Speaker 1 (00:01):
And the jam In Morning show with DJ four and
it's Stig Morning, Boston's.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Number one for hip hop jam in ninety four or five. Hi, everybody,
good morning. Listen.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
Let me start out by saying, I know it can't
possibly be just us and our company that does things
like this, like team building exercises. I'm so sick of
team building exercises. We're way too grown to be out
here doing team building exercises.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
Maybe, if they're gonna do it, maybe the scenario should
be different. Maybe we go out and have a couple
drinks with people, we hang out, because that builds a team.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
I gotta tell everybody the scenario.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
So we're told a couple of weeks ago, hey, you
have to stay on Monday because we're playing bingo with
the sales team.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
And mind you, it's not just us.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Everybody's like, what we're playing bingo? I actually couldn't remember
how to play bingo. That's where the balls are.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
In the thing. Yeah, then it comes out with a
lighter than that.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Thanks thanks for spelling it, Bud.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
Some people don't know how to spell.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
So anyway, I like, all right, whatever, we're staying for bingo.
We always do what whatever's asked, like we're doing okay, fine,
I come in this morning.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
And the whole front part of the office is set
up for what is supposed to be bingo. Now it says,
welcome to iheart's speed dating.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Excuse me?
Speaker 4 (01:26):
Who?
Speaker 5 (01:27):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Where?
Speaker 4 (01:27):
When?
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Why? Who's Who's who am I speed dating with? And
what is happening?
Speaker 3 (01:31):
Because you said bingo, we're prepared for bingo. Now we're
now we got to find love with the sales staff.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
Now we have to get to know half the salespeep
that we don't know. So I guess that must be
the idea. And then they get to know Austin. Hopefully
they can sell some of the ideas.
Speaker 5 (01:42):
That we have.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Yeah, listen, the walk super to you.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
I obviously know what this is about it.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
I know what it is.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
I just wish that it was something that made more
like sense to the vibe of here speed dating bingo.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
Like this is like let's go yeah, let's hey, let's
go out.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
I agree.
Speaker 5 (02:04):
Listen, you're most social when you're more relaxing. When there's booze,
you can open up to people, you can talk about things.
Next thing, you know, you sparking I did, which is
what are they trying to do?
Speaker 6 (02:14):
Right?
Speaker 5 (02:14):
You sparking I and all of a sudden you get
somebody who's gonna get you some bread.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
I'm not starting to I'm not trying to start any
beef here, but start to me if I'm wrong. I
think we're one of the most approachable shows.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
I think we're the most We're out there talking, We're.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Always chopping it up though there.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Yeah, but you know it's like they do this and
then it feels forced and then everybody is just weird.
I listen, I'm gonna go there with a smile on
my face. I'm really gonna try our Our boss has
already come in here, being like we're gonna have to
separate you.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
You know, why do we use separate to separate your problem?
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Like together?
Speaker 3 (02:49):
I just think they know that if there's adult we'll talk,
we'll whisper to each other.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Clickie, yeah, all right. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
I remember when I was younger and we would do
the team building at is where you would.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
Do a trust fall. That's what you do.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Take me out there, Let's do a trust fall. That
would be more entertaining.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Absolutely, field trip, a field trip, or we watch everybody run.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Oh, that's one of my favorite We need to do that.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
If we got to get going because some of the
people here do not know how to.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
I see a video where you just make all of
your coworkers runs. You can see what they look like
running out that. That's building a team. That's but yeah, like,
let's listen, if we're really gonna do this, let's kick
an old school let's get out there and do a
trust fall.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
I'm gonna be honest with you.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
I don't want Billy Costa catch I don't want Lisa
catching men.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Justin can catch me.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
I feel like Winnie I could, I could hand it
when he could try to catch me.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
But you know, listen, get out there.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
The other tough thing about this it's an hour long.
What are you gonna do for an hour? For an hour,
we're going to talk to them.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
I also don't really remember the rules of speed dating.
So you said it's I mean, it's definitely a thing.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
So you sit there, you chat with the person for
like a minute, I think a bell rings or some thing,
and you move on. And so then what do we
pick love? I don't know what who we're most comfortable with?
Speaker 1 (04:06):
And this, like said rules, and if we're doing that,
then I'm just saying that in literal speed dating, he
already wants to date. I'm picking Sarah. Let's just put
it out there.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Listen.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
I don't want to make this weird for anybody, but like,
I'm picking the new guy.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
His wife listens to the show. Hi, not to be a.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Creep everyone else over there as age to the men
out there.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Yeah, like middlelife. What do you mean that's why we
did this? Yeah, this is the whole dating. She doesn't
want to date a guy in his sixties, Like, is
that a problem?
Speaker 2 (04:40):
Is that weird for you? I'm sorry, I want them.
I'm gonna have to tick the married one that's in
his thirties.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
You like what you like?
Speaker 2 (04:49):
So who are you picking?
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Get me a bag?
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Seriously, honestly, that's all.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
If you had to date one person here who.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
I love this game. If you had, he's not in.
Speaker 5 (05:00):
Uh in sales, So it goes my chill.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Oh that's so sweet. That's what everybody's thinking. That's what
everybody's thinking.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
I would like to know if anybody else just I
just give me one call of someone else being like Ash,
we do team building stuff all the time, and.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
If you do team building.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
What are we doing because like, really, all I know
is trustful trust fall.
Speaker 5 (05:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
And then at the other place where I worked at,
we went and did like a barbecue at like some island.
We did like a boat cruise, which is cool.
Speaker 5 (05:26):
Yeah, afternoon sounds expensive too, Yeah, but it was fine.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
It was fine.
Speaker 5 (05:30):
But I feel like those are the best ones, even
if they wanted to do it here. I have a
little pizza put.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
Christmas party or something. Was the last time we had
a Christmas party?
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Love a pizza party, Yeah, just like the olden days.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
But then they do that and then we complain about that,
So I don't know, no.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
Not waita you'd be like, I'm counting my calories and
I'm not ruining it for iHeart six one seven nine
three one one nine four five six one seven nine
three one one nine four five.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
I kind of now I feel like we're the only
ones doing this. Hi, everybody, Good morning sa Ashley in
the gym of morning show. As soon as the show
is over, we got to get about of here because
we are off to a team building exercise of doing
speed dating here at iHeart. So it's anybody that does
anybody that does a show here at iHeart plus all sales.
(06:19):
We're all going and we're doing speed.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Dating team building. The best way to build a team
is hire some more people, maybe tell us solve the problem.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
I like that attitude. I said, there's no way we're alone.
That I was like, I don't know, maybe we are.
Maybe we are the only people doing team building.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
And let me just also add in, I got this
DM before we get to what I think would be
the best idea for in here, I got a DM
that said the company I work for ash made us
build towers out of marshmallow and dry spaghetti.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
They would have zero chance out here with that.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Like what are they ten?
Speaker 2 (06:53):
Yeah? And what is it Jenga? Do we see high?
Speaker 6 (06:55):
We can build?
Speaker 3 (06:55):
Like?
Speaker 4 (06:56):
What do we?
Speaker 3 (06:56):
Selena is in Abington, Selena.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
You will do these things.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
You do them quarterly, which is a lot like this
is the first one I feel like we've had ever
that I can remember. So tell everybody what you guys
just did as a team building exercise, because I am in.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
So like I said, we.
Speaker 6 (07:20):
Do them fairly quarterly. And more recently, we had a
team outing team bonding and we did kickball and at
first everyone was kind of like fifty fifty, like, oh yeah,
maybe maybe not. But once we got to the field
and like we're playing a lot of us, like the
competitiveness kind of came out and such a fun time.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
See, Like that's the athleticism to that, that's up our alley,
like you and I I don't flor And says you
played the high school basketball, and I don't know anything
about that.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
He's the fun.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
But we would flourish absolutely any athletic that would be
sew up our alley. And and honestly, I think even
if we just did like a kiss versus jam and thing,
you know, I always.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
Like to have one that would make my life.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
I feel like we should. But that would be so
much fun, so much speed dating.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Yeah, I I I still Selena.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
We don't understand what it's going to be out there
at the speed dating, so once it happens, we can
report back. But Kickball, your company is doing the right thing.
I like this, Thank you for the call.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
Dodgeball is like another one, dodgeball, let's just put that on.
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
No, they couldn't. They wouldn't build handle it.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
They would not again, But kickball, I think everybody, I
think that's a fair game for everybody.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
It's put the teams up, you know. Yeah, but of
course not. They won't do that speed dating speed dating.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
They also said we can win some sort of prize
like a look and b.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
How give car to the one ten grill, but it's
fifty bucks and you have to use.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
It before they were shaded.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
Are shading that one ten girl has the best buffalo
chick I've ever had in my life.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
And that's not the point. The point is that prizes
give us cash. It was a thousand bucks, We'll all
be thrilled.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
Thousand, Ok.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
Why is that crazy way to five hundred, five hundred
buck bucks cash?
Speaker 3 (09:18):
We haven't got a raise in three years, and you
think they're going to give out five hundred bucks for
speed dating.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
Given Billy costs a lot more than that.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
Shots
