Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome back. Oh and gee, it's been a while.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Yeah, it's been like what three weeks. We keep saying that.
I feel like every time we record, we're like.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Oh, it's been so yeah, we kind of suck, to
be honest, I mean not really. I mean it's more
so me because well, yeah, I went, I went on
the cruise, okay, and then I left to Florida for
like three weeks. I mean not really what kind of yeah,
that's okay, No, it's but now, but now I think
my life is getting a little bit more in check.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Good.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
So I think I think we're gonna be good to
go for a little bit. Go because I miss this, like.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
I do too. I missed this so fun.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Yeah, and I think I'm more fired up now too,
because Corey's dad, CJ listens.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Okay, I'm obsessed with that when they were texting me
and then you just talked to me about it this morning.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Obsess So CJ listened, So shout out to CJ. Shout
out CJJ.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
My favorite listener. Sorry dad, Yeah, sorry.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
I mean, to be honest, the fact that CJ thinks
were funny, that is all I needed to hear. I
totally agree, Like my life I think is made. Sorry, Corey,
I don't really care if you think I'm funny, but
the fact that your dad thinks I'm funny.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
No, I feel like if someone's dad thinks you're funny, then.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
You win, right, you win like that.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
I don't know what the game is, but you win.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Yeah, you are winning. Maybe at life. Maybe maybe it's
a game of life. You've won.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah, So thanks CJ. That's really CJ's the pepping must
step this morning. Yes, I know.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Like I'm driving there, I'm thinking like, okay, we're recording
this episode.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Oh but kind of the pressure is on.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Yeah, we have to stay, we have to be funny.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Okay, I'll give him a joke.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Oh that's your joke. I love a good joke.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Okay, what's the DJ's favorite sauce ry?

Speaker 1 (01:45):
I don't. I don't know, never never, So I got
a comment on it or ttokers up recently is like
you're a joke and I wanted to get on and
like like, yeah, do something like that. Okay, that was
really good. Is there a follow up?

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Sure?

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Is that same DJ? What's his son's name? If he's
gonna name a son, what do you name it?

Speaker 1 (02:11):
I don't know. Eric, Okay, yeah, dad jokes are the
best jokes.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Yeah, I totally agree.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
That was good, the good little laugh to start everyone's day.
So I hope you'll enjoyed that. I hope you got
a little giggle and then use that for the next
time you have to stand up and tell joke.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
It's so fun. Everyone loves that joke. I've never you know,
I've used that joke one hundred times. I can't sit
here and say I just thought about it the top
of my head. I do that all. It's like your
go to it's a go to joke. But the only
people who haven't laughed look at me like this, I
hate dad jokes. Why they're losers.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
I'm sorry, then you have zero fun in life. I
agree the fact that you can't laugh at a dad joke,
or they're.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Trying to force themselves not to laugh because they don't
want to give me that ego, which is fine too.
I have it anyway.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
I don't need you. I don't need you to boost
it already. I get plenty of other laughs. Thank you.
You're just the one of like five hundred that don't laugh.
So thanks. Remember that time we were live on TikTok
and we were reading off jokes. That was great.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
So I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
If you were not a jokester, then you're a joke.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
We need to do that again.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Yes, okay, fine.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Does CJ have a TI talk? Could we join our lives? Wait?

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Shut up? Let me so, I know missus lowis eyes. Yeah, okay, done?
So yeah, next time we go live on TikTok, we'll
have a special guest. Can't wait. Okay, So, since we've
been gone for a while, I say we just do
a brief life update.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Sure, do you want to start? Yeah, my life update.
Nothing really new. Relationship wise, we're good, going fine, going great.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Okay, I wasn't gonna say going fine. Oh yeah, eight,
but great. I like you, you know how I am.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
I know I kind of minimized.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
But I feel like this has been going solid for
a good period of time now.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
But that's the first time we ever hung out in
person was first week in March.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Oh my gosh, this is great a long time. This
is going really well.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
I know.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Okay, So we're good there, okay. Drummer Boy.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Drummer Boy.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
The fact that that was the first way you introduced him,
it's really funny to me now because I literally like
when I hear drummer boy, like I Christmas, like a
Christmas or like a nerd, like a dorky nerd, like yeah,
drummer boy, you know, like band drum drummer boy like
a drum in the high school. Yeah, which, like that's
not nerdy, no disrespect to drummers.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
It's sick.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
I don't have that coordination.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Yeah, but no, I get it. Yeah, but like.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Seeing him now, like pictures of him, drummer boy in
him do not they don't.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
You're perfect? Good?

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Yeah, that's why I like it.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
That's great, girls listening. Yeah, drummer boy is such a
nerd and he's such a loser and he's not even
worth like trying to find.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Don't look him up, but don't even show any interest,
because I promise.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
No. Honestly, I feel like I'm the type of person
that would just pop out, like the first post of
a boyfriend is gonna be like happy four year anniversary. God,
I could.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
See you doing that. That is incredible.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
That would be me.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
But I think that's hard lunch, happy four years I've
loved you for four years? Or just engagement photos?

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Oh no, that would be me. That's what I'll do,
not saying we'll get it married. I don't know stress,
I'm sweaty. Did your dad used to do that to
you when he would say, knock on wood, he would
knock on.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Your head me too, Well, my favorite knock on wood
isn't joke.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Like it, that's my favorite.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Yeah, that's the best.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
I'll do this too. I do it too. No, I
do it too because I grew up that way.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
It's funny.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
My dad always not gonna would.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
You're stupid nothing in there, hollo.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
But yeah, that's so. Relationship is great.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Uh, okay, you're in the gym every day.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
I'm in the gym every day. It's like literally days
and Sunday.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Your snapchats, I'm like, she's literally I track you. She's
in the gym again, She's in the gym. This is no,
it's it's incredible.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
I so four probably years at this point, I'm always like, like,
one of my favorite influencers in the world is Whitney Simmons.
Do you know who that is? I don't know. She's
literally a gym influencer, and I've followed her since high
school and I've been like, yeah, She's my queen. Okay,
she's my favorite. I watch her vlogs, I watch her

(06:58):
workout videos, I watch everything. Ye shot up Whitney. You'll
never hear this, but I love her. She might what
if I could. But I've always four years wanted to
be a gym girly. Yeah, and I just have never
done it. I get lazy. I would go for like
three days and I'll be like, my thing was jim anxiety.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
I don't know, that's a that's.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
That was every time I think, like I would get
a gym membership and I would walk on a treadmill.
Didn't want to run because maybe I look for weird running,
you know, like it's a whole thing. I didn't want
to use some machines because I don't really know exactly
how to use the machines. And am I going to
look like a loser if I read the machine like
instructions on the side of the machine, the sticker.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
You're literally that is a real thing. That is how
so many people feel.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
I didn't want to go up to the dumbbells because
all the guys are on the benches in front, like
in the mirrors. It was like it was everywhere in
the gym. I was just uncomfortable. Okay, yeah, something happened.
I don't know. I thank god. I just I went
in there one day, I went to it. I got
a new gym. First of all, okay, sort of going

(08:04):
to a new gym. It's really nice, beautiful whatever. And
I was just like, I'm going to pretend today that
I'm switching gyms, not that I'm first time goer. Yeah,
I'm switching gyms. And I do this all the time.
Like that was in my head. I was like, I
do this all the time. I like manifested it.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Absolutely. That's incredible. That's how you should like.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
I was like, I'm gonna look, I'm not even gonna
look nervous. I'm just gonna like have a game pan.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Yeah, I look hot, I'm working on myself.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Great. And then I did that one day and I
was like, oh, that literally was fine. Yeah, no one.
First of all, no one looked at me.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
See, And that's huge. When you said, though, how like
going in front of guys to grab dumbells, I'm not
gonna lie like sometimes I'm like do I have sweat
in my crack? Do I have a camel toe?

Speaker 2 (08:48):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (08:49):
My gosh, am I nipping right now? Like you think
of all these things, you're like, uh, like that's still
going my head right now.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
I okay. I may be in the gym every day,
it's only been a month, but still I'm not strong
upper body witers. My legs are kind of nice like
upper body. I have a noodles for arms, and they
literally got middle no, but they literally don't do anything
like they might as well chop be chopped off. Okay,

(09:17):
But also I had an anxiety stupid because first who cares?
But I was like, oh my gosh, the GM bro
is gonna be like making fun of me in their
head if I grab the ten pound weights, who cares?

Speaker 1 (09:30):
You know, because most of them are grabbing really light
weight too, like for men like you walk in and
I look at that, and I'm like, so the fact
that you have any judgment on anybody is pretty sadrist
usually what you have in your hand.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
And honestly, I'm gonna be I'm gonna be really honest.
I have no idea if they're even looking or caring.
It's all in my head.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
No, they're and they're not. They're not the only time
I've ever looked at somebody working out this one lady
like for lap pull downs. She was standing on the
seat okay, not sitting standing on it and doing some
weird like like circle lap pulled down but not pulling
it down. It was really odd, And that was a

(10:10):
time where I was like, does she know how wild
this looks? I think she might be breaking the machine?

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Also like what's that working? I don't care, I don't know.
I'm just curious. I'm genuinely like you see that, Yeah,
I want to know. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
So that's the only time I've really ever.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
Been like get up and just starting like there's a
gym series of like doing outrageous exercises and see how
many people we can get to look and follow along,
like you know that thing where it's like, yeah, like
my dad does this all the time out.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Podot exactly where he looks up and it's like.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
What And so then everyone else around she's like, wait,
what are you looking at? And he'll be like gotcha,
And I'm like, are you freaking kidding me?

Speaker 2 (10:47):
I vividly remember your dad just walking around them all
with his hands up.

Speaker 4 (10:51):
Yes, I don't know it's my dad, But that's the thing,
like let's see how the people we can get on
that trend of doing crazy stuff in the gym. We
should honestly like post post like you're a booty pump
at and be like, if you want to pump like this, then.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
Show like crazy yeah exercises.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
See who joins in? Perfect? Okay?

Speaker 3 (11:12):
Done?

Speaker 2 (11:12):
No, because then you're gonna have the beefy gym bros
in your comments. Why girls suck?

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Yes? Literally, there's this one guy on TikTok who will
whatever it's called where you show their video and then
you talk over. He stitches these videos of girls working
out and then critiquing their workouts. I've seen him. I
cannot stand him. I'm like, dude, just stick to your
own stuff. Why so you're getting content for this by
roasting females and then working out? Can we not just
like be happy girls are working out?

Speaker 2 (11:38):
Yeah? Like come on, That's what I had to get
in my head too with the gym inxiety thing. Anybody
who's looking at me and judging me, screw you.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
Yeah, I'm literally here in working out uttering myself.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
What are you judging?

Speaker 5 (11:53):
Yeah, you're weird, You're the weirdo, You're the you're in
here for the same reasons I am, just because like
I don't know, oh, complete technical things because I'm still new.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
But also you shouldn't if you're not someone who went
to school to learn all of that stuff or did
a certification course. Just watching videos on like work like
different exercises. That's not gonna flat out.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
Tell you like exactly what exactly you're working and correct form.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
That's just not it. So people are just.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
And can I give some advice too, because I truly
would not be offended. Yeah, if you ever look at
me in the gym or someone and you're like, oh,
that form is actually really wrong and they could hurt theirself, Okay,
can you say something? Yes, I wouldn't be offended.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Okay, See, you wouldn't be, but a lot of people do.
Because I was lifting right next to these boys probably
two weeks ago, and they were doing rdls and when
I say, there was no hippinge. It was a curl
of the back to go down and I was like,
oh my gosh. And he kept doing it and kept
adding weight and it was like you could tell first
time lifting, and he was lifting with a guy who
was doing it correct. I'm like, how are you not
telling your friend, he's breaking his bag right now. I

(12:59):
mean he literally would just like curl down and come
back up. I'm like, are you like touching your tongues?
Not bad.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
R d ls. It was on my workout plan. I
literally didn't do them for two weeks because I was terrified,
and every day it was that day to do them.
I would look at my brother and I would make
him watch me do them at home over and over
and over. He's like, you're doing it right, and then
I'd get to the gym and be like, no, I
don't know how to do it well.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
They're scary for a few reasons though. They're scary because
you can hurt your back, and you don't want to
look like. You don't want to look a certain way
when you're doing them because you want to make sure
you're like doing them crazy, they can't actually hurt you.
And then if you don't have squatproof pants or leggings on,
it's like, wow, everybody, I'm bending over my leggings or
whatever are stretching. Here's mandawear.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
I'm doing them now. Though I'm only using dumbbells right
now because I'm scared.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
That's fine. Those are great I'd rather use dumbells.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Dumbles are great. Yeah, who knew?

Speaker 1 (13:53):
Who freaking knew? Well, curly, Yeah, it was.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Exciting and I've never gotten to the point we're I
actually like enjoyed it and like don't want to stop
and look forward to going. And that's where I'm att.
I'm really happy in front of myself.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Yeah, we should maybe like meet up and do like
a series and like we're it, be miked up and
be in the gym together.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
I would love that.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
I think that could be fun and be funny and
work out.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
I'm not one of those girls who looks like really
cute doing it, though, And we could.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
Do like a matching like pink set or something. We
could we could oh my.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Gosh, what if we got a darker pick and a
lighter pink and we swished pants and tops?

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Shut up?

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Okay, this is a song in my head.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Okay, yes, done, cute.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
I sweat is my point of this whole thing.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
Well, if you're not, it's your fat burning. Have you
seen that? Sweat is your fat or crying? Sorry not
burning your fat crying? Sweat is your fat crying. We
used to literally have that sign in the weight room
at Albama. What is your fat? Crying? And I'm like,
someone get a sonic going in here.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
I want to be like I see some of these
girls on TikTok, no judgment, I'm jealous. They do a
whole workout and I'm assuming they complete the workout, you know,
and they have like a b of sweat maybe how
I am a man, That's okay, I sweat.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
I love a good sweat though, me too.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
I'm not mad at it. I'm just saying, like, if
you're expecting, if anyone's expecting a cute Jim girl is
not gonna.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
Be we are we listen though, shimmer sparkle.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
I yeah, I'm wet. Woa. Oh wow yeah, I don't know. Wow.
What what is like just being in there and like
really loving it, like really getting excited about going to
get so excited and soaked soaked? Wow, my my fat

(15:46):
starts crying? Wow, sweating sweating. Wow.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
For that reason, girlies like inrated me in the gym.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
It's underrated.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
Sure sounds like it. So my life updates here that uh,
you know, sometimes bad things happen in threes. But then
I started realizing, like maybe it was more like four
and five maybe four, I don't know. So I had
surgery on my toe. That was one reason we couldn't record.
I've forgot about that. I had seargery ound my neck,
couldn't record, and uh got my stitches out like four

(16:22):
days ago, three days ago, I don't know. Anyways, it's
still pretty swollen. I'm wearing my own Cloud tennis shoes
because it's the only shoe that fits my foot right now.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
Oh wow, So that happened.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
Then I was getting depressed because I literally sat at
home and couldn't move, and I'm like, I'm never having
surgery again. I hate this.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
This sucks.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
So then I was like, okay, Mom, like let's go
to the gym, Like get me out of this house,
like I need to do something, like even though I
can't walk, I can do upper body stuff. We're in
the gym, phones are faced down, we're just working out,
and we both turn our phone over. It's like, oh,
I have a miss call from Nana. Mom's like I
have a miss call from Nana, and we're like that's weird.
And then Peyton calls. It's like, hey, Nana's trying to
get in touch with y'all. Doc is having a stroke.

(16:59):
Oh no, I couldn't walk. We ran out of that gym, like,
ran straight to the car, didn't look back. I don't
even know what our weight situation was. Left, go straight
to Nana's house. Call her and Doc is having a stroke.
We tell her to hang up, call an ambulance. Ambulance
shows up. We're there with them, and he is having
a hard time talking like it was. I'm not gonna

(17:19):
go in all those details, but it was one of
the saddest things I have honestly ever seen because Doc
so Doc is my granddad. He was a dentist or
the honist, a professor at Walla State Community College. It's
my mom's dad, and we've always lived super close to them,
so we're very close with that side of our family
and like terms of seeing them so often, so it

(17:40):
was really hard to see that. We took him to
the emergency room. He was there all night. It was
just long whatever. Now he's in rehab. He had to
go to a rehab center for a few days, but
now he still goes to see a speech therapist. But
he's home now, which is good. We got to actually
go to dinner last night to celebrate his birthday. And
my mom's birthday in Lila's birthday, so that was really fun.

(18:02):
And then it's.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
So weird the timing because my granddad was in the
hospital for like same timing.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
Yeah, I won't go into those details at all, but yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Rough, wow, I mean it's so sad.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
It's hard to watch.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
It's so hard to watch.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
I'll just say my granddad is like huge man, like
six probably six ' four. He's always been big, like
almost three hundred pounds. He's six four and weighs two
hundred and ten pounds right now. Yeah, things are not great.
So I feel you. It's horrible time and it.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Sucks like because you know, like we literally have for
the fourth drive played Putt Putt yeah with Die Yeah,
and Corey was there like that. It's just hard to
see that from like I don't know. And he's to
talk and he's so smart.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Well that's what I was just about to say.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
He's so smart and so intelligent, and so him not
being able to say all the things he wants to
stay frustrated and he gets so frustrat and that's hard
to watch. So I still went to line dancing that Thursday,
and then I supposed flat to see Corey Friday, and
I was like, I don't know, like I don't know
if holy family, but he was like doing a lot better.
It was more of just okay, next steps. So I
was leaving and it was not like things were gonna

(19:15):
necessarily get worse, so to go and seeing Corey and
being with him and his family, like, it was great
for me to be there and spit my mind off
of everything. And obviously I hadn't seen him in I
think five or six weeks, so I'd missed him a lot.
It was good to see him. And I'm trying to
come back for line dancing and flight gets delayed and
delayed and delayed, miss connecting fight in Atlanta, miss line dancing.

(19:36):
So I get off the plane because it's still storming.
I'm like, well, just uber back to Port Saint Lucy
to see Corey. I already missed my flight already. But backtrack,
So one and two happened. Surgery, bummer, doc sucked all
the way to line dancing, and I'm tracking watching Corey's
baseball game first ever and seeing le Ay and it

(19:56):
says steals the second injury delay. First of all, I
was like Corey, why are you stealing a second? You're
a power hitter. He's a big dude, like stealing and
we don't. You don't do that. You didn't do it
in college. I don't know why. Anyways, I text his
mom and I'm like, hey, because they were at the game.
I was like, please tell me that's not him. She's like, yep,

(20:18):
it is. He rolled his ankle and I was like,
oh my gosh, so high ankle sprain. Then he went
to play in first runner runs straight into him and
like knocks his necklace off, his hat, his glass, like
everything off, or he cut his nose. Worried then he
might have had a concussion. He didn't, so that happened.
I'm like, okay, I've really been diving into my faith Lord,

(20:38):
what is going on?

Speaker 2 (20:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (20:40):
Like this makes me angry, like all these things for
what for why? So then I'm trying to get back,
can't get back on my flight, so I go back
stay and then I'm to leave on a Sunday And
then he's like, well, I'm actually playing Sunday now, and
I'm like, are you freaking kidding me? Yes, I'm literally
about to leave and you're finally gonna be healthy again
to play like, so I texted Cam and I was like, hey,
do you care if I day and like watch a game.

(21:01):
So I got to watch Sunday's game. We went deep
sea fishing Monday, and then watched Tuesdays game, then came
back Wednesday, so not I'm back. I went on to
each trip this past weekend for one of my best
friend's birthday, and I definitely want to dive into that
maybe next episode, but that's kind of my life updates.
I don't really boom boom boom. So we're busy. We're
finally on the up and up though, like things have

(21:22):
turned around. And seeing Doc yesterday was just happy and
but it's getting better, so everything's more back to normal.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
Good good. Yeah, My my granddad's out of the hospital
on home. I think I want to see him this afternoon.
Good good, that'll be good. That'll be really good.

Speaker 1 (21:40):
Yeah seeing seeing them back at home too, yeah a lot,
yeah better and he Doc was so happy to get home.
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
Oh, I know, like my granddad's spent it was I
think five weeks. Yeah, so he was not happy.

Speaker 1 (22:01):
Holy crap.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
Yeah, he was five miles yeah yeah, and no one
can like stay with them, you know.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
See Nana did a little bit, but then like would
go home and then ain't carry mom. But they would
all like rotate because.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
They my aunt and my mom and my nana all
kind of they all went together like the whole time. Yeah,
but not all three of them could spend.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
The night and no lady save on their recliner.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
It's not like it's like banana. My nana is just not.
She can't sleep in overnner like a hospital. She can't
do that. She shouldn't. She would, don't get me wrong,
Yeah she could and would yahn't No, so my I
don't think my aunt wanted her to do that. So
they ended up getting a hotel in Birmingham like a lot.

(22:48):
So yeah, that's what they did. Yeah, but it kind
of I think it made my granddad feel at peace
to know that they were close. Yeah sure, you know
for sure because the hospital from their house is like
an hour fortes.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
Okay then yeah, being close. Well another thing too that
was really cool is so Doc had to see an
occupational therapist, physical therapist, and speech therapist. The physical therapist
asked him, so, when you go home, what's the one thing.
You want to get back to doing that you did before,
and he said, I want to be able to walk
the dogs. So the physical therapist was taking him outside,
going uphill, downhill, over rocks, like doing incredible And I'm like,

(23:22):
whoever this physical therapist is, I don't know your name,
and incredible, thank you? Like that is people doing their job.
I'm sorry. Doing less than that is not doing your job.
That is incredible, Like people like you.

Speaker 2 (23:36):
That's like show that you care about what they we're
not genuinely accomplished, not just like getting a patient over with.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
And getting a paycheck like I'm doing what I'm supposed
to get a paycheck. Like that's you like actually pouring
into somebody and the fact that like we our family
has talked about that like over and over again, like
oh my gosh, so you really did in such a
sad time. You were a little light during all that,
so like thanks.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Was that's really sweet.

Speaker 1 (24:01):
I know it put a lot in perspective too of
just doing your job, like doing it like doing the most,
do the most. Yeah, okay, I was like, oh.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
I know, I agree, that's sweet.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
I know. So not to like take all this and
turn it sad no, things are doing. Things are doing
a lot better. It was just a it was a
period of time where I was like sad, yeah, I'm sure,
I'm like and angry, like what the heck am I
doing wrong? Like I literally started doing my morning devotional
when I got back from the cruise because the girls
in the cruise brought their Bibles. They're doing all their

(24:36):
the days in the morning, and I'm like my Bible
up on my phone, like I can read it. I
don't know. I was like, dang, like I like, I'm
very religious, but like I felt like I was slackened.
But he was great seeing them do that. So when
I got back, I was likekay, I might spend time
with the Lord every single morning, and I was doing
it very consistently. It was great. And then all these
things happened and I was like, so is this what

(24:56):
I get for pursuing you Lord? Is this what I get?
And I'm not really, not really, But then it's been
good because it's like, Okay, actually, during this time with
all these things happening, and I've been pursuing my faith,
like I have the Lord to lean on because I've
been pursuing it a lot more so and I've continued
on with that and it's been great. I think one
thing that it can tie into with this podcast is

(25:17):
we've been very excited and hopeful with all of it.
But one thing my devo has been over and over
and over and over again is fear. And it's like
the desires and passions we have on our heart like
for us this podcast, Yeah, I feel like truly the
Lord put this on our hearts to be like, go
get it and then doing everything to be excellent not mediocre,

(25:38):
right and that and that looks like being bold and
fearless when going about it. So it's been for me like, well, dang,
I've missed week after week after week, but I'm so
excited to be back and get this going because I'm like,
we need to go for this, We all in need
to go. But we've said that over and over and
over again. Like now I like, I'm like, Okay, I'm
gonna put it into action, like I'm not just gonna

(25:58):
talk about like we're gonna do it. We're gonna do
at adaham thing.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
I'm excited. I am too because I love doing this,
like even just yes, spending time and being able to
talk and catch up more than we ever have in
our lives. Yes, it's so nice. Yes, And just the
connection of it all, like meeting the connections out there, y,
Like I love those people out there, They're so nice
and helpful.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
Absolutely, And I was listening to Call Her Dady yesterday
and listening to Megan Maroney's episode, Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
Okay, sorry, but she's literally.

Speaker 1 (26:29):
Could be a best friend just sitting here chilling with us,
and everything she goes through is everything we've been through.
So then it made me even more excited, like us
getting here and talking like it's gonna relate to one person.
It doesn't matter at least one person or entertainment like
it is to CJ. So no matter what, we have
one person who enjoys this.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
And besides that, I'm upsessed with it.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
And that's fine by me. Me too, Well, that's Jay,
it's all for on fine by me. Literally text me
when I got home, I was like, hey, girl, how's
your foot? How's the flight? And like checked in on me,
and I'm like, that's so nice.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
I love when people do things that they genuinely just
like don't have to do, Like you don't have to
do at all.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
But it literally made my day. And because it's it's J,
it's literally I'm not kidding. Yeah, we are not bulldog fans,
but CJ. We'll bark, we'll.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
Bark, all right, Yeah, let's cut that.

Speaker 1 (27:35):
They're a nice little intro in life update. Love it, Okay, Well,
we love y'all. And thanks for being a part of
the at A Girl Out a Boy gang. Yeah, because
I do feel like we have a lot of male listeners.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
We do.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
We got our out of boys, got our out of girls.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
Yep. So I love it.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
Thank y'all.
