Speaker 1 (00:01):
Daddy and the jam In Morning Show with DJ fourn
It's saw Tig Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Bustin's number one for hip hop jam In ninety four
or five.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
Oh man, my heart is melting right now.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
I can't wait to take this call. As you guys know,
if you are a longtime listener of this show or
if you're new to the show, we used to do
a segment called behind the Wall, and that segment started
because of a guy named Hollywood. Hollywood wrote us a
letter years ago when we first started the show and

(00:32):
he was like, Hey, I'm locked up. I'm in jail
and I listened to your show every morning. It helps
me get through the day.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
And Hollywood really.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Like set things off for us to start this segment
because once I read his letter on air, we would
get ten fifteen letters a day from other inmates being like, I,
you know, shout out to Hollywood.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
I also listened to your show every day.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
The letters then slowly started to dwindle and then they stopped.
We've heard rumors it just disappeared. Yeah we got we
we got blocked. But either way, we do know that
people that are you know, in specific housing still listen.

(01:17):
So if you're somebody that is listening from there. You've
made a mistake very clearly. You have to pay for
your mistake. But we believe in second chances, and I
think people can change, and we have two amazing examples
of that. Hollywood and Blanco are checking in with us.
This is so exciting because I actually remember the day
that I read Hollywood's letter on air, his first letter.

(01:40):
And I also remember the day, Hollywood when you got
out and you called us and you were just like
hi on life.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
You hadn't select. You were just so excited to be out,
and we were like you take a deep breath, Everything's
gonna be fine. You're out.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
I remember asking you how freedom tasted, and it was
a time. What have you You've been out for two
year now, which is crazy. Time moves so fast. What
have you been up to since you got out of jail.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
I've been doing the things that I'm supposed to be accomplishing,
like getting businesses done. Just currently open up a Boba
tea shop in this past June, and now we're starting
to open up a few more with a chain of
supermarkets because they like to drink so much called Ka Sweet.
If you ever in a Greater Atlanta area, come by man.
We got we got all different types of stuff. We

(02:30):
cooked fried chicken, we got four different flavored strawberry fried chicken,
mangle fried chicken, pineapple fried chicken, regular fried chicken, beef,
fried rice, and panadas. We cooked pastries, We got cakes,
and I make probably the best drinks and Greater Atlanta
because I ain't see nobody touching this yet.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Wow, strawberry chicken that I would have to try that.
So you moved to Georgia, you packed it up, and
you're in Atlanta now and you are having these businesses
and you're doing well.

Speaker 5 (03:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
I mean sometimes you gotta move away from what you
had before, what you used to have to go forward
because the old things that keep you stagnant. And me
and Blanc always said to you, guys, we ain't trying
to be stagnant. Even what we're trying to do from
a prison self, if it's starting a radio segment or
trying to get laws changed, or trying to help things
out and set up things for us to be successful

(03:23):
in the future, that's what we was always about. So
it's just a continuation that.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Is it's amazing to hear what you've done. You know,
we haven't heard from you too. Shack checks in with
us often. Shack actually hung out in the studio for
a little bit a couple months back.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
I have to ask, and I know I did ask
you this.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
At one point, and you and I had chatted about it,
But you wrote me that first letter. You're in your
jail cell. I start reading the letter. How was that
like the weirdest feeling for you ever? Were you in shock?
And then what was the aftermath like in jail that day?

Speaker 4 (04:00):
I know, it's crazy as the thing is when you
read my letters. For some reason, I had missed that segment.
So when I found out that you read my letters,
when you read Shacks letter, and I was sitting like
I was saying, I was sitting in my cell and
you read Shacks letter. At first he was like, shout
out to Hollywood. So I was like, damn, someone in Boston.
What's the named Hollywood? It was like, where are you at?

Speaker 3 (04:26):
I'm gonna go back and Hollywood, Hollywood? Remember how many
no cursing? I know it's been a while.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
We had to dump you give your your actual jail
a shout out, and you were like, oh my god,
they're talking about man.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
Yeah, I jump up and Blanco was in the cellar
cross from me. You know, he writing music. I'm kicking
on the door. His headphones is on, he a and
hearing me.

Speaker 6 (04:48):
And then that's when we decided to call y'all that
day first time crazy.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
It's crazy what you started, because after I read your letter,
it was like the floodgates had opened and I I
was giving a ton of letters, and not just from
you know where you were, but female prisons everywhere.

Speaker 7 (05:06):
It was.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
It was wild. You mentioned Blanco. What's he up to
these days? How's he doing?

Speaker 6 (05:12):
He's right here on the line.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
We got a little freeway actually going on.

Speaker 7 (05:20):
Yeah, yeah, he called me up.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
He called me up. Yes, yes, how you doing? Actually, everybody, DJ,
I go.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Give us an update on your life. What's going on?

Speaker 7 (05:32):
You know, I just don't want to confuse the viewers.
You know, I am O Blanco, but I'm on ex White.
So that's just so you can understand. So basically, you know,
right now, I've been doing my music. I'm on TV
right now. I got a documentary out called Don't Judge
Me on All you do is look up on White.
You will don't judge me. Yeah, and I'm doing that.
I'm basically collaborate with the TV network gb H and

(05:55):
I've been going around different so far as it right now,
there's a lot more on the menu. But as a now,
I've been going to universities and I do they show
my documentary, how do how do a musical performance? I
perform and then we do a little Q and A.
And you know, I have online store and all that
stuff as well with it. So I've been doing my
TV thing and trying to get deep into the actings

(06:16):
and music.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
You know what, Well, the three.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Of us, I've discussed this and like us and on
this show that there it's just it's statistics, and it's
been proven that a lot of people that get out,
you know, they kind of can't figure out what their
life is going to look like outside of a prison
wall and outside of that scheduling and and and some
people really don't ever recover and they end up back

(06:42):
in because they just can't figure it out. So, you know,
I think there are people listening right now that are
locked up hearing the two of you talk about what
you've done with your life, and I just think it's
amazing and I think you are going to inspire some
people to you know, you can get out and you
really can make a name for yourself.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
And Shack's doing the same thing. And I'd love to
see it for all of.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
You guys, because we've also had people write us letters
get out and they're back in, so it can it
can go two ways, and I like seeing that it
went this way for the two of you. So thanks
for calling, Thanks for checking in Hollywood one more time.
If somebody's in the Atlanta area, where should they go
get their bobo te and their strawberry chicken?

Speaker 6 (07:25):
Yeah, k sweet, It's Antar Boulevard and we have one
of them. We have one tomorrow at twenty two fifty
Lake Harvin Drive, and we have one in McDonough at
a Jiu Jitsu gym. It's called Elite Jiu Jitsu Fitness.
You can come to all three locations and we'll be
expanding more surely.

Speaker 4 (07:43):
Throughout the year. Check our Blocos documentary on w GBH.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
And guys, judge, are you on socials? Are you guys
on social so we can okay go.

Speaker 7 (07:55):
Ahead on exit Instagram? Somebody game is on at White
Official and I'm just honest, wh if you look it
up even so, spotify any of that. My own life store,
the ones store, Yeah, just on exp my name basic.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
What do you What do you sell in the store?

Speaker 7 (08:13):
Oh well, I got sneaker's shirt. Coffee mugs.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
That's so weird.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
I don't I don't see any onyx white mugs in here.
We'll be waiting for our guess.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
No, we're looking. We don't. Yeah, we don't see anything.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
And Hollywood, same goes to you next time you're in
the area, if you ever come back, we will be
expecting some some food.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Hop about.

Speaker 6 (08:38):
First of all, I could definitely y'all could pop off
here and I can hear you drink.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
First of all, you're building this empire down south, which
sounds amazing. But if I recall I invested some money
into your company, what's my take? What's my percentage?

Speaker 7 (08:55):
I just want to know you forget about it.

Speaker 6 (09:01):
Listen, I'll tell you. I'll tell you the truth. Sci
I haven't started on the website thing that we was
all talking about. I'm like trying to get unstable so
that way I have the funds in the and and.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
But you got to cut him in. You got to
cut him into to give the man a t forgot.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
See, this is bad.

Speaker 6 (09:20):
This is a bad thing because Santis saying that. Now,
so all the people that's on to fund me now
they're gonna say.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
All right, well, listen, thank you so much for checking in.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
I think for people that have been listening to this
show from the beginning, you certainly made their day.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
We love you, guys.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Keep keep doing great things, guys.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
By guys. Wow, happy listen.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
We there was a time where Hollywood called us shortly
after he got out. You remember this, like, wasn't sleeping,
wasn't eating in the studio, he was doing And I'm
so happy he got out of here. I think leaving
was probably the best thing for him ever.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
And yeah, four point four start rate on Google reviews.

Speaker 7 (10:05):
Right now, his company has the case sweets of Boba
and Bakery.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
I hate saying this, but I'm proud of them. They've
done that. I've done well saying that.

Speaker 6 (10:14):
You just say, you know, he doesn't think anybody coming
out of jet with not anybody.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
But if you go buy the numbers, people usually don't
take down this path. So that's why I am proud
of that.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
That's why I said that because a lot of people
end up back inside, and that's why Hollywood was like
that probably was his trajectory, and he's like, I got
to get out of here. So it's not Hollywood and Oblanco. Okay,
we're still checking in stuff. Don't go anywhere six one
seven nine three one one nine four five. We're talking

(10:44):
about anything you want call me good morning. Hi, everybody,
Good morning. It's Ashley and the Jam of Morning. So
it's a It's not often we're all be like, hey,
don't go anywhere, this person, don't go anywhere. And then
we get a call where I just have to go
to that call.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
And if I did tell you to hold on, still
stay on hold. We will get to you tomorrow one
hundred percent.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
But it would be remiss with me not to go
to Lexi and Haverol, just in case Lexi gets cold
feet pun intended, Lexi.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
This might be a first for me in my radio career.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
Foreign has a call screener and he types in for
me what people want to call and talk about, and
for you it says, I slept with a vampire who
brought his own toys to the party. Yeah, well, let's
tell tell me about the vampire. Tell me about the party,

(11:42):
be careful, telling me about the toys, what's going on?

Speaker 3 (11:44):
Yes, keep it clean.

Speaker 5 (11:46):
Yeah, definitely censor. Yeah. So I never do dating apps,
but when I was single one time, I was like,
you know, I'll just whatever, try it. And Little Experiment
Hinge was I think, like the best one they had,
like the hottest guys. So I was talking to some

(12:06):
guy on there and he just gave me like vampire vibes,
like his looks, like his demeanor, and I was like,
I sort of got this guy is like a vampire,
Like I just know it, and.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
You just.

Speaker 5 (12:19):
Like more my god, yeah, more like vampire diaries kind
of actually okay, okay, yeah, but I was digging it.
I was like counted into that. So I was like
we were talking for whatever a week or so, and
he facetimed me for the first time. And when he
facetimed me, he was in a dark room and it
was just like glowing red and I was like, literally

(12:40):
the first thing I said to him, I go, I
knew it. He goes, what And I'm like that you
were a vampire and he was like, damn it, how
did you know? He totally played along and I was like,
this is so funny. So fast forward. We ended up
like talking a couple more weeks and then he comes.
We did something a little different. We didn't go out
to dinner. He came to my house and we like
cooked dinner to get other and we had our own

(13:04):
little dessert before we made dessert, and we were, you know,
doing our thing, and I like to like use toys sometimes,
and he actually like pulled out his own and I
was like, oh my god, wow, bring toys.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
That's wild. So he basically brought like a fanny pack
worth of goodies goodies back because he was over yet. Okay, okay,
did he eat? Did he eat? Did you watch? Did
you watch him physically eat food?

Speaker 4 (13:37):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (13:37):
I did?

Speaker 2 (13:40):
God good, good go Yeah obviously not a vampire. Confirmed.
Good to know, good to know, good to know. Where
is he nowtime?

Speaker 5 (13:49):
We we talked from time to time whatever, like I'm
with somebody now or whatever, so I'm reflectble, I don't
I don't really do that or whatever. But he I
think he's he travels. I mean he goes like Colombia,
he goes to all these other places he's originally he
originally from, like Boston. So sometimes when he's a marrying
he hits me up, but I'm like, no, sorry, like

(14:09):
I'm with somebody like but you know, he's a he's
a backup plan for like when you're single, you know.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
I mean, I'm sure your boyfriend would love to hear
you say that I got a vampire as plan B.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
All right, LEXI, Well listen, Now we know there's a
place for vampires in this world, and it's on hinge
Yes it is.

Speaker 5 (14:27):
Yeah, that's where they go. If if people are into.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
That, I love that. Well, thank you so much for
the call.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Interesting Listen, I'm not gonna say that being such a
big Twilight fan, it's not a thought in my head that,
you know, maybe maybe the Collins are out there, I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Yeah, but then you have to be with one and
either turn or you're gonna watch yourself die.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Yeah, And I mean it's it's easy to know. They're
not gonna live in a They need to live in
a place that's kind of always gloomy because they can
be spotted in the sun and really, depending on the
vampire they are, some vamps the sun kills them.

Speaker 5 (14:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (15:00):
True.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
By the way, am I the only one who's disturbed
that she told that whole story with a kid in
the car listening to that, or is it just a
Vampa night.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
She was like, be quiet, mom, he's talking about her jilts.
