I'll admit that the biggest reason I do this podcast is for selfish reasons. I'm trying to learn more about how to live my healthiest and happiest life. This interview has opened my eyes to some new things I hadn't thought about before.
I always associated the pelvic floor and pelvic health to women who were pregnant or had just given birth. Now I know I'm very wrong.
I spoke with Dr. Samantha DuFlo from Indigo Physiotherapy in the Baltimore area. We discussed the process women go through to get back into a physical routine after giving birth, the difference between health care and wellness, and how pelvic health is important to everyone. It's becoming even more important now that so many of us are sitting down a lot more as our work environments have changed during the pandemic.
