be honest. Sometimes now lately I get happy that it's
Monday because that means I've gotten through Sunday and the
hangovers like supposed to be an over. I had a
surprise fortieth birthday on Saturday night for my girl Court,
who lives in my neighborhood. A new friend, you know,

a new Marshfield friend, and I was the decoy. So
I had to bring her to the party and I
celebrated like it was my birthday. But we get there
and her husband had been warning me, like heay, she
doesn't want to tern forty. She doesn't want this party.
And again I know them, but I don't know them
well enough. I kind of thought he was kidding. We

come around the bend and she sees the party and
she's like no, Like oh it was I would say
it was a solid like seven minutes until she would
take another footstep one because of the surprise of the forty,
because of the fact that she didn't want it. She
told him not to do it. She didn't, she wasn't,

she didn't want to celebrate her birthday because she was
mad about it. Her best friends eventually told me at
the party that, like that day they didn't even text
her happy birthday because she didn't want to talk about it.
They text her like, wellness, check, how are you feeling?
Because that is how bad it was. At one point,
her husband just turned to her and goes, we're here, now,
let's go, Like you know, she was so mad. Her

cousin had to like come up and kind of coax
her to just like take a few more steps towards
the party. Mind you, Me and the fireman are just like, hey,
we've only known them for a year. I just did, like,
but when she finally walked in, he her husband also
told like, your sister is flu in for this from DC,
Like you're gonna need to like go to this party.

After a couple of drinks, I think she she she
relaxed a little bit. But I couldn't believe the difference
in a person like her and a person like me
who like lives for the attention versus somebody who hates it.
I've never seen it live action like that, because if
that was me, I'd be like, like, oh my all
my friends are here was celebrating me.

There's pictures like, Oh, my wife hates it.

It is so weird to see it like live actions
like that. That was nuts.

Well, I think it's also to the point of like,
for example, like my wife doesn't like compliments because she
doesn't like the attention of like all of that stuff.
So yeah, like parties like that, she absolutely hates it.
She dreads it. I have to tell her when we
when we're doing things like that because she doesn't want
the attention.

Well, the only part about it for me that stressed
me to the max was that a few days before
the party, so Saturday was the party, on like Wednesday,
you know, I knew she had no idea, So I
text her and I was like, Oh, let's talk about
our fits, Like what are we gonna wear? She sent
She sent me what she was planning on, and I

was like, honey, I didn't know how to say it
because I couldn't tip her off that it was a party.
But it looked like she was gonna go play pickleball
in a baseball hat. That's really what it was. And fine,
if we're just doing a regular night and that's you
want to go at leisure, cool, but not for a
fortieth surprise birthday party where you're the center of attention
and you're gonna take a thousand photos, a thousand photos.

So I ended up having to lie to her and
say that we talked about her birthday on air on Friday,
and a chef at a fancy restaurant and Duxbury reached
out to me and said they wanted us to come
in works it. Her immediate response was, oh my god,
well I got I'm down for that, but I got
to change my outfit. I have this dress all where

I was like, oh, thank you Jesus. So she did that,
and it's so crazy because she again confirming didn't know
she has her dress on. When we pick her up
and she has on flip flops, and I see that
she has heels in her purse and she's like, I'll
just Tossie's on rape before were we walk in, you know,
for dinner. So now we're getting out of the car
and she still has the flip flops on. I'm like, oh,

put those on now. She's like, dude, why, Like it's
not that serious. I said, you're not going to ruin
my Instagram aesthetic. I want a picture of us tonight.
Put the hills On that worked as well. Boom surprise.
I did my job. I did. I actually worked O
T part okay o T. And when I saw her
taking her first photo, I said, bet you're happy or
not that hot pink dress in a baseball habit. Yeah,

she did say at one point she goes. I did
think to myself, like, she's kind of be a little
bit annoying, like why is she so why she so
pressed over what I wear and why I can't put
my shoes on?

And it was a party, so I asume that we
drank right.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Just so heavily, and that I had two parties at night.
I had her fortieth birthday party and then I had
like a graduation combo party to hit and I just
actually played beer pong for the first time ten years.

I have the party and.

The second party. At the second party, because that was
more of like college aged kids, I also will say,
we walk into the second party and it's just much younger.
And I walk into a room, it's me and the fireman.
It's just all these like college aged kids. And I
thought to myself, I had like a quick passing, fleeting
moment where I thought they probably thought like the parents

are here, like the grown ups are. I don't know, dude,
I felt it.

No, you don't give old energy, Okay, because.

I felt it for a second, I.

Was like, yeah, no, I mean they might have looked
young to you, but you don't give off like old energy.

You still very young and popping, you know what. And
I assume by that point you were very drunk. So
they were probably like, she's probably down to do some
that's true.

It was a great night. But again, it was one
of those things where the firemen and I woke up
on Sunday we were like, how are we gonna do it?
How are we gonna parent? They're both up at five
fifty five, just wide awake. I can still taste the
booze in my mouth. Just But that's why I like
Monday's all that to say that Monday sometimes are better
for me because I'm always like, I gotta just get

through Sunday, get through this hangover and we'll be good.

That hangover feeling with younger kids is not fun.

It happens to me once a week now. It's pretty terrible.

And someday you will be able to tell them go
back to better go downstairs and you can and you
guys can just stay in bed and just have that.

A lot of baseball? Can I just say, for being
a man who's forty five went back to playing baseball,
off to eight years, I can still drop bombs. First
home run in eight years and it felt amazing. Run amazing.

You knew My oldest was there too. So I got
on video and I went home and I just walked
in the door like I was the forty five amazing amazing.

wanted to want to get your steps across, you could

went to Worcester for the Young Ins. We were up

know is true thus far. Coming into this morning, Astronomer
CEO Andy Byron, who was featured in the Coldplay video,
has since resigned. Astronomer's board of director announced over the
weekend that they accepted his resignation and will begin looking
for a new CEO. They also remember, didn't directly address

This was called the Chaotics, the Chaotics Singles Party. They
do parties all over the United States. It was at
the Moxie and when we got there around like nine o'clock.

It was packed.

There was a lot of people there, more guys or
more girls, definitely more women, which is not surprising.

I know it's not. That's why I knew that was
gonna happen.

I don't know how to ask this. Ask what was
the average like on a scale of one to ten,
like the average like you know scale of looks average five,
So I give a scale. Well, they have a bunch
of falls in there.

Say, I'll be honest, No one like really caught my eye,
but I will say, like, so when we walked in,
there were a lot more. So you got to do
a name tag and they were different colors to show
how what your age was. So you could pick twenties, thirties, forties,
or mind your business. There was an overwhelming more amount
of twenties than anything else.

Yeah, So I'm like, are people in their twenties really.

thirties in there, and then there were a couple forties.

say it was kind of cool to go to something
knowing everyone is single.

other bugs come up in here, they're going that they're
gonna kill them for me. So they was like one

like I'm not even scared of spiders. Are all still
lakes together of them? But one day I was playing
Xbox and one of them came right down from the
ceiling right in front of my face, like spider Man.

So I took two slippers and I was like blown

with that spider calling around.

So then I went back to the bathroom in the
area where I was leaving these spiders, and it was
so many of them. They had webs everywhere I looked around.
I was like, yo, these things are territorial. They're taking
over my house. So if I was you, I would
not do that. It was so creepy when that mind
of spiders, it was one spider. When I went back
after that spider came out in my face, it was
like eight nine spiders. I was like, nah, so imagine

mantis looking thing up on my ceiling the other day.

it's probably my bedroom.
