Gonna start off. We're gonna startoff tonight looking at the local teams.
So starting with the Phillies and theEagles here, we'll start with the Eagles,
actually Eagles. You know, there'scall how do I put it?
It's the weird we're spoiled little bit. I guess where we're two and ozero,

and yet we are like it seemslike everyone's more down on this team
than up. Look, you wentup to New England. You gotta win.
I get it was a little ugly, right, it was. It
was a little bit you know,down to the wire. You're you think
you're a better team than the Patriots, and we are. I get it.
But again opening week going up againstBelichick, who you know, little

bit up and down, well reallydown since Brady left. I get it.
But it's still going up to NewEngland to beat Belichick and you got
the win. Was it a dominantperformance? No? Did the passing game
look bad? Yeah, but thatdoesn't mean that I'm going to be down

on this team right now. Again, you went up there and got to
win. Fast forward then to lastThursday night. You play the Minnesota Vikings.
Vikings thirteen wins last year, right, Remember, I get that it
was a little fraudulent where they werewinning games that were they had an incredible
record and won score games, butstill thirteen wins last year out of that

team. They come in here onThursday night and the Eagles really kind of
had control the game most of theway and then yeah, a little bit
of a little bit of falling aparttowards the end. The defense didn't look
spectacular. Besides the turnovers. Weforced the turnovers, but besides that,

they look Jefferson cooked us, andJefferson cooks everybody. So that's okay.
He also had the fumble, whichis a huge swinging point. But overall,
that Eagles defense I thought played allright. The offense is was interesting,
the run game clearly working really well. DeAndre Swift had a hell of
a game. I mean, ifI don't know, if he stays healthy

and Gamewell comes back, you havea great one two punch with those two.
Penny and Boston Scott will get theirturns in this. Again, this
is a heavy running offense. Ithink that's what this team is good,
right, That's what that's where we'regoing to build our make our bread and
butter is through running the ball onoffense. I get it's a little frustrating
at times when you know, wewant to see Jalen b that, you

know, Mahomes Burrow alan esque passer. He's not there yet. I look.
I mean, I don't think I'llever be my Homes, that's one
thing. But like he's not aspure a passer as a Burrow or an
Allen. He's just not. Hedoes other things really well. He runs
the ball really well, He makessmart decisions, doesn't turn the ball over
too much usually at least based onthe sample size, from last year had

a couple of ugly throws in thatVikings game. We know what we saw
it, and that just wasn't fullyworking. Besides, he had a good
connection with DeVante Smith. That wasit. And I look where we still
won the game. I guess tosee, I'm doing it myself now.
I'm talking to myself like I'll hearall the problems. They still won the
game. Right, you beat ofthe Vikings, You're two and out.

Now you're going into a Monday nightgame where you're gonna play up against Tampa
Bay and Baker Mayfield, who arealso two and out. To their credit,
Tampa Bay is having a little bitof a fun start to the year.
I still think that this Eagles teamis just too talented to really struggle
against Tampa Bay. I think TampaBay is worse than Minnesota. I know

Tampa Bay beat Minnesota week one,I get. I still think overall they're
worse than Minnesota. And I thinkTampa Bay is kind of on par with
New England. And it does seemkind of like a perfect storm situation for
me, where the Eagles are justready to finally have a game where they
put it all together and everyone's focusingon the negatives of those first two games.
I'm focusing on the positive. We'retwo and OW. We're going into

Week three playing a Tampa Bay team, which I know they're two and O,
but I think we are going tojust more or less steam roll.
You know, maybe I'm over confident. I get like Tampa Bay deserves some
credit. They've played really well,but I think this is a steam roll
match. I think the Eagles actuallyput it all together. They have the
extra rest from the Thursday night gamein the week before, and I think
they're gonna put the all together andjust really kind of slaughter them, if

I'm being honest. Overall, sowe'll see. I think the key matchup
is gonna be, Hey, canwe get get pressure on the defensive line?
Get get a Baker He doesn't donot that any quarterback does great under
pressure, but he particularly is notgood when you get pressure in the pocket
on him. Force him in tomake mistakes. We know who'll throw the
ball up. Get them to createsome turnovers and on offense, and I'm

fine, run the ball, havethe run, create the create the passing
game. Jalen will be able topass. Just you but use the run
to let him ease into it.That's fine. We're great at running the
ball. There's no problem with that. I don't care if you put up
one hundred points running or one hundredpoints passing, does not matter. It's
still one hundred points. And Iexpect the Birds to kind of go in
there Monday night and just absolutely takecare of business. I'll talk about that

one a little bit later when weget into our pick segment. Next,
want to dive into the Phillies andwhere they're at. Again, You've heard
me for months. We're the topwild card. I'm not losing any sleep
on that. That's where they're goingto finish up, and it's just kept
progressing towards that direction. Still.Right now, as we're looking at the
standings heading into tonight, Phillies arethree games up on the Diamondbacks, where

in the second wildcard slot. Diamondbacksup two games on multiple teams, are
up two games on the Marlins,Cubs, and too, I guess tachually
two and a half games on theReds who are fighting for that last wildcard.
It's an interesting question obviously, Looknine games to go for the Phillies.
It's seeming likely. I guess thatthe well look right now, if

everything holds, the Diamondbacks have thatsecond wildcard slot. They're an interesting team.
Obviously came a little bit out ofnowhere last year, one of the
worst in the MLB. There's aythey have a good young core now.
Corbyn Carroll for the Diamondbacks is anelite outfielder. If you get to watch
that interesting to see what he doesin the playoffs in his first stint.

But this is probably your rookie ofthe year in the National League, and
the guy does have an electric bat, kind of a five tool guy,
really good in the outfield, andhe is going to be one of the
more electric players I think to watchin this league going forward. I think
the Diamondbacks hit on that one becausehe just looks like a stud. Outside
of that, they have some othersolid players. Christian Walker their first baseman,

very solid, underrated hitter. Oneof the big reasons that they've been
been able to get up there intothis wild card scenario this year. He
has had a phenomenal year. He'sbeen a good player for several years.
Actually, He's just one of thoseguys that flies under the radar and you
know he'll be fun to watch ifthey come in here. On the pitching
side, Zach Gallen's the Ace hada great first half, elite first half,

actually started the National League, startedfor the National League in the All
Star Game, came back to Eartha little bit in the second half.
We'll see his stats right here.Let's see pulled them up. So currently
this season he's he already bounced allthe way up to three six. It
was I believe sub three to theAll Star Game. So I'm being a
little bit rougher of a second half. He's sixteen and eight over two hundred.

K's twenty eight years old, sohe's, you know, kind of
in that prime arm. So he'sa live arm. But outside of that,
the Diamondbacks just don't scare me,then full if that's as fair to
say, like, I'm not gonnabe terrified of the Diamondbacks coming in here.
I'm not gonna be scared that muchof any team that's really on this
list going in. I think myworst matchup, if you make me call

it, out of the teams thatare in there, I'll say it's the
Marlins, just because they do havesome young pitching. Uri Perez really solid
arm and they have There's there's alittle bit of a swagger to the Marlins,
which I do want to give themcredit for, like they do have
uh you know, jazz, ChisholmLuisa Ray is this guys that have a
little swagger that can hit the ball. I'm not terrified of them, but

I will say I think that's mylast matchup that if I'm the Phillies,
I want to see come in here, especially since you know as a if
you if you're a Phillies fan,you know that for some reason, the
fish seem to bite us at theworst times. That's just traditionally what goes
on for the Phillies and running intothem in the first round. I think
we'll be fine, but that's myleast favorite matchup of them all. I

also did just want to touch onthe teams that are just out of it.
I mean, technically still mathematically init, but man, the Giants
have Giants have fallen off. Theyjust have They're now three games out of
it. And he doesn't sound likethat much. I get it, but
that with when you're competing with fourother teams in front of you for two
slots and now you're the fifth one. Three games backs a lot to make

(09:33):
up in you know, nine tengames, they're more or less eliminated.
Gabe Kapler. I think it's stilla decent job by him, if I'm
being honest, I don't think thatSan Francisco rosters anything special. Logan Webb's
an elite pitcher. They have thatoutside of him. It's not a ton
of big names there. Alex Cobbhad a decent ear pitching for them,
and their bullpens all right. Onoffense, it's a pretty weak lineup.

Tyrostrada had a decent ear, butthis is not much pop there. I
really feel like they kind of startedfalling apart as they came into Philly,
and I believe we swept that series, or maybe we took two out of
three. I think we took twoout of three. We lost the last
one. But things have seemed tobe going wrong for the Giants ever since
that series happened. So they're onthe outside looking in. Assie only one

game up on the Padres, whowe feel like. I feel like the
Padres have been out of it nowfor months, which is a very interesting
turn of events that the Padres cannow finish in front of the Giants.
I guess tenually, mathematically, Padrescan still make the playoffs, but you
know, there's only so many gamesleft, nine games left for them.
It looks like and this is notgoing to be that. It's just not

feasible. It's it's not what's gonnahappen. Three games to make up in
nine games sounds feasible, but whenthere's so many teams in between, it
is not going to happen. Somy official prediction again coming down. I
guess we'll teninally have a show nextweek for us. But I'll give you
the prediction now. If you're callingme who makes the playoffs, we're talking
this time next week Philly's top wildcard, I'll say the Deep Acts hold on

(11:00):
to that second wild card relatively well. I want to say, easy schedule
on the stretcher at the Yankees startingnight, then three with the White Sox.
There's are easy stretch than three withthe Astros. But the Astros potentially
might not need the games, whichwill you know that's gonna be something the
monitor because if the Astros care,that hurts the Dimes. If the Astros
don't care, then they can reston their laurels a little bit. But

let's say the Dimes get that secondslot and for the third slot, oh
man, who gets it? Icould art it's Cubs or Marlins for me.
Let's look at the schedules. Let'slook at the schedule. Let's break
this down. So the Marlins havenine games. Everyone has nine games,
pretty much. They got three withthe Brewers, three with the Mets,
three with the Pirates. Those lastsix are pretty nice for the Marlins.

(11:45):
That's not a bad schedule at all. The Cubbies on the other side,
let's see, they got three withthe Rockies, three with the Braves,
three with the Brewers. Slightly harderschedule for the Cubs. The Rockies obviously
easy, Braves and Brewers not easy, although the Brewers could also be resting
on their laurels at that point.Actually, the Brewers probably will. They'll
be locked in. So no,what I'm gonna say, the Cubs sneak

(12:05):
in there. I think the Cubsare gonna find a way to sneak out,
sneak into that wild cards not in. The Fish are on the outside
looking in, which makes me happy, because again I don't want to see
the Fish in the playoffs. Itjust does a weird young good core.
I think that team scares me mostof the teams we're talking through. And
then right after that it's wild Cardweekend. Maybe we'll get right into that.
It's gonna be really exciting, butI'm gonna take a quick break now.

When we come back, it's allfootball, all picks. We're gonna
go through the NCAA card, gothrough the NFL card, and just deep
dives all the way around. Comingback a couple minutes on balls, bats,
and mets. Right after this thegame Phillies Home for all Things sports,
gambling, football, football, football. Oh man, these last two

segments are gonna be fun. We'rejust going to dive in on picks,
picks picks starting off. Well,might as well start with the game that's
going off tonight, at least oneof them. There's several, but there's
one that I have a play in. Looking at Wisconsin versus Perdue. Boiler
Makers are one and two at homehosting Wisconsin right now, depending on your

book, getting about six to fiveand a half points. Spread opened up
at seven, so the money's cominginto the boiler Makers. Wisconsin is two
and one coming into this one earlierlost this year up against Washington State,
and admittedly the other two wins RoisconsinI'm not super impressed with. Yet.
They had a win over Buffalo,went over Georgia Southern. Their only real

competition was the Washington State game.Who is ranked now? So why and
we're gonn talking about Washington State comingup in a little bit because there and
a great matchup. But Perdue isthe next biggest test that the Badgers have
had. Perdue has been actually alittle tested. They've played Fresno Stage,
who's a solid squad out there inthe Mountain West, lost a close one

(13:54):
at home thirty five, thirty ninethirty five, beat Virginia Tech on the
road, and then beat Sere lostto Syracuse at home. Emili this one,
I could see it going either way. The money coming in is telling
you to go with Purdue. Iam leaning that way. Wisconsin has won
seventeen straight over Purdue. I believeI'm checking this out now, which is

pretty pretty crazy. For being ona seventeen straight over a Big ten opponent
that's on your side in the division, I mean, that's that's pretty bad.
The last time that Purdue beat Wisconsin, an undersized freshman QB named Drew
Brees was a backup in ninety seven, so pretty insane on that front.

But we'll see. It's gonna bean interesting game. I think it's gonna
be a low scoring, kind ofugly. I think both teams will play
run it, beat it up football, and that makes me think I'm gonna
take the points. Give me Purdue, give me the six. I'm not
saying they're gonna win it out right, but give me perdue. If you
can get it at six points.I think that's a solid play to start
off your weekend here on Friday night. Next up talking about all the things

games Saturday. This is one ofthe best college football Saturdays. This might
be the best one of the season. Five top twenty five matchups where two
ranked teams playing each other, anotherone just outside it with Florida State Clemson.
So there's i'd say six, likeabsolutely just elite games, and then
obviously a ton of other games outsideof this that I think are very good

as well. We're just gonna startgoing through and where better to start for
college football than with coach Prime rightnow. So Colorado going up against Oregon.
Let me get their rankings up here. Let's see, so Colorado is
number Let's see Colorado comes in atnumber nineteen versus number ten. Oregon.

Man the books just still giving norespect to Coach Prime. Twenty one.
Oregon is favored by Grant. Thegame is in Eugene, so Austin Stadium.
It's gonna be the loud, It'sgonna be crazy. I get that.
I know Sho well. No shitteris playing. Travis Hunter will not
be playing. He's out after theinjury last week. The double ot game

against Colorado State. I hate tosay it because I love the Coach Prime
story. It's so fun. Dion'sfun, Colorado's fun. I think they're
gonna get beat up here. Ithink Oregon's a legit team. I'm starting
to wonder if TCU was a littlebit of a falsey. Now, actually

Nebraska was a decent team as well, So I don't want to rip too
far into this, but I don'tknow how good TCU really is. I
know they made the National title gamelast year. I just don't know if
they had so much turnover on thatroster. I don't know if it's fair
to say, oh, that automaticallymakes Colorado the legit team that they are.
They did then hand on Nebraska,but Nebraska still they did to get
their first win last week, butit was against a nobody beating up on

Northern Illinois. I think Oregon's thefirst real team and it's on the road.
High total. Seventy is our totalthere, so we're gonna get some
points in this game. I thinkit's the Ducks. I think I think
the glisten on Colorado sh comes offa little bit. And that's not to

say that look already, they couldlose the rest of the season almost and
Colorado is going to have more hypethan they did before and they're going in
the right direction, and I don'tthink that's gonna happen. I think they're
gonna have a few interesting games comingup, but I think I think tomorrow
and I've been wrong, so Iwas wrong week one. I went against
him. But I'm gonna lay thetwenty one with the organ. I think

that spreads that high for a reason. It's going up. I mean,
I know there's Travis Hunter injury isleading to that to an extent, but
I have to go that way.So give me Oregon laying the points.
Next up on my list, anotherranked match of a top ten ranked matchup
by many, by many, thegame of the weekend Oregon. Sorry,

it's not working, excuse me.Ohio State versus Notre Dame. Both teams
undefeated. Ohio State three, NotreDame four and oh and just some prime
game primetime game on NBC and peacockit's on both. I am leaning towards
the Irish here. Sam Hartman,a QB experienced Wake Forest for the last

couple of years, then grad transferred. Notre Dame looked fantastic. The Notre
Dame defense has also looked elite overall this, I mean they've they've beat
up on competition so far. NotreDames results forty two three over Navy,
fifty six three over Tennessee State.I get it. Those aren't anything.
But NC State I think it's adecent squad. Beat them forty five,
twenty four at their at their building. And Central Michigan decent team, not

crazy, but h forty one seventeenOhio State. Again, it's Ohio State.
They're gonna put up some big numbers. But twenty three to three over
Indiana, thirty five to seven versusYoungstown State sixty three to ten over Western
Kentucky. They haven't been challenged yet. NC State was at least like a
decent team for Notre Dame to like, you know, you know, wet

their whistle against and they showed upand played well. Ohio State. To
me, I think this is Ithink this is gonna be a very It's
gonna be a wake up call forKyle McCord at the quarterback for Ohio State
and now having to go in andplay against Notre Dame. I know it.
I know better than against Ohio Statein these situations traditionally is the kiss
of death. And also Notre Damehas done a pretty bad job in these

overall long term, at least inrecent memory, in the last ten fifteen
years, these early season prime matchups. But I'm gonna arrivee with the Irish.
I'm gonna go Notre Dame. Thespread is telling me Notre Dame because
you would have thought Ohio State beingOhio State is gonna be favored by you
know, seven eight points here.This a Buckeyes team has a lot to
prove. C. J. Stroud'snot there. They have a lot of

new faces both on offense and defense. Marvin Harrison Junior is an elite talent.
I get that, but I stillI think the Irish, I like
with Patrick free or not Patrick BrianFreeman's doing up there and Notre Dame.
Yeah, I think he's building agood culture. I think this is a
prime game for him to step up. I think the Irish gonna win here.
So give me Notre Dame getting thethree points up there against Ohio State

mostly go on rails. We gotI got so many games to get through.
We got picked this up a littlebit. Next up on my list
Florida State Clemson. Man, theACC game of the year happens early.
We're still in September. Clemson withthe heartbreaker earlier in the year. Will
they be able to turn him backaround? I man, it's something noon

game on ABC. Clemson so farthis year had the loss to Duke early
on Duke Duke's frank Now was thatDuke? I think that was just an
ugly start game since then dominated twoeasy opponents, you know, Charleston Southern
Florida Atlantic. I mean, hey, do you trust Dabbo to actually get
it done in his own building upagainst the number four Florida State team.

Kate club Nick looking better these lasttwo weeks. Jordan Travis has looked very
solid over all throughout the season.Florida State's dominated. Everybody beat up on
LSU week once, so you knowthey are tested. Everything in my gut
is telling me Florida State here.It should be Florida State. That's except
the spread, the spread only beingtwo. It's not easy to go into

Death Valley and win. We knowit's not. This is a pure spread
read. For me, I'm gonnago with Clemson at home. I'm just
gonna take them on the money line. I'm not gonna take the two points.
It's just purely a spread read.There's so much going into that.
We'll see. I think that couldbe our game of the day. And
that's that happens early, that happensat noon. That's so many good games

this weekend. Cheez this board.Next one UCLA Utah. Really interesting match
in the PAC twelve. Actually,the next two I'm not talking about a
PAC twelve, including this one.We'll say, hey, can chip get
it on. New quarterback Dante Moorelooking good so far in early games.
They haven't had too much of atest yet, only real competition. Well
Coast of Caroline is actually a traditionallydecent team. UCLA so far wins over

coach Carolina at San Diego State NCCentral last week. Utah is three and
zero, but they've had some hadsome scares Cam Rising. Let's see it
is came Rising going to play thisweek? I don't know. No,
let's do a quick check on that, because that's going to impact this a
lot. Status. Let's see,we're doing a live check here on the

injury STAPs. Let's see came Risingstatus morning injuries mounting up. It doesn't
say all right, so we're stillquestionable, is what I guess we'll say.
Utah says they would make call onThursday. Sounds like they didn't yet
on came Rising, So I'll haveto monitor that one. Right now.
Utaw a six point favorite. I'mstaying away from that one for now.

If Rising plays, you see withhim, I'm even playing the season.
I don't even know if that impactsme. I'm gonna stay away. Traditionally
Utah at homes very solid, butit seems like an opportunity for Chip and
company. The last step up.Look, Chip, I do believe it's
going to be successful. Ucla overthe long term. Whek he's a good
college coach, not a good NFLcoach, but he's a good college coach.
So I guess slight leaned towards Chipif you want to have a play

on the game. But again,don't love it that either way. Maybe
the over fifty two and a halfsa little bit of an interesting one there.
Next the two teams left behind inthe Pac twelve realignment, but they're
both ranked Oregon State versus Washington State. I've been on the Beavers this year.
I think Oregon State has a prettystacked roster, honestly, and if

dj Ungila can find a way tobe that elite quarterback he was supposed to
be coming out of high school andthen he went to Clemson for a couple
years didn't work out, if hecan be elite or just even good quite
frankly, this is a really solidOregan State team that I think can win
the Pac twelve on the road atWazoo. I mean, that's gonna be
a fun game. That's going tobe a fun Saturday night game. That's

the games on Fox gonna be primetimefor them. Man, there's so many
good games coming up on Saturday Night. It's It's fantastic. The third primetime
game on Saturday Night, this oneon CBS Iowa Penn State. Obviously local
interest in Penn State fourteen and ahalf point favorites. I am leaning towards

Penn State obliterating them Iowa this year, they haven't fully dominated the way I
kind of thought they could have beensome of these early matchups. Utah State
kept it close to them twenty fourfourteen did win the Syhawk Bowl twenty to
thirteen over Iowa State, and thenthey did beat up on Western Michigan forty

one to ten. But I don'tknow. Penn State this year is another
team that I think. I thinkPenn State could win the Big Ten.
They have more talent at their skillpositions this year than they've had in a
long time, and I think thisis the coming out party to show it.
Penn State so far this year beatWest Virginia, Delaware and then last
week cruised by Illinois in their ownbuilding. I think I was going to

try to make the game ugly andtry to keep it close, so the
spread is a little tight. Itcould be around that spreads. I was
very good at making games ugly.That being said, I don't think they
can stop this Penn State team.Nick Singleton is a beast in the backfield
and Drew Aller is an elite quarterbackin the making. So I buy in
the the Lion Nitney alliance at homeagainst Iowa. Really, they're probably second

biggest game of the year at home. Besides when they play Michigan in November,
that place is going to be jumping. Say so, I'm all over
Penn State. I'm well, butsin say Oliver, I'm going to play
the Penn State side of this comingup on Saturday. So those are those
are your like main like, youknow, top twenty five matchups, elite

primetime matches we got going on thisweekend, a lot of other plays I
like, again, running a littletight on time actually, so I'm gonna
do some quick hits. Coming toOklahoma fourteen point favorites over Cincinnati. That
game is at Cincinnati, I believe, Yeah, at Cincinnati. Cincinnati's second
Big twelve game. I'm not mistaken. No, this is their first Big

twelve games since they've joined the conference. Oklahoma, you know, last year
down year for them, not good. This year they've been putting up some
serious numbers dominating Arkansas. They Idon't, but they've played a couple of
cupcakes, but they've put up verybig numbers on the offensive side. Dyllian
Gabriel, I think is trying tobuild up a case to BA Heisman contender.

He's nine hundred five yards, eleventouchdowns, one picks so far this
year, pretty solid numbers. Ithink Oklahoma destroys Cincinnati this year. I
got I got Cincinnati wrong a coupleof weeks back when they beat Pitt.
I was on PIT. I thinkit's more of a down year for Pit
than I believe in Cincinnati. Cincinnatiis really really thin coming back this year.
Only a couple of starters on bothsides of the ball thing. It's
like four to five. I thinkthey're about to get slaughtered by Oklahoma.

picks. But I'm not ready toraise the panic flag on the Vikings yet.

And it's primarily because I don't believeyet in anybody in the division.
I know people want to buy intothe Lions, and I do too.
I really want to buy into theline, but there's something that's just not
quite clicking for me yet. Iknow they beat the Chiefs week one,

the Lions you know, kind ofgot well, not handles wrong where it

was an overtime game, but blewa home game against Seattle in week two.

in trouble. How about the Patriots. Patriots losing to the Eagles Week one

the Jets this weekend. If thePatriots lose to the Jets, it's on

it low score and keep possession,keep Josh Allen off the field. I
