was driving along Edgewater Drive when a massive commercial truck

with a well known retail company's logo veered into her
lane and slammed into her car, which flipped into a ditch.
The trucker was cited for reckless driving, but he's under insured.
My sister's injuries are severe, multiple surgeries, rehabit, ongoing care.
The well known retail company says the driver was an

independent contractor using one of its least trucks, so they're
dodging responsibility. The leasing company denies any liability to the
insurance we do have is nowhere near enough. Is there
anything a lawyer can do to help us? This is
another of those situations, and we've had lots of them
over the over decade. Now, you and I have been

talking where it's all a bunch of finger pointing and
nobody's going to own up to anything.

Unfortunately, it's a typical we'll never pay. But fortunately the
retail company is responsible because when you lease a car
or a truck, it's like owning the car, and the
owner of the car is responsible for the actions or

neckligeons of the driver. So that's that poor injured person
should be able to make a full recovery if they
call an experienced personal injury lawyer asap.

And what's on their side I would think is this
is a well known retail company. To me, that signals
they've got plenty of insurance.

I agree that I think you know, with a good lawyer,
they'll be able to make a full and ste substantial recovery.

Certainly their insurance company or the retailer. The retail company
must know what you've just explained to us. So in saying, hey,
we're not responsible, all they're doing is kicking the can
down the road. Don't they realize that.

Maybe they hope that the person will just, you know,
take a hole and crawl into it.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
That's true, and I'm sure some would just give up
and deal with whatever they have to deal with. Far
better to get a legal professional on your side and
get at least get an opinion.

Absolutely, I should always call an experienced personal entry lawyer
when you're involved in a serious accident.
