Speaker 1 (00:01):
Especially ended Jamie Morica with DJ Foreign and Santi.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
When you need to know, we got you three things
you need to know on Boston's number one for hip
hop and the best throwbacks you haven't any more?
Speaker 3 (00:13):
Five? All right, everybody, Wednesday, June eighteenth. We obviously just
talked about it in length, but in case you weren't listening,
let's run through yesterday. No verdict. Obviously, Today we're waking
up the third full day of deliberations for the Jersey
jersey I keep saying jersey for the jury and the
Karen Reid retryal. Remember the jury makeup is seven women
(00:34):
and five men, and they came back initially mid afternoon
with three questions for Judge Bev Canoni.
Speaker 4 (00:42):
I received three questions from the jury, what is the
timeframe for the OUI charge offense zero zero two, Section
five o UI at twelve forty five or OUI at
five am? The second our video clips of Karen into
views evidence, how can we consider them? And the third
(01:05):
does convicting guilty on a sub charge example offense to
number five convict the overall charge?
Speaker 3 (01:13):
So walst Bev is kind of deciding how she's going
to answer those said questions. We learned just recently from
Nick Rocco that they were all in court when they
got this big, massive fourth question.
Speaker 4 (01:24):
If we find not guilty on two charges but can't
agree on one charge, is it a hung jury on
all three charges or just one charge. I got some
input from the defense at cydebar, essentially saying if we
could just ignore it. We can't ignore it. To me,
it's a theoretical question, and we don't answer theoretical questions.
(01:48):
I tell the jurors that they're not to be concerned
with the consequences of their verdict, and that's exactly what
they're doing here. So I would propose just writing simply.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
This is not a question I can answer on this
and sending a bath. She sent them home at four
pm yesterday. They're back in at nine am.
Speaker 5 (02:06):
But it's.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
Like another hunger.
Speaker 6 (02:10):
Yeah, especially today. If they can't get to a decision today,
then we're definitely she does.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
I hate if they can't, can't, if they can't remember,
she's looking at three major charges. There are some that
include lesser offences, but we got second degree murder, manslaughter
while operating a motor vehicle under the influence, and leaving
the scene of a fatal collision. We just had it
long back and forth with Nick, But I interpret that
(02:35):
is Hey, two of these major charges we got a
not guilty verdict, but we can't decide on the third.
I'm leading towards that manslaughter charge just because the OUI
and the dock was mentioned. Remember in the dock she
was singing like a bird talking about I was so
drunk I had nine I put a hit him.
Speaker 7 (02:51):
I didn't know, Yeah, but clearly there's a divide in
the room on that one part there. Clearly, I think
it is the OUI that they're stuck on. And I
think it's one of those things where it's like, so
if you find at guilty on all you are, does
it that means she's guilty on mansload?
Speaker 1 (03:03):
That could be the debate. Again, we don't know. This
is all speculation, you know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (03:06):
And we could do this all day. What's it going
to be? What do we think? I mean? Nick's gonna
find out for us. We know for a fact the
jury will not be in court tomorrow. He's hearing that
they might not even be in there on Friday. So
could we have a verdict today or no? Verdict going
into the weekend.
Speaker 5 (03:23):
Nothing today.
Speaker 7 (03:24):
Those questions were telling it could be today, but for
show of it's not today Friday. If they're back and
caught all Monday, whenever the next day is.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
I tend to think if we don't get something today,
especially after them asking those questions, whoever's dug in? Why
wouldn't they be dug in after the weekend? What's the
weekend going to change?
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Sleep on it?
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Maybe we'll see, all right. Karen didn't take the stand,
and either will Diddy. We're learning from multiple sources he
will not testify in his own defense. I'm not disappointed
and or shocked at this, obviously, I felt like I
knew this one was coming. Prosecution in Ditty's case says
they believe they will rest on Friday, meaning the defense
will take over. They said their case could be less
(04:05):
than two days, but no more than five. Did he
is looking at sex trafficking, transportation to engage in prostitution,
and racketeering. Didny's trial could be over before Karen's.
Speaker 5 (04:15):
That just seems so fast.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
I mean, yeah, like it started after I'm just trying
to make sense of it. But I'm sure Diddy's happy
that it's cruising.
Speaker 6 (04:26):
I mean, I guess so, yeah, But at the same time,
not if he goes away for life, right, he won't
be happy.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
To pay these people. But yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 7 (04:35):
Sometimes I feel like I rushed a rushed a court
case might not be in the benefit of the Yeah,
it doesn't give thorough but you know what, they don't
have to rush what they have.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
But if they're sayings only going to take two days,
no more than five, like they must feel pretty confident,
you know, all right? Speaking of some of those charges,
R Kelly had a lot of the same charges when
he got that thirty year sentence. He, by the way,
was in the news yesterday and I didn't report on
it because it wasn't from sources that I felt like
would be concrete enough for me to tell you guys
(05:05):
about it. I didn't want to give you fake news.
But as of this morning, we're finding out from someones
I actually trust that R. Kelly may have been given
it too much of his medication at night an overdosed
in prison last week. His lawyer said that basically he
was administered an amount of medication that significantly exceeded what
he should have been taking. As a safe dose for
(05:26):
his sleeping pills and his anxiety medication, causing him to
overtose overdose. They gave him amount of medication that definitely
could have killed him. So his lawyers say he got
to the hospital and within an hour they were kicking
him out, sending him back to jail. And his lawyers
were like, he was denied surgery. He has blood cloths
and his lungs that are going to threaten his life.
He needs to be back into the hospital and hospital
(05:47):
records will confirm that.
Speaker 5 (05:49):
So clearly people want him dead.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
I mean this is the second time.
Speaker 5 (05:52):
Yeah, Like, what's he doing back?
Speaker 3 (05:54):
I remember the guy came out and said that people
inside the jail were trying to pay him off because
the guys already start a life sentence to kill r Kelly.
Speaker 5 (06:02):
Yeah what like what?
Speaker 3 (06:03):
What?
Speaker 7 (06:06):
Like?
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Anyone they want to hear a remix.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Ignition Rob today and he's like, yeahs you food.

Six one seven nine three one one nine four five
six one seven nine three one one nine four five
Call us. We're talking about anything you want. Melissa's in Saugus.
Melis called us yesterday she was going to Dedham. Are
we doing it again for the third day of a Welda?
We're doing it?
Speaker 7 (07:48):
We are?
Speaker 8 (07:49):
I don't have my partnering crime today. He was not
about getting up at six am.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
Good? You know I I how did he?
Speaker 7 (07:56):
So?
Speaker 3 (07:56):
By the way, when Melissa called yesterday, she told the
three of us that she was bringing her nineteen year
old son and we were like, poor kid, Dad, poor kid.
Mommy's wearing pink, screaming free Karen read. He's like, I
want to be in bed. I'm nineteen, So you let
him sleep in today? Are you going solo?
Speaker 7 (08:10):
I am?
Speaker 8 (08:11):
I actually met a TikToker here, so I'm going to
go hang out with her and I have a friend coming.
But I drove in solo.
Speaker 5 (08:17):
Got it?
Speaker 3 (08:17):
Okay? And who's this TikToker? Just like a crime solver?
Speaker 8 (08:22):
No, she's just a girl. I think her name is OMG.
Speaker 7 (08:27):
Something team.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
Okay, So tell us about being down there in debt Ham,
because obviously we didn't go yesterday. What's the vibe? Do
you are there any Is there anybody down there that
thinks that Karen did it? Is it just all free
Karen readers like, tell me everything.
Speaker 8 (08:46):
So I haven't found anyone that says that they think
she did it. I'm sure there are some in the crowd.
I did go live on TikTok yesterday and get roasted
because people are like, you guys have no jobs and
is this the unemployed line? And I'm like, yeah, we're
all We're all waiting for our eb T benefits to
kick in. Like, what are you talking about right now?
Speaker 3 (09:06):
Listen? It is a common thing for people I asked.
I've asked many people that go down the time. I'm like,
how are you doing it?
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Like?
Speaker 3 (09:14):
Are you using vacation time for this? I mean, it's
it's not it's not an unreasonable question.
Speaker 8 (09:21):
Am I using vacation time? I'm not working right now?
So this is my still my day, got it?
Speaker 3 (09:26):
Okay. I just don't think for a lot of the
people down there, they probably a full time jobs. They
got to be using like vac hours or whatever it
is to go. You know, I've again, I've asked people
that have been spending a lot of time downe and Debnham,
how the hell are you doing it? I know yesterday
that I meant teachers.
Speaker 8 (09:44):
Yeah, so they were out for school, so got it?
Speaker 3 (09:46):
So that makes sense. Did you see anything worth note
that you should report to us?
Speaker 8 (09:54):
No, but everyone was very excited. I mean we really
really thought we were getting a verdict yesterday. I mean
we were on the edge of our seat. We were
we were like, it's coming, it's coming. So I really
think today I feel like the girl and mean girls
when they're like, oh, there's a what is it nance
(10:14):
it's already raining, Like I feel like if I if
I grab myself, I'm like, there's one hundred percent chance
we're getting a verdict.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
Right, So question, do you bring like a soccer chair
or do you stand the entire time?
Speaker 8 (10:26):
No, I bring a chair.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
I got to, Yeah, you must have to.
Speaker 8 (10:29):
And then I have a cooler full of snacks and stuff.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
Okay, and then does a couple of people around you
put the fan up on the phone and you guys
kind of watch the clock together. It's like the Super Bowl. Okay, Melissa,
did we lose you?
Speaker 5 (10:44):
Shd it go?
Speaker 3 (10:46):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (10:47):
No money to pay the phone?
Speaker 5 (10:48):
Listen, if you're taking vacation day to go to this,
that set.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
Like if we were like we're not coming to work today,
we're going to dead and we would have to take
a vacation day.
Speaker 7 (10:58):
I will even say that there's some people who probably
quit their jobs or got fired because of them.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
On I would argue too, that there's some people that
are fake sick, but they're down there.
Speaker 5 (11:08):
They're gonna be sick for a week straight, like they
don't care.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
Some people lost their job to go sit over there.
Speaker 6 (11:15):
I understand that they believe in this thing so passionately
that they're going to go down there, But to lose
your job to take vacation day, to me, that's crazy nuts. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
Well, remember Erica, I asked her that question because my
girl's down there every day, she's been down there, boots
on the ground, I believe they call it. And she
was like, I can do it. My husband supports me,
and like he's he backs me on doing it, and
we're fine.
Speaker 6 (11:37):
Not everybody has a husband who works like that and
you can support Like, these people are losing money to
go around there.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
Hey your Yeah, it's a lunacy. Hey a day or so,
but they're bringing full Like Melissa packed a full cooler
for the day. But she's listen, you're out of a
job and you're a free Karen reader, why not. Indeed,
you should be going around putting you can be on Indeed,
whilst down you.
Speaker 7 (12:00):
Can pack a lunch and go sit down someway. You
can move around and go get a job in the
market basket. Yeah, they're so excuse why you don't have
a job, because you can put in the effort, you
just don't want to. I'm not saying that's the case
for time. I'm not saying that's the case for her.
So don't call back and get and get mad. I'm
just saying, though, that's a lot of dedication and if
you could do that, even drag your son to the spot,
you could get a job. Show.
Speaker 5 (12:21):
Yeah, yeah, you're paying for gas to again just watch
it on YouTube with all of us like.
Speaker 3 (12:26):
You're doing all of that to have to be silent
and do the signal for I love you and right, they.
Speaker 7 (12:31):
Can't you emode you now. Everybody everybody's account, they don't change.
They they avatars to the little to I love.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
You symbol, the pink background.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
I'm nervous.
Speaker 5 (12:39):
I can't do this again, guys. I can't do this because.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
If it gets any crazier. Amount six one seven nine
three one one nine four five six one seven nine
three one one nine four five call us. We're talking
about anything you want. It's the check in only on
jammin I Thank you everybody. Good morning Ashley and the
jam In Morning Show. We are doing the check in
right here. We're talking about you, your life, your world.
(13:03):
We have this talk back that we got.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
The hate that Santi constantly has for Lynn, it has
to be like a deep embedded issue. Like it's probably
because the dude that was with his girl at that
party that he called the cops on was from Lynn
or something, because what why do you always have it
all for Lynn?
Speaker 5 (13:24):
Like you need some therapy, bro?
Speaker 6 (13:28):
So the guy who was with my girls actually from
Salem is now a teacher in Beverly so so no,
not that it's because when I was younger, the Link
kids used to come over to Salem and beat us up.
So I've always had like this hatred. So yeah, and
then also like Lynn is not pretty. It's just that simple.
And if you live in Lynn, you know what I'm
talking about.
Speaker 5 (13:48):
Period.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
You do hate Lynn?
Speaker 1 (13:51):
Yeah, you do it, You just like hate.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
Santi also tells me that it's never Sonny there you
make up the saying about Lynn though that exist for
a lot.
Speaker 5 (14:01):
You don't come out the way you went in.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
Yeah, like Lynn changes you. What does Lynn do to people?
Speaker 6 (14:06):
I mean, I guarantee you right, like like here, now,
look out the window. If you're in the city of Lynn,
look outside. Do you see the sun?
Speaker 7 (14:14):
No?
Speaker 5 (14:15):
I rest my case.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
I don't see this on in Medfords.
Speaker 5 (14:21):
So I'm just saying that.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
So it's got it, Okay. I want to end the
check in on a semi emotional note. I got this
dm and and I'm happy that I got it because
I've been kind of wanting to say this all morning
and I didn't really know how to say it. But
I think this is a good end for it. So
it's a good morning, Ashley. I just want to shout
(14:43):
out all the families experiencing infertility, especially the ones that
have to pay for it out of pocket. I'm on
my way to an appointment now. I've had to pick
up a second job to help make the payments. That
is from uh That's a message I got from Christy today.
You know, I I like the celebratory mode. Obviously, this
time last year I was contracting on air Tomorrow on
(15:06):
June nineteenth, I gave birth to Daisy, my second baby.
But that journey for me was not easy. It didn't
it didn't come easy. I had a miscarriage before I
had Laila. I had three miscarriages in between Layla and Daisy.
And you know, there was a time period in my
life where I wasn't able to go on Instagram and
(15:29):
see other people post like look at my baby's first birthday,
look at my baby's first birthday party, because I I
was so jealous and I kept thinking, why couldn't that
happen for me? Why why can't I get that? You know,
so remiss of me not to mention as I'm having
all these big moments in my life and celebrating that,
there was a time period where I was in like
(15:51):
the darkest place of my life and I didn't think
it was ever going to happen for me, and it did.
So I know there's a lot of women that listen
to this show that are struggling with fertility. Like Christy's
message that I got today, and I just want you
to know that I see you, I was you. There's
light at the end of the tunnel. It can happen
for you too. But you know, my story isn't if
you're somebody new to the show, isn't as simple as
(16:13):
I have these two beautiful babies and like that's it.
The road was really really hard for me, and it
was dark for a very long time. There was a
period there where, you know, every single time I went
to the bathroom I was worried that I was going
to be miscaring, And even my last pregnancy, even when
I was pregnant with Daisy, every single day, I worried
every day every day.
Speaker 5 (16:31):
I've told you this before.
Speaker 6 (16:32):
I proud of you for speaking on topics like this,
especially this, because I think you give hope for so
many people out there who are struggling with this and
there's something that's not easily talked about. Yeah, I've tought
for females to talk about this also so I can
do so much I get.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
I like, literally, I'm getting choked up right now thinking
about it because I remember I was miscaring I think
for like the second or the third time, and a
girl that I know was announcing her second baby, and
I couldn't look at it was. I was happy for her,
but I was also just so stuck in this sadness
(17:07):
for myself and I felt so so alone. And it
wasn't until I started talking about my miscarriages and how
I was going through it that I started finding out
that there was so many other people. The statistic one
in six women struggle with infertility one in six, so
it's far more people than not. And then once I
started talking about it, I had other people come out
(17:29):
and be like, ash I have three kids, but I
had four miscarriages or two or one or whatever it is.
So I think the number one thing I want to
say is you're not alone. Number two, if you're struggling
with infertility and you're struggling, seeing my posts or you know,
the parties and the and the birthday pictures, I get it.
I was exactly exactly where you are, and you can
(17:51):
be where I'm at someday too. Like this isn't this
isn't the end. So I just want to I just
wanted to get that out, and I didn't know really
where to do it because it is an emotional thing
and it's hard. But so many women that listen to
this show still to this day will message me, Hey, Ashley,
I just went to my appointment. I had a miscarriage
and I didn't know who to write, and I know
that you've gone through it, and I've talked to a
(18:11):
bunch of women, and it's just it is not It's
just not as easy as like I'm gonna get pregnant
and it's gonna be just flowers and rain and all.
It's just not that way. It's it's hard.
Speaker 6 (18:21):
One of the times you found out, we had a
movie screening that night, and I remember you texting me
and telling me, and then I was like, you still
want to go tonight, like we don't have to, and
you said yes. We got some drinks after the movie.
I dropped you off back at your house and we
pulled up to your to your house, and I remember
there was a sweet second there where you like took
a deep breath, sat there for a second, and I
could tell that I was hitting you once again, that
(18:43):
maybe in like just the moment that you had forgotten
about it, but then it hits you again.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (18:46):
I don't know what that feeling is, but I saw
you in a way I never did where I could
see emotionally you were carrying it.
Speaker 5 (18:53):
So I've seen you go through it.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
Yeah, And I think you know one thing, somebody told
me that stood out was that at you know, each
miscarriage that I had was Daisy. She just wasn't ready yet.
So I think if you can kind of put your
mind into that mind frame where it's like, yes, you're struggling,
but your baby's coming. The baby's just not ready to
be here yet, that I think that helped me and
(19:16):
that can help a lot of people. So at Ashley Felm,
my tweets and the Ashley if you're listening and you're
going through it, just know that, you know, I understand
if it's hard to see posts and everybody else being
happy when you're you're struggling, but there is light at
the end of the tunnel for you. I'm I'm here
celebrating my baby's first birthday tomorrow, and I you know,
I just want everybody to know it's not as always.
(19:36):
It's not as easy as it is for other people.
Some people, some people go through it. So if you're
that person, I love you, I see you. It's gonna
be okay.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
Dashy and the Boy with DJ Feign, it's such a
big morning.
Speaker 3 (19:49):
Bustin's number one for hip hop jam in ninety four
or five, Foreign huge news, massive news huge. I just
did my last in studio breast pump, really the last one.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
So was you supposed to do only a certain amount?
Speaker 3 (20:08):
Well, you know, after a year's time, the baby like
she's mainly eating breakfast, lunch, dinner, and she has milk
obviously in between. But you can start weaning them off
breast milk at the age of one. So I'll still
breastfeed her before nabs in before bed, but ask for
pumping in the studio and that type of stuff done.
See it, the pump is gone at one. At one,
(20:32):
they start to get most of their nutrition from actual food.
Speaker 5 (20:35):
Copy, and then you're going to breastfeed until she's like five.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
Right, Yes, that's my game plan.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
No, that's expensive liquid then, so we're just gonna let
it sit.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
Well, No, I'll still produce, but I won't produce as much.
She'll only nurse when I'm at home, so from like
you know, one pm on, so my body will kind
of like acclimate to that.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
I was about to ask, it'll take a little bit.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
If we're DMI, I might be a little will pain
the first week or so, but then it will dissipate. No,
I don't need your help, and thank you.
Speaker 5 (21:06):
For that massage, but when my back it's like a
massage helps.
Speaker 3 (21:12):
I am going to be sick. I you know, it
was crazy because I posted about this yesterday, but I
felt the need to say like that because I'm proud
of myself. I mean, I breastspent two kids not a
single drop of formula the entire time. But I didn't
want anyone to think that was any shade towards formula.
If you're a formula mom, that's amazing. Do whatever you
gotta do, you have to feature kid, But it's just
the female body is literally next level. It's amazing.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
