening with everything politically?

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Yeah, the jokes are there, the jokes, I mean literally,
you just play the clips of him talking about ozempic.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Like it's it's very easy. Whatever.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
But just know this, and I'll only say this because
we're in this industry and we're in this business.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
I know how things go.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Whatever he is saying tonight has already been written, has already.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
Been vetted, I guarantee you.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
In their negotiations and when they were going back and forth,
they made the decision on what he's going to say.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Yeah, he's got to address it, maybe have.

Speaker 6 (02:23):
To address it, yes, but he's really going to say
with how he really feels. Probably not.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Yeah, we'll see, we will see. And that's that that clip,
whatever that is, will go viral.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
You know that.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
All right, Let's talk Kim Kardashian, Kim and Skims. Foreign
doesn't have a lot of nice things to say about
Kim k. He's not a huge fan of the Kardashians,
but that man loves skims.

Speaker 5 (02:46):
Skims is probably one of the best products I've ever
spent money on for show.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
I buy skims. I buy skims for the fireman. I
I can't tell you guys enough. Now she does do sales.
Things are a little pricey, but everywhere is a little pricey.
But the underwear, the bras, the T shirts, if you
are pregnant right now and you're nursing. The maternity line
soft as butter, Like the material is a ten out

(03:09):
of ten. Foreign has the guy stuff, I have the
girl stuff. I can't speak on the app. Yeah you
know she has them now in Dick's Sporting Goods.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Wow, No I didn't.

Speaker 5 (03:20):
Yeah, I went to the mall and sail them the
other day. And when I walked right in a little
stand right there, just you know, it's not a big,
big section, it's a small section. But yeah, she had
some some sweats, some hoodies, you know, some underwear some Yeah,
Skims is now.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
I like the app because once a week at least
I get an email like thirty percent off today, so.

Speaker 5 (03:37):
That they definitely do like members exclusive. Yeah, different colors
and stuff is amazing.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
It is.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
It just is what it is. And I'll tell you this.
I was really upset when I saw Kim Like it
was a very masked announcement. But she got rid of
her makeup line this week and upsets me a little bit.
Or it was late last week because I loved her
makeup as well. Because I think Skims has become an
empire and I think that she's just concentrating on this.

Speaker 6 (04:05):
I loved it, but maybe it wasn't making money because
you can get a whole other division.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
People remember it was called skin s k k N
was the brand, but yeah, it's no longer. If you
go on their Instagram, she it's like, hey, we're bowing out.

Speaker 5 (04:17):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
But Skims is huge.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
It's massive and the most recent you know, remember Skims
has tied up with Balone Siaga, They've done dul Changabana.
They have now unveiled that they are teaming up with Nike.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
But my body on a pedestal, celebrate it, marvel at it,
glorified it. It's power, it's strength. Give my body your
full attention, see it, appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Understand it, and then.

Speaker 7 (05:00):
What I can really do with it.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
Nike by Skims. It comes out Friday.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
The prices range from thirty eight bucks to one hundred
and forty eight. We got sports bras, hoodies, leggings, so
you can only believe the sports bras are probably thirty
eight bucks and it goes up from there. But it's
going to be high quality stuff and that's a I
like that.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
Combo, and it's going to sell out quick, always away.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
You're going to be able the positive for this one.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
You're gonna be able to get it on the Skims
app and on the Nike website too, so you have
it's a two part you want to get at two
different places.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
All right. So we have a new Hollywood star.

Speaker 6 (05:37):
It better be good, it better be worthy, a.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
New star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and there's
a hometown connection to it.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
Bill Nye the science Guy.

Speaker 6 (05:49):
Yeah, right, for what movie?

Speaker 8 (05:52):
Science?

Speaker 6 (05:53):
Science?

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Are doing?

Speaker 6 (05:55):
Science on what channel? And school?

Speaker 4 (05:59):
What is e PBS? I don't know, but everybody knows
Bill ny the Science Guy.

Speaker 6 (06:05):
This is getting really, really really well.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
Well Bill's got Brad, clearly he's able to pay for it.

Speaker 6 (06:11):
Yeah, well somebody else wants to pay for that.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
Guess who gave him his star.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Our own guy, A massive fan of Bill ny the
Science Guy, Jalen Brown.

Speaker 9 (06:20):
My name is Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics. And
what an honor it is to be here to speak
on the life and legacy of Bill now a science guy.
I love for science runs deep, and I have Bill
to thank for that. But not just for myself, for
a generation of students who grew up in the public
school system, possibly thinking that school was not for them.

(06:40):
Bill is Walk of Fame is not just for an
incredible career. It's also for the curiosity you spark, the
doors you've opened, and the minds you continue to inspire
all over the globe. Thank you from a generation of
students who grew up watching you, listening to your voice.
Thank you for changing the world. One dad joke, one

(07:03):
science experiment out of time. Give it up for Bill.

Speaker 4 (07:09):
People, Bill, Bill, Bill made a science cool.

Speaker 6 (07:13):
Who would you say is the biggest actor of our generation? Actor?
Actor male actor? That's that's a list I did.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
I I truly think.

Speaker 6 (07:22):
It's say that Denzel Washington is good.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
I put him in my top five.

Speaker 6 (07:26):
Would you say he deserves a star on the Walk
of Fame? I would because he does not have one.
Brad Pitt, Brad Pitt does not have one. George Clooney,
George Clooney does not have one.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
Leonardo DiCaprio does not have one.

Speaker 6 (07:39):
Beyonce does not have one. The Rock that one.

Speaker 4 (07:43):
I don't know the people say the Michael Jackson as.

Speaker 6 (07:47):
Yeah, he deserves no matter why he didn't never Land,
he deserves a star, deserves it. Being like jer Life, but.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
Yeah, well, we don't needn't have to worry about it with.

Speaker 6 (07:59):
Us a narrow I can go on forever and one.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
Yeah, that's crazy.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
So that thing is a joke then yeah, I mean yeah,
if they don't even want one, that thing gotta be
like laughed at.

Speaker 6 (08:09):
If they don't want one, but they like I don't
maybe they're like, I'm not paying.

Speaker 5 (08:13):
Yeah, in the beginning of time, they've always paid for
these or what did it start out as we're going
to honor you and then he just became a thing.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
Probably has evolved into time, like in time we have
to pay for which is completely stupid and Bill nine
does not deserve a start.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Are they paying to upkeep the road like in front
of the theater?

Speaker 6 (08:29):
What are they paying the state pace for that? They're
just paying to have their star on there.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
That's crazy, all right.

Six one seven nine three one one nine four five.
Emma's in Dorchester. Uh, and we've recently got scammed out

(10:19):
of some cash over a rescheduling of a hair employment.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
Do tell.

Speaker 10 (10:26):
HI good morning. First of all, I'm just starting to
kind of get your input on this situation, kind of
talk about it with a few friends, and I even
lost kind of like a friend over it, because you know,
I'm new to the city. I like to get my
hair done and I'm one of those people that decides
to pay up front, not even a deposit, just straight

(10:46):
up pay up front. I've never had this situation happen
to me before. And so here's what happened. I scheduled
out about three weeks out. It was last last month
in August. I initially send her an amount of money,
we agreed on a hairstyle. We agreed on an amount,
and rescheduled the date, and so, you know, stuff happened.

(11:08):
I had to reschedule, and so she was understanding of that.
In my room. She had done my head before. I
have paid upront before. This didn't happen before. And so
the next time we scheduled. You know, I was with
her daughter's birthday, so you know, I honored that. I
understood that, and she went ahead and rescheduled again. So
now you know, I'm like, you know what, my daughter's

(11:29):
birthday is coming up. I'd rather get her hair done
instead of mine. And so I asked her, Hey, can
you do this hairstyle? And said, I know it might
be a little bit more costly, I'm not I'm not
gonna I'm gonna send you the money, extra money if
it costs more, And so I did once again, I
paid the full amount up front, and so we agreed

(11:49):
on a date at a time. And so now the
date is slowly approaching, and I realized that she's not
in town. She's out of town. She's out with some
friends doing some stup And what I've realized is that
the day before she's still out out of town. And
I haven't gotten a cancelation. I haven't gotten a curtency
text for anything from her scheduling. And so I send

(12:11):
her a text, Hey, are you still going to be
able to do my daughter's past for her birthday? She
sends me a text and say, oh, you know, I'm
stuck where I'm at and I am, I can't make
I can't make the appointment. And so I'm like, okay.
So she's like, is there any way that I could
do the day off? And I'm like, no, that's really inconvenient.
We plan on this and on this date, and then

(12:34):
so see me said, Okay, don't worry about it. I am,
I'm gonna send you up. If you want a refund,
I'll send you a refund. And I'm like, all right,
that sounds good, keep me posted. But now the next
day comes, I still have no refunds, and so, you know,
I check in with her like, hey, like what's going on.
She goes to be completely honest. You know, I'm out

(12:56):
here spending money on a credit card. I really do
not have the money cash. I'm trying to see if
somebody can send the money on my behalf.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
And so, and before you continue on, can I ask
you a question. Does she own a salon? Is she
a salon owner.

Speaker 4 (13:12):
Or is she like a friend?

Speaker 10 (13:13):
Okay, so she just she's so she's a friend of
a friend.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
Okay, and she kind of does hair out of her house,
comes to you that type of thing.

Speaker 10 (13:21):
Yeah, exactly, that's sad. Idea, and so I'm like, again,
very understanding. I'm like, that's I understand. You know, we're
going through stuff and whole She's like I asked her,
and later on the day, I'm like, look, I found
somebody else to do this there, and I would really
appreciate you spend up money so I can go towards
the new person. And so she's like, yeah, I'm seeing it.

(13:42):
A friend of mine can send you the money. Just
give me some money. So now it's the day of
I haven't heard anything. I don't get a response. Now
it's days. Now it's days. I'm supposed to see her
at a party of the friend's party, a friend of
a friend's party, And I asked her, like, hey, are
you still am I going to see you at this party?
Since you said you have the money cast, can I

(14:03):
just get that when I see you? I understand that
The situation is kind of like all over the place.
I'm very professional with these things, been very accommodating, you know,
just because and I said it just like this, I'm like,
just because you're a friend of my friend doesn't mean
we need to be friends with This situation is kind
of like messy and so I'm just not gonna do

(14:24):
business with you anymore after this, and so, you know,
she starts feeling like, you know, I'm you scheduled. You
were scheduled a couple of times. I'm not gonna give
you a reef. I'm not gonna give you a full refund,
and so I'm gonna give you this the amount, which
is not even the half of the amount I said it.

Speaker 4 (14:40):
No, no, no, no, no no. This is you don't even have
this is crazy. You don't even have to finish.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
Let me start off by saying, the first cancelation or
rescheduling was because of her kid's birthday, and you were
more than accommodating. You have been way nicer that I
think a lot of people would be. I mean, even
you saying I know people go through stuff that's okay,
give me the money when you can, is way nicer
than what you had to be. That is your money,
and you deserve every single penny of that money. And

(15:06):
her spending it without even doing your son's hair, spending
your hard earned money.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
This is crazy, Emily.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
You gotta, you gotta, we gotta, we gotta go to
real salon's, Like we can't be messing around with this.

Speaker 4 (15:16):
This is nuts.

Speaker 10 (15:18):
And it gets a little more messy after that. So,
you know, I really don't want to involve our mutual
friend in the situation, but you know, I do tell her,
like I bring her to a situation. I let her know, hey, like,
you know, I screenshot the whole conversation, because you know,
when when friends talk about things, they tend to like
blur some information out, and so I send her the screenshots.
I call her, I'm like, listen, this is what's going on.

Speaker 11 (15:40):
The friend.

Speaker 10 (15:41):
She's trying to mend the situation and says, well, I'll
send you the money, and I'm telling her, no, I
don't want your money, right.

Speaker 4 (15:47):
I want my money that she has.

Speaker 10 (15:49):
I want my money. And so she's like, oh, well
I owe you something. I'm like, no, you don't owe
me anything. I'm thinking that because she's the mutual friend,
she'll be you know, even if it's behind the scenes,
be like, you know, you wrong for that situation. I'll
give you the money. And then you give her the money,
like just to make the like the situation better, and
that's not what happened.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
You know.

Speaker 10 (16:08):
She's like, well, I understand, thank you for not making
me to sides. I just felt really like, it's not
about sides, it's about the principle and the fact that
they're not her friend enough to tell her that she's wrong,
and that's.

Speaker 11 (16:21):
Not how you do this.

Speaker 10 (16:21):
This just made me not want to like kind of
fall back from that front set because it's just like,
I'm not asking you to do sides. I'm asking you
to be kind of like the Jiminy cricket in a
situation and let her know like you're wrong for that
situation and trying to help her figure out a way
to resolve the situation. And so am I wrong athletes
for deciding to say, you know what, I'm going to

(16:43):
just fall back from both of their friendships or both
of them, because I just don't surround myself around people
like that. To me, that's not okay. I would never
do it to anyone.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
Listen, you cutting out the let's just say that the
woman that does the hair, I understand. I think the
other woman is probably stuck between a rock and a
hard place because she's like, she's my friend too, you're
my friend. It's wrong what she's doing. I mean, she's
out here trying to offer you her own money. That
would be the only friendship that I would say to you,
just give it a nice long heart. Think before you

(17:14):
cut her off, because she also is in a very
weird situation. Maybe she knows that that lady's going through something.
I don't know. But the bottom line is, you need
a new hairstylist. This is beyond beyond unprofessional. She can't
go spending your money before she does the task at hand.
She didn't do anybody's here. She's just oh, he're spending
your money. That's not right.

Speaker 10 (17:36):
Absolutely. But yeah, these things, these things never happened to me,
you know, like accommodating, rescheduling. I don't think we're scheduling
an appointment.

Speaker 3 (17:44):
Well, she rescheduled for her, so let's like that's it
on the reschedule. But let me ask you this where
we don't have a lot of times, a ton of
people on hold.

Speaker 4 (17:51):
Where are we at today? Have you gotten a single
dollar back?

Speaker 10 (17:54):
Nope? Wow, you have to get you that money back.
Very very disrespectful to me. Yeah, no longer doing service.

Speaker 6 (18:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (18:01):
Well, you know what, if you're gonna let me tell
you this much, if you're gonna cut the other girl
off anyway, you might as well take her money. Sure,
go ahead and pay me the money that your friend
knows me. Uh, and good luck, keep us posted.

Speaker 10 (18:12):
Thank you, you're welcome.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
Yeah, that's that's tough. We don't have Let don't talk.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
Let's just come back here at six one, seven nine
five now that I don't want to hear what you
have to say. A ten of people on hold, and
I want to make sure we get to everybody. It's
the check in good Morning by the line lose Hi, everybody,
good morning, It is Ashley and the gm in Morning Show.
Sorry that that was a little long. I had to
let Emily get that off of her chest. I will

(18:37):
say the most iconic part of that conversation was when
she ran though through in Jimminy Cricket.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
I don't even know how we got to Jimminy, but
he was involved in that.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
Let's go to Alan. We're gonna check in with Alan.
He just got back from the UK. If you need
a little reminder, Alan went on a trip to the UK,
left his wife at home to see a couple of
soccer games, and he's officially back.

Speaker 4 (18:59):
Alan did your wife, Missy while you were going?

Speaker 11 (19:02):
She did? She did?

Speaker 4 (19:04):
I bet she did. But fort when.

Speaker 11 (19:07):
You say I left my wife, you sound like you
know I am bonding you or something.

Speaker 6 (19:12):
They did?

Speaker 4 (19:12):
You did? You went a little vacation and she wasn't
allowed to go you did you? I hope she.

Speaker 3 (19:17):
I hope she was able to find food and shelter
while you were gone.

Speaker 11 (19:21):
Oh my god, how was your trip? But she's good?
Oh man, it was. It was one of the best
things I did for myself.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
For myself, like Alice's a hole married.

Speaker 3 (19:33):
Well, that's great for Floren tells me, you have a
little surprise for us.

Speaker 11 (19:39):
Yeah, I got gifts for you, so I don't know
how I can send them to you.

Speaker 4 (19:42):
Wow, what do we get? What'd you get us?

Speaker 11 (19:46):
I don't know what. I say it on the radio.
Everybody laughing at me.

Speaker 6 (19:52):
It sounds sexual.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
People are gonna laugh at you.

Speaker 11 (19:56):
It's a surprise, you guys will seek when you get it.

Speaker 4 (19:58):
It's a surprise. I want to right, we did Alan?
Where do you live?

Speaker 11 (20:03):
What's okay?

Speaker 4 (20:05):
Stop yelling at meus? What what town do you live in?

Speaker 11 (20:10):
Ashbraham?

Speaker 4 (20:13):
Where is it?

Speaker 6 (20:14):
It's far right? All right?

Speaker 3 (20:15):
So we're gonna have to maybe we'll have to venmo
you to mail that because that's that's too little, too far.

Speaker 11 (20:21):
No, that's on me. You guys, you don't have to Oh.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
My gosh, stop it. Well, Alan, hang on the line there.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
We're gonna somehow figure out a way for you to
get us these secretive gifts that once I get i'll
talk about on the radio.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
But Alan, thank you. Like, what did you guys say
you want scarves?

Speaker 6 (20:36):
Definitely an arsenal scarf, like a soccer ball or something.
Why is that embarrassing?

Speaker 4 (20:40):
I'm dying to know what it is. Yeah, well we'll
find out.

Speaker 6 (20:43):
What are you thinking on? Like one minute left?

Speaker 3 (20:46):
John is in New Hampshire. John, you have less than
a minute, buddy, talk to me.

Speaker 4 (20:50):
John hung up. So John, let's just go to Jen.
Hi Jen, Good morning Jens and Bill Ricca. Hi Jen,
Hi Jen.

Speaker 3 (20:59):
We had somebody actually call in or win tickets earlier
this week. It's only Tuesday, so it must have been
yesterday and said, I am from North pill Rica and
we didn't know that. You guys claim different parts of it.

Speaker 7 (21:13):
Yeah, I'm from like Barrico, Barrica, Bill Ricca pill Rica
as opposed to North bill Rica, which is different. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (21:22):
Okay, well, judging.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
Off of just you alone. I want to be in
the North End. Wait, what's going on? What did you
want to say?

Speaker 7 (21:31):
I just wanted to say, how how are you doing today?
You know, seeing what you guys are are up to today?
And you know I love love love cam in n Well.

Speaker 4 (21:48):
We love you, Jen.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
Let's run it through DJ for and what what's on
the docket for a Tuesday for you?

Speaker 6 (21:53):
Better? Nothing much? Man.

Speaker 5 (21:54):
I might go to the movies and my son later
because we just found out that movies are cheap. On
a Tuesday, he wants to go watch that Walking movie.
I'm trying to convince him walking.

Speaker 4 (22:10):
Anymore.

Speaker 6 (22:11):
I'm like, it's but we'll go if you want to.

Speaker 4 (22:13):
It's cool, okay, son? On a Tuesday.

Speaker 6 (22:15):
Tuesday, I gotta field hockey games today. My daughters are playing.
I don't know what team they are. By three o'clock,
Hollis and.

Speaker 4 (22:20):
Jen, I have a big playdate.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
One of Layla's really good friends, Rowan, is coming over,
and I'm sure they'll just run around and destroy the
house while me and Rowan's mom, you know, complain about them.

Speaker 4 (22:30):
It's the best. Okay, all right, what are you up to.

Speaker 3 (22:36):
Me?

Speaker 7 (22:36):
I'm about to go to the y m c A
and play pick a ball.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
Hell hell yeah, I love pickleball. Jen have the best time.
Shout out to Bill Ricca.

Speaker 7 (22:46):
I will thank you all right, then.

Speaker 4 (22:48):
Bill Ricca, take what I take back what I said.
I I'll see you in help.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
Morning Show with d J four and it's Morning one.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
For hip hop dam in ninety four or five.

Speaker 3 (23:04):
I mean, I feel like it's I feel like I
can say this and people our age will understand. I
feel like this is an end of an era. I
think so yeah, I don't know what's next for them,
but end of an era in a sense of this
was my high school, this was my I remember I
loved Catfish.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
I loved the show Catfish.

Speaker 6 (23:26):
I got to imagine they could bring it back, but
I think a break is needed because maybe they need
more people to do it on because you start catching
on me. I felt, while it kind of becomes repetitive.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
Also, I feel like I don't know how to explain this,
but the best way I can say it is back
when we were young, I didn't we didn't talk about
like the catfishing as much. So it was like, oh
my god, now nothing, It's just it's normal.

Speaker 6 (23:49):
People have always catfish but then it had a name.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
Now it developed, I think too, with like the online
dating app and the way the world is now.

Speaker 4 (23:57):
It's just ten times like that when we were in high.

Speaker 6 (24:00):
Talk about it.

Speaker 5 (24:01):
But I think the show really exposed a lens that
people when.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
We were talking about it and it going away. They've
been on air for nine years. I'll play Max and
Neves goodbye. But this all started because ne Neve. Yeah,
he got catfished and this was the original, Like he
wanted to find the woman and it's crazy.

Speaker 6 (24:19):
He went down and tracked this person down to their
house and it was not the person at all.

Speaker 4 (24:24):
He fell in love, yeah he did. Here's their heart
felt goodbye.

Speaker 6 (24:30):
Hey guys, that's a wrap on past.

Speaker 8 (24:32):
Oh yeah, after twelve years, almost three hundred episodes and
just a lot of traveling around this incredible country, a
lot of phone calls, a lot of phone calls on FaceTime,
a lot of economy flights, a lot of reverse image searches,
a lot of Hilton Gardens. Catfish has officially been canceled.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
Sorry, yeah, but maybe it's just some pause.

Speaker 8 (24:55):
Well look this the version of I was about to
come back. I know we were trying anyway. Look The
point is Catfish as we've known it is.

Speaker 4 (25:04):
Over, which is sad, but.

Speaker 8 (25:06):
At the same time, what an incredible journey it's been.

Speaker 3 (25:09):
I also feel like back in the day when we
were in high school, we watched TV, we watched MTV.
We don't no one really digests TV the same way anymore.

Speaker 5 (25:18):
Forgot that the og dude had left the show too.
That was that over beef. Never Max, one of them left.

Speaker 6 (25:25):
I think because Max is actually like an accomplished director,
so he does film mark, so I think he moved on.
But like just because of that, But there's still boys, Okay.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
I I always enjoy when it comes up, and I
feel like it won't anymore since they're going away, that
I get to tell the story maybe for the last time.

Speaker 4 (25:45):
It's a good story, might be the last time.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
But a woman that I went to high school with
was on Catfish okay, and I'll just call her Nikki
NICKI was in my high school for only a couple
of years before she was expelled. She fought our principal

(26:09):
like fist fought why listen, It's neither here nor there.
So I only spent a couple of years with her
before she was expelled. But the one thing about Nicki
is you probably remember this foreign.

Speaker 4 (26:21):
She would suck her thumb and sucked her thumb so.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
Much growing up that it was as flat as a
piece of paper. That guy, I don't think you understand.
So it was like the thick part of the thumb,
and when you got towards the top, it was a
flat piece goneat. It was flat as a piece of paper.
And she was still sucking that thing. She was sucking

(26:46):
that thing still in high school. It was like her thing.
But you didn't mess with Nicki, like you didn't mess
with Nicky Joseph.

Speaker 4 (26:52):
But yeah, she she can't fish. She can't fished.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
The guy he went to her house but one time,
and she remember, she opened up the door like an
inch and they pet kissed and then he shut the door.
She suckered him for like Ariana Grande tickets. She suckered
him into fixing her car, things of that nature. And
Neve had to come in and and you know, end it.

(27:17):
But I will never ever forget the first moment when
she opened up the porch door and she came out,
and my phone just exploding because we were all like,
oh my god, it's Nikki and her paper thumb on MTV.

Speaker 4 (27:34):
She was catfishing this poor man so bad?

Speaker 6 (27:38):
How different was the picture versus what came out to
the door.

Speaker 4 (27:41):
Yes, so, Ni, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (27:45):
I want to be gentle here, but let's just say
night and day.

Speaker 4 (27:49):
I'll leave it at that night and day.

Speaker 6 (27:52):
I mean, can we just say it that if you
fall for a catfish like this, you're a fool? Right?

Speaker 3 (27:58):
The things this man like, they never face timed, Her
phone was never working. He went to her house at
one point. Remember he like sent pizzas. Remember this too.
He sent pizza to her house to try to get
her to come.

Speaker 4 (28:10):
He was it was like a piece of cheese and
a house. He was like, come out here a little bit.
She didn't come out.

Speaker 3 (28:15):
He all the way went to her house and let
her open up the door a crack and kissed her mouth. Sir,
you don't think she's hiding something in there? Yeah, you
don't think that there might be something going on. But no,
he still sent her hundreds of dollars.

Speaker 6 (28:28):
Is Nikki Joseph still alive?

Speaker 1 (28:31):
I think so?

Speaker 6 (28:32):
Right? Like, what is she doing? Can we get a
picture of the thumb?

Speaker 4 (28:38):
I can't it cannot be with us anymore. I've never
in my I want to listen.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
I'm just gonna cold call right now my best friend
from high school and be like, what is.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
The one that she is?

Speaker 3 (28:52):
Be like, I'm just gonna put it on speaker and
I'm gonna make her say what is the one trait
of Nikki Joseph?

Speaker 6 (28:56):
And see if she because I feel like if she
was dead, that news what a got around quick.

Speaker 4 (29:00):
I think it would have hit the town. I think
it would have hit the town, and.

Speaker 6 (29:03):
I feel like it would have been on Facebook and
the bit would have hit and then there would have
been like, yeah, comments.

Speaker 4 (29:09):
She just had a baby. What is she doing?

Speaker 6 (29:10):
She said?

Speaker 4 (29:11):
She sent me a voicemail. Jesus, I mean that's crazy.

Speaker 6 (29:14):
Paper thumb is more important than the baby.

Speaker 3 (29:16):
She might call back when we're saying goodbye, and when
she does, I'm gonna be like, say that, say the
trait of Niki Joseph. But yeah, she she beat our principal,
like beat the principle and they expelled her.

Speaker 6 (29:28):
Was it a boy or girl?

Speaker 4 (29:28):
Like principal Nikki Joseph was a female.

Speaker 6 (29:31):
The principal was a male man.

Speaker 4 (29:33):
No, you think I'm kidding. I'm very very very good
serious about this. But anyways, that's my claims to fame.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
I was on Real World and we had somebody else
from Collingswood on on cat Fits.

Speaker 6 (29:43):
Pretty amazing, man, casting there is like gold mind.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (29:47):
Also pretty amazing that if you suck your thumb from
birth all the way to high.

Speaker 4 (29:52):
School, it will be as flat as a piece of paper.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
And the Morning Show with d J four and it's
string Boston's.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Number one for hip hop jam in ninety four five.

Speaker 3 (30:05):
All right, babes, that is gonna do it for us.
I don't know if you missed this one today form,
but this is this is a high on my list
as being one of my favorites. Could be could be
cracking my top five. But like I wonder, people will say,
what's wrong with Santy? I don't have the answer because
we're getting things like.

Speaker 6 (30:25):
This, But that is traffic with you Santi.

Speaker 4 (30:28):
That is traffic with your Santy.

Speaker 6 (30:31):
Yeah, that one I can't explain. I think they call
those a brain part. They had a lot of those lately.

Speaker 4 (30:38):
But I know it's every day that is traffic with
your Santi.

Speaker 6 (30:42):

Speaker 4 (31:02):

Speaker 5 (31:03):
That's a crazy word for the day. Sexual hobo sexual,
That's what it was.

Speaker 3 (31:07):
It sounds like we're saying homo sexual, but we're saying
hobo with a B as a boy as in. She
basically told us that people are going on these dating
sites because they don't have a place to live, and
that they're trying to just find a home.

Speaker 6 (31:21):
But she seems to keep finding them, which I started
questioning her algo or who, like, who is she swiping on?

Speaker 4 (31:27):
She started crazy, hobo sexually.

Speaker 5 (31:30):
You don't like hobos, you know what I mean? Get
